Lakers vs. Spurs Live Stream: How to Watch NBA Basketball Online

With about half the NBA season completed, there is a game between two mismatched opponents in the Western Conference. These teams are the San Antonio Spurs and the Los Angeles Lakers. The Spurs entered the season with the hopes of dethroning the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference. However, the Spurs are currently in third place in the Western Conference and are only five games back of the Warriors for first place. Their opponents in this contest, the Los Angeles Lakers, have been underachieving so far this season and are currently tied for last in the Western Conference standings. Since these teams are extremely uneven, expect this game to be rather lopsided.

San Antonio’s success is due to its elite defense and bench production. The Spurs, led by star forward Kawhi Leonard, were expected to compete for an NBA championship this season. However, Leonard has only played in eight out of the team’s 42 games this season and the team is still 28-14. One major reason for the team’s ability to win without its best player is its defense. This season, the Spurs have allowed the second-fewest points per game in the NBA and have used their stifling defense to win a ton of low scoring contests. The Spurs also have the sixth-highest scoring bench in the NBA and use its tremendous depth to tire out their opponents. If the Spurs plan on winning this contest, expect its bench to play extremely well.

Los Angeles’ struggles have been due to its extremely young core. Offensively, the Lakers are led by rookies Kyle Kuzma and Lonzo Ball. This season, Kuzma is averaging over 16 points per game along with over six rebounds per game and is shooting 46.4% from the floor. Fellow rookie Lonzo Ball struggled early on this season but has recently improved his level of play. This season, Ball is averaging 10.0 points per game along with 7.1 assists and rebounds per game. However, Ball has struggled with his shot since joining the NBA. As the second pick in the NBA Draft, Ball was expected to make an immediate impact on the Lakers organization. Although his statistics are extremely well-rounded, Ball is only shooting 34.9 percent from the field and 29.8 percent from the three point line. If the Lakers plan on making the playoffs in the future, Ball will have to drastically improve those shooting numbers.

As for my prediction, I have to side with the Spurs. Although the game is in Los Angeles, the Spurs are clearly the better team in this contest. I expect its defense and bench to control the tempo of the game as the Spurs win this game by double digits.

NFL Playoff Picks For the Weekend

Hey everybody, it’s that time of year again. The NFL playoffs are among us and thus, a great time to gamble. Here’s my advice to all of you so you can make money this weekend.

Falcons vs. Eagles +3:

Instagram Photo

For those of you who don’t know, which is most of you reading this, I’ve been doubting the Falcons all year. I didn’t think they would make the playoffs and last season was a definitely a fluke of a run (although that last statement I still stand by.) But overall, I was actually dead wrong about Atlanta’s talent and the importance of experience that they certainly possess over younger, more talented teams. Case in point, Atlanta’s performance last Saturday against the Rams made me look stupid and showed the importance of experience over youth in playoff games.

As talented as the Eagles are, they’re not the same team without Carson Wentz, no matter how you want to slice it. Like the Rams, they’re also a young and inexperienced team, except they’re playing with their backup quarterback who actually hasn’t proven himself to do anything impressive since he’s been taking snaps under center. Now, he’s being thrown into the belly of the beast against Atlanta, which is a team significantly more talented than anybody Foles has played this season. This is not going to be another Jeff Hostetler situation in Philly, take Atlanta to win the game outright and cover.

Titans vs. Patriots -13.5

Instagram Photo

As much as I hate New England’s guts, there’s no way New England doesn’t cover. Moreover, by the standards of 31 other NFL teams, being favored by two touchdowns is a huge spread that you generally don’t trust, but TB12 and the Hoodie are the exceptions to this rule. By New England’s standards, a 13.5 point spread is a 6 point spread.

New England has destroyed four of six of the last 8 teams they’ve played by at least 18 points, and all six of these being home games. The Titans shocked the world last Saturday and deserve all the credit for it, but football is the ultimate game of probability, and what actually happened against Kansas City was as improbable of a situation as they come. If six of New England’s last eight games were won by at least 18 points, five of which were by twenty or more points, it makes more sense to come back to reality and pick New England to cover. They’ll win by two touchdowns or more, unless of course, Mariota can figure out a way to be the Bugs Bunny of football for a second week in a row.

Jaguars vs. Steelers -7 O/U 41

Instagram Photo

From watching last week’s game, all I learned from Jacksonville is that Blake Bortles blows and if you took out Buffalo’s defense and put in 11 members of Bills mafia on the field to defend Blake Bortles, Jacksonville will barely be able to put up more than 10 points. Sacksonville is just that, Sacksonville. They sure as hell can play defense against any offensive juggernaut field you put in front of them on any end of the field but watching Blake Bortles try and put points on the board is like watching a plant grow.

As far as Pittsburgh goes, they’re by far a more talented team, it’s not even comparable, especially on offense. I can see Pittsburgh struggling early on offensively just because of Sacksonville’s defense and Pittsburgh’s tendency to make mind-numbing mistakes but Pittsburgh will win this by at least two possessions and cover the 7 point spread off of sheer talent superiority. Also, TAKE THE UNDER, this won’t be a high scoring game.

Saints vs. Vikings -5 O/U 46.5

Instagram Photo

This is actually a pretty disrespectful spread to Sean Payton, Drew Brees, and the entire Saints team. Sure, Minnesota was a better regular season team, but come playoff time, the game changes drastically. New Orleans has a young defense and Sean Payton probably has movie’s worth of film on Case Keenum and everybody on Minnesota’s offense. The Saints are more talented, but they’re playing on the road in cold weather, so this game is the ultimate crapshoot, but what’s not a crap shoot is that I wouldn’t pick either team to cover a five-point spread and take the over because this will definitely be high scoring. The Saints have arguably the best offense in all of football and in order to keep up, Minnesota will have to race down the field.

Jaimie Alexander Instagram: Best Photos & Must-See Pictures

The red-hot Jaimie Alexander, 33, returns to television tonight for the mid-season premiere of NBC’s hit crime drama Blindspot. On the show, Alexander plays the lead role of Alice “Remi” Kruger aka “Jane Doe,” a woman whose tattoos are used to solve crimes for the F.B.I. Besides her role on Blindspot, Jaimie has secured prominent roles in TV shows such as Watch Over Me, Kyle XY, and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. She’s also well-known for her role in the 2011 film Thor and its 2013 sequel Thor: The Dark World.

Jaimie was born in Greenville, South Carolina, on March 12, 1984. When she was four-years-old, she moved to Grapevine, Texas. The young Jaimie took up acting for fun while in elementary school. However, she was kicked out of the acting scene in high school because she wasn’t able to sing well. After graduating from high school, she moved to Los Angeles with Hollywood dreams in her eyes.

Alexander’s acting career took off in 2006 after starring in an independent action thriller/horror film called The Other Side, which received very positive reviews from a majority of critics. For instance, David Walker of DVDTalk.com wrote that “By the nature of its horror genre roots, The Other Side may not appeal to some audiences,” but the film does balance itself out “and delivers enough entertainment that it truly deserves consideration. However, for die-hard fans of micro-budget independent films, as well as aspiring and established filmmakers, The Other Side verges on being required viewing, standing out as (a) movie that is entertaining, impressive, and most important, inspiring.”

Fans of the FXX show It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia might remember a younger Jaimie Alexander as Tammy in the third episode of the series, titled “Underage Drinking: A National Concern”. She played an 18-year-old high school senior who Dennis Reynolds attempted to apply the D.E.N.N.I.S. System on, but she was the one who was playing him. That was just classic Tammy; trying to get her ex-boyfriend Trey jealous by hooking up with Dennis. I think Charlie Kelly can explain it better…

Tonight, the 33-year-old star will return to television once more as Alice “Remi” Kruger aka “Jane Doe” on NBC’s Blindspot. But before you watch her in-action on your TV screen this evening, you can catch her in the COED gallery right now.

Drunk Bus Driver Goes On Road Rage With Students On Board

New Jersey police have arrested a school bus driver that was drunk when he was involved in a road rage incident with about 20 students on board his vehicle.

According to Lakewood, New Jersey police, 54-year-old Angel Colon was intoxicated when authorities responded to the scene.

Lakewood Police were called to the area of Chestnut Street and Vermont Avenue about the alarming incident that involved the vehicle Colon was operating and another. Officers Christopher DiBiase and Ralph Hatt came to assist Daniel Brooks when Hatt said he smelled alcohol on Colon’s breath.

via Patch:

Staffordsmith said Lakewood Police Officer Daniel Brooks radioed headquarters about 8:30 a.m. to report he was out with two vehicles that were involved in a road rage incident in the area of Chestnut Street and Vermont Avenue. One of the vehicles was the school bus driven by Colon, Staffordsmith said.

Jay’s Bus Service in Lakewood contracts with a number of area school districts for specific bus runs. Staffordsmith said it was not known which school district the students were from, or the age of the students.

Officers Ralph Hatt and Christopher DiBiase responded to assist Brooks and as Hatt was speaking with Colon, he smelled alcohol on the bus driver’s breath, Staffordsmith said. Colon was also described as having slurred speech and bloodshot eyes, he said.

Colon was arrested and charged with DWI and endangering the welfare of children. He was taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River, New Jersey. It is unclear whether he posted bail.

The bus company, Jay’s Bus service, declined comment on the matter and wouldn’t say if Colon was still employed.

University Of Florida Suspends Fraternity Until 2021 Due To Alcohol & Drug Use

Tau Epsilon Phi at the University of Florida has been suspended after alleged drug and alcohol-related incidents.

According to reports, Heather White, the university’s interim dean of students, sent the university’s chapter of Tau Epsilon Phi a three-page-letter recommending a four-year suspension from December 2017 until December 17, 2021.

The university accused the fraternity violating five student conduct codes, including drug possession, serving alcohol to minors. One of these alcohol-related incidents caused several people to be sent to the hospital. Furthermore, Tau Epsilon Phi caused $3,000 in damages to a hotel in New Orleans.

via NewsChief:

All residents of the chapter have until Jan. 31 to vacate the fraternity house. The chapter has 147 active members currently enrolled at UF.

According to the letter, which was sent to the Miami Herald by John Hines, UF’s coordinator of media affairs, the school made the decision to suspend the fraternity for several reasons. Among them: The chapter had previously been placed on deferred suspension twice due to violation of the student conduct code, including a 2008 violation when campus police found 36 pledges kneeling shirtless on the floor of the fraternity’s basement.

In addition, many fraternity members, including chapter leadership, were involved in the previous behaviors that violated University of Florida policies.

During the suspension, Tau Epsilon Phi will not be recognized as an active part of the University of Florida and therefore are barred from participating in any school functions.

This is the latest fraternity suspension in the last year, as schools such as Indiana University, the University of Michigan, Ohio State University, Texas State, Florida State, Ball State, Louisiana State and Penn State have all suspended fraternities.

NFL Draft 2018 Mock: Top 10 Underrated Prospects

GLENDALE, AZ – JANUARY 11: Hunter Renfrow #13 of the Clemson Tigers catches a 31 yard touchdown pass from Deshaun Watson #4 in the first quarter against the Alabama Crimson Tide during the 2016 College Football Playoff National Championship Game at University of Phoenix Stadium on January 11, 2016 in Glendale, Arizona. (Photo by Ronald Martinez/Getty Images)

For every Leonard Fournette, Jared Goff and Myles Garrett that are coveted as early first-round picks, there is an equal number of vastly underrated athletes that are actually more than ready to perform at the next level. During this season alone, rookies such as running back Alvin Kamara (3rd round pick) and wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (2nd round pick) exploded onto the scene as consummate playmakers that could contribute consistently despite their lack of experience as pro athletes. This year, there will certainly be a plethora of immensely talented prospects that will go unnoticed either because they lack the prototypical size and/or the elevated statistics needed to be considered a top pick. Regardless of the reason, NFL teams would be wise to do their due diligence on these ten prospects that could very well be competitive difference makers by the start of next season.

10. Hunter Renfrow, WR, Clemson

Despite being undersized at 5’10” and weighing just 180lbs, Hunter Renfrow is a deadly slot receiver that has fantastic hands and great route running abilities. While he caught a career-low three touchdown passes this year, he still brought in 60 receptions during his junior season, suggesting that his underwhelming scoring production was due to quarterback Kelly Bryant being more of a runner and intermediate passer, unlike that of former Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson. While Renfrow will probably be picked during the last day of the draft, he has the skill set and reliability to be an effective and speedy receiver at the next level.

9. Rashaad Penny, RB, San Diego State

Given the multitude of prolific backs that will be available in the draft this year, it’s understandable that a few lesser-known prospects at this particular position would fall through the cracks. However, Rashaad Penny has done more than enough to be rightfully considered a top running back prospect as he rushed for over 2000 yards while averaging 7.8 yards per rushing attempt and scoring 25 total touchdowns during his senior season. Although he may lack the speed of an electric rusher, he has the size and downhill running ability to be effective against weaker defensive fronts in the NFL.

8. Dallas Goedert, TE, South Dakota State

Every year, there are several highly talented FCS athletes that either get drafted late or go undrafted altogether because of the supposedly weak competition they faced in college. With impressive size and underrated athleticism, Dallas Goebert was a deadly receiving threat for the Jackrabbits as he posted back to back 1,000 receiving yard seasons during his junior and senior seasons. With prolific receiving tight ends being all the rage in the NFL, Goebert would be a fantastic selection for a team that needs a tough-minded and versatile playmaker.

7. Marcus Davenport, DE, UTSA

Despite playing for a non-power five conference school in UTSA, Marcus Davenport is a massive (6’7″, 256 lbs) and ferocious edge rusher that could be manhandling opposing offensive lines at the next level sooner rather than later. As a senior, Davenport racked up 55 total tackles, 17.5 tackles for a loss and 8.5 sacks, which is highly impressive even against weak competition. If Davenport has a great showing at the Senior Bowl, he could easily become a sleeper target for any NFL team that is looking for a relentless and athletic pass rusher.

6. Duke Dawson, CB, Florida

There are two key attributes that make for an ideal defensive back: instincts and intelligence. Sure, being athletic and physical are essential to frustrating great receivers as well, but as we have seen in someone like Richard Sherman, having the wherewithal and patience to make big plays consistently is what separates a good corner from a great corner. Similarly, Dawson is great at reading routes and transitions well in coverage but is at his best when shutting down speedy wideouts that like to run vertical routes. While Dawson is prone to giving up big plays every now and again, he makes an equal number of big plays against elite wideouts, which was evident when he covered Texas A&M’s top receiver in Christian Kirk earlier in the season.

5. Riley Ferguson, QB, Memphis

Yes, Riley Ferguson needs to vastly improve his field vision before he can start as a passer at the next level. Like most underrated quarterback prospects, Ferguson is prone to staring down his primary target, which was clearly his versatile wideout in Anthony Miller. However, when you consider this deficiency resulted in him completing just over 63% of his passes for 38 touchdowns and just nine interceptions, it becomes readily apparent that Ferguson could be an intriguing starter at the next level given time to develop. On top of that, Ferguson has the requisite arm strength needed to compete in the pros (9.0 yards per pass attempt during his senior season).

4. Anthony Miller, WR, Memphis

Although quarterback Riley Ferguson has to be given an immense amount of credit for his impressive performances this year, he was privileged to have one of the most prolific wide receivers in college football. With great route running ability, quickness, and elusiveness after the catch, Miller is a cerebral and highly athletic playmaker that can turn a dump off pass into a big-time touchdown reception. Although Miller is slightly undersized at 5’11”, he has the abilities and tenacity of an elite wideout and could very well be the steal of the draft.

3. Jaleel Scott, WR, New Mexico State

While eye-popping statistics are an essential measurable when it comes to gauging NFL talent, there are times where a prospective athletes physical make up can supersede his lack of production. At 6’6″ and 215 lbs, Jaleel Scott is a freakish athlete with incredible size, which could be a serious mismatch issue for opposing NFL defensive backs at the next level. If Scott can show some quickness when he participates in the Senior Bowl, the now unknown receiver could skyrocket up the draft boards of NFL teams that are in need of a physical receiver.

2. Harrison Phillips, DT, Stanford

92 total tackles, 14.5 tackles for a loss and 7.5 sacks. Those are the insane numbers for the fearless defensive tackle that are being disregarded because he currently has issues breaking out of double teams. Nevertheless, Phillips has the requisite size to be an elite run stopper and could easily overcome his pash rushing inconsistencies with the proper coaching. While numbers are not everything, Phillips has the proven production and playmaking ability to be a serious enforcer in the trenches.

1. Shaquem Griffin, LB, UCF

Okay, so the man is missing a hand. Other than that Shaquem Griffin has been nothing short of sensational on the field has the stud linebacker has recorded 33.5 tackles for a loss and 18.5 sacks during his last two seasons. Oh yeah, did I mention that he also been relentless and consistent as a physical tackler over his last two seasons with 166 total tackles?? More than likely, Griffin will either be a late round pick or become an undrafted free agent, but his otherworldly physical talents combined with his off the charts intangibles suggest that Griffin could and should be a taken no later than the second round.

Top 5 Best Los Angeles Lakers Players Of All Time Ranked

$

Shutterstock

Ranking the best of the best is never an easy task. However, when you attempt to subjectively proclaim who the best Lakers are of all time, it becomes an arduous endeavor that will undoubtedly stoke the ire of some die-hard of NBA fans. Nevertheless, rankings of any kind are fantastic for inspiring thought-provoking debates while invoking a sense of nostalgia in those that remember watching these supremely talented athletes perform gracefully on the court. Whether or not your favorite Lakers make the list, this is a piece that is designed to allow dedicated fans to relive all of the glorious memories that are still associated with these iconic Hall-of-Famers that forever changed how the game of basketball was watched and enjoyed.

5. Wilt Chamberlain, Center

Although Wilt Chamberlain only played for the Los Angeles Lakers during his final years as an NBA player from 1968-1973, he arguably had some of his best seasons when he was the showstopper of Los Angeles. Leading the league in rebounds during his final three seasons in the NBA, Chamberlain was a physically fierce big man as he utilized his imposing stature to bully any opponents that tried to attack the glass in his presence (7’1″, 275 lbs). While Chamberlain did win an NBA Championship with Lakers before retiring two years later, the relationship between the Hall-of-Famer and the organization was ultimately damaged as Los Angeles sued him for trying to play for an ABA team in the San Diego Conquistadors. Still, Chamberlain was and always will be considered one of the most iconic Lakers of all time due to his competitive fire and dominance as a rebounder and scorer.

4. Shaquille O’Neal, Center

Arguably the most dominant big man of all time, “Shaq” was a shot-blocking, double-double juggernaut that never quit when he was on the court. Aside from his prowess as an imposing defender, Shaq was practically unstoppable as a scorer when he was underneath the basket, with the only prevention method being to send him to the free throw line. Winning all three finals MVP’s during the Lakers three straight years as NBA Champions from 2000-2002, Shaq was an integral part of the Lakers prolific success at the start of the 21st century. Sadly, the off-court issues with fellow Laker Kobe Bryant were most likely the reason for the dominant center’s departure from the organization in 2004 after the Lakers lost to the Detroit Pistons in the NBA Finals. Regardless, Shaq was and still is one of the most beloved Lakers by fans and it’s thanks to his legendary talents that a new generation of Laker fans was treated to some of the most memorable moments in NBA history.

3. Kobe Bryant, Shooting Guard

One of the most clutch and cerebral players to ever step foot on an NBA court, Kobe “The Black Mamba” Bryant was a consummate competitor that regularly took over games and single-handedly baffled his opponents on numerous occasions. A five-time NBA champion and a 15-time All-Star, Bryant’s dominance rarely faltered and his performances in the NBA playoffs were nothing short of miraculous. From 2000-2012, Bryant never averaged less than less than 20 points per game while averaging no worse than one steal per game during that same time span. Simply put, Bryant was a do it all playmaker that rarely played within his defined role as a shooting guard, as he was a ruthless and unforgiving ball facilitator as well as a clutch shooter. With both of his jerseys now hanging from the rafters at Staples Center, Byrant is unquestionably one of the most well-known and respected NBA players of all time.

2. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Center

Known affectionately as “Kareem the Dream”, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is not only considered one of the best Lakers of all time but also as a top-five player in NBA history. A dynamically dominant two-way superstar, Abdul-Jabbar was a shot blocking machine that was equally proficient on the offensive end and was simply unstoppable at his peak with the Lakers from 1975-1976 (16.9 RPG, 4.1 BPG, 27.7 PPG). Winning all but one of his six NBA Championships with the Lakers, Abdul-Jabbar was instrumental in helping the franchise establish itself as a perennial championship contender. Of course, Abdul-Jabar is most well-known for his graceful yet deadly “Skyhook” shot where he bent his entire body like a straw in one fluid motion while raising the ball and releasing it at the highest point of his arms arching motion. At 7’2″, the skyhook shot was all but impossible to prevent without goaltending, and it was one of the many baffling ways in which Abdul-Jabbar was able to frustrate opposing defenses. As Abdul-Jabar is still the NBA’s leading scorer with 38,387 points, it’s hard to imagine the transcendent athlete not being on any rankings list that involves sensational basketball accomplishments.

1. Magic Johnson, Point Guard

Considered by many to be the best passer of all time, Earvin “Magic” Johnson epitomizes what it means to be a competitive superstar. As a lifelong Laker, Johnson is well-known by both young and old fans for his numerous contributions both and off the court for the legendary organization. Leading the Lakers to five NBA Championship in nine years, Johnson was an instinctually gifted playmaker as he was always able to find the open man on the court (regularly averaged double-digit assists per game). Better still, Johnson was more than capable of producing on the offensive end on his own as he averaged 52% shooting from the field and was confidently clutch whenever he was sent to the free throw line (90.5 FT% during his career). Despite being 6’9″ (a size normally reserved for frontcourt players), Johnson was a graceful and fluid passer that could utilize his size to get to the basket swiftly and aggressively. Although there are other Lakers that may be more impressive from a statistical perspective, Johnson could literally do it all and revolutionized what it meant to be a positionless player that could contribute in a multitude of ways on the basketball court.

He has since starred in other successful films, including the title role in the historical biopic Michael Collins (1996), the 1998 film adaptation of Victor Hugo’s Les Misérables, the epic space opera Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999), the biographical drama Kinsey (2004), the superhero film Batman Begins (2005), the action thriller series Taken (2008–2014), the thriller-survival film The Grey (2011), and the historical drama Silence (2016).

Liam Neeson’s Net Worth 2018: $75 Million

In 1980, filmmaker John Boorman saw him on stage as Lennie Small in Of Mice and Men and offered him the role of Sir Gawain in the Arthurian film, Excalibur. After Excalibur, Neeson moved to London, where he continued working on stage, in small budget films, and in television. Between 1982 and 1987, Neeson starred in five films; most notably alongside Mel Gibson and Anthony Hopkins in 1984’s The Bounty and Robert De Niro and Jeremy Irons in 1986’s The Mission. Neeson guest-starred in the third season of the television series Miami Vice in 1986 and moved to Hollywood to star in more high-profile roles in the next year. That year, he starred alongside Cher and Dennis Quaid in Suspect in a role that brought him critical acclaim. In 1988, he starred alongside Clint Eastwood in the fifth Dirty Harry film “The Dead Pool” in the role of Peter Swan, a horror film director. In 1990, he followed this with a starring role in Sam Raimi’s Darkman. Although the film was successful, Neeson’s subsequent years would not bring him the same recognition. In 1993, he joined Ellis Island co-star and future wife Natasha Richardson in the Broadway play Anna Christie. They also worked together in Nell, released the following year.

In 1999, Neeson starred as Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace. Director George Lucas cast Neeson in the role because he considered the actor to have great skills and presence, describing him as a “master actor, who the other actors will look up to, who has got the qualities of strength that the character demands.” As the first Star Wars film to be released in sixteen years, it was surrounded by a large amount of media anticipation. Despite mixed reviews from critics and fans, The Phantom Menace was an enormous box-office success and remained the most financially successful Star Wars film unadjusted for inflation, until Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015). Neeson’s performance as Qui-Gon received several positive reviews and a Saturn Award nomination. Neeson was later reported to be making an appearance in Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (2005) portraying Qui-Gon again, but ultimately did not. In the animated television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008–14), Neeson reprised the role of Qui-Gon once again by voicing the character in two episodes of the third season and one episode of the sixth season.

Neeson narrated the 2001 documentaries Journey into Amazing Caves, a short film about two scientists who travel around the world to search for material for potential cures, and The Endurance: Shackleton’s Legendary Antarctic Adventure. The latter won awards at a number of film festivals including Best Documentary from both the Chicago Film Critics Association and the National Board of Review.

In 2005, Neeson played Godfrey of Ibelin in Ridley Scott’s epic adventure Kingdom of Heaven, Ra’s al Ghul, one of the main villains in Batman Begins, and Father Bernard in Neil Jordan’s adaptation of Patrick McCabe’s novel, Breakfast on Pluto. In The Simpsons episode “The Father, the Son, and the Holy Guest Star” (2005), he voiced the kindly priest who (briefly) converts Bart and Homer to Catholicism. That same year, he gave his voice to the lion Aslan in the blockbuster fantasy film The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the WardrobeIn 2007, he starred in the American Civil War epic Seraphim Falls.

In 2010, Neeson played Zeus in the remake of the 1981 film, Clash of the Titans. The film went on becoming a huge box office hit, grossing $475 million worldwide. Neeson also starred in Atom Egoyan’s erotic thriller Chloe, theatrically released by Sony Pictures Classics on 26 March 2010. Chloe had enjoyed commercial success and became the Canadian director’s biggest money maker ever. Later the same year, he played John “Hannibal” Smith in the spin-off movie from the television series The A-Team.

During Super Bowl XLIX, Supercell did a Clash of Clans commercial with him playing the game as “AngryNeeson52” and vowing revenge on his opponent “BigBuffetBoy85” while waiting for his scone at a bakery. The appearance was a parody of his role in Taken. In 2016 Neeson narrated the RTÉ One three-part documentary on the Easter Rising, 1916In 2016, he voiced the Monster in the Spanish film A Monster Calls

Bucks vs. Warriors Live Stream: How to Watch NBA Basketball Online

With about half the NBA season completed, there is a game between two playoff teams. These teams are the Milwaukee Bucks and the Golden State Warriors. The Bucks entered the season with the hopes of dethroning the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference. However, the Bucks are currently tied for sixth place in the Eastern Conference and are ten games back of the Celtics for first place. Their opponents in this contest, the Golden State Warriors, have been remarkable this season and look like the favorites to win the NBA Finals for the second straight season. With both teams expected to return to the playoffs, expect an extremely high level of basketball in this contest.

Milwaukee’s success is due to its star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo. Last season,  Antetokounmpo asserted himself as a potential superstar in the NBA and has done nothing but confirm that belief this season. This season, Antetokounmpo leads the Bucks in points, rebounds and assists per game. Antetokounmpo is averaging over 28 points per game along with ten rebounds and 4.6 assists per game. Due to his contributions to the Bucks, Antetokounmpo is a serious candidate to win the MVP award and will need to have another huge game if the Bucks plan on defeating the defending NBA champions on Friday night.

Golden State’s success has been due to its star point guard Stephen Curry and its star forward Kevin Durant. Both players are former MVP award winners and have proven that they are still elite in today’s NBA. This season, Curry is averaging 27.9 points per game along with 6.4 assists per game. Curry’s statistics are even more impressive once one factors in his efficiency from the floor. Curry is shooting an absurd 49.2% from the field and 41.4% from the three point line. However, Curry will not be playing in the game tonight due to an ankle injury so Durant will need to carry the load on offense in this game. This season, Durant is averaging 26.3 points per game along with seven rebounds per game. Similarly to Curry, Durant is also extremely efficient from the floor. He is shooting 50.9% from the field and 40.6% from the behind the arc. With both players on the same roster, the Warriors are almost unbeatable on a regular basis and I expect Durant to have a big game against the Bucks on Friday night.

As for my prediction, I have to side with the Warriors. Although Curry is not playing, I do not believe that the Bucks have the personnel to stop Durant. I think the Warriors will win this contest behind a strong performance from Durant as the Warriors prove once again why they are the favorites to win the championship again this season.

After officially leaving Fifth Harmony in 2016, she released her debut solo single in 2017, “Crying in the Club”, which performed modestly before her second single “Havana” reached number one in several countries worldwide. Cabello’s eponymous debut studio album, Camila (2018), has been well received.

Camila Cabello’s Net Worth 2018: $6 Million

Cabello makes a whopping $6 million as of 2018. Within her short music career, she has already established herself as a lead artist with collaborations such as “I Know What You Did Last Summer” with Shawn Mendes and “Bad Things” with Machine Gun Kelly, both of which reached the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States.

Camila Cabello auditioned for The X Factor in Greensboro, North Carolina. She auditioned with Aretha Franklin’s “Respect”, however, her audition was not aired because the TV show did not get the rights to the song. After elimination during the “boot camp” portion of the process in Miami, Florida, Cabello was called back to the stage along with Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Lauren Jauregui, and Dinah Jane to form the girl group that would later become known as Fifth Harmony. After finishing in third place on the show they signed a joint deal with Syco Music, owned by Simon Cowell, and Epic Records, L.A. Reid’s record label.

On December 18, 2016, the group announced Cabello’s departure, with both parts explaining different circumstances of the exit.

In November 2015, Cabello collaborated with Canadian singer Shawn Mendes on a duet titled “I Know What You Did Last Summer”, a song they wrote together. The single charted at number 20 in the US and 18 in Canada and was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). On October 14, 2016, American rapper Machine Gun Kelly released a joint single with Cabello called “Bad Things”, which reached a peak of number four on the US Billboard Hot 100. Time.com included her on “The 25 Most Influential Teens of 2016” list.

In May 2017, Cabello announced the future release of her first studio album, at the time titled The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving., which she described as “the story of my journey from darkness into light, from a time when I was lost to a time when I found myself again.” Her first solo single “Crying in the Club” was released on May 19, 2017, followed by a performance at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards. She joined Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic World Tour as an opening act for several of its dates. The singer also partnered with clothing brand Guess as the face for their 2017 Fall campaign.

On January 8, 2018, after 7 weeks on the top of Billboard’s Mainstream Top 40, Cabello’s “Havana” became the longest reigning single in the number 1 position for a female artist in a lead role since Taylor Swift’s “I Knew You Were Trouble” which set its own record five years prior, in 2013.

Three Colorado administrators have been indicted over the suspension of a student who reported being sexually assaulted by a teacher to school officials at Prairie Middle School in Aurora, Colorado.

In addition to the suspension, the female student, who identity has been concealed from the public, was also forced to apologize to the accused perpetrator and hug him.

According to FOX31 Denver, the recent indictment listed the three administrators as Principal David Gonzales, Vice Principal AJ MacIntosh and counselor Cheryl Somers-Wegienka of Prairie Middle School in Aurora, Colorado. In addition, the Cherry Creek School District has said that MacIntosh and Gonzales were on administrative leave, with final decisions pending on the court’s decisions; Somers-Wegienka left her position at the school prior to the indictment.

According to Fox News, MacIntosh insists not to have remembered the incident. As the indictment read:

“MacIntosh further claimed that she could not remember her involvement in any aspect of the disciplinary process resulting in CV’s suspension from school, even when presented with official documentation from the school district bearing her signature, and confirming her presence (at a meeting).”

Reportedly, Gonzales has made similar claims, according to the indictment.

Currently, the three face a “misdemeanor charge of failing to report child abuse or neglect.”

What do we know about the original sexual assault case?

Back in 2013, the unidentified teen reported to MacIntosh and Gonzales that she was being sexually assaulted by a social studies teacher identified as Brian C. Vasquez, who worked at the school for around seven years. According to The Denver Channel, the girl was told the claims would hurt Vasquez’s reputation and family, stressing what a “valued teacher” he was towards the school.

According to The Aurora Sentinel, Gonzales pressured the girl to recant the claims, at which point she was suspended as a disciplinary action. As mentioned, she was also eventually forced to apologize to Vasquez in a separate meeting with MacIntosh, Gonzales, and an unidentified counselor.

In August, however, Vasquez was arrested on charges of sexually exploiting students, after he told police he sexually assaulted one student, among others. He now faces 31 felony counts, including sending nude photos to underage students. He has since been placed on administrative leave.

The mudslides were first reported on this past Tuesday, January 9, 2018, in Southern California. Heavy rains caused rivers of mud and debris to run down from hillsides, creating the mudslides in Santa Barbara County.

Gary Pitney gave the following statement:

“At this moment, we are still looking for live victims. The likelihood is increasing that we’ll be finding bodies, not survivors. You have to start accepting the reality of that.”

The mudslides and floodwaters have destroyed around 100 homes, with another 300 residences damaged, within Santa Barbara County. The muddy debris also lead to roads closing.

The mudslides notably occurred weeks after the Thomas Fire, the largest wildfire within California, struck the state.

8 Simple Ways To Make Winter Suck Less

$

If you’re anything like me, you absolutely hate the winter. Let’s be real, winter is not fun. It’s cold, dark and sometimes snowy. Not to mention the fact that it goes on for what feels like years. The days are short and nights are long and winter just seems never-ending.

It’s easy for people to slip into a boring routine in the winter just because they simply don’t feel like doing anything other than what they absolutely need to do. Who feels like going out after a day at work when it’s -7 degrees? I sure don’t. All I want is to go home, get in my bed, and never leave again.

The only good thing about winter is the holidays and once those are over, whats the point? With that being said, a lot of people find themselves with a case of the winter blues around this time of year. The holidays are over, it’s freezing, everyone is giving up on their resolutions and it’s really just not a good time.

If you have the winter blues and don’t see yourself making it through these next few months until the glorious days of summer, don’t worry. You’re not alone and I’m here to help you (and hopefully myself) get through these dark, long winter months! Here are some things you can do to make winter a little more enjoyable, or at least to just survive.

1. Brighten up your environment

Winter seems like a really dark cold couple of months and the darkness in the outside world can easily get in your head and make your entire being feel just as dark. Studies show that sitting next to an artificial light or lightbox for 30 minutes a day can be just as effective as an anti-depressant. If you don’t have access to a lightbox, open up the blinds, sit near the windows or leave your front door open and let the sunlight in. Letting natural light illuminate your house might just work wonders.

2. Eat smart

Food can play a huge part in your mood. Eating a lot of carbs and will temporarily increase your good mood but then cause it to drop, inevitably making you feel worse in the long run. Eating chocolate, for example, can help increase your good mood and even relieve anxiety. Just in case you needed another reason to eat chocolate, there you go.

3. Exercise

Exercising helps your brain to produce serotonin, ultimately boosting your mood after the workout. A 2005 study from Harvard University suggests walking at a fast pace for 35 minutes a day, five days a week can improve symptoms of mild to moderate depression. According to a preliminary study, exercising under bright lights improved general mental health, social functioning and depression symptoms.

4. Plan a vacation

Who doesn’t love a vacation? I’m convinced a good vacation (especially to the beach) can help fix anything. Even if you can’t plan an extravagant island getaway, plan a quick weekend trip. Get out of your routine for a day or two and recharge. A change of scenery can work wonders for the mind.

5. Take vitamin D supplements

Maybe you can’t spend the day on the beach and soak up some vitamin D, but you can take supplements to make sure your body is still getting what it needs. A study from NYU Langone Health showed that taking vitamin D supplements improved peoples moods.

6. Stay social

Although hibernating in bed until April might sound like the most tempting thing in the world, it’s probably better for you to force yourself to stay social. It might feel great to lay around all day in bed, but getting up, getting dressed and being productive is definitely going to make you feel better in the long run.

7. Keep a strict sleep schedule

Sure, sleeping until noon might sound great, but you’ll only feel guilty about it at the end of the day. Making the most out of your day will definitely help you stay ahead of the winter blues.

8. Limit caffeine intake

Even though it may seem like caffeine is the only thing that will get you out of bed, caffeine spikes your insulin levels and drops your blood sugar levels, contributing to a sense of fatigue. That’s pretty much guaranteed to make you feel exhausted.
