There are reports of tech problems with the popular social media website and application Facebook.

At this time, it is not clear what caused the crash or how long it lasted.

The crash comes just a week after the social media giant lost 24% of its market share — roughly $119 billion — which in turn cause CEO Mark Zuckerberg to lose approximately $17 billion overnight.

Facebook Inc’s shares lost as much as a quarter of their value on Wednesday after executives said that profit margins would plummet for several years due to the costs of improving privacy safeguards and slowing usage in the biggest advertising markets.

The second-quarter results were the first sign that a new European privacy law and a succession of privacy scandals involving Cambridge Analytica and other app developers have bit into Facebook’s business. The company further warned that the toll would not be offset by revenue growth from emerging markets and Facebook’s Instagram app, which has been more immune from privacy concerns.

Operating profit margin, which fell to 44 percent in the second quarter from 47 percent a year ago, will sink to the “mid-30s” for more than two years, Chief Financial Officer David Wehner said in investor guidance.

As of 12:40 p.m. EST, Facebook appears to be back to full functionality.

Joseph Pappas, the suspect in the murder of Houston cardiologist Dr. Mark Hausknecht, was found dead on Friday, Aug. 3. Pappas was found dead in a Houston neighborhood of a believed self-inflicted gunshot wound as police were closing in.

“Police had indicated that the man had evidently shot himself, that the police evidently were coming up to him and asking him to put his hands up, and he put one arm up and, this is according to what this man said the police said, and evidently the man pulled out his gun and shot himself,” a neighbor and eye-witness told KPRC2 News.

According to reports, Pappas had been hiding in plain sight following the daylight murder of Dr. Hausknecht. From CNN.com:

Joseph Pappas, 62, has done ordinary things, like mowing his own lawn, a neighbor reported. But he also handed a courier paperwork to transfer his home deed and told the beneficiary he planned to kill himself, she told a newspaper. The details have emerged as investigators are even more convinced that Pappas “painstakingly planned” the bizarre daylight execution of Dr. Mark Hausknecht — carried out as both men rode bicycles — possibly as revenge for his mother’s death 20 years ago under the doctor’s care, Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo told CNN.

A former friend of Pappas told CBS Houston affiliate KHOU-TV that he believes Pappas had a hit list and was currently searching for his next victim. Pappas was an expert marksman.

“I personally do not think the doctor is the only person that he is going to target,” the unidentified friend said. “I think [Dr. Mark Hausknecht] was number one on the list. And Joe is extremely intelligent. He’s patient, he’s unassuming, he’s a deadly shooter.”

The friend then recalled a bizarre conversation with Pappas: “[When we were] hanging out together, over burgers and tacos, telling stories, he mentioned being called the ‘Greek shrimp’ in high school and said ‘Karma’s a real bitch,’ and one day the people who bullied him in high school would meet a day of reckoning,. [When Pappas] made the comment, at the time I thought it was a joke, ‘Hey, don’t worry, you’re not on my list.’ Now, looking back on it, it makes me queasy to think, ‘Oh wait, maybe this guy has a list.”‘

Dr. Mark Hausknecht was gunned down on July 20 when he was riding his bike to work. Pappas passed the cardiologist before turning around and firing three shots. Dr. Hausknecht was struck twice in the torso and once in the head, with police believing the killing was over a 20-year grudge after Pappas’ mother died on the operating table while having surgery performed by Dr. Hausknecht. Hausknecht was also the former cardiologist for President George H.W. Bush.

Seahawks Color Rush

The year the NFL produced the color rush uniforms was a smart idea. They created a lot of fresh, unique colors that many fans loved. However, they did crap out on some teams like the Seahawks. Neon green can be cute on a child playing soccer but on eleven grown men looks more like a hazard sign. With the bright lights shining on the uniforms, fans must wear sunglasses to protect their eyes from the blinding colors.

Jaguars Color Rush

We are going to have you picture color with a set of descriptions. Think about the color of yellow pee and mix it with a light shade of diarrhea, once you have that color in your head put it on Jaguar player. That’s right the pee and light diarrhea color created the weird gold color of the Jaguars color rush uniform. It’s hard not to give the stank face to the Jaguars uniform.

Browns All Brown

Like the Jaguars color rush uniforms, you are looking at a color that came out of your body. The Browns all brown uniforms look like a giant turd with a hint of an orange peel. It’s hard not to feel bad for the Browns, not only do their uniforms look like someone took a gigantic shit on them but they have also taken a shit on their winning record which is zero.

Bear Stripes

Stripes on any uniform are a disaster waiting to happen. One or two team color stripes on the sleeve are acceptable, but when you have stripes on the helmet, sleeves, shoulders, and socks, you are asking for a death sentence. It’s an overkill of stripes, someone probably asked for a simple amount of stripes but like every subway worker does they give you way more than you asked. And this uniform is an example of why you need to be descriptive with what you want, especially if it’s going to be worn in public.

Steelers Bumble Bee

And our number one winner is the bumblebee. Not an actual bumblebee but the Pittsburgh Steelers bumblebee uniform. The helmet, jersey, and socks make each player look like they are flying around collecting nectar from each opponent they face. The jersey’s look like they should be worn on a horse jockey. Yellow and black stripes aren’t the most attractive, and they certainly should never be worn again. Don’t think this is a waste of clothing; they can donate it to the nearest prison.

If you’re looking for one of the top prospects in women’s mixed martial arts, look no further than Polyana Viana, a 26-year-old strawweight from São Geraldo do Araguaia, Para Brazil. Viana, who began her professional mixed martial arts career in Dec. 2013, holds a record of 10-1. She made her UFC debut back in February 2018 at UFC Fight Night 125, scoring a first-round rear-naked choke victory over Maia Kahaunaele-Stevenson.

Throughout her career, Viana has only gone the distance one time and that was the lone loss of her career. Her 10 wins have all come by finish, including six submissions and four knockouts.

Viana, whose nickname is “Dama de Ferro” which translates to “The Iron Lady,” is currently on a six-fight winning streak.

Now that she is in the UFC and showing plenty of promise, Viana is aiming for a run at the title. “It means the realization of a dream, and now that I am in the UFC, I will go after my next dream, which is winning the belt,” she said in her official UFC bio.

“I have been an 8-time state champion of jiu-jitsu in the state of Pará, Brazil, 7-time state champion of jiu-jitsu in the state of Maranhão, Brazil, 5-time state champion of jiu-jitsu in the state of Tocantins, Brazil, 1-time state champion of jiu-jitsu in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil, World champion of jiu-jitsu in 2015, and champion of Jungle Fight.”

The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to pay-per-view on Saturday night for UFC 227: Dillashaw vs. Garbrandt 2. In the main event, bantamweight titleholder TJ Dillashaw defends his title against former champ and rival Cody Garbrandt, who he knocked out last November at Madison Square Garden to claim the title. If one title fight wasn’t enough, the co-main event features flyweight king Demetrious Johnson who is looking to extend his UFC record for most consecutive title defenses when he faces off against Olympic gold medalist Henry Cejudo for the second time.

Before the bouts could become official, however, all fighters had to step onto the scale for the weigh-ins and then square off one final time ahead of their Saturday night showdowns at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The weigh-ins will take place at Bell The Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles, near the host venue for Saturday’s pay-per-view. The weigh-ins will take place shortly after a special UFC 25th Anniversary press conference which will feature more than a dozen fighters who will be stepping into the Octagon in the final quarter of the year.

Have you ever seen a goat invasion? Well, it may not be a normal occurrence, but people in a Boise, Idaho neighborhood got to experience first-hand what can happen when a bunch of goats are on the loose. More than 100 goats, in fact.

On Friday, approximately 118 goats invaded a Boise neighborhood and began “eating everything in sight.”

Perhaps the most entertaining part of the story is that no one has any idea where the goats came from, but they were hungry and traveling in a large group. Video of the goat invasion surfaced on social media.

Joe Parris of KTVB was on the scene and showed off some hilarious photos of the goats congregating and chowing down on one poor resident’s yard.

“Residents in a West Boise neighborhood woke up to an unusual sight Friday morning: About 100 goats strolling through their yards and down the street. Neighbors say the herd showed up on Summerwind Drive off of Five Mile Road at about 7 a.m., and got to work, snacking on lawns and flower bushes, and stripping the leaves from trees.”

Eventually, the owners of the goats — a company named “We Rent Goats” — came to collect their animals that were grazing in a nearby field before they made a run for it.

Ashley Greene is an American actress and model who is perhaps best known for playing Alice Cullen in the film adaptations of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight novels.

Greene was born in Jacksonville, Florida, on  February 21, 1987. While initially wanting to be a model, Greene was told she was too short, so she transitioned to acting. After high school, Greene moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting.

Greene’s major breakthrough came when she was cast as Alice Cullen in the Twilight series. Greene portrayed Alice in Twilight, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.

Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson is an American mixed martial artist and current flyweight champion in the UFC. After winning the flyweight championship in the first-ever UFC Flyweight Tournament in September of 2012, Johnson successfully defended the title 11 straight times, the most in UFC history. Due to his success as a flyweight and consistent excellence in the octagon, Johnson has made a name for himself as one of the greatest pound-for-pound fighters of all-time. Early Life (1986-2009):

Johnson was born in Madisonville, Kentucky but grew up in Parkland, Washington, outside of Tacoma. Johnson attended Washington High School in Tacoma where he participated in wrestling and track. At the time, bantamweight was the smallest weight class in the WEC but Johnson was still undersized compared to much of his competition. Johnson’s next fight was supposed to be against Clint Godfrey in September of 2010. However, once Godfrey was dropped from the card, Nick Pace was slated as his replacement. Johnson defeated Pace via decision despite the fact that he was four inches shorter and Pace was undefeated at the time. Johnson also won his next fight against Damacio Page via a guillotine choke in the third round.

In October of 2010, the UFC bought out WEC. Johnson won his UFC debut against Norifumi Yamamoto via decision. Johnson also won his next fight, a May 2011 bout against Miguel Torres, despite the fact that he broke his fibula early in the fight. Johnson used his superior wrestling skills to out-point Torres even though he had little ability to put any weight on his leg. In October of 2011, a year after joining the UFC, Johnson was awarded a shot at the UFC Bantamweight Championship. Johnson faced off Dominic Cruz but lost via decision. Johnson was briefly linked to another fight within the bantamweight division until the UFC announced the creation of a flyweight division. Johnson invited by the UFC to participate in a four-man tournament to determine the first flyweight champion.

2012-Present:UFC Flyweight & Championship

Johnson opened the semi-finals of the flyweight tournament against Ian McCall in March of 2012. The two put on a spectacular fight that ended in a draw and earned them the Fight of the Night award. As a draw did not do anything to progress the tournament, a rematch was scheduled for just three months later. In June of 2012, Johnson defeated McCall via decision. In September of 2012, Johnson faced Joseph Benavidez in the tournament finals with the first flyweight championship on the line. Johnson won via split decision and was crowned flyweight champion.

Johnson has been on a tear in the UFC ever since, successfully defending his title 11 straight times. In 2016, the UFC produced a season of The Ultimate Fighter (a reality show in which fighters compete to earn a spot on the UFC roster) designed to find new competition for Johnson to face, as many felt the flyweight division was not deep enough and Johnson had already defeated anyone who could be considered a legitimate contender. The UFC invited 16 fighters from smaller companies that all currently held championships for their promotions, naming the season The Tournament of Champions. In the end, Tim Elliot of Titan Fighting Championships won the tournament and was awarded with a shot against Johnson. Johnson won via decision but many considered it to be one of Johnson’s biggest challenges since winning the title. Johnson has won all of his fights since the draw against Ian McCall in 2012.

While promoting the latest M:I installment, the wildly fun Fallout, Cruise revealed that he’s “thought about” traveling to space.

“It’s like how do we do it? It’s the mechanics of getting it there,” he said. “How do you build a sequence there and how long can we have that sequence? Because if I went up and just dropped, how do you put that into the structure of a screenplay of a mission?”

Of course, Tom Cruise — new Florida resident, by the way — has thought about bringing the Mission Impossible franchise to space, considering he’s done about every stunt possible on Earth.

Conor McGregor is back. On Friday, Aug. 3, the Ultimate Fighting Championship confirmed that McGregor will return to action this fall for a meeting with current UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. The fight was officially announced during a special 25th anniversary press conference in Los Angeles.

Nurmagomedov vs. McGregor will take place Saturday, Oct. 6 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas live on pay-per-view.

The official announcement of the lightweight title fight comes just days after the brash Irishman spoke to TMZ Sports and said that an agreement for the bout was “close.”

Conor McGregor last fought in the UFC on November 12, 2016, defeating Eddie Alvarez to claim the UFC lightweight championship. At the time of his big win, McGregor became the first fighter in UFC history to hold two titles in two different weight classes simultaneously; he was also the featherweight champion at the time.

Since that fight, McGregor was stripped of both belts, welcomed his first child to the world, and dabbled in the boxing world for a superfight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. Now, he is finally ready to step back into the cage to attempt to reclaim the title that he believes is still his.

Nurmagomedov, meanwhile, claimed the vacant UFC lightweight title at UFC 223 on April 7, 2018 in Brooklyn, New York. Nurmagomedov scored a unanimous decision victory win over Al Iaquinta in the main event. Khabib was initially scheduled to fight Tony Ferguson for the title, but the bout fell through in the final days leading up to the event and Iaquinta stepped up on short notice.

There are currently no other bouts scheduled for the event, but we can expect fights to be added in the coming weeks.

The best time of the year is not Christmas, not Thanksgiving, not your birthday, but the weekend of San Diego Comic Con. A place where everything you could ever imagine is crammed into a convention center. Well, not everything you can dream of, flying pigs and fairies aren’t at comic con, but there are people dressed like that there. But, it’s not just the people who dress up, it’s the colors, the booths, the comics. Celebrities are walking around from our favorite TV shows and movies, boxes of our favorite comic books, artists, and writers interacting with comic fans. There are so many amazing things that come out of the comic con, and here are our five reasons you should attend SDCC.

Building Comic Collection

It’s in the name, comic con. You will find loads of comic books ranging from volumes to single issues, even to graded comics. For those avid collectors, SDCC is a gold mind for adding to their collections. Old, new, vintage, gold, silver, all kinds of comics. Marvel, DC, IDW, and more are coming out with comics every month. Comics are where our favorite superheroes were born. You will find the 5 cent comic books at every comic booth. And if you find or have single issues in excellent condition, go grade them and make them worth even more than they already are. Sometimes if you have a clean, protected Spider-Man issue that’s signed by the writer or artist, it could be $100, get it graded and triple that price. Comic-con is heaven for comic books.

Easter Egg Hunts

There are so many exclusive poster, art, figurines, shirts, and comics, everyone is looking for them. Like an Easter egg hunt, people will go hunting for this one specific exclusive. They will search every booth to find this exclusive. Their life depends on them finding it. They will go to every booth at least five times in the four days they are there. They will rest at nothing until they find what they are looking for. Because once they find it, they will go looking for a new exclusive. It’s like the circle of life for them, they hunt, they find, they’re happy, then they move on and find the next one.

Celebrity Interactions

SDCC has its celebrities roaming around the show floor. There are three ways you can interact with celebrities that are not through interviews or panels. One accidentally bumps into them either on the street, entrance or inside the convention center. Two, they will do a signing inside the exhibit hall. And three, this is one that most people can never be sure if it’s a celebrity or not. Most celebrities like to go on the show floor but don’t want to get caught by a massive crowd of fans. Their solution is to dress up and cover their face with a mask. So, some fans who pose with a random person dressed in a superhero costume could be taking a picture with Tom Holland.

Seeing Your Business Hero’s

Comic-Con isn’t just a place to show for comics and see the latest trailers before they are released. Comics start with a writer and artist, and those writers and artists are at the convention. A lot of comic fans look up to these writers and artists, this is their chance to meet their heroes. People get to meet the professionals who helped them start their career in writing or artistry. It’s an experience, and getting the chance to thank them is fulfilling and worth every penny.

Being Your Inner Child

Everyone wants to be a hero, or a princess, or a sports star, or a leader, pretty much whatever their imagination wants to take them. Comic-Con is the home to bringing out everyone’s inner child. Comic-Con isn’t just a natural playground, it’s a playground for people of all ages. Watching people enter Comic-Con is like watching a child’s eyes light up in a candy store. There is no better feeling in the world than feeling like a kid.

Duke football has been close on a number of occasions to reaching the top ten and being a real BCS contender. In the seasons where they’ve been close, it has been a loss to a low-level ACC team that ruins their dreams. This example points to how equal the ACC bottom teams are, and how this is an opportunity every season for one of them to have a big year. Head coach David Cutcliffe has done a good job of recruiting and his Blue Devils always seem to be in close games. Whether or not they can win those close games will determine the fate of their 2018 campaign.

2018-2019 Summary

The Blue Devils will be one of the more intriguing stories to watch for in 2018. They boast a team that is capable of 10 wins with their strength of schedule; on the flip side things could just as easily go wrong and they could be looking at 10 losses. David Cutcliffe has his work cut out for him as this schedule features all teams with a chance to finish the season as a top 40 team in the country. One of the core problems with the ACC is it is wide open for one of the bottom dwellers to put together an eight or nine-win season thanks to everyone being about equal except for the few teams at the top. With the exception of Clemson and NC Central, Duke’s win probability will be between 40 and 60 percent in every other game; this essentially is saying these games are a coin toss. A large part of the success will be determined by the play of quarterback Daniel Jones and halfback Brittian Brown. If these guys can have big years and lead an explosive offense, they will be a lot closer to nine wins than three. Our predictions play the safe side and have them with an even six wins and six losses.

There’s nothing quite in the world like Iowa football under coach Kirk Ferentz.  With a fan base full of optimism year in and year out, the Hawkeyes somehow always to manage to have a seven or an eight-win season. Sometimes they are overachievers, other times they disappoint with a loaded roster; moral of the story is they will still hit that same win mark. However, with as favorable of a schedule can be in the Big Ten, Iowa has a great shot at reaching the 10 win mark. Avoiding the likes of Michigan, Michigan State, and Ohio State even sets them up for an 11-win season and a possible BCS birth. The roster doesn’t scream national contender or rebuilder, but it is certainly capable of taking either path. In our predictions, we avoid the ladder.

2018-19 Summary

An 11-win season for head coach Kirk Ferentz seems a bit unheard of for the perennial 8-4 or 7-5 Hawkeyes. Not to mention, the talent on this roster isn’t anything that is going to jump off the page, but as proven in the past, with the right schedule, Ferentz is capable of getting a double-digit win season out of his guys. With Nate Stanley returning at quarterback, along with two receivers and two tight ends that make up one of the best pass-catching units in the conference, 10 wins is indeed doable. The first four weeks of the season are going to tell the tale for the Hawkeyes with matchups against a solid Northern Illinois squad, a solid Iowa State squad, and a perennial tough matchup with Wisconsin. In this scenario, we see Iowa taking all three with an upset against Wisconsin. There secondary is a huge question mark right now, and Iowa’s best strength is their passing attack so it would not be surprising at all to see the Hawkeyes come out on top in that huge game. As far as the rest of their Big Ten play goes, the only matchup they will undoubtedly be an underdog in is the game against national contender Penn State. It would be miraculous for Ferentz group to pull off the upset in State College, but it would be relatively normal if they won out the rest of the way and finished the year at 11-1. With that said, if they don’t start the season 4-0 or 3-1, expect the usual seven to an eight-win season.

Dillashaw began his career in the UFC by winning the 14th season of The Ultimate Fighter to win a contract with the company. T.J. Dillashaw was born February 7, 1986, in Sonora, California. He wrestled for Bret Harte High School in Angels Camp, California. During his high school wrestling career, Dillashaw wrestled to a record of 170-33, including a 52-6 senior season in which he placed second in state championships.

Dillashaw attended California State University, Fullerton, on a full-ride scholarship for wrestling. Dillashaw trained at Reign Training Center for almost two years before moving back closer to home in Angels Camp and joining Team Alpha Male. Dillashaw’s first professional fight was a win by unanimous decision and shortly after picked up another win, a first-round submission against Brandon Drucker. Dillashaw ended up with a record of 4-0 before trying out for the 14th season of The Ultimate Fighter reality show. During his time on TUF, Dillashaw was coached by Michael Bisping. Dillashaw won all of his fights on the show to earn a spot on the finale card. The finale was a match against John Dodson, which Dillashaw lost by TKO early in the first round.

2011-2016: UFC & The First Title

After losing to Dodson, Dillashaw continued in the UFC. Between February of 2012 and April of 2013, Dillashaw won four straight fights, three of which he finished by either submission or knockout. In October of 2015, Dillashaw lost to Raphael Assuncao via split decision and earned the Fight of the Night. Dillashaw recovered from the loss with a decision win over Mike Easton and earned a shot at the bantamweight title.

In May of 2014, Dillashaw faced off against Renan Barao with the title on the line. Dillashaw knocked out Barao in the fifth round to win the title and also earned Fight of the Night and Performance of the Night honors. Announcer Joe Rogan called Dillashaw’s performance “the greatest performance” he had ever seen.

A rematch against Barao was immediately scheduled. However, after Barao was admitted to the hospital due to his attempts to cut weight for the fight, Dillashaw was forced to defend the belt against Joe Soto. Dillashaw knocked out Soto in the fifth round. In July of 2015, Dillashaw got his rematch against Barao and won via knockout in the fourth round, earning him his third consecutive Performance of the Night Award.

In January of 2016, Dillashaw defended his belt against former champion Dominick Cruz. Dillashaw lost the belt via a split decision and the fight earned the Fight of the Night award.

2016-Present: Second Title Reign

Dillashaw won his next two fights via decision; a rematch against Assuncao and a fight against John Lineker. Dillashaw received another championship shot in November of 2016 against Cody Garbrandt. Dillashaw defeated Garbrandt via a second-round knockout, earning him his second championship and his fourth-career Performance of the Night honor.

A rematch against Garbrandt is scheduled for August 4, 2018, at UFC 227.

Disney is a place and name that brings a smile to all of our faces. We have all grown up on the famous red pant wearing mouse that oddly doesn’t wear a shirt. With the music, parks, characters, and movies, there is so much magic that comes out of Disney. But, is Disney losing that magic they once had?

Disney produced thousands of movies that were different from the rest, each one better than the other. Then there was Pixar, animation, Claymation, live action, they all created the magical world of Disney. But, there has been originality in the past few years. Which leads us to ask the question again, has Disney lost its original magic?

Don’t get us wrong; everyone loves the live action remakes of old Disney classics. But, that’s why we are asking the question. Disney has done so many live-action remakes and sequels, but where is the originality? We can’t complain too much because we got to see the development of our old childhood movies get a second one. Like the poorly done Finding Dory movie and the successful Incredible 2. Or the live action dark Beauty and The Beast that made Emma Watson look even more like Herminie Granger.

The upcoming Disney movies include the live action remakes of Dumbo and The Lion King. And the animation sequels of Frozen 2 and Ralph Breaks the Internet. And of course, we can’t forget the sad decision of Pixar coming out with a Toy Story 4, which they should have ended at Toy Story 2. Disney got a little creative with their live action movies with releases like Christopher Robin, Mary Poppins Returns, and The Nutcracker and the Four Realms. But, again, where is the originality there? The Nutcracker is like the movie that will never die, break the stupid nutcracker already. Christopher Robin as an older man, a four-year-old could have created that idea. Mary Poppins was a good twist but, like all critiques ask, will Emily Blunt be as good as Julia Andrews? We have to wait and then find out if we are disappointed or not, Disney may surprise us.

We hope Disney does well in producing these movies, especially The Lion King, who doesn’t want to see Beyoncé on the big screen as a lion? And we also hope Emily Blunt does live up to the expectation of the Julia Andrews Mary Poppins; she did give us goosebumps during the teaser trailer.

Disney needs to step up their game with creativity. Sequels and remakes can help with getting money and attention from older fans, but it leaves them at a standstill pedestal. Disney, at one point, was at an incline for the income they had and the rise in popularity. But, if they stay with their lack of creativity Universal Studios and DreamWorks will catch up. Oh, who are we kidding, no one will ever touch Disney. They could do anything they want and still make money with their movies and merchandise. It’s Disney, we can bash on them for their lack of creativity, but they are still getting credit because we are talking about them. Once people stop talking about them, that’s when they need to start worrying.
