Martin Shkreli, AKA the Pharma Bro AKA the world’s biggest douche, who is currently awaiting sentencing for a fraud case, was thrown in jail back in September after he posted to social media asking his followers to procure a lock of Hillary Clinton’s hair. You know, Martin Shkreli things

Given his slight frame and general shit-eating grin, one would imagine that prison would be hell-on-Earth for a dude like Shkreli. Alas, the little-troll-that-could is still full of surprises, as apparently, he’s telling his friends that prison is not “that bad”.

Writing to his friend Lisa Whisnant, Shkreli describes prison as “not that bad”  and the “bright sides” it offers.

The 34-year-old is spending his time mentoring fellow inmates, reading, playing chess — and learning to deal with sharing a small, cramped cell with a snoring roommate, pal Lisa Whisnant told The Post.

“Things are not THAT awful here,” inmate 87850-053 wrote to Whisnant, underlining “THAT” three times. “There are some bright sides. I am teaching these prisoners some new things and hopefully some ways to change their lives.”

Following the mixed verdict in August, Shkreli joked on his livestream that he’d be kicking back at “Club Fed” — playing basketball and Xbox.

According to Ms. Whisnant, Skreli is handling jail with “typical Shkreli style.”

He brings people together and shares his knowledge. Martin was meant to be a teacher. He loves it. He’s a natural.” Shkreli did admit, though, it’s not all fun and games.

“He says he has a small uncomfortable bed, and his sleep quality is very low,” shared Whisnant, who says she’s known the infamous internet troll for two years.

Shkreli’s also been subjected to “sorrowful stories,” he writes, such as a purported mobster crying in his room.

“There’s a lot of pain on these [prisoners] that people don’t see,” Whisnant said, regarding the alleged wiseguy’s whimpers. “He’ll be absolutely fine. He always is.”

Shkreli was tossed behind bars when Brooklyn federal Judge Kiyo Matsumoto took Facebook postings about Hillary Clinton as a solicitation for assault. Shkreli, in typical Shkreli fashion, tried to defend his actions under the guise of satire. Needless to say, Matsumoto was having none of it, as she revoked his $5 million bond and ordered him held until his January 16 sentencing.

Convicted on two counts of securities fraud and one count of conspiracy to commit securities fraud in August, Shrekli faces up to 20 years in prison.

All in all, it’s just another bonkers quote from the world’s most punchable face, which continues to lead me to believe that Shkreli’s one true goal in life is to be immortalized as the biggest troll who has ever lived.

The first trailer for the much anticipated new Star Wars movie was released during the halftime show of tonight’s Monday Night Football game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Cubs. Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set to hit theaters on December 15, 2017, but you’ll be able to see a teaser for the movie tonight.

First, the official synopsis for Star Wars: The Last Jedi:

Luke Skywalker’s peaceful and solitary existence gets upended when he meets Rey, a young woman who shows strong signs of the Force.

However, it appears that the director of The Last Jedi is advising fans to avoid tonight’s trailer if they “want to come in clean” and watch the film not knowing what will happen. Basically, he’s warning fans against the real dangers of a spoiler alert. Apparently, tonight’s trailer will reveal something truly significant.

Hurricane Nate made landfall near Biloxi, Mississippi early Sunday as a Category 1 storm. Photos and videos have surfaced online, showing the great extent to Nate’s strength. Nate weakened to a tropical depression later that morning, dropping down to 35 mph.

Hollis A. Daniels, a 19-year-old Texas Tech University freshman, allegedly shot and killed a police officer on campus last night.

Daniels, 19, pulled the gun on the officer in the police headquarters in Lubbock, Texas around 7:45pm Monday night and shot him in the head.

According to police, the 19-year-old from Seguin was taken to the police station for a “debriefing” after campus police found drugs in his room during a welfare check. As police and Daniels entered the headquarters, Daniels allegedly opened fire, killing the officer, who is still unidentified at this time.

It is unknown whether he was armed or got the weapon from inside the building.

At the TTU police station, Daniels is accused of pulling a gun and fatally shooting an officer. The suspect ran off and a full SWAT call out was made.

“During this time, the suspect pulled a gun and mortally shot an officer,” Texas Tech Police Department Chief Kyle Bonath said. “The suspect fled on foot and later apprehended by TTPD near the Lubbock Municipal Coliseum.”

Daniels was taken into custody at 9:28 p.m. according to officials with the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office. He was found near the Lubbock Municipal Coliseum. Sources say Daniels’ ripped off the officer’s body camera after the shooting, but the camera was found around 10:30 p.m.

Once Daniels was taken into custody, the lockdowns at Texas Tech University and University Medical Center were lifted. Classes will resume normally on Tuesday, Oct. 10, but officials say people still need to avoid the Texas Tech Police Department and the north side of campus.

According to KCBD, T.C. Richards, a student at Texas Tech, although he found out about the active shooter situation, many students walking around, unaware of the situation. He decided to drive around and pick up students and take them to their dorms. He said he pulled over in the parking lot of the Jones AT&T Stadium to send a text to a friend about the shooting. He then noticed a man walking next to his vehicle who matched the description of the shooter.

“He walked out from behind the football stadium, between the football stadium and the training facility, started walking across the parking lot, in the same exact clothing he was wearing. He kept looking back at my truck. My headlights were on and he kind of walked pretty quick,” Richards to KCBD.

Officials with Texas Tech Police, Lubbock Police Department, Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office, Federal agents, and the Texas Department of Public Safety were all called to assist with the lockdown.

Greg Abbott, the Governor of Texas, released a statement on the shooting:

“First and foremost, our hearts go out to the family of the police officer killed at Texas Tech University. I have spoken to Chancellor Robert Duncan to offer my condolences, and I have mobilized the Texas Department of Public Safety to offer any assistance to the Lubbock Police Department. As the Texas Tech campus deals with this heartbreaking tragedy, Cecilia and I pray for the continued safety of the students and the entire community.”

Robert Duncan, Texas Tech University System Chancellor, also released a statement on the tragedy:

“Words can’t express how saddened I am by the tragic loss of one of our Texas Tech University police officers tonight. Terri and I offer our thoughts and prayers to the officer’s family and the Texas Tech University Police Department. I would like to thank Governor Greg Abbott, Lubbock Mayor Dan Pope and all of the law enforcement professionals from across the area who supported our campus during this time of need. Our Texas Tech family is strong and will support each other as we grieve.”

The shooting prompted a lockdown on the Texas Tech Lubbock campus for over an hour.

Cariann Denise Hithon, a 22-year-old honors student at Temple University, was shot dead on her birthday by Miami Police after she allegedly driving drunk and hitting a police officer.

Hithon was shot and killed on Sunday, October 8, by a Miami Police officer who claims he had to open fire when she drove into a fellow officer. A video posted to the internet shows Hilton’s car run over Officer David Cajuso, prompting the second officer to shoot into the window.

According to reports, Hithon, who was celebrating her birthday in South Beach, was driving erratically around 6:15pm before crashing her black BMW into another car on 12th Street and Ocean Drive. Hithon then allegedly sped through a red light and hit a car on Lincoln Road. She then attempted to drive off again in what police called an “apparent attempt to flee the scene.”

When Miami police caught up with Hithon, Officer Cajuso went to stand in front of the car in an apparent keep Hithon from driving any further. She then attempted to flee again, running over Officer Cajuso, which led to the second officer open firing. She continued to travel on 12th Street after the shooting and came to a complete stop after hitting another parked vehicle.

“She started the car and ran away,” said witness Miguel Garcia. “She was, like, going over the policeman in front of her, the officer.” Garcia said when he saw the woman’s face, she had a wild, crazed expression.

“She was staring, it was very scary looking, I think she was on drugs or something,” said Garcia.

Another cop unloaded on the BMW after the officer was run down. The BMW continued westbound on 12th Street where it struck a Pathfinder SUV and came to a rest. The woman was taken to the Ryder Trauma Center where she died. A man who was with her in the car was taken for questioning. The girl’s father Cary Hithon reached by phone in Bowie, Maryland told CBS4 his daughter was in South Florida celebrating her 22nd birthday.

“We just had a conversation recently… she was going to do great things for society and our culture,” said Hithon. “She wanted to make a difference in the lives of people who weren’t as fortunate as her.”

An investigation is underway, and the name of the police officer who killed Hithon has not been released.

In a recent email sent to students, the University of Hawaii has given students tips on how to prepare for a nuclear attack, acting out of concerns with growing tensions between North Korea and the United States. That said, the email is believed to be only one part of the state’s campaign to prepare for a nuclear attack.

According to the email, the current risk is actually low, but ‘cannot be ignored’

The email, which was entitled, “In the event of a nuclear attack,” wrote that, “In light of concerns about North Korea missile tests, state and federal agencies are providing information about nuclear threats and what to do in the unlikely event of a nuclear attack and radiation emergency,” according to Hawaii News Now. We have contacted the university for the full email, and will update this story if there is a follow-up.

As the email explained, during an assault, the school’s 10 campuses will follow protocol from Hawaii’s official emergency management officials. Students will normally be alerted to danger by emergency sirens, that will be part of an outdoor siren system, at which point students will need to shelter in place.

The email then linked to a presentation from the Hawaii Department of Defense. The 30-page file assured that a nuclear attack was unlikely, but was something that cannot be ignored. Directly comparing current events to fears during the Cold War, it was said that the current risk was far lower, but also warned that there are currently no relocation plans, designated fallout shelters, or federal funding for attack-related emergencies. Still, Hawaii is developing a two-phase plan. In addition to the outdoor siren system, the state will also release emergency alerts on television and on smart phones.

“In the last two years, there was 56 missile launches,” as Hawaii state Rep. Gene Ward said, according to KTVQ, “That is a wake-up call.”

The pre-scripted message that will play during an attack

“The U.S. Pacific Command has detected a missile threat to Hawaii. A missile may impact on land or sea within minutes. This is not a drill.”

“If you are indoors, stay indoors. If you are outdoors, seek immediate shelter in a building. Remain indoors well away from windows. If you are driving, pull safely to the side of the road and seek shelter in a building or lay flat on the ground.”

“We will announce when the threat has ended.”

Fast-moving wildfires have been destroying building throughout the Napa area of Northern California, spurring evacuations from the area, affecting at least 44,000 acres of land early Monday.

‘Most of the people are leaving their homes. This is a big event.’

The fire has become so widespread that Governor Jerry Brown has issued an emergency proclamation for three counties: Napa, Sonoma and Yuba counties.

“These fires have destroyed structures and continue to threaten thousands of homes, necessitating the evacuation of thousands of residents,” as the proclamation said.

“These fires have damaged and continue to threaten critical infrastructure and have forced the closure of major highways and local roads.”

It does not seem like the wildfires will be contained or stop anytime soon

No deaths have been reported as of yet, but people have been treated for injuries related to the fire at local hospitals. The three evacuation centers for people affected by the fire are Calistoga Fairgrounds, Napa Valley College and Crosswalk Community Church, but authorities have said that all three places are full. So far, there haven’t been any known issues with people who are unwilling to evacuate the area. According to Napa County Sheriff John Robertson, “Most of the people are leaving their homes. This is a big event.”

According to the LA Times, at least 1,500 buildings, including homes and businesses, have been destroyed. With local officials trying to control the fires, amid high winds and hot, dry weather, there is little sign of the fires ending anytime soon. A lack of resources, combined with humidity levels, are also reportedly complicating issues for firefighters. “As of right now, with these conditions, we can’t get in front of this fire and do anything about the forward progress,” said County Fire Chief Barry Biermann in a statement.

Alina Sheykhet, a 20-year-old University of Pittsburgh student, was found dead in her off-campus home on Sunday, October 8 with blunt force trauma injuries. Officials are investigating the incident as a homicide.

Police responded to the Russian-born Sheykhet’s house around 9 AM on Sunday after her parents found her unresponsive on the second floor of the residence. Sheykhet was found by her father who broke down the door after she failed to answer calls, finding that had been beaten to death. Her roommates had thought she was sleeping.

While the Allegheny County medical examiner ruled the death a homicide, it was not specified what, where or how Sheykhet was struck on her body or what type of object may have been used.

Police are now looking for her boyfriend Matthew Darby, 21, of Greensburg. Darby has not been charged in Sheykhet’s death, but was arrested two weeks ago and charged with one count of felony criminal trespassing related to a September 21 incident at Sheykhet’s home. Sheykhet ought an abuse order against Darby on September 20.

On Monday, crime scene tape remained in place around the home on Cable Place. Pittsburgh police were also knocking on doors to speak with neighbors. “Right now we are looking at several different possible scenarios as to the circumstances surrounding this,” Pittsburgh Police Sgt. William Vollbergn said.

Sheykhet’s father told KDKA’s John Shumway that after graduating from Montour, Sheykhet spent her first two years of college at Pitt’s Greensburg campus, where she met then 19-year-old Matt Darby, a basketball player on the Pitt Greensburg squad. When she moved to the Pitt main campus, she tried to end the relationship with Darby, but her father says Darby continued to chase her.

Police issued an alert for Darby on Monday asking the public to keep an eye out for him. On Sept. 20, Sheykhet filed an application for a PFA against Darby for breaking into the second-floor window of the home she was renting on Cable Street in Oakland. Darby was arrested for the break-in and charged with criminal trespass. He was released after posting $10,000 bond.

In the PFA, Sheykhet said Darby was upset that she broke up with him.

According to her Facebook, Sheykhet attended Montour High School in Robinson, Pennslyvania after moving from Ivanovo, Russia.

University of Pittsburgh campus police are working with the city’s Violent Crime Unit on the investigation. While no suspect has been arrested, local police say that people should not feel threatened. Police are asking anyone with information on Darby to call police at (412) 323-7800.

In a bombshell report from The New Yorker,  it has now been revealed that police with the Special Victims Division outfitted model Ambra Battilana Gutierrez with a wire one day after she told them Weinstein had grabbed her breasts and tried to put his hand up her skirt during a March 2015 business meeting in his New York City office.

According to the report, Weinstein met Gutierrez, who was 22 at the time, at Radio City Music Hall’s “New York Spring Spectacular”. The report says he told her that she looked like actress Mila Kunis.

Following the alleged incident in his Tribeca, New York City office, Gutierrez met Weinstein at the bar of the Tribeca Grand Hotel, wearing a wire.

The recording obtained by Gutierrez reportedly captured him bragging about the “many actresses whose careers he advanced and repeatedly urging her to go with him to a room upstairs.”

Gutierrez followed Weinstein upstairs, stopping outside the door to Weinstein’s room. The report states that Gutierrez refused to enter the room, instead asking him why he had attacked her the previous day.

“Oh, please, I’m sorry, just come in,” Weinstein reportedly replies.

“I’m used to that. Come on. Please.”

Gutierrez then asks: “You’re used to that?”

“Yes,” Weinstein says, adding: “I won’t do it again.”

However, at the time, Manhattan DA Cyrus Vance Jr. decided not to press charges. A spokeswoman for the Manhattan DA’s Office said: “After analyzing the available evidence, including multiple interviews with both parties, a criminal charge is not supported.”
