Everyone loves a good campfire story. Those summer nights gathered around the fire with friends and camp councilors. The moon and stars are creating light in the sky. Even though the scared little kid inside of you didn’t want to hear them, you wanted a bit of a thrill. And every camp counselor will always take the opportunity to scare the pants off their campers. Keep in mind, you must be convincing in telling each story, or there won’t be any effect. Deep tones, short pauses, and hand gestures put the campers in a scared state. They will feel goose bumps spread around their body, look in every direction they hear the smallest sound, and curl into the tightest human ball. It helps to get other camp counselors involved to add for sound effects and background eeriness. Don’t think it will work, read these scary stories and see how scared you get. I dare you to get to the last one without getting a little scared.

Rest Haven

This ghost story involves two women on a road trip. Lacy and Felicity were at the beach enjoying their day vacation. They were caught up in their fun of the hot sand and cold salty water. They lost track of time when they saw the sun setting. In the distance, they could see dark clouds coming in their direction. They raced to the car and hoped that they would beat the storm.

No matter how fast their car could drive, the storm was much faster. They had no choice but to pull over at a rest stop. On the side of the road was a sign that Lacy noticed. “Hey look! There is a place we can stay.” She said.

Sure enough, after another mile, they found a rest stop, “Rest Haven – Rooms for Rent – Day, Week, Month.” The girls felt relieved and quickly ran inside to avoid getting too wet from the rain. An old white-haired woman answered the door. “I have been expecting you.” She said. Lacy and Felicity were confused with the old women’s words but proceeded inside where the old women fed them a warm meal and showed them to their rooms.

They woke up the next morning ready to get back on the road. The two looked for the old women to thank her for her letting them stay but she was nowhere to be found. Not wanting to wait too long they left a note and some money taped to the door.

After driving for a few miles, the girls stopped for gas. Felicity went inside to get some drinks and road snack while Lacy pumped gas. Felicity talked to the cashier and told him about their wonderful stay at the Rest Haven. The cashier was shocked at Felicity’s story and said to her that it couldn’t be true. He explained to her that the Rest Haven burnt down years ago killing the owner.

Not believing the cashier, Lacy and Felicity drove back to the Rest Haven but found nothing there. All that was there was their note and money lying in the dirt.

Lost At Camp

(Tip: use another counselor for help with the very end of the story.)

In a camp, very similar to this one were enjoying their summer day. One night a young boy went missing. It was during a campfire gathering the little boy, let’s call him Timmy, wandered off. He heard a sound that could have been a small animal. Timmy was curious and wanted to see if he could catch it. He walked into the darkness and never returned.

When it the announcement was made that Timmy had gone missing, all the campers and camp councilors went looking for him. Not finding anything they all called it a night, except for one councilor. The councilor stayed up all night calling for Timmy. (Yell) “Timmy, Timmy!”

The next morning, when everyone woke up, Timmy was found in his cabin safe and sound. But, the councilor who was looking all night for Timmy was nowhere to be seen. Some campers say they can still hear the counselor calling out for Timmy. If you listen carefully, you might hear her. (whisper) Listen.

(Have another councilor scream “Timmy” and jump out from the darkness.)

The Warning

A young woman was driving home from a nice vacation. Late in the night, there was a storm approaching as she drove.  She realized that she was almost out of gas and decided to stop before she would hit the storm. She stopped at a gas station. Before she could get out and pump her gas, a tall man ran from the rain and to her car to pump her gas. The women looked at the man and saw multiple scars on his face. She rolled down the window and handed him her credit card. He, quickly, grabbed it and ran inside.

The man came back to her car and explained to her that her card was declined. Before she could say anything, the man ran back inside. She followed him. When she got inside, the man grabbed her by the arm and tried to talk to her. His voice was scratching and challenging to understand. The man becomes shaky and overwhelmed. The women got scared and tried to pull her arm free. She finally pulled away and rushed back into her car. As fast as she could, she started her car and drove away from the gas station. She looked back in her rearview mirror and saw the man waving at her wanting her to come back.

Flustered at what happened, she turned on the radio to relax her. She hears something come from the back seat. She looks at the rear-view mirror and sees a figure sitting in the back seat with an ax. That is the last thing she sees before the axed man attacks her. The man back at the gas station was trying to warn her.

Women Buried Alive

A scary love story about an older couple. The wife has suffered a terrible stroke and went into a coma. Her husband stays by her bedside every day and night. After many days of hoping and praying for his wife to wake up, the doctor breaks the news that she is not coming back. The husband begs the doctor to give her more time, but the doctor refuses.

They have a funeral and bury the wife. Every night after his wife’s burial, the husband has a nightmare of his wife scratching at her casket, begging to be let out. He goes to the doctor and demands that they dig out his wife. The doctor refuses. More nights pass, and the husband has the same dream. The husband begged and pleaded to the doctor until he finally gave in.

The doctor and the husband went to the wife’s grave and dug up her casket. They opened It up and found what the husband had dreamt. There were scratch marks everywhere inside the casket and the wife’s nails where bent back and covered in blood. The husband was too late, and the wife was officially dead.

The Licked Hand

A young girl had been begging her parents to let her stay home alone while they would be out late. She was tired of having a babysitter and insisted on taking care of herself. The parents allowed her to do so with the protection of their dog. She told her parents that she would make her regular bedtime and let her parents know she was heading to bed.

The girl rested in her bed when she heard a dripping noise. She looked outside to see if it was raining, but it was a clear night. She went back to her bed but still heard the dripping sound. She reached down under her bed where she felt her dog lick her. It comforted her knowing her dog was there for protection. The dripping noise continued, and the girl’s worry grew with each passing minute. She eventually got tired of it and went in search of the sound.

(During this part of the story, the storyteller can add where he or she wants the girl to look. Such as the attic, bathroom, kitchen, basement, etc.) She eventually gives up, but before she goes to bed, she hears the dripping sound come from her closet. She opens her closet door. Inside her closet is her dog, a rope wrapped around its neck, dripping blood, with a note that reads, “Humans can lick too.”

GoFundMe

Rodolfo Rodriguez, 92, was walking through his Los Angeles neighborhood on Wednesday, July 4, when he was attacked by a woman with a brick. Following the assault, he was left bloodied and unable to walk with bruised ribs, a broken cheekbone, a battered face and head injuries.

According to reports, the 92-year-old Rodriguez was taking his daily walk around the block near his Willowbrook home when he was confronted by a woman with a child. The woman confronted Rodriguez for allegedly bumping into the young girl before shoving him to the ground and attacking him with a brick, Los Angeles County sheriff’s officials confirmed.

During the attack, the woman reportedly yelled at Rodriguez to “go to back your [his] country.”  Erik Mendoza, Rodriguez’ grandson, says that Rodolfo does not speak English and does not know why he was attacked.

According to Mendoza, the woman in the video pushes him to the floor before grabbing a brick and beating him with it.

“And then when one of the witnesses comes out of her car and starts screaming at her, four other guys come in and start kicking on him,” Mendoza told KTLA.

Misbel Borjas, Rodriguez’s neighbor, said she was the witness involved. Borjas said she also came under attack after she tried helping her friend and claims the mother “tried to hit me with the same rock like hit him.” Rodriguez’s family said they’re grateful he’ll eventually recover from his serious injuries, but they fear someone else may be targeted if those suspects remain on the streets.

“How can you hurt a 92-year-old man? What kind of threat does he pose to you, for you to do this to him?” Mendoza asked. “That’s why we’re still in shock, as you can see he’s badly injured.”

Rodriguez, who was interviewed by investigators, doesn’t remember much about the incident, but he was able to identify his alleged attacker in the video.

Sheriff’s Deputy D’Angelo Robinson said in a statement that authorities are now searching for five suspects: four men and the woman seen in the video.

At the time of this writing, the GoFundMe for Rodriguez has raised over $39,000 — more than double the $15,000 they originally asked for.

Rodriguez’s family says he’s expected to make a full recovery.

MTV’s Southern, deep-fried Jersey Shore spin-off, Floribama Shore, returns for its second season tonight at 10 p.m. EST on MTV.

The show’s second season, which consists of 20 episodes (and was later modified to 14 episodes), stars four men — Jeremiah Buoni, Codi Butts, Kirk Medas, and Gus Smyrnios — and four women: Kortni Gilson, Aimee Hall, Nilsa Prowant, and Candace Rice.

Filming of the second season took place over a three-month period in 2018, as opposed to the first season, which was filmed in just one month.

“Floribama,” MTV’s country-fried spinoff of its signature reality show “Jersey Shore,” is back for a second season of fights, hookups and sloshed shenanigans Monday (10 EDT/PDT), after the network’s highest-rated series premiere in more than three years. It’s MTV’s latest attempt at recapturing “Jersey” magic, after 2013’s “Buckwild (canceled after one season following cast member Shain Gandee’s death) and sister network CMT’s “Party Down South” (which ended its seven-season run in 2016).

On paper, “Floribama” has all the ingredients that made “Jersey” a cultural phenomenon: Eight uninhibited twentysomethings are thrown into a house for the summer, doing the bare minimum at 9-to-5 jobs and brazenly conquering local bars and nightclubs when the sun goes down. The action is transplanted from Seaside Heights, New Jersey, to Panama City Beach, Florida — in the Gulf Coast region straddling the Florida panhandle and Alabama— giving the show a slightly different regional flavor than “Jersey,” which popularized the Italian “guido” culture.

It’s hard to say no to our family. It’s hard to tell them when they are wrong or to leave you alone. You feel bad because they are your family. You never mean harm but you do wish for something’s to be different because they tend to become too much. We have all been there and experienced the weird family encounters. The overprotective mom and dad, the sibling revelries, the jealous cousins, the annoying grandparents, and the aunts and uncles who won’t stop treating you like a child. There comes the point where you want to scream, “ENOUGH!”. But, you are too scared too because you worry about the consequences that may occur after you finally speak up. We know it’s hard, but we are here to save you from your family. Follow our lead and find out how to handle your family.

Before we start, everyone needs to know that this is not a bash on families and how they act around their family members. These tips are more a way on how to talk and work around them when they are behaving poorly. We are going to teach you how to say no to your family and finally speak up for yourself. It’s like approaching a bully at school, and your family is your bully that you ultimately want to show that you can speak for yourself. You have grown up, you are an adult, and they can’t treat you like the kid you once were.

Don’t Get Angry

Anger is an important emotion to keep in mind. When you start a conversation with a family member, and you see it going in a direction that is going to explode in your face, whatever you do, don’t get angry. Bite your lip, hold your breath, squeeze your fists, do whatever it takes not to have your blood visibly boiling. Getting angry shows that you have no control over your emotions and you always think everyone around you is wrong. Keep that emotion locked inside and cool it down with a few deep breaths. When your family members see your control, they will learn to respect you more and more with each conversation.

Listen Before You Speak

This is where the 1st-grade listening skills come in handy. If the conversation is going to a point where it seems like your family member is attacking, you. Such as mom or dad bantering you to get a job, your siblings stating that they are better than you at anything, or your aunts and uncles teaching you how to live your life. No matter how long they make their long speech, wait and listen. Be patient, but don’t just stay silent and zone out. Listen to what they are saying because when it’s your turn to speak, you can reflect on what they are saying. That shows them that you are a good listener and you care about the conversation. It also shows that you have, in fact, grown up.

Explain Yourself

After your family member or members have spoken their peace about whatever they were talking about, it’s your turn to, not defend yourself but reason with them. You’ve heard what they’ve had to say, now you get a chance to tell them how you feel. If you are nervous and need that extra kick, take a deep breath and know that they are family and they will understand. Tell your mom and dad why you don’t have time to get a job. You could want to focus on schooling, take an unpaid internship to start off your career, or you don’t have time at that moment to get a job. Tell your brothers or sisters that they may be good at what they are talking about, and good for them. But, tell them some things you are good at too and maybe if you find something you both like to do, try it together. As for your aunts and uncles who try to teach you how to live, tell them how far you have gotten by yourself. Don’t prove yourself at that moment because that will show in time. But, tell them something good that happened in one of your classes, or how fantastic your job is, even better tell them your plans for the future. Explaining yourself with a simple conversation will give you the respect from your family and allow them to see how strong of an adult you have become.

Tell Them You Love Them

Lastly, no matter what type of conversation it is, if you are fighting or merely catching up. Always tell your family you love them. I was taught at a young age to never leave your family without saying you love them. Because it may be the last time, you see or talk to them. Plus, saying those three words make your family know you care. These tips for dealing with your family may not work the first time, but if it doesn’t tell them, you love them. Even if you are angry, you would want them to say it too.

Everyone has their issues with their family, no matter who you are or how you act. Families have their problems, but somehow they are resolved. It may take time, but you will come together as one family. Take these tips and use them to your advantage. They are simple but effective. For those who use it, I have one last advice for you. This type comes with more patients. Sometimes a simple conversation may not do the job of telling them that you are an adult who can be independent. Take that as motivation to achieve in life. They will see how hard you are working and realize that you are someone who deserves a higher amount of respect. It will take time, could be at your high school or college graduation, wedding, job promotion, first kid, heck it could be your fiftieth birthday. But, all of this time does not push away the fact that there will always be love in your family.

At long last, the semifinals are upon us in the World Cup. In the first semifinal match, Belgium will battle France for a spot in the final. These teams have dominated thus far in the tournament and will now clash in what should be the best matchup of the entire tournament. Both teams possess tremendous offensive ability which should lead to a highly competitive and entertaining match this Tuesday.

Belgium’s success is due to its star forwards Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku. Belgium’s attack was crucial in its last match against Brazil where these two superstars played unbelievably on the counter-attack. Brazil was unable to physically handle them as they created chances for the entire match. Belgium was able to score its two goals due to their contributions. Now, Belgium will need Hazard and Lukaku to play extremely well against France if the country has any hope of making its first World Cup Final ever. Expect these two to lay it all on the line this Tuesday as a result.

France entered the World Cup as one of the favorites to lift the trophy. So far this tournament, France has done nothing but prove that it is a legit contender. One area where the team has excelled is on the defensive end. In five World Cup matches, France has not allowed a goal in four of them. However, if a team is actually able to penetrate its defense, France also possesses a powerful line of attacking forwards who can score with ease. France’s solid all-around play should pose serious problems for Belgium who play a more counter-attacking style of play. Expect France to pressure Belgium’s defenders and midfielders constantly on Tuesday in order to set up some serious attacking chances.

As for my prediction, I have to side with France. Belgium has been extremely impressive this tournament but France is a different animal. Belgium’s defense can get extremely sloppy at times and it was torn to shreds in the second half against Brazil. I think that France is a more complete team and will win the match as a result.

We all had the weird social groups in high school that we tried to avoid. Some of these groups are made fun of on TV and in movies. These students were chill and enjoyed their time when high off their ass. They will be your go-to friend as long as you don’t bring up any negative subjects. All they want is peace and love, and lots of weed.

The Overachiever

Let’s be real here if you were an overachiever you had no life. All you focused on was how you could turn your A into an A+. It was your goal to become valedictorian even if it meant that you couldn’t have a social life. You took all the AP classes and used your after-school free time to rack up hours of community service. This doesn’t mean you aren’t going to achieve in life or end up alone. You will be very successful, but you may have a mental breakdown in your thirties.

The Dumb Jock

The only piece of clothing they owned was their lettermen’s jacket. It’s like the security blanket that protects them from homework and bad grades. Most jocks get away with everything with their pea-sized brains. The only thing inside their tiny excuse for a brain is two sayings, “sports are fun” and “pretty girl.” If you are one of these dumb jocks, you may want to ask your parents if you were dropped as a child. Chances are you there is a significant head sized dent on the kitchen floor you never noticed.

The Overly Nice Nerd

There should be no flack on this person. These are the students who helped you with your homework, always had an extra seat open at lunch and always said hi in the hallways. Your day would instantly turn around when you saw this person. You would be an awful person if you said something wrong about this person. Whoever bullied the sweet nerd should stand in the corner and take a timeout.

The Mean Girl

Everyone’s hated girl in high school. The hot, clever, overconfident student every girl wants to be, and every guy wants to get into her pants. And the worst part is, she knows how hot she is which makes every girl cry in how ugly they are, compared to her. Now, to those who were the mean girls in high school, you probably fell flat on your fake boobs and second nose job when entering college. Make sure to look both ways before crossing the street because the karma bus will hit you just like it did Regina George.

During the administration of President George W. Bush, Kavanaugh served as Senior Associate Counsel and Associate Counsel to the President for two years. By 2003, he served as an Assistant to the President and White House Staff Secretary. The same year, President George W. Bush first nominated Kavanaugh to the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. By 2006, the United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary recommended confirmation, essentially confirming Kavanaugh to the court. In early June of that year, he was sworn in by Justice Anthony Kennedy, for whom he previously served as a clerk.

2011-Present

In 2018, after Justice Anthony Kennedy, with whom Kavanaugh had worked with, announced his retirement, Kavanaugh was one of four circuit judges interviewed by President Donald Trump himself to succeed Kennedy. By July 9, 2018, President Trump announced Kavanaugh as his nominee for a seat on the Supreme Court.

Wife Carrying

Some people have recently been informed of this sport based on videos that have popped up on the internet. Wife carrying it pretty self-explanatory through the name. Husbands must have their wives strapped on their backs and race through an obstacle course against other husbands and wives. This may sound painful, but the prize is worth the pain. First place gets to drown themselves in free beer.

Joggling

Do you like to run? Do you enjoy juggling? If you said yes to both of those questions, then this is the sport for you. Joggling is a sport where you race against other runners while juggling. It may sound easy for some, but don’t get too confident. You must run up to thirteen miles while juggling the whole time. But, if you are one of those crazy people then, by all means, do what you love and juggle some balls while running thirteen miles.

Kabaddi

Like capture the flag, but there are more tackling and less retrieving flags. The sport involves a player, a raider, from a team into an area where the opposing team stands. The opposing team must prevent the raider from going back into there space. Sounds easy right? No! While weaving and ducking through people, you must also hold your breath. The sport looks like you could die from lack of oxygen but it also sounds like a hell of a lot of fun.

Octopush

This is essentially hockey underwater. For those of you who can’t skate, try octopush. All you need is a snorkel, a small stick, and five other people who have no life to push a puck around underwater. Have fun with this strange sport and please, don’t drown.

Bossaball

Take the sports soccer, volleyball and gymnastics and put a trampoline in it and you got bossaball. Teams must jump on a trampoline doing tricks and flips to keep the ball from touching an unoccupied area of the ground, just like volleyball. We don’t know why this sport is not on ESPN, and we would pay good money to watch this sport.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns on Tuesday, July 10 with Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender 12 at The Ultimate Fighter Gym in Las Vegas as up-and-coming prospects in mixed martial arts look to earn contracts in the sport’s top promotion. This week, LFA featherweight champion Kevin Aguilar, who has not lost since December 2013, is set to face off against undefeated Joey Gomez in a lightweight bout. Aguilar replaces Rafael Fiziev.

Brock Lesnar re-entered the UFC Octagon at UFC 226 on Saturday, July 7, challenging two-division champion Daniel Cormier to a future fight and pushing the titleholder across the cage. Lesnar cut a WWE-style promo after entering the cage and now fans are left wondering when he will be able to compete again. After all, Lesnar has been out of the USADA drug testing pool so he would require a minimum of six months before he is eligible to return to action.

This week, USADA announced when he will be able to return.

According to the United States Anti-Doping Agency, Lesnar returned to the pool in early July and will be eligible to return when the new year rings in.

“After receiving notice of his intent to compete in the UFC, Brock Lesnar re-entered the testing pool on July 3,” USADA officials said in a statement. “With six months and four days remaining on his period of ineligibility, Lesnar will be able to compete on or after January 8, 2019, should he remain in compliance with the UFC Anti-Doping Policy.”

Following UFC 226, UFC president Dana White announced that Lesnar vs. Cormier was “definitely happening.”

Lesnar must wait six months because the UFC’s anti-doping policy requires any fighter who is returning out of retirement to enroll in the program for six months before they can fight again. Lesnar is also currently serving a suspension dating back to 2016 for multiple failed drug tests surrounding his fight at UFC 200 against Mark Hunt.

So while we know Lesnar vs. Cormier is happening and will do so in early 2019, the exact date is yet to be determined.

WWE is holding it’s annual homage to hardcore wrestling on July 15. Extreme Rules will be in Pittsburgh this year and it’s back to a dual brand show. It’s the one time a year WWE decides to completely throw rules out the window! Kind of.

So far the card is looking a little light on the “extreme” but there’s still time and there are some great matches announced so it could be a great PPV! Backlash two months ago received less than stellar reviews but Money In The Bank last month was a marked improvement so hopefully, WWE continues with the up and up!

The Men’s Division is getting some interesting match-ups to look forward too. Both Tag Titles matches could be interesting with former Miztourage (now The B-Team) members actually have a shot at the Raw Tag Titles. While the SmackDown Live end of things has reunited Daniel Bryan and Kane to reform Team Hell No and challenge for the blue brand straps. We’ll also get quality match machine Seth Rollins in a 30-Minute Iron Man Match against the master of selling Dolph Ziggler. Rollins wants his Intercontinental Title back and he’ll have to go through Ziggler (and Drew McIntyre) to get it. Two high energy performers duking it out could be great.

The Women’s Division is in an interesting place right now. Alexa Bliss will be defending her title against Nia Jax after cashing in her Money in the Bank briefcase at the MITB PPV to take it from Jax. The two have a lot of bad blood but will the “suspended” Ronda Rousey also play a role in the match? She has a bone to pick with Bliss and could be a factor.  Asuka will look to take the SmackDown Live title but she’ll have to go through Carmella and… James Ellsworth? Ellsworth cost Asuka the title at MITB and she is more than capable of teaching Ellsworth a lesson, but can she split her attention between him and Carmella?

The main titles are in two totally different predicaments right now. On one hand, you have AJ Styles as WWE Champion, arguably WWE’s most consistent performer defending the title at every PPV. And on the other, you have Brock Lesnar as the Universal Champion, who is literally never around. Last defending his title at the Greatest Royal Rumble in APRIL Lesnar will be absent from his third straight PPV with reports coming in that he may not even be at Summerslam, WWE’s second biggest show of the year. What small shred of dignity the Universal Title had built in its short life has been devastated by the absences of Lesnar. Luckily we have AJ Styles holding down the main event scene. And this time he’ll be facing crowd favorite Rusev! It should be a great match and a Happy Rusev Day!

Fans were excited when Kane came out to help Daniel Bryan against the Bludgeon Brothers on SmackDown Live and were even more excited when Bryan and the Big Red Machine hugged it out like old times. The WWE Universe has been tepid on Kane the last few years. The big man is an absolute legend but has seemingly been randomly injected into matches and feuds. It seems like WWE has found a good place for him. The WWE has been booking The Budgeon Brothers as an unstoppable force but the mix of Kane’s power and Bryan’s skill could believably dethrone them.

Will WWE put the belts on Team Hell No? It’s possible, it’s two future Hall of Famers in a fan favorite team. But will WWE sacrifice the momentum of a new team for the sake of a nostalgia run? It’s the WWE so that’s very possible. Likely a hard-fought win by The Bludgeon Brothers, but don’t be surprised if you see new tag champs hugging it out by nights end.

Dolph Ziggler (c) vs. Seth Rollins

This match has the potential of being the barn burner of the night. On one side Seth Rollins has been putting in some of the best work of his career the last few months. He essentially became the face of Raw’s Championship scene during his Intercontinental Championship run thanks to the continued absence of Brock Lesnar and the Universal Title.

On the other, you have Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler has been criminally underutilized as of late. He has a ton of talent and sells better than anyone in the business. It’s good to see him back in the spotlight and with a title, even if it is in service to help rebuild the profile of current partner Drew McIntyre. Rollins and Ziggler will put on an athletic tour de force if they are able to get going and thanks to the match stipulation, a 30-Minute Iron Man Match, the two will be guaranteed the time to build the match into a frenzy. Add in the looming power of Drew McIntyre on the sidelines and you have real potential. Look for a high flying, hard-fought match with Ziggler walking out STILL the Intercontinental Champion.

AJ Styles (c) vs. Rusev

It looks like WWE is finally listening to its fans! Sort of. Rusev Day has been one of the most popular gimmicks for months and WWE has seemed to have one foot in the water about committing to the Bulgarian Brute as a main eventer. This seems to be a trial run for Rusev before storylines shift after SummerSlam. It is unlikely that AJ Styles would drop the belt in a non-feud title match on the PPV before SummerSlam though it gives Rusev the ability to anchor a PPV against arguably the most talented performer in the company with less pressure. WWE has been dragging its feet to give Rusev a real chance and letting it happen at Extreme Rules feels a little like they are saying “Fine! He can have a title shot… let’s see how it goes…” But if all goes well then he may be leaned on to go into a long-term story for the title. Most likely AJ Styles will walk away with the title after Rusev gets a lot of offense in on the Phenomenal One. Let’s just hope this ends up leading to the best Rusev Day ever!

It’s no secret the women in Game of Thrones are some of the most beautiful to ever grace the screen. Since the show first aired on HBO in 2011, it has been a critically acclaimed success. Some members of the cast were mere children when they signed on to the-now most popular show in history. Watching the cast grow up before our eyes is a game in and of itself.

Let’s take a trip down memory lane now that the epic fantasy drama has completed filming its final season and have a look at our leading ladies over the years.

Emilia Clarke/Daenerys Targaryen

In 2010 Clarke was cast as Daenerys Targaryen at the age of 23. It goes without saying this role launched her to international fame. In the original pilot, another actress by the name of Tamzin Merchant had the role of the last Targaryen daughter. However, once Clarke was introduced to the right people, she replaced the actress in the title role and history was made. It seems bizarre to imagine any woman other than Emilia Clarke as the mother of dragons — luckily we don’t have to!

Clarke, now 31, has been the face of Dolce & Gabbana alongside fellow Game of Thrones star Kit Harington. She recently starred in Solo: A Star War Story, and although it wasn’t as well-received as the studio had hoped, Clarke has another film slated to come out this year, Above Suspicion. While her personal life is very much personal, fans will still be fawning over the actress long after Thrones has come to an end.

Sophie Turner/Sansa Stark

Sophie was cast as Sansa Stark at the age of 13. It’s pretty remarkable how almost unrecognizable she looks when she was a child. She was born with naturally blonde hair, however, for the role of the eldest Stark daughter, she dyed her hair red for many years. Claiming the dye was causing permanent damage, Turner finally was able to wear a wig for season 7. She looks great either way!

Now, Sophie is 22 years old and currently engaged to singer Joe Jonas. She has taken on various modeling campaigns with high profile fashion companies due to her tall, slim stature and striking looks. Turner is also part of the latest X-Men franchise. She is set to star in the titular role in X-Men: Dark Phoenix scheduled to release in late 2019.

Maisie Williams/Arya Stark

Maisie grew up before our eyes. She joined the cast of Game of Thrones when she was only 12 years old. The youngest girl in the bunch, her attitude and talent never showed her age. Maisie was said to be a spark of energy among the cast very similar to the spunky and wild character she brought to life from George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire book series.

Now, Maisie is 21 years old with a bright future ahead! She recently launched her app for young creatives to connect called “daisie” and is extremely involved in wildlife rescue organizations and other eco-conscious endeavors. Williams is set to star in the Marvel horror project The New Mutants coming out August 2019. Whatever she does next — I’m sure it’s bound to be a success.

Sophie Turner & Maisie Williams

The two young actresses are best friends in real life, even going so far as to have matching tattoos of the date the two met! Maisie is set to be a bridesmaid in Sophie’s upcoming wedding. The duo is known to attend events and parties together whether they’re promoting the show or not. It’s pretty wonderful to see onscreen sisters have such a strong bond outside the confines of a television series. Plus, both of these young women are stunning.

Lena Headey/Cersei Lannister

Lena Headey is a brilliant actress known for her social activism and refugee work around the globe. Headey has a much bigger heart than her character Cersei Lannister. Also, she looks nothing like the character once the wig and crown come off! While her personal appearance hasn’t changed much in real life over the years, her characters on Game of Thrones most certainly did!

Natalie Dormer/Margaery Tyrell

Natalie Dormer is no stranger to period pieces, having stared in The Tudors as Anne Boleyn. Dormer joined the cast of Game of Thrones during its second season at the age of 25. A very popular young actress, Dormer is known for her big doe eyes and smirking smile.

More recently, Dormer starred in the Hunger Games trilogy and continues to model, showcasing her stunning good looks. With several films slated to come out in 2018 and 2019, it looks like it will take more than wildfire to blow up this actresses career!

Rose Leslie/Ygritte

Despite only being on the show for two seasons, Leslie made a huge impact on the fandom with her amazing performance as Ygritte as well as marrying leading man Kit Harington in real life. Rose starred in some underwhelming movies such as The Last Witch Hunter, but her television career is where she truly shines.

From Game of Thrones to Downton Abbey, Leslie now stars alongside Christine Baranski in The Good Fight on CBS All Access. Whether she continues her on-screen career or takes a break to enjoy marital bliss, Leslie is a gorgeous actress with incredible range, there’s no doubt she’ll be in demand for years to come. 

Gwendoline Christie/Brienne Of Tarth

Before Game of Thrones, Gwendoline didn’t seem like such an intimidating physical force at all! Her resume was mainly theatre and modeling due to her tall stature. The English actress joined the show in its second season and is one of the lucky ladies to still be alive! Not only is Christie a stellar fashion icon, but her celebrity has also brought about awareness to strong female characters on both the small and big screen alike.

Standing at 6’3″, Christie is one of the most desired fashion models in the business most recently seen walking for Prada and Miu Miu. She continues to be involved in the Royal Acadamy of Arts as well as various foundations to empower young women in developing countries. This in no way takes her focus from her film work, having starred in the Hunger Games franchise and more recently Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Christie has a slate of upcoming films both filming and in-production. Hopefully, she’ll live long enough on Game of Thrones to get to see how the Great War turns out!

5. College of Ozarks

Location: Point Lookout, MO
Acceptance Rate: 15%

The Wall Street Journal has dubbed the College of Ozarks “Hard Work U” based off of their unique work-study program. Much of the school’s curriculum is based on character building, an honor code, and convocations and chapel attendance. The College of Ozarks describes themselves as a Christian work college and encourages patriotic growth.

4. BYU

Location: Provo, UT
Acceptance Rate: 48%

Brigham Young University is the largest religious university in the country. Much of BYU’s coursework centers around political thought, free market capitalism, and military service. The school prohibits the use of drugs and alcohol both on and off the campus. BYU is a Mormon-based private university owned and operated by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

3. Biola

Location: La Mirada, CA
Acceptance Rate: 73%

Biola University describes itself as “a community where all faculty, staff, and students are professing Christians”. The only officially recognized political organization on campus is the College Republicans. There is a College Democrats organization, but the university has not recognized them officially. All students are required to 30 units of biblical studies. The Bible and social issues take precedence at Biola.

Acceptance Rate: 24%

Liberty University was founded by Reverand Jerry Falwell, and their mission statement is “Training Champions for Christ”. The curriculum is firmly based on biblical truth, as well as fiscally and socially conservative views. Liberty is known for its online-based schooling option with 90,000 students obtaining a degree through the online process and 15,000 students on campus. All of the students enrolled at the university are required to attend chapel a minimum of three times per week.

Acceptance Rate: 79%

Franciscan University has a tradition that runs deep in conservative intellectual and social philosophy. The university is a Catholic institution with its curriculum strongly based on the teachings and traditions of the Catholic church. Franciscan Univ. has a strong focus on the history that shaped Western Civilization. The school encourages discussion on many social issues including abortion, the institution of marriage, and other ethical issues. Popular programs at Franciscan for students to get involved include public policy and conservative political groups.

Steve Sarkisian, the former head football coach at the University of Southern California, has lost a $30 million lawsuit against the university that claimed he was “improperly fired.”

Sarkisian, who was fired by USC in October 2015 after the school became aware of several incidents in which he was intoxicated while representing the university, says that the school fired him instead of allowing him to seek treatment for his alcoholism.

Staff suspected that Sarkisian was under the influence during USC’s 42-14 win over Arizona State in September 2015.

An arbitrator has ruled in favor of USC in a wrongful termination lawsuit brought by former Trojans coach Steve Sarkisian. In the suit, Sarkisian was reportedly seeking $30 million, asserting that USC had not allowed him to seek treatment for alcoholism, which is recognized as a disability under the law.

The arbitrator ruled that USC is not responsible for any further compensation and denied the suit. USC athletic director Lynn Swann released a statement Monday acknowledging the arbitrator’s decision, which ruled against Sarkisian on all counts.

“We are pleased that the arbitration has reached its rightful conclusion and we wish Steve Sarkisian well,” Swann said in the statement.

Sarkisian wasn’t out of work for long, as he followed up his head coaching gig at USC with an assistant job at the University of Alabama before becoming the offensive coordinator of the Atlanta Falcons.

Following the ruling, Sarkisian released a statement saying he is “disappointed in the decision, but we will respect it and move on.”

“Much gratitude to everyone who has shown their support and stood by me. The last two years have been trying, but I am now in a great place, healthy, happy and loving my job with the Falcons and have the support of my family and friends, and that’s where my focus is and will remain,” the statement read.

Actress, model, and future Mrs. Justin Bieber, Hailey Baldwin has certainly made her mark on the Hollywood scene over the course of the past few years. Baldwin was born on November 22nd, 1996, in Tucson, Arizona and quickly found the spotlight. She began appearing in magazines and other ads in 2014 after she signed her first modeling contract with Ford Models, based in NYC. She appeared in many different magazines including Vogue, Teen Vogue, and Self. In addition, she’s modeled for Tommy Hilfiger and Philipp Plein.

Outside of modeling, Baldwin has made sporadic television and music video appearances. She’s appeared in videos for singer Cody Simpson and Baptiste Giabicioni. She served as host of the 2015 MTV Europe Music Awards in Milan and also helped host the 2016 iHeartRadio Much Music Video Awards in Toronto.

Most recently, she serves as the co-host of the TBS’ show Drop The Mic along with rapper Method Man.

The Planner Mom

Where you kid who was always early to school, to a soccer game, to band practice, or a family dinner? Were there calendars pinned up all over your house with times and check marks? Did you continuously hear alarms going off in your home? If you said yes to every one of these, you had this mom. This is the mom that always had to have a planned schedule. Everything had to be written down and put into a time slot. This mom is usually found running around in the house, grocery store, or mall. But, it’s more the run-walk because they are too scared to break the no running rule. There is nothing wrong with this mom, but be careful when they have their little outburst because of a miss scheduled plan. It’s like watching shark week.

Glued To The Hip Mom

The mom that would never leave you alone. She was the one who always chaperoned your field trips or dances, accompanied you on your dates, and always talked to you and your friends instead of the other adults. Often confused with a helicopter parent but in this case, the mom doesn’t want to protect but more be precisely like their child. If you make a change in your style, she will do the same. If you dye your hair a different shade, she will do the same. If you go vegan, she will do the same. There are no boundaries with this type of mom. It would be simple to tell this mom to stop, but it’s like their fuel to keep going when they hear the word ‘no.’ And if you think you are free when you get to college, think again. They will probably end up being your dorm mate.

The Police Mom

Also known as the toolkit mom, she has everything at any given moment. Hand sanitizer, bug spray, sunscreen, tissues, chapstick, eye drops, gum, she’s like Mary Poppins on steroids. But, it isn’t just the never-ending purse or toolkit, it’s also the constant worry her child is going to die. If the sun is out, her child cannot go outside or else, and they will get sun poisoning. She will keep her kids home from school if she hears a child was sent back for catching the flu. If she could, there would be bubble wrap and caution tape on her child. You can find this mom by listening carefully for the words, “don’t run,” “be careful,” “put that down,” “put on your jacket,” “stay away from that,” “wash your hands,” “tie your shoes,” etc.

The Hot Mess Mom

This mom is usually never found because of her constant forgetfulness of appointments, play dates, and sporting events. If you do see her, she is probably wearing three-day-old jeans, a shirt filled with coffee stains, and she looks like she makes up was put on by her four-year-old child. But, don’t think they are unhappy, they will laugh at how much of a mess they are. They embrace their hot mess like it’s their soul mate. This is the mom who never left college. She is lazy but admits it like it’s an award. The mom who knows she can’t be perfect and encourages other mom’s not to worry all the time. The hot mess mom could teach the police mom a few things.

Wine & Coffee Mom

Coffee and wine are her best friends. If she doesn’t have a cup of coffee, she probably has a glass of wine. This is a woman who can not live without these two liquids in her life. No matter how loud their child is crying, they will always pour themselves a cup of coffee in the morning. And before those bedtime stories are told, mom must fuel up with a glass of wine. If it isn’t apparent already, you will find this mom holding a travel mug that is either filled with coffee or wine. But, if every mom is holding one they are best known for wearing sunglasses inside due to their over-consumption of wine the night before, but there are never any regrets for them.

Camila Giorgi is one of the rising tennis stars and has put together a strong showing in the 2018 Wimbeldon tournament. Her star power grew during a match against Serena Williams in the quarterfinals when she won the opening set and challenged in the third.
