Rihanna’s latest endeavor is a lingerie line, called Savage x Fenty, with internationally known fashion house Fenty. Rihanna collaborated with Fenty in 2017 to launch their make-up line. According to Harper’s Bazaar, while the Fenty Beauty Line just launched in September of 2017, it’s already on track to outsell Kylie Jenner’s Kylie Cosmetics brand, which has already been established for two years. That’s the Rihanna effect for ya.

While the Savage x Fenty line officially launched on May 11, let’s hope that doesn’t mean the end of Rihanna’s promotion of it, because, well …

Massachusettes Institute of Technology police is investigating an alleged rape inside a fraternity house. On Wednesday, May 23, an alert was sent out to the MIT community about the incident. The victim told authorities that the alleged rape happened on May 19 during a party at Theta Delta Chi on Memorial Drive.

According to reports, while the victim and suspect talked during the party, they did not know each other before that night. They went back to the suspect’s bedroom in the fraternity house. MIT Police said the victim made it clear to the suspect that she did not want to have sex with the man. However, despite this, the unidentified perpetrator had non-consensual sexual intercourse with the victim. The unidentified woman left the bedroom immediately after.

At this time, MIT police do not currently have a description of the suspect and have not released the alleged assailant’s identity. That is all the information available at this time.

This is just the latest instance of a rape allegation at an American college campus. In May 2018, a former University of Nebraska student sued the Chi Phi fraternity for rape. Also in Spring of 2018, Ari Goldstein, a former President of a Temple University fraternity, was charged with rape. In December 2017, Missouri State University police investigated an alleged rape at the Alpha Kappa Lambda fraternity. In addition, over the course of the past year, fraternities at Northwestern University, the University of Minnesota, Indiana University, Clemson University and the University of Central Florida have been investigated for alleged rapes.

Meta Lovely, a 54-year-old teacher in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, is under arrest due to allegations that she had sexual relations with an underaged student. Local authorities say that Lovely was arrested on Wednesday, May 23.

According to AL.com, the police department’s Juvenile Division was alerted on May 2 about the possible improper relationship between Lovely, a substitute at Tuscaloosa City Schools, and an unidentified student. During the investigation, it was determined that Lovely was involved in a sexual relationship with the underage student.

Following their investigation, police obtained a warrant for a school employee engaging in a sex with a student under the age of 19 against Lovely on Wednesday. Lovely then turned herself into authorities and was booked into the county jail on $30,000 bond.

Tuscaloosa police on Wednesday announced the arrest of Meta Lovely. She lives in Duncanville.

Lt. Teena Richardson said the police department’s Juvenile Division was alerted May 2 to a possible improper relationship between a Tuscaloosa City Schools substitute teacher and a student. During the investigation, it was determined that Lovely, a substitute teacher, was involved in a sexual relationship with a student of the Tuscaloosa City Schools System.

Lovely is not an employee of TCS, but she is an employee of Kelly Educational Staffing — which has a contract with the system to provide substitute teachers. Because she is contracted through a third party she still falls under the umbrella of the charge, police said.

Lovely is just the latest teacher to be charged for an alleged relationship with a teenager student.  Over the course of just a few months, educators across the country were arrested for entering into an inappropriate relationship with their students, Tennessee teacher Janet Smothers, LaToya Parker, Florida teacher Caroline Lawson, 26-year-old Allyson Moran and Katherine Ross Ridenhour were all arrested on similar charges.

The list goes on to include 22-year-old Oklahoma science teacher Hunter Day, 28-year-old teacher Megan Kotarski, 23-year-old history teacher Michelle Schiffer, 29-year-old Alyssia Marie Reddy, special education teacher Jordan Ondish and 28-year-old Samantha Fitzpatrick have all been allegedly carrying on inappropriate relationships with their students.

In addition, 31-year-old Nicole Marie Andrews, 32-year-old Jessica Langford, 29-year-old Andrea Baber, 27-year-old Robin Dunlap, 27-year-old Jennifer Olajire-Aro have also been charged with these charges.

42-year-old Heather Butts of California was arrested on a second-degree felony charge, Nancy Leigh Ann Brann, a former Christian school teacher, was arrested for having sex with a student, Coine Audiat pleaded no contest to having sex with a minor in 2016 and 23-year-old Darci Lake was arrested for an inappropriate relationship. 27-year-old Brittany Zamora from Arizona was arrested on similar charges. Keri Hoffman, 35, was also arrested for an alleged relationship with a student. More recently, 29-year-old Tiffany Ranweiler-Oblander was arrested on similar charges.

Jessica Reisinger, 24, was killed on Wednesday, May 23, in Tampa, Florida she was struck by a speeding car that was speed racing. Reisinger was with her 21-month-old daughter Lillia Raubenolt, who remains in critical condition. Reisinger was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Reisinger and her daughter, who live in Jeromesville, Ohio, were crossing Bayshore Boulevard in Tampa, Florida when a 2018 black Ford Mustang struck them.

The three men responsible for Reisinger’s death have been identified as Cameron Herrin, 18, John Barrineau, 17, and Tristan Herrin, 20. Cameron Herrin and Barrineau face charges of street racing, vehicular homicide and reckless driving resulting in serious bodily injury, while Tristan Herrin, a passenger in the Mustang, was charged with one count of racing.

Police say that 18-year-old Cameron Herrin was driving a black Mustang with 20-year-old Tristan Christopher Herrin in the passenger seat, reportedly engaging in a street race with a Nissan driven by 17-year-old John Alexander Barrineau. Witnesses said that at times the cars were side by side, frequently switching places and changing lanes before striking Resinger and her daughter at the intersection of Bayshore Boulevard and W. Knights Avenue.

The Mustang driven by Cameron Herrin ended up striking the victims, who were attempting to lawful cross the pedestrian ramp at the intersection of Bayshore Boulevard and W Knights Avenue.

The drivers of the two cars – Cameron Herrin and John Barrineau – face charges of street racing, vehicular homicide, and reckless driving resulting in serious bodily injury. Tristan Herrin, the passenger in the Mustang, faces one count of racing. In the state of Florida, it is illegal to knowingly ride as a passenger in an illegal street race, according to Florida Statute 316.191.

Cameron Herrin received a $10,000 bond and bonded out of jail shortly before 8 a.m. Thursday morning, driven away by a family member. Tristan Herrin received a $500 bond and bonded out of jail around 4:30 a.m. Thursday morning., taken home by his father according to jail workers. John Barrineau was booked into a juvenile detention center.

It’s the news you’ve all been waiting for! The two finalists for the 2017/2018 UEFA Champions League have officially been announced. The match is set to take place on May 26, 2018, in NSC Olimpiyskiy Stadium in Kiev, Ukraine with kick-off at 7:45pm UK time. Here’s what to expect.

One of Cristiano Ronaldo’s hobbies is collecting hat-tricks, and he’s determined to get one of his biggest ones yet. Real previously won the 2016 and 2017 league title, and winning this year’s would be the cherry on top of a semi-melted sundae because let’s face it– Real hasn’t performed all that well compared to previous seasons. In the semi-final 2-2 match against Bayern Munich, Real was outperformed. Bayern appeared physically stronger than Real and had ample opportunities, but at the end of the day, the team blew some crucial shots. That being said, Liverpool has also been a bit shaky this season. Ahem, the match against Roma on May 2nd. The 4-2 loss was not exactly the outcome that Liverpool expected.

Nonetheless, guided by manager Jürgen Klopp, Liverpool is leading the league in goals. The club currently has a total of 40 goals, while Real has 30. The English team is also backed by a very distinguished trio: Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino. Though the team’s style of play has been described as reckless by some, a strong attack coupled with a very passionate and spirited coach may carry Liverpool to victory. To be fair, there’s no arguing that Real is a talented team. Their past speaks for itself, and superstar Ronaldo definitely has the stats to back him. Not to mention Real manager Zinedine Zidane. He’s only the third coach in history to reach three consecutive Champions League finals. Really the outcome of the game could go either way. It wouldn’t be the first time we were surprised by the final score of a match this season.

Some have claimed this is a personal match against Champions League top scorer Ronaldo and Premier League’s top scorer Salah. However, Salah has denied this stating that his team as a whole is responsible for making it to the finals because he could not have done it alone. Regardless, having these two prolific players on the field at the same time will definitely heighten the entertainment aspect of the game. So get ready. It’s a match where you’re going to wanna grab some popcorn.

The 2018 Kanye West Story continues, as a clip of his new feature verse on Pusha T’s ‘DAYTONA’ album has leaked on the internet. The verse will appear on Pusha T’s upcoming album ‘DAYTONA’, which is set to be released on Friday, May 25. As for Kanye himself, his own new album will drop on June 1, and a collaboration with Kid Cudi titled “Kids See Ghost”, is due out on June 8.

While I’m far from being a music expert (music is the least of my pop cultural interests when it comes to movies, TV, and music), but this new verse is absolutely … average? Like, the rhymes are decent, but the “poop scoop” nonsense forced in at the beginning just puts a bad taste in my mouth from the get-go.

Kanye is like that guy from high school who would make fun of the substitute teacher and think he was being hilarious, but really everyone in class just thought he was an asshole. That’s what Kanye has devolved into, which is a shame because his first five albums (College Dropout, Late Registration, Graduation, 808s & Heartbreak, and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy) were as epic of a run as any rapper has ever had.

Who knows … maybe Kanye West has been able to turn all this madness surrounding him into an album of bangers. Or maybe half of the tracks are just him rhyming words that end with “oop” because he thinks he’s making some sort of profound statement on the nation’s racial relations. All I truly know is … I miss the old Kanye.

Sexual Assault Allegations

On Thursday, May 24, 2018, Freeman was accused of inappropriate behavior and harassment by a total of 18 women. CNN reported the news, detailing accounts that allegedly occurred while promoting his movies and at his production company Revelations Entertainment.

Of those 16, seven people described an environment at Revelations Entertainment that included allegations of harassment or inappropriate behavior by Freeman there, with one incident allegedly witnessed by Lori McCreary, Freeman’s co-founder in the enterprise, and another in which she was the target of demeaning comments by Freeman in a public setting. One of those seven people alleged that McCreary made a discriminatory remark regarding a female candidate for a job at the Producers Guild of America, where McCreary is co-president. Four people who worked in production capacities on movie sets with Freeman over the last ten years described him as repeatedly behaving in ways that made women feel uncomfortable at work. Two, including the production assistant on “Going in Style” whose skirt he allegedly attempted to lift, said Freeman subjected them to unwanted touching. Three said he made public comments about women’s clothing or bodies. But each of them said they didn’t report Freeman’s behavior, with most saying it was because they feared for their jobs. Instead, some of the women — both on movie sets and at Revelations — said, they came up with ways to combat the alleged harassment on their own, such as by changing the way they dressed when they knew he would be around.

CNN reached out to dozens more people who worked for or with Freeman. Some praised Freeman, saying they never witnessed any questionable behavior or that he was a consummate professional on set and in the office.

At long last, the NBA Western Conference Finals are finally upon us. This series is between the Houston Rockets and the Golden State Warriors. The Rockets entered the season with hopes of dethroning the Warriors as Western Conference champions. So far, the Rockets have held their own against the defending champions and are two home victories away from a berth in the NBA Finals. With the series tied at two games apiece, both teams are in must-win territory and will look to take commanding 3-2 series lead.

Houston’s success is due to its elite duo which consists of James Harden and Chris Paul. This season, Harden has looked like a lock to win the MVP award. Harden averaged 30.4 points and 8.8 assists per game as he carried the Rockets to the best record in the NBA this season. However, unlike previous years, Harden finally has a fellow superstar on his team who might be able to lighten the load for Harden throughout the rest of this series. Assisting Harden is future Hall of Fame point guard Chris Paul. In his first season with the Rockets, Paul was phenomenal and averaged 18.6 points along 7.9 assists and 5.4 rebounds per game.

In game four, Harden and Paul basically carried the Rockets to a 95-92 victory in Golden State. Harden was somewhat inefficient as he shot 11-26 from the floor but still scored 30 points. However, Paul took over the game. In 42 minutes, Paul scored 27 points on 10-20 shooting and even hit five three pointers. However, none of the other five Rockets players who played scored more than 14 points. Although Harden and Paul are a great duo, others will need to pick up some of the slack in game five.

Golden State’s success has been due to its star point guard Stephen Curry and its star forward Kevin Durant. Both players are former MVP award winners and have proven that they are still elite in today’s NBA. This season, Curry averaged 26.4 points per game along with 6.1 assists per game. Curry’s statistics are even more impressive once one factor in his efficiency from the floor. Curry was shooting an absurd 49.5% from the field and 42.3% from the three-point line. However, Curry has struggled a bit in this series with his consistency and is only shooting 34.2% from three point range against Houston. Look for Curry to be more attack the rim more tonight if his three point shooting continues to struggle.

Leading the Warriors now is fellow superstar Kevin Durant. This season, Durant averaged 26.4 points per game along with 6.8 rebounds per game. Similarly to Curry, Durant was also extremely efficient from the floor. He was shooting 51.6% from the field and 41.9% from behind the arc. Unlike Curry, Durant has been unguardable this series and will likely look to keep it going in game five. In this series, Durant has averaged 31.8 points per game while shooting 48.9% from the floor. Expect Durant to put up points in bunches tonight in a must-win game for the Warriors.

As for my prediction, I have to side with the Warriors. The Warriors are clearly the better team and should be able to overpower the Rockets regardless of who the home team is. The Warriors have already beaten the Rockets in Houston this series and will now have Andre Iguodala back in the starting lineup after he missed game four. Expect this game to be competitive throughout but I think Golden State does just enough to squeeze out a victory.

Anastasia Yankova is one of the rising stars in Bellator MMA’s flyweight division. Blanche Ely High School in Pompano Beach, Florida on lockdown after report of an armed person on campus. The Broward County Sheriff’s Office is telling reporter and parents on campus that no shots have been fired. The suspect is now reportedly in custody. The lockdown in Pompano Beach comes just six days after the deadly shooting at Santa Fe High School in Texas that left 10 people dead and 13 people injured.

Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the school just before 1:30 p.m., Thursday. SWAT team was also spotted on the campus. No other information was made immediately available.

The lockdown at Blanche Ely High School is just the latest in a string of lockdowns, bomb threats, and shootings that have plagued the United States. Lockdowns have become all too common as a means of protection when students and faculty are in danger and today is no different.

This incident follows similar incidents at Dodd Middle School in Connecticut, Windham Public Schools also in Connecticut, Pacoima Middle School in Los Angeles, Millennium Middle School in Florida, and US Grant High School in Oklahoma, which are just some of the places where events such as this have occurred.

Early Life

Zidane was born to Algerian immigrants in Marseille, France in 1972. He learned to play in the streets around Marseille and was discovered by his first club, AS Cannes and a French Football Federation training camp when he was 14 years old. He played for their youth club for three years before making his professional debut with the big club at 17. He was transferred to the Bordeaux club in 1992, where he started to build his reputation as one of the best players in the world.

1996-2006

In 1996, Zidane was transferred to one of the most prestigious clubs in Italy, Juventus. During his time as a member of Juventus, Zidane also lead the French National team to international prowess. It started with a World Cup victory over Brazil 3-0 in 1998, and continued with a 2-1 win over Italy, giving France the European Championship. In 2001, Zidane was again transferred to Real Madrid in Spain. Madrid went on to win the UEFA Champions League during Zidane’s first season, and La Liga in the next.

2006-Present

Zidane had announced his plans to retire after the World Cup in 2006 and led his team all the way to the final against Italy. During extra time, Zidane lost his cool and headbutted Italian Marco Materazzi, and caused him to get ejected. France went on to lose in penalty kicks. Zidane has since been named a U.N Goodwill Ambassador, along with former Brazilian superstar Ronaldo. The two host a friendly match for charity every year. Zidane was also a crucial part in Qatar winning the 2022 World Cup bid. Zidane took up a role as Real Madrid’s sporting director in 2011, before beginning to coach the team’s youth club in 2012. He was ultimately promoted to being the full-time manager in 2015.

Lauren Mayberry is a Scottish singer, songwriter, writer, journalist, and social activist. She is best known as the frontwoman of the Scottish synth-pop group CHVRCHES. She also plays drums and keyboard.

Mayberry was born on October 7th, 1987, in Glasgow, Scotland. She’s been involved with music from a very young age, having played the piano since she was a child and learning the drums when she was a teenager. She went on to complete a four-year degree in journalism at the University of Strathclyde. After graduating, she began working as a freelance journalist and production runner.

Before joining CHVRCHES, Mayberry was in two different local bands, Boyfriend/Girlfriend, and Blue Sky Archives. While with Blue Sky Archives, Mayberry covered Rage Against the Machine’s “Killing In The Name” which was released as a single.

Mayberry collaborated on a few tracks with future CHVRCHES bandmate Iain Cook while a part of Blue Sky Archives. Cook told her about a project he was working on with friend Martin Doherty and asked Mayberry to sing on some of the songs. This project would turn into CHVRCHES and the rest is history.

CHVRCHES has released three albums since their formation, The Bones Of What Your Believe, Every Open Eye, and Love Is Dead. Mayberry eventually moved from Scotland to the United States and currently resides in Brooklyn. As of 2016, she had begun dating actor Justin Long.

In addition to being an accomplished musician, Mayberry is also a social advocate and ardent feminist. She formed TCI, a feminist collective in Glasgow and is still very vocal in her defensive of feminist beliefs.

Look for Mayberry and CHVRCHES to keep blowing up the airwaves because things are only looking up for them.

There are plenty of variables to consider for the UEFA Champions League Final 2018, especially considering it was a surprise in itself to find Real Madrid and Liverpool as the last two teams standing. The cheap drinks, the shitty bathrooms, the bouncers who let people in the back door, the random hook-ups, the fights, the outrageously attractive bartenders, the 2 a.m. hail marys — all the things that make the college experience memorable likely happen

This week we feature Penn State’s favorite watering hole, Primanti Brothers, an establishment at the State College-based school since 1933. Open early on game days and late on every other night of the week, Primanti Brothers (or simply “PMan’s” to Penn State students) is the university’s premier bar. The drink specials are the best deals on campus, bar none (see what I did there?): Happy Hour is every night of the week from 10 to 12 p.m., serving $2 mind erasers and $4 double drinks.

But while “PMan’s” may be State College’s favorite bar, that’s not what the establishment is mainly known for, as Primanti Brothers is actually is a Pennsylvania-wide chain that is known for slinging sandwichs more than anything else.

Today the NBA released it’s three All-NBA teams for the 2018 season. The selections were highlighted by two unanimous choices in Lebron James and James Harden on the first team. Joining James and Harden on that first team are Anthony Davis, Damian Lillard, and Kevin Durant. It is a record 12th first-team selection for Lebron who has made an all-NBA team 14 times. It is also Hardens 4th, Davis’s 3rd, Durant’s 6th and Lillard’s 1st appearance on the first-team.

The two unanimous choices could very well be 1 and 2 in MVP voting. Harden is widely expected to win that award, after leading the Rockets to a franchise record 65 wins and averaging 30.4 points, 8.8 assists and 5.4 rebounds all while co-running the offense with Chris Paul. LeBron also had a typically impressive season, averaging 27.5 points, 8.6 rebounds and 9.1 assists on a 51 win Cleveland Cavalier team.

The second team consists of Giannis Antetokoumpo, Russell Westbrook, Joel Embiid, LaMarcus Aldridge and DeMar DeRozan, all players who made the playoffs but have since been eliminated. Some may be surprised that Giannis missed out on the first team after averaging 27 points, 10 rebounds, and 4.8 assists. Lack of wins probably held him back.

The third team boasts Stephen Curry, Victor Oladipo, Karl-Anthony Towns, Jimmy Butler and Paul George. Both Towns and George have been featured in varying off-season rumors, and it is possible that the two third-teamers will be playing for new teams come Fall 2018.

The list of those who received votes but didn’t receive enough to qualify for one of the teams speaks to the immense quality of the league right now. Players like Chris Paul, Rudy Gobert, Kyrie Irving, Ben Simmons, Al Horford, Donovan Mitchell and Nikola Jokic all received votes. In many past seasons, those guys would all have had seasons good enough to make at least the third team, possibly even the second team.

NBA Activism: The League’s Landmark Season & Looking Ahead

Gina Mazany is a 29-year-old competitor in the women’s bantamweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship with hopes of climbing up the promotion’s 135-pound division. Through two UFC bouts, Mazany has split her record at 1-1. Her first bout was unsuccessful go at former title contender Sara McMann, before bouncing back late in 2017 to score a win over Yanan We.

For Mazany, the opportunity to join the UFC has allowed her to take her training full-time for one of the most successful training camps of her career.

“ I have been working since I was 16 and this is the first time I have ever been able to train full-time.  I worked at a gym, sold snow machines in Alaska, when I was in Seattle I bartended on my way through college, and got a badass job at a gaming company, designing for them.  A year and a half ago I decided cagefighting was a smarter idea (I’m being sarcastic) and I packed up my Ford Focus with my dog and cat and moved to Vegas,” she said in her official UFC profile.

“Before I got this call, I was bartending at a local pub in Vegas.”

Now that she is able to work a full-time training camp, Mazany is excited to see what’s next.

“”[I] get up in the morning, go for a few mile run, head to the gym, drill whatever we are working on, go live for a bit and then drill again,” she noted. “When I’m not in season, I love to add lifting to my day.”

Mazany, whose brother fights for EFC in South Africa, is a seven-year blue belt. She began training at 18 years old and also has experience as an amateur boxer.

Next up for Mazany is a bout against Lina Lansberg at UFC Fight Night 130 bright and early Saturday, May 26. The event will be headlined by a welterweight fight between Stephen Thompson and Darren Till.

Larissa Pereira Firmino is the stunning wife of Liverpool FC and Brazil National Team forward Roberto Firmino. Larissa Pereira, a 25-year-old Brazilian Instagram model and influencer, has almost 200,000 followers on Instagram. Larissa and Roberto have been dating since 2014 and have two daughters together, Valentina and Bella. The couple got married in June 2017.

Roberto, the 26-year-old Brazilian national, began his career with Figueirense in 2009 before spending four-and-a-half seasons at Hoffenheim in Germany.
