Beer Of The Week: Sixpoint Brewery’s The Crisp

Tired of drinking lukewarm Keystone Light out of a 6-month-old keg? Trying to move past Bud Light Limes and Coronas? Crushed enough 30-racks to last a lifetime? The point is, you’re likely at that stage in your life (or close to it) where you want to drink better beer.

Don’t feel bad, as it happens to all of us at one point or another. While shitty beer never really goes away — trust me, stale kegs and 30’s are still very much a thing in post-grad life — decent beer becomes further appreciated and desired the older you get. While I get f*cked up way less than I did in college, I actually kind of drink more now because I have a delicious new beer with my dinner every night. And buddy, let me let you in on a little secret … Shock Top doesn’t count.

So, with all that in mind, we decided to set the very obtainable (and enjoyable) goal of trying, and hopefully enjoying, a new beer every week.

Me in the meeting finding out COED is going to allocate budget to buy me beer.

From popular IPA’s to obscure chocolate stouts, this is COED’s Beer of the Week.

About The Crisp

via Sixpoint Brewery:

We went to Germany for this one. (Well went back really: we first devised this beer while counting yeast cells in a German lab, and sinking liters in underground caves.) Anyway, when it comes to German hops, American breweries get the leftovers… the less desirable plots, amalgamated into a “hop sausage.” Instead, at Sixpoint we go straight to the source for the prime cuts — the Tettnanger and Hallertau hops in THE CRISP are sourced 100% directly from farmers in Tettnang, Germany. This way we personally select what goes into our beers.

Look, legit pilz should have an aroma that leaps from the glass, and the bright, floral aroma of THE CRISP absolutely blasts your nostrils. Follow that up with a crisp, clean finish, and you’ll be sinking this thing by the liter.

Beer Facts

Type: Pilsner
ABV: 5.4%
IBU: 44
Calories: 162
Hops: Tettnang and Hallertau Hops

COED’s Review

Sixpoint’s The Crisp is like if Bud Light graduated college, got their shit together, and went to graduate school.

But what does that mean, actually? It means that if you aren’t a serious beer drinker and don’t like a beer that’s too hoppy or too malty, this is the beer for you. Yes, it’s relatively light for a “craft” beer, but it’s refreshing as hell — probably why it’s called the Crisp — and it tastes MILES better than Bud Light, Rolling Rock, Coors Light, etc, etc.

It’s perfect use? Day drinking. Light enough to keep you moving but good enough to actually enjoy the taste while getting you drunk.

Jacqueline Nicole Muller, a 26-year-old California teacher, was arrested on Monday, August 20, after officials say she allegedly had sex with a 14-year-old student.

According to reports, Muller has been charged with first-degree child sexual abuse after she had sex with a male student at a hotel in Washington D.C. on May 9. In addition, police say they found “extensive” text messages between Muller and the student.

Muller, a teacher at the Salem Lutheran School in Glendale, California, allegedly had sex with the teen at the Hyatt Place Washington D.C. on E Street SW while she was chaperoning his eighth-grade class trip to D.C. back in May.

via NBC:

The teen told police that he and the teacher began communicating through Instagram in March. Initially, they talked about photography and mutual interests. A month later, they kissed, the documents say.

During the school trip on May 9, Muller and the teen had sex in the hotel room he shared with another student, according to the documents. They did so again the same day at a hotel in Virginia.

The teen’s parents became concerned when they heard from other school trip chaperones that their son had been alone with Muller for about an hour late at night. The teen told his parents they had been talking. Then, the parents found messages between the teacher and the teen on his phone.

The teen eventually told his father what happened and the teen’s parents met with the school principal on May 14, who then contacted child protective services.

According to NBC, a warrant for Muller’s arrest was requested in late July.  At this time, neither she nor the Salem Lutheran School responded to requests for comment.

Muller is just the latest teacher to be charged for an inappropriate relationship with a teenager. Over the course of just a few months, educators across the country were arrested for entering into an inappropriate relationship with their students, Tennessee teacher Janet Smothers, LaToya Parker, Florida teacher Caroline Lawson, 26-year-old Allyson Moran and Katherine Ross Ridenhour were all arrested on similar charges. A woman named Kayla Sprinkles was arrested in North Carolina for similar sexual crimes.

The list goes on to include 22-year-old Oklahoma science teacher Hunter Day, 28-year-old teacher Megan Kotarski, 23-year-old history teacher Michelle Schiffer, 29-year-old Alyssia Marie Reddy, special education teacher Jordan Ondish and 28-year-old Samantha Fitzpatrick have all been allegedly carrying on inappropriate relationships with their students.

In addition, 31-year-old Nicole Marie Andrews, 32-year-old Jessica Langford, 29-year-old Andrea Baber, 27-year-old Robin Dunlap, 27-year-old Jennifer Olajire-Aro have also been charged with these charges.

34-year-old Miranda Nicole Pauley was charged with similar crimes, Nancy Leigh Ann Brann, a former Christian school teacher, was arrested for having sex with a student, Coine Audiat pleaded no contest to having sex with a minor in 2016 and 23-year-old Darci Lake was arrested for an inappropriate relationship. 27-year-old Brittany Zamora from Arizona was arrested on similar charges. Keri Hoffman, 35, was also arrested for an alleged relationship with a student. More recently, 29-year-old Tiffany Ranweiler-Oblander and 33-year-old Maren Oates were arrested on similar charges.

A golf match over a decade-in-the-making (and probably a decade too late) is finally upon us as Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson have announced the date of their winner-take-all match for $9 Million.

Dubbed simply “The Match”, Tiger and Phil will face off at the Shadow Creek Golf Club in Las Vegas on the day after Thanksgiving: Black Friday, November 23, 2018.

Uproxx reports that the match will be shown on PPV through Turner’s Bleacher Report Live service and will available on AT&T U-Verse, DirecTV, and various other on-demand platforms.

The match will be shown on PPV, run through Turner’s B/R Live and available on AT&T U-Verse, DirecTV, and other on-demand platforms. HBO Sports will run a 24/7 pre-match series, as they do with big boxing matches, in the build up to the event. While the match is set for $9 million, the two will have the chance to raise the stakes at any time in the match with side challenges like closest to the pin or long drive.

When & Where is the Tiger Woods vs. Phil Mickelson “The Match”?:

As for the favorite to win? Tiger, of course, at -180. Given that he’s had himself quite the bounce back year, that shouldn’t come as a surprise.

However, considering he’s a pretty heavy gambler himself, Mickelson probably loves that he’s getting plus odds at +150.

Kathie Klages, a former Michigan State gymnastics coach, caught a charge related to former sports doctor Larry Nassar. According to the Associated Press, Klages has been charged with “lying to police amid the sexual abuse.” The charges from investigators were announced on Thursday, Aug. 23.

Klages could face up to four years relating to the charge.

From the Lansing State Journal:

Klages was charged in Ingham County 54A District Court. A $5,000 bond was set and a warrant was issued for her arrest. If convicted on the felony charge, she faces up to four years in prison. The misdemeanor charge carries a sentence of up to two years. Klages retired on Feb. 14, 2017, a day after the university suspended her and hours after a former MSU athlete said in court documents that the coach had discouraged her years ago from reporting concerns about Nassar.

Nassar was accused of sexual harassment by multiple women of sexual abuse. He will now face a 40 to 125-year prison sentence.

Who is Larry Nassar?

Nassar, 54, graduated from the University of Michigan in 1985. A year later, he joined the medical staff of the US national gymnastics team as a licensed osteopathic physician. In 1997, he also began working as a team physician at Michigan State University.

Nassar was a well-respected figure in the sports medicine field and was trusted with treating many top-level US gymnasts. He worked for the US gymnastics team in four Olympic Games before he was fired from the team in 2015 after athletes reported concerns of sexual misconduct.

He continued working with Michigan State University until September 2016 when the first allegations of his sexual abuse were reported. Nassar was subsequently reassigned from his clinical and teaching duties at the University and was fired later that month.

Papa John Just Won’t Die

Papa John, I have one question for you:

It happened to Donald Sterling, it happened to that seedy New York City lawyer, and while it hasn’t happened to our President just yet, it’s going to happen to you too, Papa. You are far too famous (but not quite powerful enough) to get away with being that overtly and openly racist.

So, what has Papa John done to try and save his rapidly sinking ship? Make a website in an effort to clear his name, of course! But what does the website actually do?

Well, according to the Dough Slinger himself, SavePapaJohns.com gives the Papa a way to “talk to you” (exactly who “you” is, I have no idea), provide legal updates, and aggregate news stories about Papa Johns.

But wait, it gets weirder, trust me:

via savepapajohns.com:

I built Papa John’s from the ground up and remain its largest shareholder. I love my Company, its employees, franchisees and customers. The Board wants to silence me. So this is my website, and my way to talk to you.

As I said in a recent letter, I miss you all very much. More than words can express! Papa John’s is our life’s work and we will all get through this together somehow, some way. I can only imagine how difficult this entire situation is on you, and I’m very sorry you all have to go through this.

Know that in every minute of every day you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Included in this website are links to recent press releases, news articles, and public filings – we are getting the truth out there.

Papa John, just let it go, man. You got caught being a racist like three times in six months, you’re cooked … way more cooked than your pizza, at least (which sucks, by the way.)

Georgia Gibbs, a rookie member of the 2018 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit class, has been gaining popularity on social media in recent months. The 23-year-old model, who competed against Tegan Martin for the title of Miss Universe Australia in 2014, is represented by Scoop Management Australia, Modelwerk EU, 2mgmt Los Angeles and Wilhelmina New York City.

Gibbs was a Season 8 contestant in Australia’s Next Top Model. She was also a dancer growing up and was involved in horse riding.

“I was a dancer. That was my thing. My best moment when I was 16, I was dancing in a group with like 22-year-olds, I was a badass. We were dancing to Beyoncé songs, wearing these little two-pieces, and my dad was like, ‘Okay that’s enough,'” she said via Sports Illustrated. “That was the high-point of my career, though, when I was dancing so young but at a high level.”

While Gibbs is Australian, she currently lives in the United States.

And in case you were wondering, yes, Gibbs does read the Instagram comments so go ahead and shoot your shot if you’re slick and not a weirdo.

“I definitely read the comments. I should read less of them. It’s not so bad. I’m not sensitive. Most of the time it’s girls being like, ‘You look amazing.’ I’m really bad though, I read all of them. I should probably read it less. I had one that was really weird, I had a comment that was like, ‘If you fly to where I am, I’ll make you a princess.’ Then eight other guys were commenting, ‘She’s my princess, no she’s my princess.’ And I was sitting over here being like, ‘I’m no one’s princess.’ You get some really weird groups of guys sometimes.”

Linda Janack, a reading teacher at Edgemont Elementary School in Van Buren Township, Michigan, is being investigated for operating and performs for an X-rated internet porn site with her husband.

According to reports, Van Buren Township school officials confirmed that they are investigating a parent’s complaints that Janack works for a website called “Hot For Teachers.”

However, the reports from ClickOnDetriot states that there isn’t anything technically illegal about Janack and her husband’s alleged activity.

via ClickOnDetriot:

Janack’s husband, Scott, spoke to Local 4 on the phone Wednesday. He refused to allow the conversation to be recorded, but he confirmed he and his wife have a website. He said he hopes more people will go to it and see it.

Scott Janack refused to comment on whether his wife will be teaching this fall and said they are in talks with the school district about the situation. The mother of one of Janack’s students took the news hard.

“My kids, when they talked about her, really liked her,” said the mother, who didn’t want to be identified. “But that’s not OK, and I can’t believe if the district knows about it they’re still allowing it.”

Janack is just the latest teacher to be charged for inappropriate conduct. TMZ

Younes Bendjima, Kourtney Kardashian’s ex-boyfriend who has recently been linked to Instagram model Jordan Ozuna, was involved in a scuffle just outside of a Los Angeles nightclub earlier this year, according to a new video recently obtained by TMZ.

Bendjima can be seen attacking and beating a man outside of the club as they were set to leave to a parking lot out of the back door.

The group, which included rap star Drake and New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., allegedly was leaving when an employee “talked smack” and that’s when the assault began.

From the report:

It went down March 24 at Delilah nightclub at 2:15 AM. Drake, Odell and at least a dozen other guys are leaving through the back door of the club when an employee throws open the door leading to the parking lot. The employee mouths something to the group, which clearly pisses them off, and Younes delivers a flurry of punches to the employee’s head. Another member of the crew jumps in and delivers his own series of punches as the victim appears to go down. Younes grabs the guy’s hair and continues the assault.

Check out the video below:

Bendjima was born in 1993 and, before becoming a model, he worked at his father’s restaurant and trained to be a boxer. He spent his life throughout other countries, such as the United States and France, the latter of which is his mother’s homeland; he is able to speak in Arabic, English and French.

“Creative Differences”: Here’s Why The ‘Bond 25’ Director Quit The Movie

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer/Columbia Pictures

It goes without saying that ‘Bond 25’ — the tentative name for the upcoming 25th film in the James Bond franchise — has been a production problem from the get-go.

Following the release of Spectre, Daniel Craig — James Bond himself — said that he would rather “slash his wrists” than play James Bond. Seriously, direct quote.

However, Craig eventually came around (being offered $150 million to play Bond two more times might have helped), Danny Boyle (Slumdog MillionaireSteve JobsTrainspotting) signed on and everything began looking up. But only for so long.

Yesterday, it was announced from the official 007 Twitter account that Boyle had left Bond 25 due to “creative differences”:

Michael G. Wilson, Barbara Broccoli and Daniel Craig today announced that due to creative differences Danny Boyle has decided to no longer direct Bond 25. pic.twitter.com/0Thl116eAd

— James Bond (@007) August 21, 2018

A day later, it is being reported that the specific creative difference was the casting of the film’s lead villain.

According to the Telegraph, the split was due to a fall out over whether to cast Tomasz Kot (whomst?) as the lead villain.

via The Telegraph:

Rumours that the film’s script was the source of the disagreement have been reported, with producers alleged to be unhappy with the decision  to focus on contemporary political tensions with Russia and a “modern-day Cold War”.

However, one industry source told the Telegraph the split was due to a fall out over whether to cast Tomasz Kot as the lead villain.

Kot, the 41-year-old Polish actor stars in Cold War, a love story set in 1950s Europe, and was described as a “left-field” decision for a Bond enemy.

“Craig has a big say in all the casting decisions. None of the Bond girls have been chosen without his say so,” the source said.

In addition, the Telegraph report also states issues such as Boyle’s insistence on bringing an entirely new writing team “infuriated” Bond producers.

Boyle’s exit is just another bump in the long and winding road to the 25th, and likely very disappointing, Bond film.

ESPN’s Michelle Beadle has had enough. Never one to hold back her thoughts, Beadle unloaded on Ohio State University, the football program, and head coach Urban Meyer for how they handled allegations that Meyer had previous knowledge of domestic abuse committed by former wide receivers coach Zach Smith.

Beadle ripped the parties involved because of a lack of compassion when discussing Courtney Smith.

“You couldn’t even muster that, which tells me everything I need to know,” Beadle said. “That you have zero culpability in this and you don’t think anything wrong happened., which is why I think the entire thing is a farce.”

She also said that it will mark the second consecutive year that she will not be watching football, an interesting comment considering she is paid to discuss the sport.

Check out the video below:

— Get Up (@GetUpESPN) August 23, 2018

“There’s a reason why this will be the second season I don’t watch NFL and I don’t spend my Saturdays watching college football either. I believe that the sport of football has set itself up to be in a position where it shows itself in the bigger picture to not really care about women — they don’t really care about people of color, but we won’t get into that for NFL either — but as a woman I feel like a person who has been marginalized,” Beadle said as transcribed by The Big Lead.

“And every single one of these stories that comes out, every single time, pushes me further and further away. I realize they don’t care, but for me it’s opened up my weekends. I appreciate you for giving that to me. I don’t care anymore. I’ve lost the ability to be surprised. You got three games. You could’ve been fired. They could’ve gotten away with not having to pay you a single dime. You survived it, and not only did you survive it, but you didn’t have the grace enough to at least look over the statement you were handed seven seconds before and pretend that you meant a single word in it. The entire thing is a disgrace. I’m just numb to it. I’m just ready for NBA to kick off, quite frankly. That’s what I’m here for.”

CMU Suspends Phi Sigma Phi While Investigating Alcohol Violations

The Phi Sigma Phi fraternity at Central Michigan University has been temporarily suspended pending an investigation into alcohol violations.

According to reports from The Morning Sun, the Xi Chapter of the Phi Sigma Phi Fraternity has been temporarily suspended by CMU while an investigation is conducted on alleged violations of sections regarding alcohol, Registered Student Organizations, and university regulations of the Central Michigan University Code of Student Rights and Responsibilities.

Central Michigan University announced the suspension in a statement on Monday, August 20.

“During this temporary suspension, Phi Sigma Phi Fraternity is prohibited from participating in any Central Michigan University events, programs, or any other social events as a student organization.

In addition, their status as a registered student organization has been temporarily revoked. Phi Sigma Phi Fraternity will also be designated as an unrecognized organization on the Fraternity and Sorority Life website,” the university said in their statement.

The Morning Sun outlined the violations being investigated:

The CMU Code of Student Rights and Responsibilities outlines the sections that have been alleged to have been violated.

Section 3.2.13 indicates a student shall not possess, consume or furnish, or aid in the consumption or furnishing of, alcoholic beverages except as permitted by law and university policy. Violation of the Residence Life Alcohol and Controlled Substances Policy is a violation of this section.

Section 3.2.25 reads: “Violation by Registered Student Organizations of these regulations, and other rules pertaining to Registered Student Organizations as outlined in the Registered Student Organization Manual shall be treated as an offense under these regulations.”

Also, Section 3.2.31 indicates a violation of university regulations, meaning those regulations, policies or established procedures, shall be treated as a violation.

This is the latest major fraternity or sorority investigation, suspension or closure in the last year, as schools such as Indiana University, the University of Michigan, Ohio State University, Texas State, Florida State, Ball State, Louisiana State and Penn State have all suspended fraternities in the wake of hazing and alcohol deaths.

These reports come amidst similar allegations that have been made against fraternities nationwide, including Sigma Alpha Epsilon at East Carolina University, who was shut down for hazing and the Lambda Chi Alpha chapter at the University of Arkansas which has been accused of taking sexually explicit photographs of women without their permission.

In response to incidents like these, fraternities such Phi Kappa Psi have made numerous changes to their code of conduct in an effort to address the issues that have arisen. In addition, schools such as Texas State, West Virginia University, and Penn State University have introduced new Greek Life rules to try and prevent these problems.

UCSB Found In Contempt Of Court After Student Wins Lawsuit

UCSB, the University of California-Santa Barbara has been found in contempt of court for violating a court order regarding a male student who was accused of stalking a female student. The university failed to re-evaluate its findings and punishment, according to Santa Barbara Super Court Judge Donna D. Geck.

The Daily Wire reports that UCSB failed to follow an earlier mandate to look at the additional evidence.

The student, only referred to as John Doe in the court documents, was reinstated to the university and the school vacated its decision against him. John Doe and his accuser, referred to as Jane Doe, were briefly dating in the fall of 2015 before a break-up in mid-October. Once the two broke up, John and Jane exchanged texts while she was dating another boyfriend.

From the report:

On October 31, John said he texted Jane: “This goes against everything I said I wouldn’t do, but I actually really miss you.” The next day he sent another text: “Although I mean what I said, I shouldn’t have sent that. I’m sorry.” Two days later he sent one last text: “I know you don’t like change, but [you’re] SO SO Much better than him,” referring to her ex- and current boyfriend. Jane texted him back to say they shouldn’t speak, and John, according to his lawsuit, didn’t text her again.

John said he dropped a class during the winter quarter because Jane and her boyfriend were taking it, and had no further contact with Jane for the next seven months, though they did see each other on campus occasionally.

The allegations then claimed that John sent threatening text messages to Jane and that he was “following her on an almost daily basis since September 2015” and that he would stand outside of her building. There was also a claim that John intentionally spilled a drink on her during a sorority party.

The allegations were never confirmed during the investigation.

After reviewing the additional information, the Santa Barba Sheriff’s Department found no evidence to confirm Jane Doe’s claims. UCSB failed to provide any evidence that backed up the allegations. John instead provided evidence to show “that he was elsewhere in his own class at certain times and his smartphone location information contradicted Jane Roe’s claim at other times.”

A “review” from UCSB came away with the same decision as the original despite no additional evidence. The decision was identical, so UCSB was in contempt and John won the lawsuit.

You can read the full story and more notes from the court documents here.

Oh, Florida — like our wives and girlfriends, we can’t live with you, but we certainly couldn’t live without you. You are like the Drunk Uncle in the family that is the United States of America: you mean well & have a good heart, but show up to the party already hammered and then tell Cousin Derek to go f*ck himself before you fall face first through the all-glass living room coffee table. You’re a wildcard, but you’re our wildcard, and we love ya for it.

For some reason, though, more than any other state in the union, Florida has an uncanny knack of churning out the most preposterous headlines you’ve ever heard of.

“Homeless Man Engages in Sword Fight with Alligator”

“Pink-Haired Couple Rob Bank Armed Only with String Cheese”

“Party Clown Arrested for Smoking Crack in Front of Children”

Are these real stories? Did I just make these headlines up? Who knows. I guess you’ll have to Google it. Either way, the point is they sound real and that’s because in Florida, literally, anything is possible, even the most bizarre.

Okay, I’ll admit, the headlines above you are fake, but the ones below are entirely real, and that’s what makes Florida so Florida: you cannot tell the difference between what’s real and what’s not because it all sounds so wildly ridiculous.

“Teen Bites the Head Off Live Chicken”

“Elementary School Teacher Arrested For Selling Marijuana”

“Police Searching For Cross-Dresser Who Keeps Leaving Underwear On Random Cars”

“Man Causes $100K in Damage at Local Walmart, Blames ‘Hookah Smoking Caterpillar'”

“Teacher Placed on Leave For Drowning Racoons in Class”

“Woman Poses as Federal Agent to Score Free Chick-Fil-A”

“This Chainsaw Wielding Nun is the Hero Florida Deserves Right Now”

“Man Whips Out Samurai Sword During Road Rage Incident”

“Teacher Suspended For Allowing Students to Hook Up in Class”

Needless to say, you get our point: Florida is a mad, mad place.

So with that in mind, we’ve decided to do a weekly round-up of all the headlines from America’s Bastard Son of a State … the only and only Florida.

Woman Loses NASA Internship After Cursing At Legendary Space Engineer

This, this right here, is why a wise man once said nothing at all.

One second, you’re celebrating your dank new internship on Twitter with your internet friends, and the next second, it all comes crumbling down because of your own ignorance.

Twitter user Naomi H. (who is apparently a furry, just to make this story even weirder), knows exactly what I’m talking about.

A couple of days ago, the following Twitter exchange went viral:

Twitter

And according to reports, Naomi lost her precious NASA internship because of it. Talk about ‘life comes at you fast.’

However, surprisingly enough, it had nothing to do with Homer Hickam, the former NASA engineer and member of the National Space Council advisory group who Naomi told to suck her dick AND balls.

In fact, this Hickam guy actually seems chill AF (unsurprising considering he’s a big space nerd), as he said in a blog post that he is doing making sure there is “no black mark” on her record and doing “all he can” to secure her an even BETTER gig than the one she just lost.

via Homer Hickam’s Blog:

I’m a Vietnam vet and not at all offended by the F-word. However, when I saw NASA and the word used together, it occurred to me that this young person might get in trouble if NASA saw it so I tweeted to her one word: “Language” and intended to leave it at that.

Soon, her friends took umbrage and said a lot of unkind things but long after I was gone as I immediately deleted my comments and blocked all concerned.

Later, I learned she had lost her offer for an internship with NASA. This I had nothing to do with nor could I since I do not hire and fire at the agency or have any say on employment whatsoever. As it turned out, it was due to the NASA hashtag her friends used that called the agency’s attention to it long after my comments were gone.

She reached out to me with an unnecessary apology which I heartily accepted and returned with my own. After talking to her, I am certain she deserves a position in the aerospace industry and I’m doing all I can to secure her one that will be better than she lost. I have also talked to the folks that had to do with her internship and made absolutely certain that there will be no black mark on her record.

So, let that be a lesson, kids: if someone random old guy approaches you on Twitter, never answer, no matter the circumstance.

Also, maybeee don’t tell strangers to suck your dick and balls, that would probably help too.

Jeremih and Ty Dolla $ign dropped their collaboration album on Friday, August 24th, 2018. After announcing to fans last December that an album was in the works between these two, Ty Dolla $ign took to his Twitter a few weeks ago in order to give fans the official date of the release. The album was fully produced by Hitmaka aka Yung Berg and has features from familiar names like Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, and French Montana. This album was originally supposed to drop back in June, but because there were so many new albums being released around that time Ty Dolla $ign and Jeremiah wanted to wait to release theirs so it could get the full attention it deserves. “The Light” was the first single released early from the album and they dropped a music video with it as well.

This is Jeremih’s first album release since 2015 when he dropped his third studio album Late Nights. In 2009, Jeremih started his claim to fame by signing a record deal with Def Jam Recordings. He then dropped his debut single “Birthday Sex”, which peaked at number four on the US Billboard Hot 100 Chart. His first studio album Jeremih reached as high as number six on the US Billboard 200 chart. His second studio album All About You was also a major success and his led single “Down On Me” peaked at number five on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. In 2014, his single “Don’t Tell ‘Em” became his third top-ten hit on the US Billboard Hot 100.

This will be Ty Dolla $ign’s third studio album, but his first studio album since 2017 when he dropped Beach House 3, which debuted at number 11 on the US Billboard 200. Dolla $ign’s claim to fame is the work he did on YG’s “Toot It And Boot It” by writing it and producing it back in 2010 for Def Jam Recordings. He then went on to join Wiz Khalifa’s Taylor Gang Records in 2013 signing a record deal to join them. He then released his first studio album in 2015 Free TC, which peaked at number 14 on the US Billboard 200. Dolla $ign is best known for his singles “Paranoid”, “Or Nah”, and “Blasé”.

36-year-old Christina Kraft has been identified as the victim of the homicide that occurred in her Pennsylvania condo on Sibley Avenue in the Philadelphia suburb of Ardmore.

According to reports, Kraft’s body was discovered in the bedroom of her condo at 110 Sibley Avenue in Ardmore, Pennsylvania, at 9:15 p.m. EST on Wednesday, August 22. Her condo is at a complex called “The Square”.

On Thursday, August 23, the Montgomery County coroner ruled the cause of death was strangulation and the manner of death as a homicide.

Carlin-Kraft, a model, worked for the likes of Playboy, Maxim, David Yurman and MAC Cosmetics. According to a booking page, Carlin-Kraft credits herself with a “tasteful photo shoot for Playboy that was beyond Hollywood glamour.”

via ABC 13:

A source tells Action News that Kraft reported having items stolen from her home a few days ago. Police executed a search warrant in southwest Philadelphia on Wednesday and said they recovered some of her belongings, including jewelry and designer bags. It’s not clear if this is connected to her homicide.

Police have not announced any arrests, but officials said people who live in the area should not be concerned.

“We never had that type of thing in Ardmore. Hardly ever. It’s enough to make me cry,” said Dave Farina. “I’m praying for them that they find out who did it. And bring them to justice.”

Prosecutors said there “doesn’t appear” to be any concern for nearby residents and asked anyone with information to call Lower Merion police at 610-649-1000.

Delta Tau Delta At University Of Nebraska Being Investigated For Hazing

The Delta Tau Delta fraternity at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is being investigated by school officials for an alleged fraternity hazing incident involving alcohol. The fraternity is being investigated by both the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards and the fraternity’s national Delta Tau Delta organization.

According to the complaint made by a parent, Delta Tau Delta pledges were forced to drink for four consecutive days last week last week from August 17 to August 19.

The Lincoln Journal-Star reported that the parent notified UNL on Monday, August 20, their child had become ill after a weekend of drinking at the Delta Tau Delta chapter house located at 715 N. 16th St. The parent also said that the pledges were drinking at “an undisclosed off-campus location.”

via Lincoln Journal-Star:

According to the report, prospective new members of the fraternity were forced to drink alcohol beginning Thursday and continuing through Sunday, with at least one pledge being pushed to the point of vomiting.

Both UNL’s Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards and the Delta Tau Delta national organization launched an investigation into the reported violations of the university’s student code of conduct.

Hazing, according to the university’s code, is “any activity by which a person intentionally or recklessly endangers the physical or mental health or safety of an individual for the purpose of” initiation or affiliation with a student organization.

No discipline has been meted out yet, according to UNL spokeswoman Deb Fiddelke, while the investigation is ongoing. There is no timetable for the investigation’s completion.

At the time of this writing, while the fraternity has not yet been suspended and is still recognized on campus, the fraternity has been stripped of its student housing designation.
