Boston Radio Host Calls Tom Brady’s 5-Year-Old Daughter An “Annoying Pissant”

Boston radio host Alex Reimer is facing backlash for referring to New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady’s daughter as an “annoying pissant.”

While discussing the first episode of Brady’s new Facebook documentary Tom vs. Time, Reimer said of the show: “It was Patriots porn. I thought the first scene was so staged, where Brady is in the kitchen, his kid is being an annoying little pissant…”

According to ESPN’s Mike Reiss, Brady cut his weekly interview on WEEI short because he was disappointed to hear that Reimer made a disparaging remark about his five-year-old daughter while discussing Brady’s new Facebook documentary, Tom vs. Time.

“I’ve tried to come on this show for many years and showed you guys a lot of respect. I’ve always tried and come on and do a good job for you guys. It’s very disappointing when you hear [the comments about my daughter], certainly. My daughter, or any child, certainly don’t deserve that. I really don’t have much to say this morning. Maybe I’ll speak with you guys some other time,” Brady said on the program before hanging up.

Brady said he is currently determining whether or not he wants to appear on the show again.

Bill Parcells Net Worth 2018: How Much Is Bill Parcells Worth Now?

Bill Parcells is one of the greatest coaches to ever bless a football field, and the man has worked for more teams, college and pro’s than I can count. Bill is most known for his tenure with the New York Football Giants where he was able to capture his only two Super Bowl titles. The marriage between Bill and Football is a rocky one which involved a lot of “I’m done’s” but every time that happened within a year or two Bill would come back to the game he loved.

Bill Parcells Net Worth: $25 Million

Early years (1941-1963)

Instagram Photo

Bill, born Duane Charles Parcells, was born on 22 August 1941, in Englewood, New Jersey USA to his two parents Ida and Charles. Bill always had a fixation with sports and loved everything about them, growing up he developed into quite the Football, Basketball, and Baseball player at River Dell Regional High School in Oradell, New Jersey. What he lacked in athletic ability he made up for with his brain, being able to put himself in the right spot at the right time.

After Highschool Parcells was offered a contract with the Philadelphia Phillies, with disapproval coming from his father he decided to attend Colgate University in New York where he played football and studied Physical Education. His stay at Colgate University was a brief one (this will be a common trend) he transferred out of Colgate to the University of Wichita in Kansas where he played linebacker for the Shockers. After enjoying success on the field and off the field at Wichita, Bill not only graduated with his degree in Phys. Ed but was drafted in the 7th round by the Detroit Lions. Bill wasn’t there long either and was soon cut by the team in training camp. Bill, not done with football looked for different ways to stay involved with the game, then came the best decision he’s ever made.

College Coaching Years (1964-2007)

Right After being cut by the Lions Parcells instantly began looking into coaching, in 1964 he was appointed first assistant coach at Hastings College in Nebraska. After one year at Hastings Bill returned to his alma mater where he was an assistant head coach at Witchita St. Bill wasn’t there long either and continued to bounce around from school to school, he coached at Army, Florida State, Vanderbilt and Texas Tech in the following years. Bill was an assistant head coach for 14 years before finally landing his first head coaching job at Air Force in 1978. As you could have guessed Bill jumped ship after one short year, he was offered to be the New York Giants Defensive Coordinator, but Instead Bill took a hiatus from football altogether and joined a real estate company.

The NFL Comes Calling (1980-2007)

Instagram Photo

After a very brief career in real estate, Bill got the coaching bug again and ended up joining the New England Patriots as a Linebackers Coach in 1980. His stint as the LB’s coach was shorter than his real estate gig because in 1981 he accepted a job to become assistant head coach of the New York Giants. By the time 1983 rolled around Bill was promoted to head coach of the New York Giants. Bill enjoyed much success with the Giants, winning two Super Bowls (1987, 1991) and became one of the best minds in the game. Following the 1991 Super Bowl victory, Bill decided it was time to hang up the headset due to health concerns.

Despite not coaching Bill couldn’t stay away from football he began working as a football analyst for NBC Sports and even hosted the sports show “Around the NFL.” Like most other jobs Parcells held during his career the media job wouldn’t last long, in 1993 Bill accepted a job to become head coach of the New England Patriots. Parcells led the Pats to the 1996 Super Bowl, they came up short to the Green Bay Packers, but it was still a heck of a run. Following the loss, Parcells once again announced his retirement from coaching.

Once again Bill couldn’t stay away, taking the Head Coaching and General Manager of the New York Jets in 1996 where he took a team that was 1-13 to 9-7 and just missing a playoff berth. The next year Parcels had the Jets in the AFC Championship game where they ended up losing to the eventual Super Bowl Champion Denver Broncos. Following that game, Parcells took a year off of coaching but remained the teams General Manager. Bill Parcells retired for the 3rd time in 2000, and everyone thought this was it for the all-time great.

But of course, Bill wasn’t done yet, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones convinced the coaching legend to come out of retirement in 2000 and coach a Dallas team that didn’t seem to be going anywhere. Parcells came in, and the Cowboys instantly became contenders and made the playoffs twice under Bill who retired in 2007. This was Bill’s final coaching job in a long and storied career where he amassed an overall record of 172-130-1 in the regular season and 11-8 in the playoffs to cement his legacy as one of the greatest coaches of all time. He also became the only coach to ever lead four different franchises to the playoffs, a record I don’t see being broken anytime soon.

Life After Coaching (2008-present)

Instagram Photo

Despite retiring from coaching Parcells still wanted to remain in football, that’s when he accepted the job to become the Executive Vice-President of Football Operations of the Miami Dolphins. He was there for four years, and when his contract ran up, he walked away. He has not worked for any organizations since but did find a home with ESPN as an NFL analyst, but as the years have gone on you see less and less of the coach.

Parcells was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 2013; he gave a very moving 20-minute speech. I highly recommend you give this speech a listen.

Bill Parcells did publish a memoir in 2013 titled “Parcells: A Football Life,” written by former Sports Illustrated writer Nunyo Demasio. This was a great read and very much attributed to Parcells current wealth.

Week 13, College Basketball Picks 2018: Spread & Predictions

Aside from the Virginia Cavaliers and possibly the Purdue Boilermakers, there are hardly any programs that look the part of a National Title contender. With that being said, there is still plenty of time for many of these highly talented albeit noticeably flawed programs to rectify their weaknesses so that they can make a competitive run in the NCAA Tournament. Of course, besides the obviously elite programs that exist, there is a multitude of dark horse programs from lesser-known conferences that have a strong chance of making a splash in the postseason. Programs such as Cincinnati and Wichita State are quietly honing their respective skill sets and could quite possibly surprise college basketball fans and pundits alike in a little over a month. Regardless of your rooting interests or convictions about where all of these unique and competitive programs currently stand, this is the time where college basketball becomes incredibly intriguing as March Madness approaches it’s highly anticipated start date.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs. Duke Blue Devils (4)

Although the Fighting Irish could be considered justifiably as a struggling program, they have actually been incredibly competitive during their current five-game losing streak (all five losses were by single digits). With a strong defense (65.9 PAPG) that is tenacious when robbing the opposition of opportunities (seven SPG), the Fighting Irish have been able to be highly competitive in spite of their anemic offense (76.6 PPG). While the Blue Devils are coming off of a devastating loss to the Virginia Cavaliers, this is still a program that is exceptional offensively. On top of that, the Blue Devils defense has been steadily improving and they have proven to be particularly capable of taking away high percentage shots when they are in a 2-3 zone. Even though the Fighting Irish are known for playing Duke tough every year, the Blue Devils are loaded with talented athletes that are playing well enough on defense to allow their prolific offense to work its magic in what should be a bounce-back win.

Final Score: Fighting Irish 74 Blue Devils 84 Spread: Duke -14.5

Kansas Jayhawks (7) vs. Kansas State Wildcats

More often than not, it has been fairly easy to buy into the notion that the Jayhawks are once again an elite program that is simply working through some kinks en route to the NCAA Tournament. While their offense has proven to be highly proficient for the most part, there have been some occasions where the Jayhawks have quickly relinquished a double-digit lead and are forced to make clutch shots down the stretch to win. Although the Wildcats are certainly envious of the Jayhawks electric playmaking capabilities, they are also content with their much more methodical and consistent style of basketball. Underrated defensively (66.6 PAPG) the Wildcats are tenacious when it comes to taking the ball away from their opponent (eight SPG). Despite a less than great offense (76 PPG), the Wildcats do take high-percentage shots consistently although at a much slower pace than most programs do. Although the Jayhawks have the personnel and coaching to take it to Kansas State, the Wildcats have looked like the more consistent program over the last couple of weeks and should be able to shock the Jayhawks by controlling time of possession while making the most of their opportunities near the basket.

Final Score: Jayhawks 75 Wildcats 78 Spread: Kansas -1.5

Baylor Bears vs. Oklahoma Sooners (12)

Losing five of their last six games, the Baylor Bears have been victims of losing tight games to great teams (four of their last five losses were by 10 points or less). Although the Bears have the size of a potent rebounding team, they lack a consistent defense with which to hold off their respective opponents. Ultimately, the Bears have what it takes to win against anyone that they play, they just have to be disciplined and focused during crunch time. Conversely, the Sooners have an established identity as an elite scoring team that for whatever refuses to play anything that resembles decent defense. While a win over Kansas last week was impressive, the Sooners are just as susceptible to going cold offensively and allowing the likes of Alabama to take advantage of their putrid defense. As this is a Big 12 contest, it should be a fairly close affair with both programs scoring in bunches throughout. However, the Sooners offense is much more gifted, which will allow them to win a close game in the end.

Final Score: Bears 81 Sooners 86 Spread:

Penn State Nittany Lions vs. Michigan State Spartans (5)

Although a 15-8 record would be unimpressive for most programs, for the Nittany Lions, it is an impressive accomplishment as this program has been marred by one throwaway season after another. Thanks to their efficient and opportunistic defense (66.8 PAPG, six BPG, eight SPG), the Nittany Lions have been anything but a cupcake conference opponent. Obviously, the Spartans could not be more different from their respective opponent. Not only do they have the pedigree of a highly successful program, they also have the exceptional athletes and coaching to be near or at the top of the Big 10 standings every season. However, the Spartans have not always looked like the best team within their conference as they needed some crucial stops and scores in crunch time to take out Maryland on Sunday. While the Nittany Lions proved that they can compete with and defeat reputable opponents as they took out Ohio State last week, the Spartans pose way too many problems on offense and defense for Penn State to deal with consistently.

Final Score: Nittany Lions 68 Spartans 82 Spread:

Louisville Cardinals vs. Virginia Cavaliers (2)

Despite losing their head coach and one of their star recruits due to another scandal, the Cardinals have actually held their own in the ACC. Although their overall numbers on offense and defense do not jump off the stat sheet as being particularly impressive, they have played nearly all of their opponents tough regardless of whether they win or lose. If the Cardinals can find ways to score more consistently, they could be a late-blooming program that makes a splash in the ACC Tournament. Of course, the historically great defense of the Cavaliers has rarely faltered this season and just came off a thrilling victory against one of the best offensive program in the country in the Blue Devils. While the Cardinals have to be given a tremendous amount of credit for playing better than most expected them to, they really don’t stand a chance against a Cavaliers program that could arguably be considered the best team in college basketball.

Final Score: Cardinals 56 Cavaliers 71 Spread:

Houston Cougars vs. Cincinnati Bearcats (8)

A contest that could hover under the radar because it pits two teams from the American Conference against each other, the Cougars against the Bearcats could realistically be a defensive grudge match worth watching. Holding their last two opponents to under 60 points scored, the Cougars have gone from being a very good defensive program to a great one that can shut down prolific offenses consistently (see the win against Wichita State). However, while the Cougars should be praised for their resilience, the incredibly consistent Bearcats have hardly received any praise for their legendary accomplishments on defense (56.2 PAPG). On top of what they do on defense, the Bearcats are fantastic at attacking the glass (40.3 RPG) and can actually move the ball fairly fluidly to their open shooters (16.7 APG). Undoubtedly, this will be a tight and low scoring affair, with both teams relying heavily on their defenses to get the crucial stops they need to win. However, the Bearcats are a bit better at rebounding, an aspect that will allow them to get the extra opportunities necessary for them to win down the stretch.

Final Score: Cougars 60 Bearcats 64 Spread:

Creighton Blue Jays vs. Villanova Wildcats (1)

By the end of the regular season, the Crieghton Blue Jays will either be near the top of or at the very bottom of the Big East standings. Although their offense is highly productive and unselfish (86.5 PPG, 18.5 APG), their defense has let them down on several occasions (72.9 PAPG). However, when it comes to competing against another program that plays their same style, the Blue Jays always have a great chance to come out on top. While the loss of guard Phil Booth is detrimental to the Wildcats from a scoring perspective, it also deprives them of a versatile player that can both rebound and play defense effectively. Worse still, the Wildcats lack the necessary depth to replace Booth, an aspect that will come back to bite them against legitimate competition. As the Blue Jays are the healthier team with a gifted offense, I have to give them a slight edge over a Wildcats program that is most likely going to sustain some losses against some of the better opponents in their conference.

Final Score: Blue Jays 86 Wildcats 80 Spread:

Texas Tech Red Raiders (10) vs. TCU Horned Frogs

At one point, it appeared that the Red Raiders had gone completely cold defensively as they lost three of four games during a two week period. However, Texas Tech has since rebounded convincingly as they recently dispatched both Oklahoma State and South Carolina, two unranked programs that are capable of scoring the basketball consistently. Similar to the Sooners, the Horned Frogs have been the victims of poor defensive play, which has effectively overshadowed their impressive capabilities on offense (86.6 PPG, 77.5 PAPG) Granted, the Horned Frogs were able to do enough defensively to take down West Virginia last week, but that victory appeared to be more of an anomaly than an actual sign of things to come. Although it’s possible that the Horned Frogs could find a way to suppress the average offense of the Red Raiders, Texas Tech has proven to be resilient on defense throughout the season and will most likely be able to prevent TCU from doing anything productive offensively.

Final Score: Red Raiders 77 Horned Frogs 69 Spread:

BYU Cougars vs. Gonzaga Bulldogs (14)

Fair or unfair, these two programs are only allowed to be featured in the limelight when they either play each other or Saint Mary’s. However, this is not to say that both BYU and Gonzaga are pretenders in any way from a competitive standpoint. Allowing just 65.3 points per game, the Cougars have done enough defensively to make up for an unproductive offense that has held this team back from being truly great (75.4 PPG). Although Gonzaga has an average defense (69.7 PAPG), it has been their exceptional offense that has allowed them to be highly competitive within and outside of their conference. Adept at both rebounding (40.2 RPG) and moving the ball (17.1 APG), the Bulldogs are highly capable of garnering extra opportunities and usually make the most of them on the offensive end of the court. While the Cougars have the strong defense needed to keep this contest close, Gonzaga simply has too much firepower on offense for the Cougars to overcome in the end.

Final Score: Cougars 73 Bulldogs 79 Spread:

Arizona Wildcats (9) vs. Washington Huskies

Currently, atop of the standings in the Pac-12, the Arizona Wildcats have impressively overcome their early season woes to become one of the best offensive programs in the country (81.7 PPG). With four of their five starters averaging double-digit points per game, the Wildcats have a plethora of prolific scorers that are highly accurate when shooting from within the arch (50.9 FG% as a team). While the Washington Huskies are currently third in the conference standings, they have rarely been featured in the national spotlight. While they are average to poor on offense and defense from a statistical perspective, they have been able to play well enough late in games to overcome some of their obvious deficiencies. Although the Wildcats would be remiss to overlook the vastly underrated Huskies, Arizona has enough talent and notable shooters to stave off any late-game heroics that Washington attempts to execute down the stretch of this contest.

Final Score: Wildcats 87 Huskies 82 Spread:

Unlike last week, there was a little less shakeup and movement in the rankings this week. Although the Kentucky Wildcats made a noticeable jump from unranked to 21st after taking out West Virginia on Saturday, most of the programs in the rankings either remained at their current position or moved just slightly. However, while they remained at the same spot that they held last week, the defensively adept Virginia Cavaliers made a strong case for themselves as being the best team in college basketball after defeating both Clemson and Duke last week. While it is understandable that the Wildcats were not demoted as they did not lose, the Cavaliers are clearly trending upwards and will unquestionably claim the top spot in the rankings if the Wildcats lose this week.

Top 25 College Basketball Rankings 2018: Week 13

Amongst the programs that sustained devastating losses, there was not a drop nearly as precipitous compared to that of the North Carolina Tar Heels. Losing to both Virginia Tech and NC State last week, the Tar Heels were severely exposed as being overly reliant on Luke Maye and Joel Berry for their offensive production. On top of that, the progressively improving defense of the Tar Heels took a major step back as they relinquished 91 points to NC State in a loss. While there is still time for the Tar Heels to persevere and make up for their egregious failures, they need to do so quickly if they hope to make a push for an ACC title by the end of the season.

Currently undefeated in conference play, the Virginia Cavaliers made an extremely compelling case for themselves to be officially ranked as the top team in the country. Although the Wildcats have not faltered since losing guard Phil Booth for the season, Villanova is definitely walking a shaky tightrope as they attempt to replace one of the better two-way players on their roster. Will the elite defense of the Cavaliers do enough this week to force themselves into the top spot of the AP Poll?

The University of Pittsburgh has suspended the Sigma Chi fraternity after a student was hospitalized in an “alcohol-related incident.” The school also temporarily barred all Greek life organizations from hosting events with alcohol

University of Pittsburgh officials did not release specific details about what caused the student to be hospitalized and declined to comment on the student’s current condition.

While the school did not identify which fraternity had been suspended, Sigma Chi’s national office said in a statement that the University of Pittsburgh chapter has been suspended for apparently violating alcohol and drug policies.

via Pittsburgh Post-Gazette:

Vice Provost and Dean of Students Kenyon Bonner declined to be interviewed, and an office employee referred calls to university marketing and media relations officials. Joseph Miksch, one of those officials, released a late-day statement largely rehashing the university’s already stated position but including no specifics about the incident, nor anything about the unidentified student’s condition.

An official at Sigma Chi’s international headquarters in Evanston, Ill., however, identified its chapter at Pitt as the one involved.

“Sigma Chi International Fraternity is aware of the incident that took place with our chapter at the University of Pittsburgh in which they apparently violated several provisions of our policy on alcohol and drugs,” fraternity executive director Michael Church stated in an email. “We have placed the chapter on interim suspension while we investigate the nature of the incident.

According to the school’s website, the university has 39 total fraternities and sororities.

This is the latest fraternity suspension at a major university in the past year, as schools have begun cracking down on Greek Life since the death of Timothy Piazza at Penn State. Major univerties such as the University of Michigan, Ohio State, and Florida State have suspended fraternities in the last year.

Renee Rine, a former Nevada math teacher, was arrested allegedly for having an inappropriate relationship with one of her students.

Rine, 36, who was teaching at West Career and Technical Academy, was arrested on Friday, January 26. She’s being held without bond at the Clark County Detention Center.

She faces five charges, including being a school employee in a position of authority engaging in sexual conduct with a pupil 16 or older, first-degree attempted kidnapping to engage in sex, lewdness with a child who is 14 or 15 years old, contact with a minor or mentally-ill person and child abuse or neglect.

via KTNV:

The arrest was made after an investigation that was initiated at West Career and Technical Academy. The charges against Rine include one felony count of attempted kidnapping, one felony count of lewdness with a minor age 14 to 15, one gross misdemeanor count of child abuse, one felony count of sexual misconduct with people, and one gross misdemeanor count of unlawful contact with a minor.

According to a briefing video from the Clark County School District Police, the investigation began after students alerted staff they saw inappropriate text messages on a 17-year-old students cell phone. Police say during the 2015-2016 school year, Rine sent sexual pictures and sexual text messages to the student. Police say Rine tried to lure the student to a local hotel during that time.

CCSD Police Department investigation substantiated allegations that she had inappropriate contact with a student. Rine, who was hired by CCSD in August 2015, has been a math teacher at West Career and Technical Academy since that time.

Her employment with the Clark County School District is currently “assigned to home.”

This is the latest in a string of teacher sex scandals over the last couple of years. In November, Tennessee teacher Janet Smothers was arrested. Former nutrition teacher LaToya Parker was also arrested for a relationship with a student. Florida teacher Caroline Lawson was charged with sexual assault. 26-year-old Allyson Moran was also arrested for similar crimes. The 23-year-old high school teacher Katherine Ross Ridenhour was also arrested for an inappropriate relationship.

Megan Kotarski was also arrested on similar charges. Michelle Schiffer, a 23-year-old history teacher in Texas, was also charged and arrested for allegedly having sex with a teenage student. 29-year-old Alyssia Marie Reddy was arrested in Maryland for her crimes in New Jersey. Samantha Fitzgerland, a 28-year-old, was most recently arrested and charged. Jordan Ondish was arrested for her inappropriate relationship with a 19-year-old, while 28-year-old Samantha Fitzpatrick was arrested on similar charges.

Nicole Marie Andrews was arrested as well. 32-year-old Jessica Langford was arrested and charged with sexual assault-related crimes as well. A teacher from Oregon, Andrea Baber, was accused of having a sexual relationship with a student.  Robin Dunlap, a teacher in Florida, was arrested for sending illicit photos to a 15-year-old boy in Texas. Teacher and tennis coach Jennifer Olajire-Aro was also charged. 42-year-old Heather Butts of California was arrested on a second-degree felony charge. Florida State University announced new rules for their fraternities and sororities following the death of 20-year-old pledge Andrew Coffey.

FSU President John Thrasher partially lifted his suspension of all fraternity and sorority activities this week to allow for philanthropy and recruitment. Thrasher originally suspended Greek Life actives on November 6, three days after fraternity pledge Andrew Coffey died at an off-campus initiation party.

Two other members of the Pi Kappa Phi also had been arrested on unrelated drug trafficking charges.

via CBS 12:

Thrasher suspended the fraternities and sororities following the Nov. 3 death of Andrew Coffey, 20, who died from alcohol poisoning after an off-campus fraternity initiation. Thrasher said the tragedy, which also resulted in criminal charges for nine fraternity members, has made “a resounding difference” in how students view some of the questionable activities associated with the Greek organizations.

Thrasher praised the students, fraternity and sorority leaders and others for working with the administration to come up with a series of policy changes, including limits on alcohol use and more supervision for the organizations.

Thrasher said the sororities and fraternities, which have about 7,000 members, will now be allowed to recruit new members and engage in philanthropic activities. But an alcohol ban will remain in place for fraternities, sororities and some 700 student organizations as the new policies are implemented.

Thrasher said an alcohol ban will remain in effect for all 700 student organizations on campus.

This is the latest fraternity suspension at a major university in the past year, as schools have begun cracking down on Greek Life since the death of Timothy Piazza at Penn State. Major universities such as the University of Michigan and Ohio State have suspended fraternities in the last year.

John Wilson, a student-athlete at North Carolina A&T State University, claims that an Appalachian State University student said “at least I know my dad” during Sunday’s NCAA Division I match between the two schools. Wilson, a tennis player at the historically black university, identified the App State student as Spencer Brown.

Brown has been suspended indefinitely from the Appalachian State men’s tennis team.

Wilson took to Twitter to identify Brown, including a photo of him in the tweet. He wrote on Twitter:

“Hey #NCAT this is Spencer brown, a tennis player at Appalachian state. During our match today, along with other racist comments, Spencer told me, “At least I know my dad.” Their coach responded by saying, “..we have a black guy on our team.”

Appalachian State University issued an official statement on Monday, January 29, saying:

“After yesterday’s men’s tennis match, an Appalachian State student-athlete engaged in behavior that was derogatory and offensive. This student-athlete has suspended indefinitely from the team, effective immediately, for violating the student-athlete discipline policy.

We have reached out to the #NCAT to convey our apologies on behalf of Appalachian Athletics and the university for the conduct of this member of the team.”

Wilson posted an update to Twitter, saying that he had yet to receive a personal apology from Brown or Appalachian State:

“Update: Even though I have yet to be reached out personally from the administration of Appalachian State. The athletics program suspended Spencer indefinitely! Thank you all for the help, this is something I’ve always dealt with being a black tennis player. #NCAT”

Demi Lovato … Sheesh

Demi Lovato may have been the underrated Instagram follow of the year in 2017, but if her early 2018 posts are any indication, she plans on being underrated no more.

Whenever I think of Demi Lovato, the first thing I think of is her speaking out about body confidence. And that’s totally cool, I’m all for people loving who they are. It’s necessary for a healthy soul, a healthy life. Especially considering her fanbase, that’s the type of message she should be sending.

But like, real talk, Demi Lovato is essentially a one-percenter in terms of human genetics.

I’m not trying to be a dick or anything, but if Tyler Durden walked in the room and was all like, “Just love yourself, Eric,” I’d be like, “Eh, f*ck off 1999 Brad Pitt. You’re actually so handsome it hurts so I really don’t wanna hear it from you, Chief.”

This isn’t to say I don’t appreciate what Demi is doing. If these photos are the result of self-confidence, then please, self-confidence yourself all over my Instagram feed.

All of this was just a long-winded way of saying, Demi Lovato, in any shape, is wildly attractive and an absolute must follow on all forms of social media.

Proposed Tennessee Legislation Would Ban Fraternities & Soroities

A newly filed bill in Tennessee would put an end to fraternities and sororities in the Volunteer State.

The new legislation, titled HB 2042, would ban fraternities and sororities at the state’s universities and colleges. However, the bill would allow for “professional fraternities” that promote “the interests of a particular profession and honor societies.”

Under the legislation, all other fraternities and sororities, otherwise known as the “fun” ones will not be permitted to associate with any college or university. The bill is being sponsored by Rep. John DeBerry, D-Memphis, a graduate of Freed-Hardeman University and the University of Memphis.

via The Tennessean:

Talk of banning fraternities and sororities has heated up in recent years as universities throughout the country have dealt with a spate of high-profile hazing incidents.

Last year the University of Tennessee placed Sigma Phi Epsilon on social probation after reports of “extreme intoxication and injury requiring medical attention” occurred at an event. In late 2016, the headquarters of Sigma Chi suspended the fraternity’s UT-Knoxville chapter after revelations of new members being “physically, mentally and emotionally harassed/hazed.”

During the 2016-17 school year, the university imposed disciplinary sanctions against fraternities for six instances of hazing.

The issues haven’t been contained to the state’s flagship campus. Last year a University of Memphis fraternity was shut down and suspended for five years for “violating the student code of rights and responsibilities.”

This is just the latest step towards the end of Greek Life as we know it.
