With even the title being kept under the tightest of wraps, it’s honestly anyone’s guess as to what could happen next in Avengers 4. Even prior knowledge of the comics can only take one so far at this point.

But thanks to certain events in Infinity War and other recent Marvel movies, casting rumors, name drops, and even some of the aforementioned comic knowledge we managed to pick out a few characters we may very well see in next years movie.

A’lars of Titan

Little, if any, information has been given about Thanos’s homeworld and people aside from their self-destructive ways. One, in particular, was namedropped during Infinity War, however:  A’lars, his father. In the comics, A’lars, or Mentor, was the sole survivor of Thanos’s destruction of the Eternal colony on Titan and often allied with cosmic heroes against his bloodthirsty son.

In the film, there is no indication of any survivors on Titan after resource drain leads to both a mass extinction event and Thanos’s motivation for wiping out half the galaxy. But it’s still not out of the realm of possibility that one could appear, especially with Iron Man currently stuck on the planet. Even if he didn’t survive, A’lars and possibly other members of his family could still appear in either flashbacks (perhaps setting up the rumored Eternals movie) or as a Soul World manifestation like the one of young Gamora.

Adam Warlock

Multiple directors and Marvel execs have adamantly denied the presence of Adam Warlock in the MCU for years. Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn allowed us a hint of the character in a post-credits scene showing Adam’s gestation in a Sovereign cocoon, he’s shied away from confirming it as anything other than a random cameo similar to the first film’s Howard the Duck and Cosmo the Space Dog’s appearances. Still, it beggars belief that the cosmic character won’t have any presence whatsoever in a movie concerning not only Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet but the Soul World of the Soul Gem, and many fans hope for at least another after-credits scene.

(Teen) Cassie Lang

One particularly persistent casting rumor pertains to Ant-Man’s young daughter Cassie Lang and seems to indicate the already established character being aged up to a teenager. This is interesting for several reasons; aging Cassie up from a child indicates that there will either be an extremely long gap between Infinity War and Avengers 4 or the implementation of time travel (probably with the Time Stone). Additionally, in the comics the teenage Cassie is a hero herself, using Pym Particles to grow or shrink like her father. Cassie as a teenager could very well be a big step towards the next phase of the MCU and new generation of heroes.

The Celestials

A Celestial in Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)

In the comics, the Celestials are essentially the oldest living beings in the universe and nearly single-handedly responsible for the natural diversity of the evolutionary process. They more directly had a hand in creating the Eternals, a godlike race that includes Thanos and A’lars. While in the movies these beings seem to be either extinct or far from the occupied centers of the galaxy, the combined events of the last GOTG movie (where one of their number, Ego, was killed) and Infinity War could be enough to bring them into the scene. Perhaps they could even be the key to stopping the mad Titan or prove to be an even bigger threat once in possession of the Stones once more.

While I get f*cked up way less than I did in college, I actually kind of drink more now because I have a delicious new beer with my dinner every night. Our search for a location to start this brewery took us across much of Lower Bucks County, many times traveling down the well known divider between northern Philadelphia, southern Bucks, and Montgomery counties, County Line Road. One of the original names we thought of for the brewery was that of County Line Brewing. We don’t know how or why we didn’t settle on that name, but in recognition of our location so close to Philadelphia and that potential namesake, we decided to pass the name on to our flagship IPA which comes in at 6.6% ABV and is chock full of Warrior, Chinook, Columbus, Simcoe, and Centennial hops. It’s got a bready malt backbone to counter some of that hop bitterness, but not so much that this five hop combination won’t put a smile on your face. Dry hopped for nearly two weeks, County Line IPA has a lingering hop bitterness showing a complexity of resinous pine notes, citrusy lemon, and grapefruit that many IPAs on the East Coast lack.

Dave Portnoy is the founder of Barstool Sports and a man of the people. The controversial unfiltered blogger, podcast host, and businessman has been dubbed many names over the course of his meteoric rise in the industry: El Presidente, El Pres, Pres, and Davey Pageviews. He took a small print newspaper and turned into a media giant and along the way spat with anyone who came at the brand, including NFL commissioner Roger Goodell many, many times.

He is responsible for bringing laughs and sports/lifestyle news to stoolies everywhere. We have Portnoy and Barstool to thank for giving up us Saturdays Are For The Boys, Viva La Stool, One Bite Everybody Knows The Rules and the Goodell Clown Face.

So, how much is the Barstool founder worth?

Net Worth as of 2018: $10 million

Portnoy has gained substantial wealth through the success of Barstool Sports. What started as handing out newspapers in the Boston Metro, turned into major media player the Chernin Group purchasing a majority stake in the company, with Portnoy remaining in control of the content produced. As of Jan. 2018 Barstool Sports is valued at over $100 million, built brick by brick and showing no signs of slowing down.

Early Life

Portnoy is a native of Swampscott, Massachusetts born on March 22, 1977. He graduated from Swampscott High School in 1995 and wasn’t the only future sports media talent at the school. ESPN’s Todd McShay was a classmate of Portnoy’s at Swampscott.

Portnoy also shined on the baseball diamond at Swampscott before succumbing to a shoulder injury. After high school, Portnoy attended the University of Michigan and received his degree in Education.

1999-2003

After college, Portnoy returned to the Boston area and began working at an IT market research firm, Yankee Group. At Yankee Group, Portnoy worked in sales, but his interests and aspirations for something larger were growing.

Portnoy began immersing himself in the world of sports gambling. Dave saw a niche market that his gambling brain could fill. He came up with the idea of presenting a publication discussing sports spreads and betting advice, effectively stealing the market from ad-filled online websites. And thus the Barstool empire was born.

2003-Present

Barstool Sports began as a free black and white newspaper that provided betting and fantasy sports advice. Portnoy first started growing the brand by handing out the newspapers at the Boston Metro. The publication sought to seek out the “common man” and the mantra “for the common man, by the common man” was born.

After years of being a print publication, Barstool launched into the internet world and became a website in 2007. The target audience is 18-34 year-olds and implemented lifestyle content to supplement its sports news. The site snowballed in popularity. What initially was just based in the Boston area began to grow to New York, Philadelphia, and Chicago.

Portnoy brought on some of the marquee talents during this time that would eventually grow Barstool into what could be described as a cult following. Bloggers such as KFC, Big Cat, Kmarko, and Feitelberg joined, and Barstool was off and running.

In Jan. 2016 Portnoy announced in an emergency press conference that the Chernin Group would be purchasing majority stake (51%) of the company. A new CEO was introduced, Erika Nardini and calming all stoolie fears Dave remained in control of content.

The Nardini-Portnoy combo has been on a lightning-speed profitable path taking Barstool to the “moon”. Since the Chernin investment, Barstool has launched many wildly successful podcasts, a Sirius XM radio channel, became a merchandise king, and hosts the best Super Bowl pre-game party out there.

As of 2018, the company that started out as a one-man free newspaper is worth over $100 million.

It was a slap in the face to many Americans when the U.S. Men’s National Team failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup. The team has always been a shoe-in for the tournament so it’s quite a shock that such a staple team will not make an appearance. However, the more shocking news is Italy’s absence in the tournament. Sure, the United States team is good, but Italy has a long and impressive history with the World Cup.

Italy and the World Cup go waaaay back. The team secured four titles in 1934, 1938, 1982 and 2006. Not only that, but they made it to the finals in both 1970 and 1994, and walked away with third place in 1978. So what went wrong this time around?

The 1-0 defeat against Sweden in the World Cup qualifier was the obvious reason for Italy not advancing to the tournament, but the soccer-loving country doesn’t blame the team exactly. Instead, they’re looking at manager Gian Piero Ventura. The 69-year-old manager desperately clung to his old-school tactics and misused his best players. For example, Ventura failed to take advantage of the key player, Lorenzo Insigne who didn’t see the field time that a player of his ability should have.

Additionally, there was a noticeable rift between senior players such as Daniele De Rossi and Andrea Barzagli and management. Italy’s failure to qualify unfortunately resulted in the termination of the international careers of goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon and midfielder Daniele De Rossi. As for Ventura, he deservingly got the boot.

It’s the first time since 1958 that Italy hasn’t been included on the World Cup’s roster. Along with Germany, Italy has the second most World Cup appearances with a total of 18. Brazil currently has aggregated the most with 20 appearances. Even FIFA president Gianni Infantino has expressed his disappointment in regards to Italy’s no-show. He was quoted saying, “The fact that Italy didn’t qualify for the World Cup was a beautiful blow for all of Italian football.”

Guess we’ll have to keep our fingers crossed for 2022. Despite some World Cup veterans missing out this year, some new faces are being welcomed such as Iceland and Panama. The tournament certainly won’t be the same without Italy, but despite this, it will still be interesting to watch.

What Do The Stars On The World Cup Jerseys Mean?

We’ve all done it before: you’re curious about something, give it the quick Google, read up about it on Wikipedia, and next thing you know you’re delving into the history of the United States hemp industry (or lack thereof). That’s called a Wikipedia Hole: you hop on the internet’s encyclopedia to learn about one thing, only to click down so deep, you end up learning about something else entirely.

That happened to me this morning. I was Googling some information about Ohio State’s nightlight and came across the Ugly Tuna Saloona, one of OSU’s most popular bars. One thing led to another and before I knew it was I was reading the Wikipedia page of Brian Shaffer, a 27-year-old OSU medical student who vanished seemingly out of thin air from the Ugly Tuna Saloona.

Shaffer’s disappearance happened in 2006 — before the smartphone revolution, before Twitter, before all of that — so unless you were an adult at the time (which I wasn’t), you’ve likely never hear his story.

The night of March 31, 2006, was the first night of Ohio State’s Spring Break, so Shaffer went out with his friends to celebrate. At 9 p.m., Shaffer met with his friend William “Clint” Florence at the Ugly Tuna Saloona, a popular bar in the South Campus Gateway complex on High Street. Approximately an hour after meeting with Florence, Shaffer called his girlfriend Alexis Waggoner — who was home visiting her family — to tell her that he loved her.

After meeting Florence at the Ugly Tuna Saloona, Shaffer and Florence went barhopping across The Short North, a neighborhood in Columbus, Ohio. Around midnight, after the bar crawl, Shaffer and Florence met up with Meredith Reed, who gave them a ride back to the Ugly Tuna Saloona for one last drink.

What happens next can only be described as unexplainable.

While at the Ugly Tuna, Florence and Reed were separated from Shaffer despite their repeated attempts to contact him. 2 a.m. came and went with Shaffer nowhere to be found. He was last seen on security camera entering the bar around 1:15am, but not leaving. Another camera showed he hadn’t slipped out an emergency exit, either. According to police, every single person who entered the Ugly Tuna Saloona that night was seen leaving on camera, except Shaffer.

Police say it’s possible that he could have escaped through an unwatched freight elevator, claiming that security cameras from nearby bars should have spotted him afterward, especially since Columbus has the most security cameras of any city in Ohio, more than Cleveland, Cincinnati and Toledo combined.

While foul play has been suspected, it has also been speculated that he might be alive and be living somewhere else. In fact, over the years, many theories about Shaffer’s disappearance cropped up. Some say he was murdered by the Smiley Face serial killer, others say he started a new life in the Virigin Islands, while some believe he’s actually still living in Ohio.

In the months after Shaffer’s disappearance, Waggoner, his girlfriend, would call Brian’s phone every night before going to bed, despite that fact that it always went to voicemail.

“I kept calling it to hear it purely because it was one of the best sounds I have ever heard, even if no one picked up”, she once wrote on her Myspace page.

But then, on one random night in September 2006, Shaffer’s phone actually rang… three times. Cingular, Brian’s wireless provider, said the ring Waggoner heard may have been due to a computer glitch. Furthermore, given that his phone was not GPS-enabled, it’s location could not be determined.

However, despite this, a ping from Brian’s phone was detected at a cell tower. The cell phone tower’s location? In Hilliard, Ohio, 14 miles northwest of Columbus, the city where Brian was last seen.

At the time of this writing, Shaffer has been missing for 12 years, 1 month and 22 days.

As the years go by and the youth become the adults, weed has assimilated itself more and more into everyday life, and therefore, everyday business. Medical marijuana, commercial marijuana, marijuana paraphernalia, literal marijuana commercials, edible marijuana, marijuana oil, marijuana magazines, and now, COED marijuana articles. Everybody else in the United States seems to be getting in on the reefer madness, so we’ve decided to do the same by introducing a new franchise: Weed Strain of the Week.

When I think of weed strains, the first thing that comes to mind is the 2008 stoner comedy classic Pineapple Express. In one of the earliest scenes of the movie, Saul explains to Dale how fire his newest strain of marijuana — Pineapple Express — is by only referring to previous strains that Dale had smoked.

“This is like if that Blue Oyster shit met that Afghan Kush I had – and they had a baby. And then, meanwhile, that crazy Northern Light stuff I had and the Super Red Espresso Snowflake met and had a baby. And by some miracle, those two babies met and fucked – this would the shit that they birthed.”

The strain “Super Red Espresso Snowflake” always stood out because it’s the perfect skewering of drug dealers who tried tell you what kind of strain you were buying: they were really just making shit up. However, now that legal marijuana and dispensaries exist, actual marijuana strains are more prevalent than ever, so we figured it’s time we start learning them all, one by one.

We are about to embark on the fourth edition of the Golden State Warriors v. Cleveland Cavaliers finals series. Each previous battle has been memorable and infinitely meme-able — especially in 2016 when the Warriors blew that now legendary 3-1 lead. As should be expected the fourth time around, the internet has not let up. Whether the series goes a brief four games or seven, there will surely be plenty of joking and goofing around. Every May, division 1 teams across America wait anxiously to see if their hard work and dedication during a grueling regular season will pay off, by having their name called on Selection Monday. For the deserving 64 teams whose names are called, the road to Omaha is not so simple, teams are split into 16 different brackets to compete for a Regional championship. The 16 regional champs, then move on to the Super Regionals, where there are eight different best of three series. The winners of each of the Super Regionals then become the Omaha Eight as it is known, where they are split into two brackets of four and compete in a double elimination style tournament to determine a champion. After that, the two teams left standing go head to head in a best of three series to determine the National Champion.

With selection Monday right around the corner on May 28th, we take a look back at the storied history of Omaha and the College World Series. What started as a winner take all, single-game elimination tournament in Kalamazoo, Michigan, has grown into one of the finest spectacles in college sports. There would only be one more World Series played in Kalamazoo before changing locations to Wichita, Kansas in 1949. After just one year, the location again was changed to Omaha, Nebraska where it has remained ever since.

Laura Ruth Harrier is an American actress and model best known for her portrayal of Liz in Spider-Man: Homecoming. In 2018, she will star in the Spike Lee-directed film BlacKkKlansman.

Harrier was born on March 28, 1990 in Chicago, Illinois, and raised in Evanston, Illinois, where she attended Evanston Township High School until her graduation in 2008. Harrier left for New York at age 18 to attend the New York University Gallatin School of Individualized Study before attending the William Esper Studio acting school in New York City.

She made her acting debut in the reboot of American soap opera One Life to Live as Destiny Evans. She has also been in projects such as The Last Five Years in 2014, and 4th Man Out in 2016. She then made her feature film debut in the Marvel Studios film Spider-Man: Homecoming as Peter Parker’s love interest.

In 2018, Harrier starred in Fahrenheit 451 (although her footage was cut from the film) and BlacKkKlansman, a Spike Lee-directed movie about an African American police officer who infiltrates the KKK using his “white man” voice.

In the world of soccer, there is no bigger name than FIFA. The international governing body of the entire sport, FIFA isn’t just the company that releases annual games for X-box and PlayStation, it also has an almost 90-year history of presenting the biggest spectacle in soccer: the quadrennial FIFA World Cup. The tournament brings together the 32 teams who qualify in an organized brawl for glory, pitting nations against each other in 90-minute battles for supremacy. This legendary event is set to return on June 14, 2018 in Russia for the 21st incarnation of the tournament. But with some returning victors coming back to pad out their legacy and a few new faces here to prove themselves worthy of playing with champions, it’s time to take a look back and review all the previous winners leading up to this year’s games.

1930 Winner: Uruguay

In the very first FIFA World Cup, held in Uruguay in 1930, the local heroes won a decisive victory over Argentina with a final score of 4-2. This was the first of two championship wins for the team colloquially known as La Celeste. It is also the smallest country in FIFA history to win the World Cup, both in terms of size and population, making it the perpetual and beloved underdog of the tournament.

1934 Winner: Italy

Set against the backdrop of historic Rome, the Italian team called Gli Azzurri slew Czechoslovakia to win 2-1 in the 1934 FIFA World Cup finals. It was the start of a 16-years championship defense for Italy, a FIFA record that continues to this day. After the initial 90 minutes of play, the score was tied at 1-1, making this the first FIFA final to go into extra time.

1938 Winner: Italy

Italy continued its winning streak in 1928 with a conclusive 4-2 win against Hungary. The games had been held in Paris, France that year, making it the first time the championship was won by a foreign team. Though at the time it appeared that Italy was an unstoppable soccer force, it would be over 40 years before they recaptured the title, with a finals loss to Brazil along the way.

1950 Winner: Uruguay

After putting the games on hold for 12 years during World War II, Uruguay won 2-1 against Brazil to capture the 1950 FIFA World Cup. Interestingly, the tournament was held in a round-robin format as opposed to the more traditional knockout style. This meant that the odds were overwhelmingly in Brazil’s favor going into the match as all they needed was to draw the match to win the championship. In the 2018 Cup, Uruguay is placed in Group A, set to face Egypt in the first round.

1954 Winner: West Germany

In Switzerland in 1954, West Germany’s Mannschaft beat Hungary 3-2 for that year’s FIFA World Cup. It was the first major sports victory for Germany following World War II, having been excluded from international competition until 1950. Though West Germany would eventually be folded into the German republic, it is considered the same franchise as the German team that plays for FIFA today, making this the first of their four championship wins.

1958 Winner: Brazil

Brazil is one of the biggest threats in any FIFA tournament. With five wins, they hold the record for most championships, beginning with their explosive 5-2 win against Sweden in the 1958 World Cup held in their opponent’s homeland. The game itself is historic not only for being Brazil’s first championship win, but also for most goals scored in a World Cup final and greatest winning margin in FIFA World Cup history. It was also the game that made star player Pele a household name.

1962 Winner: Brazil

Brazil had always been considered a formidable opponent on the soccer field, but the team secured its legacy in 1962 after beating Czechoslovakia 3-1 in the finals of the 1962 World Cup held in Chile. It was the second and last time in the tournament’s history when the defending champions would successfully defend their title. The victory was considered vengeance for Pele, who had injured himself in a game against Czechoslovakia earlier in the Cup and wasn’t able to play in the finals.

1966 Winner: England

The first and only FIFA championship for England came in 1966 against former champions West Germany on their home turf with a final score of 4-2 decided in over time. The game caused a stir of controversy and the argument as to whether or not England’s third goal, the famed “Wembley Goal,” should have counted. England is in Group G for the 2018 games and will play their first game of the tournament against Tunisia on June 18th.

1970 Winner: Brazil

After not even reaching the finals in the previous World Cup, Brazil was eager to reclaim its lost title in a punishing 4-1 victory over Italy in the 1970 FIFA games held in Mexico. It was the first time that former champions had met in the finals. The game was also Pele’s last championship win before retiring, making him the first and only three-time championship winner in FIFA history.

1974 Winner: West Germany

The 1974 FIFA World Cup finals ended with a 2-1 victory for West Germany against the Dutch Oranje. West Germany had home field advantage but both teams played with a solid defensive line up. The winning goal came in the first half of the game and the score remained unchanged throughout the second half. This was also the first World Cup final in which penalties were awarded, though it certainly would not be the last.

1978 Winner: Argentina

Having not reached the FIFA finals since 1930, Argentina’s Albicelestes were overjoyed with their 1978 World Cup home turf win against the Netherlands with a 3-1 score after overtime. It was the second year in a row that the Netherlands had lost to the host nation and while they wouldn’t reach the tournament finals again until 2010, it was only a few years later when Argentina would return to the last round of the Cup.

1982 Winner: Italy

With their 3-1 win over West Germany in the 1982 FIFA World Cup held in Spain, Italy became tied with Brazil for most championships, though that tie would later be broken. Italy took an early 3-0 lead and openly taunted West Germany to catch up with them. Though the game was something of a blowout, it was significant for featuring 40-year old Dino Zoff as the Italian Captain and goalkeeper. He is the oldest player to win the FIFA World Cup.

1986 Winner: Argentina

Argentina retook its championship with a narrow 3-2 win over West Germany in the 1986 FIFA World Cup held in Mexico. With the game stuck at 2-2 for most of the second half, Jorge Burruchaga scored the winning goal at the 84th minute, making this one of the closest FIFA World Cup finals not to go into extra time. Argentina will be featured in Group D for the 2018 games and will begin the tournament against Iceland.

1990 Winner: West Germany

In a climactic rematch, West Germany beat Argentina 1-0 at the 1990 FIFA World Cup in Italy. The game was famous for being the first and only time that the two teams from the previous finals were set to face each other for the championship, for being the first FIFA World Cup final in which one of the teams failed to make a single goal and for being the first final in which a red card was flashed.

1994 Winner: Brazil

In the tightest FIFA World Cup final in history, Brazil beat Italy in a scoreless game with a penalty shootout after extra time failed to determine a winner. Held for the first time in the United States, the game was hailed as a credit to both teams as they featured excellent offensive and defensive plays. Even the penalty shootouts were exceedingly close, a victor only being named after Roberto Baggio famously whiffed a kick over the bar.

1998 Winner: France

In a surprise twist, France won it’s only FIFA World Cup championship with a solid 3-0 win over the Brazilian defending champions. Brazil had been dominant throughout the tournament and had been the favorite going into the finals, but star player Ronaldo de Lima was injured early in the game and the team never fully recovered, giving France the opening it needed. France is featured in Group C for the 2018 World Cup and is scheduled to play Australia in the opening round.

2002 Winner: Brazil

The most recent championship win for the most successful soccer club in FIFA history, Brazil won 2-0 against the reorganized German team in the 2002 World Cup held in Japan. Humiliated and motivated by the previous year’s devastating loss to France, Brazil played aggressively and though they missed several shots, made the only two goals that mattered in the game. In 2018 they are set in Group E with plans to face Switzerland on June 17th.

2006 Winner: Italy

In their last FIFA World Cup championship game, Italy walked away with the win after a 1-1 game against France went to penalty shootouts. It was the first FIFA final since 1978 not to feature either Germany or Brazil and the two European teams took advantage of their position to show off their matched skills, leading to a tense shootout which saw Italy take the win. Italy didn’t qualify for the FIFA 2018 World Cup, the first time it has failed to do so since 1958.

2010 Winner: Spain

The first time Spain reached the FIFA World Cup finals was also the year it got it’s first win, with a 1-0 victory over the Netherlands in South Africa. The close game is known as “the Battle of Johannesburg” due to the intense back-and-forth the occurred during the game. With neither team willing to give an inch, the game went into extra time with a 0-0 score with Spain getting the game winning goal with only four minutes left on the clock. In 2018, Spain is slotted in Group B and is to play their Portuguese neighbors first.

2014 Winner: Germany

In the last FIFA World Cup final, Germany beat long-time rival Argentina in a harrowing 1-0 game in Brazil. Their first championship as a unified nation, Germany took the championship in extra time after a long, scoreless game. The match was marked with numerous injuries, leading to the game winning goal to be made by a substitute for the first time in the institution’s history. Germany is slated in Group F for the 2018 World Cup and will play Mexico on June 17th.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, or TBI, has confirmed that a suspect Tennessee Bureau of Investigation who is accused of killing a Dickson County deputy on Wednesday has been taken into custody and was identified as Steven Wiggins. According to police, with the search spanning days, Wiggins was taken into custody after he was found early Friday morning, with the TBI also releasing more information concerning the case.

What happened?

The TBI released a photo of Wiggins in handcuffs in the back of a squad car early Friday morning on social media. Notably, his clothes appeared to be covered in mud with his jeans also having a noticeable rip.

On their official Twitter account, the TBI issued the following statements concerning the case:

“CAPTURED: Steven Wiggins is in custody! More details soon!”

“Teamwork and diligence has paid off! Steven Wiggins is in law enforcement custody. Thank you for your support during these past few days. More details on the arrest as soon as we can pull them together.”

According to The Tennessean, Wiggins is suspected to have taken the life of Daniel Baker, a Dickinson County sheriff’s deputy this past Wednesday while he was responding to a call concerning a suspicious vehicle on Sam Vineyard Road, around 40 miles west of Nashville; Baker was later found dead inside his vehicle in a wooded area a few miles away from the scene.

On Thursday night, Dickson Emergency Communications issued an alert concerning Wiggins being in the area of Wrigley Road in Lyles, which is located in Hickman County, and asked people to with information to call 911.

Who is Steven Wiggins?

Wiggins, whose full name is given as Steven Joshua Wiggins, is believed to be either 31 or 32 at the time of the incident.

According to WHNT, the TBI added Wiggins to the Top 10 Most Wanted list, meaning that there was a $2,500 reward for information that would lead to his arrest. Thanks to a donation from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, the reward was increased to $7,500. Afterward, the U.S. Marshals Service, the Dickson County Government, the Tennessee Fraternal Order of Police, and Governor Bill Haslam had also added to the reward for information, leading to a reward of $46,000.

TBI Special Agents have also arrested and charged a Dickson woman in connection to the investigation concerning Baker’s death, although her connection to Wiggins is unclear at this time.

An unidentified female University of Tennessee student claims that she was raped last fall at an on-campus fraternity.

According to a criminal report made May 23, the rape was not reported to University of Tennesee police Police and no police report was created. Jillian Paciello, the Clery Act compliance coordinator and deputy Title IX coordinator for law enforcement for the UT Police Department, said that the victim did not identify a specific fraternity.

Furthermore, Jillian Paciello said that crime was reported to a university staff member who then reported it to a “campus security authority.”

Under the Clery Act, colleges and universities that take part in federal financial aid programs must track and make public campus crime statistics and security information, according to the Federal Student Aid Office under the U.S. Department of Education.

Designated campus security authorities are responsible for reporting qualifying crimes that took place on campus, in public places adjacent to campus and in certain non-campus buildings owned or leased by the school, UT’s website states.

Ashley Blamey, Title IX coordinator for the university, said she could not share details about the case, citing privacy rights that protect student information.

This is just the latest alleged on-campus rape that has been reported in the last couple of weeks, with similar incidents happening at MIT and the University of Nebraska.

Miranda Nicole Pauley, a 34-year-old biology teacher at Patrick Henry High School, was arrested and charged with indecent liberties in Hanover County, Virginia, on Thursday, May 31.

Pauley, of Hanover, Virginia, has been charged with four counts of indecent liberties by a custodian and a count of use of a communication system for crimes against children, according to police. The five counts against Pauley are all class 6 felonies. According to reports, at least one of Pauley’s incident was at the high school.

At the time of this writing, Pauley was being held without bond at Pamunkey Regional Jail. Hanover County Public Schools released the following statement about Pauley’s arrest:

“This news is very disturbing, and we take these matters seriously. We became aware of the arrest this afternoon and immediately referred it to our Human Resources Department. While our policy prohibits the release of specific details concerning personnel-related matters, we will continue to work closely and in full cooperation with the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office.”

Pauley is just the latest teacher to be charged for an alleged relationship with a teenager student.  Over the course of just a few months, educators across the country were arrested for entering into an inappropriate relationship with their students, Tennessee teacher Janet Smothers, LaToya Parker, Florida teacher Caroline Lawson, 26-year-old Allyson Moran and Katherine Ross Ridenhour were all arrested on similar charges.

The list goes on to include 22-year-old Oklahoma science teacher Hunter Day, 28-year-old teacher Megan Kotarski, 23-year-old history teacher Michelle Schiffer, 29-year-old Alyssia Marie Reddy, special education teacher Jordan Ondish and 28-year-old Samantha Fitzpatrick have all been allegedly carrying on inappropriate relationships with their students.

In addition, 31-year-old Nicole Marie Andrews, 32-year-old Jessica Langford, 29-year-old Andrea Baber, 27-year-old Robin Dunlap, 27-year-old Jennifer Olajire-Aro have also been charged with these charges.

42-year-old Heather Butts of California was arrested on a second-degree felony charge, Nancy Leigh Ann Brann, a former Christian school teacher, was arrested for having sex with a student, Coine Audiat pleaded no contest to having sex with a minor in 2016 and 23-year-old Darci Lake was arrested for an inappropriate relationship. 27-year-old Brittany Zamora from Arizona was arrested on similar charges. Keri Hoffman, 35, was also arrested for an alleged relationship with a student. More recently, 29-year-old Tiffany Ranweiler-Oblander and 33-year-old Maren Oates were arrested on similar charges.

Walmart, the largest private sector employer in the United States, announced a new plan that will pay for college its employees. Walmart currently employees approximately 1.4 million people.

According to multiple reports, Walmart will offer all full-time, part-time and salaried employees the opportunity to attend college for only $1 a day for the duration of their college program. Walmart will cover the full cost of tuition, fees, and books. However, there are a couple catches.

First, the dollar-a-day education is for online courses only and only through the University of Florida, Brandman University in Irvine, California, and Bellevue University in Nebraska. Furthermore, participants can only major in either business or supply chain management. Lastly, employees who wish to participate in the program must have worked at Walmart for at least 90 days.

Walmart says they expect that all Walmart associates who apply will be accepted.

Walmart will only cover associates and bachelor’s degrees in business and supply chain management since they are “parts of a broader approach to preparing the workforce to succeed today and into the future.”

“Investing in the personal and professional success of our associates is vital to Walmart’s future success,” said Greg Forman, CEO of Walmart U.S., in a statement. “We know training and learning opportunities empower associates to deliver for customers while growing and advancing in their careers.”

Walmart is partnering with Guild Education, a leading education benefits platform, which will provide academic counselors to help Walmart associates with everything from the application process to choosing the right degree. According to the Washington Post, Walmart expects as many as 68,000 associates to enroll in the program in the first five years.

According to  Make Lemonade, there are more than 44 million borrowers who collectively owe more than $1.4 trillion of student loan debt in the United States. Yikes.
