By later 2016, after Trump became the president-elect, it was announced that Hicks would join the Trump Administration, as the White House Director of Strategic Communications, a position created for her. The following year, it was announced that she was appointed permanent White House Communications Director on September 12, 2017. One fan, Kalpanaben Kodekar, told reporters that she had journeyed all the way from the Indian state of Gujarat to see Sridevi “one last time.” Ms. Kodekar also said, “I’m really grateful that they allowed us inside and not just the celebrities. We’ll always feel the void Sridevi’s departure has created.”

A 26-year-old Florida middle school teacher has been arrested for having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old boy. On Wednesday, Stephanie Peterson, a former eighth-grade teacher at New Smyrna Beach Middle School, has been arrested and charged on two counts of lewd or lascivious battery and one count of transmission of harmful materials to a minor. According to the press release, the alleged abuse began after Peterson allegedly sent the student naked photos.

On Tuesday, February 27th, the 14-year-old victim was first interviewed by police officer after he had informed his parents about the alleged sexual abuse. A day earlier, Ms. Peterson had resigned from his job at New Smyrna Beach Middle School, citing “personal reasons.” Peterson is also accused of supplying the boy with marijuana and a bowl (pipe) to smoke it, according to the sheriff’s statement.

The illicit relationship between Peterson and the boy allegedly began in November 2017, as the boy informed authorities that the accused would pick him up at his home at around 11 P.M. and then drop him off at 1 A.M. or 2 A.M.

Stephanie Peterson has been arrested and is now being held on $25,000 bond.

Stephanie Peterson is a former eighth-grade teacher at New Smyrna Beach Middle School. On February 28th, she was arrested and charged on two counts of lewd or lascivious battery and one count of transmission of harmful materials to a minor. She is being accused of having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old student.

The relationship is believed to have started in November. A detective responded to the victim’s family’s home Tuesday after the student disclosed the relationship to his parents. The student, an 8th grader, told detectives Peterson would send him nude photos. He said she started coming to his home at night, picking him up around 11 p.m. on several occasions and bringing him back around 1 or 2 a.m.

The victim reported that Peterson told him they couldn’t tell anyone about their relationship or they’d get in trouble. He also said she bought him marijuana and bowls for smoking it, and his grades suffered after their relationship started.

A school district spokeswoman told The Daytona Beach News-Journal that Peterson first began working in the district as a substitute teacher in October 2010. Peterson then went on to work as a  reading teacher with the Creekside Middle School in Port Orange before securing a job at New Smyrna Middle School in August 2016 as a science teacher. The spokeswoman said that Peterson resigned, citing “personal” reasons.

According to The Daytona Beach News-Journal, Peterson was in the process of a divorce with a firefighter. She had married firefighter Brandon Ferri in New Smyrna Beach on December 5, 2015. On February 12th of this year, divorce papers were filed. She is being represented in the divorce by her father attorney Philip Peterson, according to another News-Journal article.

Ferri has yet to comment on his estranged wife or her allegations/charges. He has recently deleted his Facebook page, but according to a report from Heavy, Ferri is an EMT with the Deland Fire Department. He is also appears to be a fishing enthusiast, who runs fishing expeditions in New Smyrna Beach. According to fishingbooker.com, Ferri has lived in the area his entire life and “has operated his own boat on Mosquito Lagoon since the age of 15.”

Philip Peterson is the father and attorney of Stephanie Peterson. He works as a private practice lawyer with DeLoach and Peterson law firm in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. His bio states that “Phil has built and earned a reputation for integrity, zealous representation, efficiency, and results.”

Illinois Department of Corrections

An ex-student at Montessori School of Lake Forest has sued the school after claiming a teacher, Celina Montoya, engaged in a long-running “illegal sexual relationship” with him. The former student also alleges that Montoya sent him nude photographs.

Celina Montoya, 43 was convicted of criminal sexual assault of a child between the ages of 13 and 17 and was sentenced to four years in prison in 2016. According to Lake County Circuit court records, she is currently serving time at the Logan Correctional Center near Springfield.

The suit anonymously filed in Lake County last week claims that school officials allowed Montoya to have prolonged periods of time alone with the student, which she used to “manipulate” him into “in an inappropriate and illegal sexual relationship.”

The suit, which also names Montoya as a defendant, says she hugged and kissed the boy at the school’s campus in Grayslake, engaged in romantic and sexually explicit conversations with him, told him she planned to marry him and sent him sexually explicit text messages, including nude photos of herself.

Lake County court records indicate Montoya was accused of having sexual contact with the victim at least 14 times between February 2012 and September 2013. She was indicted in 2015 on 14 counts of criminal sexual assault of a victim age 13 to 17, and three additional counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

Upon her conviction for criminal sexual assault, she was required to register as a sex offender. According to the lawsuit, Montoya’s relationship with the victim began in the fall of 2011 when he was 13 and in eighth grade and continued through the fall of 2013, when he told a therapist about the relationship and it was reported to police.

This is the latest in a string of teacher sex scandals over the last couple of years. In November, Tennessee teacher Janet Smothers was arrested. Former nutrition teacher LaToya Parker was also arrested for a relationship with a student. Florida teacher Caroline Lawson was charged with sexual assault. 26-year-old Allyson Moran was also arrested for similar crimes. The 23-year-old high school teacher Katherine Ross Ridenhour was also arrested for an inappropriate relationship.

Furthermore, Hunter Day, 22, was also arrested after a sting operation. Megan Kotarski was also arrested on similar charges. Michelle Schiffer, a 23-year-old history teacher in Texas, was also charged and arrested for allegedly having sex with a teenage student. 29-year-old Alyssia Marie Reddy was arrested in Maryland for her crimes in New Jersey. Samantha Fitzgerland, a 28-year-old, was most recently arrested and charged. Jordan Ondish was arrested for her inappropriate relationship with a 19-year-old, while 28-year-old Samantha Fitzpatrick was arrested on similar charges.

Nicole Marie Andrews was arrested as well. 32-year-old Jessica Langford was arrested and charged with sexual assault-related crimes as well. A teacher from Oregon, Andrea Baber, was accused of having a sexual relationship with a student.  Robin Dunlap, a teacher in Florida, was arrested for sending illicit photos to a 15-year-old boy in Texas. Teacher and tennis coach Jennifer Olajire-Aro was also charged. 42-year-old Heather Butts of California was arrested on a second-degree felony charge. Nancy Leigh Ann Brann, a former Christian school teacher, was arrested for having sex with a student. Coine Audiat pleaded no contest to having sex with a minor in 2016. 23-year-old Darci Lake was arrested for an inappropriate relationship.

Wesley JaMarr Johnson, born July 11, 1987, was an American professional basketball player who played college basketball for Syracuse and Iowa State before he was selected with the fourth overall pick in the 2010 NBA draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Drafted by the Timberwolves, Johnson spent two seasons in Minnesota before being traded to the Phoenix Suns. Johnson played for Phoenix for one year before heading to the Los Angeles Lakers for another two seasons, before finally ending up on the Los Angeles Clippers, the last team he would ever play for.

On Wednesday, February 28, while playing in a game for the Los Angeles Clippers, Johnson’s soul was removed from his body by likely-league MVP James Harden.

Pickerington High School North in Ohio has been evacuated due to a bomb threat. Police are asking parents to stay away from the school as first responders do their job.

As a result of the threat, classes have been canceled and students are being bused home. The students were evacuated to Lakeview Junior High and they will be bussed home from there.

In fact, New Orleans, the largest entry port for Irish immigrants, hosts parades right after Mardi Gras, sometimes even reusing the floats! Even Americans who don’t have the opportunity to celebrate with lavish parties and such can celebrate in one simple way: wearing green!

Ricki Noel Lander, the 38-year-old girlfriend of New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, reportedly gave birth to a baby last fall. While Kraft and Lander have been dating for about four years, Kraft says that the child is not his.

Lander is almost 40 years younger than Kraft and 16 years younger than his oldest son.

Kraft bought the New England Patriots for $172 million in 1994, which at the time, was the highest price ever paid for an NFL team. The Patriots now have a reported value of nearly $4 billion.

The reigning king of Wakanda, superhero and all-around great guy stopped by The Tonight Show on February 28th to talk with Jimmy Fallon about Black Panther, its massive success at the box office, the great critical reactions and, perhaps most importantly, the impact it has had today’s culture.

It’s no secret that the film has been held in very high regard because it is really the first big blockbuster film with a majority black cast and directed by a black director. Many people have called it one of the most important films of the year and even people that have said they’re suffering from “superhero fatigue” can agree that this movie is not only great, but its cultural significance is massive as well.

On the February 28th episode of The Tonight Show, where Boseman was a guest, Fallon had some fans speak about what the movie meant to them and why it was so important. Little did they know but Boseman was hiding behind a curtain to surprise the fans. Needless to say, their reactions were priceless.

“To see this movie made me realize that our stories need to be told. There’s so many of us out here who are trying to create great things and I was just so inspired” said one fan.

Not only was this impactful for African-Americans but also especially for black women who were held in such high regard in the movie. “They were so strong on their own terms and answered to no one but themselves and I think that’s just so important. They weren’t strong because they were angry, they weren’t strong because they were hurt, they were strong because they were strong” said another fan.

Cumberland County College in New Jersey is on lockdown after reports of a “hostile intruder.” There is no word on if the intruder is armed, the school’s alert merely said “hostile.”

A message on the Cumberland County College’s website reads: “Secure yourself in a safe location. Remain in a safe location until additional instructions are received. Silence any mobile devices. If you are not on campus please stay away.”

The Cumberland County Technical Education Center and Inspira Medical Center Vineland have also been placed on lockdown. According to The Daily Journal, an alarm is sounding on campus and a loudspeaker message is urging people to stay away from campus and silence cell phones.

Millville police Lt. Ross Hoffman said the lockdown was ordered by the Vineland Police Department around 9:20 a.m.

An employee of the hospital reported her ex-husband called to say he had shot himself and was walking on foot to the medical facility, which prompted the lockdown, Hoffman said. The college and high school were locked down due to their proximity to the hospital, Hoffman said.

Police do not believe the man is in the area, but the whole area is being searched, Hoffman said. Vineland police confirmed they were looking for a man, possibly from Millville.

Police in neighboring Millville told NBC Philadelphia that the lockdown is due to a situation in Millville and that the incident is not happening on the CCC campus.

The school is asking those on campus to remain in hiding, and those not on campus to stay away.

There is no information about or description of the intruder at this time.

Quentin Tarantino has been in the news a lot lately for all the wrong reasons. Leonardo DiCaprio was already confirmed to star, but now Brad Pitt has officially joined the cast as well. DiCaprio and Pitt have both worked with Tarantino before, DiCaprio in 2012’s Django Unchained and Pitt in 2009’s Inglorious Basterds. Needless to say, we are pumped to see what these three can cook up together cause based on their track record, it could truly be something special.

Sony Pictures officially announced the film, titled Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, on February 28th and also revealed the plot.

“A story that takes place in Los Angeles in 1969, at the height of hippy Hollywood. The two lead characters are Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio), former star of a Western TV series, and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt). Both are struggling to make it in a Hollywood they don’t recognize anymore. But Rick has a very famous next-door neighbor…Sharon Tate.”

Sharon Tate is, of course, the most infamous victim of the Manson Family murders which took place in 1969. It’s been known for awhile that Tarantino’s next film would revolve around these killings, but the director made sure to stress that this wasn’t a film about Charles Manson.

It will definitely be interesting to see how all of this comes together in preparation for the movie’s August 2019 release.

I’ve written a lot of articles about a lot of Greek Life organizations getting suspended for hazing over the years, but rarely, if ever, is it a sorority.

Yes, we all know sororities haze pledges the same way that girls haze each other in regular life (mentally, emotionally, etc), but I don’t think I’ve ever written about an example extreme enough that it actually got the sorority suspended. I’m kind of like … a little impressed?

According to CBS, approximately 12 pledges spoke with investigators about possible hazing at the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority at the University of Pittsburgh. The investigation was opened after one of the pledge’s mothers who noticed bruises on her. The university has since placed Alpha Kappa Alpha on interim suspension.

The mother who contacted police said she was visiting her daughter when the younger woman told her she had been involved in sorority hazing of pledges, Penn Hills Police Chief Howard Burton said.

The mother, her daughter and the other students met with police on Monday, but Burton said he has not determined whether a crime occurred or charges should be filed. A message left at the sorority’s national headquarters seeking their comment on the complaint was not immediately returned.

Burton said the girls were taken to the basement of a private home in Penn Hills, about 10 miles from campus. The chief told CBS Pittsburgh that a mother of one of the alleged victims wanted to report the ladies being hazed by other women on Feb. 21 and Feb. 23, 2018.

On Thursday, March 1, the university said that Alpha Kappa Alpha is suspended until further notice.

Furthermore, Kenyon Bonner, the Dean of Students at the University of Pittsburgh, said that as a result of the incident, the school will be reviewing its policies on fraternities and sororities.

Bonner released a full statement to the school’s fraternities and sororities, which you can read below:

Dear fraternity and sorority community,

I am disappointed to inform you that law enforcement is investigating an alleged incident of hazing within our
fraternity and sorority community. Pending the completion of the investigation, the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority (Iota chapter) has been placed on Interim Suspension of Recognition, while our entire Greek Life community remains on modified social probation because of a prior reported incident.

This most recent incident, involving Alpha Kappa Alpha, is an opportunity for me to be clear about our zero tolerance for hazing at Pitt. Hazing includes any action or situation which recklessly or intentionally endangers the mental or physical health or safety of a student. Hazing is destructive, demeaning, and demoralizing and has no place on our campus. Any student found responsible for hazing, regardless of the severity, could be dismissed from the University.

Should this occur, the dismissed student can never return to any University of Pittsburgh campus. Student organizations found responsible for hazing will face similar consequences, including permanent termination of recognition on our campus.

As members of our Pitt community, students are granted many rights and privileges. However, such privileges are, not unconditional. We have placed our trust in you, as Pitt Panthers, to act responsibly, to treat others with respect, and to practice care and compassion for one another. We are a community that promotes mutual respect, dignity and genuine concern for the well-being and safety of others, and we will not tolerate behavior on our campus that directly opposes our most basic institutional values.

As a community, we must actively respond to these types of behavior—and our response must extend beyond words and sanctions. We must all step up, speak up and accept the challenge of defining or even redefining our community. Based on this incident, the Division of Student Affairs will reevaluate the next steps regarding the future of fraternity and sorority life at Pitt. In the meantime, the modified social probation will remain in effect.

While incidents such as this remind us that there is still work to be done, I embrace this challenge as an opportunity to bring about real change. We are better than this, and now is the time for you and your organizations to join me in holding yourselves and each other accountable to effect positive change. I commend students for bringing concerns about hazing to our attention. We will continue to investigate all allegations and to hold responsible individuals accountable for their choices and actions.

Just four days after facing off in the Carabao Cup Final, Arsenal and Manchester City are going head-to-head to wrap up the Premier League’s Matchweek 28.

Arsène Wenger is a French soccer manager and a former player of the sport. While a lot of people want to pursue a career in sports, they often learn the hard way that they need to have started young. While Wenger faced this issue back when he was a player, he was later able to prove himself off of the field, becoming a manager for various teams. Upon becoming the manager for Arsenal, he ended up one of the team’s most successful and longest-running managers. Let’s take a look at his career over the years, starting with his net worth!

The Early Years

Wenger was born in Strasbourg and raised in Duttlenheim. He was introduced to the world of soccer through his father, who managed a local village team. Even at a young age, he often saw games in Germany, becoming a fan of Borussia Mönchengladbach. Since Duttlenheim has a low population, there were problems forming a team of equal ages, meaning Wenger did not play for FC Duttlenheim until he was 12. in 1969, Wenger was recruited to Mutzig, a nearby third division club, at the age of 20. At the time, it was thought he entered the game too old to make a lasting career out of playing soccer and would eventually go on to take over his family’s spare parts business.

1971-1981

In 1971, he enrolled at the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences at the University of Strasbourg, studying politics and economics after a brief stint in medicine. In 1973, he joined the semi-professional club, Mulhouse, balancing his soccer career with his education, completing his economics degree in 1974. While at Mulhouse, he was selected to the national French students’ squad but missed the event due to an injury. In 1975, he left Mulhouse over stress from the commute, signing on for amateur club ASPV Strasbourg as a midfielder. In 1978, Wenger joined RC Strasbourg, appointed by Max Hild, who he met as while player under Mutzig, to work with the youth team. Spending the last two years of his playing career essentially running RC Strasbourg’s reserve and youth team, he also furthered his education, earning his coaching bade at the Centre de Ressources, d’expertise et de Performance Sportives in Strasbourg. In 1981, he also obtained his manager’s diploma in Paris.

1982-1994

In 1984, Wegner got his start in his managerial career, becoming the manager of Association Sportive Nancy-Lorraine, a French association football club based in Nancy, Lorraine. Staying with them until around the 1985–86 season, he was contracted by AS Monaco to become their manager, confirmed in the position by 1987. Proving that his appointment was a benefit to Monaco, towards the end of his run, he was sought after by German club Bayern Munich, although Monaco initially refused to let him leave until dismissing him in late 1994.

1994-2009

Wenger traveled to the United Arab Emirates after his dismissal from Monaco and was responsible for analyzing the 1994 World Cup. By the end of the year, Wenger agreed to become manager of Nagoya Grampus Eight, a Japanese association football club, with a two-year contract. In 1996, Wenger joined with Arsenal, a soccer club based in London. Proving successful in this role, Wenger became one of the longest-serving managers for the club, with three league titles and four FA Cups to his name.

2010-Present

In 2010, Wenger signed a three-year contract extension. His £7.5m-a-year salary, which ran until 2014, was also believed to be the highest in Britain. At the end of the season, he signed on to another three-year extension with Arsenal. In 2017, Wenger became the most successful manager in the history of the FA Cup as Arsenal beat Premier League winners Chelsea 2–1 at Wembley, earning another extension until 2019.

On March 1st, Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly announced that his oral cancer had unfortunately returned.

He was first diagnosed with the disease back in 2013 and had surgery to remove cancerous tissue in 2014 and was eventually declared cancer-free in 2016. It looks like Kelly is up for another battle as the cancer had unfortunately returned.

The Buffalo Bills, Kelly’s former team, tweeted a statement from Kelly and his family this morning, saying:

“As our family has faced many trials and triumphs throughout the years, you have blessed us with your prayers. We are asking for those prayers once again. The oral cancer we hoped would be gone forever has returned. Although I was shocked and deeply saddened to receive this news, I know God is with me. I continuously talk with the four F’s: Faith, Family, Friends and Fans. With all of you by my side, we will fight and win this battle together. Staying ‘Kelly Tough’ and trusting God will carry us through this difficult time.”

Kelly was voted to the Hall of Fame in 2002 as a reflection of his stellar career in the NFL, helping lead the Bills to four straight Super Bowl appearances. Kelly played all 11 seasons of his career with the Bills, was a four-time AFC champion and was voted to the Pro Bowl five times.

Robert Kraft’s 38-year-old girlfriend Ricki Noel Lander reportedly gave birth to a baby in secret during the fall of 2017. Kraft, the own of the New England Patriots and the MLS soccer team New England Revolution, says that the child is not his.  Lander and Kraft have been dating on and off since about 2014.

Lander, 38, is 38 years younger than Kraft, 76. She is also 16 years younger than Kraft’s oldest son.

There were rumors they had broken up, but we’re told dancer, model and actress Lander was in fact pregnant and wanted to stay out of the public eye. She gave birth to the child last year, multiple sources exclusively confirmed to Page Six.

Kraft, via a spokesman, told us “Last fall, Ricki Noel Lander became the proud mother of a beautiful, healthy baby. While Robert Kraft is not the biological father, he is thrilled with Ricki’s blessing of having a healthy child. With respect to her family’s privacy, we will not be commenting any further.”

One of the sources said, “Bob is fully supporting the child. There is a lot of tiptoeing around the subject at the Patriots offices. Everyone is afraid to openly talk about it.” The source added that Kraft’s four sons are anticipating that the Kraft family trust could be changed to provide for the child. In 2013, the sons asked to modify the three-decades-old family trust to give them more control over assets. The Massachusetts Supreme Court approved the move. Kraft’s spokesman also declined to comment on the trust.

A gas leak in Southeast Houston has caused eight or nine students to fall ill at the Young Women’s Preparatory Academy, according to a report from MySanAntonio.com. Multiple ambulances and EMTs have arrived on the scene. The Houston Fire Department initially reported a ‘mass casualty incident,’ indicating that more than 20 students were sickened by the gas leak, but a new assessment of the scene has reduced that number to eight or nine students who have fallen ill from the leak.

According to ABC13.com, so far at least two female students were seen being loaded into an ambulance. And according to the Houston Fire Department, they are between eight and nine other students being treated for headaches and nausea.

Parents are now being told to pick their children up at the school.

The Houston Fire Department sent out a tweet, which says “HFD Responded to a gas leak in the 1900 block of Cleburne. Incident is considered stable. Number of patients is now at eight or nine. Reports of nausea and headache. Plan is to transport as a precaution. School officials are contacting parents to pick up kids from school.”

The Houston Fire Department received a call around 11:20 a.m. about a gas leak at the Young Women’s College Preparatory Academy, at 1906 Cleburne. Shortly after noon, HFD considered the incident stable.

Once HFP arrived, paramedics loaded affected students onto stretchers while most of their classmates were ushered into a church across the street.

Many were crying, and some could be heard coughing.

The report initially came in as a “mass casualty” call, meaning more than 20 people were affected, HFD spokeswoman Sheldra Brigham said. Once they were assessed, the number fell to about eight or nine people affected.”

Where is Young Women’s Preparatory School?

Young Women’s Preparatory School is located at 1906 Cleburne Street in Houston, Texas. It is an middle and high school secondary school which only admits female students. This school first opened its door in 2011. It is part of the Houston Independent School District.

A gas leak occurred at this all-girl’s school, which has sickened eight or nine students, according to a report from MySanAntonio.com.

Initial reports suggested that more than 20 students have fallen ill due to the gas leak, according to HFD spokeswoman Sheldra Brigham. However, this number has since dropped down to between eight and nine students.
