We think Eruptor is going to get retired really soon. He won’t be the first dirigible to go down, though. Consider the balloon above–that being the Little Bill balloon from the Nickelodeon network. Yeah, it’s a little Bill Cosby. “Hey,” he seems to be saying, “you’ll be flying as high as I am once I slip this in your drink, baby!” At least, that’s sure how it looks now.

That automatically lands Little Bill in our list of the 10 Weirdest Retired Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Balloons. There’s still nine more, though. Check them out below, and just hope that Eruptor looks crazy enough to join their ranks someday…

Jeeves

Fancy English butler Jeeves is a beloved character from humorous stories by novelist P.G. Wodehouse. In 2000, he also became the mascot for search engine Ask.com, which rebranded itself as AskJeeves.com. The Jeeves balloon was grounded in 2005, and the website has since re-rebranded itself back to just being Ask.com.

Cheesasaurus Rex

Kraft Macaroni and Cheese mascot Cheesaurus Rex rode high above midtown Manhattan from 2001 to 2003. He was a blob of neon-hued yellow-orange in a blue ball cap and he inexplicably carried a camera. Extinction proved inevitable.

Chicken Little

Hey, it’s Chicken Little–from that 20015 animated classic movie that nobody really remembers, but maybe they showed it to you a few times in day care. How’d he get to show up like he was some kind of big deal? Man, this Macy’s Parade must really be all about corporate graft.

Superman (First Attempt)

Considering his famous ability to soar through the skies over Metropolis, Superman is a natural to be rendered as a Macy’s balloon. He’s done the honor three times, with cool versions appearing in 1966 and 1980 that emulated the Man of Steel in flight. Check out the first try, though, with Supes looking like an upright, uptight-looking mass of bubbly muscles and pumped-up angst.

Beethoven

Beethoven, a lovable lug of a St. Bernard who starred in his own film series, got the balloon treatment from 1993 to 1995. He then came out of the doghouse for one final go in 2008. Since then, the big boy’s been put out to stud.

 Nestle’s Quick Bunny

This one’s easily the most terrifying balloon to have hit the streets of Manhattan in modern times. This thing almost puts us off Nestle’s Quick–but it also gets us thinking how cool it would be if Macy’s ever had a balloon of the Cloverfield monster.

Alligator Drinking a Budweiser

Well, it’s an alligator from a Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, but it might just be that the thing is floating past a really cool Budweiser display from the glory days of Times Squares. It’s still nice to know that there was once an alligator drinking a Budweiser in the Macy’s Day Parade–if only for a moment.

 The Jeff Koons Rabbit

Pop artist Jeff Koons adapted his renowned 1986 stainless steel sculpture of an inflatable rabbit toy into giant balloon form for the Macy’s parade in 2007. Nobody expected it to be back in 2008, and they were all correct.

Sinclair Oil Dinosaur

A brontosaurus isn’t the most naturally cuddly of creatures, but the 1963 balloon of Sinclair Oil’s dinosaur mascot is undeniably fun and friendly-looking. That is, until you think about his connection to fossil fuel–i.e., we’re running our cars on this cute dude’s carcass. Maybe they’ll revamp him for Jurassic World tribute next year.

We’re not sure how thankful we’re supposed to be this November without having April Cheryse around–but at least the Playboy model’s pic gives us yet another reason to be thankful for the daily COED Instagram Feed. We’re going to have to assume that April is enjoying Thanksgiving in California, or maybe the Bahamas, or someplace else that isn’t enduring the wintery mix that’s snowing us in at the COED offices. We feel much warmer now, though.

Even More Sexy Instagram Pics…

It’s time to start writing up your Christmas list, and Santa really needs to find the COED offices so he can deliver the LEGO Strip Club–aka the Citizen Brick Center for the Performing Arts. Citizen Brick, of course, are the fine purveyors of custom Lego sets for grown-ups. The company broke through big with last year’s Breaking Bad set, but we’re really happy with this Lego Strip Club for only $275.  It even comes with a working light show and the mini-figures that you see above.

Yeah. LEGO should catch up, though. We remember when the company was in trouble and some Star Wars licensing saved the day. We can think of some fine licensing that would really spike LEGO sales.

We know that it’s still controversial to dress up in Native American garb–as Pharrell learned earlier this year–but there’s still a reason that beautiful babes like Irina Shayk keep saluting the proud tribes that greeted the Pilgrims at Plymouth Rock. Or maybe Jamestown. We’re kind of fuzzy on the facts because we keep confusing Disney’s Pocahontas with James Cameron’s Avatar, and that New World movie with Christian Bale and Colin Farrell put us right to sleep. Avatar really holds up, though. It’d be a good Thanksgiving movie.

Anyway, the important thing is that the Native Americans obviously had some kind of smart fashion sense going on, because built models keep looking really hot in that Indian garb. We’re pretty sure that the original Native American ladies looked just as sexy. That’s why our nation can’t help saluting the Native Americans who helped the first Thanksgiving happen–because who was going to turn down a dinner invitation from ladies sporting the kind of really authentic outfits below?

So let’s salute this important holiday with beautiful models who really know how to throw back to a Thanksgiving Thursday. You’re going to be really thankful for this feast of fine female forms…

YouTube is loaded with videos on how and how not to deep fry a turkey on Thanksgiving.  We can now add “by drone” to that list. Maryland based drone company Intelligent UAS has one-upped the deep-frying game with their latest video “Turkey Drone 2014″.  No matter how you cooked your Thanksgiving bird this year, it’s nowhere close to as cool as this.

Here we were celebrating the hottest models in Native American garb as part of Thanksgiving, and then SI goes and reminds us that Hannah Ferguson took that look right to the fringe with a wild bikini. And they even have video as special SI outtakes…

So there’s a special Thanksgiving bonus as we wrap up this year. We’ll be looking back at plenty of 2014’s hottest moments in the coming weeks, of course, but this surprise Thanksgiving feast is already a real highlight. Enjoy the video, and we have plenty of the hottest still shots below…

The fun guys at the Slow Mo Channel on Youtube have come up with a really fun idea for Thanksgiving–and useful, too, since it’s time for most of the country to put away the electric bug zappers. Yeah, that’s right. The Slow Mo Guys have put together a video that shows exactly what happens when a flying insect hits one of those things, briefly causing a flash of light and some shocked looks during the outdoor barbecue.

As it turns out, though, this new video has shocked lots of other people. It seems that some folks really don’t like the idea of a fly being sacrificed for the  purposes of education. As a result, we have a Thanksgiving controversy that’s a lot more fun than the usual one where the vegan at your table goes on about how Thanksgiving is really Genocide Day. Youtube comments are always fun, but especially when they have this kind of action…

Anyway, check out the really cool video for yourself. We doubt that it’ll make you lose your appetite, unless you’re easily disgusted by really sensitive types–and it’s not like you have to read the comments…

Even More Sexy Instagram Pics…

The trailer for Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens has leaked–or at least that’s what a lot of people want you to believe in a flurry of fake videos. Some of them have been painfully fake. Others have us kind of intrigued. And the video below seems to be the most believable, if only because of the crappy quality and the audience going nuts over the images. So, yeah, we’re putting this up in hopes that it could really be the leaked Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens trailer.

And if it isn’t, we’ll still take some pride in having that leaked Jurassic World trailer that has some footage you won’t see in the official trailer. You can still check out video stills that we pulled from that one–especially if this Star Wars VII trailer turns out to be fake, because we’d like to maintain our reputation for occasional accuracy. [UPDATE: One notification via Twitter suggested that we were seeing some video game footage here, and we’re thinking that maybe it’s a scene from the Star Wars: The Old Republic game–so it’s not looking good, but we still love that fake crappy quality]…

The beginning of Jabari Parker’s NBA career has been fairly disappointing, with the rookie averaging just 11.7 points and 5.9 rebounds a game for a Milwaukee Bucks team that is hanging around the .500 mark. While it would appear Parker is struggling, at least he’s keeping his sense of humor about things–including this incident with a referee on Wednesday night…

Parker should be given a lot of credit for having the foresight to decide to shake his own hand after the referee blew him off. It should have been expected that the official wasn’t going to shake Parker’s hand but at least he gave it a go to see what would happen. It didn’t work obviously and Parker moved on to using his own hand again to finish the shake.

There will be other times for Parker to be shaking hands with officials. Maybe he should try doing that before games. You know, instead of during the middle of a game. Halftime would also work as a solid option. Parker learned a valuable lesson on Wednesday in that referees aren’t big fans of playfully shaking hands during a professional basketball game.

We’ll be looking at Black Friday mayhem in the USA soon enough, but it’s kind of heartwarming to start with a brawl in the UK over cheap panties. Go, American culture! They may not have Thanksgiving overseas, but Christmas is still happening, and Black Friday has become an international sensation. We like how they come up with Black Friday sales that play more like fetish videos, too. Enjoy the action as UK babes go too wild over some panties that are on sale.

Are they white cotton panties? Or something more sexy and sheer? We’re sure there are a few guys eager to speculate further in their very detailed fantasies. We’re just presenting this for cultural reasons, and so that everybody in the UK can’t feel too snooty later on, and start acting like their Black Friday is full of people politely queueing up for Downton Abbey action figures…

Kendall Jenner has has an amazing 2014, and she’s wrapping it up with a hot shoot for DAZED magazine–including two pics that definitely help round up Kendall Jenner’s 22 Hottest Photos on the Internet. DAZED is always a fascinating read, anyhow. The latest issue is getting a lot of attention with a Shia LeBeouf interview that’s pretty amazing. Shia will just have to understand if we’re still more distracted by DAZED’s Kendall Jenner shoot, with pics like the above, plus this one right here…

You’ll want to check out the whole DAZED thing. We love the retro look, but Kendall is probably really happy to be living in the here and now. The low point of her 2014 was probably when the sales of her sci-fi book (allegedly written with little sister Kylie) fizzled. Also, we’re still outraged to hear about how Kendall was bullied by jealous older models during NYC Fashion Week, and all just because those other models had to actually work hard to get to the runway.

We’re thinking that hard work is kind of a relative thing in that context. Kendall sure seems to have worked hard in 2014 to us. After the release of the first Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens trailer, fans and fanboys couldn’t help themselves from taking to Twitter and telling the world their feelings.

From what we can tell, most people were too excited to see new Star Wars footage to be the internet’s usual, pessimistic self. That being said, more than a few fans are taking up issue with the new Sith lightsaber, but are happily surprised with what little bits they’ve seen of Daisy Ridley.

We cannot stop watching the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer on repeat, which is why we’re putting together a list for best GIFs from the movie below. Aubrey O’Day may be a British pop star from her days in Danity Kain, but she sure know how to celebrate Thanksgiving. She served up a very hot dish via her Instagram account while other sexy models were slaving over hot stoves. Aubrey O’Day deserves a rest after her busy 2014, though. For one thing, she turned 30 years old. You can see how horribly she’s aged, right?

Also, there was supposed to be a big Danity Kain reunion this year, but that fell apart in a big way–including a report that bandmate Dawn Richard whacked Aubrey in the back of the head. Did we already make a joke about how we would’ve paid more for a Danity Kain catfight than for a reunion concert? We probably did.

The important thing is that Aubrey’s weird year hasn’t made her shy. She’s as outgoing as ever, which makes for a very good holido’day anytime. Aubrey can stay on holiday as long as she wants, too. That’s how we get bikini pics like these…

Ever wonder why you never see pregnant turkeys? It’s because turkeys lay eggs, dummy. They’re birds.

The girl in this video must have missed that class in Biology because once she finds a mini turkey (fully plucked and dressed) inside of the big turkey, she figures that the momma turkey must have been pregnant and begins crying immediately.

This is like the one Thanksgiving day video involving tears that isn’t related to Black Friday riots.

First of all, we’re really happy to see John Boyega as the first face in the first Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer. That’s because Attack the Block was pretty much our favorite monster movie of 2011, and it’s great to see John Boyega make the very big leap to Star Wars (and genre) stardom. Still, we also want to acknowledge that a lot of guys saw a black stormtrooper in the desert and had the same thought we did: “Hey, that’s a scene from Spaceballs!”

And it is. See for yourself, and marvel at the broad racial humor in a Star Wars parody from 1987. Also marvel at how the black stormtrooper in the scene below would go on to his own sci-fi stardom in the only franchise that can rival Star Wars in making a cultural impact.
