In the mid-90s, Chris landed a DJ job at KROQ radio in Los Angeles. In 1993 he was hired to host a show called Trashed on MTV. It was his next MTV hosting gig, for a show called Singled Out, that made him famous. Hardwick co-hosted Singled Out from 1995 – 1998.

After Singled Out went off the air, he hopped from show to show, briefly serving as host to G4’s Web Soup. He also began performing comedy regularly around Los Angeles and eventually other cities. Hardwick became more popular for his flexibility to jump into any role and engage with people about the material at hand.

2010-Present

In 2010, Chris launched The Nerdist Podcast which helped bring his career to a new level. His “Nerd” empire grew to a production studio, television shows and more. In 2011, Chris began hosting Talking Dead, a live half-hour aftershow that discussed The Walking Dead. Chris parlayed this job into a series of related after shows including Talking Bad (for Breaking Bad), Talking Preacher (for Preacher), and eventually received his own Sunday night program called Talking with Chris Hardwick where he’d host various guests on the couch for an open format talk show covering a wide variety of topics.

In July 2012, movie studio Legendary pictures purchased Nerdist Industries for an undisclosed price. From 2013 – 2017, he hosted the Comedy Central game show @midnight with Chris Hardwick. The show, which Chris also created, wrote and executive produced, ultimately aired 600 episodes.

In 2016 Hardwick was hired to host the game show The Wall, which Lebron James is the executive producer, at NBC. The show’s premise was to have teams of two compete in four rounds of games, dropping large balls down a towering wall, in hopes of winning millions of dollars in prizes.

In June 2018, Chris’ ex-girlfriend Chloe Dykstra accused him of being sexually and emotionally abusive for years during their relationship. This instantly caused Nerdist to erase all mentions of Chris from their website and has jeopardized his career with his future at AMC and NBC unclear and his involvement in many passion projects destroyed.

A Frugal Fannies in Westwood, Massachusettes, has been evacuated. Images from the scene show that shoppers have been cleared out of the store and that firefighters and ambulances are on the scene.

According to WCVB, several ambulances were parked near the popular women’s clothing store on Wilson Way and dozens of people sat in the grass outside the store. Reports indicate that a can of maze was accidentally discharged inside the store, triggering a HAZMAT situation.

Firefighters in full gear were seen entering the store and one person was reportedly put on a stretcher. The store is expected to re-open soon.

Negroni/Boulevardier

A Boulevardier is an American attempt to reclaim the Martini legacy that uses bourbon in the place of Campari. English playwright Noel Coward once famously stated that “a perfect Martini should be made by filling a glass with gin, then waving it in the general direction of Italy.” Out of this period was born the Montgomery, a gin-heavy Dry Martini with anywhere from a 15:1 part ratio to even a 100:1 ratio. Best served with olive, lime or lemon, the Montgomery is best prepared by coating the inside of a glass with vermouth, tossing out the excess and filling the rest with strong gin.

Vodka Martini

Many Martini connoisseurs decry Vodka Martinis as a bastardization of the original cocktail. Even the endorsement of James Bond couldn’t redeem it in their eyes. But there is a very specific advantage with replacing gin with vodka, namely that vodka carries flavor much better. Anything you mix with a Vodka Martini, be it a mixing syrup or just an olive garnish, will immediately fill the drink with a slightly sweeter version of itself without having to contrast with the taste of the gin. A shooting has happened in Malmo, Sweden. A man reportedly open-fired an automatic weapon at a crowd that was celebrating the win of Swedish national soccer team at the 2018 World Cup. Several people have been reportedly injured in the shooting.

Early reports indicate that four people have been shot. At this time, the condition of the injured is currently unknown and it is unclear if there are any fatalities. Witnesses on the scene have said that around 12 to 15 shots were fired.

Police have yet to give a motive for the shooting, however, they said there is no cause for public alarm. Swedish police are currently on the scene.

At this time, police have not given any indication of links to terrorism.

Seth Rollins proved once again that he is a fighting champion at MITB. Despite Elias getting some decent offense in, it wasn’t enough to put down The Architect. Elias was unable to get revenge for his broken guitar and Rollins walked out with his title. The question is if Rollins will continue the open challenge and immediately move on, or will Elias continue to be the musical thorn in his side?

Yesterday we saw Raw GM Kurt Angle and SmackDown Live GM Paige ribbing each other a bit about who’s brand was going to take home the MITB Briefcases. Well if you guessed that Raw would sweep the PPV, you would have been correct! The red brand won BOTH briefcases! At the end of the night, the Men’s division tried everything they could to keep Braun Stroman down but apparently, nothing was enough as The Monster Among Men was the one holding the briefcase when the bell rang. And earlier in the night it was The Goddess, Alexa Bliss who surprisingly stood tall (no pun intended) with the briefcase. Which would come into play in a big way later in the night…

We finally got Ronda Rousey’s first ever singles match, and it was for the Raw Women’s Championship! Early in the match, it looked like Nia Jax was going to just lay waste to Rousey but then Rousey began to show why people feared her in UFC. Just when it looked like the tide was going to turn in Rousey’s favor, the aforementioned Ms. Money in the Bank, Alexa Bliss appeared. She proceeded to lay waste to a surprised and exhausted Rousey and Jax with the briefcase before cashing in and pinning Jax, taking back her title from her former friend. She got her moment of bliss, but will the five feet of fury be able to stand up to the ire of Both Jax and Rousey?

The suit claims that Wilkins was not paid for time that includes practices, training, rehearsals and filming for the CMT show Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team.

Furthermore, Wilkins also claims that when she worked more than 40 hours per week, she was not paid overtime. The suit states that Wilkins only took home $4,700 annually.

UPDATE (5:40 p.m. ET): XXXtentacion, officially named Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, has been confirmed dead, according to the Broward County Sheriff’s Department. He was reportedly shot multiple times in the driver’s seat of his vehicle and a Louis Vuitton bag was taken. The suspect’s getaway vehicle has been described as a possible black Dodge Journey, Chevy Tahoe, and a Jeep Grand Cherokee. TMZ reported the news.

XXXTentacion, real name Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, was reportedly shot and killed on Monday, June 18, in Deerfield Beach, Florida. He was 20-years-old.

An eyewitness has told TMZ he was reportedly “lifeless” with “no pulse”. While nothing has been confirmed at this time, video from the scene appears to show him sitting lifelessly in the driver seat of a BMW.

Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene near Sample Road and North Dixie Highway, at around 4:20 p.m. EST.

June 17th, 2018 was one of the most anticipated days of the year for the WWE as it would hold its annual “Money In the Bank” match. This PPV has quickly become a fan favorite throughout the years and is a highlight of the summer for many WWE fans. These past two years have been especially significant as the WWE now hold two ladder matches, one for men and one for the women. This year PPV was extremely noteworthy, so in turn, let’s take a look at the top 5 takeaways from the night.

Roman Reigns

As one of the more controversial superstars of the WWE, Roman Reigns has been the center of attention from of the WWE fanbase for negative reasons. It is no secret that the fanbase has rejected Roman because they feel as though he has been “shoved down their throats.” Whether the animosity towards him was deserved is up to the viewer, but it is hard to ignore the fact that crowd is not accepting him as the WWE would have hoped.

This PPV was just another example of fans making their thoughts known. Before Roman’s match, it was obvious the fans have made their mind up about it and from the very beginning, the fans began booing, followed with chants of, “This is boring, CM Punk, NXT” and many more to name. It is tough to watch even as a Roman Reigns fan because of how outrageous the crowd has gotten. Hopefully, this could be a wake-up call to WWE that the character of Roman needs a desperate change.

Women’s Money In The Bank

The women’s “Money In The Bank” ladder match was a sight to behold as they put it all on the line in this match. Wrestlers like Sasha Banks put them all into the match by taking multiple slams onto the ladders spread around the ring. The consensus that many fans had going into the PPV was that Natalia would win the match and cash in later that night on her “good friend” Ronda Rousey which did not happen. One of the biggest surprises in the match was the support behind Becky Lynch. Becky is very underrated on the roster many many fans wanted her to get the win in this match because they felt as though it should be her time and she deserves it. Unfortunately she did not win, and instead Alexa Bliss ended up getting the win instead.

One of the highlights of last night was watching Ronda Rousey in the first televised singles match with Nia Jax. Many fans were skeptical about how Ronda would do alone, without having someone else on her team. To the surprise of many, Ronda exceeded expectations and she put on one of the best performances of the night. It was amazing to watch her adapt from MMA to WWE so flawlessly. At the end of the match, Alexa Bliss attacked Ronda and Nia for the disqualification and cashed in for the championship. With the result of the match, it looks as though Ronda may want her revenge against Alexa for her attack, as well as Nia.

AJ Styles vs. Nakamura

Arguably the best match of the night, Styles and Nakamura tore the house down with their “Last Man Standing” match. The match they went about 30 minutes they pulled out all their most significant moves and had the crowd invested in every second. In a match filled with callbacks to their previous ones, as well as many new and potentially dangerous spots. This match hopefully is the end to this feud and both competitors moving on to bigger and better things. With this loss, it is interesting to see where Nakamura will go from here, maybe compete for the United States title.

Men’s “Money In The Bank”

This years ladder match delivered with some hazardous spots, which is why it is one of the most anticipated matches of the year. The highlight of the match was Braun Strowman destroying everyone in the match as well as breaking a ladder in half by himself. He is a freak of nature, and it is why he fits perfectly in this match.

Everyone in this match shined From Rusev to Kevin Owens. Braun eventually won the match making him the next potential champion, which is well deserved because he has been the highlight of Monday Night Raw for months now. Watching Braun hold the title is a sign to behold and is one that many fans will love to see.

Florida-based rapper XXXtentacion was shot in Miami, according to multiple reports on Monday, June 18. According to eye-witnesses, XXXtentacion was reported “lifeless” and had “no pulse” in the immediate aftermath of the shooting. He was reportedly shopping for motorcycles before a suspect open-fired on the rapper. Video has surfaced online that shows the rapper’s lifeless body slumped over in the driver’s seat of his car.

XXXtentacion released his debut album, 17, on August 25, 2017, and his second album, ?, was released on March 16, 2018. The second album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, with multiple singles entering the top 30.

The albums were filled with emotional lyrics that dove deep into the impact that depression was having on the rapper, with often times dark lyrics carrying the message of his tracks.

The Early Years

Onfroy was born in Florida to Jamaican parents and was raised by his grandmother. He attended Margate Middle School but was later expelled, leading him to enroll into Sheridan House Family Ministries by his mother. He later attended Piper High School, but ultimately dropped out in the tenth grade.

2013-2016

In 2013, Onfroy’s song “News/Flock” was released. During this time, Onfroy started to record music with the help of a Blue Snowball microphone. His first song under the XXXTentacion moniker was “Vice City,” as released on SoundCloud. Around this time, Onfroy joined Ski Mask The Slump God’s group Very Rare, although he later left to develop the Members Only collective, which Ski Mask would later join. In 2014, he released his first official extended play, The Fall; he also released one collaboration album with Ski Mask The Slump God, called Members Only Vol. 1 before releasing Members Only Vol. 2 in 2015 with several members of the Members Only collective. In 2016, he released the EP Willy Wonka Was a Child Murderer.

2017-Present

In 2017, Onfroy released more of his new songs on SoundCloud. The same year also saw the release of his debut album 17 and the mixtape I Need Jesus. During this time, he announced he would go on tour, titled “The Revenge Tour,” which had 26 tour dates overall. After being named the tenth pick on the XXL “2017 Freshman Class” list, he also released his major-label debut commercial project Revenge. As the year went on, he also released his first official music video for his 2016 song “Look at Me!” and the 2015 song “Riot.” By 2018, he also branched out to sharing gaming videos and vlogs on his official YouTube page. His first single of the year was “Shining Like The Northstar.” The same year, he also released his second album, whose title was stylized as ?. On June 18, 2018, he lost his life during an incident in which he was shot in Miami.

Poland vs. Senegal resumes Group H action in the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday, June 18 in Moscow. The two teams, who are set to play in their first game of the tournament, will take the pitch at Report Otkritie Arena. Earlier in the day, Colombia and Japan, the two other nations in Group H, will play their first game in Russia.

Poland, also known as the White and Reds, are led by star striker Robert Lewandowski.

Senegal, meanwhile, has a star player of their own in Sadio Mane, who was a standout winger for Liverpool in the Premier League. If Senegal is going to make any waves in Russia, they will need to rely on Mane to have a breakout World Cup performance.

XXXTentacion, born Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, was shot and killed in Deerfield Beach, Florida, on Monday, June 18, 2018.

Before his death, Onfroy was facing more than a dozen felony charges, including witness tampering, witness harassment, false imprisonment, and aggravated battery of his pregnant girlfriend Geneva Ayala.

Onfroy was killed in a suspected drive-by shooting in Deerfield Beach. The suspects reportedly fled in a black Dodge Journey.

Mandatory training camp is approaching quickly, and every team is looking for rookies to produce. Teams always expect their first-round picks to help them compete, but the best teams can get production from their late round draft picks. Look at the Saints, 2nd rounder Marcus Williams and 3rd rounder Alvin Kamara both had tremendous impacts in getting New Orleans back to the playoffs. With that being said, let’s take a look at one draft pick each team expects to produce. Note: I attempted to avoid first rounders as much as possible.

New England Patriots

Braxton Berrios

The 6th round pick is going to need to be an immediate contributor after Julian Edelman’s suspension. He seemed to be a perfect match for the Patriots throughout the draft process. If he can develop chemistry with Tom Brady, Berrios should be able to seamlessly slide into the Patriot offense. It’s hard to look at Berrios and not see Julian Edelman, but only time will tell if his career will turn out that way.

New York Jets

Nathan Shepherd

A strong, athletic defensive tackle, the 3rd rounder has big shoes to fill. With the recent departures of Muhammad Wilkerson and Sheldon Richardson, Leonard Williams is going to need help on the defensive line. Shepherd has a lot of room to grow, as he was drafted from Division II’s Fort Hays State. If Shepherd can learn from Williams during training camp, they could prove to be a formidable duo during the 2018 season.

Miami Dolphins

Mike Gesicki

The 2nd round tight end out of Penn State could be a sneaky Rookie of the Year candidate if everything falls into place for the Dolphins. While rookie tight ends usually have historically bad numbers, Gesicki has the skill set to change that. He’s a great red zone target, and athletic enough to gain a lot of yards after the catch. Ryan Tannehill is going to need a security blanket, and with Jarvis Landry now in Cleveland, Gesicki has a chance to be that guy. Devante Parker hasn’t lived up to the hype since coming into the league, and he doesn’t seem to be a reliable target for any quarterback.

Buffalo Bills

I really wanted to put 3rd rounder Harrison Phillips in this spot, but the Bills need a quarterback desperately, and free agent AJ McCarron is not a long-term solution. Allen was selected 7th overall with clear expectations to be the franchise quarterback. He is already taking snaps with the first team and is looking to put any questions about his accuracy behind him. Even if Allen doesn’t start the year at QB1, it’s very possible he’ll have that role by the end of the year. Now the Bills need to put some receivers around him.
