Kudos to this guy, for he is a much braver man than I. A lot of people drunk drive, get away with it and then do it again the next weekend. It’s an epidemic and not something to joke about. But this guy. No, Sean McCullough is a drunken man of honor. Similar to NCAA schools who break the rules, McCullough opted to go with the self-inflicted punishment route instead and drove himself directly to the police station.

And it’s not like our boy McCullough here was just tipsy after having a few — he was HAMMERED, telling police he consumed “12 to 14 beers.”

“The officer says, ‘Do you understand you’re in the parking lot of a police station?’ and McCullough says, ‘Yeah, I wanted to be in a safe place,’” Chitwood recalled.

Why McCullough thought driving to the police station instead of just staying where he was is beyond me, but I’ve never been as honest a man as McCullough was in this moment, so who am I to judge.

Shortly before 4 a.m. on Wednesday, McCullough, 44, of Havertown, was driving through Upper Darby when he approached the township police station on West Chester Pike and decided to pull into the parking lot designated for police officers, Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood said.

An Upper Darby officer watched on surveillance cameras as McCullough drove around the entrance gates to the lot, into the exit lane, onto the grass, and then over a sidewalk before he parked his 2008 Ford station wagon “right there with the police cars,” Chitwood said.

McCullough, predictably, has two prior DUI arrests from the 90’s – one in 1994 and one in 1996. McCullough is free on $10,000 bail. His first court date is scheduled for August 28.

College Bowl Games On Today

1. Cheribundi Tart Cherry Boca Raton Bowl: Akron Zips vs. FAU Owls

If the Zips hope to have any chance of pulling off the massive upset over the Owls in enemy territory, they will need to find some type of continuity at the quarterback position. Although Thomas Woodson has taken the majority of the snaps, his less than impressive passing statistics have prevented him from being the Zips starter consistently (57.2 CMP%). More than likely, Kato Nelson will get the start due to his decent scrambling capabilities and his discipline when it comes to not turning over the football. While Owls quarterback Jason Driskel may not be a gifted passer either, he at least has the accuracy (65.6 CMP%) and underrated rushing capabilities (six rushing touchdowns) to extend plays. However, the Owls truly shine when running back Devin Singletary has the ball in his hands (30 total touchdowns, 6.5 yards per rush attempt). Averaging less than five yards per rush attempt only twice this season, Singletary has the girth and escapability to frustrate opposing defenses who attempt to shoulder tackle him rather than using their arms to effectively wrap him up. Although the Zips have a respectable defense (26.3 PAPG), the Owls have way too much firepower in both their passing and rushing games to be stopped in what is effectively a home game.

Final Score: Zips 20 Owls 40 Spread: FAU -22.5

Joshua Zale, an Illinois student at Moraine Valley Community College, is suing the university after he was barred from the college for allegedly using what Moraine Valley deemed an ‘an unacceptable word’ while acting out an improv skit.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Zale filed a suit against Moraine Valley Community College, accusing them violating his freedom of speech rights.

The suit claims that back in April, Zale was instructed to act as a pimp trying to collect money during an improv exercise in his theatre class. Zale claims he confronted by his professor Craig Rosen after the class ended. Zale then claims Rosen told him the word he used during his improvisational performance was “unacceptable.”

Following subsequent meetings with Rosen, Zale was unable to register for classes. Zale, who is representing himself, is now asking a Cook County Circuit Court judge to allow him to register for classes and award him monetary damages.

The lawsuit states that Zale “is being penalized by defendants for the statements he made during an acting exercise in a course … and for his conduct in questioning the reasons for which he was being told his actions were inappropriate.”

Court records don’t mention the word Zale used during his class performance, but afterward his professor allegedly told him it was unacceptable. On April 20, Zale met with the instructor to find out why he had been chastised for using “a word which was precisely within the assignment he had been given,” according to the lawsuit.

Zale alleges that during the discussion, an assistant dean also accused him of “mistreating her as a woman” under Title IX, according to the lawsuit, which was filed Monday. Title IX is part of a 1972 law prohibiting discrimination on the basis of sex in education programs or activities receiving federal financial assistance.

Six days later, he received an email from the dean of students alleging he had violated the student code of conduct during the April 20 meeting by causing a disruption and for “physical/verbal abuse or harassment,” according to a copy of the email included in the lawsuit.

The lawsuit also states that Zale is “being penalized by defendants for the statements he made during an acting exercise in a course and for his conduct in questioning the reasons for which he was being told his actions were inappropriate.”

Zale is seeking an unspecified sum in damages from the school, as well as a reinstate of his eligibility for classes.

Andrea Baber, a 29-year-old Oregon teacher, has been accused of having a sexual relationship with a student. Baber was arrested on Friday, December 15, at her home in Cottage Grove, Oregon. Baber was apprehended mere days after she and the teenager were alledgely caught in bed by Baber’s husband on December 5.

According to law enforcement officials, police first learned of Baber’s relationship with the boy after his father received an anonymous email asking whether he knew his teenage son was in a sexual relationship with Baber. Attached to the email were several photos of Baber and the boy in bed together, according to court documents.

“It was learned Baber began the relationship with the then 15-year-old student in 2016 and had engaged in a sexual relationship on a regular basis with the minor and provided him with marijuana,” a Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said.

Baber was arrested and charged with suspicion of third-degree rape, third-degree sodomy, contributing to the sexual delinquency of a minor, first-degree online sexual corruption of a minor and unlawful delivery of marijuana to a person under 18 years of age.

Lt. Chris Merrifield of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said Monday that 29-year-old Andrea Baber was arrested after investigators obtained a warrant to search her Cottage Grove home. Baber taught at Logos Christian Academy in Springfield.

Merrifield says the relationship began in 2016, when the male student was 15 years old. Merrifield says the relationship continued on a regular basis, with Baber also providing the boy with marijuana.

Baber is charged with third-degree rape, third-degree sodomy, unlawful delivery of marijuana to a minor, online sexual corruption of a child and contributing to the sexual delinquency of a minor.
CBS affiliate KPIC reports that on December 15, detectives obtained a search warrant for Baber’s residence where detectives say they located additional evidence.

The sheriff’s office identified Baber as a former teacher, but she remains on the school’s online staff directory. The website says Baber teaches writing and literature, and is married.

Baber was taken into custody and placed in the Douglas County Jail.

Furthermore, Hunter Day, 22, was also arrested after a sting operation. Megan Kotarski was also arrested on similar charges. Michelle Schiffer, a 23-year-old history teacher in Texas, was also charged and arrested for allegedly having sex with a teenage student. 29-year-old Alyssia Marie Reddy was arrested in Maryland for her crimes in New Jersey. Samantha Fitzgerland, a 28-year-old, was most recently arrested and charged. Jordan Ondish was arrested for her inappropriate relationship with a 19-year-old, while 28-year-old Samantha Fitzpatrick was arrested on similar charges. Nicole Marie Andrews was arrested as well. 32-year-old Jessica Langford was arrested and charged with sexual assault-related crimes as well.

Winter Haven Police Department

Robin Dunlap, a 27-year-old Haines City High School teacher in Polk County, Florida, was arrested after deputies said she sent nude photos and had explicit conversations with a 15-year-old boy in Texas.

Dunlap turned herself into the Winter Haven Police Department back in November for sending the illicit photos to the unidentified teen. On November 18, 2017, when turning herself in, Dunlap stated that she sent the nude photos to the teen before she knew his real age, claiming the boy had told her that he was 19-year-old throughout the conversations the two had over Xbox One. The conversations moved to communicating through Kik via text and video chat on their cell phones.

When the mother of the victim found the messages on her son’s cellphone, she contacted Dunlap and informed her that the boy was 15-years-old.

Dunlap told detectives the teenager was the only person who understood her, according to a press release. The 27-year-old gave investigators consent to look at her phones, where they found conversations from Nov. 26 to Dec. 11 that “slowly progressed to extremely vulgar and sexually explicit language,” the release read.

“There is absolutely no excuse for an adult – especially a high school teacher – to continue sexually explicit conversations with a 15-year-old long after his real age is revealed,” Winter Haven Police Chief Charlie Bird said in a statement. “The vulnerable age of this victim and the fact that this woman took advantage of him for her own personal needs is inexcusable.”

Dunlap, who is listed as a science teacher on the Haines City High School’s website, was charged with transmitting material harmful to a minor and using a communication device to commit a felony. According to Polk County jail records, she was still being held at Polk County jail on Tuesday, December 19.

For that fact alone it would unthinkable that a (7-6) Akron team can go in and defeat Lane and the Boys who have won their last 9 games. Akron will have their hands full with RB Devin Singletary who is an absolute monster accounting for 1,981 total yards and 30 TDs. FAU wins by running a high tempo offense that puts defenses on their heels from the opening jump. QB Jason Driskell is one of the most accurate gun slingers in the country and does a great job taking care of the football. Florida Atlantic is full of athletes on the offensive side of the football, I don’t think Akron will be able to run with them for 60 minutes.

Akron comes in after losing in the MAC Championship to Toledo 45-28. Akron is lead by QB Thomas Woodson who has thrown for almost 1,800 yards this season. Akron wins games by playing good defense and scoring on big plays from WR Kwadarrius Smith who besides having one of the top names in college football has 34 catches while averaging 21.4 yards per catch with 7 TDs. Akron is going have to run the ball effectively and keep FAU’s offense off the field if they want to have any chance of winning this one.

Its hard to ignore how many advantages FAU has over Akron, FAU should 100000% win this game but you know what they say, Good teams win Great teams cover. That being said I think FAU will cover the 22.5 points they’re laying. and the game will go over.

Ocean’s 8 is one of those movies that sounds good in theory but will likely lack execution.

On paper, a movie based on a popular, already established franchise, starring a litany of award winners such as Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett Anne Hathaway and Sarah Paulson, and a bunch of other lovable actresses such as Mindy Kaling, Helena Bonham Carter, and Rihanna (?), should crush.

But the trailer, and the plot, just seem … underwhelming.

Danny Ocean’s estranged sister Debbie attempts to pull off the heist of the century at New York City’s star-studded annual Met Gala. Her first stop is to assemble the perfect crew: Lou, Rose, Daphne Kluger, Nine Ball, Tammy, Amita, and Constance.

The actresses alone have me interested enough to check out the movie when it hits theatres, the movie itself seems like it will suffer from the same problems that most reboots and ripoffs suffer from. That said, put Sarah Paulson and Rihanna in the same movie and I’m giving you $11.

Ocean’s 8, directed by Gary Ross and written by Ross and Olivia Milch, is both a sequel and spin-off of the Ocean’s Trilogy, and will be released in theaters on June 8, 2018.

Jennifer Olajire-Aro, a 27-year-old Burke High School teacher in Charleston, South Carolina has been arrested for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student. Olajire-Aro also coaches tennis at the school.

According to reports, the alleged relationship lasted several months before the student notified Burke High School officials.

Olajire-Aro faces a count of sexual battery with a student, a felony charge which carries up to five years in prison.

The 17-year-old student told Burke High officials about the months-long relationship, the police said.

“The incidents occurred off campus,” spokesman Charles Francis said. No details were immediately available.

A Charleston County School District spokesman declined to comment on the case or on Olajire-Aro’s employment status with the district.

A directory on the school’s website lists Jennifer Aro but contains no further information.

Olajire-Aro was charged with sexual battery of a student and was being held in the Al Cannon Detention Center. She was scheduled to have a bond hearing on at 2 PM on Tuesday, December 19.

This is what makes Florida such a treat: on any given day a man can bust out a centuries-old weapon in a fit of road rage. If this were, let’s say, New Jersey, this story is about a generic weapon like a baseball bat or a crowbar. But because its Florida, we’re talking about a katana.

Daniel Franklin Seymour, a Brooksville, Florida man is facing multiple criminal charges after he threatened to murder a couple with a samurai sword during a road rage incident on the afternoon of Tuesday, July 25.

According to the Brooksville Police Department, Adrian Rivera, 20, and Julian Rivera, 21, told police they were driving on North Broad Street when Seymour began “brake checking without provocation.” He then began using obscene hand gestures out of his window ‘while slowing down and speeding up.’

As the Riveras attempted to pass Seymour, they say he sped up and deliberately struck the right rear fender of their vehicle. When both vehicles pulled over and the Riveras exited, police said Seymour jumped out of his vehicle and approached them in “an aggressive manner.”

Police say that after both vehicles pulled over, Seymour pulled out a 25-inch samurai sword from the back seat and declared he was going to “kill them both.”

Seymour, 43, was arrested and booked in Hernando County Jail around 2 PM. According to Hernando County Jail records, Seymour faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and reckless driving.

He is currently being held on $24,500 bail.

Okay, we’ll admit, this one has us a little excited.

Yes, reboots are a symptom of an overall lack of creativity in Hollywood, but The Office is one of the funniest and most quotable shows of the past decade, so we’d be lying if we told you we weren’t at least curious about what NBC is planning.

According to Variety, NBC is in early talks to revive The Office, the hit comedy that ran from 2005-2013.  At this time, the only details known about the project are that the series’ original star Steve Carell would not be returning as Michael Scott, however, the show would “continue the misadventures of the officemates at the Dunder-Mifflin paper company in Scranton, Pennsylvania.”

Executive produced by Greg Daniels, the original NBC series “The Office,” based on the British show of the same name, ran from 2005 to 2013. In the first weekday bowl game of the season, there is a contest between two explosive teams. These teams are the Akron Zips and the Florida Atlantic Owls. Both teams started the season with very minimal expectations and both teams have exceeded those expectations in order to qualify for a bowl game. Both teams managed to win at least seven games and will look to add a bowl game victory to their successful seasons.

Akron’s success is due to its impressive quarterback play. This season, Thomas Woodson was the original starter and threw for 14 touchdowns along with over 1,700 yards, However, Woodson missed three games towards the end of the year before returning against Toledo in the conference title game. Replacing Woodson was Kato Nelson who threw for eight touchdowns and only one interceptions in the four games that he started. Due to Woodson’s abysmal performance against Toledo, I have to assume that Nelson will be named the starter for the bowl game. If Akron plans on winning this bowl game, Nelson will need to use his mobility to elongate plays and to generate a lot of scoring drives

Florida Atlantic’s success is primarily due star running back Devin Singletary. Singletary might arguably be the most underrated player in all of college football. In 13 games, Singletary ran for 1,796 yards and had an absurd 30 total touchdowns. Singletary enters this bowl game with at least 100 rushing yards in 11 straight games. Singletary’s gaudy statistics are due to the playcalling of coach Lane Kiffin. After departing from Alabama last season, Kiffin decided to go to Florida Atlantic and to potentially rebuild its program. After starting 0-2, Kiffin made Singletary the focal point of the offense and the team has gone 10-1 since. Expect Singletary to put up another monster statline against this below average Akron defense.

As for my prediction, I have to side with Florida Atlantic. I personally believe that Singletary is just too much for Akron to handle. Akron got annihilated by a fast-paced Toledo offense in the conference championship game and now has to face an even faster offense in Florida Atlantic. I expect Florida Atlantic to score at least 40 points as the Owls coast to a double digit victory.

An R-rated superhero film unlike anything that had come before it, Deadpool breathed a much-needed new life into the comic book film industry with self-awareness, swearing, and R rating. In fact, the original Deadpool was so hilarious, that some people, myself included, consider it more of a comedy than an action film.

Following the release of Deadpool, the sequel was quickly put into production for a Summer 2018 release date. While fans have been treated to a mini-teaser, the name and plot of the film have yet to be released. However, Wade Wilson himself, Ryan Reynold, may have changed that over the weekend.

Reynolds posted a new Deadpool poster to Twitter over the weekend with what fans are speculating the be the title of the upcoming sequel, “The Second Coming”.

The phrase in the bottom right-hand corner of the banner serves a few purposes. One is to reference the religious parody at play, while another is a boiler-plate sexual innuendo. The whole thing also effectively serves as a tagline for the film, likely one of many given the first Deadpool. But there’s also a strong chance ‘The Second Coming’ will be the subtitle of the Deadpool sequel. Unlike other taglines, it’s short and sweet enough that it could function as part of the film’s title—thus prolonging the joke. It also ties nicely into some comic book lore that increasingly seems like it will be a part of the movie.

As Nerdist points out, there’s a Marvel comic called X-Men: Second Coming. While Deadpool only had a minor role in the story, it does center heavily around Cable. Even more intriguing, but it’s the mini-series that brings Hope Summers into the present day. Hope was born following House of M and Scarlet Witch’s proclamation that wiped out most mutants. As the first new mutant to emerge in some time, she was treated as a sort of messiah and had to be whisked off by Cable to protect her from anti-mutant zealots. They spent years hoping through time and growing close, with Hope eventually adopting Cable’s last name.

While “The Second Coming” works just fine for us, we would have liked to see something like “Deadpooler”, “Deadpool: The Sequel” or “Deadpool Number Two”.

A 32-year-old Florida man claiming to be named Alice Wonderland has been arrested after he cost $100,000 in damage to an under construction liquor store.

Florida police have arrested 32-year-old Mathew Horace Jones after he claimed an Alice in Wonderland character forced him to commit a crime at a Florida construction site.

According to Crestview police, Jones broke into a construction site and allegedly used a forklift to damage the building under construction. Horace’s little joyride (or should we call it an acid ride?) cost more than $100,000 in damage to the liquor store under construction at the Crestview Walmart and to construction equipment.

According to police, Jones allegedly broke into the fenced-in construction site on the north side of the Ferdon Boulevard South using a JCB extendable forklift parked at the job site.

The building under construction was destroyed. Additionally, the suspect damaged a city fire hydrant and a 2-inch water meter worth about $3,200.Crestview Police received calls that the suspect was “throwing cinder blocks off the scaffolding in the construction zone.”

According to a building contractor the damage included: $40,000 in scaffolding and materials, $15,000 in block and mortar, a $15,000 forklift, $7,500 mixer, $1,500 mud pans, and $4,000 in damaged fencing.

The suspect, Jones, also caused about $60,000 in labor to clean and rebuild the site. When Crestview Police Officers arrived on scene, Jones aimed the forklift toward officers. The officers stopped Jones at gunpoint and were able to detain him.

While being detained, Jones said that his name was “Alice Wonderland” and that he was told to commit the offenses by a “hookah-smoking caterpillar.”

Jones, who was already on probation, was charged with felony grand theft, use of a motor vehicle to damage property of another in excess of $1,000, criminal mischief with damage greater than $1,000, and violation of felony probation.

Of all the fast foods to go “all-in” for, Chick-Fil-A is definitely the one. While getting arrested over some fast food is ultimately ridiculous, if you’re going to do it, it may as well be for Chick-Fil-A, otherwise known as the greatest fast food joint in America.

Tara Marie Solem, a Georgia woman, has been charged with impersonating a federal agent in order to get a discount, police say.

Solem is accused of telling a drive-thru worker and two managers at a Chick Fil A in Marietta that she was working undercover for the government.

Solem was arrested after the incident on July 5 and charged with impersonating an officer and disorderly conduct, before posting a $7,370 bond to be let out of jail.

Solem first tried to convince the eatery’s drive-through worker that she was a federal agent. When that didn’t work she went inside. At the counter of the Macland Cross Circle chicken joint, she argued with two managers, hurling expletives within earshot of a few children, cops wrote.

Still trying to get some discounted food, she flashed a badge in a black wallet to the managers, police said.

“She stated that she was undercover and that for them asking her to be in uniform would blow her cover and possible [sic] get her killed,” according to the warrant. Solem called the restaurant chain’s corporate office to complain and gave the name, “Agent Solem.”

At one point during the incident, Solem changed her story, saying that she was an agent with the Georgia Bureau of Investigations. The officer writing the warrant said they checked with GBI, and the agency had no record of “Agent Solem.”

According to court records, Solem paid $7,370 to bail out Cobb County jail less than 10 hours after being booked. Her next court date was not listed in the county’s magistrate court system.

Chick-Fil-A says that each individual restaurant is allowed to set its own discount policy.

Back in November, we brought you the tragic story of the death Andrew Coffey, a 20-year-old Florida State University fraternity pledge who was found dead at a party. According to Tallahassee police, Coffey, a Pi Kappa Phi pledge and civil engineering major, who was found unresponsive at an off-campus house party that happened between Thursday, November 2 and Friday, November 3.

Coffey, from Pompano Beach, was found on the morning of Friday, November 3 at 10:23 AM EST after the Tallahassee Police Department received a call about an unresponsive person at a home on Buena Vista Drive. Coffey was pronounced dead at the scene. Now, about six weeks later, WCTV obtained a copy of the presentment that was written following the Grand Jury held in the aftermath of Coffey’s death.

According to WCTV, the presentment was compiled after two days of testimony from close to 50 people, including four brothers and 38 pledges of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity, an organization that Coffey was pledging at the time of his death. The presentment states that the party in which Coffey died at on November 3 was a Big Brother reveal party and that Coffey reportedly drank a bottle of Wild Turkey bourbon.

The presentment says Coffey passed out and was described as being “asleep,” on a futon on the porch of the house where the party was taking place. The presentment also states that nobody called for medical attention after Coffey passed out.

The presentment says there was over an 11-minute delay between a fellow pledge attempting to wake up Coffey the following morning and a call for help. Documents say that in that time, text messages and phone calls were made to five fraternity members before 911 was called.

The document also reveals that the members and pledges of Pi Kappa Phi did not fully cooperate with law enforcement as they investigated Coffey’s death. 22 pledges and 16 brothers of Pi Kappa Phi spoke with law enforcement, but 19 pledges and 22 brothers refused to be interviewed. Only two of the nine members on the executive council spoke to law enforcement.

Coffey’s autopsy revealed tht he had blood alcohol level of .447 , with his peak alcohol level had being at .558. The grand jury said that most of the “pledges and members were more concerned with the fraternity being kicked off campus and/or their own legal liability.”

At the time of Coffey’s death, Florida State University Vice President Amy Hecht released this statement:

“We are overwhelmed with sadness any time we learn of the death of one of our students, and the FSU family provides extensive outreach to their family and friends as they mourn the loss of a young life. We do not yet have details surrounding the passing today of student Andrew Coffey, but we will work closely with the Tallahassee Police Department as it investigates to determine the facts surrounding this case.”

Pi Kappa Phi suspended all chapter operations and the members of the chapter have been directed to cooperate fully with all investigative efforts. Similarly, Florida State suspended all Greek life following his death.
