The NFL added the skills competition to the Pro Bowl in an effort to draw more attention to the weekend. I must agree that this was a fantastic idea, people want to see these players showing off their unique talents in every different way. This was one of my favorite days of the entire year! Its a great way for the players to show that they love to have fun with lots of smiles, celebrations, and laughing it should make for an epic night!

The events for the Skills Competition are:

Epic Pro Bowl Dodgeball: Pro Bowlers will compete in a game of dodgeball, with every member of each team participating. The team with the last person on the court wins.

Kick Tac Toe: A new challenge that tests the accuracy of placekickers from both conferences with a version of the classic game, as they attempt to hit a 3×3 grid of targets inside the uprights.

Gridiron Gauntlet: Five players from each team will participate in a relay race designed to showcase strength, speed, and agility. Among other surprises, the challenge will include a 40-yard dash with an inflated parachute that is attached to the first player on each team who will sprint before tagging in teammates.

Best Hands: Four receivers-two from each conference- will catch a series of passes at a sequence of downfield targets as quickly as possible. Designated targets require a specific style of catch — diving, one-handed, over the shoulder, etc. — which must be executed before the receiver can move on to the next target.

Precision Passing: Each conference’s quarterbacks will battle it out in an accuracy competition, as they attempt to hit targets of varying size and distance.

Drone Drop: A bonus event during which one player from each team will attempt to catch footballs dropped from drones from increasing heights above the field. The player who makes the highest catch wins money for the charity of his choice.

To the disappointment of many, the NBA did not televise the NBA All-Star Game draft. So we may never know who was picked first or who was picked last, and if LeBron James tried to pick himself for all 12 positions. What we do know is that James does get the first pick because he had the most votes of any All-Star starter, while Stephen Curry will pick second.

The 67th edition of the All-Star Game will take place in Los Angeles California at the Staples Center. Tonight on TNT at 7:00 p.m. we do find out what the teams will look like when it comes to game time on February 18th, 2018.

Migos is coming out with a follow-up to their 2017 album, Culture, with Culture 2, often stylized as Culture II, and we have the live streams to help you enjoy it from the safety and comfort of your computer.

If you are a novice Migos is an American hip hop trio from Lawrenceville, Georgia. The three, known as Quavo, Offset and Takeoff (Quavious Keyate Marshall, Kirshnik Khari Ball and Kiari Kendrell Cephus), formed their group in 2009. This new album is their third studio album, with the original Culture serving as their second. Their first was the 2015 album, Yung Rich Nation.

It was rumored that the album was lost on a hard drive in 2017, but this recent release seems to prove otherwise. Eventually, January 26, 2018, was announced as the release date earlier about a week before the release on January 15.

If you are in the mood for a real ensemble piece, Cardi B and Nicki Minaj are both featured in the track, “MotorSport.” They aren’t even the only big names who worked on the album, and the trio revealed on their official Instagram account: Daryl “DJ Durel” McPherson, Aubry “Big Juice” Delaine, Nick Valentin, Brian Judd, Thomas “Tillie” Mann, Mike Larson, Thomas Cullison, Leslie Brathwaite, Colin Leonard, Mike Dean, Murda Beatz, Cubeatz, Pharrell Williams, Honorable C.N.O.T.E., Buddah Bless, DJ Durel and Ezekiel “Zeke” Lewis.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Offset promised “the original Migos sound…Club rocking. The beat, the bass is everything. We’re not really a slow-down artist. It’s light, it’s fun, it’s lit.” As he continued, the new album will go in a different direction, but still be familiar to fans:

“It’s still trap. We got a little funkier. It’s not all the way funk. There’s still a Migos vibe.”

“See, ‘Bad and Boujee’ was really a ladies’ record. It made all of them want to stand up a little more and feel a little better about themselves. When you got the women, you got everything.”

Fraternities at the University of California-Los Angeles have been indefinitely banned from hosting in-house events with alcohol.

According to a statement from the UCLA Interfraternity Council, the Interfraternity council’s executive board passed the ban at a meeting on Tuesday, January 16. The ban was confirmed by Kevin Dougherty, the director of fraternity and sorority life and associate dean of students. The sororities and fraternities involved in the ban were informed through text, messaging apps and email.

The ban follows an alleged sexual assault Saturday night in the North Village. UCPD responded Sunday morning to an alleged report of sexual assault Saturday night at a party on the 500 block of Gayley Avenue. Benjamin Orr, 21, was arrested and charged with assault with intent to commit rape and oral copulation. Orr, a UCLA student, was the 2016-2017 president of the Theta Delta Chi fraternity.

Orr was transferred to Los Angeles County jail before being released on $100,000 bail, and is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 5 at the Los Angeles Airport Courthouse. A former member of the IFC executive council said he thinks instances of gender-based violence and discriminatory behaviors increased this academic school year, especially during fall quarter.

IFC Director Dougherty said that he thinks the ban is a “step in the right direction and that UCLA will ensure IFC and the chapters it oversees follow UCLA Student Conduct Code.” Furthermore, he added that UCLA works with UCPD and Campus Assault Resources and Education to respond to reports of inappropriate behavior, including sexual violence and sexual assault.

This is the latest fraternity suspension in the last year, as schools such as Indiana University, the University of Michigan, Ohio State University, Texas State, Florida State, Ball State, Louisiana State and Penn State have all suspended fraternities.

Karen Chen has been a staple name in the world of competitive figure skating for quite some time now, born and raised in Fremont, CA, Karen started her training in figure skating back in 2005. She then first appeared at the 2013 U.S. Figure Skating Championships where she finished fourth. Shortly after that, she made her international debut at the 2013 Spring Gardenia Trophy at the age of 14 where she took home the gold at the Novice level.

Shortly after her Junior International debut, Karen Chen suffered a type-three tibia fracture in her right ankle after attempting a triple lutz jump. Throughout the next couple years and after her recovery, Karen dedicated her life to the sport of figure skating where she competed in numerous figure skating championships and events around the world including Czech Skate, Croatia Cup, Skate America, Cup of China competitions.

It wasn’t until the 2017 U.S. Figure Skating Championships where Karen Chen skated a fantastic short program and free skate placing her in first place for both, leading her to bring home the Gold medal. Additionally, she set a new world record with her score of 72.82 in short program. The next year at the 2018 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, Chen placed third in her short program and fourth in the free skate.

Now, Karen Chen has been chosen to represent Team USA in Figure Skating at the 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Games. With all eyes on Karen, especially after her stellar rise to fame, she must train her hardest to go for the Gold in the PyeongChang Games. Karen has been spending the past couple years stunning audiences and judges with her graceful short programs and exhibitions. Chen has self-choreographed her own programs for the past couple years which include songs like “El Tango de Roxanne” from the musical Moulin Rouge, “Slow Dancing in the Big City” by Bill Conti and her signature song “Carmen Suite” from the opera Carmen.

Julie Ertz is a soccer player for the women’s United States national team. Julie is also the wife of Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz.

Ertz is currently a 25-year-old midfielder for the United States women’s national soccer team as well as the Chicago Red Stars of the National Women’s Soccer League. Ertz played every minute of all seven games of the 2015 World Cup.

Ertz played college soccer at Santa Clara University before being selected third overall by the Chicago Red Stars in the 2014 NWSL College Draft. After moving to center midfield for club and country in 2017, Ertz was awarded US Soccer Female Player of the Year.

Julie met Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz while attending a baseball game at Stanford University. The couple got engaged on February 26, 2016. The couple then got engaged at the same baseball stadium where they met and got married on March 26, 2017, in Goleta, California.

Folks, it’s a Friday and a slow day on the internet. Everyone is talking about President Trump being at something called Davos and I have no idea what the hell that is and don’t care enough to look into it. But if I do know one thing, it’s that this young fella in this video no longer has a soul.

Unfortunately, there’s absolutely no context to this video other than the fact that these two kids seem to be looking for some trouble, and trouble they found.

While I would love to know what the beef was over or why these two idiots would challenge a man twice their size in his place of business, the video itself is entertaining enough without the plot details, given the fact that the end result is literally the most brutal chokeslam I’ve ever seen.

Talk about breaking glass ceilings. Well, at least KFC shattered that glass with their new spokesperson. Reba McEntire has been tapped to play the iconic spokesperson and founder for the popular chicken brand making her the first female Colonel Harland Sanders.

This ad is the first of many more to come with the music superstar promoting KFC’s new Smoky Mountain BBQ fried chicken. There have been other celebrities who have played the Colonel such as Rob Lowe, George Hamilton, Darrell Hammond, and Jim Gaffigan. They were all male celebrities who portrayed the Colonel in the past. This news of McEntire becoming the next Colonel to say, “it’s finger-lickin’ good,” is wonderful, refreshing news.

The country music superstar and Reba alumna stated, “I grew up with Kentucky Fried Chicken,” in a press release. “It’s part of my story, and I’m so excited to now be part of theirs. Although quarterbacks are easily the most coveted prospects for obvious reasons, the individuals that are capable of neutralizing these glorified passers are nearly as vital to a teams success. While they may never get the recognition or the salary that quarterbacks currently reap in today’s game, elite cornerbacks can effectively and consistently affect the outcome of a tight game by being in the right place at the right time. Although talented cornerbacks are difficult to come by, when a team is able to land one or two youthful wunderkinds at the aforementioned position, they can go from being average to elite in their respective secondaries (see the Jacksonville Jaguars). They go largely unnoticed, but the importance and playmaking abilities of a tenacious and cerebral cornerback cannot be denied.

10. Duke Dawson, Florida

When plays occur in front of Duke Dawson, the cerebral corner is fantastic at reading routes and keeping up with opposing receivers. Although he may not have elite speed, Dawson is fast enough to keep up with speedy receivers that like to run vertical routes. While he is prone to giving up big plays, Dawson is capable of making just as many to counterbalance his head-scratching miscues.

9. Nick Nelson, Wisconsin

Although Nick Nelson had zero interceptions in 2017 for the Badgers, he was exceptional as a ball hawk as he constantly disrupted passes that were thrown to opposing receivers (21 passes broken up). As Nelson has the elite size to be a great corner at the next level, he simply needs to work on his hands to become more effective as a cornerback that can accrue interceptions fairly consistently.

8. Isaiah Oliver, Colorado

At 6’1″ and 190 lbs, Isaiah Oliver has the size and length to be a nagging and effective cornerback in the NFL. However, while Oliver is great in man coverage, he really needs to step up his off coverage skills if he wants to be regarded as a top cornerback prospect going forward.

7. Jaire Alexander, Louisville

Despite playing in just six games for the Cardinals in 2017, Jaire Alexander proved to be highly athletic and versatile when it came to covering receivers in a variety of situations. What makes Alexander an intriguing prospect is his breakneck speed, an attribute that was fully realized by the Cardinals as they allowed the speedy corner to be a punt returner, an area where he was especially dangerous and effective.

6. J.C. Jackson, Maryland

Although J.C. Jackson comes with some serious off the field concerns, his exceptional athleticism, size, and production could allow him to be a steal in the draft. With 40 tackles and three interceptions in 2017, Jackson has the aggressiveness and physical presence to be a great corner in the NFL, he just needs to stay out of trouble and reassure prospective teams that he can be a disciplined team player going forward.

5. Donte Jackson, LSU

Weighing in at just 175 lbs, Jackson lacks the ideal size to shut down some of the bigger bodied receivers in the pros. However, Jackson is extremely fast and could be highly effective against vertical receivers in the NFL. Although Jackson has to be more disciplined in coverage rather than relying on his athleticism to consistently make plays, he has all the makings to be a sleeper acquisition in the draft.

4. Carlton Davis, Auburn

Aside from his intriguing measurables, Carlton Davis is a highly competitive corner that could be a serious threat when covering some of the bigger and more aggressive receivers in the NFL. While he lacks the elite speed to cover wideouts that like to run vertical routes, he has the ideal physicality to make nearly any opposing receivers uncomfortable regardless of their potent abilities.

3. Denzel Ward, Ohio State

Other than being slightly undersized from a stature standpoint (5’10”), Denzel Ward has the athleticism and ball skills to be a top cornerback at the next level. Even against larger receivers, Ward is fearless and effective at preventing separation, but still gets taken advantage of from time to time. Still, Ward is both cerebral and highly skilled, two essential attributes that could allow him to start sooner rather than later for any team that is willing to give him a chance.

2. Mike Hughes, UCF

A fantastic cover corner, Mike Hughes is a phenomenal tackler (49 tackles), opportunistic ball snatcher (four interceptions) and a dangerous force when returning kickoffs and punts on special teams. With impressive speed and ideal size for his position, Hughes has all of the physical tools and instincts of a confident cornerback and will consistently frustrate opposing quarterbacks who will have trouble throwing to their favorite receivers when he is covering them.

1. Joshua Jackson, Iowa

His off the charts production says it all. With 48 tackles, 18 passes broken up and eight interceptions, Joshua Jackson has the size, speed, and athleticism to make big plays in a multitude of ways. With his best game of the year being against Ohio State with three interceptions, Jackson is clearly capable of showing up in big moments, suggesting that the top cornerback prospect will be able to start right away for any NFL team that covets his dynamic abilities.

Justin Timberlake just released a new track and music video with Chris Stapleton. “Say Something” comes from JT’s upcoming album, Man of the Woods, which is set to drop February 2nd, 2 days before he will headline the halftime Super Bowl show on February 4th.

The 36-year-old singer partnered up with country music artist, Chris Stapleton, and everyone’s fun to pronounce director, La Blogothèque, for the six-minute video. In the vid, we see Timberlake pick up his guitar and walk through the grand Bradbury Building (in Los Angeles) to meet up with Stapleton. The duo then jams together in the building, and are eventually accompanied by an impressive 60-person choir.

La Blogothèque shared details about the video on Thursday after it was released, telling Instagram followers, “17 musicians, a 60 people choir, 5 floors, 2 elevators, 1 camera and so many microphones: it’s @justintimberlake and @chrisstapleton new video clip…”

JT’s new album is supposedly a bit of a departure from his usual pop style influence. For Man of the Woods, he dug into his Southern roots in search of some of that Tennessee twang. Speaking of his upcoming fifth studio album, he said “I think where I grew up in America has a lot of influence. Growing up in Tennessee—very central of the country—Memphis is known as the birthplace of rock & roll, but also the home of the blues, but Nashville’s right down the street so there’s a lot of country music.”

Mass school shooting thwarted at Uniontown High School outside of Pittsburgh. The student had multiple guns, knives, and a crossbow.

According to reports, police found weapons when searching the unidentified student’s bedroom. The suspect is reportedly 14-years-old.

Uniontown Area High School is a comprehensive public high school serving around 975 students in grades 9-12 who reside in the Uniontown Area School District in Fayette County, Pennsylvania.

The school was opened in 1911 and was renovated and added in 1954 and 1979 and has a Gymnasium with balconies, an Auditorium, Natatorium, Woodshop, Metal Shop, and Graphics Shop. Currently, as of January 2012, the school is undergoing renovations to relieve overcrowding issues and aging to the existing structure.

All students are required to complete 26 credits of coursework, as well as complete a Graduation Project and score proficient or above on the Pennsylvania System of State Assessments. The breakdown in how a student earns their credits depends on whether or not they attend the Fayette County Career and Technical Institute.

From a leadership and intelligence perspective, safeties have to be able to play a variety positions with a high degree of skill. However, even more importantly, the consummate safety prospect will have the exceptional vision to read routes before they happen while being able to effectively read the eyes of the quarterback. Similar to cornerbacks, there are very few safeties in the NFL that could be considered elite, which is why this is a highly coveted position every year going into the NFL Draft. Although this years safety class may appear to be top heavy at an initial glance, there are actually a plethora of unknown and capable defensive backs at the position that could quickly step into a starting role given the proper time and guidance to fully develop their unique skill sets.

10. Armani Watts, Texas A&M

With great instincts and intelligence, Armani Watts somehow always manages to be around the ball in spite of his unimpressive speed. With that being said, Watts does struggle in man coverage as speedy receivers can create separation from him fairly easily. Still, Watts’ reflexes and impressive play recognition abilities will allow him to become a late bloomer at some point during his pro career.

9. Jordan Whitehead, Pittsburgh

Suspended during the first three games of the 2017 season, Jordan Whitehead clearly has some off the field concerns. However, Whitehead is highly physical and has the instincts to be a relentless and effective strong safety at the next level. Although Whitehead will likely drop into one of the later rounds of the draft due to his somewhat diminutive size, he has the tackling skills to be a bully defensive back that will consistently disrupt would be pass-catchers.

8. Jessie Bates, Wake Forest

What Jessie Bates lacks in strength, he makes up for with his exceptional tackling abilities and an impressive nose for locating and knocking down passes. If the tenacious safety can put on some more muscle and perform well at the combine, he could quickly rise up draft boards as a reliable, tackling safety.

7. Kyzir White, West Virginia

With the ideal frame to be a strong safety in the NFL, Kyzir White has all of the physical tools and aggressive to both rush the quarterback and force fumbles consistently. Although White may be on the slow side, he is clearly a physical force that could contribute immensely in blitzing situations while forcing turnovers to get his eager offense back on the field.

6. Terrell Edmunds, Virginia Tech

Although he may not have elite speed, Terrell Edmunds has great coverage skills and the prototypical frame to be an intimidating and physical safety in the NFL. While his production in 2017 could have been better, he clearly has all of the physical skills and the developing covering abilities to be an intriguing safety at some point in his career.

5. Ronnie Harrison, Alabama

A fearless enforcer, Ronnie Harrison is the ideal strong safety prospect that can both stop the run and consistently pressure opposing quarterbacks. Although Harrison has the athleticism to be effective in coverage, he struggles in man coverage as he lacks the anticipation skills to cover speedy wideouts one-on-one. Nevertheless, Harrison is a great tackler with a tremendous motor that will be coveted by NFL teams that want to beef up a physical and relentless secondary.

4. Deshon Elliott, Texas

Despite lacking elite athletic abilities, Deshon Elliott has the exceptional instincts and size to be a solid to great free safety at the next level. Also a strong tackler, Elliott is much more than a typical cover safety and should go far in the NFL if he can find ways to make up for his lack of speed.

While James has the solid instincts to be an above average free safety, his toughness and physical nature will allow him to be much more dominant as a ferocious strong safety. Regardless of what defensive position James ends up playing, his wide-ranging skill set will allow him to be a constant threat anywhere on the field.

1. Minkah Fitzpatrick, Alabama

Whether covering receivers one-on-one downfield or providing help to his fellow cornerbacks in coverage, Minkah Fitzpatrick is the ideal do it all defensive back that is fantastic in any pass covering position. He is also a clutch tackler that can effectively be the eighth man in the box. Fitzpatrick does not appear to have any limitations or preferences for where he lines up on the field, which should allow him to step into any defensive system right away and contribute in any way that he is needed by his future team.

Stephanie Cowan, a science teacher in Oklahoma, is facing three counts of rape for allegedly having sex with her teenage foster son.

Cowan, a former teacher at Pryor Junior High School in Oklahoma, admitted to having sex with the boy. The teen was placed in Cowan’s care by the state’s Department of Human Services.

According to the Pryor Police Department, the boy said that he had sex with his foster mother on their way home from vacation in Florida. Cowan then admitted to having sex with the boy three more times after that.

An affidavit said Cowan started being a foster parent to the teenage boy in late October and the first sexual contact happened a month later on the way home from a vacation in Florida. Police said Cowan admitted to having sex with the boy three times after that.

“She advised the first time they had sex was in his room, the second time was in her room and the third time was in the bathroom of her residence,” said Assistant Chief James Willyard of Pryor Police Department.

The Pryor superintendent said all he could say legally is Cowan’s a first-year science teacher at the Pryor junior high and has been suspended from her job. He said they take matters like this very seriously.

The University of Pittsburgh has suspended the Sigma Chi fraternity after a student was hospitalized in an “alcohol-related incident.” The school also temporarily barred all Greek life organizations from hosting events with alcohol

University of Pittsburgh officials did not release specific details about what caused the student to be hospitalized and declined to comment on the student’s current condition.

While the school did not identify which fraternity had been suspended, Sigma Chi’s national office said in a statement that the University of Pittsburgh chapter has been suspended for apparently violating alcohol and drug policies.

Vice Provost and Dean of Students Kenyon Bonner declined to be interviewed, and an office employee referred calls to university marketing and media relations officials. Joseph Miksch, one of those officials, released a late-day statement largely rehashing the university’s already stated position but including no specifics about the incident, nor anything about the unidentified student’s condition.

An official at Sigma Chi’s international headquarters in Evanston, Ill., however, identified its chapter at Pitt as the one involved.

“Sigma Chi International Fraternity is aware of the incident that took place with our chapter at the University of Pittsburgh in which they apparently violated several provisions of our policy on alcohol and drugs,” fraternity executive director Michael Church stated in an email. “We have placed the chapter on interim suspension while we investigate the nature of the incident.

According to the school’s website, the university has 39 total fraternities and sororities.

One person has been killed and several people have been injured during a shooting in Amsterdam on Grote Wittenburgerstraat. The extent of the injuries are unknown at this time.

Police in Amsterdam reporting multiple victims from a shooting incident in the city. The incident happened on Grote Wittenburgerstraat street which appears to be a largely residential area.

Authorities, several ambulances, and a trauma helicopter are reportedly at the scene.

The streets around where the incident happened have been sealed off and there is no indication yet as to whether the incident is terror-related. Nobody has been arrested yet.

With conference play underway in NCAA basketball, there is a game between two ACC opponents. These teams are the NC State Wolfpack and the North Carolina Tar Heels. Last season, the Tar Heels won both meetings against the Wolfpack and will now look to defend its home court once more. Although only one of these teams is currently ranked, this is a very intense in-state rivalry and one can expect this game to be competitive.

The North Carolina Tar Heels entered the season with the hopes of become the first back-to-back champions since 2007. However, the Tar Heels lost several key pieces from last year’s championship team including Justin Jackson and Isaiah Hicks. As a result, the Tar Heels have struggled a bit due to its lack of quality depth and experience on the roster. The Tar Heels have already lost three games this season and will most likely fall in the rankings this weekend due to their loss against Florida State on Wednesday night.

NC State’s success is due to its solid guard play. NC State has three separate guards who average over nine points a game. These guards are Allerik Freeman, Torin Dorn and Braxton Beverly. This season, Freeman is averaging 13.8 points along with 4.3 rebounds per game. Dorn is averaging 13.1 points per game along with seven rebounds per game. Beverly is averaging 9.8 points along with 4.2 assists per game. All three of them are vital to the team’s success and will need to have great games if the Wolfpack plan on upsetting their in-state rivals.

North Carolina’s success is due to its veteran backcourt. Guards Joel Berry and Kenny Williams have been the leaders of this year’s team and also have boasted impressive stats thus far in the regular season. Berry is currently averaging 17.6 points per game along with 3.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists. Williams is averaging 11.5 points per game along with 3.4 rebounds per game. Both of them were on the championship team last season as well as the second place team from two seasons ago. As a result, these guards are the veteran leaders on this team and will look to lead the Tar Heels to a home victory on Saturday.

As for my prediction, I have to side with North Carolina. I think that North Carolina is the better all-around team and will prove it in front of its home crowd on Saturday.

Entering this season, Bagley was expected to be one of the top picks in the upcoming NBA Draft and that will likely come true if he goes pro after the season. Expect Bagley to have a big game on Saturday if Duke plans on winning this contest.

Virginia’s success is due to its team defense. Every year, Virginia is one of the best defensive teams in the country under coach Tony Bennett. This season is no different as the Cavaliers officially have the best scoring defense in all of college basketball. Virginia is allowing 51.6 points per game this season and will look to shut down Duke’s potent offense. Leading the Cavaliers offensively is guard Kyle Guy. This season, Guy is averaging 15.2 points per game and is shooting 42.6% from the three point line. If Virginia plans on winning this contest, Guy will need to have a big game from behind the arc.

As for my prediction, I have to side with Duke. It is very difficult to defeat Duke on its home court and I do not think that Virginia has enough offensive weapons to win.
