The AMAs 2014 were held last night, and celebrity sideboob ran wild on  the American Music Awards’ red carpet and onstage. Things were wild enough that Heidi Klum was one of the more modestly-dressed gals on the stage. Of course, the night’s biggest star was Bleona Qereti in a body-baring dress that might not be SFW. Meanwhile, there was an incredible mix of hot young artists and sexy veterans on the AMAs stage. Jennifer Lopez (above) put on an amazing display of sideboob both on her own and with Iggy Azalea (with some creative lighting to cover up their booty-shaking “Booty” antics). Nicki Minaj, Jessie J, and Ariana Grande also did a great job of baring their butts in a generation-spanning celebration of their “Bang Bang” symbol.

Selena Gomez dressed demurely for the red carpet and bared her cleavage on stage, but the arrivals still had lots of incredibly hot moments from the likes of Kate Beckinsale, Christina Miliana, and the ever-MILFish Danica McKellar looking like she was auditioning to play Poison Ivy on Gotham.

We also got more of Charli XCX (who wowed us at the 2014 MTV EMAs), plus plentiful Taylor Swift, and Fergie can still rock a hot look, too. Catch up on all the hottest photos from the AMAs, and we’ll try to remember some of the music later on…

The Florida State Seminoles have been flirting with disaster all season long, but keep finding ways to win. Saturday afternoon saw an incident that could have changed the whole dynamic for the team moving forward. Jameis Winston and an official made contact as Winston was trying to get off a quick snap. The ACC said on Sunday though that the contact was “incidental and insignificant,” and there would be no discipline.

Here is a look at the play–along with an explanation from former official Mike Pereira about why Winston should’ve been ejected from the game…

Pereira makes a pretty good case. Winston’s contact wasn’t insignificant or incidental. It is clear that Winston is trying to shove the official out of the way so he can snap the ball. The ACC is claiming that the new rule about letting the defense set up before a play is why the contact wasn’t to the level of unsportsmanlike conduct.

Winston got away with one here and he has to know that. Florida State and their chances to win a second straight championship may have gone up in smoke if the official throws the flag the way he should have. Every expert that has talked about this has said Winston should have ejected. Why does the ACC feel so differently about it then?

The 2014 season hasn’t exactly been the best for Johnny Manziel with the Cleveland Browns if he was looking to play this season. The rookie has found himself on the bench as Brian Hoyer has led Cleveland to a 7-4 record so far. Sunday, however, saw Hoyer throw two fourth quarter interceptions and it led to Manziel’s girlfriend Colleen Crowley went to her Twitter account to pass on some coaching advice…

Manziel has only been in for five snaps the entire season, but maybe Crowley hoped that the interceptions would prompt a quarterback change from the Browns. That ultimately didn’t happen and Cleveland won once again. There is likely no way that Manziel is getting into a game this season unless Hoyer gets hurt.

Crowley is going to have to sit and wait just like Manziel for their chance to see Johnny Football on the field for more than one or two plays. That chance may come next season with Hoyer being a free agent. That may be the point where “bae” is actually put in the game.

Right now, though, Manziel and Crowley will continue to play the waiting game. The good news is that Colleen is the kind of gal that can really help pass the time. Take a look for yourself…

Waka Flocka Flame did the impossible and stole the show at the 2014 American Music Awards with this brand new Pine Bros. Softish Cough Drops commercial. It’s impossible not to love the marijuana innuendo that’s going on here.

From the look of the non-stop smoke, I think we can say that Waka finally hired his personal blunt roller.

First of all, though, we want to say that we still think that it’s really sexist how people look to Taylor Swift’s songwriting as some kind of sign that she’s a clingy mess of a gal. Nobody’s ever said the same thing about all of the male troubadours who’ve worked out their own high-profile relationships while making millions off their heartbreak. That’s not our point here.

All we’re saying is that we’re pretty sure that all of Taylor Swift’s lovers–Harry Styles, John Mayer, Conor Kennedy, and other guys who aren’t Taylor Lautner or Jack Gyllenhaal–have seen these crazy eyes at some point. This is why Taylor frequently complains about boyfriends who break up with her via text message. And there’s nothing wrong with that. Actually, these crazy eyes might explain why Taylor Swift keeps being a guilty pleasure for so many people. We can’t stand a lot of sensitive songwriters, and we’re betting that James Taylor or Dan Fogelberg couldn’t have mustered this kind of craziness when they were in their 20s. We can’t say the same of sensitive songwriter Charles Manson, though.

NY Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. had the greatest catch of the 2014 season last night, and while it wasn’t enough to win them the ballgame against the Dallas Cowboys, it certainly made him the subject of some hilarious memes on Twitter, Instagram, and Tumblr.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is joining Jurassic World in presenting its first trailer over Thanksgiving–but you’ll be paying cold hard cash to watch the first footage from the renewed Star Wars franchise. You’ll see the full Jurassic World trailer while watching football on NBC. The trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, however, will only be found in movie theaters.

So far, the only confirmation is nine theaters that are part of the Regal Cinema chain. Those are listed above, which means there might be some disappointed Star Wars fans out there. Probably not as disappointed as when they saw The Phantom Menace, though. And note that the screen grab above is from a Regal Cinemas page that (at the time of this posting) has been replaced by this image, and the promise of locations being listed soon…

So we’re thinking there might be new theaters getting added to the list. It would be too cruel to be making the list shorter.

There’s some other good news for stubborn Stars Wars fans. At least you won’t have to buy a ticket to a specific movie to see the new trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens–at least, not at your local Regal location. The movie chain is playing the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer before every movie playing in the multiplex.

We guess that includes the IMAX screenings, so maybe the fans will want to go out of their way for that experience. Otherwise, at least you can get around to a movie you’ve been meaning to see while paying good money to see the trailer. Which we suppose that we’ll be doing also, but strictly in a professional capacity, since The Force Awakens is one of our Most Anticipated Movies of 2015. Also, Han Solo.

This past weekend, Texas State University–one of the wildest schools in the nation–threw a Playboy Mansion Party at Legion Mansion in downtown Austin. Before Friday night had arrived, the party had already taken off on social media, spurred by none other than the hot TXSM students known as The Texas State Trendsetters.

Even if you don’t smoke weed, it’s easy to see why Thanksgiving is a great holiday for people who like marijuana.

Yes, sitting at a big table with your entire extended family can make even the chillest dudes a little paranoid, but the key is just to keep telling yourself that everyone has no idea because already drunk on red wine and you’ll be in the clear. Now nothing (besides a belt) can keep you from enjoying extremely generous portions of turkey, mashed potatoes, and stuffing.

If you’re hosting your own party this year with friends (and even family) and you want to experiment a little by incorporating marijuana into your recipes, then you’re in the right place. We’ve compiled a short list of five easy-to-make sides that all have weed in them.

Truth be told, making a roasted turkey properly is hard enough so we figured it would be best if we just stick to side dishes.

Important: If you haven’t made your cannabutter yet, stop what you’re doing and read this awesome guide on how to make it. You’re going to need about an ounce or an ounce and half. Don’t worry–it doesn’t need to be the greatest strain. You’re really going to need the volume though.

Ganja Gravy

INGREDIENTS:

Turkey, chicken or vegetable stock

6 Tbsp cannabutter

2 large onions, sliced thin

2 Tbsp chopped fresh rosemary

2 Tbsp chopped fresh sage

1/3 cup flour

1/2 cup balsamic vinegar

Salt and pepper to taste

½ cup balsamic vinegar

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT:

Large skillet

Pan you used for turkey

DIRECTIONS:

1. In a large skillet, melt canabutter over medium-high heat

2. Add sliced onions and sauté 10 minutes

3. Add rosemary and sage and sauté for 10 minutes

4. Add flour and whisk for 1 minute

5. Gradually whisk in stock and boil until gravy thickens, stirring frequently

6. In the pan that you baked the turkey in, pour the juices from pan into a large cup or bowl and spoon off fat. Add juices to the gravy.

7. Add vinegar to roasting pan. Bring vinegar to simmer over medium heat, scraping up browned bits. Pour mixture into heavy small saucepan.

8. Boil for about 3 minutes and add to gravy.

9. Season with salt and pepper.

10. Optional: If you are not cooking the turkey or are using the juices for a non-medicinal gravy, simply add the vinegar to the gravy and simmer for 10-15 minutes.

Roasted Garlic And Mary-Jane Mashed Potatoes

INGREDIENTS

5 pounds unpeeled red potatoes, quartered

2 heads of garlic (I love garlic!)

1/2 cup of cannabutter mixed with 1 cup virgin butter, room temperature

5 ounces Romano cheese, grated

2 1/2 teaspoons salt

2 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT:

Large pot

Aluminum foil

Potato masher and/or mixer

DIRECTIONS

1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

2. Cover quartered potatoes with 1” of cold water in a large pot. Cook on high until tender but still firm, approximately 45 minutes.

3. While potatoes are cooking, slice top portion off of heads of garlic and remove excess papery skin.

4. Drizzle garlic with olive oil.

5. Wrap garlic tightly in foil and bake for 35 minutes.

6. Let garlic cool slightly then press on the bottom of the garlic clove to push it out of its paper. Set mushy cloves aside.

7. Drain the potatoes.

8. Stir in butter, cheese, roasted garlic, salt and oregano.

9. Mash with a potato masher or mixer.

Cornbread Puffins

1/2 cup cannabutter, softened

2/3 cup white sugar

1/4 cup honey

2 eggs

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

3/4 cup cornmeal

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 cup milk

1/2 cup frozen whole kernel corn

One 4-ounce can diced green chile peppers

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT:

12 Muffin Cups

Large Bowl

DIRECTIONS:

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

2. Grease or line 12 muffin cups.

3. In a large bowl, mix together cannabutter, sugar, honey, eggs and salt.

4. Mix in flour, cornmeal and baking powder.

5. Stir in milk, corn, green chile peppers and cheddar cheese.

6. Pour or spoon batter into prepared muffin cups.

7. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center of a muffin comes out clean.

Sourdough Stuffing

4 tablespoons Cannabis Butter, melted (click for recipe)

5 1/4 cups day-old sourdough bread, cubed

1 pound sage pork sausage

1 cup chopped onion

3/4 cup chopped celery

2 1/2 teaspoons dried sage

1 1/2 teaspoons dried rosemary

1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

1 Granny Smith apple, cored and chopped

3/4 cup dried cranberries

1/3 cup minced fresh parsley

1 cooked turkey liver, finely chopped (optional)

1 3/4 cup Turkey Stock (can substitute store-bought chicken stock

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT:

Large baking sheet

Large skillet

Large bowl

Large casserole dish (13 × 9 x 2 works well)

DIRECTIONS

1. Preheat oven to 350°F

2. Spread the bread cubes in a single layer on a large baking sheet. Bake for 5-7 minutes or until evenly toasted. Transfer cubes to a large bowl.

3. In a large skillet, brown the sausage and onions over medium heat, breaking up any lumps.

4. Add celery, sage, rosemary and thyme to pan; continue cooking for a few minutes to blend flavors

5. Pour sausage mixture over bread in the bowl. Mix in chopped apples, dried cranberries, parsley, and liver.

6. Put stuffing mixture into a lightly oiled casserole dish.

7. Drizzle with turkey stock and melted butter.

8. Bake at 350°F for 40 minutes, covered; then 15 minutes uncovered. Serve.

Greenbean Hasherrole with Fried Onions

INGREDIENTS

For the casserole

2 pounds of green beans, trimmed and halved

6 tablespoons of Cannabis Butter (click for recipe)

1 pound mushrooms (your choice of variety — button or shiitake work well)
2 garlic cloves, minced

4 tablespoons flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

Pepper to taste

2 1/2 cups milk

1 tablespoon soy sauce

For the onion topping

1/2 onion, peeled, cut in half and sliced thin

1/2 cup flour

4 tablespoons Cannabis Butter

Salt to taste

Equipment

Large sauté pan

Large pot

Slotted spoon

Large casserole dish

DIRECTIONS

For the casserole

1.Preheat oven to 350°F.

2.In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook beans until tender, about 6 minutes. Drain the beans and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking. Pat dry. (This step can be done a day in advance. Just refrigerate the beans until ready to use)

3.Melt Cannabis Butter in a large sauté pan over medium heat. Add garlic and mushrooms and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

4.Sprinkle in the flour and stir — careful not to let the flour burn — for about 1-2 minutes.

5.Add salt and pepper.

6.Whisk in the milk and soy sauce and scrape bits off the bottom of the pan to incorporate. Bring to a simmer and continue to whisk and cook until the sauce thickens (about 5 minutes).

7.Mix the sauce with the prepared green beans and scoop mixture into a casserole dish.

8.Bake in the oven until bubbly — about 15 minutes.

9.Remove from oven and top with fried onions (directions below). Serve.

For the Fried Onion Topping

1.While the casserole is baking, put flour in a re-sealable plastic bag.

2.Add onion slices to bag and shake until evenly coated with flour.

3.Melt the canna-butter for the topping in a large sauté pan over medium heat.

4.Shake excess flour from onion pieces before adding them to the pan.

5.Cook for 1-2 minutes per side until golden brown (they cook quickly, so keep an eye on them). Don’t crowd the onions in the pan. Depending on the size of your pan, you may need to do this step in batches.

6.Using a slotted spoon, place cooked onions on a paper towel lined plate and season with salt. Set aside for topping casserole. (The onions can be prepared up to 2 days in advance and stored in an air-tight container lined with paper towels at room temperature).

It’s Thanksgiving week. That means a couple of days of classes (if you don’t blow them off), heading home for Wednesday night’s unofficial national pregame at your favorite local bar (which you definitely won’t be blowing off), and then feasting through your hangover with family on Thursday (which you don’t get a choice about: there is no blowing it off). Friday is for sleeping in until you realize it’s a long weekend, and you start your own party all over again—thankfully, of course.

Along the way, though, there’s plenty of fun stuff to check out in anticipation of Turkey madness, beginning with a double dose of Monday Night Football, with the regularly scheduled Ravens versus Saints game, along with the transplanted make-up match between the Jets and the Bills in Detroit.

Football is also as entrenched a Thanksgiving day tradition as drunk older relatives being hilarious until suddenly they’re not. Thursday’s pro games include Bears at Lions, Eagles at Cowboys, and Seahawks at 49ers. The college gridiron, meanwhile, will light up with the TCU Horned Frogs at Texas Longhorns, LSU Tigers at Texas A&M Aggies.

Other than sports, indoor entertainment rules the week, which is perfect for nodding in and out of food comas. Rick Ross’s Hood Billionaire album drops, along with a Soundgarden odds-and-sods box set. Blu-ray releases include The Expendables 3, The November Man, and a Three Stooges rarity collection.

TV traditions carry on, as well, with a Saturday Night Live Thanksgiving special Wednesday night, followed in the morning by the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and the National Dog Show.

The Three Stooges DVD Collection: Rare Treasures

History’s funniest men continue to give to the rest of us knuckleheads and porcupines. The Three Stooges DVD Collection: Rare Treasures is an odd duck, though, as it showcases the gold standard Moe-Larry-Curly Stooge lineup only sporadically, and instead focuses on Shemp and Curly Joes Besser and DeRita.

The box also includes two Three Stooges feature films, Rockin’ in the Rockies (1945) and Have Rocket Will Travel (1959). While this may sound like it’s for hardcore Stooge fanatics only, give these rarities a look—you never know which frying-pan-to-the-forehead is going to permanently fracture your funnybone. Also, one of the shorts boasts the greatest title ever: “Boobs in the Woods.”

Saturday Night Live Thanksgiving Special

NBC ushers in the holiday weekend with a two-hour primetime SNL special featuring the show’s funniest Thanksgiving moments over the past four decades. Expect to see Paul Simon singing in a turkey costume, Bill Hader serving black-and-white dinner as Vincent Price, a song from Tarzan, Tonto, and Frankenstein, and, we’re willing to bet our last drumstick, last weekend’s “Back Home Baller” music video.

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Huge balloons of beloved toys and cartoons float over midtown Manhattan for the 88th time as NBC broadcasts the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. New balloons this year include Paddington Bear, Thomas the Tank Engine, Pikachu, the Pillsbury Dough Boy, and a Mighty Morphin’ Power Ranger. Amidst the usual hodgepodge of beauty queens and Broadway performers, musical guests include Kiss, the Madden Brothers, and Meghan Trainor. Whoa—Kiss!

National Dog Show

(November 27)

John O’Hurly, Seinfeld’s J. Peterman himself, returns to host the National Dog Show live from the Kennel Club of Philadelphia. This circus of pampered pooches has become as much a tradition as the Macy’s parade and, for dog owners, it’s fun to both admire the grace and poise of the canine performers and to see how much cooler your bad-behaved mutt at home is than those nerds.

Fox’s Cause for Paws: An All-Star Dog Spectacular

In case the National Dog Show only whetted your appetite for four-legged TV variety programs, Jane Lynch and Hillary Swank co-host Fox’s Cause for Paws: An All-Star Dog Spectacular in primetime. Unlike the regal beagles and such of the championship contest, this special focuses on dog rescues and animal adoptions with categories such as “Cutest Puppy” and “Best Howler.”

Ferguson, Missouri finally got its verdict tonight on whether Officer Darren Wilson would be indicted for the fatal shooting during the arrest of teenage Michael Brown–and with charges dismissed against the officer, the riots have began. They began very quickly, too. President Obama was addressing the nation on CNN and asking for peaceful protest in Ferguson. Meanwhile, CNN’s split screen showed that tear gas was already spreading down the streets of Ferguson.

It also didn’t take long for this Vine video to hit of protesters trashing a police car, while other eyewitnesses are reporting items thrown at the police currently trying to control the protests in Ferguson…

UPDATE: We’re just going to keep collecting cop cars getting trashed–this one from CNN…

Sadly, it wasn’t just President Obama asking for restraint. Michael Brown’s parents released this statement as it became apparent that Officer Wilson would not be charged:

We are profoundly disappointed that the killer of our child will not face the consequence of his actions.

While we understand that many others share our pain, we ask that you channel your frustration in ways that will make a positive change. We need to work together to fix the system that allowed this to happen.

Join with us in our campaign to ensure that every police officer working the streets in this country wears a body camera.

We respectfully ask that you please keep your protests peaceful. Answering violence with violence is not the appropriate reaction.

Let’s not just make noise, let’s make a difference.

Instead, at the time of this posting, it’s looking like the live reporters on the scene at Ferguson will be reporting from a lot more scenes of violence. There’s a lot more tear gas rolling down the streets, and eyewitnesses report that the police are responding to attacks made up on the authorities. This is the start of a long night, folks…
