Kimberly Thompson, a former drummer who played for Beyonce Knowles, filed a request for a temporary restraining order against the “Lemonade” singer, claiming that Beyonce uses witchcraft, dark magic, and magic spells.

Furthermore, Thompson claimed that Beyonce has been using black magic to “run surveillance and control her finances” and that she killed her kitten.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Thompson — who said she “worked for her as her drummer for her band for 7 years” — claims that Beyonce has started a campaign of harassment against her that includes “extreme witchcraft, dark magic, and magic spells of sexual molestation.”

In addition, Thompson alleges that Knowles killed her kitten.

Thompson believes Beyoncé has been taping her phones and controlling her finances. It’s unclear why Thompson believes the singer is allegedly doing all this to her, but she is adamant it all stems from Bey.

We did some research on Thompson, and according to interviews and reports it appears she is a drummer that performed with Beyoncé as part of an all-female band. She has also released several albums on her own record label and has played with The 8G Band on “Late Night with Seth Meyers.”

She also posted a YouTube video recently talking about “mean” people, and appears disheveled and erratic.

According to the report, Thompson’s request for a temporary restraining order again Knowles was denied by a judge.

At this time, Beyonce has not publicly acknowledged or made a comment about Thompson’s allegations. Furthermore, neither Beyoncé’s rep nor have returned various requests for comment.

The Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity at UMass Amherst has been indicted for hazing and procuring alcohol for a minor. The charges stem from a 2017 incident where a student was hospitalized for alcohol poisoning.

According to reports from CBS, The Hampshire Grand Jury has handed down four indictments to the Theta Mu chapter of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, which is being charged as a corporate entity. The fraternity has been charged with two counts of procuring alcohol for a minor and two counts of hazing.

The fraternity house is located at 374 North Pleasant St. in Amherst, Massachusettes.

Each count of procuring alcohol for a minor is punishable by a fine up to $2,000, while each count of hazing is punishable by a fine up to $3,000.

At this time, an arraignment date in Hampshire Superior Court has not been scheduled.

This is the latest major fraternity or sorority lawsuit, investigation, suspension or closure in the last year, as schools such as Indiana University, the University of Michigan, Ohio State University, Texas State, Florida State, Ball State, Louisiana State and Penn State have all suspended fraternities in the wake of hazing and alcohol deaths.

These reports come amidst similar allegations that have been made against fraternities nationwide, including Sigma Alpha Epsilon at East Carolina University, who was shut down for hazing and the Lambda Chi Alpha chapter at the University of Arkansas which has been accused of taking sexually explicit photographs of women without their permission.

In response to incidents like these, fraternities such Phi Kappa Psi have made numerous changes to their code of conduct in an effort to address the issues that have arisen. In addition, schools such as Texas State, West Virginia University, and Penn State University have introduced new Greek Life rules to try and prevent these problems.

Georgia Bureau Investigation

Amanda Lenea Pardue, a 35-year-old Georgia substitute teacher, has been accused of allegedly sending naked pictures of to several teenage boys.

Pardue turned herself into Dade County Jail without incident on Thursday, September 20, and was charged with electronically furnishing obscene material to minors and computer or electronic pornography and child exploitation, which is a felony. She was released on the same day on a bond of $30,000.

Following an investigation that began on August 31, authorities issued an arrest warrant for Pardue after learning she allegedly sent “inappropriate” messages to “multiple” underage boys. Pardue reportedly used SnapChat to send the photos.

Pardue was subsequently fired from her position with Dade County Schools.

Jan Harris, the Superintendent of Dade County Schools, released the following statement about Purdue’s arrest:

“We are saddened to learn about the arrest of a former substitute teacher. This individual is no longer employed as a substitute teacher with the Dade County Schools. We are cooperating with law enforcement officers as they investigate this matter.”

At the time of this writing, the investigation remains active and anyone with information about Pardue or the case is asked to contact the Georgia Bureau of Investigation at 706-624-1424.

Pardue is just the latest teacher to be charged for inappropriate conduct. Over the course of just a few months, educators across the country were arrested for entering into an inappropriate relationship with their students, Tennessee teacher Janet Smothers, LaToya Parker, Florida teacher Caroline Lawson, 26-year-old Allyson Moran and Katherine Ross Ridenhour were all arrested on similar charges. A woman named Kayla Sprinkles was arrested in North Carolina for similar sexual crimes.

The list goes on to include 22-year-old Oklahoma science teacher Hunter Day, 28-year-old teacher Megan Kotarski, 23-year-old history teacher Michelle Schiffer, 29-year-old Alyssia Marie Reddy, special education teacher Jordan Ondish and 28-year-old Samantha Fitzpatrick have all been allegedly carrying on inappropriate relationships with their students.

34-year-old Miranda Nicole Pauley was charged with similar crimes, Nancy Leigh Ann Brann, a former Christian school teacher, was arrested for having sex with a student, Coine Audiat pleaded no contest to having sex with a minor in 2016 and 23-year-old Darci Lake was arrested for an inappropriate relationship. 27-year-old Brittany Zamora from Arizona was arrested on similar charges. Keri Hoffman, 35, was also arrested for an alleged relationship with a student. Similarly, 29-year-old Tiffany Ranweiler-Oblander and 33-year-old Maren Oates were arrested on similar charges.

Most recently, 29-year-old Haylie Smart and 25-year-old Alaina Ferguson were charged with similar crimes.

Though a bit confusing because of the name, Oktoberfest actually takes place in the final days of September, leading into the beginning of the namesake month. The 2017 celebration featured 7.2 million visitors, nearly 7 million liters of beer consumed, and more than one hundred thousand incidences of festival goers getting caught trying to smuggle out one of the world-famous Oktoberfest mugs from the venue tents. With millions of visitors from around the world expected at Oktoberfest 2018, it will surely be an event to remember. Oktoberfest History

Oktoberfest began as a celebration of the 1810 marriage of Crown Prince Ludwig (later King of Bavaria) and Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen. Munich’s citizens were invited to the fields of Theresienwiese, just outside of the city gates, to celebrate the royal event. Though originally dedicated to horseracing, this was the first instance of the festival that would later develop into what we know today as Oktoberfest. Bavarian agriculture exhibits were added to the festival in 1811 to showcase the crops that were produced at the time.

Though small beer stands existed in the first decades of the festival, it would not become the main attraction until the introduction of the large beer tent in 1896. With the patronage of local breweries, beer consumption steadily grew as demand increased with each year. When the festival became a tourist destination, Bavarian foods became more of an attraction than it had been when the patrons were exclusively German citizens. As with most traditions, the final product is essentially an amalgamation of the popular facets from years past with the less popular going by the wayside. What began as a marriage ceremony with horseraces and agriculture became one of the largest beer celebrations in the entire world.

One of the biggest things that can happen during college is the hosting and preparation of a school’s home game. On those big game days, we usually see an increase in booze, ecstatic people, and after parties. But along those exciting activities also harbors something sinister, the issue of sexual assaults.

In a recent study done by the American Economic Association, it was reported that in events like these, daily reports of rape with 17-24 years old victims increases by 28 percent. The worst part? most of the offenders are often known to the victim. The causing of this can be linked to the high consumptions of alcohol and drugs that often are mood enhancing.

The Effects of Alcohol:

Alcohol consumption has proven to have direct effects on levels of aggression and the deteriorating of one’s cognitive function, which are contributing factors to why sexual assaults at parties are more frequent. Alcohol may also fully or partially incapacitate victims who are consequently more vulnerable. Another thing is the number of sexual assault cases is mostly unreported. A justice department providing insights on it claims that only 20% of the sexually assaulted victims go to the police, leaving 80% of cases unreported. Around 1 out of 10 victims claim that it is not important enough for the authorities to intervene or that nothing can be done and 1 in 5 are afraid of retaliation from the perpetrators.

How Colleges Are Trying to Help:

The federal government has tried to increase awareness of the issue and work to provide solutions and guidance on efforts to promote student safety at all times. But many of the programs did not do well to highlight the party culture at colleges and the role alcohol plays in the increasing numbers of sexual assault. Many colleges have been trying to battle this with programs of their own. For example, The University of Berkeley is issuing online course to incoming freshman and a mandatory “Bear Pact” event on campus, which focused on how to intervene when a student sees a potential victim in a dangerous situation. However, many are skeptical as people are still reporting that they feel unsafe and harassed around campus.

However, some organizations have stepped up and came up with ideas to help put a stop to this. One organization would be The American Association of University Women,  and its “toolkit”  to fight this silent epidemic.

Colleges Aim To Limit Sexual Assault By Campus Doctors

Brett Ojiyi, a junior college football player at Colorado Mesa University, was killed in a shooting early on Saturday, September 22, in Grand Junction, Colorado.

According to authorities, Grand Junction police were called around midnight on Saturday, September 22, to a home in the 1100 block of Main Street, where they found Ojiyi suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Jjiyi was later pronounced dead at the residence.

At this time, few details have been released about the incident and no arrests have been made. Police say there are no safety concerns for public.

The Colorado Mesa University released the following statement about Ojiyi’s death on Facebook:

“University officials are organizing response services for students, family and staff including counseling and emotional support options. Grief professionals from CMU Student Services and Mind Springs Health are among the CMU partners working to address the needs of students, family and coaches facing this tremendous loss.

“Counselors and support services are available to students by appointment at the Student Wellness Center, 1060 Orchard Ave. Those who wish to talk with a counselor may contact the center at 970.644.3740. The university also has crisis support resources available after hours, which can be arranged by contacting on-call services at 970-201-8472. Faculty and staff may access counseling through the Employee Assistance Program by contacting the Human Resources office.”

A moment of silence was held for Ojiyi prior to the start of Colorado Mesa’s football game against Chadron State.

Ojiyi, a running back from Los Angeles, played for the Colorado Mesa University Mavericks since 2016.

Colorado Mesa, which is located in Grand Junction, Colo., competes at the NCAA Division II level as a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.

The Theta Chi fraternity chapter at West Virginia University announced on Sunday, September 23, that they would be disassociating from the school.

According to the statement from the fraternity’s national office, the decision to disassociate was made due to West Virginia University’s continued restrictions on first semester students joining fraternities.

The statement claims that the restrictions singles out Greek life organizations and are not applied to other student organizations or teams.

The Theta Chi fraternity says there is no research to suggest that delayed recruitment addresses any of the challenges WVU has cited as the rationale for such restrictions.

The Alpha Kappa Chapter of the Theta Chi fraternity is now the fourth WVU fraternity to disassociate, following Kappa Alpha, Sigma Chi, and Phi Sigma Kappa.

“The Fraternity urges WVU administrators to cease verbal attacks and intimidation of students and organizations who have taken principled stand against restrictions on the timing of fraternity recruitment,” the fraternity’s statement read.

Theta Chi’s office said the fraternity will be an “active participant in the formation of an independent Interfraternity Council” in Morgantown.

UMass-Amherst Fraternity Indicted On Hazing & Alcohol Charges

Central High School in Philadelphia is currently on Lockdown after a female student was shot.

According to reports, a 17-year-old girl was shot in the shoulder at 1600 Olney Ave, near Olney and Ogontz Avenues, and ran to Central High School around 8:15 a.m. local time before being rushed to Einstein Hospital.

Police say the gunman, who remains unidentified, is still at large. At this time, the juvenile victim is reportedly in stable condition.

As the shooting took place outside the school, Central High School and Widener Memorial School were placed on lockdown as a precaution. The lockdowns were lifted at 9:15 a.m.

That is all the information available at this time.

Central High School is a public high school in the Logan section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Central, the second-oldest continuously public high school in the United States, was founded in 1836 and is a four-year university preparatory magnet school. The school has a student population of about 2,400 students in grades 9 through 12.

The lockdown at Central High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is just the latest in a string of lockdowns, bomb threats, and shootings that have plagued the United States. Over the course of the past few years, shootings and lockdowns such as these have been a scourge upon the country and people have struggled with coming up with a solution. Lockdowns have become all too common as a means of protection when students and faculty are in danger and today is no different.

This incident follows similar incidents at Dodd Middle School in Connecticut, Windham Public Schools also in Connecticut, Pacoima Middle School in Los Angeles, Millennium Middle School in Florida, and US Grant High School in Oklahoma, which are just some of the places where events such as this have occurred.

Mikayla Lowry, a 17-year-old student at Trevor Browne High School and Estrella Mountain Community College in Arizona, learned the surprise of a lifetime over the weekend. Lowry, a member of the Boys & Girls Club, learned that she had received a scholarship from Jay-Z and Beyonce to pursue her college career.

Lowry is set to pursue marine biology and received the $100,000 scholarship from the Shawn Carter Foundation and the BeyGOOD Initiative.

Lowry, who hopes to pursue a marine biology career at Grand Canyon University or Northern Arizona University, would be the first in her family to attended college. The incredible student has also volunteered with the BGCMP’s Better to Give program, serving in soup kitchens and shelters. Although she has a 3.7 gpa and received top marks throughout her education it is likely that college would have been unlikely for her. Lowry has received the largest ever scholarship for a member of the Boys & Girls Club.

Lowry’s father passed away at an early age following a battle with alcoholism. Her mother raised three children alone, so the scholarship that helps students in need was a welcomed surprise.

Beyonce’s BeyGood Initiative gave $100,000 to four Historically Black Colleges and Universities students through Beyoncé’s Homecoming Scholars Program. Before later partnering with Google to give $25,000 to four more students. She also launched the Formation Scholars Award to help female students afford to go to college last year. Jay-Z has also established a scholarship fund to help students with tuition and other living expenses.

AnnCatherine Heigl, a George Mason University student with Down syndrome, applied for membership to eight sorority chapters at the school and did not get into a single one. Now, her older sister Lillie Heigl is taking action.

After hearing that her sister AnnCatherine was “released” from eight different sororities at George Mason, Lillie took to Twitter to express her disgust that such a thing could happen.

Stating that there were less than 300 women vying to gain entry into the eight GMU sororities this year, Lillie Heigl said that she refused to “believe that based on these numbers there isn’t a single chapter that had a spot for AnnCatherine.”

My name is Lillie Heigl and I am AnnCatherine Heigl’s older sister. AnnCatherine was released from recruitment Sunday morning and is upset, as can be expected. For the sake of transparency, so am I. Greek life has been a huge part of my family. My great grandparents, grandparents, parents and my brother and I have all been members of the Greek system. I was a Kappa Alpha Theta at the University of Missouri (where I graduated from in May) and my mom was a Tri Delta at ASU. Despite the act that our chapters don’t exist at GMU, we were both SO excited for AC to go through recruitment.  I hoped she would find the love, support, and growth that I experience in my own chapter when she went through at GMU.

When I moved out of state from Indiana to Missouri, Theta was a huge part of me finding a home away from home. AnnCatherine did what many typical students don’t have the courage to do, she moved 10 hours from home. Her high school friends who have heard that she was released are absolutely shocked and amazed that NONE of your chapters wanted her as a sister. They are shocked and amazed that there wasn’t a single chapter that could provide that home away from home that so many of us need,” Heigl’s statement read in part.

In her statement, Lillie says she believes AnnCatherine was not “extended a bid because she’s a woman with a disability.”

The Mason Panhellenic issued a statement about Heigl’s situation on September 19, saying that they “recognize that people have been harmed by the decisions of our members, and we are committed to engaging all communities in dialogue on these issues to do better in the future.”

However, despite their statement, the council is not able to “dictate our chapters’ membership or the process of selecting new members.”

Natalia Azoqa, an industrial engineer from Irvine, California is set to star on the upcoming season of the CBS hit reality show “Survivor: David vs. Goliath.” The 25-year-old is a member of the Goliath tribute on the season which is the 37th season of the long-running show.

Natalia lists her hobbies as fitness, reading, and game nights with family and friends.

She also has a unique personal story.

“My dad because he left Jordan to come to the U.S. when he was 18 years old with no parents or friends, yet he managed to become very successful for his family. He inspires me to be strong and to always strive to be better,” she told CBS.

A week after suspicious fires were being investigated at a Washington State Univesity fraternity house, the Pullman Police Department has released body camera footage of the fire.

According to reports, several fires were started outside of the Theta Chi fraternity house on Sunday, September 16. Police said that investigators found five separate ignition points near the Theta Chi fraternity house, including in the patio area and front of the house.

Following a brief investigation, 19-year-old Isaac Scott DePaolo was arrested and charged with first-degree arson.  He was also charged with two counts of second-degree arson for a dumpster fire and vehicle fire that were reported in the area and one count of unlawful entry into the vehicle to start the fire.

The fire destroyed a wooden deck behind the fraternity house and was one of several fires discovered around the brick structure on the 800 block of NE C Street, according to a PFD news release Sunday. The release stated several fraternity members were awakened around 5:15 a.m. by the sound of the deck fire. They called 911 and tried to extinguish the fire with a garden hose and worked to keep it from spreading to the structure.

According to court documents, DePaolo is a former Eastern Washington State University student who was angry about being kicked out a fraternity party on WSU’s Greek row. However, he claims he doesn’t remember because he was “intoxicated.”

Thankfully, the Theta Chi fraternity house was not damaged and no one was hurt in the fire.

Newly released footage shows exactly how out of control the fires were.

Sonoya Mizuno is a Japanese-born British actress, model and dancer who is best known for her roles in the films Ex Machina, Annihilation and the Netflix miniseries Maniac. Mizuno also appeared in the music video for The Chemical Brothers song “Wide Open”.

In addition to her starring roles, Mizuno has also appeared in La La Land, Beauty and the Beast and the 2018 romantic comedy Crazy Rich Asians.

While Mizuno was born in Tokyo, she was raised in Somerset, England, and began modeling when she was 20-years-old for brands such as Chanel, Alexander McQueen, Saint Laurent, and Louis Vuitton.

In 2019, Mizuno is set to appear in the films Ambition and The Domestics.

Bi Nguyen is set to be one of the cast members on the upcoming season of Survivor: David vs. Goliath. The 28-year-old is a member of the David tribute on the season which is the 37th season of the long-running show. Nguyen is one of 20 castaways who will appear on the show.

Nguyen, who hails from Houston, Texas, is a professional mixed martial arts fighter who goes by the nickname “KillHer Bee.”

Her favorite season of the show is season 35, which featured her favorite castaway, Ben, in the show’s history.

“My first season I watched was Season 35, Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers. I thought I could definitely dominate this experience and win. If I would’ve seen this show earlier, I would’ve applied years ago,” she told CBS leading up to the series premiere. “Ben from Season 35. I am physically strong, assertive, but quiet and observant as well.”

On Monday, Sept. 24, a group of students at the Yale University law school staged a sit-in in order to call for an investigation into sexual assault accusations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. Because of the sit-in, the Yale Law School was forced to cancel classes as students dressed in all-black sat in the hallway.

“Yale students holding a sit in this morning in the Law School building are seeking an investigation of sexual misconduct allegations against SCOTUS nominee Brett Kavanaugh, including one while he was a Yale student,” Rebecca Lurye of the Hartford Courant wrote online while sharing a video and photo of the sit-in. “The sit-in will be followed by a speak-out for Yale community members to share their thoughts and stories, before a walk-out at 1 pm into the YLS courtyard, which is hung with banners saying things like, ‘Prestige over people’ and ‘YSL rape culture.'”

A total of 31 law school classes were canceled, according to Shannon Miller of NBC Connecticut.

“Dozens of students sit in silence, wearing black demanding thorough look into accusations against Yale alumnus and Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. 31 law school classes have been cancelled today in light of protest,” she wrote.

The sit-in comes after a second report regarding Kavanaugh and sexual misconduct.

Earlier this month, a woman, Christine Blasey Ford, came forward and accused the Supreme Court judge nominee of assaulting her while in high school. On Sunday, Sept. 23, The New Yorker reported that a woman, Deborah Ramirez, claimed Kavanaugh exposed himself to her while they were students at Yale during the 1983-1984 academic year.

Deborah Ramirez accused Kavanaugh of exposing himself in front of her and causing her to touch his penis when she pushed him away during a party while the two were in college.

Kavanaugh has vehemently denied the allegations, claiming they are a “smear, plain and simple.”

Kara Kay is set to appear on the upcoming season of the CBS hit reality series “Survivor: David vs. Goliath.” The 30-year-old is a member of the Goliath tribe on the season which is the 37th season of the long-running show. Kay, a realtor and former NFL cheerleader from San Diego, Calif., is one of 20 castaways who will appear on the show.

Prior to the airing of the show, Kay found herself in some trouble because she broke her NDA by allowing herself to be featured in photos and videos of fellow contestant Alec Merlino on social media.

The trouble led to Alec having his $10,000 appearance fee withheld by producers of the show while also being uninvited from the taping of the season finale. However, Kara was not immediately punished for her appearance in the social media posts.

Despite the drama, Kara is hoping to emulate the game played by former Survivor winner Parvati Shallow.

To win one million dollars! It would be nice to help my dad get back on his feet for good; he ran a successful business until he lost it all in the recession. I helped support, but I could only do so much. I also want to step outside my comfort zone to prove I can do anything with the right mindset. This would really help carry out my mom’s legacy and make her really proud. I would also love to have a down payment for a house. I live in San Diego, one of the hottest real estate markets… and it’s expensive!

Why do you think you’ll “survive” Survivor? 
I am relentless. I don’t give up. I know how to get along and even make friends with all walks of life. I’m kind of a chameleon. I guess I’d consider myself pretty savvy and adept. I observe everything, yet have the ability to keep to myself if need be. I’m strong and focused, therefore could be a threat in challenges. Plus, I am not afraid to be cutthroat if I have to. In today’s world, I think you’d call that savage. My social game would be impressive, plus I could win over the jury with game tactics and strategy.

South Park, now heading into their 22nd season, has never been one to shy away from controversial issues and touchy subjects.

Whether it be about race, gun violence, gentrification, religion, addiction, pornography — you name it, and South Park has likely done it. And now they seem to be confronting one of our nation’s biggest problems head first: school shootings.

Based on the preview clip for the episode, the season 22 premiere of South Park, which is aptly titled “Dead Kids”, will seemingly revolve around a shoot shooting at South Park Elementary, the school that Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and the gang attend.

The official synopsis for “Dead Kids” — the 288th overall episode of the series — is as follows:

“Randy is desperate to help Sharon get her emotions under control and Cartman unexpectedly fails his math test.”

In typical South Park fashion, upon hearing that his son’s school was shot up, Randy lightly presses Stan on the issue before moving on to another issue, a clever way to highlight how Americans seem to deal with school shootings in real life.

“Who shot up the school? Was it you?” Randy asks. When Stan says it wasn’t him, Randy’s attention quickly returns to the failed math test, saying “Well, what’s this about failing a math quiz?”

The season 22 premiere of South Park, “Dead Kids” airs on Comedy Central on Wednesday, September 26 at 10 p.m. EST.

April Freeman, the Democratic candidate for the 17th District Congressional seat in Florida passed away unexpectedly. Her husband confirmed the news in a social media post on Monday, Sept. 24. Few details were known about her death at the time of the posting which came on her official Facebook page.

“It’s with great sadness that I feel I must inform all of you that my beloved wife April passed away suddenly last night,” her husband wrote in a Facebook post. “To all of her family and friends here on Facebook, my heart aches with you.”

Freeman was a film, television, and reality show producer with decades of experience. She also authored a series of children’s books and was working on other projects.

April Freeman Cause Of Death: Currently Unknown

No official cause of death for Freeman is known at this time. Freeman, who graduated from Yale’s Women’s Campaign School in 2013 died unexpectedly. Her husband took to social media on Monday, Sept. 24 to share the sad news.

Freeman was running for the vacated Congressional seat that previously belonged to Tom Rooney.

“April was a beautiful person. She worked tirelessly for veterans, seniors, and the entire community. We are heartbroken and send our condolences to her family and friends,” the Sarasota County Democratic Party wrote in a statement.

Freeman was set to be running against State Senator Greg Steube, who beat out two other candidates for the Republican nomination, but there is no word on what will happen with the race which is set to conclude on November 6 following Freeman’s sudden death.
