Earlier this summer, news came out that the Game Of Thrones showrunners were going to film multiple series finales in order to combat the incessant leaks HBO experienced during season seven.

And while it sounds like a good idea on paper to the casual fan who is sick of internet pirates holding our beloved show hostage, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, the actor who plays Jaime Lannister, took a more practical approach.

Speaking to Marie Claire, Coster-Waldau (truthfully, does anyone on Earth know how to pronounce this dude’s name?) expressed his doubt that HBO was actually going to shell out the cash and manpower to final unneeded additionally episodes.

“Do you think that’s true? It seems really stupid to me. I mean if it’s true I don’t believe it, but I don’t know, maybe. I mean, I haven’t read the script, so unless they will show several endings that could be a twist, they’re not going to waste that money. They know how expensive it is to shoot. You’re not going to waste $100,000 a day to shoot something you’re not going to use. It’s not going to happen.”

While Ser Jaime certainly has a point, if production cost rumors are to be believed, HBO is already tanking $90 million into the final season, so what’s another $10 million here or there. Honestly, whatever it takes to thwart the leaks, we’re here for.

The production of Game of Thrones eighth and final season, which will only have six episodes, begins in October. While no official release date has been revealed, rumors suggest that the final season of GoT will not premiere until late 2018 or early 2019.

Two Polk County officers were shot, and one was killed during a shooting in the area of Santa Claus Road and Highway 100. One suspect has been taken into custody. While another suspect is still at large, and is considered armed and dangerous.

One officer was shot, but saved by his bulletproof vest. Meanwhile, another officer wasn’t so longer, as he died from his gunshot wounds.

The second suspect in the shooting, Seth Brandon Spangler, is still at large. He is accused of shooting two police officers, and killing one. He is said to be wearing a backpack. Here is his mug shot.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation issued a blue alert and a statement, describing the suspect, Seth Brandon Spangeler as a white male, who is 5’8″, 130 lbs, and has brown eyes and hair. The bureau suggests that he is in the area of 123 Santa Clause Road, Cave Spring, GA.

They also warned residents not to approach the suspect, as he is “considered armed and dangerous, do not approach, dial 911.”

As a kid, there’s nothing like learning a new curse word. It was almost like a shady drug dealer pulling up on the corner, but instead of selling drugs, it was dirty words. LaPorta, who is now a freelance journalist in Southern Florida, looks as though he’s cursing to himself everytime his son utters the slang term for fornicate.

Like most of us, LaPorta says he “tries really hard to be mindful, but sometimes it’s the best word for multiple situations.” Agreed, Jim. F*cking agreed.

On Wednesday, Kendra’s longtime friend and former boyfriend Hugh Hefner passed away. She was deeply moved by Hugh’s death. “Hef changed my life,” she told E! News. “He made me the person I am today. I couldn’t be more thankful for our friendship and our time together. I will miss him so much but he will be in my heart forever.”

The 32-year-old model and TV personality had previously stated that Hugh’s death would be absolutely devastating to her and her family.

“I worry every day you know he’s at that age and I’m not gonna lie every day I open up my social media I pray that I don’t see what we think might happen. He honestly is my family,” said Wilkinson. “The day that comes will be devastating to me and my family.”

Kendra first rose to fame as one of Hugh Hefner’s girlfriends on the E! reality series The Girls Next Door. Who? Exactly — Carla Gugino never gets the credit she deserves, even though shes absolutely stunning and is always popping up in movies or television shows you’ve likely seen. She was Amanda Daniels in Entourage, she pops up in Sin City (Google it — totally worth it, trust me), Night At The Museum, Spy Kids, Watchmen and San Andreas.

And now she’s got this new Netflix movie, Gerald’s Game, that actually doesn’t look half bad, so I figured it time we truly appreciate Carla Gugino in all her glory.

Born in Sarasota, Florida, Gugino is of Italian, English, and Irish descent and is described as “Bohemian”.

Gugino’s television work during the late 1980s and early 1990s included appearances on Saved by the Bell, Who’s the Boss?, ALF, Doogie Howser, M.D., and The Wonder Years. After playing Michael J. Fox’s love interest, Ashley Schaeffer, during the first season of the sitcom Spin City in 1996, Gugino starred with Nicolas Cage in Brian De Palma’s Snake Eyes, and in Judas Kiss, which she also co-produced.

She starred in two short-lived TV series: ABC’s Elmore Leonard crime drama Karen Sisco in 2003, and CBS’s science fiction series Threshold in 2005. Also in 2005, Gugino appeared as Lucille in the feature film adaptation of Frank Miller’s graphic novel, Sin City, and in 2006, she appeared in the movie Night at the Museum.

After four weeks of college football, there is a Friday night contest between two undefeated. The Miami Hurricanes are currently the 14th best team in the country according to the AP poll and boast a 2-0 record. Miami entered the season with hopes of capturing an ACC championship and a victory against Duke will definitely help them on their quest. Duke, on the other hand, was expected to be slightly above average going into the season but have started off the season 4-0. However, Duke now has to play a top 25 opponent. A victory here would be huge for the Blue Devil’s season as well as the university as a whole.

The Miami Hurricanes entered the season with several question marks. The largest issue was the departure of starting quarterback Brad Kaaya. Kaaya, in his college career, had 69 touchdown passes and over 9,000 yards passing. Replacing him was going to be extremely difficult for the Hurricanes until they stumbled upon junior quarterback Malik Rosier. So far this season, Rosier has seven touchdown and only one interception. His mobility and throwing accuracy are a lethal combo that helps keep defenses on their toes whenever he touches the ball. If Miami plans on winning this difficult road game, Rosier will need to have a big game. This game is especially important for Miami considering the fact that they still have to play Florida State and Virginia Tech this season. With those two extremely difficult games, Miami cannot afford to drop this game.

The Duke Blue Devils entered this season with hopes of rebounding from their 4-8 record in 2016. Duke was expected to have a respond extremely well this season but not too many people thought that the Blue Devils would have already matched last season’s win total in only four games. Last week, Duke managed to upset state-rival North Carolina 27-17 due to 14 points in the fourth quarter. Duke also impressively dismantled Northwestern earlier this season and won 41-17.

Duke’s success is due to its balance on the offensive side of the ball. At the helm is sophomore quarterback Daniel Jones who has eight touchdowns and only two interceptions. Despite the team’s struggles last season, Jones was a bright spot on the roster as he threw for over 2,800 yards along with 16 touchdowns. Jones has kept the hype train rolling and has looked remarkably comfortable for a true sophomore under center.

However, Jones’ success is also due to the amazing running game that the Blue Devils possess. Duke currently has two running backs with at least 300 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Both running backs, Shaun Wilson and Brittain Brown are also averaging over 5.8 yards per carry. Both backs are also extremely skilled pass catchers and are very viable targets for Jones. With two all-around backs on the roster, Duke has the ability to substitute each back constantly so both backs will not get fatigued. If Duke plans on pulling off the upset, both backs will need to keep the chains to keep Miami’s potent offense on the sidelines.

As for my prediction, I am gonna side with the Blue Devils. Miami has only played two games compared to Duke’s four due to various hurricanes which postponed two separate games. I think this hurts Miami because it has prevented the team from maintaining any type of momentum. Meanwhile, Duke is off of a huge win against North Carolina and should have a huge home crowd in attendance. I think that home crowd generates enough of a boost to propel Duke to a victory.

I see Duke successfully moving the chains on crucial third downs and dominating the time of possession in this contest. I see Duke winning by a field goal.

Multiple pedestrians were struck by a vehicle in Midtown Manhattan Friday afternoon. The incident happened on 31st Street and 7th Avenue at around 5:24 P.M. EST. A red van jumped the curb and struck two women and one man.

At least three people were hit. Two women and one man was struck by a red van. Their injuries are being described as non-life-threatening.

As a result of today’s incident, 7th avenue is being closed off, while dozens are firefighters are responding to the scene.

The driver of the vehicle was reportedly taken into custody, according to FOX 8 WGHP journalist Lori Denberg.

Presently, the incident is not considered to be an act of terrorism or terror-related. Authorities are currently investigating the incident.

This upcoming Halloween, you might just happen to see people wearing banana costumes. Whether it is ironic or not, or whether the person had either Brian Griffin or Onision in mind, because heaven knows memes never die, you are bound to see one or two bananas who may or may not be in pajamas. That said, you might want to be careful with your costumes this year, since the bananas are now the subject of a copyright infringement lawsuit, and we have New Jersey to thank for that.

Be careful when choosing ‘another vendor…’

Rasta Imposta, a costume manufacturer for Silvertop Associates, has provided Kmart with banana costumes since 2008, having started selling the costume since 2001 and also obtaining a copyright registration in 2010. This year, however, Kmart decided not to renew their agreement and find “another vendor” to help fill the orders.

After noticing that Kmart was offering a similar costume, Rasta Imposta is now seeking damages from Kmart and its parent, Sears Holdings Corporation, for charges of copyright infringement, trade dress infringement, and unfair competition, and the case has gone to a federal court in Camden, New Jersey.

Now, it should be perfectly legal to make another banana costume, but the lawsuit argues that Kmart’s new line is too similar to those developed by Rasta Imposta. Reportedly, they’ve citied a similar shape, the similar black ends of the banana, similar cut-out limbs, and even similar advertising.

As trademark lawyer Sonia Lakhany explained, according to Sentinel Source, “It’s not that the subject has to be original…It’s that the expression of that subject is original. That’s what copyright registration protects-the original expression of what you would call a normal object. There are many, many ways to showcase the same object in an artistic medium.”

At this time, the results of the suit is anyone’s guess. Kmart could argue that the designs are different enough, but the fact that they had a relationship with Rasta Imposta for nearly a decade is notable. Rasta Imposta notably filed a similar lawsuit in 2014 over a bacon-and-egg costume with Party City, although the case was settled, according to court records. Who knew food costumes were such big business?

Overwatch Discovers A Big Bug

A big bad bug was found causing trouble for players of Overwatch, causing many innocent players to be banned for no reason. This bug is currently being fixed.

A few hundred Overwatch players received seasonal bans as a result of this troublesome bug. This nuisance caused players to be stuck in a loop in the loading screen, as they tried to start the match, only to fail over and over again.

The game thought that players were just leaving on purpose, which resulted in players losing hundreds of ranked points. And if you leave too many times, you’ll receive a seasonal ban (like the few hundred who got bit bad by this bug).

However, don’t fret. Overwatch is working on the issue. They’ve already lifted all bans relating to the bug, and have restored ranked points to all the innocent players.

After four weeks on the college football season, there is an extremely important Big Ten game between Northwestern and Wisconsin. Wisconsin’s season started with extremely high expectations. The Badgers were in the preseason top ten according to the AP poll. Currently, the Badgers are ranked tenth in the country and boast an undefeated record. Meanwhile, the Northwestern Wildcats are currently 2-1 and are looking for a huge win to potentially put them in the top 25.

Wisconsin’s success so far this season is due, in large part, to sophomore quarterback Alex Hornibrook. Through three games this season, Hornibrook has eight touchdowns and only one interception. Last season, Hornibrook was thrown under the fire and became the starter of the Badgers mid-season after he subbed in for quarterback Bart Houston. Horninbrook experienced some growing pains last season and it looks like that experience has helped him over the course of this season.

Hornibrook’s success has also been due to the offensive balance within this Badgers offensive system. Freshman running back Jonathan Taylor has looked amazing this season with 438 yards rushing and five rushing touchdowns. Taylor entered the season behind both Bradrick Shaw and Chris James on the depth chart but became the undisputed starter after his amazing 223 yard performance against Florida Atlantic. Taylor’s success has set up the play action pass for Hornibrook which is a huge reason for his success.

The Northwestern Wildcats entered the season with hopes of building on last year’s success. Last season, the Wildcats made a bowl game and defeated Pittsburgh in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl. This season, Northwestern was expected to have a solid year and return to another bowl game. However, Northwestern suffered an embarrassing defeat against Duke in the second week of the season which might have hurt their bowl game chances. Still, the Wildcats are currently 2-1 and a victory against the Badgers would be a season-changing victory.

Northwestern’s success is due to senior running back Justin Jackson. Jackson has had over 11oo yards rushing in every season of his college career and is currently averaging 4.5 yards per carry this season. In the bowl game last season, Jackson had three touchdowns and over 200 yards rushing. In order to pull off the upset, Jackson will have to have a big game and will have to move the chains to help keep the Badger offense off the field.

As for my prediction, I think the Badgers win this game by double digits. Wisconsin has great balance on offense and will use it to keep the Northwestern defense off balance. Northwestern will also struggle due to a lack of playmakers in the passing game. Although Jackson is a great running back, I expect Wisconsin to stack the box and force Northwestern to beat them through the air which they will be unable to do.

With four weeks of the NCAA football season in the books, there is an SEC contest between the Tennessee Volunteers and the Georgia Bulldogs. Both teams had extremely different expectations entering the season and nothing much has changed since then. Georgia is currently ranked seventh in the country according to the AP poll and is poised to potentially win a national championship. Meanwhile, Tennessee is 3-1 but has looked anything but impressive over the first four games. However, a victory over this top ten foe would definitely help silence the doubters and put Tennessee back on the map.

Georgia started the season with extremely high hopes. The Bulldogs have lived up to those expectations so far are are currently undefeated. The most impressive part of their season thus far is who the Bulldogs have beaten. In the first four weeks, Georgia has already defeated top 25 ranked Notre Dame on the road and top 25 ranked Mississippi State at home. If Georgia managed to run the table for the rest of the season, expect them to be in the college football playoffs.

Georgia’s success is due to freshman quarterback Jake Fromm. Fromm was expected to be the backup quarterback this season behind Jacob Eason. However, Eason got injured earlier this year and Fromm was thrown under the fire as the immediate replacement. However, Fromm has looked remarkable this season and has thrown for seven touchdowns and only one interception. Fromm has looked extremely good as the starter and one has to wonder if Eason will get his starting quarterback job back when he is healthy once again.

However, Fromm’s success is also due to the success of Georgia’s running game this season. Georgia currently has three elite running backs on the roster and their success had opened up a lot of holes in the secondary for Fromm to exploit. Running backs Nick Chubb, D’Andre Swift and Sony Michel are each averaging over five yards per carry and have at least one touchdown. Either running back could be a starter on the majority of college football teams in division I. Unfortunately for all the other teams, Georgia has all three.

Tennessee started the season with somewhat low expectations. The Volunteers had to replace both their starting quarterback and running back from last season. However, despite those losses, the Volunteers were still ranked in the AP top 25 at the start of the season. In week one, Tennessee had to pull off a remarkable comeback against Georgia Tech and won 42-41 in double overtime. However, Tennessee’s luck ran out against the Florida Gators in their third game of the season in which the Volunteers lost on a Hail Mary pass with no time left.

Tennessee’s 3-1 record is due to star running back John Kelly. Kelly is averaging 5.6 yards per carry and also has six touchdowns. Kelly’s success has helped the Volunteers overcome rather lackluster quarterback play. Tennessee’s quarterbacks have combined to throw seven touchdowns and four interceptions so far this season. If Tennessee plans on pulling off this upset, their quarterbacks will need to play one of their best games.

As for predictions, I expect Georgia to win by a few touchdowns. Tennessee has looked extremely unimpressive this season against weaker competition and now has to play a top ten team. Personally, I think Georgia’s three headed monster in the backfield will be too much to handle and I see Tennessee having no answers. Georgia has the better quarterback and the better defense so I really cannot see how the Volunteers can keep this game close.

After four weeks of college football, there is an SEC contest between two top 25 teams. The Auburn Tigers are currently the thirteenth ranked team in the country according to the latest AP poll. Joining them in the AP poll is none other than the Mississippi State Cougars who are the twenty-fourth ranked team in the country according to the AP poll. Both teams entered the season with high hopes and a win here could help cement either team as being the second-best team in the SEC behind Alabama.

The Auburn Tigers entered the season in the AP poll top 15 and were expected to compete for a conference championship. So far this season, the Tigers are 3-1 and look poised to win their first conference championship since 2013. However, Auburn’s perfect record was ruined by the number two ranked Clemson Tigers who defeated Auburn 14-6 back earlier this season. In that game, Auburn’s star quarterback Jarrett Stidham was sacked an astounding 11 times. However, Auburn has rebounded quite nicely from that defeat and beat both Mercer and Missouri by at least two touchdowns.

Auburn’s offense is led by star quarterback Jarrett Stidham. Stidham was originally a quarterback for Baylor back in 2015 before transferring to Auburn in search of more playing time. In 2015, Stidham threw for 12 touchdowns and only two interceptions. Stidham is an extremely talented dual threat quarterback who can also generate tons of yards on the ground with his legs. However, Stidham has struggled so far this season and has only four total touchdowns in four games.

One reason for Stidham’s underwhelming statistics this season is the extremely talented running back group on this Auburn team. Auburn has three separate running backs with over 180 yards rushing and each of them have scored at least one rushing touchdown. Running backs Kam Martin, Kamryn Pettway and Kerryon Johnson have destroyed their competition this season and look to continue their success against Mississippi State. Last week, Johnson had five rushing touchdowns against Missouri and one can expect him to get the ball on goal line and short yardage situations. The only question is whether or not Mississippi State can actually stop him.

The Mississippi State Bulldogs started the season with hopes of building upon last season’s bowl victory against Miami (OH). So far this season, the Bulldogs have looked extremely solid on both sides of the ball and the team has won several games as a result. The Bulldogs made national headlines when they upset top 25 ranked LSU with a 30 point victory. However, the Bulldogs’ euphoria of winning quickly faded as they were pounded by Georgia last week and lost by 28 points. Now, the Bulldogs look to rally and return to their winning ways. If the Bulldogs manage to pull off this upset, expect them to jump a ton of teams in the AP poll next week.

The Bulldogs’ success is due to junior quarterback Nick Fitzgerald. So far this season, Fitzgerald has looked extremely well in the air and on the ground. He has 12 total touchdowns and only three interceptions. Last season, Fitzgerald became the focal point of this offense and had 37 total touchdowns with only 10 interceptions. Fitzgerald has the skills and size to be a professional quarterback in the NFL and a great performance here might cement him as a draft pick in the first few rounds of the draft.

As for predictions, I have to side with Auburn. It is extremely difficult for a team to travel into Jordan-Hare Stadium and to defeat these Auburn Tigers. Auburn has a dual threat quarterback, a great running back committee and a very solid defense. I expect Mississippi State to keep the game close but I think Auburn squeaks out a victory in a very close contest.

Alright, this is getting ridiculous. Trump supporters are routinely labelled as “racist, sexiest, white supremacists,” and as “Nazis,” and here is the outcome. This is an insane demonization tactic that casts tens of millions of people as deplorable subhumans that are deserving of disdain and possibly violence.

Can you look out at a sea of Americans, and lump together crowds of millions into targets of hate? Is this progress? What is going on with the USA today?

Many of our political and media elites have sent out the call to look upon anyone with a red “Make America Great Again” hat as a blood-thirsty racist, worthy of unrestrained outrage. Trump supporters have been framed as the rise of the Fourth Reich that needs to be swiftly dealt with.

Here in this video, a girl is seen being gang-assaulted. Why? It’s hard to tell. However, The description of the video says that “Black guys fights white girl for wearing a donald trump hat….is he wrong?”

But this phenomena is more of a broader political-societal issue than being emblematic of the continued rift in race relations. Many of the other major stories of Trump supporters being attacked is known to have been perpetrated by radicalized white men who are driven to political violence, either out of an extreme leftist ideology, hatred for all things Trump or the idea that they’re simply protecting society from “hate speech,” fascism or increased capitalism.

Donald Trump wasn’t worthy of my vote in 2016. But it’s hard for me to demonize millions of people simply for their choice in a silly election. Millions of minds don’t think as collectively as politicians and “hate-mongering” think-tanks might argue; we all have individual concerns, dreams, fears, and aspirations for the future. To label all these minds as “racist,” “sexiest” and the like is not only grossly generalizing and wrong, but extremely dangerous. They’ve likened millions upon millions of concerned citizens to the scum of society simply for sticking with the other side of the contemporary American political spectrum.

Is this the America we want?

But maybe this video has been mislabeled and sent out to troll Trump supporters, centralists, and people who don’t seeing political violence much like myself. But really…people getting targeted for wearing a MAGA hat is nothing new.

The UFC is expected to have three important events in the month of October. UFC 216 as well as UFC Fight Nights 118 and 119 will keep UFC fans highly entertained as high quality fighters will be going at it in the Octagon. October will be filled with UFC veterans who are looking to relive their past glory and potentially become title contenders once more. Fighters like Lyoto Machida, Glover Teixeira and Fabricio Werdum will all try to rebound from losses in their previous fights and become contenders once again. This month’s schedule also includes various fighters that may have been flying under the radar in the early parts of their careers. Fighters like Kevin Lee and Trevor Smith will have another opportunity to become household names in the MMA community. Overall, this month’s schedule looks pretty solid.

The main event for this card is a Lightweight contest between two title contenders in Tony Ferguson (22-3) and Kevin Lee (16-2). Both fighters are in the midst of large winning streaks with Ferguson winning nine straight fights compared to Lee’s five. Both fighters are extremely gifted on the ground which should lead to very strategic wrestling and grabbling from both sides. Expect a highly competitive and entertaining fight between these two contenders.

The other newsworthy fight in this card is a Heavyweight contest between Derrick Lewis (18-5) and Fabricio Werdum (21-7-1). Both fighters will look to end their current losing streaks and it should lead to a very entertaining fight. Lewis was knocked out by Mark Hunt in his last fight while Werdum lost in a decision to Alistair Overeem. Werdum, the former UFC Heavyweight champion, is the favorite in this fight but Lewis’ knockout power is a factor that Werdum should not take lightly. This fight should be short and sweet. Expect this fight to end before round three.

UFC Fight Night 118: Smith vs. Emeev

UFC Fight Night 118 features a ton of underrated fighters that most common UFC fans might not know. However, this card is full of future contenders who currently boast very impressive records. The card itself features six fight at this moment in time but that could potentially change in the future. The main event for the card is a Middleweight fight between Trevor Smith (15-7) and Ramazan Emeev (15-3). Both fighters are submission specialists so this fight should involve a constant struggling for position on the ground. Expect this fight to be rather though but highly strategic.

UFC Fight Night 119: Brunson vs. Machida

Location: Sao Paulo, Brazil
TV Channel: FS1

This UFC Fight Night contains a fight card with six fights currently listed and includes several UFC veterans. This fight card includes Glover Teixeira (26-6) who is trying to rebound after a five round defeat in his last fight. Teixeira will have to fight Misha Cirkunov (13-3) who is a relativeness unknown. However, Cirkunov is a submission specialist so Teixeira will have to be extremely careful.

The main event for Fight Night 119 will be a Middleweight fight between Derek Brunson (17-5) and Lyoto Machida (22-7). Machida, the former UFC Light Heavyweight champion, is currently on a two fight losing streak and is looking to return to his winning ways. Brunson is coming off of a first round knockout victory against Dan Kelly (13-2) and is looking to build on that momentum to potentially become a contender in the not so distant future. It is worth mentioning that this fight will take place in Machida’s home country of Brazil where he has won four out of five fights in his career. This fight should be a very tight contest where both fighters can end it quickly due to their knockout power.
