World Cup Bracket: Quarterfinals Schedule & Game Times

The knockout rounds of the 2018 FIFA World Cup are underway. On Saturday, June 30, the Round of 16 officially kicked off with a thrilling doubleheader featuring France vs. Argentina and Portugal vs. Uruguay. The star-studded matchups led to world soccer stars Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo taking center stage as they looked to lead their respective countries to the quarterfinals.
Messi and Argentina were first to be eliminated from the knockout rounds, while Ronaldo and Portugal suffered defeat a few hours later. That leads to Uruguay vs. France kicking off the quarterfinals on July 6. After a wild second day in the Round of 16, Russia stunned Spain to advance in penalty kicks, while Croatia also needed some magic of their own to get by Denmark in an epic PK shootout that included five saves. On Monday, July 2, Brazil was able to take down Mexico, 2-0, while Belgium needed to come back from a 0-2 hole to earn a 3-2 win and hit the game-winner in stoppage time.
Two quarterfinals spots remain.

Why Do People Pour Milk Before Cereal?

Is it wrong to pour milk before cereal? Some think it ruins the meal doing this action. The cereal before milk people considers the milk before cereal people, serial killers. To them, it’s a sin to pour your milk in the bowl before you pour your favorite cereal. But, let’s back up here. The milk before cereal people do have their reasons and they are pretty good reasons. Let’s give them a chance to explain themselves before you start throwing our cereal boxes at them. Here is why people pour milk before cereal.
Pouring your cereal before the milk makes it hard to decide how much milk you need. Sometimes you may pour too much or too little. The after cereal milk drinkers love it when they have a lot of milk, but it sucks when they are out of milk the next day because they poured too much. This is where the milk before cereal people come in to save the day.
It’s all about portion sizing with your milk. Focus on your cereal-to-milk ratio, to not waste milk and cereal. Doing this will not only allow for you to have enough food and milk for the next morning but also leave with you with a good size meal.

Most of the people who do pour their milk before there cereal have a different reason then portion sizing. Some people like to pour their milk, heat it up, and then pour their cereal. It would be interesting to see if warming milk for cocoa puffs turns it into hot chocolate.
Whichever way you choose to eat your cereal, whether it’s eating a sensible bowl of cereal or scarfing down half a box of honey nut cheerios there should be no judgment. Knowing most of you reading this are probably cereal before milk people, why not mix it up and see how you like it.

The ‘Westworld’ Creators Say They Already Know The Ending

Westworld is currently the most intellectually dense show on television and it isn’t really close.
Whenever I watch an episode of Westworld, part of me feels like I’m back in college again: I don’t know what year it is, I’m beyond confused, and it’s making my brain hurt. But that’s because I’m a mere simpleton.
The creators of Westworld, on the other hand, are clearly the furthest thing from simpletons. In fact, these guys are so f*cking smart that they CLAIM to already have the ending planned out.
Call it the anti-LOST, if you will.

According to co-creator Lisa Joy, the show does have an ending in mind, and it has been there since the pilot.
“We have an ending in mind; we’ve had it from the pilot. It’s very emotional, I think. I can’t tell you exactly when that ending will come but I think for every season what we try to do is tell a chapter of the story that gives you closure and then opens a door to a new chapter,” says Joy. “The overarching question of the series is, what will become of this new lifeform? So I feel it would be irresponsible to not have an end goal in mind.”
This is why the geniuses make television and us normal folks don’t: foresight. I can barely predict where Westworld is going to go next week, let alone four seasons from now.

The Warriors Obnoxiously React To The Signing Of Demarcus Cousins
Has there ever been a professional sports team as hateable as the Golden State Warriors? Seriously, I think Tom Brady and the New England Patriots are more well-liked than the Warriors at this point.
Whether it be Curry’s arrogance, Durant’s snake-ness, Draymond’s ugliness, or Klay’s dumb face-ness, the Warriors have a knack for rubbing people the wrong way.
Now, do people dislike the Warriors because they’re successful? Well, of course — that’s always a factor.
But Dwayne Wade was successful and everyone liked him. KG was successful and everyone (mostly) liked him. Yes, the Warriors are dominant, but it’s the way the act about their domination that’s f*cking annoying. And their reactions to the Cousins signing just prove that.

Emily Whitmire: Hottest Photos Of The UFC Fighter

Emily Whitmire got the opportunity to compete on the biggest stage in mixed martial arts following an appearance on season 26 of the UFC reality series The Ultimate Fighter. Whitmire made her official UFC debut in the season finale, suffering a submission loss in the first round. Despite the disappointing start to her UFC career, Whitmire received another shot by securing a bout against Jamie Moyle on UFC 226 in July, the biggest card of the year.
During her time on The Ultimate Fighter, where she was a member of Team Gaethe, Whitmire reached the quarterfinals before suffering a loss to Roxanne Modafferi.
Whitmire, who balances a job as a waitress while training in mixed martial arts, is a former Tuff N Uff 115-pound champion as an amateur. She got introduced into MMA after volunteering to grapple MMA veteran Lisa Ellis in a bar in the Pacific Northwest with the help of a fake ID and some adult beverages. She has been training for seven years.
“I started training almost seven years ago. It was the only thing that caught my interest; it grabbed a hold of me and wouldn’t let go,” Whitmire says in her official UFC bio.

Teacher Arrested For Sleeping With Teen Student Gets Caught With That Student AGAIN

Laura Calladio Ramos, a former special education teacher accused of having sex with teenage students, has been caught with one of the victims despite the court telling her to stay away.
According to the Connecticut Post, police found Ramos in her car with one of the alleged victims despite an order of protection from the court barring her from having contact with the unnamed teen.
Ramos was stopped by police Waterford, Connecticut, on June 22, after a cop spotted her using a phone while driving. During the stop, officers on the scene determined that one of Ramos’ alleged victims was in the car with her.
Ramos — who was already awaiting trial on two counts of second-degree sexual assault — has been hit with an additional charge of violating a protective order.
Following her arrest, Ramos was freed on $50,000 bond.
She is just the latest teacher to be charged for an alleged relationship with a teenager student. Over the course of just a few months, educators across the country were arrested for entering into an inappropriate relationship with their students, Tennessee teacher Janet Smothers, LaToya Parker, Florida teacher Caroline Lawson, 26-year-old Allyson Moran and Katherine Ross Ridenhour were all arrested on similar charges.
The list goes on to include 22-year-old Oklahoma science teacher Hunter Day, 28-year-old teacher Megan Kotarski, 23-year-old history teacher Michelle Schiffer, 29-year-old Alyssia Marie Reddy, special education teacher Jordan Ondish and 28-year-old Samantha Fitzpatrick have all been allegedly carrying on inappropriate relationships with their students.
In addition, 31-year-old Nicole Marie Andrews, 32-year-old Jessica Langford, 29-year-old Andrea Baber, 27-year-old Robin Dunlap, 27-year-old Jennifer Olajire-Aro have also been charged with these charges.
34-year-old Miranda Nicole Pauley was charged with similar crimes, Nancy Leigh Ann Brann, a former Christian school teacher, was arrested for having sex with a student, Coine Audiat pleaded no contest to having sex with a minor in 2016 and 23-year-old Darci Lake was arrested for an inappropriate relationship. 27-year-old Brittany Zamora from Arizona was arrested on similar charges. Keri Hoffman, 35, was also arrested for an alleged relationship with a student. More recently, 29-year-old Tiffany Ranweiler-Oblander and 33-year-old Maren Oates were arrested on similar charges.

River Edge Strip Mall Facade Collapse: Full Story & Must-See Details

A facade has collapsed at the Kress Plaza strip mall in River Edge New Jersey. The incident happened around 10 a.m. EST. There are reports of people, both patrons and employees, trapped inside. Police say that while cars were crushed, there were no injuries.
Emergency response crews are currently at the scene. There is no word how many people are currently trapped.
The River Edge Strip Mall is located on Kinderkamack Road.

Overland Park, Kansas Shooting: Full Story of Sunrise Elementary School Shooting

A shooting at an elementary school in Overland Park, Kansas has let two worked in critical condition. The suspect is currently still at large. The shooting reportedly happened at Sunrise Elementary School. No children were injured in the shooting.
According to reports from the Kansas City Star, the shooting was reported just after 9 a.m. Tuesday outside Sunrise Point Elementary School at 158th Street and Roe Avenue.
The shooting suspect fled and a few minutes later attempted to carjack someone at a car wash at 151st Street and Metcalf Avenue. Following the shooting and the carjacking attempt, the unidentified suspect stole another vehicle at gunpoint near 148th Street and Metcalf.
Police said the suspect was last seen driving a black GMC Denali. At this time, there is no information about the suspect other than the vehicle he was last seen in.
At this time, the victims in the shooting have not been identified.

Carmen Cincotti
Carmen Cincotti, an up-and-comer in the Major League Eating industry, might be the name you don’t know yet but should learn before the competition. Cincotti competed last year in the contest and he came in second place after downing 60 hot dogs. Cincotti is ranked #2 in the Major League Eating rankings and is looking to claim his first mustard belt. Cincotti has held five different records in the Major League Eating industry since he signed with them in 2016. Cincotti is looking to avenge his second place finish from last year by stunning the whole world and taking down Chestnut this year.
Gideon Oji
Oji is the biggest athlete to ever compete in the Major League Eating industry at 6-foot-9. He uses his full frame to full effect and his lengthy torso to help him down hot dogs. Oji competed in this competition in 2016 and he came in fourth place after finishing 38 hot dogs. This year he qualified for the contest by winning the Washington D.C. regional qualifier finishing 21 hot dogs. Oji has held three different records during his short career in Major League Eating. Could Oji become the darkest of dark horses and take a major step in his career by claiming his first mustard belt?

Alabama Fraternity Suing Restaurant For Racial Discrimination

An African-American fraternity in Tuscaloosa, Alabama has sued the Cyrpress Inc restaurant for alleged racial discrimination.
The Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity claims that they were the subject of two counts of racial discrimination after being denied from renting Cypress Inns’ pavilion.
The complaint, which was filed on June 27, 2018, states the fraternity was not provided the same services as similarly provided to white customers.
In the suit, Kappa Alpha Psi is requesting compensatory damages, punitive damages and for a judge to impose permanent injunctions barring Cypress Inn from engaging “in illegal discriminatory conduct.”

According to the complaint, the Kappas attempted to rent the Cypress Inn’s Annex Pavilion around Dec. 15, 2017, for a social event planned for Feb. 23, 2018. The fraternity paid a $1,500 reservation fee to book the venue.
A representative of the fraternity met with one of Cypress Inn’s employees on Feb. 6, 2018, to solidify plans for the event when the student was told the group could not rent the facility. The complaint states the Cypress Inn representative said they were not aware the Kappas were an “all black group.”
Cypress Inn cited insufficient security personnel as a reason for not proceeding with the event, the lawsuit states. According to the complaint, the fraternity offered to provide security at their own expense, provided proof of insurance, offered the option of a security waiver and provided photos of past events and was met with a refusal to rent.
The fraternity’s reservation fee was refunded.
Furthermore, Kappa Alpha Psi’s lawsuit states that the owner of Cypress Inn stated that the restaurant had encountered problems with their “kind” in the past. Whether the owner meant fraternities or African Americans has yet to be proved.

The Shins & The Black Keys Musician Richard Smith Passes Away At 41

Producer and musician Richard Swift of The Shins and The Black Keys has died at age 41. He was perhaps best known for being a member of the indie rock band The Shins.
Dan Auerbach, Swift’s former bandmate, confirmed the news on Instagram.
Swift, who was the bassist for the Black Keys in 2014 and also played drums in the Arcs, was previously hospitalized due to a “serious medical condition.”
Prior to his death, a GoFundMe page set up to raise money for his medical bills.
At this time, Swift’s exact cause of death is not known. He was born on March 16, 1977.

Swift was born in California. He grew up living in Minnesota, Utah, and Oregon before eventually moving back to Southern California to pursue music. While working at a studio called the Green Room in Huntington Beach, Swift made his first records—Walking Without Effort and The Novelist—during his off hours in the early 2000s. Early Years

On July 4, 2007, Chestnut won the 92nd Annual Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest, beating six-time defending champion Takeru “Tsunami” Kobayashi by consuming 66 hot dogs and buns (HDB) in 12 minutes, which set a new world record. The following year, he successfully defended his title by winning a 5 hot dog eat-off after tying Kobayashi in consuming 59 HDB in 10 minutes. On July 4, 2009, Chestnut beat Kobayashi again, by consuming a new world record of 68 HDB and winning his third consecutive title.
Then, on July 4, 2010, Chestnut took home his 4th consecutive Mustard Belt eating 54 HDB. The 2010 contest was a runaway victory, as Kobayashi did not compete due to a contract dispute with Major League Eating. On July 4, 2011, he won his fifth-consecutive championship with 62 HDB. 2012 marked his sixth consecutive win when Chestnut tied his own world record from 2009 by devouring 68 HDB. In 2013, Chestnut captured his seventh straight title, eating a total of 69 HDB, breaking his previous world record. In 2014, Chestnut won his eighth straight title eating a total of 61 HDB.
Chestnut graduated from San Jose State in 2012.
