Syracuse University frat Nu Alphi Phi was suspended on Monday after a pledge got severe frostbite and may lose four fingers because of it.

Tae Kim, 19 and Jeffrey Yam, 21 were arrested just after midnight on Sunday and charged with misdemeanor first-degree hazing.

According to police reports, three pledges were punished for not doing their chores properly by being forced to do aerobic exercises that included 30 minutes of sit-ups, push-ups, and crawling exercises in the snow. A 20-year-old pledge said they wore boots, pants, sweatshirts, but no gloves.

Once finished, pledges were told to go back to the fraternity house at 739 Ackerman Ave.. The victim ran his hands under warm water but they continued to hurt through the next morning. He went to Crouse Hospital and was told that he had severe frostbite and could lose four fingers- his pinkie and ring fingers on both hands.

The victim reported the incident to Syracuse University’s Public Safety, who then passed along the report to the Syracuse Police Department.

Kevin Quinn, Syracuse University’s Senior Vice President for Public Affairs explains, “The university is dedicated to promoting a safe and healthy campus environment that rejects all forms of hazing and fosters respect for the dignity and rights of all our campus community members.”

Both suspects were released on appearance tickets and will appear in court. The two uninjured pledges refused to cooperate with the investigation.

Syracuse isn’t the first college to experience such dire hazing rituals. In November, an 18-year-old student at West Virginia University died after being forced to drink large quantities of alcohol while blindfolded. Two days ago, the Beta Zeta Chapter of Sigma Nu at Purdue University has been suspended until 2017 for hazing incidents such as servitude and calisthenics, providing alcohol to minors, and using drugs at functions.

Certain members Southern Methodist University‘s chapter of Sigma Chi have been suspended after allegations that they’ve been harassing their neighbor have come to light.

Tim O’Connell lives next door to the ΣΧ house and seems to have video evidence of brothers spitting onto his property, launching raw meat over the wall, writing obscenities in the snow, and urinating on his lawn. Unfortunately for the brothers of Sigma Chi, this is now a national news story. While we’ll admit that most people love to rip on fraternities, this is one case where the brothers may deserve it.

He believes that the alleged abuse is because of noise violations he’s called in to police in the past.

Despite his already busy schedule, comedian Stephen Colbert is set to deliver Wake Forest University’s May 18th commencement speech. His words of wisdom are bound to be hysterical.

This isn’t his first time up to bat; Colbert has previously given speeches at the University of Virginia in 2013 and his alma mater of Northwestern University in 2011. Obviously he’s got the practice, what with his overwhelmingly popular Colbert Report and upcoming late night talk show, but can he really address a bunch of hopeful, doe-eyed students? We shall see.

There are people who believe that their school parties hard, then there are Arizona State University students who know the truth. This post is for those in the former group.

Arizona State University may have been left off of Playboy‘s 2014 Top 10 Party Schools list, but anyone who knows anything about ASU knows that was just the publication giving other schools a chance in the limelight. ASU goes about as hard as possible every day of the year. Whether it’s at one of the many ridiculous pool parties they host or at a closed off club, ASU students wake up tired.

Who can really blame them, though? The weather is perfect, the women are beautiful (seriously it’s unfair), and they’re just a hop skip and a jump from Las Vegas and Lake Havasu.

Here are just a few examples of why ASU parties harder than your school.

1. ASU’s mascot, Sparky, is literally The Devil. If that’s not a call to sin, nothing is.

2. Bathing suits often times become casual attire for both guys and hot girls.

4. The city conducts a “Safe and Sober” campaign at the beginning of every school year (that includes 17 different police units from all counties in the surrounding Arizona State University campuses) to ensure that we don’t drink “excessively.”

5. Every day is a reason to party, whether it’s another frat party, a festival, a concert, a rave, Margarita Monday’s, Tacos and Tequila Tuesday’s, wine Wednesday’s, thirsty Thursday, Fireball Friday’s etc. can’t forget Sunday Funday at the pool.

6. Our campus police officers play beer pong with us and don’t mind sinking in the celeb shot to win the game!

A couple was caught having sex in Las Vegas’s Erotic Heritage Museum while a Fifty Shades of Grey exhibit was their main exhibition. The two allegedly hid out after closing on Valentine’s Day to commit the act, where they then proceeded to copulate on every spare surface they could get their sweaty naked bodies on.

While in the heat of the moment, the two completely forgot about the whole surveillance camera thing, so their rendezvous will forever live in the hands of TMZ and delighted viewers like us. Hilarious.

Eventually the couple was caught by staff members and chased out of the museum – the security guards called them after seeing the couple on their video feed.

For future reference: always blackout the surveillance cameras.

The 72-year-old actor also sounded really cool and collected while talking to air traffic control right after his plane suffered engine failure. That meant his plane wasn’t going to be able to make it to a nice comfy landing strip at the nearby Santa Monica airport, so he had to try landing on the nearby Penmar golf course instead. Here’s audio of Harrison letting people know that he’s going to be making an unexpected stop…

Hellz, yeah. Of course, this made the news, and people were fearing the worse because Harrison Ford is old and he already got hurt while coming back as Han Solo on the Star Wars set last year, and a guy that old walking away from a plane crash might still not be walking around for long. Fortunately, Harrison Ford’s kid Ben (who, being raised by Harrison Ford, is a successful restauranteur and no showbiz scum) was soon putting the world at ease with this Twitter….

The first extended look at Fast and Furious 7 came out today, offering a glimpse at the scene where the boys jump out of a plane in their cars.

Rihanna took to Instagram yesterday to tease a few upcoming songs, including the 2015 March Madness anthem “American Oxygen.”

The full song can also be found on her upcoming album, which is allegedly titled R8. Aside from the NCAA tribute, the popular singer also released an additional video of another song called “Higher.” Looks like she got a little preview happy, but we’re hoping she keeps it up.

A high school dean, reverend, and a leader of teen anger management and substance abuse programs, was arrested today for allegedly shooting a teenager in the back of the head over drugs.

Rev. Shaun O. Harrison shot the 17-year-old at point blank range on Tuesday, injuring the teen who was allegedly selling drugs for him. Their initial introduction remains unclear.

Boston.com reports,

Around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, Harrison lured a 17-year-old student onto Magazine Street with promises of girls and drugs, and then shot the student in the back of the head with a handgun, before fleeing on foot, according to authorities.

Police said surveillance footage from a local business captured the incident.

Amazingly, the student, who police have not identified, survived the shooting and was taken to Boston Medical Center for treatment. The student told police that he sold marijuana for Harrison, who ran a drug ring, until the two got into a dispute.

Harrison was arrested soon after and charged with multiple felonies.

My last Friday night started with dinner, turned into drinks at a hotel (my best friend’s home friend’s birthday), then resulted in club hopping in the meatpacking district, and ended with some great late night pizza.

My guilty pleasure is food.

A guy can get my attention by being funny and confident. I love when anyone approaches me because I can talk to a wall, but I’m never one to approach.

The best part about my school is that it brings so many eclectic people together, and somehow we all mesh. Plus my sorority definitely makes it a lot better.

If I could take a trip anywhere in the world, I would go to Australia! It’s one of the only continents (including Antarctica) that I haven’t been to yet. Beaches, kangaroos, and accents. What more could you want?

Drunken stupors cause overwhelmingly full bladders that always make an appearance on your way home (or on your way to the next bar that seems so close, yet so fu**ing far). In St. Pauli, one of Germany’s top nightlife spots, obliterated party-goers are always whipping it out on the street, and people are tired of it. To solve the problem, a community organization created the wildpinkler (AKA the wind urinator) by coating two buildings with a paint that shoots the pee right back at the person.

The building covered are the two most often spots urinated on by drunken passerbys. The same group also decorated the spot with posters that exclaim, “Do not pee here! We pee back!” Clearly they have forgotten that drunk people can’t read, nor do they care. Regardless, the idea is hilarious, and the video even moreso. Check it out below.
