Melanie Iglesias Sexy Santa Christmas GIFs

We didn’t see nearly enough of Melanie Iglesias didn’t work nearly enough in 2014. She showed up one episode of Tosh.0, and we couldn’t miss her as a guest DJ on an episode of Ellen DeGeneres’ daytime show, but Hollywood didn’t really do enough to keep Melanie Iglesias in our lives. That’s why we’re refusing to wrap up the year without looking back at Melanie as a very sexy Santa.

And mere pics aren’t enough with a gal like Melanie, who’s mostly kept us entranced this year via her Twitter feed and Instagram account. We also check in on her Youtube Channel all the time, but she hasn’t updated that for a long time. It’s mostly nostalgia for how Melanie first built a following with fun videos before moving on to MTV’s Guy Code (and Girl Code).

Fortunately, Melanie is also busy as the host of Off the Bat from the MLB Man Cave. Too bad that baseball season is over. But that’s why we’re looking back at Melanie brightening the holidays. Check out these GIFs and try not to get jolted right into 2015–as we enjoy Melanie being a very good girl…

‘Until Dawn’ Trailer: Hayden Panettiere Holds On To Her Towel in PlayStation Thriller [VIDEO]

Until Dawn Hayden Panettiere Video

Until Dawn is coming out for PlayStation, and the game has brought in a hot leading lady in Hayden Panettiere. Well, she’s actually the leading lady for as long as you can keep her alive. That isn’t for very long in this Until Dawn PlayStation Playthrough. You would think that a blonde would know better than to take a bath when she’s in a video game that features a psycho killer right out of the Saw playbook.

We don’t think that counts as a spoiler. After all, this is barely seven minutes of a playthrough. Nobody’s expecting a happy ending. What you get, however, is a really creepy tale of a gal (mo-capped by Hayden) who gets out of her tub and discovers that she’s the next target of a guy who looks like this…

Until Dawn Killer Video

So check out the action, but don’t expect for Hayden’s towel to slip off during this game. That towel is the most determined fabric in the world. It looks like Hayden could wear that thing in a hurricane without it budging. That’s the problem with this damn CGI. No room for real-world errors. Anyway, the game looks cool, and Hillary looks great…

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees 2015 Could Be Worse: Lou Reed, Green Day & More [VIDEOS]

The Darkness Autograph Signing At The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees for 2015 have been announced, and it’s not embarrassing. The official list: Lou Reed, Green Day, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Bill Withers and the Paul Butterfield Blues Band. There’s also Ringo Starr getting the Award For Musical Excellence, and the 1950s R&B group the “5” Royales will receive the Early Influence Award. [photo: Jason Nelson/Getty]

We know that the real criteria for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a joke. This lineup still isn’t some kind of a sham. Nobody’s going to argue with Lou Reed, who made great albums in the ’60s and ’70s, and four good albums in the ’80s, and–well, then he made more albums. We still wish that Lou’s guitarist Dick Wagner was getting some attention. That guy passed away in July, and his work with Reed is really important. Check out Dick Wagner setting up Lou for one of the greatest intros in the history of rock (not that you can actually see Dick in this 1973 video)…

Aging punks will be upset to learn that Green Day has been around long enough to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. There are lots of artists who deserve to be inducted before Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, but we won’t complain too much about that. We’re just wondering which members of the Blackhearts will get the official honor. We know a few of them, but let’s not pretend the Blackhearts were some kind of legendary backing band.

The late Stevie Ray Vaughan’s induction should make a lot of people happy, and the Paul Butterfield Blues Band always deserve more attention. It’s also good to see Bill Withers getting a proper induction. That guy had an amazing 15-year recording streak of soulful pop classics. In fact, we’re going to spend the next half-hour just watching Bill Withers doing a BBC concert–also from 1973, which was a pretty great year for rock ‘n roll, plus classic soul [UPDATE: Hey, here’s a COED writer agreeing with us via VH1]

‘Pixels’ Posters: When Video Games Attack (and Geeks Save the World) [PHOTOS]

pixels movie posters pac man adam sandler

Pixels is one of our Most Anticipated Movies of 2015, and we don’t say that about every Adam Sandler film. Check out the new posters, though, and you’ll get just as excited as we are. If nothing else, Pixels is a big improvement over the idea of giving us individual movies based on classic video games like Galaga and Pac Man. Instead, we get aliens who mistake footage of vintage Earthling video games as a declaration of war, and respond by attacking Earth with similar weaponry.

That means it’s left to aging gamers to save the day. As seen above, that would be Adam Sandler, Josh Gad, and Peter Dinklage. Also, there’s a hot military woman played by Michelle Monaghan, plus Ashley Benson as a video game warrior woman –because we always need new additions to Adam Sandler’s Hall of Babes.

Anyway, check out these new posters (via the Pixels Facebook page), and see why we’ll be buying our tickets for more than just the leading ladies…

Demi Lovato Gets Futuristic for Allure Magazine in Video [PHOTOS]

demi lovato hot photos allure magazine

Demi Lovato rocks a hot futuristic look for the December issue of Allure–but we’re not sure how Allure feels about it. It seems that the magazine is going back and forth on pulling the Youtube video that they had to promote the shoot. That seems insane. Demi looks more interesting than ever while rocking a partly-shaved head that looks like a tribute to Cressida (that’s Natalie Dormer) in the Hunger Games movies.

Anyway, we won’t let Allure hide away the allure of Demi Lovato. Here’s the video that may or may not work, depending on how things are at Allure. But scroll down for more shots that must be seen….

Yep, here’s the backup. Check out some hot stills from the Allure video, and be sure to check out the magazine on the stands. Also, don’t forget about Cressida in the Hunger Games

Best Video Games Reviews December 16

Heading into the final stretch of the year, downloadable games have taken over the conversation. Ubisoft released its final 2014 boxed straggler, The Crew, but just about all of the other major releases are digital only. The highest-profile is an expansion for one of the year’s bestselling games: The Dark Below for Destiny. There is also a sequel to one of the most beloved downloadable game franchises in Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions, and a top-down, co-op friendly puzzler in Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris. And Game of Thrones finally manages to make a successful transition to video game form as a Telltale Games episodic download series.

Reviews by Phil Villarreal. Phil is an authorblogger and Twitterer. Publishers provided review copies.

The Crew

The Crew

(PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, $60, Teen)

In an excellent year for racing games, The Crew has the misfortune of bringing up the rear and sucking the exhaust fumes from the lead pack. While not as abhorrent as some reviewers gripe it may be, the racer seems lackluster because it’s stuck in neutral in too many aspects in which its rivals excel. Without an extra gear to distinguish it from other racers, The Crew stalls out of the gate and fails to catch momentum, even when its vaunted multiplayer takes hold. Even compared to last-gen entries such as Gran Turismo 6, everything from the menus to the backgrounds to the racing itself seems off-pace and dated.

The concept is appealing enough. As part of an underground racing circuit, you speed around an open-world map of the United States, dodging the cops as you jockey with opponents. The execution, though, can’t quite match the promise. The clunky visuals can’t match those of Microsoft’s Forza series, and the sluggish sense of speed rarely convinces you that you are barreling down the freeway with abandon. Things pick up considerably when friends and strangers are involved, ratcheting up the fun tremendously, but you get the feeling you’d all be doing better if you picked up the party and moved to one of the many superior racers out there.

The Dark Below

Destiny: The Dark Below

(Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, $20, Teen)

Destiny may not have lived up to its hype as a paradigm-shifting blend of first-person shooter and massively multiplayer online gameplay, but it’s managed to carve out a dedicated group of obsessive fans a franchise needs to make it an undeniable force. Along comes The Dark Below, a sizable expansion that gives the game the hyperdrive boost it needs to maintain momentum just as it’s starting to fade.

Three multiplayer arenas, a level cap increase, new story missions, a co-op strike and the six-player raid Crota’s End fill out some of the mainline game’s plot holes and structural shortcomings to give Destiny more of a sense of what pre-ordering customers were looking for back when it was released. Gone is the sense that you level up too quickly, only to be lost in a shapeless mire and forced to grind to access the best content. The missions infuse new life into the universe, pulling you along the explore/battle/loot loop with ease. If the other expansions that follow The Dark Below to live up to this one, Destiny fans have much to look forward to.

Fantasia

Fantasia : Music Evolved

(Xbox One, Xbox 360, $60, Everyone 10+)

By far the dorkiest game I have gotten my hands on this year, I can’t deny the joyous appeal of Fantasia: Music Evolved, a rhythm game that turns you into a hand-waving fool. Drawing on the mix of surreal visuals with eclectic music of the Fantasia movies, the game turns you into a conductor. You react to visual prompts, sweeping your hands in arcs, punching violently, and generally frightening your pet and roommates. The game takes excellent advantage of the Kinect sensor, which tracks your awkward movements with impressive accuracy, making you feel as though you’re in direct control of the sounds and shapes onscreen.

There’s a scoring and star rating system in effect, which feels much the same as what developer Harmonix has used in its Guitar Hero and Rock Band games, but it feels forced and insignificant. If your goal is to hammer away on the same songs and levels to ace them and move on as though you’re playing Angry Birds, you’re missing the point. Fantasia: Music Evolved is best when you forget about numbers and let yourself slip into the color, shape and music-fueled spell the game casts. Although hardcore gamers may be turned off, this is a solid titleto throw on at a party, as well as something to enjoy with non-gamers.

Game of Thrones

Game of Thrones: Telltale Games–Episode 1, Fire from Ice

(Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS4, Vita, $5, Mature)

Telltale Games is fast catching up with Lego game developer Traveller’s Tales in sheer volume. Just as seemingly any franchise can get the Lego treatment, pretty much anything can be morphed into a point-and-click, choice-driven adventure story. Unlike Borderlands, which Telltale just took on, Game of Thrones is a natural fit for the genre. Telltale sticks to what makes the HBO show so great, drawing on the rich lore, obtuse morality and rampant sex of the source material.

Flat presentation would make fantasy material like this fall flat, but superb voice acting and convincing animations — down to stirring, gravitas-selling facial expressions — make the story hit hard. While not as flashy or eager-to-please as some of Telltale’s other efforts, it feels as though the stage is being set for greater things. The first episode gets some of the necessary housekeeping out of the way, setting the stage for what are hopefully several seasons of fascinating twists to come.

Geometry Wars

Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions

(Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, $15, Everyone)
Back in the early days of Xbox Live Arcade on Xbox 360, Geometry Wars proved the viability of single-screen shoot-em-ups in the modern era. A couple of follow-ups later, the twin-stick bullet hell concept no longer seems as fresh, but there have been enough tweaks to the setup to reinvigorate it. Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions may not be an essential buy like its forebears, but it’s a welcome follow-up for those who crave the instant-gratification, score-topping frenzy of the arcade games of yore.

The graphics are still intentionally antiquated, but rough edges have been smoothed out, giving the levels a glimmer of futuristic polish that make them impossible to mistake for those from previous Geometry Wars entries. The shooting also gets some welcome variations, tossing aside the blow-up-everything-that-moves demands of past games in favor of distinctive enemies that require precision and strategy to take down. As expected, the difficulty ratchets up with alarming speed, which may discourage the weak-willed but satisfy the urges of thrill-seekers. In what feels like the definitive (and possibly last) entry in the series, the game becomes a promise fulfilled.

Lara Croft

Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris

(Xbox One, PS4, $20, Teen)
A top-down, puzzle-centric spinoff that runs as a counterpoint to the mega-produced, rebooted mainline Tomb Raider games, the Lara Croft games thrive on cooperative multiplayer and bite-sized challenges. Simple, yet satisfying combat and Diablo-style loot collecting keep things lively, even if the game feels like more of an expansion than full-blooded sequel of its predecessor, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. Inventive weaponry, clever, Zelda-style puzzles and stirring, Indiana Jones-worthy soundtrack breathe life into the outing.
Repetitive mission structure doesn’t help make the generally unimaginative level design any more tolerable, but a solid online structure makes it easy to pick up games with strangers on demand. Good luck on completing missions, though, if you get stuck with uncommunicative partners. You’re best off playing with friends if you don’t want to end up in a morass of confusion. But unlike last year’s Tomb Raider, which suffered from weak multiplayer, its serves as the strong point for this one.

It’s a huge honor for NFL Cheerleaders to be nominated to represent their squads in the Pro Bowl, and far too often these cheerleaders’ sacrifices and commitment to their teams go unrecognized. Pro Bowl honors are just one way that teams try and reward the hard work these ladies put in. While fans got to vote for players to make it to the Pro Bowl–that ended on Monday–it’s up to the teams to choose which women represent them in the Pro Bowl.

Thirteen teams have already named their cheerleaders for the 2015 NFL Pro Bowl, which means that we’re still eleven teams left to go. We’ll keep updating this post as more Pro Bowl Cheerleaders are named, so make sure to check back soon.

Something tells me that “Team Adidas” isn’t going to get in much practice time if Coach Snoop is in charge of ASU now.

Snoop and Adidas released this video today to signify that ASU is no longer sponsored by Nike, as Adidas outbid both Nike and Under Armor for the sole right to outfit ASU’s teams. #ForksUp #SmokeUp

Unfortunately, even though the ASU Sun Devils will play Duke in the Hyundai Sun Bowl on December 27th, the new deal takes effect in August 2015.

The weeks of 2014 are winding down, but it looks like we’ll keep hitting the high notes on the daily COED Instagram feed. Just check out the amazing parade of ladies who are making December a very special time of the year–like the awesome Alizé Barangé (above), who’s managed to find a nice warm tree to keep her bikini’d and beautiful right up to the end of the year.

We also have some very special holiday cheer from fitness model Terann, plus some very sunny sexiness courtesy of more bikini models like Rebecca Garcia, Pia Muehlenbeck, and Elizabeth Deo. Let’s not forget the ladies in lingerie, too, such as Laci Kay Somers and Alyssa Pettinato.

Maddy Rafferty can’t bother with any clothes at all, but we’re not complaining. And don’t forget to check out Johana Gomez getting sexy in a supermarket while picking up COED’s idea of a balanced dinner. It’s all part of a perfectly hot final stretch of a very sexy year…

Leaky Roof Delays Last Night’s Game Between Miami Heat and Brooklyn Nets

Barclay's Center Rain Delay

There are plenty of ways for a professional game to be delayed. Usually that sort of thing happens during games played outdoors though. On Tuesday night, the Miami Heat-Brooklyn Nets game was delayed for 31 minutes when the roof at Barclays Center began to leak.

Then everyone got the official explanation from the people at Barclays Center, which seems to involve somebody getting a memo about Earth Day back in 2013…

Barclay's Center Twitter

There’s nothing wrong with installing a green roof ,but there has to be a way to avoid the roof leaking while it is being installed. Thankfully, the delay was only a half-hour and not any longer as players sat in their locker room watching other NBA games. It may have been a good idea to put the green roof on the building when it was built in the first place.

The court was mopped up and the trash cans catching the water were removed and the game resumed with the Heat winning 95-91 when all was said and done. Hopefully, this is something that will never happen again and the Nets can avoid another delay from a leaky roof. At this rate though with a 10-13 record, a leaky roof to stop a game may be welcomed.

Naomi Campbell went international with her work on the reality show known as The Face this year–but it looks like her body is also planning to stay busy through 2015. In fact, Naomi Campbell looks ready to give Jennifer Lopez a run for the money as the current really hot sex symbols who are a lot older than we care to remember.

Naomi seems to be looking into the future with this shoot for Agent Provocateur’s Spring 2015 line of lingerie, too. The fine lingerie line has given us great shoots with the likes of Hailey Clauson and other beauties. This one seems to be anticipating a little 50 Shades of Grey action. Naomi is dolled up in a hot domme outfit, and–well, we’re not sure what the shovel is all about. Is it sexy to get hit in the face with a shovel? We don’t know much about that kind of stuff.

Anyway, check out Naomi and get used to lusting after ageless sex symbols. At this rate, our children will be writing about Naomi someday. If we raise them right…

‘Absolutely Anything’ Clip: Robin Williams’ Final Big-Screen Role is a Dog [VIDEO]

Robin Williams Last Role Absolutely Anything

Robin Williams’ suicide in August immediately had people pondering how the comic legend and fine actor would be wrapping up his career. Fortunately, Robin Williams’ last screen role won’t be a disaster. It won’t be the crappy direct-to-Redbox Merry Friggin’ Christmas, and it won’t be his quick paycheck in the latest Night at the Museum.

Robin Williams will get to go out in relative style with Absolutely Anything. It’s a sci-fi fantasy directed by Monty Python alumni Terry Jones, and it stars Simon Pegg. That guy has plenty of hipster credibility. And nobody can complain that Robin Williams’ last movie is just him voicing a dog, because Williams did some pretty remarkable voice work in his time. So check out this clip and get sold on a movie that has a decent chance of being really good…

Kendrick Lamar debuted a new song, “Untitled” on last night’s Colbert Report, along with a band featuring Thundercat and Bilal.

Strangely enough, that performance was the last musical segment that will ever run on The Colbert Report as the show is set to end on December 18th.

Watch the music video below. It’s a lot different than what you’d expect from Good Kid MAAD City, but similar to what he sounds like on “I.”

‘The Interview’ Backlash: James Franco & Seth Rogen Start Bailing on Talk Shows Today [VIDEO]

james franco seth rogen the interview backlash talk shows

Were you looking forward to seeing James Franco guesting on Kelly & Michael this morning to promote The Interview? Not gonna happen. Kelly & Michael just became the first talk show to lose a guest over Seth Rogen and James Franco canceling all of their promotion for the troubled comedy. Fortunately, Kelly & Michael were able to grab reality television star NeNe Leakes as a backup guest. That’s pretty much the most useful thing that you can expect for a reality television star.

We’ll still be pretty pissed if NeNe gets the lead guest slot today. Qucenzhane Wallis was originally the second guest after Franco, and the cute Annie star should definitely be moved to the start of the show. You’ll be able to tell how desperate things got for the Kelly & Michael staff if NeNe is the first guest.

Meanwhile, the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon has brought in Paul McCartney to fill in for the planned duo of Rogen & Franco. We bet there was an elaborate comedy sketch that got scuttled over that. We’re thinking that Paul McCartney will be able to kill some time, though. Seth Myers has done okay over at Late Night, too. They had to cover for Seth Rogen as Thursday’s lead guest, but Christoph Waltz isn’t a bad replacement.

From there, it’s no big deal on the talk-show circuit. Nearly all of the major talkers are taking next week off for a Christmas break. Anyway, it’s all an entertaining twist on the usual promotional crap at Christmastime. And it was a nice final win for The Colbert Report, as the retiring talk show got the last Seth Rogen interview before Sony pulled all the promotion over threatened terrorist acts against The Interview. We think this just became a historical document…

How was your year in Snapchat? Yeah, we were really cool, too. It’s a damn shame that Snapchat is designed to make all of our videos and photographs disappear after a few seconds. Well, there is something called a screenshot. Did you know about those? Turns out that all kinds of Snapchats can get immortalized. And not everybody is as awesome as your average COED staffer. It turns out that all kinds of people managed to embarrass themselves on Snapchat in 2014.

So take a look at some amazing Snapchat fails that really, really were supposed to disappear. Fortunately, they’ve beenfu kept around to provide plenty of laughs. Indianapolis Colts Cheerleaders Hottest Photos Blue & White

We’re celebrating Hanukkah here at COED with lots of latkes and the finest Manischewitz wine–and it’s always nice to see the Empire State Building lit up in blue and white to celebrate our eight crazy nights. You know who else is in blue and white? The beautiful ladies of the Indianapolis Colts cheerleading squad. Our thoughts always go out to them at Hanukkah, too.  [photo: Gregory Shamus/Getty]

Actually, our thoughts go out to the Indianapolis Colts cheerleading squad a lot. Check out their contribution to the 2015 Pro Bowl Squad. We’re also big fans of Indianapolis. The city has a lot more fine restaurants than you’d imagine. The ladies of the Indianapolis Colts also remind us that the city is full of great American beauties. We bet they’d all look great in blue and white–which, incidentally, are the colors of Hanukkah (and the Israeli flag) because the Israelites were told to dye a thread on their tassels with blue ink from a sea snail as reminder of the commandments of the Lord.

We can’t remember if that’s shown in Exodus: Gods and Kings. We were mostly waiting for the next barrage of special effects. Which reminds us that the Indianapolis Colts cheerleading squad have a very special effect on us. Watch them rock the blue and white–and we’ve even included some pics of them in their Christmas outfits for a true multi-cultural experience…
