Okay, so, I guess LOVE Magazine has completely thrown their “Stay Strong” theme out of the window because this is the second day in a row that the video has absolutely NOTHING to do with their supposed them. After 19 straight days of some of the world’s most famous women exercising in some way, shape, or form, LOVE has now dropped two straight curveballs that don’t relate in the slightest.

All that said, I still absolutely *love* (wink wink) LOVE Magazine’s Advent Calendar, no matter what the theme may be, especially when Alessandra Ambrosio is involved.

Appearing in Day 21 of LOVE Magazine’s always spectacular advent calendar, Alessandra Ambrosio’s video is a departure from the previous exercise inspired videos. But just because it’s different, doesn’t mean it’s worse, especially when compared to lame Kate Upton‘s super lame Tennis video from the day before.

With just a couple of days left until Christmas and most of the world’s most beautiful women appearing in the calendar, we can’t wait to see what big guns LOVE pulls out for the final couple of days.

Right? Like, 2016 sucked, 2017 was honestly worse, so it only makes sense that 2018 would be the year artificial intelligence achieve singularity. For the uninitiated, singularity is the theory that one day — without any warning — AI will trigger runaway technological growth, resulting in unfathomable changes to human civilization. I know people are always using The Terminator in their robot references, but the idea of singularity can best be explained by those movies: what if SkyNet realizes it doesn’t need us anymore and decides to make a move.

Yet despite this, scientists all across the globe seem determined to push humanity to the brink with our ever-advancing artificial technologies. Whether it be sex robots, Siri & Alexa, that nightmare fueled robot Sofia, humanity sends bound to be the creator of it’s own destroyed.

Take these Japanese scientists — or doomsday architects, depending on your perspective — who have invented a robot that can sweat. I get that sweating in and of itself is not big deal, but it’s yet another characteristic that makes these robots more lifelike. Just look at these f*ckers!

Researchers at the University of Tokyo built two models of the humanoids, called Kengoro and Kenshiro, recreating the entire musculoskeletal system.

They used aluminum, steel and plastic as a frame, and designed synthetic joints and ligaments to enable the robots to move. The pair have rib cages and flexible spines, as well as an artificial central nervous system that monitors balance and stability.

Kengoro and Kenshiro have also been equipped with high tech processing power to give them the ability to act and react independently.

Kit Harington, unfortunately, may suffer from the Kramer-syndrome. What is the Kramer-syndrome, you ask? Let me explain.

If you’ve ever seen or heard of Seinfeld, you know exactly who Kramer is … and that’s the problem. Michael Richards, the actor who played Kramer, became so famous for that one role that he became synonymous with it, and I fear that Harington is headed down that path, especially after watching Gunpowder, where I kept thinking to myself “that’s Jon Snow wearing different clothes”.

Speaking with Deadline about his miniseries Gunpowder (eh — it was alright at best), Game Of Thrones, and life after Jon Snow, Kit Harington gave a lot of juicy details about the final season of HBO’s epic fantasy series.

Harington chatted with Deadline about the HBO series, based on George R.R. Martin’s novels, coming to an epic conclusion.

“They’re going really well, mate. These days are long and a grind but we’ve got the first section out of the way, and all is well. All is good.”

Harington discussed that he and the cast feel a certain amount of pressure to keep audiences engaged and excited.

“…Whereas before, every year there’s always been a bit of pressure, this season is one where we could easily let people down. Obviously, we don’t want to do that so we’re very much stepping up everyone’s game which is very apparent, at least to me. We’re all growing a bit and I think everyone’s attention is very focused on what we’re doing in a way that it’s always been, but it may be more apparent. I love it, you know. It’s also I think that thing of just trying to get everything you can out of it while we’re still doing it. Really kind of explore every inch of it.”

Harington also got personal when he shared how he felt about the series and character exiting his life.

“Honestly, it’s weird. So, to me, that question is a weird one and a valid one too. The “how are you” feeling thing is a strange one because I’m not sure that you’re feeling one particular thing at any one time when you’re present in it. Really you’re kind of overwhelmed to pay much attention. So, it’s all after the fact, you know. So I look back at the ‘Battle of the Bastards’ episode now and I understand what it meant and what it was to do it, but at the time you’re just getting on with the job. So Dominic, I don’t know what I’m feeling, is what I’m trying to say. I will say I think I’m understandably more affected by it than I thought I would be.”

Although it sounds like he is ready to move on, Harington does believe it will be quite emotional coming to terms with the end.

“You know I wasn’t quite cynical about things, I’m quite straightforward and English. But, really, eight years of your life is a long time to connect with anything. I didn’t know at the beginning if this would be a show that no one would watch or if it would be a show that a lot of people would watch. And I’ve never been in a situation, a show, that’s lasted this long. In my life it’s pretty significant thing that’s happened to me, and coming to the end of it is understandably quite emotional.”

As for future plans, it sounds like the How to Train Your Dragon alum is keeping them open.

“Yeah. You know, I don’t feel like I should jump into anything straightaway. I think next that I have to find the right thing. I’m going to pick and choose my roles carefully, and spend some more time with Rose (Leslie), who will then be my wife. For God’s sake I think the world has seen quite enough of us going back over the last 10 years. You don’t want to saturate them with more of it, do you?”

The final season of Game Of Thrones is expected to air early in 2019.

The City of Clemson voted on Monday, December 21, that if the University of Clemson makes it to the National Championship game, they will repeal the town’s open container law. This is a college kids dream: being able to walk down the middle of the street double fisting the cheapest beer they can find while getting ready for the big game.

If Clemson beats Alabama, it’s going to look something like this over in South Carolina.

Clemson will have to beat Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide to make their students’ dreams come true. This will be no easy task and the Tigers are already playing with the pressure of being defending champs, so what’s the pressure of winning one game to make your whole entire campus love you forever? Probably nothing to Dabo, who is one of the top coaches in the entire country.

Back to the story.

Very under the radar Clemson had actually done something similar last year when the team won the National Championship, they repealed the law the following day. When I first heard this headline I thought to myself, “That’s so sick — disbanding a law because you know your football team is legit and letting your students drink where they want is a great boost to school moral it’s a win-win.” Many of you, including myself, probably figured it was a permanent removal of the law altogether — well we were dead wrong.

The council is temporarily suspending the law starting on January 8th at 6 P.M. and it will go until the night ends. Also, all those over 21 must wear a wristband and only drinks bought at establishments are allowed under the open container policy nothing can be bought in. So basically, Clemson is just trying to contain the absolute raging that will be going on during the National Title Game.

In the end, this is still going to be an awesome time for all the Clemson Students, and for those upperclassmen, they will get a chance to enjoy the freedom of walking the streets pounding beers!

Clemson Football Team Rescues Student Who Crashed Car Into Ravine

Following an investigation into the university’s use of Affirmative Action, the United States Justice Department has concluded that Harvard University is “out of compliance” with federal law.

According to CNN, two letters from the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division indicate that Harvard has” challenged the department’s authority to investigate”.  A potential suit between the Department of Justice and Harvard University would be the first major legal test of affirmative action policies under the Trump administration.

Harvard’s attorney, Seth Waxman, did not immediately return their request for comment.

The Justice Department’s interest in Harvard’s policies stems from a 2015 federal complaint that accuses the school of discriminating against Asian-Americans in admissions. When The New York Times reported in August that the Justice Department was looking for lawyers to work on “possible litigation related to intentional race-based discrimination in college and university admissions,” the department said that the posting was related to an ongoing case rolled over from the Obama administration.

“The posting sought volunteers to investigate one administrative complaint filed by a coalition of 64 Asian-American associations in May 2015 that the prior administration left unresolved,” Justice Department spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores said in a statement at the time.

“The complaint alleges racial discrimination against Asian-Americans in a university’s admissions policy and practices. This Department of Justice has not received or issued any directive, memorandum, initiative, or policy related to university admissions in general. The Department of Justice is committed to protecting all Americans from all forms of illegal race-based discrimination,” she had said.

Affirmative action is the widely known policy of favoring members of a disadvantaged group of people who have suffered from past or current discrimination. Affirmative action is meant to bridge inequalities in employment and pay, increase access to education, promote diversity, and redress apparent past wrongs, harms, or hindrances.

Devin O’Malley, a spokesman for the DOJ, said that “the Department of Justice takes seriously any potential violation of an individual’s civil and constitutional rights, but we will not comment at this time.”

Harvard University has yet to comment on the investigation.

At the conclusion of college football’s regular season in early December, the annual coaching carousel initiates. A time of great stress and pressure tests each schools’ ability to interview and hire candidates as quickly and as effectively as possible, while also maintaining their fan bases’ sanity level as well as their incoming recruiting class. The worst part is that there are no guarantees in this process and a school likely won’t know if they made the best possible hire until at least next season. Let’s give credit where credit is due in the top five college football hires so far.

Note: Ranking is based on the hiring potential of the school in addition to the quality of coach.

1. The Home Run Hire: Scott Frost, Nebraska

You gotta love a guy who can turn around a less fortunate program. Just two seasons ago, University of Central Florida didn’t win a single game in their 2015 campaign. After Frost took over the helm, he led the Knights to an undefeated regular season in 2017, making for the greatest two-year turnaround in NCAA history. A native of Lincoln, Nebraska and former two-time national champion quarterback for the Huskers in the 90’s, Scott Frost bleeds Nekraska through and through. Prior to UCF, Frost was also the offensive coordinator for Oregon during the school’s best recent years with Marcus Mariota at quarterback. Nebraska made the absolute best possible hire here.

2. Willie Taggart, Florida State

Jimbo Fisher’s abrupt exit from Florida State opened up the Seminoles’ head-coaching job for the first time since before Bobby Bowden in 1975. While Taggart leaving Oregon after one season can come off as suspect, there’s a reason the coach took this job. A Bradenton, Florida native and FSU fan growing up, to pass on this job being open for the first time in his life would be a huge missed opportunity. Taggart has a very impressive resume of turning around lackluster programs:

• Western Kentucky: 2-22 in two seasons prior to his arrival. 14-10 in the two seasons after.
• South Florida: 3-9 before Taggart in 2012. 10-2 in Taggart’s last season in 2016.

Also at USF, Taggart proved his ability to recruit the state of Florida and develop players as the Bulls averaged 43.8 points per game in his last season with them. On short notice, FSU handled adversity with prowess. They will be just fine.

3. Chip Kelly, UCLA

Combine Chip Kelly’s offensive mind that led Oregon to national title contention with the premier recruiting talent of Southern California and you likely get a handful of PAC-12 championships in the coming years with shots at going all the way. UCLA hasn’t been in a serious national title contending position in a long time, but the hire of Kelly immediately puts them back in the mix. The Bruins should have an exciting offense to watch in the coming seasons.

4. Jimbo Fisher, Texas A&M

Active head college coaches with a national title under their belt: Fisher, Urban Meyer, Nick Saban and Dabo Swinney. Fisher’s departure from Tallahassee certainly comes at a surprise, but the Aggies were willing to offer the most lucrative contract in college football history at $75 million guaranteed. While the team’s facilities and level of booster money are on the higher end of things, Fisher will now have to deal with the likes of Auburn, Alabama and LSU on an annual basis in the SEC West.

5. Dan Mullen, Florida

Mullen is one of the college game’s best quarterback coaches, as he’s maximized the potential from a number of players in his career. Beginning at Utah with Alex Smith, who became the no. 1 NFL draft pick in 2005, to Tebow winning the Heisman to vastly improving the games of Dak Prescott and Nick Fitzgerald at Mississippi State. Mullen, unlike Will Muschamp and Jim McElwain, seems to have what it takes to fix the woes that have ailed Florida recently. The Gators finally make the right hire by giving the nod to a coach who was vital to their most recent national titles.

Look, Christopher Plummer is no slouch, but this is quite impressive: not only is he receiving widespread critical acclaim, but he was also nominated for Best Supporting Actor at this year’s Golden Globes for his portrayal of J. Paul Getty.

As you might remember, following multiple allegations of rampant sexual harassment and assault, Kevin Spacey was not only fired from House Of Cards but was also recast and replaced in All The Money In The World by Plummer. And because of that role, Plummer has maybe given the performance of his life.

Plummer, who spent 10 days in November reshooting Spacey’s scenes, is being called a “godsend” by USA Today for his portrayal of J. Paul Getty, while the New York Post says he’s “superb” and Rolling Stone says he “aces” the role.

All the Money in the World is an upcoming American biographical crime drama film directed by Ridley Scott, based on John Pearson’s book Painfully Rich: The Outrageous Fortunes and Misfortunes of the Heirs of J. Paul Getty. Starring Michelle Williams, Christopher Plummer and Mark Wahlberg, the film tells the story of J. Paul Getty’s refusal to cooperate with the extortion demands of a group of kidnappers, from the organized crime group ‘Ndrangheta, who had abducted and mutilated his grandson John Paul Getty III in the 1970s.

Despite the reshoots, the film’s release was only delayed by three days, changing from a December 22 to Christmas Day release.

With his win at age 82 in 2012 for Beginners, Plummer is the oldest person to win an Academy Award for acting.

Yes, you read the headline correctly, Jaguars fans have taken the “trash” talk into their own hands. You know how the saying goes,”Actions speak louder than words”, and that’s exactly what the Jags fans are doing.

After the Jaguars defeated the Texans 45-7 two weeks ago, Houston Texans Star DE Jadaveon Clowney had some things to say about Jags post game. When asked about Jaguars QB Blake Bortles, Clowney didn’t hold back saying that Bortles was “trash”. Bold statement after losing by 35, to say the least.

In a media world driven by drama, of course, a reporter asked Blake on his feelings towards Clowney’s comments. All the credit to Bortles here he took the high road and gave an absolute killer answer.

When asked Bortles replied, “If how we’re playing and how I’m playing is trash, then I’m fine being trash.” This answer was perfect because he took the insult in stride and turned it around to put the attention back on the Jags being 10-4!

This smooth response is usually enough for fan bases to turn the other cheek and wait until they play again to rub it in the players face. But not Jacksonville and I really can’t blame them. Imagine being the butt of jokes for years and never really being given a chance (Sorry browns fans).

Jacksonville’s fans who usually are the ones saying how crappy Bortles is coming to his defense when clowned said the same thing. I figure its kind of like the whole “He’s my brother so I can pick on him but don’t you dare pick on him” kinda thing.

Regardless of why they’re doing this, I am soooo IN. This is still the best thing I’ve seen in a while and I cannot wait to see what Clowney says back.

In the third weekday bowl game of the season, there is a contest between two average teams. These teams are the Florida International Golden Panthers and the Temple Owls. Both teams started the season with average expectations and both teams have reached those expectations by qualifying for a bowl game. Both teams managed to win at least six games and will look to add a bowl game victory to successfully culminate their seasons.

Florida International’s success is due to senior quarterback Alex McGough. This season, McGough threw for 17 touchdowns along with over 2,700 yards and eight interceptions. However, McGough’s job has been made easier by the Golden Panthers’ three-headed rushing attack. Running backs Alex Gardner, Shawndarrius Phillips and Napoleon Maxwell each have over 400 yards rushing this season along with at least four rushing touchdowns. Florida International’s offense is only successful when its running game is effective. Expect the Golden Panthers to rely heavily on its rushing attack against the Owls if they plan on winning this bowl game.

Temple’s success is primarily due to quarterback Frank Nutile. Nutile became the team’s starting quarterback for the last five games of the season. In those five games, Nutile threw for 11 touchdowns and over 1,300 passing yards as the Owls went 3-2. Although the team’s record with Nutile as the starting quarterback was relatively average, the Owls did improve dramatically on offense with Nutile at the helm and he will need to have another solid game if the Owls plan on winning this bowl game.

As for my prediction, I have to side with Temple. Although Florida International has an extremely balanced offense, I personally think that Temple has the more talented roster. Although Florida International won eight games this season, their schedule was extremely easy and I think that their record does not truly reflect the skill of the team. Temple played in a harder conference and I think that its strength of schedule prepared the team adequately for this bowl game. I will take Temple by a touchdown or so.

A couple of weeks ago, we brought you the story of the hazing charges filed against a fraternity at the tiny College of Brockport. Now, details of the case have been released and they are shocking.

Nine people, six of which are students, were arrested by the Brockport Police Department following a hazing investigation. The investigation revealed instances of hazing and animal torture. The organization operated as a fraternity, however, its charter was revoked by the Delta Sigma Phi national fraternity in 2001.

While “The Delts” had been on Brockport police’s radar for years due to complaints from students and community members, University Police Chief Dan Vasile said that it wasn’t until two pledges came forward that charges could be filed. Investigators believe that other members were “too intimidated” to speak up.

The nine men face various charges, such as misdemeanor counts of hazing, criminal nuisance, assault and alcohol-related unlawfully dealing with a child. Furthermore, one individual was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and two others were charged with animal cruelty

The animal cruelty charges were filed due to the fraternities “the use of a rat” during hazing.

According to the Democrat & Chronicle, of the nine persons charged, Peterson, Tella and Ryan are not current students. Eight of them are scheduled to be arraigned in Brockport Village court on Friday, December 8.

Stephen Siciliano, the owner of the house that “The Delts” lived in, emailed a statement to the Democrat & Chronicle, saying “I fully support the efforts of the Brockport Village Police, SUNY Brockport Police and SUNY Brockport officials. I called a meeting with the appropriate parties in October to get a handle of the situation. I complied and helped with the requests of the investigation. Since the beginning, I have been proactive about the situation and will continue to support the Brockport Police, The College of Brockport and the community.”

Nothing short of disgusting. Hopefully, all nine are punished to the full extent of the law.

Bowling Green Suspends Fraternity Following Hazing Investigation

Heather Butts, a former middle school teacher from California, has been sentenced to four months county jail after she was charged for having a sexual relationship with her 15-year-old student.

According to reports, Butts, a 42-year-old from Millbrae, California who was teaching drama at Taylor Middle School, pleaded no contest to a felony count of lewd acts with a minor. Butts pleaded in October, more than a year after she was spotted kissing the 15-year-old female student inside a white van parked near an elementary school.

The plea deal states that prosecutors agreed to dismiss a second felony charger and a misdemeanor charge of violating a no-contact order. In addition to the jail time, Butts also will be required to register as a sex offender and is prohibited from being in the presence of minors.

San Bruno police opened an investigation in August 2016 after receiving an anonymous tip that a woman and a girl were kissing inside a van near Lomita Park Elementary School in San Bruno. Officers found Butts alone in the van and the girl nearby. The girl was identified as a 15-year-old Mills High School student and a former pupil of Butts’ at Taylor Middle School in Millbrae.

Prosecutors said the girl initially denied anything inappropriate had occurred, but later admitted that she and Butts were in love and had been kissing. Explicit text messages on the girl’s phone also revealed an ongoing relationship, prosecutors said.

The investigation also reportedly revealed earlier sexual conduct between Butts and the victim in October 2015.

In addition to the jail time and registering as a sex offender, Buuts will serve three years of supervised probation.

This is the latest in a string of teacher/student sex scandals this year. In November, Tennessee teacher Janet Smothers was arrested. Former nutrition teacher LaToya Parker was also arrested for a relationship with a student. Florida teacher Caroline Lawson was charged with sexual assault. 26-year-old Allyson Moran was also arrested for similar crimes. The 23-year-old high school teacher Katherine Ross Ridenhour was also arrested for an inappropriate relationship.

Furthermore, Hunter Day, 22, was also arrested after a sting operation. Megan Kotarski was also arrested on similar charges. Michelle Schiffer, a 23-year-old history teacher in Texas, was also charged and arrested for allegedly having sex with a teenage student. 29-year-old Alyssia Marie Reddy was arrested in Maryland for her crimes in New Jersey. Samantha Fitzgerland, a 28-year-old, was most recently arrested and charged. Jordan Ondish was arrested for her inappropriate relationship with a 19-year-old, while 28-year-old Samantha Fitzpatrick was arrested on similar charges.

Nicole Marie Andrews was arrested as well. 32-year-old Jessica Langford was arrested and charged with sexual assault-related crimes as well. A teacher from Oregon, Andrea Baber, was accused of having a sexual relationship with a student.  Robin Dunlap, a teacher in Florida, was arrested for sending illicit photos to a 15-year-old boy in Texas. Teacher and tennis coach Jennifer Olajire-Aro was also charged.

In October of 2017, Schnatter publicly criticized the NFL over the national anthem protests being carried out by players.

In the fourth weekday bowl game of the season, there is a contest between two above average teams. These teams are the UAB Blazers and the Ohio Bobcats. Both teams started the season with average expectations and both teams have reached exceed those expectations by qualifying for a bowl game. Both teams managed to win at eight games and will look to add a bowl game victory to their list of accomplishments.

UAB’s success is due to senior quarterback A.J. Erdely. This season, Erdely threw for 16 touchdowns along with over 2,000 yards and only four interceptions. However, Erdely has also run for 13 touchdowns this season and 289 yards. Erdely’s dual threat ability was a huge reason why the Blazers won eight games and he will need to use those skills if UAB plans on upsetting Ohio. Expect Erdely to be heavily involved in the team’s offense on Friday as UAB will need him to carry the team offensively.

Ohio’s success is primarily due to quarterback Nathan Rourke. This season, Rourke threw for over 2,000 yards and had 15 passing touchdowns along with seven interceptions. Rourke also lead a phenomenal rushing attack by running for 882 yards including 21 rushing touchdowns. Ohio’s rushing attack also involved running backs A.J. Ouellette and Dorian Brown. Both running backs averaged over 5.2 yards per carry along with over 600 rushing yards this season. If Ohio plans on defeating UAB, expect the Bobcats to rely heavily on its elite running game.

As for my prediction, I have to side with Ohio. Although UAB has had a phenomenal season, I personally think that Ohio’s offense is just too physical for the Blazers to handle. I expect Rourke and the running backs to overpower UAB’s defense and lead the Bobcats to a double digit victory.

Gucci Mane, born as Radric Delantic Davis, is a very well-known American rapper. In 2007, Mane founded 1017 Records, an American record label that’s been home to many hip hop artists such as Waka Flocka Flame, Chief Keef and Young Thug.

Gucci Mane announced his newest project, El Gato the Human Glacier, towards the end of October. This album is believed to be short on collaborations, seeing as the only one Mane mentiond was 21 Savage. The new album will drop on Dec. 22, and will have 13 songs on it.

Darryl Strawberry’s lifelong struggle with addiction has been well documented at this point. So well documented, in fact, that there is a documentary about it:  the excellent “30 For 30”, Doc & Darryl.

According to Darryl himself, the former eight-time all-star and four-time World Series champion would dabble in whatever he could get his hands on, saying he “could shoot dope, shoot heroin, smoke crack, drink alcohol, it didn’t matter.” So it should come as no surprise that sex was a part of that long list of addictions.

In an interview with Dr. Oz, Strawberry dove into the gritty details of his Major League career, confessing that he was so addicted to sex that he used to have sex during games — between innings — in the team clubhouse.

And not only was Strawberry laying pipe (shout out J.R. Smith) during games, but his teammates would even cover for him,

This isn’t the first time Strawberry has discussed his sex addiction crossing into baseball. In the past, Strawberry has said that he would find women he liked in the stands and send clubhouse attendants to go talk to them for him, and that he’d have sex with them during games.

Strawberry, who is now an ordained minister, has made a full recovery and operates Strawberry Ministries, which lists its mission as “restoring lives and relationships.”

This NHL season was supposed to be one of a weak rookie class, but boy those predictions could not have been more wrong. The NHL is full of rookies that are looking like they will be starts of the NHL’s future. This year’s Rookie class currently has over 10 players that are poised to hit the 20 goal mark, and also 10 rookies that have a real legitimate chance at getting to 50 points for the season, both feats are pretty nice accomplishments for young men in the world’s best hockey league.

Lets narrow down this years rookies class and see who is the best of the best, the top 5 rookies.

5. Will Butcher, New Jersey Devils

The 22 year old Rookie Defensemen from Wisconsin has been on of the integral parts to the hockey Renaissance in New Jersey right now. After five years or so at the bottom of the Eastern Confrence, Will and co. has helped lead the Devils to one of the best records in the NHL so far this season. Will this season so far as 2 goals and 19 assists for a grand total of 21 points through 33 games from the blue line, along with a plus 5 plus minus rating. Will currently sits in second place among NHL rookie denfensemen in points, and is the first player in Devils history to score three points in his NHL debut. Will will and the rest of the Devils young core, they looked poised to bring back quality hockey to Downtown Newark, and rekindle some of the glory of the great Devils teams from the 1990’s.

4. Mikhail Sergachev, Tampa Bay Lightning

It seems like every season the Lightning have a new young stud on their roster, and this year that trend has continued. Mikhail is a 19 year old boy from Russia, and is defiantly doing his part to help Tampa try to capture the Stanley Cup this season. Mikhail currently has 8 goals, 15 assists, with a real strong plus 15 plus minus rating on the season for the Lightning. He is currently tied for forth among rookie points leaders, first in points among rookie defensemen, and second in defenseman goals. There is no question that Mikhail will be a stud in the NHL for years to come, and he is a big part in helping lead Tampa to currently owning the best record in the NHL.

3. Clayton Keller, Arizona Coyotes

Barely anything has gone right for Arizona this season, but the one bright sport for the 2017-2018 Coyotes is the outstanding performance so far this season of rookie Clayton Keller. The 19 year old from Missouri currently has 12 goals and 14 assists so far this NHL campaign, giving him a total of 26 points so far this year through 36 career games. Although Clayton does have an abysmal -20 plus minus rating, that is large part to the fact that he is currently playing on the NHL’s worst team, so don’t let his poor plus minus rating fool you, this kid is gonna be good. Clayton also currently holds sole possession for 3rd place for rookie points. Although not much looks good in the desert right now, the Coyotes defiantly have a real good young player to continue their roster rebuild around.

2. Matt Barzal, New York Islanders

I am a huge Islanders fan, so I will try not to be to biased here, but Barzal is AN OUTSTANDING HOCKEY PLAYER. If you have watched him at all this season, you can see that his skating and passing ability is as good as some of the NHL’s elite players currently in their primes. Matt is a 20 year old kid from British Colombia, he has 8 goals, 22 assists, and a plus 3 plus minus rating on the season for New York through 33 games. Barzal currently is first in rookie assists, as well as second in rookie points. With a blossoming star on their roster, the highest scoring offense in the NHL this season, and the recent report that the Isles will officially be moving back to Long Island from Brooklyn in a few years, Islanders fans currently have a lot to happy and excited about.

1. Brock Boeser, Vancouver Canucks

If you are looking for the definition of what a future hockey stud is, look no further then Vancouver’s Brock Boeser. Brock is a 20 year old from the “State of Hockey”, A.K.A. the state of Minnesota. This season Brock currently has 18 goals, 14 assists, which is good for 32 points through 32 games played. Despite his minus 1 plus minus rating, just like Clayton Keller, it is in large part to the fact that Boeser plays for one of the NHL’s worst teams. His 18 goals for the year along with his 32 points have him sitting in first place in both categories among NHL rookies. Boeser at this point in time is probably the favorite to win the NHL’s rookie of the year for 2018, and has answered the question as to who will be the first big piece of the Cancuks rebuild to help bring Vancouver’s hockey team back to NHL relevance.

Police are investigating a rape that was reported on Monday, December 18, at the Alpha Kappa Lambda fraternity house on the Missouri State University campus.

According to Lisa Cox, a spokeswoman Springfield Police, the alleged assault occurred between 7:30 p.m. and 10:35 p.m. on Monday, December 18. Cox said that the incident was under investigation and that was all the information she could provide at that time

“It is currently under investigation, and that is all I can provide at this time,” she said.

Suzanne Shaw, the vice president for marketing and communications at the university, said the two people involved in the alleged incident were students and that a Title IX investigation has begun.

The victim is a female, while it was not immediately known if the male was a member of the fraternity.

Shaw said MSU officials connected the female student to the Title IX investigator and offered other services, including counseling.

As of Wednesday, it was not clear if the university would conduct is own investigation. If that happens and there is a preponderance of evidence the assault occurred, the male student could face a range of discipline including expulsion.

“Someone has to report a situation to Title IX to trigger an investigation, and that can be a complainant,” she said.

The university’s Alpha Kappa Lambda chapter was in the in June, when a judge sentenced a former fraternity member to a 75-day sentence for assaulting an ex-girlfriend inside the fraternity house.

If the claim is found to be accurate, it would be the second violent crime at that fraternity house since 2016.
