Johnny Manziel has been traded from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats to the Montreal Alouettes: one of only two teams in the CFL with a 1-4 record.

In addition to the former Heisman Trophy winner, offensive linemen Tony Washington and Landon Rice were sent to Montreal in exchange for defensive end Jamaal Westerman, wide receiver Chris Williams and first-round picks in 2020 and 2022.

Manziel — still somehow just 25 — never even played for Hamilton as he was stuck behind probable MVP Jeremiah Masoli. Masoli, the former University of Oregon quarterback, tied a CFL record with nine straight 300-yard passing games before the team’s Week 5 bye this season.

Manziel, 25, never saw the field for Hamilton, which has been led by quarterback Jeremiah Masoli. Masoli tied a CFL record with nine straight 300-yard passing games before the team’s Week 5 bye.

Manziel will play for first-year Alouettes coach Mike Sherman, who recruited him to Texas A&M in 2011 as the Aggies’ head coach. Manziel redshirted in 2011 and went on to win the Heisman Trophy the following season under new coach Kevin Sumlin.

“This is a move both Kavis Reed and I felt we needed to make at this time,” Sherman, the former Green Bay Packers coach, told the Montreal Gazette. “Neither one of us believes in the status quo and felt we needed to shake things up. Johnny is someone we believe can elevate one of the most important positions on our team.”

Hopefully, Manziel is exactly what the Alouettes need as they ranked dead last in the CFL in points scored.

Besides, whether he plays or not, Johnny Football is doing just fine: According to Jason La Canfora, Manziel has a base salary of $122,000 that went with a $10,000 signing bonus and an $18,000 housing stipend.

Whether you realize it or not, odds are you have probably contributed to these businessmen’s wealth in some way or another. Many found a way to exploit the increased prominence of technology in order to amass their wealth, while others just own a whole bunch of stores. Whatever way it is they obtained their wealth though, the point is that they are richer than you, and apparently, according to The Guardian just the eight richest of them have a combined wealth equal to the poorest half of the globe’s population. Yes, you read that right, these guys have the same worth as about 4 billion people! We’re not here to talk about wealth inequality though, we’re here to talk about some real rich dudes so here it goes!

10. Larry Page Net Worth: $53.5 billion

Larry Page was one of the co-founders of Google, which you probably used to find this article. Since its founding, Google has gone on to become the most popular search engine in the world, and Page’s net worth is clearly a reflection of that. Not only this but Google also owns some other incredibly prominent companies such as Youtube and Andriod which have only helped to increase Page’s worth.

9. Larry Ellison Net Worth: $58.5 billion

As many did on this list, Larry Ellison made his fortune through software development as CEO and founder of the Oracle Corporation. Mainly focusing on Database technology, the company grew to become one of the largest database management firms out there, and as he owns 27% of the company he has been able to sell some of his stock in order to become one of the richest men alive today. He has used his wealth to become a real estate mogul as well and has properties in Japan, Malibu, Hawaii, San Fransisco and more. Unlike many on this list though, he has fully embraced the billionaire lifestyle and is said to own a yacht and home both apparently worth over $200 million dollars.

As CEO and vice president of Koch Industries, it would appear that the Koch brothers aren’t doing too bad for themselves. The sons of Fred Koch, who invented a revolutionary way to refine oil, they inherited his business and went on to grow it into the empire that it is today. Koch Industries is considered to be one of, if not the largest privately owned company in the world and has subsidiaries involved in petroleum, energy, fiber, minerals, paper and a whole bunch of other important things that can make you a lot of money. The two of them combined are worth more than $100 billion and both are known to actively use their money to contribute to conservative and libertarian candidates.

7. Carlos Slim Helú Net Worth: $67.1 billion

The richest man in Mexico, Carlos Slim Helú is a Mexican business magnate, investor, and philanthropist. The majority of his wealth comes from investments in a huge variety of businesses ranging from real estate to beverage distributors, airlines and many more. The majority of his wealth comes from telecommunications though, where he has a 57% stake in the mobile phone company America Movil, as well as being one of the primary investors of Telemax, which by 2006 operated 90% of Mexican telephone lines. Helú has since transferred many of his stakes to his six children, but still, Silm is the patriarch of the fortune and therefore gets credit for the wealth he has amassed.

Amancio Ortega is a man who typically tries to avoid the public eye, so it might be a surprise to see his name so high on this list. Don’t let his lack of prominence fool you though, because as the founder of clothing company Inditex, Ortega has amassed a huge fortune and built an empire of clothing stores around the world. Starting from very humble beginnings with the clothing store Zara, Ortega turned the store into a huge chain with over 6,000 locations. In recent years he has gotten involved in real estate as well, and is said to own property in New York, Madrid, and London.

5. Mark Zuckerberg Net Worth: $71 billion

Mark Zuckerberg, has there recently been controversy about him selling massive amounts of public information? Yes, but has that stopped him from being one of the richest people on the planet? Well, you’re reading about him on this list right now so you can probably figure that one out. Gaining his wealth as the CEO and founder of Facebook, Zuckerberg operates what is currently the most popular and widely used website and social media platforms of all time. Because many people put their personal information on the site as well, it’s the perfect platform for advertisers to use to target their ideal customers. Because of this the site probably takes in more ad revenue than any other platform which is why Zuckerberg has accumulated the massive amounts of wealth he has today.

4. Bernard Arnault Net Worth: $72 billion

CEO and chairman of the worlds largest luxury goods company, LVMH, Bernard Jean Étienne Arnault is considered to be the richest person in France, and one of the richest in the world. His company oversees hundreds of independently run luxury clothing brands, but it was a recent deal he closed in 2017 that puts him so high on this list. While just a year ago Arnault wouldn’t have had a spot here, last April he closed a $13.1 billion dollar deal to acquire prominent luxury brand Christian Dior. This deal boosted him from being your average run-of-the-mill billionaire to your above average even wealthier than normal billionaire. Obviously, he is partaking in all the things that go with being a billionaire as well, and in 2015 was said to have bought an island that at the time was available for rent at $300,000 a week.

3. Warren Buffett Net Worth: $84 billion

Considered one of the most successful investors in the world, Warren Buffet has amassed his fortune as the CEO of investment firm Berkshire Hathaway. His company at this point owns huge shares in some of the most prominent companies in the world such as Apple, Bank of America, Coca-Cola and plenty more. He is one of the most active philanthropists as well and has joined The Giving Pledge, which is a campaign in which the world’s billionaires swear to give more than half of their wealth away to charity. Not only this, but he is also known for living extremely humbly despite his incredible amounts of wealth, and his home is reported to be worth only about $600 thousand.

Certainly not a surprise to see on this list, Bill Gates has been known for years to be one of the wealthiest men on the planet. Coming up with the initial rise of developing software as a product, Gates went on to create Microsoft, which has since become the standard for practically all computers that exist. This, of course, is how he initially obtained his massive amounts of wealth, but what he is doing with it now is worth discussing as well. Bill Gates is one of the most active philanthropists there is, and together with his wife has started The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. This organization has done incredible things over the years, the most notable being almost completely eradicating Malaria in Africa through widespread vaccination to countries that otherwise wouldn’t have access to that kind of medicine.

The first person to top $100 billion on the Forbes list of billionaires, Jeff Bezos is absolutely killing it right now. Starting out as a humble books dealer from his garage, it’s really astounding the empire Bezos has been able to build in just a little over twenty years. Amazon has become the premier dealer for pretty much everything you could want to buy online and has given the public the ability to instantly have anything we could ever want, whenever we need it (i.e that time I ordered that pound bag of only green gummy bears). If a successful business is about supply and demand, then Bezos has found a way to supply everything that is in demand which is why he is currently sitting at number one on this list.

DaniLeigh is a Miami-born singer and dancer who is signed to Def Jam Records. DaniLeigh achieved viral fame thanks to her version of the “In My Feelings” challenge, which has since racked up almost 10 million views on Instagram.

DaniLeigh, a Dominican from Miami, moved to Los Angeles in 2011 to pursue her music career. According to Def Jam’s website, DaniLeigh was apparently discovered by Prince before dancing on stage with the likes of Meghan Trainor, Pitbull and Pharell.

She has also played the lead dancer in music videos for Daddy Yankee, Nelly Furtado, and TimeFlies. In 2017, Leigh signed with Def Jam Records.

After being traded to and subsequently waived by the Atlanta Hawks, reports indicate that ten-time NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony is going to sign a $2.4M veteran minimum contract with the Houston Rockets. The Rockets, of course, were one Chris Paul injury away from probably beating the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals this past season.

Melo’s career is in desperate need of revitalization after his one year experiment with Oklahoma City resulted in complete and utter failure as the Thunder did not even make it out of the first round of the playoffs.

However, if Twitter is to be believed, Melo’s career is already done and dusted.

As Twitter — and especially NBA Twitter — does, the trolls were out in full force after news broke that Melo was headed to Houston in pursuit of that ever-elusive championship ring.

With LeBron on the Lakers with the meme team, Melo in Houston with CP3 and Harden, the Thunder resigning Paul George and the Warriors signing Boogie Cousins, this year’s Western Conference race is shaping up to be an all-timer.

Best Twitter Reactions To Carmelo Anthony Impregnating A Dancer

Nathan Flynn has been identified as the firefighter who tragically died after falling through the second floor of a home while fighting a 7-alarm fire in Clarksville, Maryland. Flynn was transported to the hospital following the accident, but ultimately succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

“On behalf of the citizens of Harford County we salute Nate for his service and his bravery, and we are grief-stricken for the young family that he leaves behind. Our community will support them in any way that they need during this difficult time. We pray for Nate, his family, and his fire service brothers and sisters in both counties,” Howard County Executive Barry Glassman said in a statement, via The Baltimore Sun.

It is believed that the fire started due to a lightning strike, with three people making it out of the home safely.

The fire was contained at 10:00 a.m. local time.

Governor Larry Hogan added, “Incredibly saddened to learn of the passing of a Howard County firefighter as he bravely worked to save others’ lives. The First Lady and I send our prayers and deepest condolences to his family, fellow firefighters, and loved ones as we mourn the loss of a hero.”

After learning of Flynn’s tragic passing, Governor Hogan ordered the United States and Maryland State flags to be lowered to half-staff effective immediately in order to honor the hero who died in the line of duty.

Vanessa Kirby, born and raised in raised in Wimbledon, London, is an English actress who is best known for her roles on the Netflix series The Crown and the action movie Mission Impossible: Fallout. Prior to her on-camera career, Kirby was a prominent stage actress.

In 2011, Kirby made her television début in the BBC’s The Hour. In addition to those roles, Kirby starred as Estella in the BBC adaptation of Great Expectations in 2011 and as Joanna in Richard Curtis’ romantic comedy About Time in 2013.

Kirby, born April 18, 1987, portrayed Princess Margaret in Peter Morgan’s Netflix series The Crown from 2016 to 2017.

For her role on The Crown, Kirby won the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Television Series and received a nomination for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2018.

While Kirby may not be very well known among mainstream movie fans, she’s certainly respected in the industry itself, as Variety once said that Kirby is “the outstanding stage actress of her generation” who is “capable of the most unexpected choices.”

Kirby will make here major franchise debut in 2018’s Mission Impossible: Fallout — the sixth movie in the Mission Impossible franchise.

The Big Ten Conference has taken some serious strides in the past few years with a number of teams jockeying for supremacy in the conference. The Big Ten East is the most loaded division in College Football and it is expected to stay that way for years to come. With fall camp approaching, let’s take a look at some early conference power rankings to build the hype for the upcoming College Football season. For the record, Jim Harbaugh still hasn’t won a Big Ten Title. Just putting it out there in case anyone forgot. Okay, now let’s move on.

14. Illinois Fighting Illini

Red Grange is cringing and turning over in his grave. Illinois has been absolutely horrendous with Tim Beckman, Bill Cubit, and Lovie Smith combining for a record of 22-51 since 2012 and it’s not looking too promising for the Illini in 2018. They are relying heavily on the youth movement and will Lovie Smith turn the corner with his team at some point? Or will it be too late if their 12 game losing streak in conference play is extended?

13. Rutgers Scarlet Knights

Rutgers has struggled to find success since joining the Big Ten in 2014. (Why they joined is still a huge question mark). Chris Ash has improved since he took over in 2016 but that next big jump may never come. The Scarlet Knights added Boston College graduate transfer Jon Hilliman to add a spark at running back. However, Gio Rescigno is back and still can’t throw a football if his life depended on it. will Rutgers surpass four wins this season? It shouldn’t take long to figure that out once conference play starts.

12. Minnesota Golden Gophers

I absolutely love what PJ Fleck is doing with this program. Yes, he did go 5-7 in his first year but they showed some real promise for the future. They have been recruiting the state of Florida well and the Gophers will be extremely competitive for years to come. The only concern is that Minnesota has only one scholarship quarterback on its roster. If that one player gets hurt, things could get disastrous real quick.

11. Maryland Terrapins

Year three for DJ Durkin and they are a lot closer than Rutgers to turning the corner. If Kasim Hill and Tyrell Pigrome were not nipped by the injury bug last year, the Terps may have finished better than 4-8. The pieces are there for this team to be dangerous with two dual-threat quarterbacks and Ty Johnson at running back. The Maryland run-game will be strong but will the passing game step up? We will find out very soon.

10. Indiana Hoosiers

This team is always just one big question mark heading into every new season. Indiana knows how to keep teams on their toes but can never seem to finish. Peyton Ramsey and Morgan Ellison can be extremely dangerous for the Hoosiers on offense as a serious quarterback and running back duo. Losing Tegray Scales and Greg Gooch on defense will hurt the Hoosiers in 2018. The defense remains the biggest question for this team and it could make or break whether they go to a bowl game or not.

9. Nebraska Cornhuskers

Once Nebraska hired Scott Frost, it was ready to move its way back up. Frost is a former Nebraska quarterback and he is the absolute perfect fit to lead the Cornhuskers. After a disastrous 4-8 season a year ago, he has already made noise on the recruiting trail and Nebraska will make things very interesting in the Big Ten West. They won’t go 15-0 this season but it is very realistic for this team to make a bowl game. Look out everyone, Nebraska is coming back and they’re not messing around anymore.

8. Purdue Boilermakers

Jeff Brohm is an absolute boss. If his locker room speeches don’t make you want to run through a wall, then I don’t know what will get you hyped up. Purdue finished 7-6 after an atrocious Darrell Hazell campaign and things are looking up in West Lafayette. This team will be fun to watch and may potentially be 6-0 going into their October 20th showdown with Ohio State. This team is a sleeper and shouldn’t be taken lightly at any time.

7. Iowa Hawkeyes

Kirk Ferentz always seems to put a solid and extremely competitive squad on the field every single year. They are hard-nosed, blue-collar, and extremely tough. Akrum Wadley and Nate Stanley are returning on offense but losing Josh Jackson and Josey Jewell will hurt the defense a little bit. The Hawkeyes get Wisconsin at Kinnick Stadium this season and you all know what that means! Wisconsin should be on high alert. Consistency is key for this team.

6. Northwestern Wildcats

10 wins in two of the past three seasons, back to back bowl wins, and a beautiful new practice facility; Pat Fitzgerald and his Wildcats are living right now! This team could do some serious damage this year if they stay healthy. Unfortunately, the quarterback issue lingers on as star quarterback Clayton Thorson continues to recover from a torn ACL suffered in last season’s Music City Bowl. The Wildcats should make things very interesting in the Big Ten West this season and for years to come with the addition of former five-star quarterback and Clemson transfer Hunter Johnson.

5. Michigan Wolverines

The Wolverines have felt that Jim Harbaugh is the guy that will lead them to a National Championship. Well, they haven’t even won a Big Ten Title yet. Michigan has yet to find an established quarterback while Harbaugh coaching. The addition of Ole Miss transfer Shea Patterson helps the case that they found a guy. However, will the offensive line hold up and keep Patterson standing upright? The defense shouldn’t be an issue with players like Rashan Gary, Devin Bush, and Lavert Hill leading one of the best units in the country. However, they can be extremely vulnerable at times as we saw at some points in 2017.

4. Michigan State Spartans

Now, this is where things get a little tricky. Deciding the rankings for these last few teams was extremely difficult. Mark Dantonio always seems to find a way to turn his program around after a tough season and the Spartans seemed poised to take another step forward. Brian Lewerke is a serious dual threat at quarterback and it’s the first time under Dantonio that a quarterback can really run. LJ Scott is back and is poised for a fantastic season. MSU beat Penn State and Michigan last year. Will 2018 bring a similar result to 2017? Having experience on both sides of the ball sure helps.

3. Penn State Nittany Lions

ARE! YOU! READY! FOR! PENN! STATE! FOOTBALL! Man, those seven words give me the chills every single time. Penn State lost offensive coordinator Joe Moorhead to Mississippi State, Saquon Barkley declared for the NFL Draft, other offensive and defensive weapons graduated, and now new faces will have to step in. New offensive coordinator Ricky Rahne called the Fiesta Bowl and picked apart Washington’s stout defense for 545 yards. Trace McSorley is back, Miles Sanders is ready to replace Barkley, and it’s not crazy to think that the Nittany Lions can reach 10 wins again. The games against Ohio State, Michigan State, Michigan, and Wisconsin will be huge and three of the four are at home. This team will stay explosive and will be a lot of fun to watch once again.

2. Wisconsin Badgers

Alex Hornibrook is back, the offensive line is ready to make an impact and remain the best line in the Big Ten, the defense is as strong as ever, and Jonathan Taylor is back at running back. That’s pretty much all you could ask for if you’re a Wisconsin fan. Taylor is Heisman Trophy candidate and the Badgers are the clear front-runner in the Big Ten West. The games against Iowa, Michigan, and Penn State will tell us if the Badgers are for real once again.

1. Ohio State Buckeyes

Ohio State just reloads every single year and they seem to never skip a beat once a well-known name graduates or declares for the draft. Nick Bosa is regarded as one of the best defensive ends in the country and J.K. Dobbins is an emerging star at running back. The only possible question mark is at quarterback. Dwayne Haskins has already been named the starter but has very limited experience. The game at Penn State on September 29th could be a game where Ohio State figures out the type of team it has. Will that be the game where some possible inexperience comes into play? The TCU game in Dallas is no cakewalk either. On any given Saturday, anything could happen.

A student from the University of Iowa, Mollie Tibbetts, went missing after going for a run on July 18, 2018. Believed to be staying at the home of her boyfriend’s brother during the time of her disappearance, she reportedly sent her boyfriend a message the same night. Her disappearance sparked extensive searches with Tibbetts’ family trying to find her.

What happened?

The Locate The Missing Twitter account released the following statement concerning Tibbett’s disappearance:

“RT #MollieTibbetts #UIowa student disappears under mysterious circumstances in #Brooklyn #Iowa July 18, 2018 when she left to go jogging and it is unknown if she returned home. Contact the Poweshiek County Sheriff’s Office at 641.623.5679 with any info #Hawkeyes #IowaHawkeyes #IA”

On their official Twitter account, the University of Iowa also issued the following statement:

“Our thoughts are with Mollie Tibbetts’ family and friends. The University of Iowa is monitoring the situation and will offer support as needed.”

The school also linked to the following Facebook post from the Poweshiek County Emergency Management Agency, which described Tibbetts as wearing denim shorts and a red t shirt during the time of her dissappearance, adding that she was 19 years of age; in addition, the post asked people with information to contact 641 623-5679.

The Tibbetts family has been heavily involved with trying to locate Mollie

A Facebook group called “Finding Mollie Tibbets” has been developed to help find information concerning the investigation. On this online campaign, Sandi Tibbetts Murphy wrote the following:

“On behalf of all of us who are Mollie’s family, I want to thank you all for your help, sharing, ideas and prayers. Your love and energy have been nothing short of miraculous to see.”

“As you know, we have several investigators helping us try to find our girl. These folks are experts at their jobs and we have faith in all their efforts and decisions. As we get updates from the investigation team, please know that we will share what we can. I know it can be frustrating not to have new information – we feel that too. But we need to balance the needs and integrity of the investigation against the public nature of this group. We ask for your understanding and patience.”

According to The Des Moines Register, Mollie Tibbetts’ aunt, Kim Calderwood, of Brooklyn, described the family’s frustration in trying to locate Mollie in the following statement:

“We’re racking our brains, thinking what can we think of to tell the investigators. It’s the worst thing … to want to fix something you can’t fix.”

As Calderwood explained to the publication, she still has hope that Mollie would be found safe, adding:

“She’s strong and sassy and a fighter and stubborn and she is not a quitter.”

The Gazette

Brady Reiff, a 22-year-old defensive lineman for the University of Iowa football team, was arrested in Iowa City in the early hours of Saturday, July 21, after he allegedly mistook a police car for an Uber.

According to The Gazette, Reiff approached a parked University of Iowa police car on Iowa Avenue around 2 a.m. and attempted to open the vehicle’s passenger door. Police say that when Reiff noticed someone — a cop — sitting in the passenger seat of the cruiser,  he moved to the back door and attempted to open that instead.

The arrest report states that a breathalyzer test showed that Reiff’s blood alcohol content was .204 at the time of his arrest, which more than twice the legal limit of .08%.

When asked what he was doing, police said Reiff asked for a ride home. “He thought that was our job,” the police report states.

When asked if he thought the vehicle was an Uber, police said Reiff replied “Yes.” Reiff was taken to Johnson County Jail and released at about 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

“We are aware of the incident and are currently gathering additional facts,” UI Athletic Director Gary Barta said in a statement, adding that Reiff would be subject to the school’s Student-Athlete Code of Conduct and the rules of the Hawkeye football program.

Reiff, a junior Hawkeye who is the younger brother of Minnesota Vikings offensive tackle Riley Reiff, recorded 13 tackles, one tackle for loss, and one sack, last season. He is expected to be a starter this upcoming season.

John Cowell has been identified as the suspect who fatally stabbed 18-year-old Nia Wilson and injured her 20-year-old sister Tashiya late Sunday night after they got off of a BART train in Oakland at the MacArthur Station. Nia died from the attack, while her sister was transported to the local hospital in critical condition.

From the San Francisco Chronicle:

Ebony Monroe, a cousin of the victims, described Wilson as a “beautiful, sweet person” who loved her cousins, fashion and doing makeup. Monroe said Wilson had a boyfriend who drowned in a lake two years ago, and that she was celebrating his birthday on Sunday.“She needs her justice … she was just an innocent kid, and she didn’t deserve this.” Monroe said. “And he did this for no reason.”Monroe said a witness described the suspect as coming “out of nowhere.”

BART police released photos of Cowell on social media.

A manhunt was immediately underway, with investigators combing through security footage for any possible leads. The suspect was initially described as a heavyset white male around 5-foot-9 who is believed to be in his 20s or 30s.

“If you’re in the Oakland/Berkeley area be alert of your surroundings. A white male 5’9 with spiked hair on the side stabbed 2 sisters on Bart at MacArthur station the police are yet to catch him,” one Twitter user wrote.

Shortly after noon ET, BART police found a knife at a construction site near the MacArthur station where the attack took place. There search continued into the evening until the suspect was located.

Elissa Harrington, a reporter at KTVU in the Bay Area, shared a close-up photo of the knife though it was unknown whether it was used in the attack at the time it was discovered.

The attack was believed to be random, and there is currently no motive for the attack.

That said, it’s actually a little hard to pinpoint just how National Tequila Day started. But seriously, do we really need an excuse to celebrate tequila?

John Cowell has been identified as the suspect in the stabbing death of Nia Wilson. Wilson’s sister, Tashiya,, was also critically injured during an attack late Sunday night at the MacArthur BART station in Oakland.

From the BART police:

Investigators also recovered valuable evidence at the scene of the crime.  All of that has helped BART Police to identify the suspect as 27-year-old John Lee Cowell.  Cowell is Caucasian, stands 5’ 8”, and weighs 190 pounds.  Cowell has short, dark hair as well as a closely cropped beard and mustache.  Cowell should be considered dangerous and anyone who sees him should immediately call 9-1-1.

Three photos of the 27-year-old suspect were also shared with the public as he remains at large. Cowell reportedly approached Wilson and her sister and slashed their throats with a knife. He was able to flee the scene

BART also shared details of the attack and the response from first responders.

The BART Police Department is releasing images of the suspect wanted for fatally stabbing 18-year-old Nia Wilson and wounding her sister at MacArthur Station Sunday night.  BART police officers were already at MacArthur Station when the incident occurred at approximately 9:36 pm and were flagged down about a male suspect on the platform with a knife.  Officers arrived on the platform and found two women suffering from stab wounds.  Officers immediately began rendering aid to the victims until paramedics arrived.  Nia Wilson succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.  Her sister was taken to a nearby hospital.

Our deepest condolences are with the Wilson family during this difficult time. Hopefully law enforcement will be able to locate Cowell and bring him to justice before he injures anyone else.

One of the victims of the Danforth shooting, in which two people were shot in Toronto this past Sunday night, has been identified as Reese Fallon, a recent high school graduate from Toronto’s Malvern community. She was 18 years old at the time of her passing.

What happened?

According to Global News, police in Toronto confirmed that an 18-year-old woman and a 10-year-old girl were killed in a mass shooting that took place in Toronto’s Greektown neighborhood, with 13 other people injures, with 16 people shot in total, including the alleged shooter.

According to officials, a 29-year-old man, believed to be the suspect behind the shooting, was killed following an exchange of gunfire with police. At this time, the identity of the suspect has not yet been released to the public, although police said that they quickly identified the suspect at the scene; officials are also said to be investigating the motive behind the shooting.

The 18-year-old victim who lost her life was later identified by officials as Reese Fallon; at this time, the identity of the younger victim has not yet been released to the public.

Who is Reese Fallon?

According to Global News, police confirmed Reese had been one of the victims in the shooting the Monday following the incident.

Fallon was a recent high school graduate who was from Toronto’s Malvern community. This upcoming fall, she had planned to attend McMaster University, where she would have studied nursing.

According to City News Toronto, Local MP Nathaniel Erskine-Smith, who had identified Fallon as one of the victims, said that she was celebrating a birthday with two friends on the Danforth during the time of the shooting. Her two friends were also shot during the incident and are currently in the hospital.

According to The Star, Erskine-Smith issued the following statements concerning Fallon, speaking on behalf of her family, although he did not explicitly confirm her death:

“She was full of passion and she cared about making a difference in the world and this is a huge loss.”

“Reese was a wonderful young woman. She was full of energy. She was whip smart.”

“You see violence in the city but certainly in safe places in our community, on the Danforth where this happened, you certainly never expect to see something like this.”

Witness Ali Demircan claimed that he saw an injured woman who matched Fallon’s photograph, and who was holding her arm where she appeared to have been shot, approached him and asked him to call 911 during a break in the shooting, but was unable to as the shooting reignited.

What Does Brock Lesnar’s Future With The WWE Look Like?

Robert De Niro is in talks to star alongside Joaquin Phoenix in 2019’s ‘Joker’ origin story. It is understood that De Niro would play a talk show host who is “somehow instrumental” in the legendary villain’s comeuppance. The film, simply titled Joker, will be released in theaters on October 4, 2019.

Joker is being directed by Todd Phillips (The Hangover, War Dogs) from a script that he co-wrote with Scott Silver (8 Mile, The Fighter).

While plot details are largely unknown, the stand-alone is supposed to be set in Gotham City in the early 1980s and is going to be more of a drama and character study than an explosion-filled fight-fest action movie.

If a deal is made, De Niro would play a talk show host who is somehow instrumental in the Joker’s origin.

De Niro has won or been nominated for his work in such classics as The Godfather: Part 2 and Raging Bull, appeared in crime dramas and thrillers such as Goodfellas and Heat, and even comedies such as the Meet the Parents series and Analyze This. And while he has occasionally dipped a toe in fantastical or fantasy fare with The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle or Stardust, he has eschewed the material and has certainly avoided comic book movies.

But the Joker stand-alone is being developed as no ordinary comic book movie. The budget is in the $55 million range, significantly lower than most comic book tentpoles that feature characters from Marvel or DC. And the stand-alone is said to be a character exploration as well as a drama, not a fight-fest.

Production on Joker is set to begin in September. While I have largely been a vocal critic of making an origin movie about the Joker (he’s so mysterious even Batman himself doesn’t know his “origins”), adding a legend like De Niro to a key role is certainly a step in the right direction.

As for which character De Niro will be playing, there are three likely options in my semi-professional opinion:

A) David Endocrine: Endocrine is a talk-show host that is murdered by the Joker in the animated version of The Dark Knight Returns Part 2. The Joker is appearing on Endocrine’s show to show that he is a changed man, which, of course, he’s not.

B) Jack Ryder: Ryder is an “investigative reporter turned controversial talk show host” that appears in the Arkham video games and Batman: The Animated Series.

C) An entirely new character created specifically for the movie.

Faisal Hussain, 29, has been identified as the person responsible for the mass shooting in Toronto, Canada that left two people dead and another 12 people injured.  One of the injured victims is reportedly a young girl. Hussain was later found dead, although it was not immediately clear whether he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound or from police gunfire.

According to various reports, three people have been killed and 12 others were injured after Hussain opened fired with a handgun near the intersection of Danforth and Chester Avenues on Sunday, July 23.

The gunman was later found dead after a shootout with police. Hussain is one of the three deceased. The other two deceased is a 10-year-old girl and an 18-year-old woman. One of the victims was identified as 18-year-old Reese Fallon.

While speaking to reporters at a news conference following the shooting, Toronto Chief Mark Saunders said: “We do not know why this has happened yet…I’m certainly not going to invite any type of speculation.”

Authorities have still yet to specify a motive.

Officers confronted the gunman, who was identified only as a 29-year-old man, on a nearby street and exchanged gunfire with him, the authorities said. The gunman ran from the police and was found dead on a street.

One of the two victims killed was a woman, Chief Mark Saunders of the Toronto Police Service said early Monday; no information was available about the other person. A girl, around 8 years old, was in critical condition, Chief Saunders said.

The authorities said they had not identified a motive in the shooting, which started on Danforth Avenue, and the chief said he would not rule out terrorism. The police were seeking information from witnesses and the public. The department’s Special Investigations Unit, which reviews shootings involving the police, was also investigating.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau released the following statement on Twitter:

“My thoughts are with everyone affected by the terrible tragedy on the Danforth last night in Toronto, and may the injured make a full recovery. The people of Toronto are strong, resilient and brave – and we’ll be there to support you through this difficult time.”

The SIU will perform an autopsy on Hussain — who was from Toronto — tomorrow, Tuesday, July 24.

In the wake of the shooting, Toronto mayor John Tory asked the question: “Why does anyone in this city need to have a gun at all?”

29-year-old Faisal Hussain has been identified as the suspect responsible for the shooting in Toronto that left two victims dead and another 12 people injured. The suspect was from Toronto.

According to reports, three people — including the shooter — have died and 12 more were injured after Faisal Hussain opened fired near the intersections of Danforth and Chester Avenue in Toronto on Sunday, July 23. He was reportedly using a handgun.

The Special Investigations Unit confirmed police interacted with the suspect on Bowden Street before he fled and was found dead from a gunshot wound a short distance away on Danforth. Police have yet to clarify whether the fatal wound was self-inflicted or a result of police gunfire.

In addition to the shooter, a 10-year-old girl and an 18-year-old woman were killed. Reese Fallon, 18, was identified as one of the deceased.

The Atlantic Coast Conference presents some of the most recognizable brands in College Football and it is primed for yet another exciting season. Clemson and Miami are poised to meet again in the ACC Championship Game with both teams dominating their respected divisions. However, the question that lingers on is will there be a team that makes a huge jump and surprises the rest of College Football? Well, we will find out once the season begins. Now without further hesitation, let’s take a look at the ACC Preseason Power Rankings.

14. Virginia Cavaliers

Bronco Mendenhall definitely has his work cut out for him. Virginia did make it to a bowl game last season but it was not pretty at all. Inexperience on both sides of the ball and a JUCO transfer at quarterback doesn’t make life any easier in Charlottesville. This team will struggle in 2018 and it’s going to take time until the Cavaliers find their way again in regards to being competitive.

13. North Carolina Tar Heels

Larry Fedora just seems to be in an absolute mess at the moment. The Tar Heels have a number of holes that need to be filled on both sides of the ball and the situation isn’t very pretty. Quarterback, wide receiver, and the defensive line positions are wide open and it is extremely hard to tell what this team is going to do in 2018. If the young players step up, this could be a surprise team. However, if the production isn’t there, it could be another disastrous season in Chapel Hill.

12. Syracuse Orange

Syracuse has not been to a bowl game since 2013 and it’s time for Dino Babers’s team to step up. After beating No. 2 Clemson last season, the Orange lost five straight and it just got really ugly at the end of the season. The Orange finished 4-8 and gave up 162 in those final five losses. Consistency is the biggest issue for this team, especially on defense. If Eric Dungey can produce at quarterback and the defense finds their way, this team will go to a bowl game.

11. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

The buzz around this team is what kind of offensive and defensive production will they get? Georgia Tech is one of those teams that you need to keep an eye on every weekend because you have absolutely no idea which team will show up. The triple option offense is so difficult to stop when it’s run right. Georgia Tech can put up points. The Yellow Jacket defense will be much better in 2018 but a difficult schedule is the only barrier between them and a bowl game.

10. Pittsburgh Panthers

Aside from their attendance, which we know is a complete disaster, this team has to address the offense. The defense will be the strength of this team and it may be the best defense Pat Narduzzi will have in his time at Pitt. Kenny Pickett did upset No. 2 Miami last season. However, he still has quite a bit of inexperience. The Panthers lost Quadree Henderson and Jester Weah at receiver and that position is the biggest area of concern on this team. If their receivers do not establish themselves, this offense will lack production and get smothered.

9. Duke Blue Devils

Daniel Jones is returning at quarterback, the linebackers are one of the best units in the ACC, and the secondary is getting a whole lot better. Duke has the potential to turn some heads this season after a 7-6 2018 campaign. This team has the potential to reach eight wins and even beyond that. The lingering concern that still persists is whether the offensive line has found some stabilization. If Duke’s offensive line becomes just slightly better, watch out.

8. Louisville Cardinals

Let’s begin the life after Lamar Jackson era. Jawon Pass will be the man under center for the Cardinals in 2018 and he has big shoes to fill. The offense is expected to remain explosive but the defense has been absolutely gashed over the past few years. If the defense can find success under yet another defensive coordinator, the some of the weight will be taken off of Pass’s shoulders and he can focus on not being Lamar Jackson 2.0.

7. Wake Forest Demon Deacons

Dave Clawson has been doing an absolutely remarkable job with a team that is usually in the bottom of the ACC every single year. Although this team lost a whole lot from last year’s Belk Bowl Championship team like John Wolford, Jessie Bates, and a large part of the defensive line, there is also a lot of optimism. The offensive line is one of the better and more experienced lines in the ACC and it will give new quarterback Kendall Hinton something to work with.

6. NC State Wolfpack

First things first, look at how sharp these black uniforms are. If you’re an NC State fan, you have to be happy knowing that you have one of the best quarterbacks in the country in Ryan Finley on your team. The Wolfpack are now turning from a defensive heavy team to an offensive heavy team. Bradley Chubb and plenty of other defensive studs have been drafted and the receivers are some of the best in the ACC. This team can be extremely dangerous if they click right from the get-go.

5. Virginia Tech Hokies

The biggest concern for this team is completely rebuilding the defense. Bud Foster will have his work cut out for him and it’s going to be tough replacing the Edmunds brothers alongside a number of others. Justin Fuente is a coach that really knows how to work with his players and get the best out of them. The Hokies will take a bit of step back but the fire and intensity we see from this team every year will carry on. There will be hiccups along the way but this Tech team will definitely make the postseason.

4. Boston College Eagles

We may have ourselves a big time shakeup in the ACC this year. After going 7-6 last season, Boston College is loaded and ready to make a statement. The offensive line is one of the best units in the country, the secondary is legit, the receivers have been making huge strides, and AJ Dillon is a Heisman candidate at running back. The Eagles are also one of the smartest teams in the country. Anthony Brown is projected to be the starting quarterback and if he can stay healthy, this BC team will be competitive in every game they play in.

3. Florida State Seminoles

Florida State is true wild-card this year. Willie Taggart has stepped in to replace Jimbo Fisher and there is excitement building in Tallahassee. The Noles won’t go undefeated this year but the future is very bright. Getting DeAndre Francois back from a knee injury helps but there is still a quarterback competition between him and James Blackman. FSU has a lot of talent on their roster and the biggest question is how long will it take for the team to adjust to Taggart’s system. We will find out very soon.

2. Miami Hurricanes

Turnover chain season! This isn’t your Dad’s 1980’s renegade Hurricanes. Miami is one step closer to reaching the promised land after a huge 2017 season. Although it ended in three straight losses, they had a major breakthrough and the Canes are once again in the national title conversation. This team is loaded once again but has Malik Rosier improved? Will the offensive line give enough time to protect the quarterback? If both answers are yes, then this team will do some serious damage and give Clemson a run for their money.

1. Clemson Tigers

The defensive line is back and loaded, the offense is talented, and a quarterback battle is between the best quarterback recruit in the country and the guy who led them to the College Football Playoff. Keep an eye on the battle between Kelly Bryant and Trevor Lawrence at quarterback. Regardless of who the winner is, this team will make the Playoff again and they have the potential to win it all this year.
