Ellen Kershaw is the gorgeous wife of Los Angeles Dodgers All-Star pitcher Clayton Kershaw. Ellen and Clayton are high school sweethearts, as they got married after dating at Highland Park High School in Dallas, Texas.

Selected with the seventh overall pick in the 2006 MLB Draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers, Kershaw immediately proved his immense value. After quickly working his way through the Dodgers’ farm system, Kershaw made his major league debut on May 25, 2008.

Kershaw led the Los Angeles Dodgers to the 2017 World Series, their first appearance since winning it all in 1988. Kershaw started in the NLCS series-clinching Game 5, leading the Dodgers to a victory over the defending champion Chicago Cubs.

There’s widespread speculation regarding a mass protest on November 4th against U.S. President Donald Trump and his entire administration. Right-wing online conspiracy theories point to an all out civil war between Trump supporters and Anti-Trump protesters (particularly the group Antifa). But the organizers of the protest on November 4th are hoping for a nonviolent demonstration reminiscent of the Women’s March earlier this year.

News of the November 4th protest first broke out on September 26 when a group of protesters blocked rush-hour traffic on Highway 101 in Los Angeles, holding up signs advertising the date of the protest.

Here’s a video of the activist group Fight Fascism blocking rush-hour traffic to raise awareness and send out a warning to the opposition:

The Facebook page that posted the video described the scene:

In Los Angeles — Protesters Block Highway 101. Carrying signs that say November 4th it Begins… This nightmare must end. The Trump/Pence Regime Must Go! November 4 It Begins.”

According to article in LA Weekly, USC film professor Peter Hoberman was among the protesters blocking traffic to draw attention to their “Nov. 4th” warning against the U.S. president and his administration. Hoberman is a member of the national steering community for the group Refuse Fascism. The protest lasted for 20 minutes, before Hoberman and seven others were arrested on misdemeanor charges and kept in custody for 12 hours.

Hoberman said that the November 4th demonstration will be modeled after January’s Women’s March protest.

What Does Refuse Fascism Hope To Achieve?

They hope that the event lasts for several days or as up until Donald Trump and Mike Pence are out of the White House.

A donation site for the November 4 planned mass-protest says:

November 4th needs to be the start of sustained, prolonged protest in the streets. Day after day, night after night, people need to continue to come out and demand the ouster of this fascist regime.

They plan to end “the nightmare” of the “Trump/Pence Regmine. If you go to their website, you’ll find out more about November 4:

We will gather in the streets and public squares of cities and towns across this country, at first many thousands declaring that this whole regime is illegitimate and that we will not stop until our single demand is met: This Nightmare Must End: the Trump/Pence Regime Must Go!”

When you click on the call to action page, you’ll see:

ON NOVEMBER 4, 2017 Take To The Streets And Public Squares in cities and towns across the country continuing day after day and night after night—not stopping—until our DEMAND is met.”

On the class to action page, Refuse Fascism shares their aspiration to grow this movement into a true threat to the regime, with thousand and then millions of participants:

Our protest must grow day after day and night after night—thousands becoming hundreds of thousands, and then millions—determined to act to put a stop to the grave danger that the Trump/Pence Regime poses to the world by demanding that this whole regime be removed from power.

The Refuse Fascism’s Los Angeles Facebook page seems to also be going after certain sects of Christianity. A post from September 28 saya:

On November 4th-WE WILL FLOOD INTO THE PUBLIC SQUARE.  In our millions we will force the entire world to take note of our uncompromising actions. This is the only reasonable way to end this nightmare. Waiting till 2018 or 2020 represents a misunderstanding that this is fascism and that the Trump/Pence regime are fighting furiously to consolidate their rule (eliminate opposition and resistance) and impose a white supremacist, misogynistic, bible-taken-literally America-first vision on all of humanity. Are you ready to fight furiously for the future of humanity and the planet? Join with others from a diversity of perspectives. Take up this call to action.

Will The Protest Become Violent or Nonviolent?

Refuse Fascism is not calling for violence, though they don’t condemn those who fight a fascist regime by any means. In early September, the group denounced those who attack Antifa; an anarchistic-communist group who has been known to take part violent clashes with their opponents, sometimes initating the violence themselves. Refuse Fascism praised Antifa for fighting against those who seek to impose fascism and for their actions in protecting counter-protesters during the Charlottesville incident in August. The group said any attempt at attacking Antifa is “designed to intimidate, suppress, and divide all opposition to fascism.”

The group wrote:

Given the horrific assault on Muslims, women, immigrants, LGBTQ, Black people, science, the environment, civil liberties, and people around the world by this regime, it is more important than ever that people have the right to stand up to fascism, to protest and to resist. Differences over tactics, where they exist, must not divide the people’s resistance.”

Refuse Fascism has refuted all headlines asserting that “Antifa is calling for violent riots on November 4” or “Antifa planning terror attacks on November 4”. The group had said in an earlier statement that they only organize non-violent protests.

In a statement on September 9, the “anti-fascist group” Refuse Fascism wrote on its website:

Refuse Fascism does not initiate violence.  We oppose violence against the people and among the people, but we uphold people’s fundamental and legal right to self-defense. We welcome and actively seek to involve people who come from a great diversity of views on many big questions, including when and whether any form of violence is ever legitimate. This is a great strength as it will take millions of people working and struggling together to stop a fascist America by driving out the Trump/Pence Fascist Regime. The efforts we undertake together consist of nonviolent political protest.

Reddit Response

One Trump supporter on Reddit is fearing the worst for November 4th. In The_Donald subreddit, one Redditor started up a thread titled “So what is the plan for November 4?” and wrote: “In my opinion I say we should all be arming ourselves and taking to the rooftops and streets to defend our cities. If they want a war I say let’s give it to them. Let them fire the first shot and then let those pathetic commie bastards know we mean business. What is the consensus of the rest of you? I love my country, and even though I am not a military serviceman I would still gladly lay down my life for my country. Should we be preparing ourselves for war? Or do we stand by? Because again in my opinion if these commies follow through with this plan it will only cement a Trump victory in 2020.”

Other Twitter users suggested that fear surrounding November 4th is propaganda. “Don’t go looking for a throw down,” one user wrote. “You’d be doing exactly what they want, just go about your normal lives and refuse to even acknowledge their special little occasion.”

In one Conspiracy subreddit, one Reddit told his readers to stock up on food, water, gold, silver, and medicine, along with guns and ammo, before November 4. While most people feel that the protest won’t last through Sunday night.

Refuse Fascism has denouced political violence, and say that they plan a peaceful demonstration against the Donald Trump and Mike Pence on Novemeber 4.

A group of men have volunterred their services to lie face down in the street while a herd of cows run over them. Why would anyone do such a thing? It’s for atonement and prosperity for your family, village, and yourself. Now, would you lie down and be stepped on by a cow?

Over in central India in the city of Ujjain, a group of guys volunteered to line down for a herd of trampling cows. Hundreds of cows participant. Many of the human participants are usually injured while taking part if the ritual, but it thought that while they heal, their luck will grow.

Many gathered in the street to watch as the men were trampled.

The ritual is in apart of Ekadashi, which is also often observed by fasting. It is the eleventh lunar day of the two lunar phases, according to the Hindu calendar. The timing of this fasting day is according to the position of the moon. But this month’s Ekadashi was particularly significant as it fell immediately after Diwali, the festival of light.

The cows who take part in the ritual are decorated with bright colors, garlands, and henna. These creatures are considered the most sacred animals in the Hindu religion. The pain of being trampled on by cows is said to be a sacrifice to this sacred animal.

Shane O’Mac opens SmackDown

Shane says that if you’re going to get into a fight, it’s best to hit first. That’s what he did last night on Monday Night Raw. Kurt Angle insulted the SmackDown roster, and Shane showed Angle that the blue brand is a force to recognize. McMahon says that SmackDown is ready for Survivor Series.

Sami Zayn comes out next. He says to Shane, “no hard feelings about Hell in a Cell, right?”

Shane says there’s “a lot of hard feelings.” Zayn responds that if McMahon was a competitor, he’d take him out in one second and hurt him “worst than when (he) left Hell in a Cell.”

Zayn says that the reason he’s out here is that him and KO volunteer their services to be involved in the Survivor Series Raw vs. SmackDown match. Shane says that he doesn’t want or need Zayn or KO to represent them at Survivor Series. But if they want to be in the match, they’ll need to earn their way into the Survivor Series team. All Zayn will have to do is defeat his opponent. His opponent is “The Viper” Randy Orton.

The New Day vs. Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin

Kofi Kingston and Shelton Benjamin battle to start off the match. Benjamin catapults Kingston who lands on his feet. Kingston catapults Benjamin, and he also lands on his feet like a cat. Kofi dropkicks Benjamin’s leg and then tags in Xavier Woods. They both double-team Benjamin.

When we return from the break, we see Benjamin hitting Kofi with a huge superplex for a 2 count. Both men are down. The fans chant for The New Day. Kofi and Benjamin are able to tag in their partners at the same time. Xavier Woods and Chad Gable enter the ring.

Xavier Woods and Chad Gable trade shots. Woods is able to get the best of Gable, and dropkick him in the back of the head against the ropes. Woods goes for the pin. 1…2…kick out!

Woods takes down Gable again, but isn’t able to get the 3 count he needs. Gable is able to tag in Benjamin, who immediately takes the fight to Woods. Benjamin takes down Woods and goes for the cover. 1…2…kick out!

Benjamin levels Woods with a spinebuster. Gable gets the tag once again. They attempt to double-team Woods, but Kofi Kingston comes in to make the save.

After a back and forth match, Woods runs the ropes only to be kicked in the back of the head by Benjamin while the referee wasn’t looking. Chad Gables capitalizes and takes out Woods.

Baron Corbin vs. Sin Cara

Baron Corbin dominates Sin Cara in the opening moments of the match. Corbin is relentless, but Cara comes back and springboards on his opponent. Corbin is knocked out of the ring. Cara is in control and performs two consecutive suicide dives on his opponent.

Corbin gets frustrated and beats Sin Cara down into the mat. The referee tells Corbin to stop assaulting his opponent who is next to the ropes. Corbin refuses and keeps punching Cara while the referee counts to five and disqualifies “The Lone Wolf.”

Sin Cara defeats Baron Corbin via disqualification

Post-Match: Baron Corbin continued the assault after the match. He Sin Cara down in the ring. And then when the ring announcer announced Sin Cara as the winner, Corbin pulled his victim out of the ring and hit him with an End of Days.

Jinder Mahal is Pissed AF

The WWE World Champion Jinder Mahal says that he’s Brock Lesnar’s worst nightmare. After he defeats “The Beast Incarnate” at Survivor Series, the fans will be forced to respect him. Jinder says that he’s earned his spot, starting from the bottom and reaching the very top of this industry.

Styles immediately drops Sunil Singh with a head-butt. Styles makes quick work of Singh and locks in the Calf Crusher for the win.

Fatal 5 Way to Determine a Team Captain for Survivor Series: Becky Lynch vs. Naomi vs. Carmella vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Tamina Snuka

Carmella takes the fight to Charlotte, as Tamina targets both Becky and Naomi with a double-suplex. Becky and Naomi fall out to the floor. Tamina takes out Charlotte, who joins Naomi and Becky outside the ring. Carmella tries to shake Tamina’s hand, but is dropped with a Samoan Drop.

When we return from the break, Charlotte Flair is on fire as she takes out both Tamina and Carmella. Flair hits a flawless fall-away slam. Naomi drops Becky. Flair pushes Naomi into the barricade and then sets her sights on Tamina, but Lana stops her. This pisses off Flair, which provides the distraction that allows Tamina to almost take her head off with a superkick.

Flair is then sent over the barrier into the crowd. Meanwhile, Becky is busy fighting Tamina. Naomi returns to the ring and dropkicks Tamina through the ropes. Becky enters the ring and rolls up Naomi for a close count of 2. Carmella slides back into the ring and sends Naomi shoulder-first into the barricade. Carmella then attempts two pin-fall attempts on “The Irish Lass Kicker” Becky Lynch. After she can’t put away Becky, she argues with the referee. She takes the fight back to Lynch, but gets caught in the DisArmHer.

After a back-and-forth match, Becky Lynch reigns victorious after taking out Carmella with the DisArmHer. Carmella taps out.

UP NEXT: Sami Zayn vs. Randy Orton

Sami pisses off Orton, who unloads with a series of uppercuts. Sami runs out to the floor to catch his breath, Orton follows after him and ends up eating a kick. Sami hits a moonsault as we go to the commercial break.

Zayn is still in control as we return from the break. He levels Orton with a heel kick. But Orton gains momentum and drops “The Underdog of the Underground” over the top rope. Orton continues the punishes with a clothesline and a powerslam, and then continues the assault outside the ring.

Orton recovers and attempts an RKO, but Zayn rolls him up in a pinning position. Orton is able to kick out, and Sami immediately kicks his opponent and drops his back down to the mat. The fight spills to the outside and Zayn is able to execute a leaping DDT onto Orton through the ropes.

The fight returns to the ring and Orton dodges a Helluva Kick. The Viper hits a rope-draping DDT. Kevin Owens runs down to the ring to provide a distraction to assist Zayn, but this backfires when Orton lowblows Zayn. Orton hits an RKO for the win.

Heather Lind is a 34-year-old American actress who is known for her portrayal of Anna Strong in the AMC series Turn: Washington’s Spies.

Heather, who is the twin sister of actress Christina Bennett Lind, was born in Upland, Pennsylvania, and was raised in Guilderland, New York. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in 2005 at Fordham University and her Master of Fine Arts in acting at New York University’s Graduate Acting program.

Heather Lind, an AMC actress on the show Turn: Washington’s Spies claims that former President George H.W. Bush groped her from his wheelchair during a screening.

NBA handshakes are one of the more ridiculous sights in sports.

Entertaining for sure, but every time I see one I can’t help but wonder how much time was spent creating it in the first place. Think about it: two grown-ass men (both in age and size) sitting in a corner essentially playing pattycake until they nail down an overly complicated handshake that’s indecipherable from the last.

All that said, there’s no need to go all Grinch on NBA handshakes because, at the end of the day, they’re entertaining … especially when Kevin Love is involved.

For whatever reason, maybe its because he’s got a goofball personality, maybe its because he’s like the only white guy on the Cavs, but for whatever reason, Love is always getting clowned on, and it’s not different now that Wade’s in town.

Sure, it probably has more to do with Wade’s new to Cleveland and less to do with Kevin Love’s corniness, but it’s much funnier if you pretend its the former.

Two people were shot and killed early Wednesday morning at Grambling State University in Louisiana.

According to Grambling State University spokesman Will Sutton, the victims were identified as Earl Andrews, 23, a Grambling State University senior from Farmerville, Louisiana, and Monquiarius Caldwell, also a 23-year-old from Farmerville. Caldwell was not a student at the university.

Stephen Williams, a spokesman for the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office, said that Andrews and Caldwell were found in a courtyard between two dormitory buildings.

Media Relations Director Will Sutton said that the shooting happened during an altercation in the campus courtyard.

During that argument, Sutton said an unknown person shot Andrews and Caldwell before fleeing the scene. Grambling State’s Police Chief said that students reported hearing five or six shots fired. Sutton says GSU’s Police Chief received a phone call from a student to his cell phone and dispatched officers. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

GSU campus police are working with the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office on the investigation. Investigators are currently reviewing surveillance footage.

Media Relations Director Sutton said all Homecoming activities and classes are scheduled to go on as normal.

The suspect has not yet been identified.

Legendary New Orleans musician Fats Domino has passed away at the age of 89-years-old.

Antoine “Fats” Domino Jr. was an American pianist and singer-songwriter of French Creole descent. Five of his records released before 1955 sold over a million copies and were certified as gold records. Domino had 35 records in the U.S. Billboard Top 40.

Domino’s musical style was based on traditional rhythm and blues, accompanied by saxophones, bass, piano, electric guitar, and drums.

Moreover, Mr. Domino’s signature piano triplets — three notes for every beat — became the basis of rock and pop ballads for the next three decades, including such diverse recordings as the Beatles’ “Oh, Darling,” Otis Redding’s “These Arms of Mine” and even Percy Faith’s “Theme From ‘A Summer Place.’ ”

In a music style identified with rebellion, Mr. Domino wasn’t very rebellious in his approach. In a 35-35 tie with 1:08 to play and the game on the line, Dawson High School’s kicker approached the 20 yard line. After a perfect snap, one swipe of the leg was the decision maker between which team was going home with a 5-1 record.

Claire Jeffress, Dawson High’s senior kicker and homecoming queen, went viral after video of her game-winning kick proved that girls do have what it takes to make it in the male dominated sport of football.

Jeffress began kicking in seventh grade and spent two years in Dawson’s JV team before turning varsity last season. In her varsity debut, she went 4-4 in extra point attempts.

At only 5-foot-3, Jeffress only began attempting field goals last season after being relegated to extra point duty, and has yet to perform a kickoff. Still, she makes sure that her small stature does not warrant any special attention while the football field.

“Whenever I put on my pads or I go on the field, he’s like, ‘You’re not a girl right now. You’re a football player.’ ” Jeffress said to Chron.com. “Then, when we get back to the school, he’d be like ‘OK, Claire, you can be a girl now again.”

On the pitch, Jeffress is an established member of Dawson’s women’s soccer team. She’s scored 11 goals in her career at Dawson, and was a first-team selection for her district in April.

The spotlight doesn’t seem to bother Jeffress. In fact, see seems to actively seek it out. She kicked another game-winning field goal two weeks ago to seal a 14-13 win over George Ranch, and was crowned homecoming queen a week later.

Following Dawson’s homecoming game against Brazoswood on October 13, Jeffress posed with her homecoming sash, tiara, and bouquet of roses while still donning her football jersey and pads. In a world where women are still under represented in major sports, Jeffress’ field goals bring hope that perhaps that won’t be the case for much longer.

The dog days of fantasy football have begun. With six teams on a bye this week, studs at every major position will be inactive, affecting how fantasy owners craft their ideal lineups. While this week will be detrimental to more owners than others, there are still a plethora of waiver wire acquisitions to be made that are worthy to replace your reliable starters. Even before you go that far though, it’s always worth taking a moment to see what you already have on your bench. Who knows, one of your intriguing bench warmers could be insanely productive this week, providing that the matchup is favorable of course.

Philip Rivers, QB, Los Angeles Chargers (vs. New England Patriots)

One of the most overlooked fantasy quarterbacks every year, Rivers always establishes a steady statistical floor every season. Scoring below his projected point total on just two occasions, Rivers almost always finds ways to be productive even against elite defenses. Against the Patriots this week, Rivers and the Chargers should have their pick in how they choose to dismantle this inept secondary. Whether he decides to utilize wideout Travis Benjamin in the deep game or check down to his steady slot receiver in Keenan Allen, Rivers should be able to mix up the ways he wants to attack the Patriots defense. While Rivers may not have the highest scoring ceiling amongst starting quarterbacks, if there was ever a game for the veteran passer to go off and score like crazy, this is it.

Devonta Freeman, RB, Atlanta Falcons (vs. New York Jets)

By and large, the once high-flying offense of the Falcons has been mostly ineffective this year. Considering they were only able to score seven points against the Patriots on Sunday night, many owners have rightfully been wondering if it’s time to drop Matt Ryan. While Matt Ryan’s lack of production is a legitimate concern going forward, it has not affected the potency of Atlanta’s rushing attack. Scoring single-digit points only once this season, Freeman has been a breakout threat in both the rushing and passing game. Although Freeman has looked benign in his last two starts, the fierce ball carrier is due to bounce back in an immense way against a Jets defense that is one of the worst at stopping the run. While it’s fair to be frustrated with the Falcons inexplicably poor passing offense, don’t sleep on Freeman and Atlanta’s rushing game just yet.

Pierre Garcon, WR, San Francisco 49ers (vs. Philadelphia Eagles)

Without question, the 49ers offense has been amongst the worst this season. Devoid of serious playmakers (especially at the quarterback position), the 49ers are clearly a team that is looking towards a supposedly bright future. However, one player has made the most of his dubious situation and has quietly put up solid fantasy numbers since the beginning of the season. Considering his lowest target share has been five in a game this season, Garcon has a nice point scoring floor, especially in PPR leagues. Although poor quarterback play has prevented Garcon from converting his massive target share into eye-popping point totals, he’s arguably the most reliable weapon for the 49ers, which means that he’ll have more opportunities to score big. While he would be a risky start during most weeks, the bye week peak has vaulted him into the starting line up for many fantasy owners.

Tyler Kroft, TE, Cincinnati Bengals (vs. Indianapolis Colts)

Finding sure-handed receivers to rely on can be an exercise in futility during bye weeks. For tight ends, this is especially true considering how banged up that particular position has been this year. However, the Bengals were fortunate to find a current and potential long-term replacement for productive albeit severely injury-prone tight end, Tyler Eifert. Last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Tyler Kroft proved to be a reliable intermediate target for quarterback Andy Dalton as he caught four passes for 23 yards and a touchdown. Considering Kroft was able to score 10.30 points in PPR leagues against one of the best pass defenses in the league, it stands to reason that the youthful pass-catcher should be able to elevate his production against a Colts defense that has allowed the ninth most fantasy points to tight ends. Combine that with the fact that the Bengals depleted offensive line will force Dalton to throw short passes more often than not and Kroft should be that much more valuable come Sunday.

With production beginning on the eighth and final season of Game Of Thrones, the cast is doing the media rounds, discussing all sorts of things, from where the shows been to where its headed now.

One of the most extensive interviews is with Kit Harington, the frustratingly handsome actor who plays Jon Snow. Speaking during an appearance on England’s The One Show Harington touched on all sorts of topics, such as how he deals with his Thrones-level fame, an unseen episode of GoT that only the show’s creators have seen, and even his reactions to the season 8 script.

Speaking to The One Show hosts Ricky Wilson and Alex Jones, the 30-year-old Thrones superstar admitted that the season 8 script caused him to cry.

“I’m really emotional about it. We had the read through last week, so I know everything. But I cried at the end – not over anything particular that happened – but it’s been 8 years and no one cares about it more than we do.”

Now, the question is, is Harington crying because he appreciates the utter artistic beauty of the show, or because he or a character close to him get straight bodied by an ice dragon? Only time will tell.

Production of Game Of Thrones eighth and final season began in Belfast in early October. The final season is expected to premiere in either late 2018 or early 2019.

Ohio State’s student section is asking fans on their official Twitter account to wear black for an upcoming Penn State game, in a promotion called #BlackoutTheShoe.

‘Spread the Word…#BlackoutTheShoe’

The request is being asked for all Buckeyes fans who are attending the Saturday game against Penn State at the Ohio Stadium, according to Land of 10.

Beyond being slimming, why do they want people to dress in black? It holds a two-fold purpose. On one hand, it is intimidating.  On the other hand, it is meant to be a pun; Penn State held a “White Out” game just last week.

The Ohio State players won’t be wearing black, but they’ll already be pretty close, wearing all-gray alternate uniforms. The jersey, pants and even the helmet will all be in grey.

What can we expect from the upcoming game?

Last season, Ohio State, the No. 2 at the time, lost at Penn State at 24-21, on a blocked field goal that was returned for a touchdown. During this new game, however, Penn State’s Nittany Lions are the ones to have the No. 2 ranking.

Meanwhile, Ohio State is 6-1 this season, Penn State is 7-0 overall, and both teams are 4-0 in the Big Ten. It is expected that the winner of the game will become a new favorite in the Big Ten East.
