Week Two of the NFL season comes to a close Monday night as Darrelle Revis and the New York Jets face off against Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts in Indiana for the Colts home opener.

With the football season kicking into full gear, and the New York Giants assuming the role of ” local village idiot” in the first two weeks, there is a substantial amount of hype surrounding the New York Jets. The average football fan might not know this, but Geno Smith eating some sweet chin music was actually the best thing to happen to my New York Football Jets in a long, long time. Fitzpatrick is a decent quarterback, and with the defense gang green is rolling out, the Jets might have a shot at making some noise this year.

Coming off a season in which they reached the AFC Championship game, experts and analysts across the nations were picking the Colts to reach the Superbowl this year. However, to the surprise of many, the Colts begin the season facing a couple of questions. What was supposed to be a revamped offense with the addition of wily veterans like Frank Gore and Andre Johnson looked like an old, broken down 1992 Dodge Neon in week one. That, combined with a perpetually questionable defense, and the Colts are not looking like the Super Bowl team that many experts predicated they would be heading into the season.

With all that said, you cannot judge a team after only one week of play. I believe that the Colts will be fired up to be playing in front of their home fans for the first time since January, and although my Jets will make the game competitive, one painfully obvious fact remains: the Colts have Andrew Luck and the Jets do no. Therefore, I’m taking the Colts tonight, 28-24 in a Monday Night Thriller.

Last Friday night I enjoyed my last night at my beach house before heading back to school.

My guilty pleasure is eating rainbow sprinkles straight up :)

A guy can get my attention by being humorous and not being afraid of being himself around me.

The best thing about my school is the integration of Main Street on campus. Between classes there’s a great smoothie spot to go to.

If I could travel anywhere in the world, I would go to Italy. I’ve taken four years of Italian and all of my family is from there so I’d love to check out the culture and of course the gelato!!

Chvrches second studio album Every Open Eye drops this Friday, September 25th. However, luckily for us, a stream is already available online.

In 2013, Chvrches released The Bones of What You Believe, which eventually became one of the biggest albums of the year.

Now, Chvrches are looking to avoid the dreaded sophomore slump with their second album, Every Open Eye. From what I’ve listened to so far, Every Open Eye promises to continue the Chvrches trademark of mixing synth with vocals.

The band started recording their second album in January 2015, and on June 5, 2015 announced they had completed work on it. On 16 July 2015, the band revealed the release date, cover art and track listing for the new album, entitled Every Open Eye. The following day they released the album’s first single, “Leave a Trace”.

A sophomore at Western Kentucky University put presidential hopeful Donald Trump on the spot at his rally in Iowa this weekend, only to get completely blown off. Surprise, surprise.

Lily Nellans, 19, questioned Trump’s ideas on Muslim Americans after he let an attendee at Thursday’s New Hampshire rally claim that President Barack Obama was a Muslim and that Muslim Americans were a “problem.” Rather than correcting the man, Trump moseyed around the comments and later claimed that he was not morally obligated to correct him… whatever that means.

Unlike Trump, Nellans felt obligated to state her opinion on the matter. When given the microphone by a Trump supporter, she stated, “So I consider Muslim Americans to be an important asset to our country and society. Would you consider putting one on your cabinet or even on your ticket?”

After a few back and forths with Nellans (Trump apparently didn’t hear the question correctly the first time around… is the toupee to blame?), he stated, “Oh, absolutely, no problem… OK?”

HA! Good one; solid answer!

Disappointed, Nellans just said ok and sat down.

 “I wish he would have done more,” Nellans told The Huffington Post. “I wish he would have stood up for the contributions Muslim Americans make and took a stand against the racism that other of his supporters have put forward at events such as this… I think he just didn’t want to make it an issue, didn’t want any sound bites from answering too much…  I think our president should stand up against things like Islamophobia, not support it,” she said. “I wouldn’t have had a problem with him talking about how we are going to combat fundamentalism or ISIS, but the first things out of his mouth should have been, ‘Our president is a citizen, and he is a Christian and even if he were a Muslim, that would be OK.”

While Trump continues to lead in the polls, there’s still time for the American people to get their sh*t together.

A Washington State University student and Delta Upsilon fraternity brother is in critical condition after he fell from the third floor fire escape of the SigEp house, KXLY writes.

Update: An earlier version of this story reported that Tom was a SigEp brother. In fact he’s a Delta Upsilon brother who was at the SigEp house. You can donate to his GoFundMe page here.

Police report that they suspect the 20-year-old student fell from the fire escape while vomiting over the edge.

He has been flown to Sacred Heart hospital in Spokane, Washington.

Our thoughts are with the unnamed student and his family.

So how did the Beta Theta Pi brothers pull off this awesome house? Oh, just by setting new records for fundraising. No big deal. Raising $11 million makes the Beta brothers not only the most hard working salesmen in the nation, it also gives them the record for the biggest capital fundraising in US fraternity history.

The original chapter house, designed by architect Harold Gimeno in the Italian Renaissance Revival style and completed in 1928, consisted of approximately 16,000 square feet.

The newly renovated chapter house, designed by architect Michael Hall of G2H Architects, consists of approximately 36,000 square feet (more than double the size of the original house). Consistent with its inclusion in the National Registry of Historic Places, the renovated chapter house preserves the iconic limestone façade of the 1928 chapter house.

The new accommodations are truly unique as compared to those offered by other fraternities at OU and across the nation. These include beds for 90, a dining hall for 120, a study hall with tiered, fixed seating for 75 that rivals any classroom on campus, 5 private, soundproof study rooms, a recreational room with 5 flat screen TVs, a commercial-grade kitchen and food service facility, wireless internet, a basketball court, a covered patio, and an outdoor grill area.

But, for better or for worse, there is one thing Rutgers does well: drink. While other schools might have the upper hand in terms of size or extravagance, I know for a fact that in term of pure drinking capability, Rutgers can hang with anyone. We have to deal with the misfortunes of our football team somehow, right?

With all that said, these are the eight best bars at Rutgers University:

8. Kelly’s Korner

A list of the best bars on campus wouldn’t be complete without the addition of a beloved local dive bar. Kelly’s Korner is that local dive bar. With only one bar and a couple of seats,  Kelly’s is literally a corner. One of, if not the smallest bars on campus, no one will ever confuse Kelly’s for the most raging bar on campus. However, because they open at 7AM, serve $1 burgers all day, and have $4 Irish Car bombs, Kelly’s deserves to be on this list.

7. World of Beer

Last time I checked, the main purpose of a bar is to provide alcohol,  and that’s exactly what World of Beer does. Situated right in the middle of the theatre district in downtown New Brunswick, World of Beer is home to over 500 (!!!) different types of beer. Pair any one of those with any of the dank food they serve, and your night is looking pretty damn solid.

6. Olive Branch

The Olive Branch’s claim to fame is having the best happy hour on campus. And it’s true, because not a single place at Rutgers can compete with there 50 cent slices and $1.50 Coors Lights. Not only are the prices incredible, but so are the hours: happy “hour” lasts from 3pm-8pm, every single day of the week.

5. Stuff Yer Face

This one is a little complicated, because pound for pound, Stuff Yer Face is by most accounts the best bar at Rutgers. With two bars, one inside and one outside, banging pub food, even better strombolis, a fishbowl that will knock you and two other friends on your a**, and decent prices, Stuff Yer Face should be the consensus number one choice. However, the biggest appeal of Stuff is the outdoor bar, and because Rutgers is located in New Jersey (obviously), the outdoor bar is only open a couple months of the school year. Without the outdoor bar, Stuff is seen more as a happy hour or dinner spot, as opposed to somewhere you and your squad would go to on a Friday night. And for that reason, I have to put Stuff Yer Face as the number 5 best bar at Rutgers.

4. Scarlet Pub

There are people reading this list that will claim Scarlet Pub is Rutger’s best bar. However, just like most things in life, it is all a matter of perspective, which is why I have “Pub” as the number four bar on this list. The drink prices are standard, but whats sets Pub apart is it’s nightclub like atmosphere. For those who prefer to remain anonymous, Pub is the place for you.

3. Brother Jimmy’s

Whether it be a World Cup game, the Superbowl, a UFC fight, or any televised event that requires bar viewing, Brother Jimmy’s is the place on campus to be. As the only chain restaurant on this list, they have the most televisions (by far), and the best food (also by far) Brother Jimmy’s should be your bar of choice for any major event, or if want some good grub during happy hour. Their prices are a little steep for college kids, but if you go during happy hour, well drinks are only $3, and appetizers are $6.

2. Golden Rail

Golden Rail is on this list for one reason and one reason only: karaoke. As the only local bar in town with nights dedicated to karaoke, Golden Rail is the place you go to on those nights you really don’t give a f*ck, and want to sing your heart out to some Bruce Springsteen. Sure, you might have to deal with the occasional misguided sorority chick doing a rendition of ‘Since You’ve Been Gone’, but regardless, Golden Rail karaoke on Sunday and Wednesday night is an absolute blast

1. Olde Queens Tavern

Someone once told me, “home is where your favorite bar is”. Actually, I don’t think anyone has ever said that to me. I think I might have just made that up. Not too bad for a Monday. Anyway, and again, it’s all a matter of perspective, but I think”Queens” is the best bar at Rutgers. The drink specials are the best deals on campus, bar none (see what I did there? I’m really killing it today). $3 Jack Daniels and Captain Morgan drinks on Monday and Wednesdays, $3 Svedka and Barcadi drinks on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and $1 Bud Lights all week, Queens is by far the best bang for your buck. Also one of the only establishments on campus to have two bars, the service at Queens is also the best at Rutgers.

Known as the greek life bar, Queens can certainly rub a couple of people the wrong way. But if you’re looking for attractive people, cheap drinks, and a damn good time, I would tell you to meet me and my boys at Queens, basically every night of the week.

According to German newspapers, it took just 80 minutes from the opening of Oktoberfest 2015 in Munich to the first case of alcohol poisoning. That’s a full 45 minutes faster than last year.

February 13th 2009: Drake releases his Grammy nominated third mixtape, ‘So Far Gone’ which included features from Lil Wayne, Bun B & Omarion. The mixtape had over 2000 downloads in its first 2 hours. Due to the mixtapes two successful singles (‘Best I Ever Had’ & ‘Successful’), it was released as an EP & with only 5 songs from the mixtape & one new track. MTV named it “The Hottest Mixtape of 2009′.

June 29th, 2009: Drake gets his first real taste of entertainer money, signing a $2 million dollar record deal with Young Money Records.

July 4th 2009:  Drake has 2 tracks on The Billboard Hot 100 chart of that summer ,with ‘Best I Ever Had’ & ‘Every Girl’ both entering the top 10.

July 31st 2009: Drake busts his ass on stage at a concert in New Jersey with Lil Wayne. He underwent surgery 2 months later for a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his knee. It’s hilarious.

September 15th 2009: ‘So Far Gone’ was re-released as a 7 track EP & debuted at number 6 on the Billboard 200. Since then the album was certified gold by the RIAA with over 500,000 copies sold in the U.S.

2010

In 2010, Forbes had voted him as the highest earning newcomer for the year and he was said to have raked in $10 million.

June 15th 2010: Drake’s debut album ‘Thank Me Later’ was released & sold 447,000 copies in it’s first week & debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200. At the time of its release, Drake was the first rapper to sell the most records for any Hip-Hop artist in one week.

August 2nd 2010: Drake begins to establish himself as an international superstar, holding the first annual OVO Fest in Toronto, which featured artists such as Rick Ross, Young Jeezy, Eminem, and Jay-Z.

2011

November 15th 2011:  Drake’s second, and in my opinion, best, studio album ‘Take Care’ is released. The album sold 631,000 copies in it’s first week & sold over 2 million copies since it’s release.

2012

February 2012: Drake begins his ‘Club Paradise’ tour. This tour was the most successful hip-hop tour of 2012, earning an estimated $42 million.

June 14th 2012: Drizzy & Chris Brown are involved in an alteracation where glass bottles where thrown between both parties at a nightclub in New York, with Meek Mill in attendance.

In 2012, the rapper dropped $7.7 million for a property that he was previously renting. The Hidden Hills compound was earlier up for grabs for a whopping $27 million back in January 2009. It apparently went down to $9.95 million in November. Three years after, Drake was the lucky one to purchase the massive palatial pad.

2013

September 24th 2013: ‘Nothing Was The Same’ was released & sold 658,000 copies in it’s first week. As of March 2014, the album has sold over 1.4 million copies.

September 30th 2013: Drake becomes the global ambassador for the ‘Toronto Raptors’ which involves rebranding the team in honor of 2016 NBA All-Star Game which will be held in Toronto.

Drake was estimated to have earned $10.5 million in 2013.

February 12, 2015: Drake released If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, with no prior announcement onto iTunes, making it his fourth retail project with Cash Money. As of August 11, 2015, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late had sold over 1 million copies, making Drake the first artist with a platinum album in 2015. Drake’s current net worth is said to be an estimated $76 million dollars. His earning for the year have yet to be determined, but he is sure to see another increase in pay, similar to that of 2013 and 2014.

Nightlife in College Station is pretty damn awesome, but I might be a little biased. If you’re down for a late night and think that you’re fully capable of escaping Johnny Law on bikes, you’re halfway there to a rager in College Station.

Keep in mind that most of my favorite bars are in Northgate, but there are some that I just couldn’t ignore. Check out the five best bars in College Station below.

#5: Foundations

I would feel bad if I didn’t include Foundations. The “Dirty F” as it’s occasionally called is a freshman paradise. Anyone who has awoken the next morning with the F stamp on his or her hands knows exactly what I’m talking about. Foundation’s is a mosh pit of a dance club-if you want to call it that. It’s the ultimate place to get down to bum nasty’s with some random chick you accidently rubbed up against and went with it. Any 5 looks like a 10 and it’s a free for all. My advice: wait till at least 1:30am to stumble in. Nobody wants to go to Foundies, it just happens.

#4: Rebels Draft House

Rebels is one of my favorite places on Northgate. If you can make it through the strict bouncers without an X on your hands you’ll know why. The wall of beer is what really draws me to Rebels on a Friday night. They are usually jamming to some country music and none of that Florida Georgia line trash either. You are guaranteed to run into a crowd of familiar faces as well.

#3 The Tap

The Tap is a hotspot for sure. While it’s not on Northgate with the rest of the bars, the Tap is the place to be on a Monday or Wednesday Night after a test week. Monday night is open Karaoke for all–and it’s awesome. Wednesday night is piano night. They bring in Russell Boyd- @russellboydtx on twitter: check him out- and he can play the hell out of that piano. People send in requests on napkins and he rocks out.

It’s a great time with great drinks. Get there early though, they fill up quick. Chicks dig live music.

#2: Chimy’s

Disregard the fact that Chimy’s is a chain and understand the greatness of the house marg. Those things are brutal. This is the ultimate place to get a little tuned up on cervezas and margaritas (see video).

#1 Kyoto Japanese Restaurant

This was a tough decision, but it had to be done. Honestly I didn’t even know it was called “Kyoto” till I sat down to write this as it’s usually referred to as “SAKE”. This is the most fun shot bar at Northgate only because of the experience. When you have some older Japanese lady yelling words you don’t even know the meaning of, then banging on the table dropping your shot into the mixture of who knows what, you’ll figure out why everyone loves it here. This place is no bigger than a 20-person classroom but the loud music and strobe lights set you up for success.

HONORABLE MENTIONS

These are the few places that didn’t quite the list but are for sure a top 10.

Logies- $5 chuggers who doesn’t love that
Cedar Lane- Whenever you get a little sleepy ask for a wake-me-up and you’ll be ready to go.
The Backyard- drinking beer and playing corn-hole (or beanbags whatever you want to call it) is always a goodtime.

Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill will appear in the October 2015 issue of GQ together. Other than the fact that it gives us another glimpse at Nicki in a revealing top, we really couldn’t care all that much. Meek lost most of his credibility when he got his a** handed to him by Drake and made like one diss track.

A female UCLA student was found dead Monday after her Westwood house was found burned down. Firefighters were sent to the 10900 block of Roebling Avenue at 7:05 AM Monday morning, which is just one block away from campus. Her death is being investigated as a homicide.

Our thoughts go out to the deceased, her family, and her friends. Just an absolutely terrible way to go.

The student, currently unnamed was a fourth year Senior who was studying psychology and Spanish. She was a Pi Beta Phi sister and one of a few members of the sorority who were renting that apartment.

The fire was on the first floor of a two-floor building.

“Firefighters made an aggressive interior attack and performed a rapid search of the smoke-filled apartment where they located a person sadly beyond medical help and declared that individual dead,” LA Fire Department spokesman Erik Scott said.

Neighbors who saw the other members of the house screaming for help identified the victim as Andy. One UCLA student wrote on reddit that “Andy was beautiful and real in every way. Gonna miss her immensely.”

In a show of solidarity, all UCLA sororities stopped “Bruin Bash,” a competitive prerecruitment rush event. It was originally scheduled to take place at Pauley Pavilion Monday night. Instead of wearing shirts advertising individual organizations, all members of Panhellenic will be wearing “Go Greek” shirts and maroon ribbons, one of Pi Beta Phi’s colors.

Murder or Accident?

The death is being investigated as a homicide, and police did say that there was a man who was seen running from the property. Originally authorities were searching for the deceased’s boyfriend, but he is no longer a suspect in her death.

Last night he brought back a live rendition, in which members of his audience discussed their harshest celebrity tweets, while Jeff Bridges, Kristen Bell, and Benedict Cumberbatch disclosed their worst attacks.
