Enimem Grows Beard: Internet Reactions On Slim Shady's Beard

Christopher Polk/Getty Images for MTV

Coming out of nowhere, Eminem is back with a brand new album. On August 31st, Eminem dropped Kamikaze, the follow up to 2017’s Revival.

Kamikaze was published by Interscope and Shady Records and it seems that Eminem recorded and released this album as a response to everyone that disliked, or downright hated, Revival. Unfortunately for him, most people didn’t like that album as it received poor reviews.

The album is an angry, visceral response in which Eminem goes in on not just his critics, but also fellow rappers and, of course, President Donald Trump. With lyrics like: “sent the Secret Service to meet in person / To see if I really think of hurtin’ him / Or ask if I’m linked to terrorists and “I empathise with the people this evil serpent sold the dream to that he’s deserted.”

Shady makes it no secret how much he hates our current President.

Get all the info you need on Kamikaze below, including a full tracklist and listening details.

Florida Friday: All Of This Week’s Headlines From America’s Most Interesting State

Oh, Florida — like our wives and girlfriends, we can’t live with you, but we certainly couldn’t live without you. You are like the Drunk Uncle in the family that is the United States of America: you mean well & have a good heart, but show up to the party already hammered and then tell Cousin Derek to go f*ck himself before you fall face first through the all-glass living room coffee table. You’re a wildcard, but you’re our wildcard, and we love ya for it.

For some reason, though, more than any other state in the union, Florida has an uncanny knack of churning out the most preposterous headlines you’ve ever heard of.

“Homeless Man Engages in Sword Fight with Alligator”

“Pink-Haired Couple Rob Bank Armed Only with String Cheese”

“Party Clown Arrested for Smoking Crack in Front of Children”

Are these real stories? Did I just make these headlines up? Who knows. I guess you’ll have to Google it. Either way, the point is they sound real and that’s because in Florida, literally, anything is possible, even the most bizarre.

Okay, I’ll admit, the headlines above you are fake, but the ones below are entirely real, and that’s what makes Florida so Florida: you cannot tell the difference between what’s real and what’s not because it all sounds so wildly ridiculous.

“Teen Bites the Head Off Live Chicken”

“Elementary School Teacher Arrested For Selling Marijuana”

“Police Searching For Cross-Dresser Who Keeps Leaving Underwear On Random Cars”

“Man Causes $100K in Damage at Local Walmart, Blames ‘Hookah Smoking Caterpillar'”

“Teacher Placed on Leave For Drowning Racoons in Class”

“Woman Poses as Federal Agent to Score Free Chick-Fil-A”

“This Chainsaw Wielding Nun is the Hero Florida Deserves Right Now”

“Man Whips Out Samurai Sword During Road Rage Incident”

“Teacher Suspended For Allowing Students to Hook Up in Class”

Needless to say, you get our point: Florida is a mad, mad place.

So with that in mind, we’ve decided to do a weekly round-up of all the headlines from America’s Bastard Son of a State … the only and only Florida.

Florida Headlines of the Week

– Florida man arrested after giving ‘wet willy’ to girlfriend

– Florida man says 150-pound lizard visitor stalks his home

– Florida woman sets fire to estranged husband’s home

– Florida man tells cop ‘That’s What She Said’ after being pulled over and questioned about bulge

West Virginia Mountaineers 2018-19: Predictions & Preview

After maintaining a top ten offense in the country, even after star quarterback Will Grier went down, the West Virginia Mountaineers are poised for big things in the 2018 season. Head coach Dana Holgerson inherits his best roster in over half a decade, but with limited depth and a nightmarish schedule, anything is really in the cards for 2018. If they can do the almighty and avoid the injury bug because they just can’t afford it at any position, 10 wins and a bowl game in January is foreseeable.

2018-19 Summary

Instagram Photo

With talent and star power across the board, Dana Holgerson is going to be under the spotlight with big expectations for the 2018 season. Will Grier may be the best quarterback in the entire country, but with that is coming to come unfair scrutiny and plethora of media attention. It will be important for Holgerson to keep his guys composed as they try to bring back the magic that led them to the Orange Bowl in the 2012 season. Assuming the Mountaineers can maintain stability in the health department, this is undoubtedly coach Holgerson’s most talented group since the run in 2012. Although they possess all the talent in the world, the schedule is a nightmare. Tennesse and NC State are as tough as out-of-conference games get, and with the Big 12 looking loaded on paper this year, the Mountaineers have win range that could go anywhere from six to 11. In this hypothesis, we are going to avoid any key injuries which should give West Virginia a good shot at being 8-0 heading into the week 10 matchup against Texas. The Longhorns also hold big expectations this year and could be a legitimate playoff contender, so we give them the slight edge over WVU. After that, the stretch of TCU, Oklahoma State, and Oklahoma will determine if WVU is going to a New Years Six bowl are hardly bowl eligible. The power of the schedule cannot be ignored.

Record: Wins, Losses

Week 1: West Virginia 45, Tennessee 35 (W)
Week 2: West Virginia 49, Youngstown State 20 (W)
Week 3: West Virginia 31, NC State 30 (W)
Week 4: West Virginia 35, Kansas State 24 (W)
Week 5: West Virginia 28, Texas Tech 23 (W)
Week 6: West Virginia 42, Kansas 14 (W)
Week 7: West Virginia 35, Iowa State 28 (W)
Week 8: Bye
Week 9: West Virginia 33, Baylor 17 (W)
Week 10: West Virginia 24, Texas 35 (L)
Week 11: West Virginia 27, TCU 21 (W)

This ‘Godzilla’-Style Trailer For ‘Infinity War’ Is GUARANTEED To Give You Goosebumps

Back at San Diego Comic-Con in July, Warner Bros. dropped the trailer for Godzilla: King of the Monsters on everyone, surprising many with how truly excellent it was (the trailer, the film TBD.)

The third film in Warner Bros. “MonsterVerse” (sigh), Godzilla: King of the Monsters follows 2014’s Godzilla and 2017’s Kong: Skull Island.

While the first Godzilla was decent and Kong: Skull Island was certifiably enjoyable, no one out there was necessarily clamoring for more films in the MonsterVerse any time soon.

Until this stunning trailer, that is:

Will the actual movie be as dope as this trailer? Doubtful! But who cares! Trailers are an art form in and of themselves and this one right here deserves an Academy Award for trailer-making.

Clearly inspired, YouTube user CarpenterSound — who’s known for these kinds of edits — made a Godzilla-style trailer for the undeniably epic Avengers: Infinity War and buddy, let me tell you, it’s guaranteed to give you this chills.

In all seriousness, if you watch any viral videos today, let this be the one:

The conclusion of Thanos’ story will come when the still-untitled Avengers 4 hits theaters on May 3, 2019, while Godzilla: King Of Monsters is set to be released on May 31, 2019.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to take on a professional mixed martial artist? Well, Micah Weiner is going to find out first-hand. The Touching Base” producer has trained for 12 weeks at Onnit HQ in Austin, Texas and now he is set to compete in a fight against a pro.

It’s taking pros vs. Joes to the next level.

Weiner will be fighting Onnit coach and pro fighter Sean Clements to conclude a “Chump to Champ” docu-series.

Onnit partnered with Grandex for the series which will culminate with the fight on Aug. 31. Weiner and Clement will face off for two fights — one kickboxing and one jiu-jitsu match.

The first fight will be a traditional kickboxing match with three 3-minute rounds. After a brief intermission, the two come back for three 3-minute grappling rounds. Don’t worry, though, there will be some slight handicaps to even the playing field for Weiner when he steps into the cage.

You can watch the fight free at Onnit.com/live, with the first fight set to begin at approximately 9:00 p.m. ET.

In the meantime, check out Weiner’s journey from “Chump to Champ” below.

If you’ve ever listened to Eminem, you’ve heard him namedrop his daughter, Hailie Scott, throughout the years. But what you may not have known is that the rap star’s now 23-year-old daughter is an absolute smoke show.

Scott, who graduated from Michigan State University, is the only biological of Eminem’s with ex-wife Kim Mathers.

But if you were hoping to shoot your shot with Eminem’s daughter, better luck next time. Hailie has been dating fellow Michigan State student Evan McClintock for more than two years.

And while she may have stunning looks, don’t expect to see Hailie living in the spotlight anytime soon despite plenty of offers to blossom into a social media influencer.

“I’m not sure yet, it’s kind of up in the air,” Hailie said, via Entertainment Tonight. “People have been reaching out through [Instagram]. Not so much [by] magazines, but companies who work with them.”

Ariana Grande’s Dress At Aretha Franklin’s Funeral Upset People (But Not Bill Clinton)

Twitter

Ariana Grande was one of the many celebrities who helped honor the legendary Aretha Franklin at her funeral on Friday, Aug. 31. Grande performed the Aretha Franklin hit “Natural Woman” during the ceremony, but it wasn’t her vocals that generated the most attention.

Instead, it was Grande’s dress that had people up in arms.

Grande was wearing a short dress that showed off her legs and people on Twitter immediately began throwing a fit over a perceived “lack of respect.” One person even took the time to pen an article for the Houston Chronicle which was titled, “Ariana Grande’s dress shows lack of respect at Aretha’s funeral.”

The author wrote, “Someone forgot to tell Ariana Grande about appropriate funeral attire at today’s services for Aretha Franklin. Though she sang “Natural Woman” with soul, the Twitterverse wasn’t kind about her dress.”

Here is a look at Grande’s dress, which Bill Clinton didn’t seem to mind.

— Just Shauna (@OpulentBravado) August 31, 2018

“I feel personally victimized by Ariana Grande’s attire. She didn’t get the memo on Black Church dress standards. She is not wearing a hat and her hem is not passed her knee. Her makeup is also not saintly,” another Twitter user wrote. “Somebody escort her and that ponytail out, please.”

Another added, “It’s freaking insane, Hilary and Bill. 100 pink Cadillacs, but dear God, is Ariana Grande not aware of the occasion she is going to. She is in the shortest dress, maybe it’s also my bias, socialization, and cultural viewpoint, I was rather shocked.”

As for the performance itself, it was actually pretty good.

Pearl Gonzalez, a MMA fighter out of Chicago, Illinois, is no stranger to mixed martial arts. Now, after competing in the UFC and making the move to Invicta FC, Gonzalez is hoping to earn a title shot.

Oklahoma Sooners Football 2018-19: Predictions & Preview

$

Instagram Photo

When Bob Stoops left Oklahoma in the summer of 2017, a lot of question marks rose for one of the most talented teams in the country. Not to mention star quarterback Baker Mayfield’s embarrassing encounter with the police. Nonetheless, Lincoln Riley was able to put all the nonsense aside and start the season with a bang that included a stomp down of Ohio State, the number two team in the country at the time. After one more bump in the road, that included a head-scratching loss to Iowa State, Oklahoma grinded its way to a 12-1 season, that ended with a loss in the first round of the college football playoff. With a minimal drop off in overall roster talent for the 2018 season, Lincoln Riley will look to get his first national championship in just his second year at the helm of things.

2018-19 Summary

Instagram Photo

In a blue blood college football dynasty, new head coach Lincoln Riley will look to build off of his success from year one. Thanks to a loaded roster and star quarterback Baker Mayfield, the number one overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft, the Sooners cruised to a 12-2 record and fell one game short of the national championship after securing the two-seed in the college football playoff. It is never easy to replace a number one overall pick, however, his successor, Kyler Murray, a former number one recruit himself, shouldn’t allow the offense to drop a beat. He’s flashed his raw athletic ability in limited play, and now, with a full-time starting gig, it’s not absurd to consider him as one of the Heisman hopefuls. As far as the schedule goes, the Sooners have one of the easier paths in the country to a perfect season. Yes, Chip Kelly is trying to rebuild the UCLA program, but they will be nothing close to his finished product when the two team match-up in week two. For the in-conference schedule, Texas, TCU, and Kansas will pose the biggest threat, but assuming neither side has any critical injuries, Oklahoma will be heavy favorites in those games. In state rival, Oklahoma State could also pose a threat, but with that game being played at Oklahoma, it would be a miracle for the Cowboys to pull off that upset. Expect another a trip to the playoffs for the Sooners, and don’t be surprised if Kyler Murray can achieve the team goals that Baker Mayfield couldn’t.

Cage Warriors kicks off September with Cage Warriors 96 live on UFC Fight Pass Saturday, Sept. 1. The event will feature two title fights, including an appearance from top European prospect Paddy Pimblett, who is going for his second Cage Warriors title. Pimblett squares off against Soren Bak in the main event for the vacant lightweight belt.

Pimblett previously held the Cage Warriors featherweight title and received an offer from the UFC, but he turned it down in order to earn more money under the Cage Warriors banner. If he wins a second strap on Saturday, we will have to see if the UFC once again comes calling.

“Because I’m so young, people forget I’ve been doing this a long time, but at 23, I’m going to be a two-weight world champion,” the Pimblett said. “I’m not in a rush to do anything. After this fight, I’ll have achieved what I set out to do, so we’ll see what happens, if the UFC come in with that offer,” he said via MMAjunkie.com.

“I don’t like to think I’m up my own ass, but I know what I’m worth. When I get signed, I’m expecting to be on a main card. There’s not going to be no undercard. I’m not expecting an easy fight when I get in the UFC.”

In the co-main event, Jonas Billstein and Mick Stanton go head-to-head for the vacant middleweight title.

LOOK: UCF Trolls Alabama With Snapchat Filter For Opening Game

The UCF Knights were all kinds of petty during the Alabama Crimson Tide’s season-opener against the Louisville Cardinals at Camping World Stadium in Orlando on Saturday, Sept. 1.

While the Crimson Tide are the defending College Football Playoff National Champions, it was the Knights who went undefeated during the 2017 season and claimed a national championship of their own.

And you can be sure that UCF was ready to remind every person in attendance of their unbeaten campaign when Alabama rolled into town.

Terrin Waack, a college football writer for the Tuscaloosa News, took to social media to show off some grade-A trolling from the Knights.

The Knights created a special Snapchat location filter for the game which read: “Welcome to Orlando, Home of the 2017 champs.”

Hey, check out this Snapchat filter at the Alabama-Louisville game. pic.twitter.com/Lq61WQIgvX

— Terrin Waack (@terrinvictoria) September 1, 2018

Well played, Knights.

The is just the latest example of pettiness and trolling from the Knights, who held a championship parade to celebrate their undefeated season and even unveiled national championship rings for their players and a banner to hang at the stadium.

As for their start to the 2018 season, UCF picked up where they left off in their first game under new head coach Josh Heupel, scoring a dominant 56-17 win over UConn in their season opener on Thursday, Aug. 30.

Next up for the Knights is a Saturday, Sept. 8 clash with South Carolina State in Week 2.

Ex-University Of California Student Charged With Impersonating Doctor

Orange County Police Department

Ariya Ouskouian, a 23-year-old student at the University of California-Irvine, faces up to 11 years in prison on some very serious charges. According to the Orange County district attorney’s office, Ouskouian faces one felony count of providing a medical diagnosis while impersonating a doctor and eight misdemeanor accounts of “representing oneself as a licensed medical practitioner.”

According to reports, Ouskouian impersonated a doctor at two local hospitals and was treating and diagnosing patients on multiple occasions.

Ouskouian gained access to restricted areas by simply saying he had lost his identification badge and requesting a temporary one.

From the New York Post:

In May, Ouskouian allegedly diagnosed a man, who has not been identified, regarding a growth on his neck in a consult room at UCI. On seven different occasions between April and June, he also allegedly impersonated a doctor at Children’s Hospital of Orange County.

“Ouskouian is accused of claiming to have lost his hospital badge and requesting a temporary one be issued on each of these occasions,” the district attorney’s office said in a statement. “When hospital staff became suspicious of the defendant and requested verification of his doctor status, Ouskouian is accused of providing the name of a UCI personnel.”

He has since been released on $20,000 bond.

There is still no word on why Ouskouian made the decision to impersonate a doctor. The good news, however, is that it is not believed that he had any access to patient records and outside of the one man he diagnosed it is not believed that he diagnosed any additional patients despite having interactions.

Will Grier, quarterback of the West Virginia football team, is one of the top players in all of college football. But the Heisman hopeful is also scoring big off of the field, thanks to Jeanne Marie Grier, his wife and mother of his child.

Will and Jeanne met when Grier was a quarterback at the University of Florida. They had dated for two years before welcoming their daughter Eloise into the world and making the move to Morgantown, West Virginia while Will finishes out his collegiate career with the Mountaineers.

After meeting Grier and beginning to date while in Gainesville, Jeanne spent three years as a NFL cheerleader for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

It’s not bad being Will Grier, who is expected to go on and become a top NFL Draft pick after the 2018 college football season.

The Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD) teamed up with a nonprofit named Commit in late-2017 with the hopes of sending every graduating senior in local area to community college for free. The program, the Dallas County Promise, has since seen overwhelming success in the first year with 2,841 high school graduates from the 31 area high schools completing the proper pledge and financial aid forms to attend college.

The students began class this week at DCCCD campuses or the University of North Texas Dallas, a partner school.

According to the Dallas Morning News, that led to a 40 percent growth in DCCCD enrollment and a 30 percent increase in enrollment at UNT Dallas.

DCCCD Chancellor Joe May spoke on the importance of the program.

“Getting these kids in college when they didn’t have plans to go, or didn’t think that they had a way to go, that they couldn’t afford it, it’s transformational,” May said. “When I graduated from high school, there were plenty of good jobs out there — where someone could buy a house, make a good living — without an education beyond high school. That’s just not the case anymore.”

One local student, Jose Alvarez of Grand Prairie High School who was his senior class president, also spoke on how the program has helped him and his classmates.

“I saw how this could help me, this could really help a lot of my friends,” he said. “We don’t have to have students working at McDonald’s or at the mall or in construction — some of the jobs that a lot of people get right out of high school. … Imagine how much we as Dallas, Texas, will grow, if we have people who are more educated that live here.”

With the success of the early launch of the program, The Promise has added 12 more schools in Dallas County with the hopes of getting their graduating seniors prepared to attend free college in the fall 2019 semester.

Paul Manafort’s daughter has officially filed to lose her family name. According to the New York Post, 36-year-old Jessica Manafort has filed paperwork in Manhattan Supreme Court this weekend to change her name to Jessica Anne Bond.

“I am a passionate liberal and a registered Democrat and this has been difficult for me,” she told the Los Angeles Times back in July.

“Although I am ‘the daughter of,’ I am very much my own person and hopefully people can realize that.”

The independent filmmaker chose to go with the surname “Bond” instead, which belongs to her mother Kathleen. She wrote in court papers that her mother’s maiden name “more closely suits [her] profession.”

Jessica also made the decision in order to “separate myself and my work from a public perception that has nothing to do with the person that I am.”

She debuted the new name earlier this summer for the director of her new film, “Rosy,” which credited Jess Bond. Other film credits — although under the name Jessica Manafort — include “Remember the Daze” and “A Shore Thing.”

Jessica graduated from NYU’s Tisch Film School in 2004. She was married to real estate developer Jeffrey Yohai, who has also found himself in legal trouble recently but never adopted his last name. Yohai pleaded guilty to charges stemming from his real estate dealings and is expected to cooperate with investigators into their investigation with Manafort. Jessica filed for divorce from Yohai in March 2017.

Manafort was arrested earlier this year on 32 charges for allegedly laundering more than $30 million in overseas income and evading taxes. Among the charges Manafort faced were money laundering, violating a federal lobbying disclosure law and obstruction of justice.

Manafort was convicted on five counts of tax fraud, one of the four counts of failing to disclose his foreign bank accounts, and two counts of bank fraud by the Eastern District of Virginia on Aug. 21, 2018. His trial for charges of conspiracy to defraud the United States, money laundering, failing to register as a foreign lobbyist, making false statements to investigators, and witness tampering is set to begin in September 2018.

Brazil’s 200-year-old national museum in Rio de Janeiro has been destroyed after huge flames engulfed the structure late Sunday night. The museum had been closed for the day and no injuries have been reported, but most of the artifacts that date back centuries — including the oldest human remains discovered in the Americas — have been destroyed.

“The loss of the National Museum’s collection is insurmountable for Brazil. Two hundred years of work, research and knowledge were lost,” Brazilian President Michel Temer wrote on Twitter. “It’s a sad day for all Brazilians.”

Temer added that the losses were too great to be calculated.

BBC says there were more than 20 million artifacts inside of the building at the time the blaze broke out.

Among the 20 million items it housed were archaeological artifacts, fossils and the largest meteorite discovered in the country. The natural history collection included dinosaur bones and a 12,000-year-old skeleton of a woman known as “Luzia”, the oldest ever found in the Americas.

The fire began at approximately 7:30 p.m. local time, according to the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.

Marco Aurelio Caldas, a museologist who had worked at the institution for more than nine years, arrived at the scene shortly after the fire broke out and was heartbroken to see the museum in flames. Other museum workers and researchers were also close to the scene and reportedly were in tears as the fire continued to grow.

“This is 200 years of work of a scientific institution, the most important one in Latin America. Everything is finished. Our work, our life was all in there,” Caldas told Agencia Brasil, via CNN.

The museum was established in 1818 and once served as the home to the Portuguese royal family. It was the country’s oldest historical institution. Watching history literally go up in flames is painful for everyone to watch.

Ten people have been shot at an apartment complex in San Bernardino, California. Three of the victims are in “extremely critical” condition, according to an update from San Bernardino Police spokesman Captain Richard Lawhead. According to Lawhead, the shooting occurred in a common area at the complex.

A group of people were reportedly playing dice when the shooting began.

There is no suspect in custody this time, and all of the victims are believed to be adults.

Multiple handguns and rifles were reportedly used in the shooting.

CNN interviewed someone who lives near the apartment complex, Alysa Marie, who says they heard 15 to 20 rapid gunshots ring out. Multiple ambulances immediately made their way to the scene. Stray bullets entered at least two apartments in the complex, though none of those residents were harmed.

After the call went out at 10:45 PT that called for first responders with “at least 10 victims down.” All of the victims are believed to have been outside.

Marie added that helicopters could be heard scanning the area as law enforcement officials continue to search for suspects.

“My brother-in-law could hear bullets flying past our house, he was outside at the time of the shooting,” Marie told CNN. “About five minutes later the helicopter was circling around our street (Lynwood), talking on the loud speaker saying to put down the weapons, for the people who were on the ground to get up and get to safety and to let the law enforcement do their job.”

Where Did The Shooting Take Place?

Law enforcement and first responders responded to a call reporting shots fired at 1277 East Lynwood Drive on Sunday at 10:45 PT. When police arrived on the scene, the magnitude of the situation was discovered with at least 10 victims. Three of the victims are listed in “extremely critical” condition and the suspects have since fled.

San Bernardino is about 50 miles northeast of Los Angeles, Calif.

Harvard Never Considered Elizabeth Warren’s Ethnicity In Hiring Process

Elizabeth Warren has been attacked by political opponents in the past and even mocked over her claimed Native American heritage. We have all heard of the name “Pocahontas” and heard the questions about whether she improperly claimed Native American heritage in order to land a job at Harvard University and advance her career.

Well, a recent report from the Boston Globe appears to indicate that was never the case.

The Boston Globe looked into interviews and documents that show Harvard Law faculty never considered her heritage in the process of hiring her. The same goes for jobs at Rutgers, The University of Houston, The University of Texas, and the University of Pennsylvania.

“It had nothing to do with our consideration and deliberation,” Charles Fried, a former member of the Harvard Law School appointments committee, said. “How many times do you have to have the same thing explained to you?”

Out of 31 law school professors who were talked to, all but one said Native American heritage was never discussed in the hiring process.

“She was not on the radar screen at all in terms of a racial minority hire,” Randall Kennedy, a law professor who was in charge of recruiting minority candidates to Harvard Law School, added. “It was just not an issue. I can’t remember anybody ever mentioning her in this context.”

The United States senator will be seeking re-election in Massachusetts this November. Her opponent will be one of three Republicans battling it out in the primary election on Tuesday, Sept. 4.

The report has also led to some believing that the effort to put questions about her heritage behind her could be an indication that she’s eyeing a presidential run in 2020. Warren has consistently said she will not pursue the office of the presidency, but with two years until the election, plenty of things could change.
