If you are a college student, Spotify has a special deal for you. The music streaming service is hoping to help college students cut costs by offering a special package which includes its Spotify Premium service at a discounted price.

If you sign up for Spotify Premium, the service will cost just 99 cents for the first three months, then $4.99 per month from there on. The offer includes access to Hulu and SHOWTIME’s streaming service.

If purchased separately, the three services would total nearly $30, making for a savings of up to $23.98/month.

Unfortunately, it is only available for college students who have not previously signed up for Spotify Premium.

In order to get the deal, students have to be enrolled in an accredited Title IX college or university. Spotify has a form where you can check and verify your eligibility for the deal.

According to Spotify, the student deal lasts for 12 months and you are able to re-verify your standing as a college student at the end of that period. If you are unable to verify you are still a student, you will then be bumped to the normal $9.99/month price and lose access to Hulu and Showtime.

You’ll continue to get access to Premium for Students, now with Hulu and SHOWTIME for up to 12 months from the date you subscribed, while it’s available. To remain a subscriber, students need to re-verify their eligibility once every 12 months, up to a maximum of 3 additional 12 month periods. If you’re unable to re-verify at the end of any 12 month period, you’ll no longer be eligible for Premium for Students. Your subscription will then switch to regular Spotify Premium at $9.99/month, and you’ll lose access to both Hulu and SHOWTIME. If you still want access to Hulu, you can subscribe to for just $12.99/month.

Enjoy your music, TV shows, and movies, everyone! Happy streaming.

YouTube/WorldStarHipHop

Machine Gun Kelly wants the world to know he is not afraid of Eminem. On Monday, Sept. 3, the Cleveland rapper released a scathing diss track “Rap Devil” directed at Slim Shady after Eminem dissed MGK on his surprise album Kamikaze last week.

Eminem fired a direct shot at Machine Gun Kelly, rapping:

“But next time you don’t gotta use Tech N9ne if you wanna come at me with a sub-machine gun / And I’m talking to you but you already know who the f*ck you are, Kelly / I don’t use sublims and sure as f*ck don’t sneak-diss / But keep commenting on my daughter Hailie.”

MGK took to Twitter to explain why he responded with a diss track of his own at one of the best battle rappers in history.

“Im standing up for not just myself, but my generation,” Kelly wrote. “im doing the same sh*t you did back in ur day. life is still real on my side, and i had to take time from the grind to defend myself from someone i called an idol. love, Rap Devil.”

You can listen to the track and check out the full lyrics below.

‘Rap Devil’ Audio & Lyrics

[Intro]

Oh my god, Ronny

[Verse 1]

Ayy somebody grab him some clippers (Zzz)
His f*cking beard is weird
Tough talk from a rapper paying millions for security a year
“I think my dad’s gone crazy,” yeah Hailie you right
Dad’s always mad cooped up in the studio yelling at the mic
You’re sober and bored, huh (I know)
About to be 46 years old, dog
Talkin’ bout “I’ma call up Trick Trick”
Man you sound like a b*tch, b*tch
Man up and handle your sh*t (Ugh)
Mad about something I said in 2012
Took you six years and a surprise album just to come with a diss
Homie we get it, we know that you’re the greatest rapper alive
F*cking dweeb, all you do is read the dictionary and stay inside
F*ck Rap God, I’m the Rap Devil
Coming bare-faced with a black shovel
Like the Armageddon when the smoke settle
His body next to this instrumental
I’m saying

[Chorus]

I’m sick of them sweatsuits and them corny hats, let’s talk about it
I’m sick of you being rich and you still mad, let’s talk about it
Both of us single dads from the Midwest, we can talk about it
Or we could get gully I’ll size up your body and put some white chalk around it

[Verse 2]

Let’s talk about the fact you actually blackballed a rapper that’s twice as young as you (Let’s talk about it)
Let’s call Sway, ask why I can’t go on Shade 45 because of you (Brr)
Let’s ask Interscope how you had Paul Rosenberg trying to shelf me (Huh?)
Still can’t cover up the fact your last four albums is as bad as your selfie
Now tell me, what do you stand for? (What?)
I know you can’t stand yourself (No)
Trying to be the old you so bad you Stan yourself (Ha)
Let’s leave all the beefing to 50 (Please)
Em you’re pushing 50
Why you claiming that I’ma call Puff?
When you the one that called Diddy (Facts)
Then you went and called Jimmy (Facts)
They conference called me in the morning (What?)
They told me you mad about a tweet
You wanted me to say sorry (What?)
I swear to God I ain’t believed him (Nah)
Please say it ain’t so (No)
The big bad bully of the rap game can’t take a f*cking joke
Oh you want some f*cking smoke (What?)
But not literally, you’ll choke
Yeah I’ll acknowledge you’re the GOAT
But I’m The Gunner, b*tch, I got you in the scope (Brra)
Don’t have a heart attack now (No)
Somebody help your mans up (Help)
Knees weak of old age
The real Slim Shady can’t stand up

[Chorus]

I’m sick of them sweatsuits and them corny hats, let’s talk about it
I’m sick of you being rich and you still mad, let’s talk about it
Both of us single dads from the Midwest, we can talk about it
Or we could get gully I’ll size up your body and put some white chalk around it

[Verse 3]

Hello Marshall, my name’s Colson
You should go back to Recovery
I know your ego is hurting just knowing that all of your fans discovered me (Hi)
He like “Damn, he a younger me
Except he dresses better and I’m ugly
Always making fun of me”
Stop all the thuggery Marshall, you living in luxury (Damn)
Look what you done to me, dropped an album just because of me
Damn, you in love with me
You got money but I’m hungry
I like the diss but you won’t say those lyrics out in front of me
Shout out to every rapper that’s up under me
Know that I’ll never do you like this f*ckery
Still bitter after everyone loves you
Pull that wedgie out your dungarees (Hey)
I gotta respect the OGs and I know most of ’em personally (Aye)
But you’re just a bully acting like a baby so I gotta read you a nursery (Nursery)
I’m the ghost of the future and you’re just Ebenezer Scrooge (Facts)
I said on Flex, anyone could get it
I ain’t know it would be you

[Chorus]
I’m sick of them sweatsuits and them corny hats, let’s talk about it
I’m sick of you being rich and you still mad, let’s talk about it
Both of us single dads from the Midwest, we can talk about it
Or we could get gully I’ll size up your body and put some white chalk around it

[Bridge]

Riding shotty cause I gotta roll this dope
It’s a fast road when your idols become your rivals
Never hesitate to say it to your face, I’m an asshole
B*tch ass motherf*cker
Oh my god, Ronny

[Verse 4]

We know you get nervous, Rabbit
I see momma’s spaghetti all over your sweater
I wish you would lose yourself on the record that you made a decade ago, they were better
According to them you’re a national treasure
To me you’re as soft as a feather
The type to be scared to ask Rihanna for her number, just hold her umbrella-ella-ella
“I’m not afraid,” okay Oscar the Grouch, chill on the couch (F***)
You got an Oscar, damn can anyone else get some food in their mouth? (For real)
They made a movie about you, you’re in everybody’s top ten
You’re not getting better with time
It’s fine Eminem, put down the pen
Or write an apology about the simple fact you had to write a diss to acknowledge me
I am the prodigy, how could I even look up to you
You ain’t as tall as me
5’8″ and I’m 6’4″
Seven punches hold your head still
Last time you saw 8 Mile was at home on a treadmill
You were named after a candy
I was named after a gangster (brr)
And don’t be a sucker and take my verse off of Yelawolf’s album, thank you (Thank you)
I just wanna feed my daughter
You tried to stop the money to support her
You the one always talk about the action
Text me the addy, I’m pulling up scrappy
And I’m by f*

F*cking myself, what’s happenin’?
EST captain, salute me or shoot me
That’s what he’s gonna have to do to me when he realizes there ain’t sh*t he could do to me
Everybody always hated me, this isn’t anything new to me
Yeah there’s a difference between us, I got all of my sh*t without Dre producing me (Aye)
I know you’re not used to me
Usually one of your disses should ruin me
But b*tch I’m from Cleveland, everybody quiet this evening, I’m reading the eulogy (Shh)
Dropped an album called Kamikaze, so that means it killed him
Already f*cked one rapper’s girl this week, don’t make me call Kim

[Chorus]

I’m sick of them sweatsuits and them corny hats, let’s talk about it
I’m sick of you being rich and you still mad, let’s talk about it
Both of us single dads from the Midwest, we can talk about it
Or we could get gully I’ll size up your body and put some white chalk around it

Paige VanZant Cleared To Return For UFC’s ESPN Debut

Michael Wright/WENN.com

Paige VanZant has been cleared to fight. The UFC women’s flyweight standout has been out of action since suffering a broken arm in a January 2018 loss to Jessica-Rose Clark. “12 Gauge” underwent multiple surgeries to repair her fractured arm, but the 24-year-old has since been cleared to return after her most recent visit to the doctors.

VanZant announced the news on her new YouTube page.

“The verdict is I can go for it,” VanZant said in a video blog. “I can punch people again – well I’m not able to punch people yet – but in like six weeks I can punch people. But I can start training and working out again and I’m going to be fighting in January.”

The timetable for VanZant’s return works out perfectly, especially with recent rumors suggesting she could be returning at a yet-to-be-announced UFC event on Jan. 18, 2019. That event will mark the UFC’s debut event on ESPN after the two companies agreed to a broadcasting deal earlier this year.

VanZant’s rumored opponent for the ESPN debut is fellow flyweight Rachel Ostovich.

With two marketable fighters like VanZant and Ostovich fighting on ESPN, there would be maximum exposure as the UFC looks to continue building its women’s flyweight division and shaping its next wave of superstars.

After bursting onto the scene in November 2014, winning four straight under the UFC banner including three finishes, VanZant has hit a few stumbling blocks. She has lost three of her last four — including two submission losses to current women’s strawweight champion Rose Namajunas and Michelle Waterson — with her lone win being over Bec Rawlings. Despite her struggles in the cage, VanZant remains one of the top stars in the UFC’s women’s divisions thanks to a run to the finals on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars and a win on Food Network’s Chopped. Her crossover appeal is huge, and at 24-years-old she is still just getting started.

Colton Underwood is really desperate for love. Underwood, a former NFL player, was first a cast member on The Bachelorette before taking some time out to look for love on Bachelor in Paradise. Now, the 26-year-old is hoping the third time is a charm as the star of season 23 of The Bachelor.

Underwood was announced as “The Bachelor” during Good Morning America on Tuesday, Sept. 4.

As The Bachelor, Underwood will have his pick of at least 25 young women who are also looking for love. As a contestant on The Bachelorette, which starred Becca Kufrin, Underwood finished in fifth place. On Bachelor in Paradise, he briefly was linked to fellow contestant Tia Booth, but the two broke it off.

Prior to becoming a reality show star, Underwood made national headlines when he used social media to ask USA gymnast Aly Raisman for a date. Underwood successfully made his shot and dated Raisman for a few months before they ultimately split.

And even before that, he was no stranger to the spotlight.

Underwood, an Indianapolis, Indiana native, played college football for the Illinois State Redbirds. He went on to be signed by the San Diego Chargers as an undrafted free agent before being waived a few months later. Then, he was signed to the Philadelphia Eagles’ practice squad. That was also a short stint, which led to a return to the Chargers where he joined their practice squad and ultimately signed a future contract. The following year, he was placed on injured reserve and waived. He briefly appeared on the Oakland Raiders practice squad which was his last NFL gig.

We will next see Colton Underwood when the new season of The Bachelor premieres in January 2019.

The bookstore at one college in Washington is set to receive a major upgrade. Olympic College in Bremerton, Washington announced it will be handing over operation duties of its bookstore to Barnes & Noble beginning in October. The bookstore will be run by Barnes & Noble College Booksellers LLC — related to Barnes & Noble Inc. — because President Marty Cavalluzzi believes the company will be able to operate the bookstore better while providing lower book costs to students.

“We are pleased to sign an agreement with Barnes & Noble College Booksellers that provides the same level of services our students expect from the college,” Cavalluzzi said, via the Kitsap Sun. “By partnering with Barnes & Noble Booksellers, we benefit from numerous incentives, programs and profit-sharing that only a company of this scale can offer.”

Through the deal, Barnes & Noble will provide $80,000 in upgrades to the bookstore — including furniture and equipment — while also spending $75,000 to replace cash registers and install a new system.

Current bookstore employees can apply to become employees of Barnes & Noble if they wish to keep their job.

The Kitsap Sun provided further details on the deal:

The contract, effective Oct. 30, includes a guaranteed payment of $350,000 to OC in the first year. Profit-sharing guarantees in years two through five are 12 percent of gross sales up to $3 million or 13 percent of gross sales over $3 million, according to a news release from the college.

Barnes & Noble College Booksellers LLC currently manages more than 780 campus bookstores across the country.

University Of Florida Suspends Delta Chi For Alcohol-Related Hazing

The University of Florida has suspended the Delta Chi fraternity for an alleged alcohol-related hazing incident that happened during the spring 2018 semester.

According to a statement from University of Florida spokesman Steve Orlando, Delta Chi has been under a “limited activity directive” since February.

Orlando stated that the university’s Greek Conduct Committee found the Delta Chi brothers “participated in a coordinated effort to cover up their actions and put a new member’s life in jeopardy, as he was hospitalized in critical condition.”

via The Gainsville Sun:

The university’s Dean of Students, Heather White, sent a letter to the president of the Florida chapter of the fraternity, informing the group of the suspension.

“The ruling from the Dean of Students is pending the appeal process,” Orlando wrote. “The chapter has 10 business days to appeal the ruling once a ruling letter is issued. The ruling is final, once the appeal process is complete.”

UF has 26 fraternities with more than 2,500 members and 17 sororities with more than 4,000 members. That’s about 12.5 percent of UF’s 52,000 students.

This is the latest major fraternity or sorority investigation, suspension or closure in the last year, as schools such as Indiana University, the University of Michigan, Ohio State University, Texas State, Florida State, Ball State, Louisiana State and Penn State have all suspended fraternities in the wake of hazing and alcohol deaths.

These reports come amidst similar allegations that have been made against fraternities nationwide, including Sigma Alpha Epsilon at East Carolina University, who was shut down for hazing and the Lambda Chi Alpha chapter at the University of Arkansas which has been accused of taking sexually explicit photographs of women without their permission.

In response to incidents like these, fraternities such Phi Kappa Psi have made numerous changes to their code of conduct in an effort to address the issues that have arisen. In addition, schools such as Texas State, West Virginia University, and Penn State University have introduced new Greek Life rules to try and prevent these problems.

Sigma Chi At The University Of Kentucky Suspended For “Violating University Policy”

The University of Kentucky has suspended the Sigma Chi fraternity for reportedly violating the university’s code of conduct policy. The chapter has been suspended for a year after a university investigation found that the chapter violated university policies.

The university did not specify what policies the fraternity violated.

According to a statement from University of Kentucky spokesperson Jay Blanton, “after an investigation that included cooperation from the international organization and the local chapter, the chapter accepted responsibility and the University of Kentucky’s Hearing Board has placed them on a one-year suspension effective immediately.”

This is just the latest Sigma Chi chapter to be suspended or banned in the last year, following similar incidents at the University of Pittsburgh, Radford University, Rutgers University, and more.

via Kentucky Kernel:

According to the UK Interfraternity Council’s recruitment booklet, Sigma Chi had 100 members this year. The fraternity’s house is listed at 447 Pennsylvania Avenue and sits on the corner of Pennsylvania and Columbia Avenue across the street from the William T. Young Library’s northside parking lots.

The chapter was previously put on disciplinary probation at the beginning of the spring 2016 semester until the fall 2017 semester for alcohol and hazing violations, UK’s Office of Student Conduct website shows. It is unclear if those violations are related.

Sinead McNamara: Full Story & Must-See Details Of IG Model

Instagram Photo

Australian Instagram model Sinead McNamara was found dead from an apparent suicide on a yacht off the coast of Greece on Friday, August 31, 2018, leaving her thousands of fans devastated and local authorities puzzled. McNamara was working as a stewardess aboard Mexican mining tycoon Alberto Baillères’ $190 million yacht Mayan Queen IV, which was anchored off the Greek island of Kefalonia at the time of her death. A member of the boat’s crew found the body of the deceased Australian beauty tangled in nautical ropes on the rear deck of the yacht early Friday morning. McNamara was attended to by a doctor on board the ship, but she died in a helicopter en route to an Athens hospital.

What Happened?

As has become commonplace in the modern lifestyle of the rich and famous, billionaires all over the world are hiring Instagram models to serve as eye candy aboard luxury yachts, private jets, and other examples big business debauchery. This venture turned deadly for Alberto Baillères, as he learned early Friday morning when Sinead McNamara’s body was found amidst a web of ropes on the back of his massive yacht. Though Baillerès was reportedly not on board at the time of McNamara’s death, the boat was under investigation by Greek authorities, preventing him from leaving port until Monday, September 4. A Greek coroner confirmed that the cause of death was hanging, but no other details have been discovered thus far. It is believed that this was a suicide, as McNamara had been seen talking intimately with various members of the crew in the hours leading up to her death. Sources speculate that a break up with her boyfriend may have been the impetus for her suicidal actions, but nothing has been confirmed so far.

Who is Sinead McNamara?

Sinead McNamara was a 20-year-old Australian Instagram model who, before her death, had reportedly been working on the Mayan Queen IV as a crew member for four months. Originally from Port Macquarie, New South Wales, McNamara had amassed a following of around 14,000 Instagram followers before her death. Her sister and mother were reportedly on their way to Greece to visit her when McNamara allegedly took her own life. Though early reports suggest no foul play, Greek authorities are examining this case to officially determine the circumstances of Sinead McNamara’s death.

This tragic story serves as a sobering reminder that external validation can be antithetical to inner peace.

Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court confirmation hearing is underway, but it is Zina Bash who is stealing the show. She was called out for being unprofessional, being seen rolling her eyes and even mocking senators at times.

Bash is a lawyer who is part of the Kavanaugh confirmation team.

“Does Zina Bash realize she will forever be remembered as the woman behind #BrettKavanaugh mocking senators,” one Twitter user wrote, “mouthing words like ‘stupid’ and making disgusting faces that are seriously disrespectful?”

Along with her job on Kavanaugh’s confirmation team, Bash has a job in the White House as “Special Assistant to the President for regulatory reform, legal and immigration policy.” Despite her status and lengthy career in Washington, she has remained relatively unknown — at least to the Twitter world — and her actions during the hearing were not playing well to those watching at home.

Watching the hearing &people are getting THROWN OUT every few minutes…EVERY time they kick one out, another speaks up. God bless those people! This is shocking. Not sure who the woman behind kavanaugh is but I have a desire to punch her face.Hard. #StopKavanaugh pic.twitter.com/gn9UWCWHx6

Bash previously clerked for Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito.

The Domestic Policy Council and her husband have a daughter together, Maria Izabella, who goes by Mabel. The 35-year-old Bash, who is bilingual, says she ends her work days singing to her daughter in Spanish and being apart from her is the hardest part of her White House job.

“Though I miss Mabel tremendously during the day, I have felt that — because I’m part of a team working every day to improve the welfare, safety and security of the country she will grow up in — I’m doing this for her,” Bash said, via the Hill.

We will have to see if she continues generating attention throughout the confirmation proceedings.

From a young age, Ashley Benson seemed to be born into the spotlight. Ashley was born in California, as a middle child, in 1989. As there is a common notion of being a forgotten middle child, Benson made sure she immediately got noticed starting to dance competitively at 3 and modeling at 8. Unlike many other rising child stars, Ashley Benson did not let the pressure get to her and elegantly controlled her rise to fame.

Who is Ashley Benson?

While starting off as a ballet, jazz, and hip-hop dancer, Ashley became a model for Ford Modelling Agency which is how Benson’s career really took off. Ashley Benson’s modeling career got her into acting by leading into becoming part of the regular cast of Days of Our Lives. At the same time, she got her big break on the big screen with 13 going on 30 in 2004. However, when she got her role as Carson in Bring it On: In It to Win It, Ashley made a big decision to end her contract with Days of Our Lives. This decision propelled her acting career by landing her next role with Lifetime on the original film Fab Five: The Texas Cheerleader Scandal in 2008. In the same year, Ashley got a supporting role in Bart Got a Room which aired in film festivals.

Instagram Photo

After 2008, Benson started to become a regular on television shows starting with Eastwick, based on the novel The Witches of Eastwick, which only ran for a season. However, since the ending of the show, the popularity of the show has skyrocketed gaining a cult-like following. In 2009, Ashley Benson landed a leading role in the TV series Pretty Little Liars lasting from 2010 to 2017. Pretty Little Liars was also based on a novel series written by Sara Shepard. In that same time period, Benson appeared in many different shows including- Christmas Cupid, Punk’d, How I Met Your Mother, Ravenswood, Family Guy, and Barely Famous.

While she was filming for her television shows, Ashley still kept making appearances in movies but not as consistently. In 2012, Benson was in Spring Breakers and Time Warriors and took some time off before starting in her next film. Ashley Benson starred in an independent film Ratter and a major film Pixels in 2015. Followed by Elvis & Nixon and Chronically Metropolitan in 2016 and2017 respectively. Moving on to the new creative and boundaries Ashley has taken to directing. Benson is now focused on directing a spin-off of Pretty Little Liars called Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists, which is set to air in2019.

Ashley Benson seems to be moving on to bigger and better things all the while widening her horizons. She has shown promise from such a young age and is plowing ahead towards the future. Benson has somehow managed to keep her acting career flourishing and maintain being a model for Ford Modeling Agency, which is a feat in it of itself, what a woman!

Zina Bash Net Worth 2018: How Much Is Zina Bash Worth?

Zina Bash, a member of Brett Kavanaugh’s team for his Supreme Court confirmation hearing, was the talk of the internet when the hearings began on Tuesday, Sept. 4. Bash was seated directly behind Kavanaugh and cameras caught her rolling her eyes and appearing annoyed while senators delivered their questions.

But while Bash was relatively new to the social media world, she is well-known in Washington, D.C.

Bash, who was named to The Hill’s 50 Most Beautiful list in 2017, is married to U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Texas John Bash III. She is listed as a “law clerk this month for Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh.” She also holds a White House job as a special assistant for regulatory reform, legal and immigration policy.

Oh, and she is filthy rich.

How much money has Bash earned throughout her career? Let’s take a look.

Zina Bash Net Worth: Between $1.8 million & $6.75 million

“The young heiress reports [as much as] $18 million in assets, generating passive income of over $1 million last year…. [B]ut instead of using her wealth and connections to sit on a beach, she is using it to immerse herself in conservative politics, first as deputy director of policy for Ted Cruz and now for Trump’s White House,” a tipster told Above the Law.

However, an update to their report showed more modest findings:

UPDATE (9:40 p.m.): Alas, it seems our tipster misread Bash’s disclosure. Item 6 under “Other Assets and Income” is the Zina Gelman Bash 2015 Investment Trust, which contains items 6.1, 6.11, 6.12, and 6.13. So her total assets are actually somewhere between $1.8 million and $6.75 million, and they generate passive income of $350,000. So not an eight-figure fortune — but still not bad for someone in her mid-thirties!

Expert NFL Predictions With Tiki Barber

Injuries, record-breaking stats, and all the new aggressive offensive playcalling schemes have led the NFL to a place that the stars from yesterday’s game could have never seen coming. Of course, the advancements in technology have also played their role in this evolution, but the NFL is now one of the fastest paced and dangerous games in the world. On a different side, the national football league has also become a platform for players to have their voice heard. In the following interview with NFL legend Tiki Barber, we discuss everything from expectations for the upcoming season to issues such as the national anthem conundrum and the new hitting rule. Along with those pressing questions, we also had the opportunity to talk to Tiki about his partnership with POWERADE, and which athletes he would send his sympathy cards too. View more information on the POWERADE sympathy cards.

Here is COEDs in-depth conversation with Tiki Barber:

Instagram Photo

Max: What are your feelings about kneeling during the national anthem?

Tiki: “It’s something that I would have never done. It’s mainly because I am a product from the 9/11 era in New York City. The story has been told many times, but the twin towers fell and living in New York City, our practice field also looked at the World Trade Center site and we saw the towers and the smoke for a couple of days, but we also saw the healing power of coming together and that was no more evident in our game against Kansas City, our first game post 9/11. When they played the national anthem, it hit me in ways that I could never imagine. I’ve heard the national anthem thousands of times, but never listened to it the way that I did that day. So I wouldn’t kneel for the national anthem because of what it means to me, but I understand the issue it has faced and it does need to evolve and it slowly is.”

Instagram Photo

Max: What is your take on the new hit rule involving leaning with helmets considering all the scrutiny it has received throughout the preseason?

Tiki: “Well there has definitely been negativity from a perception standpoint, but it’s more of a confusion issue for the players. There is a natural instinct for human beings more over living creatures to duck when danger is near. Being able to control that specifically so that you don’t lean with your head is something that is hard to do and so the NFL has made some adjustments although they haven’t officially made adjustments to judge intent and the hard part about that is the question of how do you judge intent? The reasoning behind this rule is to protect players and even if it is overcalled in the preseason, it creates this perception in their mind that it is going to be called a penalty.”

Instagram Photo

Max: How does the reality show Hard Knocks effect player’s actions knowing that the cameras are on them at all times. Or would you say to a certain degree that the show is fixed?

Tiki: “Well I think that there is some manufactured drama, but it’s also real and it shows some of the hardships and the nature of the sport. Yes, it may be something that is created for television, but it is something that is relatively on point. If you are not at your best, then coaches will have their way with you. I like Hard Knocks but I always take it with a grain of salt because I know an event can happen one day, but it can be positioned as happening another day for the purposes of entertainment.”

Instagram Photo

Max: If you were playing in today’s game that is centered around an aerial-attack approach for offensives schemes, do you think you would be a better fit, where running backs are tasked with more receptions along with the ability to pass protect?

Tiki: “I think I could fit in today’s game quite well because those were the things I did when I was playing a decade ago. I did catch a lot of passes and was able to be utilized in different ways for the offense. I think running backs have to be able to do that these days. They can’t just be one-trick ponies because you become more of a liability to your offense versus the guys who can do that. So yeah, I could have played in this type of system and I would have enjoyed it, to be honest with you.”

Instagram Photo

Max: After reading your books about you and your brother Rondae, what led you guys to play different positions, especially considering you guys were roughly the exact same build. When you look at siblings that are playing the game today, they tend to play the same position; for example, the Watt brothers are both pass rushers, three out of the four Fullers are corners, so where did the differentiation come from for you and Rondae.

Tiki: “It was really just a way for our coaches from keeping us from teeing at the same position and effectively using the athleticism that we brought to the table. Rondae played cornerback because he was actually a better athlete than I was so he could do more things while I was a runner. I was always the runner because I was always the fastest kid on the team.”

Instagram Photo

Max: What teams do you see finding success this year that are being completely thrown under the radar right now?

Tiki: “I think Arizona has a chance to do so. They’ve completely remade their offensive line and their new head coach Steven Wilks is a stickler for details and teams that have veteran leaders like they do, Larry Fitzgerald among others will respond well to that. Another team that still may be a couple years away is the Chicago Bears. I really like what they are doing with their defense and Roquan Smith was a great pick for them to get back to what was traditionally their strength which is defense.”

Instagram Photo

Max: Which rookie quarterbacks do you think could make the biggest noise this year?

Tiki: “Baker is going to great once they are ready to hand him the keys. I think Sam Darnold is going to be good as well because he has a calmness about him and the ability to not care, which is good because you can’t get too high or too low, you just have to keep moving forward. I’m excited to see him in New York because I think he has a demeanor to him that will allow him to handle the pressure of fans in New York along with the media. But I really love Baker Mayfield because he is such a great athlete and such a great playmaker.”

Instagram Photo

Max: During your time at Virginia, could you name three iconic moments where players would have been worthy of receiving the apology cards?

Tiki: “The first would go to Warrick Dunn. We were playing against Florida State on a Thursday night in 1995 and Florida State was the number one ranked team in the country and we ended up beating them by five points. Warrick came about an inch away from scoring the game-winning touchdown, but he didn’t so I would say I am sorry because that ruined their chances of winning a national championship. It was a great day for me because I had 311 all-purpose yards.

Instagram Photo

The second one I would send would go to Ricky Williams. After beating us by three at Texas in the year prior, they came to Virginia and it was pouring rain and I scored three touchdowns in the first quarter and our defense beat the crap out of Ricky and held him to around 60 yards.

Instagram Photo

The last one would go to the University of Georgia. We were playing them in the Peach Bowl, that took place in Georgia and I would send this one to Hines Ward. Hines was a wide receiver at Georgia, but in that game, he was forced to play quarterback because all their quarterbacks were hurt, and he actually played pretty well. It came down to the last quarter of the game and Hines led them to a game-tying touchdown drive with about five seconds left in the game. On the ensuing kickoff, Pete Allen, who was our return man at the time, took the kickoff all the way back for a touchdown. So I would send the apology to Hines Ward for beating them in the Peach Bowl in Georgia! In front of their home fans!”
