Josh Rosen’s girlfriend, Zana Muno, could give him a run for his money when it comes to athletic accomplishments. Muno is a junior libero for the UCLA women’s volleyball team. She rivals Rosen in the classroom, too, earning a Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention. Zuno was a three-sport athlete before coming to UCLA, starring in volleyball, soccer, and track and field at Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California.

Recently, in a rather bizarre story, it seemed like a question regarding Muno led to an NFL executive being turned off to the idea of selecting Rosen in the 2018 NFL Draft. Ultimately, the former Bruins star was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals with the No. 10 overall pick.

Towson University police are investigating a possible hate crime after two members of a Jewish fraternity were allegedly attacked by two unidentified suspects on Sunday, April 29.

According to reports, the two victims are members of the Alpha Epsilon Pi and claim the suspects started following them and shouted “F**k the Jews” and other ethnic slurs. Furthermore, one of the victims says he was punched in the face and believes the assault was due to his religious beliefs. A spokesman for Towson University said that both the suspects and the victims are students.

The university says that if the suspects are found responsible they could face sanctions “up to and including suspension or expulsion.”

According to the police report, both suspects appeared to be intoxicated, and their identities have been concealed because they have not yet been charged. The victims haven’t pressed charges against the assailants as of Monday. A spokesman for the university confirmed that the assailants and victims are Towson students.

“The incident has been referred to the Office of Student Conduct and the Office of Inclusion and Institutional Equity to launch a full investigation on the basis that the incident was reported as both assault as well as hate-bias,” Sean Welsh said in an emailed statement. “All reports are taken seriously and thoroughly investigated.”

As of Monday, April 30, the victims had not pressed charges against the assailants. Police spokeswoman Officer Jennifer Peach said that because the incident was a second-degree assault, the assailants cannot be prosecuted unless victims choose to do so.

The Baltimore Sun reports that a 2016 campus security report found that hate crimes at Towson University are rare, with only three bias-related incidents being reported on campus between 2014 and 2016 — two assaults related to race and one vandalism incident related to religion.

Now that Avengers: Infinity War has finally been released, I think it’s safe to say that we’re all feeling a bit emotional. Don’t worry, there won’t be any spoilers for that movie here but let’s just say that you should be prepared for that ending.

Lucky for us, the next film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is a bit more lighthearted and is here to boost our spirits. Ant-Man And The Wasp released its second trailer on May 1st, and it looks to be the same sort of fun, superhero adventure that the first Ant-Man movie was. Ant-Man proved to be a nice twist on the superhero genre, serving more as a heist type film rather than a traditional “supervillain wants to destroy the world” type trope that these types of movies have become known for.

Starring Paul Rudd as Scott Lang aka Ant-Man, Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne aka The Wasp, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet Van Dyne, and Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, the plot of Ant-Man & The Wasp is as follows:

Set between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, Scott Lang, now under house arrest after the events of Civil War,  tries to balance his home life as a father with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, when Hope van Dyne and Hank Pym present him with a new mission to bring to light secrets from their past, teaming up with Van Dyne as the new Wasp.

Following the release of Infinity War it remains to be seen how Ant-Man and The Wasp will fit into the Universe, but seeing that it is set before Infinity War’s events, don’t be surprised if it ends just as Infinity War begins.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship will be making its debut in Utica, New York on June 1, 2018 for UFC Fight Night 131: Rivera vs. Moraes at Adirondack Bank Center. The event will be headlined by a bantamweight clash between top contenders Jimmie Rivera and Marlon Moraes. In the co-main event, lightweights Gregor Gillespie and Vinc Pichel will go head-to-head.

Bryan Barberena was initially slated to be on the card, but he was forced to withdraw due to an injury. Ben Saunders stepped up to replace Barberena and will now face Jake Ellenberger on the main card which airs on FOX Sports 1.

Newton High School in Covington, Georgia is on lockdown after threats were called into the school. Newton County Sheriff’s Office securing the school and investigating. Parents have been alerted.

The Newton High School lockdown is just the latest in a string of threats, lockdowns and shootings that have plagued the United States. Over the course of the past few years, shootings such as these have been a scourge upon the country and people have struggled with coming up with a solution. Lockdowns have become all too common as a means of protection when students and faculty are in danger and today is no different.

This lockdown follows incidents at Dodd Middle School in Connecticut, Windham Public Schools also in Connecticut, Pacoima Middle School in Los Angeles, Millennium Middle School in Florida, and US Grant High School in Oklahoma, which are just some of the places where events such as this have occurred.

Newton High School is a four-year comprehensive public high school serving students in ninth through twelfth grades in Covington, Georgia, United States. It is part of the Newton County School System.

The date was May 1, 2011. A day that will live on in American lore.

It had been five months since the new year had arrived, and just a month into the baseball season for the New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies. That memorable evening, the clubs were set to meet on ESPN Sunday Night Baseball for the rubber game of their three-game series. During the game though, a significant event in the history of the United States was unfolding. Not too long after people in Citizens Bank Park got word of what had happened, the Mets and Phillies game took a backseat to the entire country rejoicing over the conclusion of the ten-year manhunt and the death of the terrorist, Osama Bin Laden.

Even though it was ten years later, the pain and heartbreak of September 11, 2001, still sat in the hearts of Americans. That day rocked the core of the fabric of the United States, and everything each American holds near and dear. After 9/11, there was no other option but for the U.S. to go to war to stop the man responsible for the attacks, Osama Bin Laden. And his group, known as Al Qaeda.

The U.S. military would end up fighting the war on terrorism (some believe it still continues to go on to this day) until the end of the decade, making huge strides over that time in Al Qaeda run territories — Afghanistan and Iraq.

But, even as the United States continued to end the war on terrorism, one objective still remained: Finding Osama Bin Laden and making him pay for his sins and all the heartache he brought the country that fateful day in 2001. The U.S. had come close several years in the past to finding Bin Laden, but could never seal the deal (pardon the pun). While that fateful May day shifted to the evening, the Mets and Phillies took to the field as the last sporting event scheduled that day. 7,000 miles away, DEVGRU, also known as SEAL Team 6, in Blackhawk helicopters ascended upon Bin Laden’s Pakistan compound under to carry out Operation Neptune Spear.

A short time after entering the compound, the SEALs confronted Bin Laden on the third floor and shot him twice. SEAL Rob O’Neill delivered the kill shot and, the shot to be heard around the United States.

News began to leak that Bin Laden was dead, and it spread like wildfire around the ballpark in the top of the ninth inning. Fans were refreshing their phones to see if what had thought to be impossible, had finally become a reality. Then, thunderous chants of “USA” rained down from the crowd.

At 11:35 P.M. Eastern Time, President Barack Obama addressed the country to confirm that in fact, Osama Bin Laden had been killed.

The Mets and Phillies would go into extra innings that night, with the Mets coming away from victorious 2-1.  But all anyone could remember was on that evening, was America and its citizens had finally won. The country could finally be at peace, knowing that the war on terrorism had officially come to an end.

Today marks the seven-year anniversary of that bone-chilling night. But it feels like just yesterday, that myself and many others around the USA were watching a baseball game between two teams that turned in to an unforgettable event in this country’s fabled history. Even the players on the field soon realized they were a part of something special going on, as described in the video below.

Seven years later, the world and the United States are a different place. But ask any American about that moment, and they’ll tell you where they were, what they were doing, who they were with, and their reaction to what was a landmark moment in the 242-year history of this land. That’s how much May 1, 2011 means to Americans.

Just for a moment, baseball became secondary, and Patriotism became the rallying cry.

Murray State University Police say they are investigating a death at a fraternity house, however, they do not suspect foul play. According to Murray State University President Bob Davies, on Sunday morning he learned “that a friend of one of our students who was visiting him in Murray passed away.”

According to reports, while police did not give much information about the deceased, Murray State University confirmed that the person who died was not a student. At this time, Murray City Police are investigating the cause of death and have yet to provide the name of the person. Madisonville Medical Examiner Christopher Kiefer performed an autopsy on Monday, April 30.

Murray Police Sgt. Brant Shutt said the ongoing investigation is being classified as “non-criminal”. Furthermore, University President Davies said university counseling services will be available for students who need them.

Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority chapter at the Fort Valley State University is currently being investigated for sexual misconduct after being accused of running a sex ring and pimping out its pledges. More specifically, Alecia Johnson, who was an executive assistant at the university and sorority advisor, is under investigation for allegedly pimping out the pledges.

According to reports, the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority would pimp out it’s “pledges” so they could pay for their sorority fees. The alleged clientele includes local politician and businessmen. Johnson is a member of the organization and served as a graduate advisor for the campus’s Alpha Beta chapter. Johnson resigned from her position when the criminal investigation started. While she has not been arrested or charged, she was identified as a person of interest in the ongoing state criminal investigation.

A report from Rolling Out, citing The Telegraph in Macon, Georgia, the newest members of Alpha Beta who were initiated this past Spring were involved in a sex ring so they could allegedly pay to “pledge” the Black Greek sorority.

The Telegraph in Macon, Georgia, reports the school’s marketing and communications department confirmed the investigation in an emailed statement Monday, April 16 and said the school recently notified the University System of Georgia about a situation. At the end of last week, the Office of the Attorney General and the system’s Board of Regents requested that the GBI open up a criminal investigation, GBI Agent J.T. Ricketson said.

“Right now, it’s all allegation. Nothing has been substantiated by us. We’ve made no arrests,” Ricketson said. “We don’t do administrative inquiries. We are criminal investigators.”

The “matter” and “situation” involves allegations of employee misconduct and hazing linked to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, and according to several unnamed sources, prostitution. The newest members of Alpha Beta who were initiated this past Spring were involved in a sex ring so they could allegedly pay to “pledge” the oldest Black Greek sorority, which was founded in 1908 on the campus of Howard University. The customers are allegedly local politicians and businessmen.

The national sorority organization issued a statement saying it was “appalled to learn of allegations of sexual misconduct against a Fort Valley State University employee who also is a graduate member of the sorority.” However, Adrian Patrick, an attorney for Johnson, says his client is “not a pimp, and she’s not a madam — none of that. She’s not guilty. She did not do anything.”

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority released a full statement on the matter, saying:

“These allegations are in no way representative of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority’s 110-year service-based mission or its nearly 300,000 members. We condemn these allegations in the strongest possible terms. We remain dedicated to our mission to encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, promote unity, alleviate problems concerning girls and women, create opportunities for them to pursue higher education and be of service to millions of people around the world annually.”

Alpha Kappa Alpha is a traditionally African American sorority which was founded in 1908 at Howard University.

1. The Quantum Realm

Know where a really great place to stick Thanos would be — the quantum realm! If Avengers: Infinity War taught us anything, the Mad Titan is no ordinary villain and certainly cannot be killed so easily. If you can’t kill your enemy, why not toss his ass into an abyss trapped for all eternity? He technically wouldn’t be dead so that gives Marvel the power to bring him back if they happen to make an evil-Avengers one day.

Also, from what we know about the quantum realm, it’s nearly impossible for the human mind to comprehend the experience. We do know that in Ant-Man and the Wasp they make a trip there, potentially finding Hope’s mother, Janet Van Dyne. Based on her LOOOONG time spent in the quantum realm, Janet may have invaluable insight about how to control the realm, considering it’s been decades and she managed to stay alive.

2. Rogue Pym Tech

We get a glimpse of the villain Ghost in the new trailer who seems to have stolen some Pym tech that has her phase shift in an extremely unstable fashion. Perhaps this is an outdated version she managed to get her hands on, or maybe just a project that was deemed too dangerous to continue working on by Pym. However, if they manage to stabilize the phase shift process and regulate the technology, this could be a huge game changer when it comes to locating all those who “got erased” by the infinity gauntlet in Avengers: Infinity War.

We’re all wondering what realm our fallen heroes now exist on, even if that means the afterlife. The ability to control matter and shift through dimensions would not only give our fallen a life-line but potentially a means of bringing them back. *fingers crossed*

3. Size Matters

The embiggening technology we first saw in Civil War is clearly making a pretty huge (har har) impact in this film. For a guy who we last heard was on house-arrest, he certainly isn’t laying low. While the shrinking and growing can easily be played for laughs, I get the feeling after the events of Civil War Scott Lang realizes there’s much more at stake now for people who have abilities. This allows the film to have a sense of maturity despite the apparent humor.

We know Hank Pym has something so valuable he’s hidden it away in a portable office he can scale at will. Could this technology be the answer as to how to control the quantum realm and phase shifting? Doctor Pym is a pretty secretive guy so in the first trailer we saw him shrinking down this building and carrying it away like a travel suitcase. Now, in the official trailer, we see his secret building being scaled back up… which looks like it’s over a river… so maybe it’s being hijacked or someone just didn’t take into account how big it would actually get.

Whatever it is that needs to be under lock and key must be immensely powerful and if harnessed correctly, could prove to be an invaluable tool when Scott and Hope are needed to save the Avengers.

4. It Takes Two

The main song playing in the trailer is “It Takes Two” by Rob Base & DJ EZ Rock. While the value of teamwork has always been a theme in Marvel films, this is a pretty in-your-face way of telling us, the audience, that neither Ant-Man or Wasp can succeed without the other. Why does that sense of unity sound so familiar? Oh yeah, it’s what got (almost) everyone killed last week in Infinity War!

If the micro/macro duo can manage to work together on a molecular level, maybe there’s hope (lol Hope) they become one hell of a force to be reckoned with when it’s time to rescue the fallen Avengers. The opening mention in the first trailer of Scott asking Hope if she’d have joined him when Captain America asked for help in Civil War shows that these two aren’t just here to test the waters, they’re here to make a difference.

5. Project Goliath

Welcome to the MCU Laurence Fishburne! The trailer ends with Hank introducing Scott and Hope to his former colleague, Bill Foster, a man who previously harnessed the “Giant-Man” embiggening technology. It seems based on their baseball caps, shades, and black attire, they go to Foster for help once they’re on the lamb. What could Foster possibly have that they need… hmm.. maybe Hank Pym wasn’t the only one stashing away secrets at the lab!

In 2018, Wolf reached an entirely new level of recognition when she performed at the 2018 White House Correspondents Dinner, roasting Trump and all of his scummy constituents.

There’s a lot to cover on the go home episode of SmackDown Live before Backlash on Sunday, May 6th. SmackDown goes into the PPV with arguably the heavier load on the card. The WWE Championship will be defended but Raw’s flagship title, The Universal Championship, will be absent from the line-up. It also has it’s Women’s Title up for grabs and Daniel Bryan’s first singles PPV match since his return. But what does SmackDown have in store for us this week?

Big Cass has made it abundantly clear the last few weeks that he is not a fan of all the attention that Daniel Bryan has been receiving. He used last weeks Miz TV as an outlet to let the world know why he despises the leader of The Yes Movement so much. It was an interesting choice seeing as the WWE Universe are desperately waiting for Bryan to get his hands on The Miz himself, but after the segment, it’s clear that Bryan will have to go through the 7-foot tall Big Cass to get there first. Cass and Bryan got to face off for a second at The Greatest Royal Rumble but there’s only so much closure you can get on a feud when 48 other men are involved in the match. Now the two men will have one more chance to meet face to face before their singles match on Sunday.

Charlotte Flair has her sights set on getting her SmackDown Women’s Championship back from Carmella. She made quite a statement at their match contract signing, introducing The Princess of Staten Island and her neatly made up face to the table they were signing the contract on. Carmella has a lot to prove at Backlash when she goes up against arguably the best in-ring performer in the Women’s Division. Charlotte will have to keep one eye on The IIconics because the Australian duo seems hell-bent on making her life miserable. Will the four women come to blows one more time before Backlash tonight?

On Sunday at Backlash we get AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura for the third time. SmackDown has been a litany of low blows against The Phenomenal One. Were any of us really shocked to see him totally disregard the rules of his Championship match at The Greatest Royal Rumble to just lay down punishment against Nakamura? If someone made it their past time punching you below the belt, you’d want to beat the heck out of them too right? Now Nakamura wants a public apology from Styles on this week’s SmackDown? Will Nakamura get one last low blow in, or will Styles be able to keep the King of Strong Style, and his own emotions in check?
