Yesterday University of Texas students protested against the FIJI fraternity after they learned the organization hosted what people are calling a “Border Patrol” party. The protest was called the United Against Racism March and was organized by the Latino Community Affairs organization.

As you can see in the photo above, more than a hundred people showed up to condemn the fraternity and all fraternities they feel disrepect cultures in an attempt to host theme parties. It should be noted that FIJI is far from the first frat to get into a bit of trouble for this sort of thing.

A few years ago we might have viewed things a little differently, but it’s hard to argue against the voices of thousands who want these parties stopped. There’s little doubt that the FIJI brothers didn’t intend to be racist, but we can’t say that hosting a FIJI Fiesta in light of recent events was a smart idea either.

From a selfish standpoint, the last thing you want is for GDI’s to sit on your lawn protesting your organization.

Everything I’ve been lead to believe about The University of Minnesota made me feel like it’s cold up there 24/7, but now that I’ve seen the Kappa Kappa Gamma sisters I know that they consistently bring the heat regardless of the weather.

Is that love in the air over Colorado during Valentine’s Day or just some Beast Mode 2.0? Actually, it’s both because according to the Denver Post a bunch of flower shops are incorporating marijuana buds into their Valentine’s Day floral arrangements.

The whole concept started last summer when two marijuana dispensary owners got hitched, and they requested an original bouquet made of bud. Ever since, the trend has started catching on.

To stay within the legal limits, people who want the arrangements must provide their own marijuana and pick it up from the shop. That means no deliveries–bad news for all those short-term-memory-loss stoners who forgot to get their dates a present.

Things get pretty awkward for these six couples when asked a set of questions regarding their sex life and other “fun” coupley things. Basically you either tell the truth (or lie and say you’re telling the truth), or out yourself by taking a shot. Needless to say, there were a lot of drunkards up in that joint. Watch the video below for a laugh, and feel relieved that you aren’t the one in the hot seat.

The first movie trailer for Crimson Peak, directed by Guillermo del Toro, has finally hit the internet. Watch the video below.

Kind of creepy, no? It’s certainly not scary but we can’t really put our finger on how we feel about it other than it’s certainly unique. Guillermo’s one of the best in the business and we can’t wait to see what he came up with in October 2015.

So much for all of those infamous ass kickings. Vin Diesel totally shredded his reputation when debuting his latest Vinbook: a Valentine’s Day karaoke video, where he belts out Gwen Stefani and Adam Levine’s cheesy love ballad “My Heart is Open.” We’re surprised he didn’t break out and start bawling his eyes out.

Sadly, this is far from his first time; the Fast and Furious star released a similar video last year when he sang Rihanna’s popular track Stay, and by popular we mean amongst teenage girls and lovesick divorcees, not respectable grown man. Something tells me Dom Toretto wouldn’t be proud.

Drake surprised the sh*t out of everyone yesterday–including the NYPD and Kanye West’s security, which became apparent after he was booted from the VIP area of Kanye’s free concert in the Flatiron District.

We caught up with the comedian yesterday at Grand Central Station for the unveiling of Old Spice’s new Fresh Collection and asked him about his time at WMU and what Kalamazoo meant to him.

As you prepare for Valentine’s Day, chances are you’re going to want to spend the weekend boozing, heavily. Hopefully the weekend’s hardest decision will be which craft beer you’ll work into the celebrations. Luckily the Beer Professor has gone ahead and removed all the headaches with my latest beer review! This weekend, Bear Republic Brewing Company’s Red Rocket Ale is What’s on Tap!

Brewing since the mid-90s Bear Republic is one of the most well know, oft-drank, Northern California breweries; their Racer 5 IPA is an extremely popular brew that is available nationally. What I love most about Bear Republic is their consistency and their willingness to take chances with their brews. I’m a huge fan of breweries that combine and cross different styles. Red Rocket Ale is a prime example of a beer that is rooted in a traditional style with its own spin.

“Officially” Red Rocket is a red Scottish ale that is hopped up with hops! Though it pours a nice deep red color the beer gives off a nice west coast hoppy beer aroma that is full of citrus and hops. The taste is an interesting combination of great hoppy characteristics upfront, tart hops and citrus / fruit flavors, and then the malt, an amber ale characteristic, dominates the backend. There is also an undercurrent flavor of sweet caramel but this brew is all about the hops and then malt.

This brew pairs well with big flavor food. I am grilling ribeye steaks and finishing them with a blue cheese crusted topping. The steak and the flavor impact of the cheese should pair well with the brew and it sure beats going out to dinner and overpaying just for some made up holiday!

Let’s be honest, sending your special someone a bouquet of flowers and chocolate is kinda played out. I mean, it’s cute and all but kinda lame. For all those who wanna think outside the box and do something truly romantic – say, serenade your partner with a heartfelt medley, i’ve got the solution for you.

The Sports Illustrated 2015 Swimsuit Edition made this a very big week for fans of bikini models–and it was a particularly stellar week for cover girl Hannah Ferguson, although we sure got excited over ladies like Irina Shayk, Nina Agdal, and Lily Aldridge.

It was also a big deal to see Hailey Clauson making her debut as an SI Swimsuit Issue rookie–right alongside Erin Heatherton, who sure doesn’t get enough attention as a Victoria’s Secret model. Well, she does, but we still think Erin doesn’t top enough lists.

We got excited when Erin was first announced as a Sports Illustrated rookie, and now we’re very happy to follow up with some very sexy stills from her very sexy SI photo shoot. It was an unusually busy week for trailers in the wake of the Super Bowl, with Hitman: Agent 47, Aloha, Crimson Peak, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., and Straight Outta Compton all showing off their wares. But there were still more sneak peeks busting out over the past seven days. We know that Clive Owen’s career has been in trouble. That whole “thinking man’s action hero” thing didn’t work out, since he ended up in the most boring films of the past few years. Well, except for Children of Men. Still, it’s really a shame to see Morgan Freeman in what looks like a role Nicolas Cage rejected in this tale of knights that looks pretty errant–but fun to goof on…

Yeah, this looks a lot more interesting than that dull Super Bowl spot. We’re still not sure what Brad Bird’s upcoming movie is actually about, but we’re ready to buy a ticket if we don’t hear another thing about it…

The Breakfast Club (1985)

Hey, you can buy tickets to see The Breakfast Club on the big screen on either March 26 or March 31 in selected cities. It’s the film’s 30th anniversary. We never really understood the appeal of the film, but it sure seems to touch something in some people through the generations. And it’s better than getting a remake…

While guys spent this week leading up to Valentine’s Day desperately searching for gifts, the hot models of the daily COED Instagram Feed have been laying on the beach and proving themselves worthy of the gifts that we’re still shopping for this morning, damn it. Hot models seem to have an easy life. Just take a look at Joy Corrigan (above), who doesn’t seem to have a care in the world, even if she’s not in this week’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.

There’s too much college basketball happening for this to be a slow season in sports right now–but we still think that Australia has imported this weekend’s most thrilling play, courtesy of the Cricket World Cup. We won’t pretend to know much about how (or if) America is representing in the Cricket World Cup. Check out this video, though, and you’ll suddenly get interested in becoming a fan.

Australia’s big hero today is Steve smith, whose job was to stop England’s Jos Buttler after he slammed the cricket ball–and Smith managed a spectacular catch that’s even more amazing if you’ve ever felt a cricket ball. Those things are hard. We wouldn’t be too crazy about catching one off a bat hit if we were using a regulation MLB glove.

Steve Smith dove in for a barehanded catch that we can only hope was made less painful by the guy not being grounded. Australia won the game, too, so all that drama didn’t go wasted. Take a look, and don’t be surprised if you start watching more cricket…

All alone as the sun sets on this Valentine’s Day? Candice Swanepoel seems to have had a nice Valentine’s Day. You can pretty much say that for all of the hot models who usually post on Instagram–but not all of the ladies took the time to post hot photos of their happy day. We still managed to find 14 models who had a very nice February 14th.

Of course, it’s no surprise that built beauties like Jen Selter, Amanda Cerny, and Tiffany Toth had some Valentine’s Day booty to show off for the camera. We just appreciate them sharing the moment. Fifty Shades of Grey is the box-office success that it was supposed to be over this Valentine’s Day weekend–but it didn’t start out doing Twilight numbers. Fifty Shades opened to $30 million on Friday, but the first entry in the Twilight saga had over $36 million in tickets. We don’t  know if we’re supposed to find that comforting.

We are happy to see that Fifty Shades will be knocking out the sappy 2010 movie Valentine’s Day as the biggest hit over a President’s Day holiday weekend. Also, it looks like the entire kinky sex industry is set to thrive over what’s now a projected (at least) $90 million four-day weekend. Now the industry insiders are waiting to see if Fifty Shades will top the Passion of the Christ for the best February box-office ever.

More good news: 82% of the Fifty Shades audience was female. Some of them might have looked like Dakota Johnson. We’re also excited to see Fifty Shades is doing really well in small towns and in the Southern states that most movie studios still consider to be all prudish.

You may be freezing along with the COED staffers here in the American Northeast, but everybody’s stripping down and celebrating Carnival inRio de Janeiro, Brazil. Sadly, we’re not talking about the hottest Brazilian babes of Rio. We’re not even talking about cute animated birds.
