Keri Russell, 41, is an American actress. She broke out as the lead role of Felicity Porter on the popular series Felicity, which ran for four seasons from 1998 to 2002 and earned her a Golden Globe Award.

Today, she stars in the critically acclaimed FX drama The Americans, where her role as undercover KGB agent Elizabeth Jennings has earned her a Primetime Emmy and Golden Globe nomination.

Since Felicity aired so long ago and The Americans is criminally underrated, y’all may have been sleeping on Keri Russell.

In addition to her notable TV roles, Russell has also appeared in popular movies such as Mission: Impossible III (2006), August Rush (2007), Extraordinary Measures (2010), Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014) and Free State of Jones (2016).

Krypton Episode 1 review

We all know the sad story of Superman’s home planet Krypton, one that has chilling parallels to our planet’s very real climate crisis today. Despite its notoriety, relatively little information on the Kryptonian’s culture and history have been revealed. But this is all about to change.

Syfy’s ‘Krypton’ is giving us a glimpse into the planet’s past, two generations before the birth of Superman (or Kal-El, his Kryptonian birth name). The protagonist is his grandfather Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe) who struggles to earn back the honor of the House of El, find a way to be with the woman he loves and to save his world for the sake of his future grandson.

Krypton Episode 1 Viewing Details

Date: Wednesday, March 21, 2018
Time: 10:00 P.M. EST
Episode Title: Piot
TV Channel: SyFy

Kandor City

The pilot begins 14 years before the rest of the series, with the trial and execution of El patriarch Van-El. The scene hints at a recent and drastic regime change, apparently grounded in religion. A masked figure called The Voice of Rao (Krypton’s primary deity) silently presides over all court scenes and seems to be the foremost authority of Kandor City.

Kandor City is founded on a caste system, with noble houses, guilds, and the swarms of ‘Rankless’ citizens that eke out a living in the lower alleys and streets. The Rankless seem to have few rights compared to the rest of the populace and suffer regular harassment from law enforcers and a strict curfew. Seg-El manuevers through this world like he was born to it, only to suddenly get an offer of advancement from one of the men most responsible for his House’s dissolution and grandfather’s death, Daron-Vex (Elliot Cowan).

The House of Zod

Jayna and Lyta of House Zod

The House of Zod leads the warrior guild, with the infamous General Zod’s great-grandmother Jayna-Zodd (Ann Ogbomo ) and grandmother Lyta-Zod (Georgina Campbell) at its forefront. Lyta is also in a star-crossed relationship with Seg even as unfolding events seem to strain or even threaten the end of their relationship.

Adam Strange

As Seg faces trial after trial, he encounters the time-displaced Adam Strange, who warns him of an enemy approaching Krypton to change the future and gives him the key to Van-El’s Fortress of Solitude. Using one of Superman’s capes to gauge changes to the past, he enlists Seg to finish his grandfather’s work and defend his planet and future grandson against the villain Brainiac.

Adam shows Seg his grandson’s cape

The episode ends with Seg at a crossroads; his entire family and legacy have been destroyed before his eyes, yet he has received not only a chance to redeem himself but proof from the future of his success.

The Good

Krypton is ultimately an enjoyable show that requires little to no pre-existing knowledge of Superman or DC comics. While set in a fairly typical futuristic dystopia, elements such as the Voice of Rao, decent special effects and the excitement of learning more about Superman’s homeworld add intrigue and leave you wanting more. Aside from the near-constant presence of the iconic S-shaped Crest of the House of El, the seasoned DC fan can spy inspirations taken from comics such as John Byrne and Mike Mignola’s The World of Krypton and the prologue in Man of Steel (2013).

The Bad

The show could have easily done, however, without the time-travel and Adam Strange plot. His quest to save Superman and gain the help of Seg ultimately distracts from the greater narrative and Kryptonian culture. Future episodes would do well to better integrate the plots in future episodes.

Johnny Knoxville Is Starring In A Movie Based On An Infamous Theme Park Near My Hometown

Paramount Pictures

It’s been all quiet on the Johnny Knoxville front for a couple years now, which is understandable, given that the once-spry Jackass star is now a 47-year-old father-of-three. However, you can’t keep the dog caged forever, so you knew it was only a matter of time until Knoxville was back on the big screen injuring himself for our entertainment.

And because this is a Johnny Knoxville movie, the stunts are 100% authentic. Even as he approaches 50, the dude is still putting his body on the line. What a legend.

Now, while the fake movie with the real stunts is called Action Point, it’s actually based on a very real New Jersey amusement park called Action Park.

Action Park is a fixture in New Jersey folklore, as it was notorious for it’s shoddy rides and management back in the day. Opened in the late 70’s, Action Park featured three separate areas: the Alpine Center, Motorworld, and Waterworld. In fact, Waterworld was one of the first modern American water parks.

However, while the park may have been as popular as it was modern, it was also known for it’s “poorly designed, unsafe rides; under-aged, under-trained, and often under-the-influence staff, and a consequently poor safety record.”  And we aren’t just talking rides that caused broken bombs and knee scraps, as SIX people died from injuries sustained at the park.

The park, which was eventually shuttered in 1996 (before being later re-opened by new owners), went on to earn the monikers “Traction Park”, “Accident Park”, and “Class Action Park”.

University Of Arizona Fraternity Returns After Being Suspended In 2014

The Phi Gamma Delta fraternity — commonly reffered to as FIJI — will reportedly return to the University of Arizona campus four years ago. FIJI was shut down in 2014 for violating multiple university policies such as hazing and serving alcohol to minors.

The University of Arizona Phi Gamma Delta chapter was removed from the school’s campus in August 2014 for multiple code of conduct violations that resulted in the death of 19-year-old Michael Evan Anderson in April of 2014.

According to reports, Anderson fell off the roof of at a University of Arizona after attending a FIJI fraternity party. A toxicology report revealed that Anderson had a blood-alcohol level that was twice the legal limit.

via KTAR:

While authorities couldn’t determine if the fraternity direct played a role in the death of Anderson, they found that it had hosted 20 events from December 2013 to April 2014 where alcohol was served to minors. The university kicked the FIJI chapter off campus for violating drug, alcohol and hazing policies.

In the decision, Phi Delta Gamma was kicked out until April 2019. However, the fraternity was allowed to begin reestablishing itself last year because every member who was in the organization during the 2014 incident had graduated or were no longer enrolled.

The fraternity announced plans to “recolonize” the organization last fall and, in February, it released an update which said that it had recruited 18 new members in the spring. The fraternity has as many as 75 members.

In response to incidents like these, fraternities such Phi Kappa Psi have made numerous changes to their code of conduct in an effort to address the issues that have arisen. In addition, schools such as Texas State have introduced new Greek Life rules to try and prevent these problems.

These reports come amidst similar allegations that have been made against fraternities nationwide, including Sigma Alpha Epsilon at East Carolina University, who were shut down for hazing and the Lamda Chi Alpha chapter at the University of Arkansas which has been accused of taking sexually explicit photographs of women without their permission.

In response to incidents like these, fraternities such Phi Kappa Psi have made numerous changes to their code of conduct in an effort to address the issues that have arisen. In addition, schools such as Texas State have introduced new Greek Life rules to try and prevent these problems.

‘Monty Python’ Is Officially Coming To Netflix

Well, it looks like Monty Python is officially “silly-walking” their way onto Netflix.

In an official statement on their website, the legendary British comedy troupe announced that Netflix has purchased the rights to air the majority of Monty Python’s film and TV catalog. Yes, that means Monty Python & The Holy Grail, Monty Python’s Life of Brian and Monty Python’s Flying Circus, will be among the titles that will soon be available to stream.

Monty Python is a British comedy troupe made up of Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin. They first formed in the 1960s and went on to write and act in the now famous Flying Circus sketch show. From there, they would go on to start in numerous films such as Monty Python & The Holy Grail, Monty Python’s Life of Brian and And Now For Something Completely Different, among many others. Monty Python & The Holy Grail would be adapted by Idle to make the Broadway musical Spamalot, which went on to win numerous awards including the Tony for Best Musical. The group would break up and reunite a few times over the years, last performing together in 2013 and 2014.

Since the group is British, it is only fair that UK Netflix users will get access to the Monty Python catalog before anyone else. On April 15th, UK fans will be able to stream these Monty Python titles and replay it as much as they want to. The catalog will arrive in the United States and other territories sometime later this year.

To help get us ready for our eventual binge watch, let’s relive some of Monty Python’s clips.

Spurs Hold Team Meeting To Determine Kawhi Leonard’s Future

After almost seven seasons as a key component of one of the NBA’s most decorated franchises, rampant speculation has enveloped the San Antonio Spurs and the basketball universe that Kawhi Leonard’s tenure with the team is drawing to a close. In a desperate and sensational plea, Leonard’s teammates are holding a closed-door team meeting on March 22nd, begging him to stay.

It all began with a salacious January 22nd report from Adrian Wojnarowski. In the article, entitled ‘Sources: Kawhi Leonard’s rehab creating a chilling effect with team,’ Woj outlines an increasingly icy relationship between Kawhi and Greg Popovich and G.M. R.C. Buford, all relating to disagreements on injury treatment and rehab. Kawhi has wanted to control his playing time and minutes, which the Spurs have not allowed. It seems unlikely he will get what he wants in the ‘whole greater than the individual’ Spurs basketball institution.

In a move that has an air of cynical spite, Kawhi is refusing to play, despite Spurs team doctors clearing him of his quad injury and giving him permission to take the court. Kawhi has his own medical team, separate from the team, and he has stated that he will not play until they, rather than the San Antonio doctors, clear him.

Since the late January bombshell and Leonard’s subsequent hardwood boycott, other drips, drabs and leaks have come to light, only adding to the conjecture that Leonard is looking to leave South Texas. One particularly juicy rumor is that Leonard is looking to return to his home of Southern California, teaming up with Lebron James and perhaps one other star on the Los Angeles Lakers.

Whatever Kawhi’s plans are, the controversy seemed to be reaching a stunning climax yesterday, as long-time Spurs legend Manu Ginobili stated that “he,” I.E., Leonard, “is not coming back.” Though some took this to mean that Kawhi was finished as a Spur, Ginobili clarified that he only meant this season.

Either way, on the heels of the Ginobili comment, today the Spurs players, led by future hall of fame point guard Tony Parker, held an emotional get together behind closed doors with Leonard. Once again reported on by Woj, the meeting was designed as an opportunity for the San Antonio players to release tension and clarify grievances with their star teammate. Despite their impassioned begging and genuine openness, it appears that Leonard was not swayed, with Woj writing that “Leonard was resolute in his response, insisting that he had good reason for sitting out all but nine games with a right quadriceps injury this season.”

Fair or not, Kawhi does not seem keen to relinquish his stubborn position. If his teammates cannot sway him, it is indeed fair to wonder if Kawhi Leonard will be wearing another uniform come fall 2018. It is stunning to consider when one remembers that up until this season, it was widely believed that he was Tim Duncan’s rightful and long-term successor on the Spurs.

In what seems to be an effort to fight off the popularity of “bitter rival” Fortnite: Battle Royale, the first battle royale game to hit the mainstream, PLAYERUKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS, will be adding a new “Event Mode” in the next update.

Similar to Fortnite‘s rotating modes (which have consisted of 50 vs. 50 and five teams of 20 facing off), PUBG’s new mode will feature new rotating modes to enjoy the high stakes battle royale game in. According to the blog post announcing the mode, developer PUBG Corp said, “think of the Event Mode as a periodically changing preset Custom Game where we will be trying new things and experimenting with different game parameters.”

The first of the limited timed “Event Modes” will be a match that pits teams of eight players against each other in the infamous gameplay style of PUBG. Set on either of the two maps featured in the game, the mode could feature twelve teams of eight players fighting their way to victory with the help of extra rifle drops all over the map.

PUBG Corp also stated in the announcement of the mode that the feature was just implemented in their systems so the first of the “Event Modes” will stay “basic” but could get bigger in time. Also, it was announced that “Event Mode” would be unranked and would rely solely on matchmaking. This means that “Event Mode” may not be able to be played alongside friends on your friends’ list but only with people found from matchmaking.

Players who play in rounds of “Event Mode” will also still receive Battle Points at the end of the match, allowing them to purchase cosmetic items in the in-game shop. Lastly, PUBG Corp teased a new weapon which will be making its debut in the next edition of the “Event Mode,” a red flare gun!

Bluehole

PUBG Corp has stated, “Once we see that the current test build is in a stable state, we plan to move it to the live server soon. We will inform you on the detailed schedule later on.” So we could be able to see the new mode live on the servers this week.

Meanwhile, PUBG players on the Xbox One can rejoice as the game is set to get another update improving graphic and performance issues. The update, which was announced on the PUBG Forums, is set to enhance stability on the Xbox and will also strengthen inventory management (which has been a significant complaint so far).

Also, PUBG has made its debut on the iOS and Google Play stores with the release of PUBG Mobile. The mobile game plays pretty much exactly like a normal round of PUBG and is currently live to play for free! Download PUBG Mobile App Store in the or Google Play Store now!

Johnny Manziel Participates In University Of San Diego Pro Day

Embattled former NFL QB Johnny Manziel is back in the eyes of NFL scouts. The ex-Browns QB participated in the Univ. of San Diego’s pro day. Manziel has not been on an NFL roster since 2016 when he was a member of the Cleveland Browns. He has been a lightning rod for controversy during his tenuous NFL career. He’s been known more for his late-night partying than throwing touchdowns. Although, an interesting stat the last QB to win a game for the Cleveland Browns was the one and only Johnny Football. I don’t know who that says more about?

Manziel was granted permission by the Univ. of San Diego to participate in their pro day to showcase his comeback skills. By all accounts, it seemed to have gone pretty well.

Johnny Football might have finally cleaned up his act after what seemed like endless promises to enter rehab for his drinking and drug use. During this whole comeback process, he has coined the term #ComebackSZN for his new revamped image.

Manziel has been working to get back into playing shape with QB guru George Whitfield, Jr. and also is scheduled to play in the inaugural Spring League coming in April. The Spring League is a new developmental league for scouting purposes to get players a foot in the door with the NFL. Fringe ex-college players who didn’t quite make the cut and former NFL players who have lost their way will be the participants in the league. Manziel was also recently spotted working out with top NFL draft prospect Saquon Barkley. If there is anyone right now to be spotted with for good PR purposes, it’s Barkley. He has become the belle of the ball during this NFL offseason thus far.

The Massacre at Pleasureland: A Story About The Most Haunted Place You’ve Never Heard Of

Earlier this morning, I wrote an article about Johnny Knoxville’s new movie Action Point, which is based on the infamous New Jersey waterpark Action Park — a park that was known for its sketchy rides, drunken staff and the people it killed. Yes, killed. But as I was writing, it occurred to me that Hollywood made a movie about the wrong legendary New Jersey park.

They should have made a movie about Pleasureland.

Pleasureland was different than Action Park in many ways, most notably that is was older, smaller, and far less popular. While Action Park was one of the most famous amusement parks in the country at its time, Pleasureland Park remained largely unheard of.

Situated in deep in the sticks of Oakland, New Jersey, the remains of Pleasureland Park were merely a couple of miles from my house growing up. And one summer, when I was maybe 11 or 12, we decided to venture in. If you’ve ever seen Stand By Me, it was basically the same thing, except subtract the dead guy and add LG flip phones: just me, a couple buddies, and a coming-of-age adventure into the woods.

Growing up, the legend was that Pleasureland Park was shut down after a gang of Rastafarians (yes, seriously, Rastafarians) busted in and shot the place up. And remember, this was before the time of smartphones, so it wasn’t like you could just quickly Google the park’s history like you can today. So we hopped on our bikes and into the forest to find out exactly what was behind the myth of Pleasureland.

However, the point of this story isn’t what happened that day — you bet your ass no one ventured in there at night — because nothing really did. The point of this story is what happened before we ever got there … what actually happened at Pleasureland Park.

As it turns out, all the tall tales we heard when we were kids were essentially true.

According to the New York Times, on August 5, 1985, gunmen open fired at Pleasureland Park, killing two and wounding another nine. As the story goes, the gunfire rained down for minutes as thousands of panicked pool-goers fled the park.

via NY Times:

Three of the nine suffered critical gunshot wounds, and 11 others were injured when terrified bystanders stormed and battered down an 8-foot chain-link fence to escape the gunfire spraying through the recreation complex in Oakland, N.J., 25 miles northwest of midtown Manhattan.

At a late evening news conference, the Bergen County Prosecutor, Larry J. McClure, said one of the slain men, whom he declined to identify, was the driver of a chartered bus and an innocent bystander who had died at the scene of the shootings. The second victim, identified as Hopeton Reid, about 28, died at 10:33 P.M. while in surgery at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Paterson. He had been shot in the neck.

Following the attack, Oakland police went on a frantic search for the for the suspects, eventually arresting six people and seizing 24 guns, including two Uzi submachine guns, and a variety of knives and machetes. However, while the six people arrested were charged with weapons violations, it was unclear if they were suspects in the massacre.

At the time, police received conflicting reports of what happened, as authorities had ”no information to confirm that there were groups involved,” or that drugs played any role in the shootings.

While one Oakland officer said it appeared to have been a “gunfight between rival gangs”, some witnesses stated that the gunmen seemed to be shooting at random into the crowds. Furthermore, others suggested that an individual man who ”went nuts” began the firing, which was returned by others.

”A gunfight took place between a number of individuals,” Mr. McClure said at the news conference at Oakland Police Headquarters. ”We are trying to piece together what happened.”

Regardless of why it happened, once it did, “pandemonium broke loose,” said to the Prosecutor.

The park — a private, heavily wooded, 40-acre area of swimming pools, picnic areas and sports facilities — was shutt down after the shooting, receding back into nature as time went on. If you go there today, local kids will still tell you they mess around at Pleasureland during the summer, as it’s drained pools provide for excellent skating and biking ground. But even to this day, over thirty years after The Massacre at Pleasureland happened , you’ll be hard-pressed to find someone — kid, adult, or otherwise — willing to venture those woods at night.

You can read the entire archived 1985 report about The Massacre at Pleasureland on the New York Times here.

Top 5 Moments Of Kawhi Leonard’s NBA Career

As the flames of scandal and controversy levitate and sizzle around the Spurs and Kawhi Leonard, now seems as good a time as ever to look back on and remember the stoic Spur superstar’s career and it’s best moments.

#5 2012 NBA Playoffs

Instagram Photo

Kawhi’s first taste of the NBA postseason came during his rookie year with the Spurs. San Antonio had the league’s best record at 50-16 during the strike-shortened 2012 season, entering the playoffs on a ten game winning streak. Kawhi was a critical piece off the bench at a youthful 20 years old, averaging 7.9 Points, 1.3 steals (which led the team) and 5.1 rebounds throughout the Spurs three-round run in the playoffs. This run ended with a surprise six-game defeat to the young Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and James Harden Oklahoma City Thunder trio in the Western Conference Finals.

#4 Career High Scoring Night, 1/21/2017

Instagram Photo

Midway through last season, the Spurs faced off with the Cavaliers in Cleveland. Heralded as a potential duel between Lebron and Kawhi, the two elite small forwards did not disappoint. Lebron finished the night with an efficient 29 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists, but it was Kawhi who grabbed all the buzz and headlines, scoring a career-best 41 points in a San Antonio victory. A classic example of Kawhi’s trademark silent fearlessness, daringly besting one of the great players in the history of the game while pouring on the buckets.

#3 First All-Star Game

Instagram Photo

Kawhi made the leap many had been waiting for during the 2015-2016 season. Up to that point, so many had seen the clear-cut talent and two-way ability, but Leonard had yet to put it all together on a nightly basis. Finally, in 2016, the moment had arrived. Kawhi averaged 21.2 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.8 steals as the Spurs finished the season with a 67-15 record. The stats didn’t even begin to tell the full story, as Kawhi became the leagues best perimeter defender and one of it’s best pure scorers. For his trouble, he was invited to his first all-star game, held in Toronto Canada, where he scored 17 points and grabbed two steals.

#2 First Defensive Player Of The Year Award

Instagram Photo

Leonard has famously taken home two defensive player of the year awards, the first in 2015, the second during the aforementioned 2016 season. It was a tight vote in 2015, with Draymond Green also very much in the running. In fact, Green actually earned more first-place votes than Kawhi, but the latter had more second, third, fourth, etc. place votes, which put him over the top. It is entirely possible that Leonard has not yet earned his last DPOY award, as he is one of the great defensive players the league has seen in a long time.

#1 2014 NBA Finals

Instagram Photo

To this point, Kawhi’s greatest NBA moment came during the Spurs five-game defeat in the 2014 NBA Finals of the Miami Heat. After a slow start in games 1 and 2, Leonard put it all together in Miami in game 3 with 29 points and excellent defense on Lebron James. Kawhi kept his two-way play going over the last two games, finishing the series with over 20 points game over the previous 3, and 17.8 on 62 percent shooting overall. His proficiency on both offense and defense earned him Finals MVP. It was a critical and historic step on his rise to superstardom.

Uber American Express Free Airport Rides

Elaine Herzberg of Tempe, Arizona died on Sunday, March 18, following a fatal accident in which she was struck by a self-driving Uber, making her the first known victim of an autonomous car accident. Herzberg, 49, was walking her bicycle and some grocery bags across a four-lane highway when she was struck by the self-driving Volvo XC-90 SUV. The vehicle, which was piloted by a trained Uber employee, Rafaela Vasquez, was going 38 mph in a 35 mph zone.

Herzberg, who is believed to have been homeless, had already made it across three lanes of traffic before appearing suddenly in front of Vasquez and the vehicle, neither of which were able to slow down in time.

While the autonomous vehicles themselves are designed to stop upon the appearance of an object in their path, the presence of an Uber ‘pilot’, such as Vasquez, is meant to take control when the vehicle’s automation fails. A recently released video by Tempe police appears to show neither of those precautions taking place leading up to the accident. In the video, Vasquez is seen looking down just moments before the fatal collision, before looking out to the road and gasping.

Instagram Photo

According to the Daily Mail, Uber employs around 400 such safety drivers, requiring them to complete a three-week training course following a company background check. Uber has since suspended all road-testing for autonomous vehicles in Phoenix, Pittsburgh, San Francisco and Toronto areas.

While not much is known about Herzberg, it is believed that neither Vasquez nor Uber will be held responsible for her death. Tempe police chief Sylvia Moir telling the San Francisco Chronicle, “it’s very clear it would have been difficult to avoid this collision in any kind of mode (autonomous or human-driven) based on how she came from the shadows right into the roadway.”

While Uber remains legally cleared for the moment, those who’ve feared the worst from self-driving cars will likely take a moment to say ‘I told you so.’ In fact, they already have.

What did you think of this story? Are self-driving cars a mistake, or the way of the future? Should greater regulations be put in place for self-driving vehicles, and should Uber be held responsible for incidents such as this one? Let us know in the comments!

Chris Evans May Be Done With The MCU After Avengers 4

Marvel Studios

It seems that Chris Evans may be looking to finally hang up the iconic Captain America shield and leave behind the role of the leading Avenger, according to a new interview with The New York Times. So, what does this mean for Steve Rogers’ fate in the upcoming Avengers films?

For the past seven years, actor Chris Evans has been playing the star-spangled Avenger since his first appearance in 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger and now it seems like he may finally be done with the role for good. Evans’ original contract for the Marvel films is set to end with the untitled fourth Avengers film and his interview with The New York Times seems to show he doesn’t want to return for more.

Quoted saying, “you want to get off the train before they push you off,” Evans’ is making it clear that the upcoming reshoots for Avengers 4 may very well be his last time donning the suit and shield. By the time Avengers 4 hits theaters, Chris Evans will have shown up in nine Marvel Studios films (including small cameos made in Thor: The Dark World, Ant-Man Spider-Man: Homecoming), so we can’t blame the guy for wanting to take a break and try something different.

The acclaimed and well-liked actor has said in the past that the role of Captain America would likely be his last mainstream “big” role and wants to focus his time behind the screen and direct more. His first directorial debut came in 2014 with the release of Before We Go, in which he starred in with Alice Eve.

Since Avengers: Infinity War is currently being seen as “the beginning of the end” of Marvel Studios films as we know it, it’s very well possible that we could see Steve Rogers meeting a fateful end in one of the upcoming Avengers films. The latest trailer for Avengers: Infinity War shows Captain America facing off against the mad titan Thanos with things not looking too good for America’s Number One Avenger.

If Evans does end up stepping down from the role of Captain America, it wouldn’t be too crazy for someone we’ve already met on-screen to take up the mantle of the Cap. In the comics, we’ve seen Bucky Barnes (played by Sebastian Stan in the MCU) and Sam Wilson (played by Anthony Mackie on-screen) become Captain America, so it is not outside the realm of possibility for this to happen on-screen as well!

Marvel Studios

Whether or not Chris Evans returns to the role of Captain America in future Marvel films is still unclear, but what we do know is that Chris Hemsworth seems very keen to return to the role of Thor especially after the fantastic success of Thor: Ragnarok.

Avengers: Infinity War opens only in theaters on April 27th, 2018.

Got a bill that’s big enough to twist the Tiger’s tail,
Husk some corn and listen to the Cornhusker’s wail,
‘Cause I’m a Jay, Jay, Jay, Jay Jayhawk,

A 20-year-old woman, Brianna Ashanti Lofton, of Raleigh, North Carolina, was arrested after she became the subject of a viral Facebook video which showed a one-year-old baby smoking a marijuana cigarillo.

What happened?

According to News & Observer, Lofton was originally accused of “causing, encouraging and aiding a one-year-old child to smoke a marijuana blunt” in the original arrest warrant issued against her.

Eventually, according to the City of Raleigh’s online records, the Raleigh Police Department’s public information records issued the following statements:

“Raleigh Police Department officers have arrested Brianna Ashanti Lofton (DOB 10/20/97), the mother of the baby seen smoking in a video posted on Facebook. She was charged with two counts of Felony Child Abuse, Contributing to Delinquency, and Possession of Marijuana, and transported to the Wake County Detention Center. The baby has been placed with Wake County Child Protective Services.”

“Raleigh residents and others began posting the video and comments on the Department’s Facebook page just after 9:30 a.m. today. ‘We appreciate the public’s help in this matter,’ said RPD Lieutenant Jason Hodge. ‘We welcome and encourage any assistance the public is willing to give us at all times.'”

Who is Brianna Ashanti Lofton?

According to The New York Post, in an article issued by the Associate Press, the version of the viral video which garnered around 1.5 million views was not uploaded by Lofton, but an individual identified as Rasheed Martin of Rochester New York, who had been trying to find the identity of the woman who appears in the video. Reportedly, a friend had shared an alternate version of the video with him; Martin and Lofton do not know each other in real life, as he only wanted her held responsible for the video, as he explained in the following statement during an online interview:

“Once more and more people found out about this situation, they showed me a screenshot of her actual Facebook page.”

“Then I later added it to the post so everyone could know exactly who … did that to the poor little girl.”

As The New York Post explained, the woman and child who appear in the video are believed to be mother and daughter. With Lofton currently in police custody, the child is said to be safe, having been placed with the county’s child protective services department.

Although the substance the child was smoking in the video was not immediately clear, Lofton is currently being charged with marijuana possession and two counts of felony child abuse. Lofton is currently being held on a $100,000 bond.

All Hail Our Own Purdue!

When In After Years We’re Turning,
Alma Mater, Back To You.
May Our Hearts With Love Be Yearning
For The Scenes Of Old Purdue.
Back Among Your Pathways Winding

While We Sing Of Days Of Yore.

Sung only by the band at special events
In the Band we March and Swagger
As we Play for Old Purdue
At the Halftime we do Shows
