20th Century Fox/Deadpool 2

After scoring some impressive results in test screenings, Deadpool 2 underwent additional shooting to cater even more towards what audiences enjoyed. This seems to have included the unexpected and top-secret cameo of an additional character. No information about the cameo has been given, but given what we know of the film and X-Men franchise there are plenty of popular option to choose from. The top 5 most likely, or at least most desired, are rounded up here for your enjoyment.

Jackman’s Wolverine/Hugh Jackman as Himself

20th Century Fox/Hugh Jackman as Wolverine in X-Men 3 (2006)

Hugh Jackman’s appearance in some form is probably the most obvious and fan-desired choice. Aside from the clawed mutants popularity, the two characters have always been closely connected; in the comics, Deadpool’s powers stem from attempts to graft Wolverine’s healing factor onto a non-mutant host in an attempt by Weapon X to recreate their escaped lethal asset. Deadpool’s (much maligned) cinematic debut was even in the first solo Wolverine movie.

Due to the meta nature of the Deadpool franchise, coupled with Jackman’s repeated statements that he’s retired from playing Wolverine in the Fox Studio movies, there could easily still be a cameo by the actor as himself. The singing, dancing, Australian family-man is almost comically different from the feral mutant he has portrayed over the years; there is a lot of potential for some hilarious fouth-wall breaking should the actor and Deadpool meet in the movie.

Cyclops and Jean Grey

While the two heroes are the biological parents of Cable in the comics, it would be hard to blame Deadpool 2 for shying away from the militaristic mutants complicated backstory (it would hardly be the first time a comic book movie drastically simplified things). The fact that the initial teaser trailer displayed a shot of graffiti with Cable’s birth name (Nathan Summers) could signify that the movie will acknowledge the character’s background and family to some extent, even up to portraying them in some fashion.

A cameo appearance of Cable’s parents could take the form of a flashback of when they sent their child into the future for the sake of his life and their world’s existence, or perhaps as a touching scene of a reuniting family towards the end of the film. In either or any case Cyclops and Jean would likely be portrayed by James Marsden and Famke Janssen rather than the younger actors Sophie Turner and Tye Sheridan

Kitty Pryde

20th Century Fox/Kitty Pryde in X-Men 3 (2006))

Yet another character from the original X-Men movie franchise, Kitty Pryde is a popular possibility. The character (most notably portrayed by actress Ellen Page) is famous for being the first young student to attend Xavier’s school after the original class and team and has grown up to be a powerful mutant and X-Men team leader.

Kitty is also a primary love interest of the Russian mutant Colossus. As the two characters are currently engaged and swiftly heading towards a major wedding event in the comics, and a Kitty Pryde solo movie is currently in talks, we could catch at least a glimpse of the phasing mutant in the film. Whether she’d be portrayed once again by Page or another actress is open to debate.

Rictor

20th Century Fox/Young Rictor in Logan (2017)

Julio Richter is yet another popular love interest of a Deadpool 2 character that many are hoping to see in some capacity. Aside from being an original member of X-Force in the comics, the terrakinetic mutant is the boyfriend of interdimensional warrior Shatterstar.  Having Rictor be at least brought up by Shatterstar (Lewis Tan) is something plenty of fans are hoping for; it would also be a rare moment of acknowledgment of LGBT superheroes in a major Marvel movie.

Rictor has already appeared in 2017 Wolverine film Logan, where the mutant (portrayed by The Get Down’s Jason Genao  ) was the leader of a band of young, genetically engineered mutants from Mexico to safety in Canada. While this objectively presents an issue regarding his ability to appear in Deadpool 2 as Logan’s Rictor is a teenager in a dystopian future years after the events of the upcoming movie, time-travel (along with the notoriously discombobulated X-Men movie timeline) and casting a new adult actor can easily make it a non-issue.

Laura

20th Century Fox/Laura in Logan (2017)

Also debuting in Logan, the young clone of Wolverine is yet another character whose appearance could be facilitated by time-travel. Portrayed by Dafne Keen, Laura completely stole the show from her ‘father’ in Logan and left audiences begging for more. A screenplay for a sequel starring the little mutant was even started by James Mangold, but the Fox-Disney deal has apparently put that particular project in jeopardy of completion.

Laura’s appearance in the movie, whether portrayed by Keen or an older actress, would help fill the void of future cinematic appearances as well as the one left by her progenitor. If it went over particularly well it could even lead to more appearances and perhaps the greenlighting of Mangold’s film. And of course, Deadpool 2’s R-rating would no doubt give us some exciting and explicit scenes of the lethal mutant wreaking havok amongst X-Force’s foes.

Any details about the subject of the secret cameo are extremely unlikely to appear before the film comes out May 18, 2018. Until then we will just have to content ourselves with speculations as we wait to see who was right.

Heineken

Chance the Rapper is one of many people on social media calling a new commercial from Heineken racist. In the new commercial for the Dutch beer, a bottle of their “light” beer can be seen sliding past a couple of African Americans before landing in the hands of a white woman. The phrase “Sometimes, lighter is better” then appears in the ad. Chance, the Grammy Award-winning rapper, took to Twitter to call the advertisement “terribly racist.”

“I think some companies are purposely putting out noticably racist ads so they can get more views. And that shit racist/bogus so I guess I shouldn’t help by posting about it. But I gotta just say tho. The “sometimes lighter is better” Hienekin commercial is terribly racist omg.”

“Im not saying boucott them or go off im just noticing how often it happens and I think they baiting consumers and tweeters and freelancers and shit. Like I didnt wanna tweet about it so bad but its like how can u not.”

Many people replied to Chance’s tweet saying they also believed the ad to be racist. Heineken released a statement to Newsweek on Monday morning, saying they “missed the mark” with the ad.

For a lot of people, baseball lacks a certain pizzazz. It’s not as fast as hockey, there’s not as much scoring as basketball, and there are a few less explosive collisions than football. People don’t like that. Not their cup of tea per se. No matter how much they’d like to invest themselves in a 162-game season, they just can’t muster up the energy. There is a solution to MLB impotence though.

Nothing gets the blood flowing and pistons firing more than placing a bet. When you bet on sports, you become a (pseudo) expert. It may or may not help you with actually betting, but at the very least, you pay attention more. A game could go 3.5 hours and end with a score of 2-1, but you have a valid reason to sit through it. I’m not here to promote excessive sports gambling – I will say, however, placing a couple preseason World Series bets is pretty harmless and effective. It gives you jussst enough incentive to stay in the loop over the next six months, and by the end, you learn more about the game your grandfather loved (and thus, yourself?). Touching.

The MLB is one of the least predictable sports of the major four, which always benefits the preseason better. The early World Series odds are always essentially a regurgitation of the playoff bracket from the year before. This year, the two pennant winners, Astros and Dodgers, are the favorites with 11/2 odds.

In an unpredictable league, it obviously never makes sense to go with the top guns. Pick a few bottom dwellers with great payouts, and then one or two teams that make consistent playoff appearances but are not a top 5 favorite. This year my outside shot is Rangers at 200/1, my safety is Brewers 30/1, and my conservative bet is the Red Sox 10/1. Sure, 10/1 odds aren’t great but they’re not terrible for a team who’s a guaranteed contender. Only eight teams make the playoffs, and Boston is already looking like they’re positioned for another serious run with new skipper, Alex Cora.

The wild, exciting, downright unpredictable 2018 NCAA tournament has shed dead weight and dwindled down to its Final Four teams. Through all the upsets and pure insanity, this year’s tournament has left us with one team from the Big Ten, one from the Big East, one from the Big 12, and the Cinderella from the Missouri Valley Conference. Let’s break down each team and how they got to San Antonio, Texas for a chance to cut the net and call themselves champions.

South Region Champion 11 seed Loyola-Chicago

The Ramblers from Chicago, Illinois have captivated the hearts of college basketball fans everywhere and carry the torch for the mid-major schools. This school has brought about the rise of Sister Jean and have become this year’s darling of the big dance.

As you can see from those close scores, this is a mental tough battle-tested team. Loyola-Chicago is led by quick, crafty guards Ben Richardson and Clayton Custer, both of whom won a high school state championship together at Blue Valley Northwest High School (Overland Park, KS). The Ramblers have not shown many weaknesses throughout the tournament and throughout the entire season for that matter. For fans that pay particularly close attention to college basketball, they should not be shocked by the success of Loyola-Chicago. They beat SEC power Florida early in the year and have only lost twice since the start of the new year.

West Region Champion 3 seed Michigan

The Wolverines from Michigan have seen and done it all this tournament: took care of business against a mid-major school, sunk a dramatic buzz-beater, shot lights-out against the most athletic team in the tournament, and got scrappy with an overachieving ACC team. Michigan is back in the Final Four just five years after losing to Louisville in the 2013 championship game and this time around are hoping for a winning outcome.

John Beilein has been one of the most successful coaches in college basketball over the last ten years, the only thing missing on his resume is a national championship. This year’s Wolverines have turned it on down the stretch and are currently on a 13-game winning streak. They are the best defensive team of the remaining four and have used streaky shooting performances to propel them. If this team gets hot from the field, there is no stopping them.

East Region Champion 1 seed Villanova

The Villanova Wildcats are the most complete and consistent team in the Final Four. Jay Wright has led his team back to the Final Four just two years after claiming his first national championship. This years team has a chance to hang its own championship banner up right next to the 2016 championship banner.

Star players Jalen Brunson and Mikal Bridges lead the Wildcats, but the talent does not drop off there. This is a deep, smart, well-rounded team who does not beat themselves. Villanova has six players who average double figures and three who are shooting over 40% from behind the three-point line. Also, Villanova is an extremely efficient free throw shooting team with four players shooting over 80% from the charity stripe. If you are a betting man, this team is the safest pick of the Final Four, but as we all know college basketball has a way of not going how it should.

Midwest Region Champion 1 seed Kansas

Bill Self is on the verge of his second national championship in 15 years at the helm of the Kansas Jayhawks basketball program. Under his tutelage, Kansas basketball has won 14 straight Big 12 regular season championships and have been to three Final Fours. The Jayhawks last won a national championship in 2008.

Their path to the Final Four:

Round of 32: beat 8 seed Seton Hall 83-79
Sweet 16: beat 5 seed Clemson 80-76
Elite 8: beat 2 seed Duke 85-81

The Kansas Jayhawks have had the toughest run to the Final Four, beating two powerhouses from the ACC in Clemson and Duke. They needed overtime to take down the Blue Devils and have been tested in all four games so far. They boast an NBA caliber backcourt in Devonte’ Graham, Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk, and Malik Newman. The team is then anchored by 7 footer Udoka Azubuike. The Jayhawks will need to avoid foul trouble if they want to claim the championship, Azubuike has fouled out in two of the 4 games in this tournament.

Tragedy recently struck when NBA G Leauge player Zeke Upshaw of the Grand Rapids Drive passed away just days after collapsing on the court while in a game against the Long Island Nets. He was 26 years old at the time of his death.

What happened?

Upshaw fell to the ground with about 50 seconds left in Saturday night’s game against the Long Island Nets; at the time, he needed to be taken off of the court on a stretcher.

According to Sports Illustrated, Upshaw’s mother issued the following statement, according to The Drive, highlighting that the family is asking for privacy at this time:

“After continued efforts from the medical team at Spectrum Health, Zeke made his transition at 11:16 a.m. To family, friends, teammates, coaches, fans and confidants, thank you for all your prayers and support during this most difficult time. We ask that you respect our privacy at this time.”

“Details of his memorial will be announced at a later date. We’d like to thank the many doctors and nurses at Spectrum Health for their efforts in caring for our son. We’d also like to thank the Grand Rapids Drive for the support they have extended to our family.”

At this time, an official cause of death has not been released. His official date of death was given as two days after the collapse, on March 26, 2018.

Who was Zeke Upshaw?

A native of Chicago, Upshaw played three seasons at Illinois State, with one season at Hofstra for his final season of NCAA eligibility. If life, he was a graduate of Illinois State, earning a degree in apparel, merchandising and design back in 2013.

Something of an international player, he played with teams in Slovenia and Luxembourg, before being drafted by the Grand Rapids Drive in 2016.

Tallulah Willis, 24, is the youngest daughter of action movie actor Bruce Willis and former actress and G.I. Jane star Demi Moore. Born on February 3, 1994, in sunny Los Angeles, California, to parents Bruce and Demi, Tallulah has three acting credit to her name, including appearing in The Whole Ten Yards with her father Bruce Willis. However, outside of these minor acting roles as a child, Willis has not pursued her an acting career of her own despite the head start her parent’s history in the profession may have provided her with.

Tallulah Willis has two older sisters: Rumer, 29, and Scout, 26. Both Rumer and Scout Willis are also the daughters of Willis and Moore.

In the past, both Tallulah, Rumer, and Scout have all suffered from substance abuse issues. In an Instagram post, Willis once wrote:

However the internal cries to tend my most blistered and deep wounds repeatedly fell on deaf ears. Bailey Davis is a former cheerleader for the New Orleans Saints who is currently suing the organization for workplace discrimination. Davis worked for the organization for three seasons before being fired for breaking team rules about fraternization and social media usage — rules which, according to Bailey, place an unfair onus on the organization’s female employees.

Who Is Bailey Davis?

Davis, 22, is a former New Orleans Saints cheerleader and current college student from Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Following her recent firing from the Saintsations cheer squad over accusations that she partied with Saints players and posted a photo of herself in a one-piece swimsuit to her private Instagram, Davis filed a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission alleging that the Saints enforce two separate sets of rules and standards for their players and cheerleaders, a discrepancy which she asserts is equal to gender discrimination. Davis has denied partying with Saints players and claims she set her Instagram to private after a previous discussion with her superiors.

Davis’s complaint further asserts that her firing was the result of policies which force Saints cheerleaders to avoid all contact with players, both online and in-person while making no such requirements and threats of termination towards players. According to the New York Times, Saints cheerleaders have been told that if they enter a restaurant where a Saints player is already eating, they must leave. If a Saints player enters a restaurant that a cheerleader is already at, that cheerleader must still leave.

While past cases involving NFL cheerleaders have led to scrutiny over the difference between team employees and employees of the league itself, with the NFL successfully arguing that the league was not culpable in cheerleader pay disputes, Davis says her complaint was filed as former NFL personnel. The crux of her case will then fall on interpretation of the league’s personal conduct policy, which forbids any forms of unlawful discrimination in employment based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or sexual orientation, “regardless of whether it occurs in the workplace or in other NFL-sponsored settings.”

Davis’s case will not be used to reverse a wrongful firing claim, but instead use to reverse team policies which she feels have been unfairly harsh to cheerleaders.

“At the appropriate time and in the appropriate forum, the Saints will defend the organization’s policies and workplace rules,” Leslie A. Lanusse, a lawyer representing the Saints organization, said in an e-mail to the New York Times. “For now, it is sufficient to say that Ms. Davis was not subject to discrimination because of her gender.”

The NFL has so far declined to comment.

Tim Tebow is a former NFL quarterback and current professional outfielder in the New York Mets organization. He played college football for the University of Florida, winning the Heisman Trophy in 2007 and appearing on BCS National Championship-winning teams during the 2006 and 2008 seasons. Tebow was selected by the Denver Broncos in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft.

Tebow’s run-first style of quarterbacking didn’t successfully translate to the NFL, and in 2016, he announced he would pursue a career in professional baseball. The Mets recently announced they’re going to move him up to Double-A to start the 2018 season. Early Years

Tim Tebow (30) was born in the Philippines and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. He’s the youngest of five children, all of which were homeschooled. In 1996, a law was passed in Florida allowing home-schooled students to compete in high school sports. That gave Tebow the go-ahead in 2003 when he became eligible to play ball at Allen D. Nease High School. During his senior season, he led the Nease Panthers to a state title, earned All-State honors, was named Florida’s Mr. Football, and a high school All-American. Tebow considered a few colleges coming out of high school, but ultimately chose the University of Florida where his parents met as students. He also liked Urban Meyer’s spread option offense, which was ideal for Tebow who is arguably a better runner than he is a passer.

2006-2009

While he spent his freshman year as a backup, he would eventually have plenty of career highlights at Florida. They include winning the Heisman Trophy in 2007, leading the team to a BCS championship in 2008, and a 13–1 season in 2009. The Gators’ coaches selected him as a team captain in 2008 and 2009, and he is the only three-time recipient of the Gators’ most valuable player award, having been chosen by his teammates in 2007, 2008, and 2009.

2010-2015

After passing on the 2009 NFL Draft for his senior season at Florida, Tebow went on to enter the 2010 NFL Draft. Despite his college success, Tebow’s NFL potential was much debated. Some thought he was worthy of a top 10 selection because of his super strength and undeniable athleticism, while others thought he deserves to go in the third round because of his poor mechanics and passing abilities. Tebow was ultimately selected by the Broncos with the 25th overall pick. Tebow had a less than impressive NFL career that took him from the Broncos to the Jets as a back-up, and to training camps with the Patriots and Eagles where he failed to make the team. The greatest game of his NFL career came in 2012 when the Broncos hosted the Steelers in the first round of the playoffs. Tebow threw for a career-high 316 yards and two touchdowns, including an 80-yard touchdown to Demaryius Thomas on the first play of overtime, as the Broncos won 29–23.

2016-Present

In early August 2016, Tebow made announcements that he was interested in pursuing a career in professional baseball and invited all 30 Major League Baseball teams to his open tryout. In September 2016, Tebow signed a minor league contract with the New York Mets and participated in the Mets’ instructional league. In his first at-bat with the organization, Tebow hit a home run on the first pitch. In 2018, the Mets invited Tebow to major league camp, and promoted him to play Double-A ball at the beginning of the 2018 season.

The #2 seeded Duke Blue Devils lost to the #1 seed Kansas Jayhawks during the Elite 8 of the 2018 NCAA Tournament, and with that loss, came the end of Grayson Allen’s roller coaster of a Duke career.

Allen was one of the all-time Duke villains: between his affluent upbringing, smug face, and penchant for tripping his opponents, Grayson Allen was pretty easy to root against. And while he also had some serious game on the court, he appeared to be lost for the entirety of the tournament, especially when it counted most: his last game. Not only did Allen shoot 3-for-13 against Kansas, but he also missed a potential game-winning shot.

That what makes Allen’s exit from college basketball all the sweeter is that he could have been the one to keep it alive. His future was in his hands, an opportunity most of us never have … and he blew it.

Wrestlemania. The Showcase of the Immortals. WWE’s flagship show. Does it get much bigger than that? It has to be amazing to be one of the lucky few who headlines the top show of the top promotion. The likes of Hogan, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, John Cena, and the Rock all have headlined the show on many occasions. But who has the last four Wrestlmania’s belonged to? Roman Reigns.

Roman Reigns & Brock Lesnar

Reigns will be heading to his fourth straight ‘Mania in the main event position challenging current champion Brock Lesnar in a rematch of Wrestlemania 31. There are few Superstars more divisive of the fanbase at the moment than Reigns. Clearly packaged over and over as ‘The Guy’ by WWE and often rejected by large amounts of the fanbase for that reason. That doesn’t stop WWE from continually pushing him though, in fact, they seem to keep pushing harder. Making it seem like Triple H and The Authority hate him, winning the Royal Rumble, even bringing out The Rock to try and give him a rub. Nothing has solidified it. So why does it seem the WWE Universe aren’t up in arms about a fourth straight headline when they didn’t even seem to want him to headline a second Wrestlemania. Credit the storytelling, has been better on this one. Letting Reigns cut a vicious promo on Lesnar and then having Lesnar come out and kick the crap out of him was brilliant. That’s not it though. The real reason? Two names. A.J. Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura.

A.J. Styles

A.J. Styles burst on the scene coming out number three in the 2016 Royal Rumble. Ironically the narrative of this Rumble was that Roman would have to win to keep his title, the irony is only compounded by the fact that many watching on the WWE Network missed the very beginning of Styles’ entrance because the camera was lingering on the reaction of none other than Roman Reigns. The night ended with Triple H winning and setting up Wrestlemania 32’s main event… against Reigns. That wasn’t what the fans took from it though. Styles has arrived. Fresh off his run as leader of the Bullet Club in New Japan Pro Wrestling fans were elated to see the former TNA mainstay in a WWE ring, and Styles delivered. Since his initial appearance, he has won both the World Championship and the United States Championship twice as well as being arguably the top performer on the promotion. Although while Styles was enjoying success on the main roster, a familiar foe was finding success just below him in NXT.

Shinsuke Nakamura

Shinsuke Nakamura broke into WWE not even three months after Styles at NXT: Takeover Dallas, the NXT tie into Wresltmania 32. He came out strong with a great match against Sami Zayn. He would go on to win the NXT Championship twice making him only the second man to do it after Samoa Joe. After a call-up to SmackDown Live, he spent some time in some lackluster feuds with Dolph Ziggler and Jinder Mahal. The later leading to a World Championship match at Summerslam 2017. There were a few other feuds and notable appearances in there, but for a second it seemed like WWE wasn’t a hundred percent sure what to do with the former NJPW star. Until Royal Rumble 2018.  The match came down to Nakamura and guess who? That’s right Roman Reigns. Some of the crowd already seemed reserved that The Big Dog was going to get another win, to set him for another main event at Wrestlemania against Lesnar again. So when they saw the artist know as Shinsuke Nakamura put the company’s favorite guy over the top rope they were elated. Because you know what that means?

A.J. Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura at Wrestlemania 34. Now if you are a fan of strictly the WWE and only watch shows tied into this promotion you might not get why a lot of die-hard fans are losing their collective minds at this. Cool, two really great performers are going at it. There’s so much more to it. This isn’t the first time the two have met in a significant Pay-Per-View Event. Just weeks before Styles showed up at the Royal Rumble and months before Nakamura showed up in NXT, the two fought at Wrestle Kingdom 10 for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship which was held by Nakamura. This wasn’t a one-off superstar fight like Jericho and Omega from Wrestle Kingdom 12. These were major NJPW powers. Styles was a two-time IWGP World Heavy Weight Champion, while Nakamura held the title three times as well as five runs as the IWGP Intercontinental Champion. Reports were that both Styles and Nakamura gave their notice mere hours after this event that they were leaving for WWE. Thus closing the book on what we thought would be these superpowers fighting. How could WWE let two juggernauts from other promotions come in and take over the main event spot without putting one of their own in the mix? Two reasons. Roman Reigns and the Brand split.

WWE, more notably Vince McMahon himself, has been notorious for burying the competition and reveling in humiliating them. From WWE’s victory in the Invasion angle to Sting losing his only ever Wrestlemania match to Triple H to the fact they won’t even acknowledge TNA has ever existed. WWE is the best and McMahon wants you to know. So how could he even dream of letting the World Championship be fought over by two monsters of TNA and NJPW at the event that he created? Easy. It’s the SmackDown Championship. The Championship of his beloved flagship Raw? It’s the Universal Championship, and it will be fought over by longtime WWE man Brock Lesnar and hand-picked face of the company Roman Reigns. At the end of the day, McMahon gets what he wants, and we get what we want. It’s as simple as that. And you know what? That’s okay.

So here we find ourselves. Going into Wrestlemania with Vince McMahon’s dream Championship match and the fans dream Championship match coexisting. I was never the biggest fan of the brand split, I understand the plus sides but also felt like it diluted the product a little. Though I will admit, this is the first time I’ve really thought that it is serving its purpose. The WWE higher-ups get what they want, and we get what we want. And what makes this even better is Reigns vs. Lesnar should be a great match.I understand being frustrated with Reigns because the company has tried to make us like him, but the guy puts on solid events. Styles and Nakamura are most likely going to put on a monster match. It’s a safe bet that even a mediocre match from them could outshine most people on their best day. Maybe with the pressure being taken off Reigns and his match to be the marquee event of the night, people can appreciate it for what it is. Solid wrestling.

This is a common theme Marvel loves to use and for a good reason. The unification of strangers coming together to become parts of a greater whole: a family. It was no accident including this shot of Thanos taking a young Gamora from her homeworld by the hand, almost as if he believes to be saving her, most likely right before his soldiers began the slaughter of every other inhabitant on the planet.

It’s common knowledge Gamora is by far the favorite child of her adoptive father Thanos, even her sister Nebula goes so far as trying to kill her (several times) out of spite for the torture Thanos did to her for not being as strong as Gamora. Even when Thanos was made aware that Gamora was planning on selling the power stone she was instructed to retrieve, he blamed her change of heart entirely on Ronan claiming he alienated his favorite daughter, not once believing she would do something to disappoint her father or cause him any harm.

A Telling Point of View

In a recent interview, Joe Russo told Fandango: “(The movie’s) point of view is Thanos’ point of view, so it’s a villain driving the narrative… I think you could argue, too, that a lot of the film is told from the point of view of Gamora, and I think she has a really interesting arc in the movie.”

If Thanos is the narrator of this tale, this brings us deeper into his state of mind. Apart from being an omnipotent alien who finds harmony and balance by destroying half of the universe, he also sees himself as a father. Marvel understands how to handle family conflict and rage (see Captain America: The Winter Soldier) which is why the Russo Brothers are the perfect guys to handle this project.

To what lengths will Thanos go to win his favorite daughter back to his side once he realizes the depths of her indifference toward him? This is a fascinating way to tell the Infinity War story, seeing the Avengers through Thanos’ eyes, but even more interesting will be the way he sees his children… and in turn, how he is forced to see himself once he learns of what they think about dear ol’ dad!

The highly-publicized career of Duke star Grayson Allen came to a close as the Blue Devils lost a thriller to Kansas in the Elite Eight. Allen was the most recent player to sit on the throne as the Duke villain. His Duke career highlighted by NCAA tournament runs, a national championship and a lot of odd “tripping” incidents made him one of the most polarizing players in college basketball. Allen’s career was already going to be under a microscope as the leader of one of the most storied basketball programs in the country and his tendency to make headlines for what some considered dirty play further pushed him to the center of the college basketball world.

Now that his college career has come to an end we will breakdown Grayson Allen’s NBA draft outlook.

Strengths

Grayson Allen established himself as a dynamic scoring threat during his four years at Duke. He is a terrific shooter who possesses above-average athleticism that allows him to create his shot off the dribble. In the NBA he will find it much harder to work off the dribble and might be susceptible to a learning curve in that area. His three-point shooting ability will make him an enticing draft prospect for established playoff teams looking to add a capable, smart shooter to their rotation. Allen can hold his own in the NBA with his size at 6-5 205 pounds and a wingspan close to 7 feet.

Also, teams will not have to worry about outside pressures wearing on him mentally. By being the face of Duke basketball, he has faced unlimited amounts of scrutiny and criticism. And yes, a lot of this he brought on himself, but he did not let any of it affect his on-court play. If there is one thing, Grayson does not lack, its confidence.

Weaknesses

Most NBA teams when evaluating Allen will take a good long hard look at his maturity level. Allen has embroiled himself in controversy stemming from tripping players, hip-checking players, and kicking other players.

NBA scouts will thoroughly look at each of these lapses in judgment and Allen will need to prove to them that he has grown as a player and will be leaving this type of dirty play behind. There is a need in the NBA for scrappy players who get under the skin of there opponents so some teams will not hold such a hard line on these issues. Another area of concern in Allen’s game is defense. He has not been a lockdown defender throughout his college career, and in the NBA he will need to improve or be preyed upon by veteran players.

NBA Draft Prediction:

Grayson Allen should be viewed as a late first-round draft pick. He will never be the go-to guy in the NBA, but with his high basketball IQ and shooting ability, he should be able to carve out a solid NBA career.

South Korean idol singer and actor Seo Minwoo, best known as a member of South Korean boy group 100%, died this Sunday at the age of 33, as announced by the boy band’s agency TOP Media, after he was found in his home on Sunday night.

What happened?

According to The Korean Herald, the agency issued the following announcement, which was translated as follows:

“[Seo Minwoo] was found at his home in Gangnam, Seoul. Paramedics rushed to the scene, who pronounced him dead.”

IBTimes also issued the following translation:

“This is TOP Media.We apologize for delivering this sudden and heartbreaking news. Our artist 100% Minwoo left our side on March 25. He was found without a pulse at his home in Gangnam. 911 first responders arrived at the scene but he was declared dead.”

“His family, 100% members, TOP Media colleague artists, and staff members are all grief-stricken and mourning due to the unexpected sad news. As the oldest member of his team, Minwoo lead his members and truly loved fans as he was warm-hearted.”

“Because everyone who knows Minwoo is aware of his kindheartedness and faithfulness, the sadness is even greater. His funeral will be carried out quietly in respect to his family’s wishes. We express our deepest condolences for his final path.”

Originally an actor, Seo’s initial big break was in the television drama series, Sharp 3. He later broke out into music, becoming a singer in 2012, as the leader of the 100% group.

Before his passing, the group was planning on performing two concerts in Japan this upcoming April. At this time, it is unknown if the concerts will be postponed or not.

On social media, Seo’s fans issued their condolences on Twitter. One user, identified as nal, wrote the following:

“100% deserves so much in this world, i really hope they’re holding up okay, my heart goes out to the members and family of minwoo. may he now rest in paradise.”

Another, identified as minwoo, wrote the following:

“not a lot of people knew minwoo or 100% but let me tell you that man was and still is the most beautiful angel with the most amazing voice who worked hard for so many years to receive the recognition he deserved. this is just BEYOND unreal.”

What was Seo Minwoo’s official cause of death?

According to The Korean Herald, it was originally believed that the idol died of a heart attack. IBTimes also attributed the performer’s passing to cardiac arrest. He was 33 at the time of his passing.

Following a late 2017 suspension of all Greek Life social activity, Florida State University has lifted the alcohol ban that was set into place back in November.

The suspension on Greek Life came following the death of Andrew Coffey. Coffey, a pledge at Pi Kappa Phi, died on Friday, November 3, after he was found unresponsive following a fraternity party. Police said alcohol may have been a factor but were awaiting an autopsy. Coffey, 20, was a junior in his first semester at Florida State.

According to reports, emails were sent to all FSU Recognized Student Organization presidents and advisers, and all leaders and advisers of Greek organizations, explaining that the alcohol ban would be lifted on Monday, March 26. However, the lift on the ban comes with certain stipulations.

The emails begin, “During the past five months, the Florida State University community has been working collaboratively to address serious issues related to safe, responsible conduct and behavior. Our work is far from complete, and the university continues to engage students and organizations to address relevant issues as we strive for a safer, healthier community.”

The email to Greek organizations reads, “Effective Monday, March 26, 2018, recognized fraternities and sororities in good standing with the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life (OFSL) that have completed risk management training offered by OFSL, will be permitted to host social events with alcohol.” The email then outlines expectations, including adhering to the FSU Alcohol Policy, chapters providing official notice of all events to OFSL, following the Governing Council constitutions for additional requirements related to hosting events with alcohol, and registering all events with alcohol with the university.

The email sent to RSO leaders says the organizations must also adhere to the FSU Alcohol Policy and all RSO leaders and advisers must complete the risk management training if they plan to host events with alcohol. Some of the training sessions have already been scheduled.

In response to incidents like these, fraternities such Phi Kappa Psi have made numerous changes to their code of conduct in an effort to address the issues that have arisen. In addition, schools such as Texas State have introduced new Greek Life rules to try and prevent these problems.

These reports come amidst similar allegations that have been made against fraternities nationwide, including Sigma Alpha Epsilon at East Carolina University, who were shut down for hazing and the Lamda Chi Alpha chapter at the University of Arkansas which has been accused of taking sexually explicit photographs of women without their permission.

In response to incidents like these, fraternities such Phi Kappa Psi have made numerous changes to their code of conduct in an effort to address the issues that have arisen. In addition, schools such as Texas State have introduced new Greek Life rules to try and prevent these problems

Linda Brown, who, as a girl, was the subject of the historic Brown v. Board of Education case that ended segregation in American schools, died on Sunday afternoon in Topeka, Kansas. Her passing had been confirmed by her sister, Cheryl Brown Henderson, who later became known as the founding president of The Brown Foundation.

What happened?

When Brown was 9 years old, in 1951, her father, Oliver, tried to enroll her at Sumner Elementary School near her home, which was an all-white school at the time; after the school blocked her enrollment, her father sued the Topeka Board of Education. Eventually, four other cases were combined with Brown’s complaint, effectively becoming Oliver L. Brown et al v. Board of Education of Topeka, Shawnee County, Kansas, et al, as it was presented to the Supreme Court. The 1954  ruling found that separate, or segregated, schools were unequal, effectively overturning Plessy v. Ferguson, which established the separate but equal doctrine, establishing Jim Crow laws.

As mentioned above, according to The Topeka Capital-Journal, Brown’s sister, Cheryl Brown Henderson, who is the founding president of The Brown Foundation, confirmed her death, adding that the family would not add further comment.

According to CNN, Sherrilyn Ifill, president and director-counsel at NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, issued the following statement about Linda:

“Linda Brown is one of that special band of heroic young people who, along with her family, courageously fought to end the ultimate symbol of white supremacy — racial segregation in public schools. She stands as an example of how ordinary schoolchildren took center stage in transforming this country.”

“It was not easy for her or her family, but her sacrifice broke barriers and changed the meaning of equality in this country.”

“64 years ago a young girl from Topeka brought a case that ended segregation in public schools in America. Linda Brown’s life reminds us that sometimes the most unlikely people can have an incredible impact and that by serving our community we can truly change the world.”

At this time, Linda Brown’s official cause of death is not known. Conflicting reports did not agree on how old she had been at the time of her death; The Topeka Capital-Journal gave her age as 76 while CNN claimed she was 75.

Who Is Liv Morgan?

Liv Morgan is a professional wrestler who works for WWE, currently assigned to the SmackDown brand. Her birth name is Gionna Jene Daddio. She was born on June 8, 1994, in Paramus, New Jersey.

Morgan was first signed to a WWE contract in October 2014 after she was discovered at the Joe DeFranco’s gym in Wyckoff, New Jersey. She was sent to WWE’s developmental territory NXT to begin her career in professional wrestling. Initially, she went by the ring-name of “Marley” for about a month before being repackaged under the moniker of “Liv Morgan.”

The 23-year-old superstar made a big splash upon arrival to WWE’s main roster. On Tuesday, November 21, 2017, Morgan made her SmackDown Live debut alongside Riot Squad stablemates Ruby Riott and Sarah Logan. Together, they attacked numerous members of the women’s division, from the backstage arena to the ring. In their first night on the roster, they laid out the likes of Naomi, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Natalya Neidhart.
