ESPN National Recruiting Analyst Gerry Hamilton got a little too excited about one of the recruits that he was covering yesterday. He put an update via his Twitter account, and he added a link to a video from one of the nation’s leading adult websites. We can’t imagine how a link to a clip from an adult website ended up saved to Gerry’s computer, or iPhone, or whatever. It’s just one of those bizarre electronic glitches that can never be explained.

Or that’s what we’d be telling our girlfriends. We’re pretty sure that Gerry Hamilton just likes watching adult video clips. And the one that he linked to isn’t anything particularly embarrassing. It’s not the most wholesome thing we’ve ever seen, but it’s not like some of the things that COED could accidentally link to on Twitter. Man, we have to stay careful about that.

Oh, and Hamilton meant to link to this. It’s just ESPN football stuff. The guy didn’t try explaining that other tweet that he deleted. He just put that same tweet back up with the right link. Why dwell on it, right? Also, it turns out that having a verified Twitter account isn’t always so great.

Paulina Gretzky is in the news for all the wrong reasons–meaning that the daughter of hockey great Wayne Gretzky has become a MILF, which might mean Paulina Gretzky’s own retirement from posting some of the sexiest pics in the history of Instagram and Twitter.

Is this the end of an era? It seems like only yesterday that Paulina first made the news for scandalizing her day by filling up her Twitter account with all kinds of very sexy slapshots. Then the aspiring pop star and actress discovered Instagram, and holy God. Nobody cared if Paulina was just a rich daughter of a hockey great. She was doing her own important work.

Paulina gave us a fine 2014, too, with more hot Instagram photos, and a Golf Digest photo shoot (and video!) that caused some controversy. It seems there are some famous female golfers who people thought should be on the cover of Golf Digest. We can think of a few–but we needed as much Paulina as possible in these sad final days of her freedom.

Not that we expect Paulina to be washing diapers for the next few months. Seattle Seahawks fans are known to be very loud, making CenturyLink Field one of the best homefield advantages. In all seriousness, they have started small earthquakes in the past. Sunday’s NFC Championship Game gave the fans another chance to tip the Richter scale. After earthquake experts analyzed the data from the game, it was determined that the biggest event was when the Seahawks took the lead on a touchdown and 2-point conversion late in regulation. The “dance quake” was the biggest seismic signal from a Seahawks game and was even bigger than the 2011 event that followed a Marshawn Lynch touchdown run in the playoffs. It is clear that the fans love making noise and moving around violently when the Seahawks do something right. One of these days though, the fans may go too far and cause an actual big earthquake with all the earth shaking they do.

It is something fun for fans and earthquake experts in the Pacific Northwest to look at until something much bigger comes along. It is unfortunate that the Super Bowl can’t be played in Seattle or the seismic signals that would go off if the Seahawks won may be off the scales. The “12^th” man now has something to strive for next season to make an even bigger event happen.

The last few years have seen U.S. Soccer star goalie Hope Solo have some issues with the police and with her husband, former Seattle Seahawks tight end Jerramy Stevens. On Wednesday though, a new incident caused Solo to be suspended from the U.S. women’s national team for 30 days as U.S. Soccer cited an incident during training camp but wouldn’t get into any further details. The biggest problem probably came from the fact that the team found out about the incident from TMZ and not from Solo herself. There was also a Monday morning arrest of Stevens from suspicion of DUI where Solo was a passenger in his car. There are a lot of things that Solo needs to get straightened out before she can come back to the team.

The incident with Stevens is troubling but it would appear from Solo’s comments on Twitter that she is going to take the time off to help herself. “I think it’s best for me to take a break, decompress from the stress of the last several months and come back mentally and physically ready to positively contribute to the team.” The World Cup begins in June and the U.S. needs Solo to be in goal. Hopefully the 30 days off ends up being a positive.

Will Ferrell hit a New Orleans Pelicans cheerleader in the face with a basketball during halftime for a movie that he’s filming, probably a flick called Daddy’s Home.

Looks like he hasn’t improved much on the hardwood since Semi-Pro.

We don’t know if that was a real Pelicans cheerleader or just a stunt double, but frankly it doesn’t matter because you can’t fake that kind of frozen rope that Will unleashed on her grill. More than a few people got footage of the event on their phones, but this YouTube clip is the best because you see him get pulled out by security.

 

From IMDB, we can learn that the premise of Daddy’s Home is that “When a divorced guy’s (Will Ferrell?) ex-wife re-marries someone way more uptight (Mark Wahlberg?) , he re-enters her life and wreaks havoc.”

Canada’s University of Moncton has select staff members up in arms over their newest promotional video, which centers on an array of model-esque students and a couple eager to copulate in the library. Featuring a bunch of sexy coeds sucking face amongst book shelves, attending picturesque bonfires, and cheering on hockey teams is an easy way to lure undergrads into the arms of higher education, but apparently not everyone can get behind the tactic. Marie-Noëlle Ryan, president of the university’s professors’ and librarians’ association, denounced the ad as being “pathetic,” and explained that the undeniably alluring video wasn’t a “way [to] recruit serious students and people who really want to learn and have good diplomas.” Someone sounds a little uptight.

Considering the entire video is in French, we have no idea what they’re actually saying, but going off of the visuals, who cares? Attending a university where you’re bound to run into the next Victoria’s Secret supermodel definitely doesn’t sound like the worst thing in the world. Frankly we’re sold on the French language institution, and we’d be surprised if you weren’t too.

ESPN will be among the first station to use drones for news reporting, something they’re first testing out in the 2015 X Games in Aspen, CO during the four-day event. [lead image via ESPN]

While the station gave no promises that footage from the drone will actually be used in their broadcast (live or not), this is a big step towards for the world of aerial photography. We all know the potential that drones can have when it comes to action sports, so we’re hoping that the flying camera will give us some great video of both tricks and wipeouts.

It shouldn’t surprise you that the drone they’re using seems to be professionally-made, not something from out of the box. They’re under strict regulations from the FAA and likely had a custom-built drone made to handle the heavy camera and avoid interference from fans.

A company named Vortex Aerial is handling all things drone-related, from piloting the aerial craft to actually providing it.

According to ESPN, the drone itself weighs 25 pounds and is 40 inches in diameter. It will be solely used on Snowboarder X and Snowmobile Hillcross courses this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (weather permitting).

During one of yesterday’s 2015 Australian Open matches, a ball kid was made into a youtube star when player Feliciano López inadvertently served a ball to the guy’s groin. Considering it was flying at 121 mph, it was only natural for him to take a second and nurse his unimaginable pain. While hilarious, we commend the kid for lack of tears and uncontrollable squirming. The Grand Theft Auto videogame series has earned itself a reputation of being violent, controversial, totally badass, and I-haven’t-moved-for-three-days-straight entertaining. Marshawn Lynch has been giving the NFL a lot of money over the last few years for several different issues from obscene gestures to not talking with the media to possibly adding more on if he wore gold cleats during the NFC Championship Game. After Lynch was fined $20,000 again for making yet another gesture, Lynch tweeted something very interesting.

The problem is that the fine for Seattle Seahawks teammate Chris Matthews involved him grabbing his crotch as well after a touchdown and not shaking Lynch’s hand. There are plenty of problems with Lynch and the one he does things. It is the NFL’s policy for players to talk with the media. Obviously, Lynch is uncomfortable with that idea but he is a star player and the media is going to want to talk to him.

With Super Bowl XLIX Media Day coming next week, Lynch is likely going to try to find a way not to talk to the reporters in Arizona. The obscene gestures are simply over the line though. Lynch should know better than to do that even if he is trying to prove that NFL stands for No Fun League and taunting isn’t allowed. If the NFL wants to come down hard on Lynch for that, that would be accepted by everyone. Lynch needs to look at himself in the mirror though before making any more comments.

The last week has been filled with the whole story about the New England Patriots reportedly deflating footballs for the AFC Championship Game. However, the Patriots won’t be able to get their hands on the footballs for Super Bowl XLIX until the game begins. It is custom for the NFL to have a modified set of procedures and this year, it will be Chicago Bears equipment manager Tony Medlin who will be in charge of getting the footballs ready for the game.

This is a process that the NFL should be examining for all their games and not just the Super Bowl to ensure something like this doesn’t happen. There have been plenty of stories this week about quarterbacks having different preferences on how the ball feels in their hand. However, there should be a uniform standard for the footballs before a game.

It would appear that the process of under-inflating or over-inflating the football happens a lot but the Patriots got caught. It’s like the pack of cars speeding on the interstate and it is just one car that gets pulled over. The Patriots are that one car here and it is going to lead to major changes probably in how the footballs are handled before games from now on.

Bud Light‘s been teasing their awesome new Super Bowl 2015 #UpForWhatever commercial for a few weeks, so we were stoked to finally see the life-size Pac Man game in full on last night’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

At this point I think it’s fair to say that Bud Light has a real hit on its hands with these #UpForWhatever commercials. These are shoe-ins for the best Bud Light and Budweiser Super Bowl ads. Last year it was that epic night on the town with Arnold Schwarzenegger & Co., and now it’s a real version of an incredible arcade game. If only the actual game could be as exciting as these Super Bowl commercials.

Texas Tech students rarely see snow on campus, so who can blame them if they want to act a little foolish and build a seven-foot tall snow dong? Apparently the school administration, that’s who. They didn’t take too long on getting a bulldozer to knock down the snow sculpture students had erected.

S/O to the guy who followed Stan Van Gundy’s advice and asked people to protect the snow dong by forming a “F*cking wall.”

“What if NBA logos were reimagined by video game characters” might be a conversation you might have after just the right amount of bong rips, but it’s also a question that graphic designer Mark Kenny (@AK47_Studios) looked to answer with his new series titled “NationalBasketballArcade.”

Of all 27 photos, only one of them was somewhat weak (sorry Pelicans). Our personal favorites are the Memphis Zangiefs and the OKC Raidens. Check them out below.
