We’ve all heard of having a most valuable player, but how about having a most valuable team or even sport franchise? Well, here’s your answer, for at least the first top 10!

That’s right, Forbes has made a list of the most valuable sports franchises in the world right now. By sports, we mean sports. Football, soccer, basketball and even baseball teams appear on this list. So, even if your favorite team is not actually listed on here, try to see if your favorite sport at least shows up! If not, there’s always next year; in fact, we’ll even take a look at how some of these teams fared last year.

Golden State Warriors

Value: $3.1 Billion

We’re starting our list on the West Coast! The Golden State Warriors are a basketball team based in the San Francisco Bay Area in Oakland, California. They’re also the first basketball team to crack the top 10.

New York Giants

Value: $3.3 Billion

It turns out the New York is going to have quite a presence on the list, appearing more than once in the top 10. Starting here, the New York Giants are a professional American football team based in the New York metropolitan area.

Los Angeles Lakers

Value: $3.3 Billion

Wow, the West Coast sure is the place for basketball, with the Los Angeles Lakers, another basketball team based in, well, Los Angeles.

New York Knicks

Value: $3.6 Billion

That’s not to say the East Coast doesn’t do basketball. The New York Knicks are a team based in Manhattan, New York.

New England Patriots

Value: $3.7 Billion

Let’s give New York and California a break; here are the New England Patriots, an American football team based in the Greater Boston region.

New York Yankees

Value: $4.000 Billion

Yes, even baseball has a place on the list, thanks in part to the New York Yankees, a professional baseball team based in the New York City borough of the Bronx. Last year, the Yankees were the second on the list; despite their fall, they actually increase their value from $3.7 billion to $4.0 billion.

Barcelona

Value: $4.064 Billion

Yes, soccer made it on the list, and the world’s biggest sport made it an international affair. The Futbol Club Barcelona, also known as simply Barcelona or Barça, is a football/soccer blub based in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Interestingly enough, Barcelona was fourth on last year’s list as well.

Real Madrid

Value: $4.088 Billion

It turns out Spain liked the sport well enough to have two “futbol” clubs on the list! Real Madrid, also simply known as Real, is a professional football/soccer club based in Madrid, Spain. In case you were wondering about the name, “real” is the Spanish word for “royal.” While third on the list now, Real Madrid was actually fifth on the list last year.

Manchester United

Value: $4.123 Billion

It should be no surprise that soccer teams made some of the top hits of this list, although this time it was outside of Spain. Manchester United Football Club is a professional football club based in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester, England. Proving their worth, the team was in third place last year, but rose to second.

Dallas Cowboys

Value: $4.8 Billion

Yes, the most valuable franchise is the Dallas Cowboys, a professional American football team based in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. Since last year’s list, the Cowboys have appreciated in value by $600 million.

Not too strong but not too week, Elliot Ness Amber Lager will have you feeling a buzz after two, tipsy after three, and drunk after a six pack, which is exactly how beer should be.

Earlier this week, Complex “broke” the news that Chance the Rapper would be releasing a new album sometime this week. However, unfortunately, while Chance himself was quick to announce that while he would not be releasing a new album this week, he did let us all know that he is, in fact, currently recording one.

But because Chance is a man of the people, he decided to treat us to four new tracks anyway:  “I Might Need Security”, “Work Out”, “Wala Cam” and “65th & Ingleside”.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting new music from Chance the Rapper ever since Grammy-award winning “Coloring Book” was released on May 13, 2016. Whatever Chance does follow up “Coloring Book” with, it’s going to have to be special, as “Coloring Book” was the first ever streaming-only album to win a Grammy.

At this time, there is no word on when Lil Chano will be releasing his next full project — mixtape, album, or otherwise — so there four (obviously dope) songs are just going to have to hold us over until then.

Former NFL Heisman Trophy winner-turned-Minor (soon to be Major???) League Baseball player Tim Tebow has confirmed that he’s dating 2017 Miss Universe winner, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters.

Nel-Peters, a 20-something from South Africa, won the Miss Universe crown at The AXIS theater at Planet Hollywood casino in Las Vegas in November of 2017.

Nel-Peters is the second representative from South Africa to win the crown, defeating Miss Colombia and Miss Jamaica. She isn’t all beauty, though, as she recently earned a business management degree.

When asked about Nel-Peters by ESPN’s Pedro Gomez, Tebow said:

“She is a really special girl and I am very lucky and blessed for her coming into my life. I am usually very private with these things but I am very thankful.”

According to Fox News, Nel-Peters, from the South African coastal community of Sedgefield in the Western Cape province, helped develop a program to train women in self-defense in various situations after she was robbed at gunpoint a month after she was crowned as Miss South Africa.

In 2018, Peters began dating former Heisman trophy winner Tim Tebow.

Can you believe it’s been 10 years — yes, an entire DECADE — since Breaking Bad came out? And because of that glorious show, we now know there are only two types of people in the world: people who think Breaking Bad is the greatest television show to ever exist… and the uneducated (or as Bane would say, the uninitiated).

Yeah, some people will argue that The Sopranos or The Wire deserves the title of GOAT TV show, but those people are wrong. In my humble, amateur opinion, Breaking Bad‘s combination of writing, cinematography, and character development put it at the top (or front, I guess?) of Mount Rushmore.

Which is why, despite the fact that the show has been off the air for five years now, fans still clamor for Breaking Bad content.

To celebrate the 10-year reunion of the show, Conan O’Brien had the entire cast — well, specifically Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, Anna Gunn, Dean Norris, Betsy Brandt, R.J. Mitte, Giancarlo Esposito, and Bob Odenkirk — on his show to discuss their favorite moments, deaths, biggest regrets, and more.

'Better Call Saul' Creator Says Season 4 Will Enter 'Breaking Bad' Timeline

Washington D.C. police have confirmed they responded to an active shooter situation at MedStar Washington Hospital Center.

While D.C. police have confirmed that they responded to the scene at 10 Irving St, ABC said that a hospital spokesperson said that there was no active shooter threat.

Multiple sources have since confirmed to FOX 5 that police were called after a patient, who was upset with his doctor, made threats.

According to reports from local witnesses, the hospital was being evacuated. Furthermore, a shelter in place was also ordered at the nearby Children’s National Medical Center as a precaution.

The MedStar Washington Hospital Center is located at 10 Irving St NW, Washington, D.C., east of the Columbia Heights neighborhood.  At this time, that is all the information available.

The active shooting reports at the MedStar Washington Hospital Center is just the latest in a string of lockdowns, bomb threats, and shootings that have plagued the United States.

This incident follows similar mass shootings in Parkland, Florida; Las Vegas, Nevada; Santa Fe, Texas, Annapolis, Maryland, and many others.

College football’s Power Five conferences are bursting with talent every year. But who’s going to win them?

Every year we see a surprise team, but the Cinderella story doesn’t always have the happy ending we love as sports fans… thanks, Alabama. Most conferences are usually a dogfight, and nothing can ever be decided until conference championship games, but who will be crowned 2018 champions in each of the Power Five conferences?

ACC: Clemson Tigers

Clemson has a load of returning talent, especially along the defensive line. Dexter Lawrence and Christian Wilkins anchor an incredible defensive front for the Tigers, while Kelly Bryant is a competent college quarterback. Five-star recruit Trevor Lawrence is waiting in the wings, ready to take over for Bryant, and the rest of the roster is still beyond solid. This is a team that has made it to the College Football Playoff in each of the last three seasons, led by an excellent coaching staff. Count on Clemson to be in the national championship picture come December.

Big 10: Ohio State Buckeyes

Just like Alabama, Urban Meyer just has a revolving door of four and five-star recruits that follow the same path. They wait in the wings for a year or two, get coached up, become a star for a year or two and leave to the NFL. It’s an incredible system, and it should prove to dominate again this season. Led by sophomore running back J.K Dobbins on offense, and Nick Bosa on defense, the Buckeyes should dominate the same way they do every year. Bosa is arguably the number one prospect for the 2019 NFL Draft, and OSU coaches are raving about new starting quarterback Dwayne Haskins. In all likelihood, unless there are some unforeseen upsets or injuries, Ohio State should be on their way back to the College Football Playoff.

Big 12: West Virginia

The Mountaineers are ready to take a big leap forward this year, behind a potent offense. David Sills V is one of the best wide receivers in the country, and Will Grier is a perfect fit for the team’s air raid style offense. The Big 12 is definitely the land of little defense, but if West Virginia can play decent defense, they can find themselves on top of the conference. Losing Kyzir White to the NFL will be a big hit for the defense, but great teams know how to bounce back from big losses like that.

Pac-12: Washington

Bow Down to Washington. The country will understand by the end of the year, Washington is for real. They have one of the best coaching staffs in the country, led by Chris Petersen. They also have an incredible defense returning all five starters in the secondary that was the best in the Pac-12 last season, and a potent offense with a senior quarterback/running back duo in Jake Browning and Myles Gaskin. Factor that in with a slew of players returning from injury, and Washington has a real shot to make it to the CFP for the second time in three years.

SEC: Alabama

Do we really have to even put anything here? Year after year, Alabama churns out a competitive team. Year after year, they end up with a top recruiting class. Year after year they find a way back to the national championship game. You get the point, Nick Saban teams just don’t lose, and no matter who is at quarterback for the Crimson Tide this year, that should hold true. With a pair of great quarterbacks, a trio of great running backs, and a fierce defense expect nothing less than perfection from the Crimson Tide, we all should just be used to it by this point.

Liberty Bank in Fort Worth, Texas was robbed, with multiple people reportedly being shot. Here is the latest information on what we know. According to multiple reports, three women were shot during the robbery and two women were seriously injured in the process.

From the Fort Worth Star-Telegram:

Two of the women were taken to John Peters Smith Hospital and the third was taken to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, said MedStar spokesman Matt Zavadsky. Their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, but Zavadsky said the gunshot were serious.

There are reportedly two suspects who are still on the loose, with police claiming that both of the suspects are believed to be heavily armed.

This is a developing situation. More information will be added as it becomes available.

Sean Spicer is an American political aide that served as the twenty-eighth White House Press Secretary and as White House Communications Director under Donald Trump. Spicer was born on Long Island and attended a boarding school in Connecticut. In 2011, Spicer became the communications director of the RNC and was given the role of chief strategist for the party in 2015. In July of 2017, Spicer ended up resigning from his position as White House Press Secretary. He made it known to the public once Trump named Anthony Scaramucci as the new White House Communications Director. President Trump was reportedly dissatisfied with Spicer’s performance. Sarah Huckabee Sanders took Spicer’s position and he was still extremely upset with Trump’s decision of appointing Scaramucci.

2017-Present

Spicer had noted on The Sean Hannity Show in late 2017 that he would release a book about his time in the White House during the Trump administration. The book is scheduled to be released on July 24th. In addition to making appearances on a number of talk shows, he was satirized on Saturday Night Live. Melissa McCarthy portrayed Spicer in a number of skits and they were downright hysterical. Spicer had stated that he thought the skits were funny but felt as if McCarthy “could dial back” a bit. Jesus Sean, take a joke for once!

Erin Ludig, a 39-year-old Louisiana teacher’s aide, has been accused of having a relationship with her daughter’s 17-year-old boyfriend.

According to authorities, Ludig turned herself into authorities on Monday, July 16, following allegations that she was involved in a sexual relationship with a D’Arbonne Woods Charter School student.

The Union Parish Sheriff’s Office said the investigation was opened approximately two weeks ago after a parent reported the relationship to school officials.

Sheriff Gates said that Ludig and the unidentified teen “did admit to sending inappropriate text messages and photographs.”

Ludig has been charged with charged with prohibited sexual conduct between an educator and a student.

The D’Arbonne Woods Charter School is located in Farmville, Louisiana.

Ludig is just the latest teacher to be charged for an alleged relationship with a teenager student.  Over the course of just a few months, educators across the country were arrested for entering into an inappropriate relationship with their students, Tennessee teacher Janet Smothers, LaToya Parker, Florida teacher Caroline Lawson, 26-year-old Allyson Moran and Katherine Ross Ridenhour were all arrested on similar charges.

The list goes on to include 22-year-old Oklahoma science teacher Hunter Day, 28-year-old teacher Megan Kotarski, 23-year-old history teacher Michelle Schiffer, 29-year-old Alyssia Marie Reddy, special education teacher Jordan Ondish and 28-year-old Samantha Fitzpatrick have all been allegedly carrying on inappropriate relationships with their students.

In addition, 31-year-old Nicole Marie Andrews, 32-year-old Jessica Langford, 29-year-old Andrea Baber, 27-year-old Robin Dunlap, 27-year-old Jennifer Olajire-Aro have also been charged with these charges.

34-year-old Miranda Nicole Pauley was charged with similar crimes, Nancy Leigh Ann Brann, a former Christian school teacher, was arrested for having sex with a student, Coine Audiat pleaded no contest to having sex with a minor in 2016 and 23-year-old Darci Lake was arrested for an inappropriate relationship. 27-year-old Brittany Zamora from Arizona was arrested on similar charges. Keri Hoffman, 35, was also arrested for an alleged relationship with a student. More recently, 29-year-old Tiffany Ranweiler-Oblander and 33-year-old Maren Oates were arrested on similar charges.

Bronson Harmon, a star high school wrestler who was headed to Cal Poly Tech, has had his scholarship revoked after video of him using a homophobic slur went viral.

Harmon, an 18-year-old Oakdale High School graduate, was recorded yelling a homophobic slur and making an obscene gesture during a counter-protest of the Families Belong Together March in Modesto, California, on June 30.

Harmon is claiming his first amendment rights are being infringed upon, telling The Tribune:

“Saying what I said is definitely not the right thing. I am supposed to be there to help the community be the best person I can be and represent the college the best way I can.”

“But I still feel like my freedom of speech was taken away, and I don’t think my scholarship should have been revoked over something like that.”

He had signed a letter of intent with the university in November 2017.

According to The Mercury News, Harmon and his father were allegedly also involved in a physical altercation at the counter-protest. The incident reportedly led to a formal complaint being filed with the Modesto Police Department.

Bronson’s father Todd says they’re considering suing the university. The elder Harmon can be heard yelling Harmon “Send their asses back!” in the video.

Earlier in the video, Todd Harmon can be heard yelling “Send their a**es back!” as he walks down the street. The video has been viewed over 30,000 times on Facebook as of Tuesday evening.

Abdul Lasaing, who recorded the video, said he heard the men shouting as they approached so he pulled out his cell phone.

While the Cal Poly wrestling team is now out of the picture, Harmon said he still plans to attend Cal Poly in the fall.

She then trained in Valais, Switzerland before returning to California and training at Mammoth Mountain. In 2013, at the age of 13, she joined the United States Snowboarding.

In 2016, she became the first American woman to win a gold medal in snowboarding at the Winter Youth Olympic Games and in 2018, became the youngest woman to win an Olympic medal in snowboarding.

Following her gold medal win, Kim was put on the cover of Sports Illustrated and was also asked to be on the cover of a Kellogg’s Corn Flakes box. In addition, Barbie is making a doll of her for their new line of “inspiring women” dolls.

Later in 2018, Kim, now 18, appeared in the music video for Maroon 5’s single “Girls Like You” (which was released on May 30, 2018) and was accepted to Princeton University’s Class of 2022.

The Professional Fighters League, formerly World Series of Fighting, returns on Thursday, July 19, for PFL 4. In the main event, four-time All-American wrestler and former WSOF and RFA featherweight champion Lance Palmer faces off against UFC veteran Jumabieke Tuerxun. Chloe Kim, 18, is known for being the youngest woman to win an Olympic gold medal in snowboarding when she won the gold at the 2018 Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea. Kim, an American, is of South Korean descent.

Kim, who won gold in the snowboard halfpipe at the age of 17 at the 2018 Winter Olympics, is also a is a four-time X Games gold medal winner.

While Kim’s parents hail from South Korea, Chloe was born in Long Beach, California before being raised in nearby Torrance. Kim began snowboarding at a very early age before beginning competition snowboarding at the age 6 years old.

Kim began training Switzerland when she was 8 before returning to California when she was 10. At the age of 13, Kim joined the U.S. Snowboarding team.

In 2016, two years before her Olympic triumph, Kim became the first American woman to win a gold medal in snowboarding at the Winter Youth Olympic Games.

Her gold medal win provided Kim with massive stardom as she was featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated and Kellogg’s Corn Flakes. Barbie is also making a doll modeled after Kim.

Jeanine Pirro has generated plenty of attention during the Donald Trump administration. Pirro, commonly known as Judge Jeanine, has become a popular figure under the current president and was reportedly at one time considered for a Supreme Court vacancy. But now that she was passed over for the nomination, Pirro is once again finding herself in the headlines.

The most recent reason for her attention came thanks to an appearance on ABC’s “The View.”

Pirro also pounded the table in support of the president.

“For the first time, we elected an outsider President and the Deep State, the Swamp, and the Establishment was determined to get him out. But the American people instinctively knew that something was amiss in Washington. That’s why they brought in this outsider businessman. Enough is enough of what is going on,” Judge Pirro said.

Pirro also noted that she was not considering any role within the administration.

“I’ve been a prosecutor, and I loved it. I’ve been a judge, and I’ve done all that,” she noted. “But really what I love is the ability to speak uncensored to my viewers.” She did acknowledge, however, that Donald Trump “dangled the possibility of giving her a top appointment.”
