Man Fakes His Death Before Proposing To Girlfriend

A man faked his own death in a motorcycle accident shortly before asking his distressed girlfriend to marry him. The video footage of this incident was taken on Sunday, September 30.

Footage shows that the man, Jeffrey Delrio, lied on the road in South Cotabato in the Philippines while a traffic officer–who was also part of the elaborate proposal–tells his girlfriend Shiela Parayanon to prepare for the worst, the Daily Mail reported.

While Delrio was lying on the ground, his girlfriend Parayanon rushed to the scene and broke down in tears.

But shortly after playing dead, Delrio suddenly gets on his bended knee and pulls a red box with an engagement ring in it from his pocket.

He then asked his distressed girlfriend to marry him. And guess what? She said ‘yes’.

Moments before getting engaged, Parayanon was captured on camera rushing to the scene. She can be heard screaming and crying as traffic officers try to console her. As officers tried to revive Delrio, who was lying face-down, he sits up before surprising his girlfriend with the jewelry box and a smile.

Clearly stunned, the distraught girlfriend then turns to another traffic warden and hugs her with relief.

The gathered crowd cheer on as Parayanon, playfully slapping her boyfriend on the arm, accepts his proposal.

The stunt was captured on camera by their friend Mark Apura described the proposal as romantic but admitted the proposal was “unusual.”

Mark said the couple were ‘both full of love’ following the fake accident.Cu

“People keep thinking of strange ways to make marriage proposals. Jeffrey looked like he was very badly injured but then came alive when his girlfriend was there,” Apura said.

“I am happy to help spread the love,” he added.

However, not everyone was impressed, with one woman said, “It’s such a strange thing to do. If I was the woman I would have dumped him right there.”

Former UD student accused of rape released on bond https://t.co/NV7la2BNfg pic.twitter.com/ZWjwX1IBF6

— Delaware Online (@delawareonline) October 3, 2018

Clay Conaway, accused of raping six women over the past five years, was freed from jail earlier this week as he awaits trial.

The 22-year-old from Georgetown was released from Georgetown Correctional Institution on $310,000 bond on Monday, October 1, court records show. Last week, he pleaded not guilty to six counts of second-degree rape and one count of first-degree rape.

What Happened?

Conaway was first taken into custody in August on charges of first-degree rape in an alleged assault of a 20-year-old woman at a home in Georgetown in June. Last week, he was indicted on six additional counts of second-degree rape after five other women reported he had assaulted them.

According to Delaware.gov, the Delaware State Police Major Crimes Unit began an investigation involving a sexual assault incident that occurred back on June 20 at a residence in Georgetown, where Detectives identified Clay Conaway as the suspect.

On Wednesday, August 22, Conaway was taken into custody without incident. Conaway was transported back to Troop 4 on a warrant stemming from an August 20 indictment for Rape in the First Degree.  He was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court 3 and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $70,000 secured bond.

Since Conaway’s first arrest, the Delaware State Police Major Crimes Unit has identified five additional victims all stating they were sexually assaulted by Conaway.

On Monday, September 24, Conaway was indicted on six counts of Rape in the Second Degree involving five separate incidents. Conaway’s first court appearance was scheduled for Monday, October 1 at Sussex County Superior Court. On the same day, Conaways’ parents, Timothy and Mary Conaway, signed an agreement putting up four Sussex County properties they own in order to have their son released, according to The News Journal citing the court documents.

Conaway’s next court appearance is scheduled for December.

The conditions of his release include no contact with the victims or their families, home confinement and that he is barred from being alone with any women other than family members, court records stated.

Who Is Clay Conaway?

As NBC News reported in August, the University of Delaware Director of External Relations Andrea Boyle Tippett confirmed that Conaway had been a member of the baseball team but was no longer. She declined further comment, apart from saying he was no longer on campus.

University correspondence reviewed by The News Journal shows Conaway was expelled in October following a university investigation into a woman’s claim that he raped her in an off-campus apartment back in November 2017.

A woman's report of rape led to the expulsion of former UD student Clay Conaway, who is now charged with raping six women over five years. This is that woman's story: https://t.co/1IebbRxoEe pic.twitter.com/6PLo32lSOT

— Xerxes Wilson (@Ber_Xerxes) September 26, 2018

The accuser at the time was a 22-year-old university student whose name was withheld due to the protection of sex crime victims. She reported the attack to police, who have not criminally charged Conaway in that case.

“People should know the truth,” the woman said in the interview with The News Journal in September. “I feel like that will protect other women in the future and also just get the word out that he is a bad person and this is not a one-time thing.”

Conor McGregor Could Earn A Staggering Amount Of Money For UFC 229 Against Khabib

Conor McGregor is set to return to the Ultimate Fighting Championship for the first time in nearly two years for the main event of UFC 229 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The former two-division champion is set to face off against current UFC lightweight titleholder Khabib Nurmagomedov to headline the pay-per-view.

It will mark McGregor’s first fight since he took a brief hiatus from mixed martial arts to fight Floyd Mayweather in the boxing ring.

During that fight, McGregor made approximately $100 million.

But how much will he make in his UFC return?

While an official amount has not been confirmed, the brash Irishman claimed that he be earning at least $50 million for his return bout. McGregor’s own brand of whiskey, Proper 12 Whiskey, is one of the official sponsors for the event along with pay-per-view points that he will be earning.

From The Sun:

“My team and myself have done a lot of great work – and with the UFC – we’ve done a lot of good work. It’s give or take [nine figures]. The Mayweather fight was nine figures but we’re almost there, it’s a good, solid eight figures – half way there.

We’re all very happy with where we’re at. It’s not what the Mayweather fight was but it’s a good half way there. And to fight this bum, this flat-footed fool that everyone thinks is all this and all that. He’s stuck in the mud and he’s going to freeze in there. We’re very happy with the deal.”

Conor McGregor last fought in the UFC on November 12, 2016, defeating Eddie Alvarez to claim the UFC lightweight championship. At the time of his big win, McGregor became the first fighter in UFC history to hold two titles in two different weight classes simultaneously; he was also the featherweight champion at the time. Since that fight, McGregor was stripped of both belts, welcomed his first child to the world, and dabbled in the boxing world for a superfight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. Now, he is finally ready to step back into the cage to attempt to reclaim the title that he believes is still his.

Nurmagomedov, meanwhile, claimed the vacant UFC lightweight title at UFC 223 on April 7, 2018 in Brooklyn, New York. Nurmagomedov scored a unanimous decision victory win over Al Iaquinta in the main event. Khabib was initially scheduled to fight Tony Ferguson for the title, but the bout fell through in the final days leading up to the event and Iaquinta stepped up on short notice.

UFC 229 takes place Saturday, Oct. 6 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The UFC 229 main card will air on pay-per-view, with preliminary bouts on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.

Along with the main event between Nurmagomedov and McGregor, other bouts currently scheduled include Sergio Pettis vs. Jussier Formiga in a battle of top flyweight contenders, former Invicta FC champion Michelle Waterson vs. Felice Herrig, Ovince Saint Preux vs. Dominick Reyes, Ryan LaFlare vs. Tony Martin, and Lina Lansberg vs. Yana Kunitskaya.

Michigan Cheerleader Used Pot Brownies To Win Homecoming Queen

A Michigan cheerleader might give the term “higher education” a new meaning. Hartford Police said she handed out pot brownies in a bid to bribe her classmates into voting for her for homecoming queen.

What Happened?

The cheerleader, a 17-year-old female student, handed out marijuana-laced treats to some athletes at Hartford High School. The brownies were included inside goodie bags for the football team during Homecoming week as Fox News reported on Wednesday, October 3. She was caught after the school officials received an anonymous tip through the app OK2Say.

The girl, whose name is not identified, distributed the brownies in exchange for support at the next homecoming dance, officials said.

“The principal mentioned they were getting some tips in about some possible brownies that may have been laced with marijuana oil,” Hartford Police Department officer Michael Prince told Fox17.

A total of 12 brownies were brought to school. Although the authorities recovered only three of them, they said the rest may have been consumed. Those three desserts have been sent to the state police crime lab for testing to confirm there are drugs inside, according to WHNT.

Incident Going Under Investigation

“The school [is] taking this very seriously,” Prince said. “They are doing their own investigation, and they’re just starting to turn over some of the statements from the students possibly involved or witnesses.”

The students involved could be in trouble: having drugs is one thing, but officials said having drugs and distributing them in a drug-free zone could mean felony charges for those involved. Prince is now encouraging parents to talk to their kids about the issue.

“I think they need to talk to their children that are students and if they think that they could possibly been involved, then take them to the hospital and get them tested,” Prince said.

The female student accused of distributing the pot brownies is currently out of state with her mother for a family emergency, Prince said. He is hoping to interview them when they return.

There’s no word yet on any punishments, but the school did send home a letter that says all the students involved are being dealt with according to district policies and student handbooks, as WHNT reported.

As the definition of a casual fight fan, I’ll only really tune into the UFC for the premier, top-of-the-line fight cards, which happens about two or three times a year.

Because as a casual fight fan, we don’t necessarily tune in for the sport itself (though mixed martial arts being assuredly dope certainly helps) as much as we tune in for the stars that inhibit the sport.

And of all the stars that have driven casual fans to the game, Conor McGregor has that ability like no other — and that’s what makes him so valuable.

McGregor has the ability to make a non-MMA fan like myself mark my calendar to make sure I keep track of when Conor’s next fight is. It doesn’t matter what else I may be doing that day, I’m going to make sure I see that fight and any other fight he’s in.

And apparently, us regular folk aren’t the only ones who feel that way when it comes to the UFC, as the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas will see an influx of celebrities at UFC 229.

Chris Pratt, Elon Musk, Rory McIlroy, Matt Damon, Anthony Kiedis, Megan Fox, Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank, Joel Kinnaman, Mark Consuelos and Mike Tyson are all reportedly set to be in attendance at UFC 229 to watch The Notorious Conor McGregor take on Khabib Nurmagomedov.

McGregor last fought in the UFC on November 12, 2016, defeating Eddie Alvarez to claim the UFC lightweight championship. America’s favorite crime show is back Wednesday, October 3, and fans of the fictionalized Behavioral Analysis Unit are excited to see the fourteenth season of the crime drama unfold. Criminal Minds premiered thirteen years ago in 2005, serving as a beacon of consistency among network crime shows that seem to be mainstays of modern television. The season 14 premiere, appropriately titled “300,” is the three hundredth episode of the drama that has produced quality suspense and action throughout its entire run. The season 13 finale left fans with a cliffhanger in which Reid and Garcia find themselves in dire circumstance. “300” has a simple description: “Penelope is the victim of an abduction.”

Matthew Gray Gubler (Dr. Spencer Reid), Kirsten Vangsness (Penelope Garcia), and Joe Mantegna (David Rossi) headline the cast of season 14. Criminal Minds has had other high profile cast members, many of whom have left the show or been killed off. Leading man Thomas Gibson (Aaron ‘Hotch’ Hotchner) left the show in 2016 in the middle of season 12 after creative disputes with the studio. Shemar Moore (Derek Morgan) became a household name for his role in Criminal Minds, and this helped him get on his new CBS show S.W.A.T.

Season 14 will be several episodes shorter than the previous thirteen seasons, moving from 20+ episodes to just 15. Showrunner Erica Messer sees this as a positive, allowing for more character driven plotlines and better looks into the lives of the heroes rather than the criminals. Messer said, “We felt like the audience is always asking for more about the heroes, so we wanted to give them that.”

Check out the details of the premiere below to see where, when, and how to watch the season premiere of Criminal Minds.

Kamira Trent Photos: Full Story & Must-See Details of Good Samaritan

Kamira Trent has been identified in the Good Samaritan in a viral video that shows her defending two Spanish-speaking women in a Colorado grocery.

The video, which has been viewed over half a million times since being uploaded to Facebook, shows Trent defend the two Spanish-speaking women from Linda Dwire, who was accosting them. The incident happened in an aisle of a City Market grocery store in Rifle, Colorado, on Monday, October 1.

According to witnesses, the racially-charged conflict began when Dwire overheard the two Mexican women — identified as Fabiola Velasquez and Isabel Marin — speaking in Spanish to each other. Dwire interrupted to ask if the pair lived in the United States and if they liked it.

After Velasques and Marin replied that they did enjoy living in the United States, Dwire raised her voice and told them to learn English.

At this point, Trent enters the scene, telling Dwire: “I’m calling the cops. You leave these women alone! Get out!”

via Buzzfeed News:

Velasquez, who has been in the US for eight years and was accompanied at the market by her two daughters and son, told BuzzFeed News that Dwire was aggressive and kept putting her hand in her face.

Trent, who was also shopping in the aisle, said she overheard Dwire tell Velasquez and Marin, “You’re in America. You’re in my country. You can’t speak Spanish here. You need to speak English if you’re going to be in America.”

Trent said she initially tried to deescalate the situation, stepping between Dwire and Velasquez and reminding Dwire it was a free country and that she couldn’t tell the other women how to speak.

Dwire responded by telling Trent it wasn’t her business. After about 10 minutes, the conversation between Trent and Dwire had spiraled into a shouting match, and Trent called the police. Velasquez said she and her friend would likely not have called the police themselves.

Following the incident, Dwire was arrested, taken to Garfield County Jail, and charged with two counts of bias-motivated harassment.

Trent has since received widespread praise of social media for taking action. As for Dwire, she maintains that she is not racist.

Linda Dwire has been identified as the racist woman in a viral video that shows her accosting two Spanish-speaking women in a Colorado grocery.

The video footage, which has over 500,000 since being posted to Facebook at the time of this writing, shows Dwire verbally assault the two Spanish-speaking women at the City Market grocery store in Rifle, Colorado, on Monday, October 1.

According to reports, the racist situation began when Dwire overheard Fabiola Velasquez and Isabel Marin — two Mexican women living in Colorado — speaking in Spanish to each other.  This caused Dwire to interrupt them to ask if the pair lived in the United States.

When Velasquez and Marin confirmed in the United States, Dwire told them they should learn English while continually raising the sound of her voice.

This is when Dwire was confronted by Good Samaritan Kamira Trent, who stood up for the two Mexican women by telling Dwire that you “do not harass people” and calling the cops.

Police eventually arrived on the scene and Dwire was arrested, taken to Garfield County Jail, and charged with two counts of bias-motivated harassment.

via Buzzfeed News:

Velasquez, who has been in the US for eight years and was accompanied at the market by her two daughters and son, told BuzzFeed News that Dwire was aggressive and kept putting her hand in her face.

Dwire responded by telling Trent it wasn’t her business. After about 10 minutes, the conversation between Trent and Dwire had spiraled into a shouting match, and Trent called the police. Velasquez said she and her friend would likely not have called the police themselves.

Coincidentally, after the incident has died down and the three women shared a hug, Trent learned later that she had previously coached Marin’s daughter alongside her own on an extracurricular volleyball team.

When speaking about the incident, Velasquez said that it “felt good to see someone who was born here defend us that way.”

As for Trent, she said that anyone in a similar situation should “stand up and say something” because “letting that happen is really what’s wrong with our country.”

Brooklyn College Professor Sparks Rally Over Sexual Assault Comments

At Brooklyn College, Young Progressives of America call for Prof. Mitchell Langbert’s firing after blog post painting sexual assault as male rite of passage pic.twitter.com/rghsITHNra

— Claire Lampen (@claire_lampen) October 4, 2018

A Brooklyn College professor has drawn attention on his post in his personal blog, stating sexual assault to be the “male rite of passage” in reference to the Kavanaugh Hearings. This led to Brooklyn College students to flare up and voice their disapproval, calling for the removal of this professor “without delay”.

What Happened?

Brooklyn College Associate Professor in Business Management Mitchell Langbert, posted on his personal blog on Thursday, September 27, 2019, “If someone did not commit sexual assault in high school, then he is not a member of the male sex.” This condoning of sexual assault is his sharing of his opinions on the Kavanaugh Hearings that have been ongoing for weeks now.

His full statement states:

“If someone did not commit sexual assault in high school, then he is not a member of the male sex.  The Democrats have discovered that 15-year- olds play spin-the-bottle, and they have jumped on a series of supposed spin-the-bottle crimes during Kavanaugh’s minority, which they characterize as rape, although no one complained or reported any crime for 40 years.

The Democrats have become a party of tutu-wearing pansies, totalitarian sissies who lack virility, a sense of decency, or the masculine judgment that has characterized the greatest civilizations: classical Athens, Republican Rome, 18th century Britain, and the 19th century the United States. They use anonymity and defamation in their tireless search for coercive power.”
His post has been shared amongst Brooklyn College’s students, alumni’s and staffs
This outraged many students especially Corrinne Greene, one of the leaders in Young Progressives of America.
“To have someone in a position of power espousing sexual assault is not a joke. It’s something that needs to be taken seriously,” she said.
Greene has scheduled a rally calling for his terminal in Brooklyn College on Thursday, October 4th, 2018 at 12:15 pm and professors are allowing students to leave class to participate in this rally.

Brooklyn College has released an official statement to this.

Brooklyn College Provost Anne Lopes calls Langbert’s post to be “abhorrent and counter to the values of the school community.” However, she recognizes the power of the First Amendment and states that school officials will plan a forum to discuss this dilemma.

This also drew the attention of The Professional Staff Congress (PSC-CUNY,) a union that represents 30,000 faculties and staff at the City University of New York (CUNY) and the CUNY Research Foundation. It is dedicated to advancing the professional lives of its members, enhancing their terms and conditions of employment, and maintaining the strength of the nation’s largest, oldest and most visible urban public university.

PSC-CUNY states:

The Professional Staff Congress/CUNY, the union that represents the faculty and academic staff at The City University of New York, joins students, faculty and staff colleagues at Brooklyn College and throughout CUNY in denouncing Professor Mitchell Langbert’s disgusting statement that committing sexual assault in high school is a prerequisite for being “a member of the male sex.”

Regardless of Professor Langbert’s subsequent claim that his remarks were intended as satire, his advocacy of sexual violence, together with the misogynistic and homophobic views expressed in his blog post on Judge Kavanaugh, are the antithesis of what colleges—and unions—represent. Nevertheless, the PSC vigorously opposes calls for the immediate dismissal of Professor Langbert, repugnant as his comments are. Professor Langbert is entitled to the due process protections the PSC has won for every CUNY employee represented by the union.

The right to due process offers protection of dissenting and minority positions, no matter how repugnant those positions may be; the due process must be upheld in every case if it is to have meaning. The PSC will continue to support the thousands of CUNY faculty, staff and students who work every day to make the university a safe and vibrant institution.

Who is Mitchell Langbert?

Top 10 College Football Stereotypes You Should Know

College Football Stereotypes

College football is one of those sports that everyone watches. Watching the NFL isn’t really the same, those who go to college are amerced in their team because no one like’s to see their university lose. Even if they do hate the sport. Plus, add alcohol and a bunch of your college friends, and you get what’s called a perfect time. Fast forward thirty years and you are still doing the same thing you just can’t do most of the stupid stuff like you did in college. Here are some of our favorite college football stereotypes.

Tennessee Fans

Instagram Photo

Southern drunk boys are at the top for being the most dangerous college football fans. Fire and drunk boys do not mix. Actually, combining anything with drunk people is not safe, it’s never safe. However, Tennessee fans manage to always play with flamethrowers, drink a bunch, and never make it to the games because they are too occupied with their flamethrowers or passed out in the parking lot.

Miami Fans

Instagram Photo

In the past year, Miami has turned into the bandwagon team. Two years ago, their games looked like the pipsqueak soccer games where the players got oranges at halftime. Now, since their team is doing good, they suddenly have following. They may have a big fan base behind them, but I bet no fan can define a pass interference.

USC fans

Instagram Photo

The fans who really don’t care what is going on in the game. All they care about is drinking. They are, probably, the worst fans in college football. They show up late, drink way too much, and leave early because they either met someone or they ran out of booze. The only fans who do care about the game are the player’s parents.

Ohio State Fans

Instagram Photo

Can you say trash kids? Welcome to the college who love to randomly throw punches at the person next to them. They will never give a crap because their bodies are high on beer and they will never feel anything because their beer bellies will take the blow for them. If you feel like fighting someone head to Ohio State for a great slump fest.

Michigan Fans

Instagram Photo

Let’s make it as clear as possible for you Michigan fans, you are not good! Young fans who are always confused as to why their team isn’t better. Don’t get us wrong, they are very passionate about their team. Yet they still need that little slap in the face that tells them they suck.

Alabama Fans

Instagram Photo

Who is your favorite college team? Yeah, Alabama fans think they are better than you.

LSU Fans

Instagram Photo

Similar to Michigan fans, yet somehow smell a lot like corndogs. We don’t know why or how we are just going to go with it. We do have to admit; LSU fans do party it up like it’s Mardi Gras every Saturday.

Texas Fans

Instagram Photo

The Bills of college football. Texas has been “back” for eight years, but back for Texas has been 7-5. There is a big hype in the first quarter thinking their team is going to win, but as each quarter ends their disappointment grows, and their hopes of winning are being saved for the next week.

Penn State Fans

Instagram Photo

Stupid white guys who were always in denial that their team was losing, as well as if their grades are in the trash. They also somehow are in the idea that they are innocent young men who will not enable pedophilia. Excuse us while we go vomit.

Oregon Fans

Instagram Photo

Behind Alabama fans, Oregon fans think they are the top dog. The team who was once good but and now a complete joke because of their fans and that stupid duck mascot who looks like Donald Duck got held back in college. And yet they still get a bunch of money for new gear.

UFC

Once again, Conor McGregor showed up late to a UFC press conference. And once again, it was easily worth the wait.

While the conference was scheduled to start at 3 p.m. PST, McGregor didn’t show up until about 3:40, and probably on purpose. McGregor is in full mind-game mode and showing up late has always been in his arsenal of tricks.

By the time McGregor did show up, Khabib was long gone, but nevertheless, the former two-division champion still had plenty to say, particularly about Khabib’s trainer, alleging that he is a terrorist with potential 9/11 ties.

Conor McGregor claims Khabib Nurmagomedov’s manager is a terrorist-turned-informant and was arrested in 9/11 with 5 passports in his possession. pic.twitter.com/xZPKfamc9k

— Eric Italiano (@eric_italiano) October 4, 2018

McGregor last fought in the UFC on November 12, 2016, defeating Eddie Alvarez to claim the UFC lightweight championship. At the time of his big win, McGregor became the first fighter in UFC history to hold two titles in two different weight classes simultaneously; he was also the featherweight champion at the time.
