Yeah, you can say that we’re kind of concentrating on the bright side with this whole “RIP” thing. Don Vito passed away at the age of 59 early this morning, and had been struggling with kidney and liver failure for years–which probably also made him like plenty of the younger Jackass personalities. He’d been in a coma for a while, so it’s not that big of a shock.

And just so we’re not whitewashing anything: Vincent Margera’s fame went sour after he was arrested for groping two 12-year-old girls at an autograph signing in a Colorado mall. He was arrested on August 19, 2006, and found guilty of two counts of sexual assault on a minor on Halloween. He was acquitted on another count, but that didn’t keep Don Vito from collapsing on the courthouse floor and shouting, “Just kill me now!”

Apparently, nobody did, and he ended up serving 10 years of probation–which included prohibiting Vincent from being “Don Vito” for a decade. The registered sex offender never got to make his comeback, which might not be that great of a loss. But here are some highlights of his earlier Jackass-ery…

Western Kentucky University just confirmed a student death on campus earlier this afternoon. The identity of the student is currently unknown.

The student was found outside of Pearce-Ford Tower, an all-female community residence hall that houses freshmen to upperclassmen.

The university’s paper WKU Herald first reported the incident on Twitter this afternoon, when the Warrn County Coroner was seen outside of the dormitory.

According to the paper, a body was transported in the truck at 3:39 p.m., and Resident Assistants were instructed to alert their floors that there had been a student death.

Specific details on the incident have yet to be revealed, but police confirmed that there will be a toxicology report.

A further investigation is currently underway, but no foul play is suspected.

Parisian Charlotte Farhan is going viral after a Facebook status posted on Friday detailing why she refused to change her profile photo to show her support for Paris after terrorist attacks shook the city to its core.

In response to the attacks, Facebook gave supporters the opportunity to overlay their profile pic with the French flag. Shortly after, Farhan – who is the editor of online magazine Art Saves Lives International – posted the following status:

As you can see, the status quickly went viral, with more than 132,000 likes and 87,789 shares. She also got a ton of positive responses on her page:

But just like everything on the Internet, Farhan also got some backlash. She took to Facebook again over the weekend to clarify her statement to explain that several life-altering things took place at the same time but were not as highly-publicized. She asserted that Facebook only giving the option to support Paris was a fail on their part:

Unfortunately we learned about ZBT’s upper amenity a little bit too late. Just this past weekend someone Tweeted out a couple of photos of two individuals who snuck out to the roof to take a little nap.

We’re sure that the timing of these pictures has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that “hell week” has started, right? The problem is that Texas’ Dean of Students is looking into the allegations. UT spokesman J.B. Bird said,  “There was an anonymous tip sent to UTPD today alleging an incident of hazing related to a photo of two people on the roof of the ZBT frat house,” Bird said. “[The Dean of Students Office] began looking into it as soon as they received the allegation.”

ISIS reportedly released a new video promising an attack on Washington D.C. and any other country currently participating in the ongoing airstrikes against Syria.

According to Reuters, the video showed up on on a site used by Islamic extremists to post messages to one another. It started out featuring  footage from the aftermath of Friday’s terrorists attacks in Paris, which the French government has deemed an act of war.

Deemed the “crusader campaign,” the message was delivered by a man dressed in fatigues and a turban, and identified as “Al Ghareeb the Algerian” in the production’s subtitles.

“We say to the states that take part in the crusader campaign that, by God, you will have a day, God willing, like France’s and by God, as we struck France in the center of its abode in Paris, then we swear that we will strike America at its center in Washington,” the man said.

While the video is said to be the work of Islamic State fighters in the Iraqi province of Salahuddine, authenticity of the video has yet to be officially confirmed.

“I say to the European countries that we are coming, coming with booby traps and explosives, coming with explosive belts and (gun) silencers and you will be unable to stop us because today we are much stronger than before,” he explained.

Since the Paris terrorist attacks, the French government launched coordinated airstrikes with the U.S., specifically targeting the the city of Raqqa, the so-called “ISIS capital.”

Washington College in Maryland is currently shut down after a shooting threat made earlier today.

“College closed. Shelter in place,” was posted on the liberal arts school’s website earlier this morning.

Shortly after 7:30 a.m., the college elaborated,

We received notification early this morning from the parents of sophomore Jacob Marberger that he had returned home and retrieved a firearm. The parents have not been able to reach him and do not know where he is or where is he is headed.

Due to an abundance of caution the college has decided to close campus for the time being and asks all students and staff on campus to shelter in place. Anyone off campus should stay away from campus until further notice.

Public Safety has requested and received support from local law enforcement who are now on campus. A sweep of the parking lots and campus buildings is being conducted.

Maryland State Police say there is no active threat, but an investigation is currently underway and the school is on lockdown until further notice. Marberger has since been deemed a missing person by police.

Administrators believe Marberger is still in Pennsylvania, but has asked students and faculty on campus to shelter in place, while anyone not there to steer clear of the school.

According to the school’s student newspaper, The Elm, caution sparked after several anonymous threats were made on Yik Yak.

Brown University is offering up an apology after a Latino student attending an annual conference was detained for no apparent reason.

Brown University’s president is promising a full investigation after a campus police officer shoved a Dartmouth student to the ground and handcuffed him for reasons unknown. The president also promises weekly meetings on racial issues to prevent this from happening in the future.

Christina Paxson apologized profusely in an email on Saturday for the “fear and pain” the incident caused earlier that morning.

According to WCVB,

A Dartmouth College student told the Brown Daily Herald student newspaper that a public safety officer threw him to the ground and detained him.

The student was attending an annual conference for Latino students. He told the newspaper he’d re-entered a campus building hosting a party after the officer warned him he could be charged with trespassing. He says he was held until Brown students verified he was a guest.

Charges have not yet been filed and the officer is currently on administrative duty.

You might not know it yet, but the biggest and best football hits weren’t on in an NFL or even college stadium. Instead they came from the intramural fields of Fairfield University where the annual Powderpuff Game took place. It’s a seniors-only event that’s been going on for years, where players gather to get loosened up at the beach before they obliterate each other.

Probably our favorite thing about the whole Powderpuff game, aside from the ridiculously hard hits, are the team names. This is not a joke, this is actually what they called themselves:

The story, which originated from the infamous tabloid, has been making headlines for a week or two but without Charlie’s name. Instead readers were left to guess who they were talking about. People had been speculating that it was the Hollywood playboy–mostly because of the hints that the Enquirer had leaked–but now the cat’s out of the bag.

“In our next issue — to hit newsstands nationwide on November 18 — The ENQUIRER blows wide open the scandal we first revealed last month.

The ENQUIRER exposed how a notorious Hollywood womanizer was hiding a deadly health crisis.”

The National Enquirer claimed at least four women have alleged the actor exposed them to the virus, including his girlfriend Brooke Mueller. This text message, also obtained by The Enquirer, points in that direction:

Additionally, the paper alleges that Charlie has been dealing with the disease since 2011–the same year Sheen was let go from Two and a Half Men. That would be a hell of a coincidence, wouldn’t it? It’d also explain why he went absolutely crazy on set.

We’re going to wait to see the full story before we pass any judgements, but if we find out that if it’s true and that Charlie’s been sleeping around without disclosing his state of health, it’ll be hard to like him. There are also the legal implications to consider.

Update: TMZ has announced that Charlie Sheen will announce on The Today Show with Matt Lauer that he has AIDS.

In a new video unveiled by Internet hacker group Anonymous, the men behind those Guy Fawkes masks have officially declared a war on ISIS.

Posting the video to YouTube, the group stated that they use their knowledge to “unite humanity,” and that “Anonymous from all over the world will hunt you down.”

The man in the video continues with, “We will launch the biggest operation ever against you… Expect massive cyber attacks. War is declared. Get prepared… The French people are stronger than you and will come out of this atrocity even stronger.”

ISIS has since claimed responsibility for the attacks that killed 129 people, and Anonymous is encouraging members to hack into ISIS websites to steal information and leak it online. The group’s Twitter page also claims that they’ve already hacked into and taken down 2256 pro-ISIS social media accounts.

Texas A&M University President and the Board of regents have filed suit against the Indianapolis Colts over the wrong usage of the “12th Man”. Texas A&M sent a cease and desist letter to the Colts in 2006 with no reply. Recently the Colts have sent out a letter to Season ticket holders and fans to “come join the 12th man”, which is a clear violation of TAMU’s copyright.

The 12th man at Texas A&M is our biggest and richest tradition. Hell what did they expect? We have it very clearly hanging out the 3rd deck of Kyle Field behind thousands of rambunctious students yelling their drunken heads off.

TAMU President Michael Young stated, “Texas A&M University is the Home of the 12th Man which has brought our fan base national renown. We would prefer not to file lawsuits to protect our trademarks. However, when our intellectual property, especially the 12th Man mark which is so important to our students and former students, is used without our permission after repeated attempts to engage on the matter, we are left with no choice.”

A Black Lives Matter protest at Dartmouth University ended in violence and vulgar epithets when protesting students stormed through the library chanting and flipping people off.

The event took place this past week in Novack around 7:40 p.m. and participating students dressed in all-black while marching through the school. The night started out with a short speech, to which students apparently responded with “We shall overcome.”

According to The Tab, an anonymous 19-year-old student – who was studying at the time – described the moment when protesters started to walk through:

“I was sitting in Novack studying when a large group of protestors came in chanting ‘black lives matter.’ They gathered in the center of Novack amongst the tables where there were a number of people working peacefully.

They kept shouting and started banging on tables. They demanded that people stand up to show their solidarity. Those who did not stand were targeted and questioned.

There was a girl studying in one of the study rooms in Novack and the protestors stormed the room. She closed the door on one of the protestors which resulted in rage from many protestors. The girl then exited silently through the crowd while protestors screamed at her calling her a white b*tch.

At one point the protestors crowded around a guy sitting on his laptop and stared at him screaming at him ‘If we cant study, you can’t study.’”

According to Mediate, things didn’t stop there.

In a critical editorial, the conservative Dartmouth Review listed some of the epithets hurled by the protesters: “F*ck you, you filthy white f*cks!” “F*ck you and your comfort!” “F*ck you, you racist sh*ts!”

In addition, the Review reports that some of protesters became physically violent: “Men and women alike were pushed and shoved by the group. ‘If we can’t have it, shut it down!’ they cried. Another woman was pinned to a wall by protesters who unleashed their insults, shouting ‘filthy white b*tch!’ in her face.”

The protest was initially supposed to garner awareness and promote equality on campus, but this particular event seemed to be counterproductive and overly aggressive. There are better ways to get your point across than to result in violence and harassment. This movement is important – let’s not make a mockery of it by acting foolish.

Play Training Missions Early & Build Up Credits

Credits are an important part of Star Wars Battlefront, and if you’re going to unlock different weapons and cards, you’re going to need as many credits as you can get. That’s why we suggest waiting a couple of minutes before entering the multiplayer and complete all the training missions.

There are a total of five missions: an X-Wing tutorial, Speeder Bike tutorial, AT-ST tutorial, a Hero tutorial, and finally a Snowspeeder tutorial where you bring down an AT-AT on Endor.

If you get three stars on each mission, you’ll net 250 credits a mission. There are five missions. That’s 1,250 (somewhat) easy credits before you even start playing. [source]

Survival & Battle Missions Earn Lots of Credits

Similarly to the Training Missions, Survival and Battle Missions are great source of earning credits early. On each mission, it’s possible to earn a maximum of five stars. Each of these stars is worth much more than what you earn in Training though.

Keep in mind that you’ll only earn the credits once, so don’t bother replaying missions that you’ve earned five stars on. [source]

Random Multiplayer Tips and Tricks

***If you have a power up you do not want, you can hit interact (Square) in front of a power-up to change it for a new one.***

Energy shields blocks incoming energy blasts, but solid projectiles like grenades, rockets, and the Cycler Rifle slug will pass through.

The Ion Shot makes your blaster more powerful against vehicles, but less powerful against troopers.

The smoke grenade blocks the lock on function of turrets, droids, and other weapons.

Reduced velocity increases weapon power, increased velocity reduces weapon power for the A-wing, X-wing TIE fighter, TIE interceptor, Slave I, and the Millennium Falcon.

You should change your cards depending on what game mode you play: Hero Hunt or Heroes vs. Villains.

The AT-ST has a weak spot on its back. This is the area you should either attack or defend, depending on where you are in the AT-ST.

Charlie Comes Clean About Being HIV Positive

In an exclusive interview with the Today Show‘s Matt Lauer, Charlie Sheen admits, “I’m here to admit that I am in fact HIV positive.” The actor says the reports that he’s threatened the health and safety of others “couldn’t be farther than the truth.”

Charlie says he first found out about his HIV positive status “about four years ago” when he first thought he had a brain tumor. He says that he’s paid people under the table who have threatened to reveal his HIV status, “We’re talking about shakedowns.” In terms of paying people now, he says, “I think I release myself from this prison today.” He admits that he has had unprotected sex since his diagnosis, but that the two people involved were forewarned, and that he has told all his sexual partners about his status.

Continuing the exclusive interview with TODAY’s Matt Lauer in which he officially revealed his HIV-positive status, actor Charlie Sheen says of the possibility of a barrage of lawsuits from sexual partners, “I’m sure that’s next.” He confirms that he’s paid out upwards of $10 million to suppress stories of his HIV status and admits his financial condition is “not great,” but adds, “I’m a survivor.” He says that when he revealed his HIV status to daughter Cassandra Estevez, “it hit her hard,” but “she was a rock star about it,” and he confirmed that ex-wives Denise Richards and Brooke Mueller were told about his status right away.

Accompanied by Dr. Robert Huizenga, Charlie Sheen continues his exclusive interview with TODAY’s Matt Lauer. “Charlie has contracted the HIV virus,” Huizenga confirms, but adds that he is more concerned about the actor’s depression and substance abuse history. “Charlie does not have AIDS,” the doctor says. He also says that the odds of Sheen having spread the virus are low. Sheen says he takes four pills a day, and while he maintains is not taking mood-altering drugs, he does admit he’s still drinking.

Campuses throughout the country are encased by building racial tensions, and things don’t seem to be getting any better.

Between Claremont McKenna’s controversial Halloween costumes, Dartmouth’s aggressive Black Lives Matter protests, and the constant racially-charged sit-ins at University of Missouri, students across the nation are speaking out – and loudly. Now students at the University of Kansas are starting to weigh in on the issues, and three top Student Senate leaders have since been asked to resign.

KU’s Student Executive Committee is demanding that Student Body President Jessie Pringle, Vice President Zach George and Chief of Staff Adam Moon step down by Wednesday, November 18. The ultimatum comes just days after a KU town hall meeting that was interrupted by Mizzou supporters. Student group Rock Chalk Invisible Hawk presented listeners with a list of diversity demands including “hiring a director for the Office of Multicultural Affairs by Dec. 15, mandatory “inclusion and belonging” training for students and faculty and increased diversity in hiring.”

Senate vice president Shegufta Huma, who is also member of the committee, told the newspaper that the vote was the result of months of inaction that culminated in the officers’ reluctance to support the diversity demands. Pringle and George were singled out, with the committee saying they did not “stand in solidarity with their black peers and proclaim that Black Lives Matter” at Wednesday’s forum.

“This is part of a larger pattern and some much bigger issues that (the) Senate has been dealing with in terms of our relationship with marginalized communities at KU,” Huma said.

The three students have since released a statement saying that they plan to continue supporting minority groups and getting the word out. “Black lives matter. Black lives matter at the University of Kansas,” they wrote.

Meanwhile, John Cowan, a white 2014 University of Kansas graduate, began a hunger strike on campus this past Friday. If the activists’ demands weren’t met, Cowan vowed to “die or go to the hospital.” The sentiment mirrored the words of a University of Missouri graduate student who ended his hunger strike last week after President Tim Wolfe resigned.

“I’m kind of at an advantage because of my white privilege, so my suffering is self-inflicted,” said Cowan. “Others don’t have that choice, it’s inflicted upon them.”

But after just a few short days, Cowan ended his strike, because, food. Uh… we mean, because he didn’t want to garner attention for the wrong reasons.
