Katharine Drexel Elementary School, a school based in Broussard, Louisiana, is on lockdown as local police search for a person that was seen in the area with a firearm

In a statement with KLFY, Chief Brannon Decou said that, according to a resident’s description, the person reported to police was a black male wearing dark colored jeans and a navy blue jacket. According to the same network, Joe Craig with the Lafayette Parish School System added that it had been a parent in the neighborhood saw the individual and contact the police.

Students had been arriving at school as the lockdown was put into place; they were allowed into the school by police escorts.

UPDATE: According to News 15, the lockdown had been lifted, with police finding no guns or weapons on people questioned in the area.

Two East Carolina University fraternities were shut down by their national organizations after investigations into the fraternity members’ conduct. The investigations looked into alcohol violations and hazing-related incidents.

Tau Kappa Epsilon International Fraternity and the Delta Chi National Fraternity announced the indefinite closure of its ECU chapters effective immediately. TKE announced that the closure of its chapter at ECU would last for four years until the end of fall 2021. The closures of the two fraternities are unrelated.

A statement from TKE national fraternity organization said that the “actions of the local fraternity do not align with our principles of love, charity and esteem.”

Delta Chi National Fraternity released a similar statement, saying hazing by members was the reason the chapter was closed. “These actions by chapter members go against our expectations of membership and do not align with the Oath of Delta Chi,” stated Keith Shriver, executive director & CEO of Delta Chi National.

ECU Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Virginia Hardy said the university supports the decisions and has been “in constant communication” with the national headquarters of the two fraternities.

“These closures are a result of violations of both university and fraternity headquarters’ policies regarding alcohol and hazing,” Hardy said in a statement. “We have been working collaboratively with staff and volunteers from both organizations to investigate and resolve these issues. We are pleased that we have been able to intervene proactively and work in partnership with these two groups.”

“Our goal at ECU is to maintain an active, vibrant fraternity and sorority community grounded in the values of service, leadership, campus involvement and student success,” she said. “We are committed to student safety and work actively to educate our students on critical issues facing Greek-letter organizations nationwide. We are also committed to holding organizations and students accountable for actions that do not meet expectations. We will continue our efforts, along with national/international headquarters, to strengthen our campus fraternities, sororities and all student organizations as a key part of the student experience at ECU.”

This is the latest fraternity suspension in the last year, as schools such as Indiana University, the University of Michigan, Ohio State University, Texas State, Florida State, Ball State, Louisiana State and Penn State have all suspended fraternities.

Bianca Blanco, an actress known for her roles in films such as American Romance, Teen Star Academy, and In Dubious Battle, made headlines after she wore red to the 2018 Golden Globes despite the fact that most of the attendees were wearing black in support of the #TimesUp movement.

The 36-year-old actress spoke to Fox News following the 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards, saying she didn’t mind skipping the suggested dress code. Hard to blame her, as she looked absolutely stunning in her red gown.

“I love red,” she explained. “Wearing red does not mean I am against the movement. I applaud and stand by the courageous actresses that continue to break the cycle of abuse through their actions and fashion style choices. It is one of many factors leading women to a safer place because of their status. I am excited about the #TimesUp movement; true change is long overdue.”

However, the California-born talent is aware her latest style choice may garner criticism among women who may feel she should be taking a public stand against sexual abuse in Hollywood.

“It hurts my feelings, but I guess it’s part of being in our industry,” said Blanco. “We have people who appreciate you and others that don’t. The designer Atria Couture did an amazing job with my dress and I appreciate them for dressing me.”

Making a sound point, Blanco stated further that “shaming is part of the problem.”

The black outfits worn by the celebrities, both male and female, coincided with the launch of the Time’s Up, a legal defense fund for both women and men who believe they’ve been discriminated against or harassed in the workplace.

So far, more than 300 members of the entertainment business have signed a “letter of solidarity”.

A Louisiana teacher was arrested after speaking out during a school board meeting about the district superintendent’s pay raise. Deyshia Hargrave, 32, is a teacher who works at Rene Rost Middle School in Vermilion Parish, Louisiana. She was taken out of a school board meeting in handcuffs Monday night after voicing her frustrations over the superintendent’s $38,000 pay increase and 3-year-contract expansion. She said that teachers haven’t received a pay bump in years and, “I feel like it’s a slap in the face to all the teachers, cafeteria workers and any other support staff we have. We work very hard, with very little, to maintain the salaries we have.”

What Happened?

On Monday night, Hargrave ended up in handcuffs as a result of her conduct during the school board meeting. According to KATC-TV, Hargrave first addressed the school board to discuss teacher salaries and pay raises during the public comments section of the meeting. After asking several questions, the board president Anthony Fontana attempted to silence Hargrave, ruling her questions to be out of order, saying that the public comments section of the meeting was not a Q&A session. When Hargrave was called on a second time to speak, she still asked questions, which resulted in her being removed from the meeting by an Abbeville city marshal.

According to KATC, the teacher was then booked into the Abbeville city jail. She was charged with remaining after being forbidden and resisting an officer. However, she is now free from jail after posting bail. The school board spoke with the news station, KATC, and informed them that they will not be pressing charges against the teacher. Although, they didn’t clarify whether or not charges will be dropped pertaining to her arrest Monday night.

School board member Kibbie Pillette informed KADN-TV that during the meeting, the board voted by a 5-3 margin to grant the Vermilion Parish superintendent Jerome Puyau a 3-year contract extension, along with a $38,000 raise. During the meeting, Hargrave questioned the board’s decision to give a pay raise to the superintendent when the teachers haven’t received a pay bump in years (according to this teacher’s statement).

“I have a serious issue with a superintendent or any person of leadership getting any type of raise,” said Hargrave when addressing the school board, in a the video posted by Chris Rosa. “I feel like it’s a slap in the face to all the teachers, cafeteria workers and any other support staff we have. We work very hard, with very little, to maintain the salaries we have.”

Several other teachers were also in attendance and were also frustrated over the superintendent’s pay raise, according to a report.

The outspoken teacher who was arrested is an English language arts teacher at Rene Rost Middle School. The school district and other authorities have yet to comment on the arrest of this teacher. The embattled professor, Deyshia Hargrave, also hasn’t commented on the arrest.

On Tuesday, January 9, 2018, a majority of people who use Slack suffered outages with the product. The official Slack twitter page sent out a Tweet to address concerns over their website being currently inaccessible for many users. The Slack twitter page wrote, “If you’re having issues connecting to Slack: we’re working on getting things back to normal with top priority. Thanks kindly for your patience.”

According to DownDetector.com, problems with Slack has spiked within the hour, many are currently commenting on that page’s message board. Also according to Slack’s System Status website, “a majority of customers are unable to connect to slack. The website said that they’re “aware of the issue and are working to resolve it as quickly as possible.”

According to DownDector.com’s Slack’s outage map, most of the people affected live on the northeast coast and southwest coast of the United States.

Update (01/09/18; 2:28 P.M. CST): Slack’s official Twitter page announced that they have resolved the issue for many of their subscribers. The twitter page sent out a message, saying, “Many folks should be able to reconnect again. If you’re still having trouble, hang tight — we’re focused on getting you back online as soon as possible. Thank you.”

The Slack Twitter page sent out personalized responses to users who are happy to have their Slack up and running again. Twitter user, Kayla Brewer wrote, “We’re back up and running! Thanks for being awesome!” @SlackHQ responded by writing, “We’re extremely sorry for the disruption to your workday, but so glad to hear you’re back online, Kayla.”

Ohio State University has suspended Tau Kappa Epsilon for three years after an investigation found violations of the student code of conduct.

According to reports, the university’s investigation found that the school’s TKE chapter was guilty of hazing, endangering behavior and improper use of alcohol.

In a statement on Tuesday, a spokesman for Ohio State confirmed the suspension.

“We hope that Tau Kappa Epsilon will successfully return to Ohio State’s campus following the completion of its suspension and the terms outlined to them,” said David Isaacs, an OSU spokesman.

Alex Baker, a spokesman for the Tau Kappa Epsilon national organization, said that they would appeal the alleged student code of conduct violations.

“Our expectation is that the appeal process is taken seriously and officials have not pre-determined an outcome without completing the rights afforded to this student organization,” Baker said.

TKE’s suspension comes just a few months after the university suspended all of its 37 fraternities governed by the Interfraternity Council.

The development comes just months after Ohio State suspended all of its 37 fraternities governed by the Interfraternity Council. There were at least 11 fraternity chapters under investigation when all chapters were suspended in November.

The university said it would still allow fraternities to conduct “essential activities” which could include chapter meetings but any social events were not permitted. Since the initial blanket-suspension, Ohio State has slowly begun approving plans for fraternity events again, according to the school’s greek life website.

At least seven fraternities have been approved to host recruitment events again, three have been approved for new member activities and just one has been approved to host social events again, according to the university.

This is the latest fraternity suspension in the last year, as schools such as Indiana University, the University of Michigan, Ohio State University, Texas State, Florida State, Ball State, East Carolina Univesity, Louisiana State and Penn State have all suspended fraternities.

Alberta Padilla, a 52-year old former teacher at Johnson High School in San Antonio, was arrested for allegedly having a sexual relationship with one of her students.

Padilla, 52, reportedly told police she had romantic feelings for the unidentified boy, now a sophomore, when she began tutoring him in June of 2016.

According to the arrest warrant, Padilla told investigators they eventually began having a sexual relationship which continued for more than a year. The affidavit also stated that Padilla bought clothing, food and a cell phone for the boy and often allowed him to stay at her home.

The affidavit does say that investigators questioned Padilla’s underage daughter who told them she suspected something was going on and mentioned it to another relative.

It says the girl, at one point, recorded a phone conversation the boy had with her relative.

She told police she overheard him expressing that he had also had feelings for Padilla and trying to convince the relative not to report it authorities.

Padilla was arrested on a charge of improper relationship between an educator and student.

This is the latest in a string of teacher/student sex scandals over the last couple of years. In November, Tennessee teacher Janet Smothers was arrested. Former nutrition teacher LaToya Parker was also arrested for a relationship with a student. Florida teacher Caroline Lawson was charged with sexual assault. 26-year-old Allyson Moran was also arrested for similar crimes. The 23-year-old high school teacher Katherine Ross Ridenhour was also arrested for an inappropriate relationship.

Furthermore, Hunter Day, 22, was also arrested after a sting operation. Megan Kotarski was also arrested on similar charges. Michelle Schiffer, a 23-year-old history teacher in Texas, was also charged and arrested for allegedly having sex with a teenage student. 29-year-old Alyssia Marie Reddy was arrested in Maryland for her crimes in New Jersey. Samantha Fitzgerland, a 28-year-old, was most recently arrested and charged. Jordan Ondish was arrested for her inappropriate relationship with a 19-year-old, while 28-year-old Samantha Fitzpatrick was arrested on similar charges.

Nicole Marie Andrews was arrested as well. 32-year-old Jessica Langford was arrested and charged with sexual assault-related crimes as well. A teacher from Oregon, Andrea Baber, was accused of having a sexual relationship with a student.  Robin Dunlap, a teacher in Florida, was arrested for sending illicit photos to a 15-year-old boy in Texas. Teacher and tennis coach Jennifer Olajire-Aro was also charged. 42-year-old Heather Butts of California was arrested on a second-degree felony charge. Nancy Leigh Ann Brann, a former Christian school teacher, was arrested for having sex with a student. Coine Audiat pleaded no contest to having sex with a minor in 2016. 23-year-old Darci Lake was arrested for an inappropriate relationship.

Olivia Nova, famous for her work in the adult film industry, was found dead in  Las Vegas. According to Xbiz, Nova died on Sunday, January 7. At this moment, Nova’s cause of death remains unknown.

The 20-year-old Nova began her career in the adult film industry in March 2017. Nova said that a month after she joined the porn industry, her boyfriend committed suicide. Nova reflected upon her boyfriend’s death on Twitter, saying that her boyfriend had a problem with heroin and had died of an overdose.

Nova’s agency took to  Twitter commenting on on the star’s death on Twitter, writing, “While only represented by Direct Models for a short period of time, we came to know Olivia as a beautiful girl with a very sweet and gentle personality. It is understood next of kin have been informed. Another one, way too young we are beyond shocked and most certainly, completely out of the blue. Rest in peace, sweet angel.”

Who Is Olivia Nova?

Olivia Nova was a 20-year-old porn star who passed away on Sunday, January 7. On her Twitter bio, she describes herself as a vegan, a “dog mom,” and “Oh year and I like wine so don’t try and stop me.” Her cause of death remains a mystery.

The former starlet has performed a wide range of adult studio production companies, including Vixen, Naughty America, FTV Girls, New Sensations, Brazzers, Digital Sin and Girlfriends Films.

Nova was reportedly all alone for the holidays. On Christmas Day, she wrote on Twitter, ““Alone on the holidays and want to give a fan a holiday call. Would lift my spirits.”

In one video interview with photographer Dave Naz she said that she often thought about life outside of porn. She also told the photographer that she was “shaking” before taking her clothes off for her first porn shoot. However, she said she was “comfortable” within seconds. Nova also said that she planned to return to school within 10 years, and that  “I also have this huge project, it’s non profit, that I want to be a part of.”

She also told the photographer about her aspiring singing career, and that she was working on a debut album “with a pretty big person.” That person’s identity has not been publicly revealed.

She also told the photographer that she cried during the Amy Winehouse documentary, Amy. At the age of 27, Winehouse died as a result of alcohol poisoning on July 23, 2011.

Nova said, “I watched it on my way to Hawaii and everybody was looking at me because I was crying on the plane.”

On December 13, Nova shot down rumors that she was taking heroin. She almost made not that her boyfriend died of a heroin overdose in April 2017, right before her birthday.

One fan responded to Nova’s cyber-bullying by writing, “Seriously why do peeps so want to infiltrate in a performer’s private life..so idiotic..sorry to hear about ur loss Olivia..take care!”

Another fan wrote, “I guess we have learned nothing from the tragedy of @AugustAmesxxx so very sad,” referencing August Ames, a porn star who committed suicide as a result of cyber-bullying on December 5, 2017.

Becky Lynch returns to the ring tonight to seek revenge on Ruby Riott of The Riott Squad. Lynch was taken out of action by the Riott Squad in late November and has been on the shelf ever since. She wasn’t seen on WWE television again until last week’s episode of SmackDown Live when she saved her allies Naomi and Charlotte Flair from the wrath of The Riott Squad. Tonight, she steps back into the ring to battle the villainous raven-haired Ruby Riott in Lynch’s first match back since the 2017 Survivor Series.

Who is Ruby Riott?

Ruby Riott is the leader of The Riott Squad who has run roughshod over WWE’s blue brand ever since their arrival on the November 21st (2017) edition of WWE SmackDown Live.

Riott has been touring the independent circuit since 2010. Over the years, she wrestled for promotions such as Chikara, Shine Wrestling, World Wonder Ring Stardom, Ohio Valley Wrestling, and more. She’s won numerous championships, including the Shimmer Tag Team Championship, the AAW Heritage Championship, the RCW Heavyweight Champion, the OVW Women’s Championship, and more.

She was officially signed by WWE on December 15, 2016. She made her in-ring debut a month later at an NXT live event. She made her NXT television debut on March 22, going by the name of Ruby Riot. When she arrived on the WWE main roster in fall 2017, she altered her in-ring name to Ruby Riott.

Her full name is Dori Elizabeth Prange. She was born on January 9, 1991, in Edwardsburg, Michigan. She turns 27 years old today. Happy birthday, Ruby Riott!

Who is Becky Lynch?

Becky Lynch is the first-ever WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion. She has been with the WWE since 2013, first assigned to their farm league NXT based in Florida. On July 13, 2015, Lynch was promoted to the main roster, appearing alongside “The Boss” Sasha Banks and “The Queen” Charlotte Flair. Together, the trio ushered in WWE’s Women’s Revolution.

Lynch’s real name is Rebecca Quin. She was born on January 30, 1987, in Limerick, Ireland. As a child, she enjoyed horseback riding, swimming, and basketball. The Irish-born superstar now resides in Los Angeles, California.

At the age of 15, Becky Lynch made her professional wrestling debut (under her real name). Lynch hasn’t looked back since and, over the years, she has transformed herself into the Irish Lass Kicker, becoming a mainstay on WWE television. In 2016, she ranked number four on PWI Female 50.

Kisha Nuckols, a 40-year-old former Indiana substitute teacher who had sex with a 17-year-old student at her home while her husband and children were upstairs, has been arrested after she was accused of violating her probation.

Nuckols, 40, was taken into custody Sunday, January 7, after Hancock County prosecutors requested a warrant for her arrest after she failed to register a cell phone number with the Sex Offender Registry.

According to Fox News, this is the second time in the last six months that the married mom was accused of violating her probation. Previously, Nuckols was jailed in August 2017 after she admitting to drinking alcohol and using an unregistered Facebook.

This marks Kisha Nuckols’ second arrest in six months for violating probation. In July, officials found an updated Facebook account for her that had not been registered with the Sex Offender Registry. They also found she had been drinking alcohol, which is against the terms of her probation. Fourteen bottles of alcohol were found in the home.

The terms of her probation included not using any social media applications or sites, as well as accessing the internet. In that case, she received 30 days in the Hancock County Jail before returning to Community Corrections.

This time, court documents show Nuckols was found with an unregistered smartphone. She’s being held without bond until her next court hearing. Nuckols was sentenced to two years of probation and two years of home detention when she avoided jail time in Nov. 2016.

According to prosecutors, while working as a substitute teacher at Mount Vernon High School, Nuckols sent a 17-year-old student explicit photos of herself and the two later had sex in Nuckols’ home several times. Nuckols confessed to police and even admitted to having inappropriate relationships with multiple students.

This is the latest in a string of teacher/student sex scandals over the last couple of years. In November, Tennessee teacher Janet Smothers was arrested. Former nutrition teacher LaToya Parker was also arrested for a relationship with a student. Florida teacher Caroline Lawson was charged with sexual assault. 26-year-old Allyson Moran was also arrested for similar crimes. The 23-year-old high school teacher Katherine Ross Ridenhour was also arrested for an inappropriate relationship.

Furthermore, Hunter Day, 22, was also arrested after a sting operation. Megan Kotarski was also arrested on similar charges. Michelle Schiffer, a 23-year-old history teacher in Texas, was also charged and arrested for allegedly having sex with a teenage student. 29-year-old Alyssia Marie Reddy was arrested in Maryland for her crimes in New Jersey. Samantha Fitzgerland, a 28-year-old, was most recently arrested and charged. Jordan Ondish was arrested for her inappropriate relationship with a 19-year-old, while 28-year-old Samantha Fitzpatrick was arrested on similar charges.

Nicole Marie Andrews was arrested as well. 32-year-old Jessica Langford was arrested and charged with sexual assault-related crimes as well. A teacher from Oregon, Andrea Baber, was accused of having a sexual relationship with a student.  Robin Dunlap, a teacher in Florida, was arrested for sending illicit photos to a 15-year-old boy in Texas. Teacher and tennis coach Jennifer Olajire-Aro was also charged. 42-year-old Heather Butts of California was arrested on a second-degree felony charge. Nancy Leigh Ann Brann, a former Christian school teacher, was arrested for having sex with a student. Coine Audiat pleaded no contest to having sex with a minor in 2016. 23-year-old Darci Lake was arrested for an inappropriate relationship. Valeria Costadoni was also arrested due to a relationship with her student.

Hilary Dattilo, a 30-year-old Ohio high school teacher, has been accused of having a sexual relationship with a female student.

According to police Dattilo, 30, was charged on Tuesday, January 9 for sexual battery and contributing to the delinquency of a minor after she was allegedly was having sex with a student at Hamilton High School.

Dattilo, who also coached volleyball at Hamilton High School, allegedly engaged in sexual encounters with the student off-campus between August 3 and December 8, 2017.

The sexual battery charge is alleged to have occurred between Nov. 1 and Nov. 22 and the contributing charge between Oct. 1 and Dec. 18, according to the direct indictment handed down by a Butler County grand jury on Monday.

Dattilo, of Monroe, turned herself into police. At arraignment Tuesday she pleaded not guilty and was given a $5,000 bond with the ability to post 10 percent. She was taken into custody by order of Magistrate Harold Reed.

The alleged crimes involve a female student, and the alleged encounters occurred off school property, according to Hamilton Police Sgt. Brian Robinson. Robinson said parents reported a possible inappropriate relationship between Dattilo and the student to a school staff member and police began an investigation right away.

Dattilo is being held in custody on $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court February 8.

Reggie Hilts has been identified as the 31-year-old sergeant with the Abbeville City Marhsal’s office who cuffed and arrested Vermilion Parish teacher Deyshia Hargrave.

Hargrave, a Louisiana teacher, was arrested after speaking out during a school board meeting about the district superintendent’s pay raise. She was taken out of a school board meeting in handcuffs on Monday, January 8.

Since the incident, Hilts has not seen a change in his employment status. According to the New York Times, Hilts is a deputy city marshal but also works as a school resource officer in the Vermilion Parish School District. There is currently a petition online called I Stand With Deyshia Hargrave that calls for Hilts’ job.

“The security guard, Reggie Hilts, followed her and then pushed her to the ground and put handcuffs on her. She pleaded with the officer to relax and hear her out but he was NOT having it! What he did was wrong and it NEEDS to be addressed,” the petition reads.

In the video, Hargrave is seen being asked to leave multiple times before Hilts intervenes.

School Board President Anthony Fontana said that Hargrave was “interrupting the board meeting”, claiming that Hargrave would not allow such an action in her classroom.

“She wouldn’t allow that to happen in a classroom, and now she’s going to pull that stunt. A board member was getting ready to speak when she cut into him. That’s when the officer acted. I think he acted properly,” Fontana said.

The Abbeville Police Department said in a statement, “In response to the numerous requests for the teacher’s booking information, the Abbeville Police Department is cooperating as directed by law. The Abbeville Police Department did not arrest the teacher. Due to the location of her arrest and the arresting agency’s jurisdiction, which includes the city limits of Abbeville, she was booked in and bonded from the local police department.”

In a 5 to 3 vote, the Vermilion Parish school board passed the vote to increase Superintendent Jerome Puyau’s salary, which is what Hargrave was protesting.

Hargrave is reportedly seeking legal advice at this time.

With the initial round of the NFL Playoffs being a fun-filled and enticingly unique experience in terms of the divergent styles of play, the second weekend of the NFL Postseason should offer even more contentious affairs as the stakes become that much bigger. While the AFC side of the bracket looks to be completely predictable with Tennessee and Jacksonville being the respective underdogs to New England and Pittsburgh, time and again fans have witnessed the impossible occur on a fairly regular basis in this sport. Remeber when the Baltimore Ravens overcame the Denver Broncos on the road a few years ago? How about when the underrated Giants denied the Patriots their perfect season in the Super Bowl? These are just a couple of the many instances where underestimated teams have pulled off miraculous upsets en route to improbable Super Bowl victories. Will this weekend offer the same excitement that was prevalent during the initial week of the playoffs? Let’s find out.

Atlanta Falcons vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Although you could view this contest and assume that this could be a high scoring affair, this matchup actually has all the makings of a gritty defensive slugfest. With both teams ranked in the top ten in rushing yards allowed per game, it would be shocking to see any running backs amassing anywhere near 100 rushing yards in this contest. On top of that, both teams are ranked in the top eight when it comes to total points allowed this season, meaning that points will be extremely difficult to come by regardless of how each team decides to attack the other. Still, neither defense is perfect and will be susceptible from time to time to certain offensive plays. For the Falcons, it is paramount that they find a way to utilize wide receivers Julio Jones and Mohamed Sanu in the deep passing game as the Eagles rank 17th in the league in passing yards allowed per game. Comparatively speaking, the Eagles will have to contend with a slightly better secondary in Atlanta (rank 12th in passing yards allowed per game), but will still have opportunities to sling the ball downfield and over the middle thanks to the presences of Alshon Jeffrey (13.8 yards per reception) and Zach Ertz (824 receiving yards, 11.1 yards per reception). Ultimately, this game will come down to who can pass the ball effectively from start to finish, which is something that will be tremendously difficult to accomplish. However, the veteran experience and proven ability of Matt Ryan against an average Eagles secondary will be the deciding factor in what should be a physical and hard-fought contest.

Final Score: Falcons 20 Eagles 17 Spread: Atlanta -3.0

Tennessee Titans vs. New England Patriots

Considering the Titans literally limped their way into the playoffs and had to play in one of the most difficult environments in Arrowhead Stadium, it is simply astounding that this resilient Tennessee team has been able to get this far. Thanks to some late-game heroics by quarterback Marcus Mariota and a resilient second-half performance by his team’s defense, the Titans were able to overcome a 21-3 halftime deficit and shocked the Chiefs on the road. With all of that being said, the once forgettable Titans will have to pull off another miracle of epic proportions if they hope to overcome the explosive offense of the New England Patriots on the road. Passing for 276.1 yards per game (2nd in the NFL), scoring 28.6 points per game (2nd in the NFL), and allowing just 18.5 points per game (5th in the NFL), the Patriots have been dominant on both sides of the football this season. Furthermore, the Titans defense will face an incredibly difficult challenge in covering the intimidating physical specimen that is tight end Rob Gronkowski (15.7 yards per reception, 18 receptions for 20+ yards). The only area where the Patriots are truly weak is their porous passing defense as they have allowed 251.3 passing yards per game this season. Even if Mariota and the Titans offense can put together a stellar performance through the air during the entire game, it’s nearly inconceivable to imagine the Titans passing attack out slinging one of the best quarterbacks of all time in Tom Brady.

Final Score: Titans 23 Patriots 35 Spread: New England -13.5

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

The last time these two opponents faced each other in October, the ferocious defense of the Jacksonville Jaguars had their way with the Pittsburgh Steelers as Ben Roethlisberger threw five interceptions en route to a 30-9 Jaguars victory. However, since then the Steelers signal caller has thrown two interceptions on just one occasion and has thrown for multiple touchdown passes in all but two games since losing to Jacksonville. Obviously, the Steelers have a plethora of elite and dynamic receivers to pass to in Antonio Brown (1533 receiving yards), rookie JuJu Smith-Schuster (15.8 yards per receptions) and Martavis Bryant (12.1 yards per reception). For the Jaguars to defeat the Steelers again, the solution is quite simple: shut down the Steelers passing game. Allowing just 16.8 points per game (2nd in the NFL) while stifling opposing passers to just 169.9 passing yards per game (1st in the NFL), the Jaguars are relentless and highly effective at shutting down elite wide receivers and can rush the quarterback consistently on practically every down (55 sacks this season). While many will expect this to be a game heavily influenced by a sense revenge for the Steelers which will result in a comfortable victory, I actually see this one coming down to the waning seconds in the fourth quarter with kicker Chris Boswell sealing the deal with another clutch field goal kick (leads his team in points scored with 142).

Final Score: Jaguars 21 Steelers 24 Spread: Pittsburgh -7.5

New Orleans Saints vs. Minnesota Vikings

Location: U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, Minnesota

Against the Carolina Panthers last week, the New Orleans Saints were able to gash their opponent through the air as quarterback Drew Brees completed 23 of his 33 pass attempts for 376 yards and two touchdowns. Despite rushing for just 41 yards, the Saints were miraculously able to dismantle the Panthers defense with a vintage performance by Brees. However, the Saints will unlikely have the same success passing the football as they did last week as they will face a Minnesota Vikings secondary that has only allowed 192.4 passing yards per game (2nd in the NFL), which has also stifled their opponents to a league-best 15.8 points per game. Offensively, the Vikings have been surprisingly effective at both passing (234.6 passing yards per game) and rushing (122.3 rushing yards per game) the football throughout this year. In particular, the breakout season for quarterback Case Keenum has been nothing short of remarkable as the once back up passer has completed 67.6% of his passes this season while throwing 22 touchdowns to just seven interceptions. Of course, Keenum’s impressive success has somewhat been predicated on a dynamic rushing attack led by Latavius Murray (eight rushing touchdowns) and Jerick McKinnon (991 all-purpose yards, 8.3 yards per receptions). Although the Vikings have a noticeable advantage on defense, the Saints have far and away the better quarterback with two running backs that have been much more productive than the capable albeit less explosive rushers of the Vikings.

Okay, we’ll admit, this one has us a little excited. Yes, reboots are a symptom of an overall lack of creativity in Hollywood, but The Office is one of the funniest and most quotable shows of the past decade, so we’d be lying if we told you we weren’t at least curious about what NBC is planning.

In December, news broke that NBC was in early talks to revive The Office, the hit comedy that ran from 2005-2013.  At the time, the only details known about the project are that the series’ original star Steve Carell would not be returning as Michael Scott, however, the show would “continue the misadventures of the officemates at the Dunder-Mifflin paper company in Scranton, Pennsylvania.”

Furthermore, rumors have it that the search for a new Dunder Mifflin Regional is already underway. However, one person who hasn’t heard any word about a reboot is Jenna Fischer, the actress who played Pam Beasley for the show’s entire run.

“I don’t know anything about ‘The Office’ revival,” she said Monday at the Television Critics Association’s Winter Press Tour. “I know as much as anyone else.” As for whether she’d return as Pam, she says she hasn’t been asked.

“I think that’s for networks to figure out if I were to be asked, but I haven’t been approached about it, I don’t want to think about it,” she said.

She then quickly added, “But I love Pam. Oh my God I love Pam.”

The Office initially featured Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer and B. J. Novak as the main cast but underwent numerous changes to its ensemble cast during its award-winning eight-year run. That said, if a reboot of The Office is going to be legitimate, it needs to bring back as much of the original cast as possible.
