Texas A&M student Christopher Louis Bolanos-Garza was arrested last night for posting what police (and anyone who’s sane) would call a “terroristic threat” to the Aggie community, NewsWeek reports.

“THIS IS NOT A JOKE! DON’T GO TO CAMPUS BETWEEN 7 AND 730 THIS WILL BE MY ONLY WARNING.”

The post, which was Yakked yesterday afternoon around 3:40 PM EST was reported to the authorities. Texas A&M’s PD obtained an emergency subpoena seeking information about the Yik Yak account that created the post.

Christopher Louis Bolanos-Garza is currently being held without bail. Here’s a photo of the idiot:

So yeah, don’t think that just because you’re hiding behind the logo of a beach ball or a sailboat you can hide from the police when you actually threaten the lives of students.

Ironically enough, this is the most attention that Texas A&M’s Yik Yak has gotten in a long time.

This just in: Guys are easy.

By now, the whole world has heard the phrase “Netflix and chill.” It’s sexually charged jargon that the kids are using these days.

One woman on Tinder decided to try that line to hook up with guys. Oddly enough, that worked out pretty well for her.

Okay, she’s fairly easy on the eyes as well. That probably didn’t hurt.

Eliza Dillard, who writes for Styleite and has a history of telling dudes on Tinder that she’s on her period, decided to try the “Netflix and Chill?” line on some single bros just to see what would happen.

“When I heard about the whole concept of Netflix and chill, I, like most reasonable people, assumed it meant what it implies,” she said. “Like your mom probably was, I was disturbed that someone had taken my ideal Friday night and turned it into something [not safe for work].”

Dillard wanted to determine if the buzz-phrase was just a passing fad or an actual mating call. To that end, she propositioned 18 guys with “Netflix and chill?” and didn’t bother with customary prerequisites, like saying “hello” or engaging in general conversation.

It worked.

“When?” was the most popular response she received to the question.

“Sure. What are you doing this weekend?” said another guy.

Another one just gave her his phone number.

However, there was at least one exception to the rule; one guy assumed she was joking and said that he didn’t know people actually said that.

He was probably the keeper.

The California Golden Bears have had a week to get over a big loss at the hands of Utah. On Thursday night, California will look to respond as they hit the road and go to the Rose Bowl to face the UCLA Bruins. The Golden Bears are 5-1 on the season and 2-1 in the Pac-12 Conference while UCLA is 4-2 and 1-2 in the Pac-12.

Jared Goff leads the California offense with 1,970 passing yards, 17 touchdowns and nine interceptions and has found plenty of success in throwing to Kenny Lawler. Lawler has 34 catches for 465 yards and eight touchdowns this season. It will be 12 days in between games for California, who lost 30-24 at Utah on October 10.

For UCLA, they have lost their last two games and will be playing on a weeknight for the second straight week and are coming off a 56-35 loss at Stanford last week. Josh Rosen is young but has thrown for 1,569 yards this season with 12 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Jordan Payton has 31 catches for 486 yards and four touchdowns while Paul Perkins has been a beast in the ground game with 681 rushing yards and eight touchdowns.

Columbia University professors are getting weird in the name of science… or whatever.

Sociology Professor Shamus Khan and various postgraduates are wandering into 1020 and other local Columbia bars to stalk their students in their natural habitat. The reason? They’re conducting a study on how social interactions affect sexual experiences.

AKA whether or not that guy from Lit 101 can walk into a bar, approach an attractive stranger, and seal the deal with a legitimate invite to that stranger’s decrepit dorm room.

Not weird at all!

According to Gothamist, we’re not the only ones who think the whole thing is f*cking bizarre and borderline restraining order-worthy:

Some Columbia students say they’re a little creeped out by a sexual health study being conducted by university researchers who observe students boozing in their natural habitat (bars and parties). “I don’t want a professor watching me at a bar,” one 19-year-old Columbia sophomore told the Post. “It just feels stalky. A bar’s a place where I unwind and drink a little and maybe act a little irresponsibly. Having a professor watching me drink and socialize would be the opposite of relaxing.”

Uh, yeah it is! Especially since that exact professor is going to watch you go home with some rando and then see you the next morning in the same outfit. Not to mention the majority of people there are underage students! Way to make it awkward…

On the bright side, the rest of the faculty won’t have an idea of what’s going on with their students’ one night stands or illegal activities. Names are not being recorded and certain details are changed so students cannot be identified by outside observers.

That’s all well and good, but we can’t get over the worst part about this whole scenario – researchers aren’t allowed to drink while at the bar, so blending in is pretty much impossible.

So not only do you have to ignore the dude gawking at you in the dark corner, but you also have to be aware of their judgmental stares when you’re completely obliterated.

Jeremy Boyle, an Ole Miss Sigma Pi fraternity brother, was assaulted and beaten to “within an inch of his life” by five Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity brothers on Tuesday night. According to reports from Jeremy’s grandfather, the victim suffered a concussion, broken ear drum, broken teeth, a bruised lung, bruised ribs and a bruised groin.

Sounds like these a**holes got way too carried away with a little fraternity on fraternity fighting.

The police arrested Austin Rice, Christian Guy, James Declan Basile, Kyle Hughes, and Tucker Cole Steil in connection with the assault. Here’s how Jeremy recounts the assault:

According to Boyle, Jeremy heard a noise outside the Sigma Pi fraternity house Tuesday, October 6.

When he went to check out the noise, there was an altercation and he was jumped by five Pi Kappa Alpha members. [source]

I think what bugs me the most about this, besides the fact that a merciless and absolutely brutal beat down (probably involving multiple blows to the head while Jeremy was down–the biggest loser move in the history of fighting) occurred, are f*cking smiles on smug bastards who were arrested. WTF are you smiling about?

We should note that the actions of these five Pi Kappa Alpha members are not representative of the fraternity as a whole, but it’s definitely an awful look for the rest of the brothers and probably will result in some sort of punishment by the school.

At the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity house, Chapter President Gunther Kenudston would only say that those were actions of individuals, and the actions were not connected to fraternity business.

Obsessions with celebrities are creepy. We love Kim Kardashian and Charlotte McKinney just as much as the next person, but would we want to see every girl we come in counter with look exactly like that? No. And trying to do so – especially when it involves a shit load of money – is straight up stupid.

But you know what’s worse? When you’re so obsessed with a plastic doll that you spend more than $300,000 to look like them.

French couple Quentin Dehar (23) and Anastasia Reskoss (20) have spent over $300k on plastic surgery to look like their favorite toy: Barbie and Ken.

WTF Quentin and Anastasia?! RED FLAG!

The two met in 2013 at a boat party and instantly bonded over their love for the dolls. Between the two of them, they’ve had over 15 procedures, and have vowed to keep going until they achieve that perfect, doll-like aesthetic. WTF?!

The two apparently grew up enamored with their doll collection and believe they were destined to meet.

“When I’d laid eyes on Quentin for the first time, I knew that I’d found the love of my life,” Anastasia said. “Quentin walked over to me and said: ‘I’ve found the Barbie to my Ken.’ It was so straightforward. We both knew we had met a partner who was going to enable us to become the Ken and Barbie we had always dreamed of being.”

Ok…

Anastasia got her first surgery at 17 – a nose job paid for by her parents. Nice work! A year later, she got a boob job to go from a 32C to a 32E. That same year Quentin got his first surgery – also a nose job – which then progressed to botox injections in his face.

Since then Anastasia has gotten bigger breast implants, a second nose job, and butt implants, while Quentin got another nose job, his “eye bags” removed, a pinnaplasty (ear pinning), and veneers to match Ken’s teeth, all of which were paid for by their insanely dumb parents.

Um… can they also foot the bill for their much-needed psychiatric stay?

October is the most awesome month of the year, if for no other reasons than the World Series and Halloween.  And with the Mets clinching their first World Series berth in 15 years, October 2015 in New York promises to be even ‘awesomer’.   As we await to see who the Amazins will face from the AL (Royals or Blue Jays) in this year’s Fall Classic, we thought we’d take a look at the one item that embodies all the best things about our favorite month: World Series Halloween pumpkin fan art.

Although we all have that one friend who claims that they never need food at 2am after a long night of drinking, the rest of us know the opposite to be true. If it weren’t for those greasy burgers, 24/7 diners, and pizza deliveries, we wouldn’t know what to do with ourselves after leaving the bars.

Thankfully, DC has some amazing spots to fill the void that the combination of beer and liquor creates.

Surfside

Although Surfside is a glorified hole-in-the-wall, there is nothing better than grabbing some tacos, chips, and guacamole when the craving to eat hits, all of which are delicious. Being located right by DuPont Circle, this place is on the way home from several bars frequented by GW students, and being open to 2am on the weekends, it’s the perfect pit stop.

Ben’s Chili Bowl

(1213 U St NW, Washington, DC 20009)

This iconic DC restaurant, where President Obama ate before being inaugurated in 2009, is known for their chili-cheese half smoke hotdogs. Also serving chili-cheese fries, and being open until 4am on Fridays and Saturdays, this is the perfect place to end a night on U Street. The fact that the line curves around the restaurant every night tells you just how good the food here is, and speaking from personal experience, it’s unbelievable.

Jumbo Slice

(2341 18th St NW, Washington, DC 20009)

Pizza. When it comes to late night food, it doesn’t get much better than that. But just imagine having a slice of your favorite ‘za as big as your head. This is what you get when you visit Jumbo slice. Serving pizza slices that have to be held across two paper plates instead of one, this is a must if you’re craving pizza after a night in Adams Morgan, or anywhere else in DC; it’s worth the trip.

The Diner

(2453 18th St NW, Washington, DC 20009)

If Pizza isn’t your thing (and I don’t know why it wouldn’t be), then The Diner in Adams Morgan is for you. Being open 24 hours a day, this place serves all sorts of food to satisfy any craving. From pancakes to buffalo wings, there is something for everyone. The Diner also serves mimosas and Bloody Mary’s, so if you don’t want your night to end just yet, you can carry it on here.

Pizza Movers & Calzones

(1618 Wisconsin Ave NW, Washington, DC 20007)

Eating out at 2am in the morning might not be for everyone, as the comforts of your couch or bed are too enticing to make you stay out. Luckily for these people, Pizza Movers & Calzones this there to help. Delivering pizzas until the early hours, this Pizza joint is a favorite of many GW students.

Connor Gilboy, the University of Florida punter, just released the most awful video we’ve seen all month. That is not an understatement by any means, and please keep in mind this is the same month where the now infamous Drunk UConn Mac and Cheese incident occurred.

The video in question was published in a shameless attempt to win the Zeta Tau Alpha “King of Queens” pageant Connor is hoping to win on behalf of PIKE.

But he’s not winning anything. He’s losing everything.

The only upside I can find is that “Hotline Bling” has been incessantly stuck in my head, so maybe Connor’s actually found a way to finally remove it from my memory by shocking me and causing my brain to literally shut down in self-defense.

Normally I’d credit TFM for showing us this atrocity, but instead I’m going to give them a nod of disapproval because that’s all I can muster up.

It’s not hard to see why the Penn State cheerleaders are one of our favorite cheerleading squads in all of college sports.  In addition to having some of the hottest college cheerleaders around, the Nittany Lions cheerleaders are incredibly athletic and talented.  The squad is comprised of three teams, the co-ed cheer squad, the small co-ed squad and the dance team.

They can be seen regularly cheering on Penn State’s football, volleyball, gymnastics and men’s and women’s basketball teams, in addition to many other events.  The PSU cheerleaders are not incredibly active on social media, although they do have Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts.  You should be following the Penn State Nittany Lions heerleaders on social.

Swedish newspapers have named Anton Lundin Pettersson as the 21-year-old man responsible for attacking a Swedish school in Trollhattan, killing one student and one teacher. The assailant was shot by police twice and later died in the hospital.

Police said that they had identified the suspect earlier in the day, but had withheld his name until recently. Only the Swedish newspapers are naming Anton Lundin-Pettersson, police have not.

Following the attack, police searched his house and found “interesting” things. It’s being reported that he was not in favor of rising immigration in the area and that he was very “far right.” Anton was not previously known to police before today.

Eyewitnesses at the school say that the suspect was wearing a Star Wars mask was carrying a sword, and playing Halloween-type music, so they thought it must be a Halloween costume. Allegedly he even posed with students for a photo.

That was when a teacher came over and told the stranger that he had to leave because he was scaring the children. Eyewitnesses then say that’s when he stabbed the teacher with a knife, and they knew it wasn’t a prank.

Here’s the story one student told TheLocal.

I was in a classroom with my class when one of my classmates’ sisters called her to warn her that there was a murderer at the school. So we locked the door to the classroom, but our teacher was still outside in the corridor.

We wanted to warn him, so a few of us went outside and then I saw the murderer, he was wearing a mask and had a sword. Our teacher got stabbed.

The murderer started chasing me, I ran into another classroom. If I had not run, I would have been murdered. I’m feeling really scared. Everyone’s scared here.

Police arrived on the scene in the Trollhattan school to find that one teacher had already been killed, and that two other students and one teacher had been seriously wounded. One of those students died in the hospital. The police then confronted NAME and shot him twice in the lower chest.

Unlike the United States, Sweden does not have history of violence in their schools.
