The University of South Carolina campus had been placed on lockdown Tuesday, with police searching for a gunman. The shooting had been confirmed at the Campus Edge Apartments, with the suspected said to be on foot and heading toward campus.

So far, at least one person has been wounded in the shooting, later clarified to be a wound in the arm. The suspect is a black male, said to be wearing khaki pants and a grey hoodie; he is also believed to be carrying a weapon.

According to Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Lt. Kevin Bobo, the shooting happened at an apartment complex near the school’s campus.

The school issued a Twitter alert warning of the shots, with four buildings being put on lockdown. The lockdown has ended, according to the school’s Twitter feed; it is unknown at this time if this means the suspect is in police custody.

HA! New Study Suggest Binge-Drinkers Are Less Likely To Develop Alzheimer’s!

Ha! I knew it! Take that all you ‘drinking is bad for you’ people! Chalk one up for me and Team Degenerates.

You can chalk one up for the degenerates because a 30-year study conducted by the University of California has concluded that moderate to heavy drinkers are more likely to live to the age of 85 without dementia than non-drinkers. So while the alcohol may make you forget things in the present, in the future you’ll be sharp as a tack.

The study, which ran from 1984 to 2013, tracked more than 1,000 middle-class white men and women in California. The study followed 1,344 adults, including 728 women and 616 men.

via Daily Mail:

Cognitive health was assessed every four years over the course of the 29-year study, using a standard dementia screening test known as the Mini Mental State Examination.

The researchers found that people who drank ‘moderate to heavy’ amounts of alcohol five to seven days a week were doubly likely to be cognitively healthy than non-drinkers. The study defined moderate, heavy and excessive drinking using gender and age-specific guidelines from the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism.

‘This study is unique because we considered men and women’s cognitive health at late age and found that alcohol consumption is not only associated with reduced mortality, but with greater chances of remaining cognitively healthy into older age,’ said lead author Dr Linda McEvoy.

The best line of the study goes to lead author and graduate student Erin Richard, who said that ‘this study shows that moderate drinking may be part of a healthy lifestyle to maintain cognitive fitness in aging.’

Actress Kristina Cohen Accuses ‘Gossip Girl’ Star Ed Westwick Of Rape

Actress Kristina Cohen has come forth with allegations against Gossip Girl actor Ed Westwick, saying that he was raped her three years ago. Westwick has since denied the allegation.

Cohen posted the claims to Facebook, which her manager later confirmed was authentic.

Cohen, who says she remained silent out of fear of reprisal, claims that a producer she was dating took her to Westwick’s home, where he allegedly suggested that they “all have sex together.” Cohen says she wanted to leave, but her boyfriend insisted they stay, not wanting to make their host “feel awkward.” The boyfriend suggested she take a nap in the actor’s guest bedroom. She agreed and fell asleep for a nap, but woke up with Westwick on top of her.

via Facebook:

The last month has been incredibly difficult. Like so many women I too have a story of sexual assault, and the outpouring of stories have been both triggering and emotionally exhausting. I’ve gone back and forth over and over again, unsure if I should speak up. If I could speak. And if so, will I be heard?

I was sexually assaulted three years ago. It was a dark time in my life. My mom was dying of cancer and I didn’t have the support system or time to process and deal with the aftermath of the rape. I buried my pain and guilt to make space for the onslaught that came after my mom’s death, just three months later. Even now, I grapple with feelings of guilt. Unfounded worry that in some way I was to blame. I don’t know where these feelings come from. Social conditioning that everything is always the woman’s fault? That a man’s inability to keep himself off of our bodies is somehow because of us, not him?

I’ve grown considerably in the three years since my assault, so to revisit is painful. To dig in and relive this night in order to accurately share the events, feels like a continued violation. My stomach is in knots, scared as hell to share this publicly, as even fully reconciling with myself has been a tough process.

I was briefly dating a producer who was friends with the actor Ed Westwick. It was this producer who brought me up to Ed’s house where I met Ed for the first time. I wanted to leave when Ed suggested “we should all fuck”. But the producer didn’t want to make Ed feel awkward by leaving. Ed insisted we stay for dinner. I said I was tired and wanted to leave, trying to get out of what was already an uncomfortable situation. Ed suggested I nap in the guest bedroom. The producer said we would stay for just another 20 more minutes to smooth everything over, and then we could leave. So I went and laid down in the guest room where I eventually fell asleep, I was woken up abruptly by Ed on top of me, his fingers entering my body. I told him to stop, but he was strong. I fought him off as hard as I could but he grabbed my face in his hands, shaking me, telling me he wanted to fuck me. I was paralyzed, terrified. I couldn’t speak, I could no longer move. He held me down and raped me.

It was a nightmare, and the days following weren’t any better. The producer put the blame on me, telling me I was an active participant. Telling me that I can’t say anything because Ed will have people come after me, destroy me, and that I could forget about an acting career. Saying there’s no way I can go around saying Ed “raped” me and that I don’t want to be “that girl.”
And for the longest time, I believed him. I didn’t want to be “that girl”.

I now realize the ways in which these men in power prey on women, and how this tactic is used so frequently in our industry, and surely, in many others. I’m sickened to see men like Ed respected in such a public way. Interviewed by prestigious platforms such as the Oxford Union Society at Oxford University, where he was honored as one of their “People who Shape our World.” How does this end? Men like Ed using fame and power to rape and intimidate but then continue through the world collecting accolades.

I hope my coming forward will help others to know that they are not alone, that they are not to blame, and it is not their fault. Just as the other women and men coming forward have helped me to realize the same. I hope that my stories and the stories of others help to reset and realign the toxic environments and power imbalances that have created these monsters.

Westwick responded to the allegations on Twitter:

Cohen has had minor roles in shows and films dating back to 2009, while Westwick is best known for playing Chuck Bass in the TV drama Gossip Girl and for his role in the BBC comedy series White Gold.

LiAngelo Ball, Apparently As Dumb As His Father, Arrested For Shoplifting In China

These damn Balls, huh? Always finding their way into the headlines, one way or another.

UCLA freshman basketball players LiAngelo Ball, Cody Riley & Jalen Hill were arrested for shoplifting in China. The Bruins are in China for their season-opening game against Georgia Tech.

The university said that they are aware of a situation involving the student-athletes in Hangzhou, China and are cooperating fully with local authorities on the matter.

via ESPN:

One source told ESPN that nearly 20 police officers came into the Hyatt Hangzhou at approximately 8 a.m. local time Tuesday and spoke to multiple players from both Georgia Tech and UCLA. The players, according to the source, were kept in a room for hours and not allowed to speak to any of the coaches.

“They weren’t messing around,” the source told ESPN. “The kids were scared.”

The Georgia Tech players were allowed to leave the room hours later, and the UCLA players were seen getting into a police vehicle around 1 p.m. local time, according to the source.

LiAngelo Ball is the middle of the Ball brothers — born between Lonzo and LaMelo — as well as the least highly-touted recruit. Although on scholarship to UCLA, LiAngelo is not seen as the same type of NBA prospect as his brothers.

As for the other two arrested students, Riley is a 6’8 forward ranked No. 45 overall in the class of 2017 by ESPN, while Hill is also a 6’8 forward named No. 49 by ESPN.

Former MLB and Cy Young winning pitcher Roly Halladay died in a plane crash off of the Gulf of Mexico. He was 40-years-old.

Halladay was the Blue Jays’ first draft selection in the 1995 MLB draft, the 17th pick overall, and played for the team from 1998 through 2009, after which he was traded to Philadelphia.

via ESPN:

Roy Halladay, a two-time Cy Young Award-winning pitcher who retired from baseball nearly four years ago, has died in a plane crash in the Gulf of Mexico off Florida. He was 40.

The Pasco County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that a small single-engine aircraft piloted by Halladay was reported down in the Gulf of Mexico earlier Tuesday afternoon.

Halladay recently received his pilot’s license and tweeted photos last month of himself standing next to a new ICON A5 plane, which was the model of aircraft that was recovered Tuesday in the Gulf.

Halladay, a two-time Cy Young award winner, was an eight-time All-Star and went 203-105 with a 3.38 ERA in his 16-year career with the Toronto Blue Jays and Philadelphia Phillies.

During the 2010 season, he threw a perfect game and a no-hitter that postseason.

The Philadelphia Phillies released a full statement:

“We are numb over the very tragic news about Roy Halladay’s untimely death. There are no words to describe the sadness that the entire Phillies family is feeling over the loss of one of the most respected human beings to ever play the game. It is with the heaviest of hearts that we pass along our condolences to Brandy, Ryan and Braden.”

Halladay lived with his wife and two children in Tarpon Springs, Florida.

WWE World Champion Jinder Mahal defends his gold tonight against “The Phenomenal One” AJ Styles. Can Mahal overcome Styles just nights away from his scheduled match against Universal Champion “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series? Or will “The Modern Day Maharaja” fall to a Styles Clash? Only one man will walk away tonight as WWE World Champion. Who will it be? And damn…will Mahal literally kick Styles’ head off this time?

Mahal has risen from the bottom of the card to the very top of the main event. He’s silenced the critics and doubters. No one can hinder Jinder now. But what about AJ Styles? The Modern Day Maharaja has never defended his championship The Phenomenal One. Will AJ be the Achilles’ heel of The Modern Day Maharaja? Maybe if Mahal stays focused on his opponent…

However, I feel as if Mahal is looking past Styles and into the eyes of the beast gazing on from afar. The WWE Champion is looking to convingly defeat his challenger tonight. He’ll then be looking to buy a two-ticket to Suplex City. The downside is…most people don’t make it back for the second trip…

Betting odds for the WWE title match shows that Mahal is ranked as a slight underdog, while Styles is selected as favorite (though by a small margin). According to BetWrestling, Styles is a slight favorite at -155 compared to Jinder’s +115.

The Internet Found That Chick Going Viral For Stealing An Uber Driver’s Tip Money

These internet detectives truly amaze me.

Give them one 10-second clip of some rando chick robbing a poor Uber driver blind, and in a couple of hours, they’ll have the person’s name, location, and Instagram handle. Truly amazing, and creepy, stuff.

Anyway, that’s what happened to 18-year-old Gabrielle Canales here, who recently went viral for video of her robbing money for an Uber driver.

via DailyMail:

Gabrielle Canales, who calls herself Gabita on social media, was identified on Tuesday after footage of her stealing cash from driver Mohammed H. Bhuiyan’s tip jar in August went viral.
On August 12, a scantily-clad Canales was filmed reaching into his jar and snatching his cash as she got out of the car with two friends.

The footage went viral on Tuesday after reappearing online but Canales was remorseless and appeared to revel in her newfound infamy.

She shared screenshots of news articles about it on Instagram and Snapchat and said she ‘only’ took $5 from the man which she claims to have returned later.

And as it turns out, she’s low key thicc:

So, let this be a lesson everyone: if you’re going to rob an Uber driver, rob one without a dashcam.

College Football Playoff Rankings 2017: Week 11 Must-See Team Ranks

$

Despite an insane week 10 slate that saw the likes of Ohio State and Penn State suffer devastating losses, the top four ranked teams from last week were all victorious and held their respective spots in the rankings. Rightfully, both the Buckeyes and the Nittany Lions were knocked out of top-10 while TCU quietly moved into the sixth spot due to their consistent and efficient defense. While you could argue that the Hurricanes were more deserving of the sixth spot with their dominant victory over the Hokies, it’s a nitpicking gripe that could easily be rectified if Miami wins at home against the Fighting Irish this weekend.

College Football Playoff Rankings 2017: Week 11

Although Wisconsin only moved up one spot after their dominant win over Indiana, they could theoretically catapult themselves up the rankings with an impressive over a now ranked Iowa program. Having played a very easy schedule so far, the Badgers needs all of the notable wins they can get and will finally get a chance to prove their unbeaten record is not a fluke against a worthy opponent. The only other team worth taking note of are the Mississippi State Bulldogs, who remained in the 16th spot despite an unconvincing win at home over a dreadful UMASS program.

Ranking Team
1  Georgia
2  Alabama
3  Notre Dame
4  Clemson
5  Oklahoma
6  TCU
7  Miami
8  Wisconsin
9  Washington
10  Auburn
11  USC
12  Michigan State
13  Ohio State
14  Penn State
15  Oklahoma State
16  Mississippi State
17  Virginia Tech
18  UCF
19  Washington State
20  Iowa
21  Iowa State
22  Memphis
23  NC State
24  LSU
25  Northwestern

While there was not any movement in the top four spots in the rankings, both Notre Dame and Georgia will be tested against ranked opponents that are both exceptional on defense. Georgia’s contest against Auburn will be very intriguing as they face a tough defense and an offense that is capable of scoring quickly with quarterback Jarret Stidham at the helm.

Former Nutrition Teacher Arrested For Relationship With Student

LaToya Nicole Parker, a 40-year-old former Maryland nutrition teacher, has been indicted on charges of sexual abuse of a minor.

Parker, 40, is accused of sexually abusing an unidentified 17-year-old male student from St. Charles High School between January and May of 2017. According to reports, Parker is accused of “brazen actions” in an attempt to lure the unidentified student. Allegedly, Parker would remove the student from the classroom and take him to restaurants.

Furthermore, Parker allegedly wrote “love letters” to the student that turned lewd as she would request sexual acts. Parker allegedly showed the student photos of herself, both of her naked and performing sex acts, the Bay Net reports.  The victim was also offered money in return for sex.

via The Bay Net:

The victim reportedly confided in classmates about Parker’s behavior. Then, adults who learned about the alleged actions contacted authorities. Investigators subsequently executed a search and seizure warrant on Parker’s residence.

Detectives confiscated the teacher’s composition book containing the letters to the victim and several electronic devices, including computers and phones. Text messages Parker allegedly sent to the victim were found on the confiscated phones, Freeman stated. The prosecutor stated that Maryland State Police investigators located nearly 50 images and one video matching the descriptions of the materials Parker allegedly showed to the victim.

“I understand she may not have a criminal record,” said Freeman, who added Parker had been placed in a position of public trust when she was hired as a classroom teacher. “She went beyond asking. There is a community aspect of public safety.”
Matin countered, “this is not a rape. There are no allegations of any sexual contact. She has no priors, no record. She’s not a flight risk.”

Parker’s bond was set at $20,000 and she was ordered to have no contact with minors.

Tennessee Teacher Arrested For Inappropriate Relationship With Female Student

Janet Mercedes Smothers, a 25-year-old former Tennessee high school teacher, has been arrested in California for alleged sexual misconduct with a former student.

Smothers, 25, was working in Fresno, California when she was charged with one count of sexual battery by an authority figure for an alleged incident that occurred in Nashville. She is currently awaiting extradition.

Smothers’ arrest was made after a $3 million lawsuit filed by the family of an unidentified teen who claimed that a female teacher at Maplewood High School, identified as Smothers, acted inappropriately during the 2015-2016 school year. The girl was 14-years-old at the time.

via The Tennessean:

Metro Nashville Public Schools failed to appropriately respond or follow federal sexual violence reporting rules known as Title IX, the family alleges in its lawsuit. The allegations come as Metro also faces scrutiny over accusations that educators did not report known or suspected cases of abuse.

“MNPS cares deeply about the students in our district and has policies and procedures that support our requirements as mandatory reporters to report suspected child abuse or neglect,” said Public Information Officer Michelle Michaud, adding the district does not comment on the specifics of a case in which there is pending litigation.

Jessica Baird, a spokeswoman for the Fresno Unified School District, confirmed that a teacher was taken into custody Monday.

“I can just tell you that one of our teachers was taken into custody yesterday at McLane High School. That teacher is now on paid administrative leave,” Baird said in a telephone interview.

Smothers, who resigned from her position in Nashville on April 21, 2016, was hired in Fresno on August 9 after the district conducted a background check.

Metro Nashville Public Schools released the following statement regarding Smothers:

“MNPS cares deeply about the students in our district and has policies and procedures that support our requirements as mandatory reporters to report suspected child abuse or neglect.”

Smothers has been placed on paid administrative leave.

Florida State University Suspends Greek Life

Florida State University has suspended all greek life activity following the death of a 20-year-old pledge last week. The suspension comes on the eve of the university’s homecoming.

The suspension comes following the death of Andrew Coffey. Coffey, a pledge at Pi Kappa Phi, died on Friday, November 3, after he was found unresponsive following a fraternity party. Police said alcohol may have been a factor but were awaiting an autopsy. Coffey, 20, was a junior in his first semester at Florida State.

On the Monday following Coffey’s death, Garrett John Marcy, a member of Phi Delta Theta, was arrested by university police and charged with the sale and trafficking of cocaine. Marcy, a 20-year-old junior, continues to be held in Leon County Jail on a $75,000 bond.

via ABC:

“I just feel like for whatever reason, the message is not getting through,” Thrasher said. “Unfortunately, we’ve got to take steps with our students, to make sure this never happens again.”

Students can continue to live in their fraternity or sorority houses and can hold meetings with the university or their national chapter, but won’t be allowed to hold any other events including any organized participation in homecoming. Thrasher has also banned alcohol at all student organization events during the suspension.

“For this suspension to end, there will need to be a new normal for Greek life on campus. They must participate in that culture,” Thrasher said.

The North-American Interfraternity Conference said in a statement that it was ready to help FSU seek a way forward “that enhances safety and accountability, while respecting the rights of students who model fraternal excellence.”

University President John Thrasher said the duration of the suspension had not yet been determined.

Let’s All Laugh At This Idiot Kid Trying To Flip A Car Like Eleven From ‘Stranger Things’

The first time I watched this video, I couldn’t even watch with the sound on due to the cringe factor. I get that kids have wild imaginations, but this kid just seems a litttlleeee too old to be thinking that she’s going to be able to bust out some telepathy after she saw it in a TV show.

Look, we all played pretend when we were kids. When I went to summer camp in the first grade, me and my buddies used to run around thinking we had Dragonball Z powers. But we were pretending— we didn’t actually think that we were about to turn into Super Saiyans and start reigning down Kamehameha’s on our fellow day campers.

That’s the difference here, but this kid truly believes she’s about to go all Eleven on her sister and flip that car like a pancake. Look at her in the eyes, she’s really ready for her nose to start bleeding and for vaguely Eastern European scientists to start hunting her down.

Just getting absolutely roasted in front of the world because of your older sister <<<<

Week 10, Fantasy Football Start ‘Em 2017: Who To Start This Week

$
0
0

Breathing a sigh of relief, fantasy owners can take solace in the fact that the brutal bye weeks are now less prevalent. While there are still four teams that will not play this week, having two fewer teams on off weeks makes a tremendous difference for fantasy players that would otherwise be unavailable. For any fantasy owners that are in contentious playoff races, it’s paramount that every decision when it comes to starting or sitting players be made very carefully as everyone within your league attempts to discover a slight edge that will give them a crucial victory. For the dedicated fantasy owners that are still in the playoff hunt, it’s about to get real.

Josh McCown, QB, New York Jets (vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

Instagram Photo

Incredibly, Josh McCown has been one of the more efficient stating quarterbacks this season as he has scored below 10 fantasy points only once this season. With eight “money throws” on the season ( a metric that looks at the number of clutch throws or passes requiring exceptional skills, ranks 10th amongst quarterbacks), McCown has looked surgical at times when throwing the ball downfield. Considering the Jets receivers average 1.63 yards of separation per target (9th in the NFL), McCown should have an immense amount of opportunities to gash a Buccaneers secondary that is allowing 272 passing yards per game (30th in NFL).

Orleans Darkwa, RB, New York Giants (vs. San Francisco 49ers)

Instagram Photo

Yes, the running back situation in New York has not been ideal fantasy wise, to say the least. However, one rusher has emerged as a possible asset and Orleans Darkwa could be that player. Averaging 15 rushing attempts per game and 4.95 yards per carry in his last three games, Darkwa clearly has the athletic ability and trust of the Giants to be their go-to playmaker coming out of the backfield. With a favorable matchup against the 49ers this week, Darkwa should be highly valuable in PPR leagues, particularly this Sunday.

Ju-Ju Smith-Schuster, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers (vs. Indianapolis Colts)

Instagram Photo

With wideout Martavis Bryant warming the bench, Smith-Schuster is the clear number two receiver for the Steelers and has stepped up mightily as a big play target for Ben Roethlisberger. Averaging 11.8 yards per target (3rd amongst receivers), Smith-Schuster provides another deep target for Roethlisberger to utilize consistently when Antonio Brown is being blanketed by opposing defenses. With 2.51 fantasy points per target (4th amongst receivers), Smith-Schuster is a must-start against a Colts secondary that is allowing the fifth most fantasy points to wide receivers.

Cameron Brate, TE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (vs. New York Jets)

Instagram Photo

While the quarterback situation in Tampa Bay is not ideal, this does not necessarily detract from the starting value of Cameron Brate. With 28.1% red zone target share (6th amongst tight ends), Brate is the ideal fantasy tight end that is usually placed in the best situations to score the most points. Scoring 12.2 fantasy points per game (6th amongst tight ends), Brate has an impressive scoring floor that is assisted by his strong hands and fearlessness when it comes to fighting for contested balls (57.1% contested catch rate, 3rd amongst tight ends). While Brate had a dreadful game against New Orleans last week (one catch for nine yards), I fully expect the sure-handed tight end to bounce back in a big way against a Jets defense that is fifth worst at defending tight ends.

Clemson Student Body Vice President Impeached For Anthem Protest

The student senate at Clemson University has voted to impeach the student government’s vice president, Jaren Stewart, who refused to stand during the Pledge of Allegiance.

Student Senator Miller Hoffman introduced the impeachment resolution against vice president Stewart, a black student, citing alleged misconduct including accusations of trespassing, theft, voyeurism, and intimidation.

Hoffman denied that the motion was motivated by Stewart’s pledge protest or his race.

Stewart and other students sat through the pledge at a student government meeting on September 25, in solidarity with NFL players protesting police brutality and racial oppression.

via Tiger News:

Clemson Undergraduate Student Body Vice President Jaren Stewart will face an impeachment trial after a procedural error, along with an intense, three-hour senate debate. In a 40-18 secret vote during Monday’s senate meeting, senators voted in favor of holding an impeachment trial for Vice President Stewart. The trial will be held on Monday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. Senator Miller Hoffman filed the articles of impeachment, saying he believes Stewart is unfit to fulfill his duties in student government.

Hoffman brought up allegations made against Stewart in regards to his time as a resident assistant (RA) in April 2017. Hoffman referenced the allegations made in a document that was published online by FITSNews on Oct. 3. The document appeared to detail allegations of misconduct against Stewart. Clemson University spokesperson John Gouch was unable to confirm or deny the validity of the document.

Regarding the articles, Hoffman said that he has given the senate “all the information that I am aware of as of right now and legally allowed to delve into. This is incredibly significant as we have to come to a decision that is fair for the students here at Clemson.” Hoffman also said during the meeting that his concerns regarding Stewart have nothing to do with race nor the pledge protests that Stewart has been under fire for. A few students in the gallery implied such at Monday’s meeting.

Clemson

Furthermore, Hoffman said that with the facts that he found, Stewart could be unfit for his job as CUSG VP.

Clemson’s student body is 83 percent white and 7 percent African-American.

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel Walked Out On Chance The Rapper During A City Council Meeting

$

(Photo by Kevin Winter/Getty Images for NARAS)

Chance the Rapper’s commitment to the public education system in Chicago is well documented, as Chance has donated $1,000,000 of his own money while raising millions of dollars more through other sources.

Chance’s efforts to improve Chicago’s public education system continued today, as he appeared at a Chicago city council meeting to oppose Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s proposed $95 million police academy.

However, it appears that Chicago Mayor and former White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel didn’t have time for Chance’s quarrel with his police academy plan as he exited the room before the outspoken and philanthropic rapper began to speak.

“What is y’all doing? It doesn’t make sense. I’m very confused,” Chance said.

“I’ve been asking for money for over a year now to fund these classrooms and, on the 4th of July weekend, they announced in like a cool financing way that . . . they’re proposing to build a $95 million cop academy.”

via Uproxx:

Chance showed up to a city council meeting to speak to some of Chicago’s leaders about the importance of funding education. Well, he tried to talk to some of the city’s leaders anyway. Chicago’s mayor, Rahm Emanuel walked out on Chance before he even had the opportunity to open his mouth.

Specifically, Chance was on-hand to oppose Emanuel’s efforts to invest $95 million into a brand new police academy for the city, citing the huge gap in education funding. “I guess the mayor had to step out, but it’s cool, it’s cool because I’m here to talk to you guys right now,” he said near the top of his speech. “It’s a very simple thing you guys have to do, we should understand financially that this proposed plan doesn’t make sense. We don’t have $95 million…there are a lot of different services that need to be funded.”

Nevertheless, Chance eloquently stated his opinion, urging the Chicago city council to redirect some of those proposed funds to the public school system.

Either way, whether or not Emanuel’s plan goes through our not, we have a feeling that Chance is going to be an agent of change in Chicago for a long time to come.

Arkansas Teacher Hilariously Sends Insurance Agency Photos Of Herself Instead Of Her Car

Facebook

Alyssa Stringfellow, a 25-year-old (high-key THICCC!) teacher from Little Rock has shared a particularly embarrassing “blonde moment” on social media.

Stringfellow posted to Facebook to share the time she sent photos of herself to a car insurance company rather than her vehicle.

According to Stringfellow, the insurance company asked her to take front and side profile photographs of her vehicle before her new insurance could be completed, however, she misunderstood and sent photos of herself to the insurer himself.

via Facebook:

Once upon a very recent time, I decided it would be a good idea to be added to my memaw’s car insurance policy. Everyone knows you save money with multiple cars, and being single and young…my insurance is pretty high. So, I called memaw and asked her what she thought, and she preceded to call her insurance agent to find out what I needed to do to be added.

She called me back later that evening and said he would need my driver’s license number, my date of birth, and a picture straight on and a picture taken from each side. She gave me his email address and I emailed the information along with the pictures that night. Sometime midmorning the following day (today *hem hem*), I check my email and find THIS response:

“Hi Alyssa, I am going to need pictures like you just took, except it needs to be of your vehicle. :)” As you can see, I didn’t send pictures of my car…I sent him pictures of myself🙃

You always hear about “blonde moments”, but I guess they’re more real then I could have ever imagined. Just imagine standing outside of your house, taking pictures of yourself to send to a random insurer. Only blondes.
