Clowney ran like the wind on the side of the field. But then danger came knocking once again in the form of Bengal’s quarterback Andy Dalton who annihilated the opposition a.k.a. Jadeveon Clowney. That guy Dalton laid out this linebacker.

Lousiana police are investigating the death of Maxwell Raymond Gruver, an 18-year-old student at LSU, as a possible fraternity hazing incident.

University spokesman Ernie Ballard said Gruver, an 18-year-old LSU freshman from Roswell, Georgia, died on Thursday, September 14, after he was taken to a Baton Rouge hospital to be treated for an unspecified “medical emergency.” An autopsy is planned for Friday, September 15.

LSU President F. King Alexander said police are investigating allegations that alcohol was a factor. Furthermore, President Alexander says that Phi Delta Theta, the fraternity involved in the investigation, has been suspended by the university and its national chapter.

“The death of Maxwell Gruver was tragic and untimely,” F. King Alexander, the university’s president, said in the statement. “There are allegations that Maxwell’s death was related to hazing, but I want to emphasize that this is an evolving situation.”

Mr. Alexander said that all fraternity and sorority activities at the school were suspended indefinitely. Recruitment at fraternities and sororities there ended last month.

The national office of Phi Delta Theta announced on Thursday evening that it had suspended the university’s chapter, adding that its officials had been working with the authorities in Louisiana. The office said that Mr. Gruver, who was from Roswell, Ga., was a prospective member at that chapter.

“We’re committed to investigating this situation thoroughly,” Bob Biggs, the chief executive at Phi Delta Theta, said. “The chapter and any individuals who are found to have violated our policies will be held accountable.”

Gruver, who graduated from Blessed Trinity Catholic School, had not yet pledged with the fraternity. All Greek activities at LSU have been suspended indefinitely.

While no one has ever confused Andy Dalton for Peyton Manning, the former Pro Bowl quarterback has looked like a shell of his former self at the start of this 2017 season.

Through 2 games, the Bengals offense has not been able to score a single touchdown, mustering just 9 points over 8 quarters of football.

Dalton isn’t the only problem, though, as the Bengals rushing offense has yet to get going as well.

Either way, Dalton is the easiest target and will likely be the main scapegoat for whats shaping up to be a poor season in Cincinnati, so Twitter started piling on the former TCU quarterback early and often.

We have a feeling it’s going to be quite the long season in Cincinnati.

Jack Johnson is a singer-songwriter, musician, actor, record producer, documentary filmmaker, and former professional surfer. He was born in North Shore, Hawaii. His music centers multiple types of genres, including folk rock, soft rock, acoustic rock, and surf rock. In 2001, he achieved commercial success after the release of his debut album, Brushfire Fairytales. Johnson has reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart with his albums Sing-A-Longs and Lullabies for the Film Curious George in 2006, Sleep Through the Static in 2008, To the Sea in 2010, and From Here to Now to You in 2013. Johnson’s In Between Dreams album peaked at number 2 on the chart in 2005 and again in 2013.

Johnson’s All the Light Above It Too, released on September 8th, 2017, is his seventh studio album. The album is a little under 40 minutes, exploring rock, folk rock, and surf rock.

An interesting information regarding his artistic creation is that the album was mostly inspired by the sayings of Donald Trump, surfing, and camping. Also, Johnson had just recently worked on the short documentary, “Smog of the Sea”, and released his song “Fragments”.The documentary took a one-week journey through the sea to study animals and sea creatures. This got Johnson thinking about what Trump has said about pollution and global warming, and has also included this in his album. Johnson’s songs were mostly written while he was camping in the wilderness, or on boats.

When I first encountered the cover art of the album, I instantly knew the setting or background was the beach. The sand and the brightly colored objects instantly brought me to the conclusion. It appears as if he is lying down with his acoustic guitar, surrounded by an array of beach objects and other interesting pieces of artwork. Besides that, the title of the artist and his album name is referred above, with block letters.

I first listened to “Subplots.” It is definitely the type of music movie directors would include during a romantic time between a guy and girl. Also, this type of groove is what I put on when I drive to the beach, somewhere beautiful and free, where I can be stress less and giddy. “Big Sur” starts out with beautiful guitar chords, with his warm and sweet voice blending in without interruption. I ultimately feel positive and energized as I walk through my day, caught in reverie and good vibes. My favorite selection is “Love Song #16.” The simple guitar background and his casual yet talented vocals present a deeper relationship between his performance and my exposure. I seem to automatically understand the meaning and depth of his music. Overall, this album elicits positivity, brightness, and rejuvenation.

Tori Amos is an American singer-songwriter, pianist, and composer. Known for her singing capabilities, she is vocally and classically trained as a mezzo-sopranist.

Amos won a full scholarship to the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University at the age of five, the youngest person ever to have been admitted. Years later, Amos was the lead singer of the short-lived 1980s pop group Y Kant Tori Read before achieving her breakthrough as a solo artist in the early 1990s. Her songs focus on a broad range of topics, including sexuality, feminism, politics, and religion.

Amos is a multi-instrumentalist, who can perform on the piano, harpsichord, clavinet, and Hammond organ, to name a few. Now examining the new album, the cover art invokes a dark, gloomy, and hazy atmosphere. As I look at the album, I feel instantly sucked into a chilly and eerie forest setting. Her ginger, luscious hair definitely sticks out as a bright spot, something unique within the shady background. Not only that, there seems to be a snake-like shaped smoke, or lasso of mist surrounding her. After all, the album title definitely fits its visual content.

When listening to the album, her taste and genre definitely revolve around alternative rock, baroque pop, chamber pop, classical, electronica, and pop rock. Especially in her first song, “Reindeer King,” the contagious chords and eerie aura definitely send chills down my spine. Her dreamy vocals and complicated runs on the keyboard evoke a sense of peace yet terror. “Cloud Riders” speaks to me through an imaginary point of view. In other words, the thoughts, lyrics, and images that surface when I listen to this song are drawn from my imaginations, aspirations, and from distant places. As for “Chocolate Song,” I was drawn to it mainly because of its title. Her vocals flow as if it is bouncing notes on a steady stream of sweetness and enjoyment. The guitar meshed with her presence ultimately shape the character of the album, one of instinctive, dreamy, and natural essence.

Her fifteenth studio album, Native Invader, released on September 8, 2017.

The unpredictability of these games is what makes college football one of the most intriguing and emotionally intense sports that any football fan can become engrossed in. 1. UCLA Bruins (25) vs. Memphis Tigers

After pulling off one of the biggest comebacks ever against the Texas A&M Aggies, the high-flying offense of the UCLA Bruins will look to overshadow the potent rushing attack of the Memphis Tigers. While quarterback Josh Rosen is an incredibly smart and confident passer, I believe that the Memphis Tigers’ running game will prevail over a UCLA defense that has been abysmal at keeping the opposition out of the end zone.

Final Score: Bruins 34 Tigers 40 Spread: UCLA -3.0

2. Oklahoma State Cowboys (9) vs. Pittsburgh Panthers

Two weeks into the season, 103 points for the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Granted their first two opponents were Tulsa and South Alabama respectively, but the Cowboys have arguably one of the most dynamic offenses in college football. Pittsburgh on the other hand struggled mightily against an elite Penn State program. Barring a miracle, the Panthers are destined to suffer a similar fate when they take on Mason Rudolph and the Cowboys relentless offense at home.

Final Score: Cowboys 48 Panthers 28 Spread: Oklahoma State -12.5

3. Duke Blue Devils vs. Baylor Bears

After sustaining several devastating injuries on defense while working through growing pains with the freshman quarterback Daniel Jones, the Duke Blue Devils have looked spectacular on both offense and defense this season. The Baylor Bears on the other hand have looked bad….like losing to Liberty and UTSA bad. While the Bears will dig deep and find a way to be competitive for the first half, their lack of consistency on defense and offense will do them in when all is said and done.

Final Score: Blue Devils 34 Bears 20 Spread: Duke -14.0

4. Tennessee Volunteers (23) vs. Florida Gators (24)

Two big name SEC programs with even bigger expectations will go head to head to find out if either one is legimately ready to take a decisive step towards getting into the College Football Playoff. While Volunteers quarterback Quinten Dormady has looked respectable thus far, he has not faced a defense as dominant as Florida’s. Conversely, the Gators looked incredible against the Alabama Crimson Tide throughout most of the game defensively, but were gassed down the stretch due to an offense without a solidified identity. I’ll give the Gators the slight edge here because they’re at home and have a suffocating defense that should rattle the Volunteers offense just enough for them to sneak away with a much needed victory.

Final Score: Volunteers 13 Gators 20 Spread: Florida -4.5

5. Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs. Boston College Eagles

After a devastating loss to the Georgia Bulldogs in week 2, the Fighting Irish will be immensely determined to bounce back emphatically against the Eagles. While Fighting Irish quarterback Brandon Wimbush is still a work in progress, they have a terrific veteran running back in Josh Adams who is more than capable of carrying his team against weaker defenses. Although the Eagles have a few nice playmakers on defense, as a whole it won’t be enough to stop Notre Dame.

Final Score: Fighting Irish 30 Eagles 21 Spread: Notre Dame -13.0

6. Wisconsin Badgers (9) vs. BYU Cougars

Once again, the Wisconsin Badgers will be reliant on a stout defense and a physical running game to overcome their opponents. While this may not be enough to compete for a national title, it will be more than enough to dispatch a Cougars team that is devoid of any reputable offensive playmakers.

Final Score: Badgers 28 Cougars 10 Spread: Wisconsin -16.0

7. LSU Tigers (12) vs. Mississippi State Bulldogs

Although LSU quarterback Danny Etling has not looked like an elite passer this season, he is at least better at protecting the football while allowing his potent rushing attack and formidable defense to do most of the heavy lifting. While the Bulldogs have quarterback issues of their own, their defense and running game has shown moments of greatness. For any LSU fan that is overlooking this game as an easy win, I would strongly advise against it. This one will come down to the final seconds of the game.

Final Score: Tigers 29 Bulldogs 28 Spread: LSU 7.5

8. Oregon Ducks vs. Wyoming Cowboys

A notable match up in particular because of all the attention surrounding Cowboys quarterback Josh Allen, this game could offer more intrigue than it appears. Ducks quarterback Justin Herbet has been nothing short of spectacular and Josh Allen looked decidedly better against Gardner-Webb in week 2. It’ll be a close one, but I expect the improved play of Allen and an underrated Cowboys defense to get the job done at home.

Final Score: Ducks 27 Cowboys 33 Spread: Oregon 14.5

9. Clemson Tigers (3) vs. Louisville Cardinals (14)

By far the most exciting match up of the weekend, this wild rematch should be extremely competitive considering the improved quarterback play of Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson and the crushing defense of Clemson. While Clemson no longer has DeShaun Watson at the helm, Kelly Bryant can make all of the throws Watson can while using his legs to gain first downs if a play breaks down. In the end, the fact that Clemson is a better all-around team will be too much for Lamar Jackson to overcome in this intriguing primetime affair.

Final Score: Tigers 37 Cardinals 27 Spread: Clemson -3.0

10. Texas Longhorns vs. USC Trojans (4)

With both teams bouncing back to have stellar performances in week 2, the Longhorns and the Trojans will look to keep the good times rolling when they meet in Los Angeles on Saturday. However, unless the Longhorns can figure out their defensive woes, the Trojans will easily steam roll their way to decisive victory on the backs of running back of Ronald Jones II and quarterback Sam Darnold.

Final Score: Trojans 54 Longhorns 30 Spread: USC -15.5

The National is an American indie rock band from Cincinnati, Ohio. Members include Matt Berninger (vocals), Aaron Dessner (guitar, keyboards), Bryce Dessner (guitar), Scott Devendorf (bass), and Bryan Devendorf (drums). The National released their self-titled debut album, The National (2001), on Brassland Records, an independent record label founded by Dessner and his twin brother, Bryce Dessner.

The ensemble signed with Beggars Banquet Records and released their third studio album, Alligator (2005), to widespread critical acclaim. The band’s fourth and fifth studio albums, Boxer (2007) and High Violet (2010), increased their exposure significantly. In 2013, the band released its sixth studio album, Trouble Will Find Me, which was nominated for Best Alternative Music Album at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards. In 2017 the band released the album Sleep Well Beast.

In addition, four of the band’s albums were included on NME’s 2013 list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.

When I first glanced at the cover art, the first image that surfaced in my mind was film noir. The blend of colors includes gray, jet black, and white hues. Compared to many past albums that were released this year, the object and theme are fairly practical and simple. There is an iconic American barn-like house in the middle of nowhere. However, I can see some human figures through the rectangular window. The title of the album is unique, something that would be written in a fairytale.

“Nobody Else Will Be There,” the first selection of the track, is dark, gloomy, and dreamy. I fell asleep while listening to the head vocal’s raspy and ruffian-like vocals; however, I enjoyed the strong presence of the keyboard accompanying the lyrics. More so, the repetitive statement of “Nobody Else Will Be There” engraves a message that is relatable to almost everyone. There are times people feel alone, in solitude. “Born to Beg” starts out with a metronome background beat and a contagious major melody line on the keyboard. The vocals are more nostalgic, strong, yet grave. “I’ll Still Destroy You” offers a more electronic beat. The incorporation of percussion instruments that mimic the sound of an alarm clock creates a consistent base line. However, after the verses were sung in the beginning, the peak of the song, during the chorus section, escalates with a more vibrant melody and aura. Overall, the album is definitely a collection of distinct blends of color, feeling, sound, and meaning.

Terror yet again struck London this morning as an IED exploded at the Parsons Green tube station, leaving 22 injured.

There were no fatalities, many of the injured were being treated for burns.

While incidents like this may be humanity at its darkest, it’s in the aftermath that we show our true colors, such as this regular civilian — who assumedly owns a pizza shop — handing out food and water to the police on scene.

Fantasy football has been a part of American sports for years. Year after year NFL fans gathers together to see who is the best imaginary general manager. One huge portion of any fantasy football team is the quarterback’s play on the field. This makes it extremely difficult to pick which one will play the best for your team. Fantasy Football is a game revolving around statistics. It is difficult to draft based on who will play well during the season versus their individual skill level. For example, in order for a quarterback to post fantasy points, they need to make plays for their team. The only way a quarterback can make plays for his team are by throwing the ball to a receiver or use the blocking of the offensive line and run. The production of the quarterback is reliant on his skill as well as the skill level of his teammates. Durability also is a major factor. That’s why Andrew Luck is not on this list, unfortunately. Who should you pick for your starting quarterback?

10. Philip Rivers

Team: San Diego Chargers

Philip Rivers is still one of the most dynamic quarterbacks in the league. Last year, he scored 33 touchdowns for the season while starting in 16 games. Rivers also averaged the 7th most fantasy points last year with 32.4. However, he does have his cons. The biggest one is Rivers’ age and questioning how long he can sustain decent play. At the same time, if it is late in the draft and you are in need of a quarterback, Philip Rivers is a viable choice.

9. Dak Prescott

Team: Dallas Cowboys

I don’t think you understand. I have very high hopes for the Dallas Cowboys, in general, this year. Last year their star running back (Ezekiel Eliot) and quarterback (Dak Prescott) had a record-breaking season. Plus, they were both in their rookie season. Dak Prescott now will have NFL experience under his belt and is ready to showcase his “true” talent. Last year, Prescott averaged 31.4 fantasy points per game, 12th highest in the league. The only downside to drafting Dak Prescott is having Ezekiel Eliot on the team. In red zone plays, the Cowboys would consider running the football as oppose to throwing. With having the zippy running back that is Ezekiel Elliot on the team, Prescott will lose opportunities to score touchdowns himself and score fantasy points. This may undermine his fantasy numbers. At the same time, he is a great pick if you find yourself in the late draft without a quarterback.

8. Eli Manning

Team: New York Giants

Another team I (skeptically) have a legit amount of hope for are the New York Giants, especially on the offensive end. With the tag team of Brandon Marshall and Odell Beckham Jr, Eli Manning will have targets throughout the entire game. The reason I am reluctant to declare him a top 10 fantasy football quarterback is for one simple reason, we never know what we will get from Eli Manning. Eli Manning playing well is amazing. Eli Manning playing bad is embarrassing to watch. However, he is very durable. Eli Manning has played in 199 consecutive games. Last year, Manning was 18th in the league in fantasy points per game with 29.1. The main question is how will he play? Will he be the great Eli Manning or the terrible Eli Manning?

7. Andy Dalton

Team: Cincinnati Bengals

Andy Dalton had a great season last year. Averaging 31.7 fantasy points per game, he hopes to play even better this upcoming season. With A.J. Green still on the team, Dalton is given a reliable target to hit in games. He scored 18 touchdowns last year and had a QBR rating of a 91.8. Not only does he score, he is also very efficient and only had 8 interceptions. I see Dalton being a quarterback that would be good for a person who likes to draft that position later.

6. Derek Carr

Team: Oakland Raiders

I owe Derek Carr a huge apology. His first and second years, I doubted him while the Oakland Raiders were struggling. He has made me eat my words last year. Not only did he propel his team to the playoffs, he did it in a statistical onslaught. For the 15 games he started, he scored 28 touchdowns and won 12 games. Unfortunately, due to an injury, he was unable to play the last game of the season and for the entirety of the postseason. Carr was 10th in the league in fantasy points with 31.5 per game. Carr is a mid-round quarterback; however, may be slept on and left for the later rounds. If so, grab him!

5. Russell Wilson

Team: Seattle Seahawks

Russell Wilson has been a little sporadic over the years. Certain moments during the season last year, it was clear that he was struggling. However, when he is on fire, he is unstoppable. Wilson was 8th in the league in fantasy points per game with 32.3. However, I feel this year he will be even better. If running yards for quarterbacks are extra points, Russell Wilson is a great choice. Outside of Andrew Luck (who is injury prone), Russell Wilson is the best quarterback on their feet. With Marshawn Lynch moving to the Oakland Raiders, Wilson will have more running opportunities in the red zone. Rushing touchdowns sound good for your team? If so, he may be your targeted quarterback this year. Look for him to have a great season.

Team: Atlanta Falcons

Matty Ice! Even though he completely crumbled in the Super Bowl against the Patriots, fantasy football doesn’t care. What matters is the regular season, and last year Ryan was sensational. Matt Ryan was second in the league in fantasy points per game with 40.3. In 16 games, Matt Ryan had 38 touchdowns. That is absolutely absurd for the 9 year veteran. However, I don’t see anything slowing Matty Ice down. One slight obstacle is the difficult schedule the Atlanta Falcons were handed this year. At the same time, I do believe with Dan Quinn as the Head Coach and Steve Sarkisian as offensive coordinator, Matt Ryan will have another spectacular year.

3. Drew Brees

Team: New Orleans Saints

Drew Brees made this list as a safety pick. But there is a huge asterisk on Brees’ name. It is hard to predict how well he will do. One thing about Drew Brees is he will score touchdowns. Last year in 16 games, he scored 37 touchdowns. This is the reason why Brees lead the league in fantasy points with 40.5 per game. However, I am unsure about how he will be this year. I do believe he will score touchdowns in bunches because, its Drew Brees. However, I am concerned about fumbles and interceptions. Rarely is he consistent taking care of the ball. Last year he had 15 interceptions for the season. While I do believe Brees is a great quarterback for your team, there are 2 options I would rather have.

2. Tom Brady

Team: New England Patriots

This hurts me to say as a New York Giants fan but, the New England Patriots look great! Not because they added superstar talent, but for the simple fact that Tom Brady and Bill Belicheck won the Super Bowl last year without their top target, Rob Gronkowski. But now, they have their star tight end. Even though Julian Edlemen went down with a season-ending injury (ACL), I have 0 disbelief in the Patriots. Year in and year out they find ways to adjust to injury. Tom Brady was 17th in the league in fantasy points with 29.4. This year I think that will sky rocket with Gronkowski on the team. I wouldn’t take Tom Brady in a fantasy draft because as a Giants fan, I would never want to root for Brady. However, he is still a pick that you should consider.

1. Aaron Rodgers

Team: Green Bay Packers

As Stephen A. Smith says. “He’s a Ba-aaad Man!” And indeed he is. When the Green Bay Packers were struggling in the beginning of the season last year, Aaron Rodgers remained calms and stated “We can sweep the table.” They almost did when they feel short to the Atlanta Falcons. Aaron was 3rd in the league in fantasy points with 40.1 per game. This man in a throwing machine. With Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson on the team, they look to be dynamic and learn from their mistakes last year. I don’t know about the sports world, but I have a feeling Aaron will have a break/record-breaking season. Its a gut feeling, but a strong one.

St. Louis police officer Jason Stockley was let off the hook in the 2011 shooting death of a motorist. Last year, Stockley finally picked up charges of first degree murder and armed criminal action in the death of 24-year-old Anthony Lamar Smith. The officer plead not guilty to the crimes and decided to wave his right to a jury trial, giving full discretion to Judge Timothy Wilson to decide the outcome.

On Friday, the judge took the side of the former officer who resigned in 2013. The prosecution, on the other hand, contended that Stockley committed a premeditated murder and planned to kill Smith, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.

What Happened?

The death followed a nearly three-mile car cash as Jason Stockley and his partner Brian Bianchi pursued Anthony Lamar Smith in their police cruiser at speeds close to 90 mph. At one point, Stockley is heard shouting “going to kill this motherf*cker” in clips obtained by the St. Louis-Post Dispatch.

The officer charged with murder didn’t deny saying these words during trial. However, he claims that he didn’t recall saying it. Wilson wrote the statement “was not intelligible” and that its “context is not clear.”

The car cash came to a close when Stockley order his partner to ram his police cruiser into Smith’s SUV. Bianchi reportedly informed Stockley that it appeared as if Smith was reaching for a weapon. Stockley emerged from the police cruiser with with a department-issued pistol and an AK-47 rifle — which the department has not permitted him to carry.

Anthony Lamar Smith reportedly sped off, knocking Stockley sideways prompting him to fire several shots into the vehicle, striking Smith five times. The officer returned to the police cruiser to locate a first aid kit, but by then Smith was already deceased.

Stockley went in-and-out Smith’s car at least four times while 10 officer stood by, according to testifying officers. One officers says that he felt strange about what Stockley was doing in the vehicle, Fox 2 reported.. The officer once charged with murder claimed that he entered the vehicle to “locate the weapon and render it safe” and remove the bullets from the silver revolver according to the police report. However, forensics analysis only found Stockley’s DNA on the revolver.

Closing arguments by the prosecution asserted the idea that Stockley obviously planted the weapon in the vehicle of the deceased Smith. Stockley argues that the shooting occurred in self-defense as he claims a struggle ensued resulting in the death of Anthony Lamar Smith.

Smith was the father of a young daughter, as seen in the gallery.

In 2013, the city settled a civil court case with Smith’s loved ones, awarding his fiancée and daughter a total of  $900,000.

Backlash

St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner told KMOV she was disappointed by the judge’s decision and believed that Smith’s death was a premeditated murder..”While officer-involved shooting cases are extremely difficult to prevail in court, I believe we offered sufficient evident that proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Jason Stockley intended to kill Mr. Smith.”

“I understand and appreciate the many challenges that face our city’s police officers. It’s very noble work,” Gardner added. “However, however we need further examination and clarity in the laws that govern the use of deadly force by police officers.”

St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson made a statement following the verdict, saying that she was “appalled at what happened to” Smith and that she was “sobered by this outcome.”

The mayor also offered her prayers to those “who find no comfort or justice” in the shooting death of Anthony Lamar Smith.

“Frustration, anger, hurt, pain, hope and love all intermingle,” she said in statement. “I encourage St. Louisans to show each other compassion, to recognize that we all have different experiences and background and that we all come to this with real feeling and experiences. We are all St. Louisans. We rise and fall together.”

Protesters responded by burning a St. Louis Cardinals jersey in the street while reportedly chanting and shouting, “if we can’t get no justice y’all can’t get no peace.”

St. Louis interim police chief Lawrence O’Toole addressed the public, urging those angered by Friday’s court decision to protest peacefully. O’Toole vows to protect free speech, but also the safety of the public.

On Thursday, Gov. Eric Greitens took steps to summon to Missouri National Guard while police officers in the area were put on 12 hour shifts. Activists, with support from the city’s black clergy, allegedly planned disruptive protests before Friday’s verdict. As a result of the expected turmoil in the area, classes have been cancelled and a police barricades have been out n place.

A self-contained episode, “Pickle Rick” sees Rick Sanchez turn himself into a pickle for the specific purpose of avoiding a family counseling meeting. However, a series of unfortunate events leaves Rick in dire circumstances, forcing him to rely on his sheer scientific knowledge. And according to co-creator Dan Harmon, it was inspired by an episode of Breaking Bad.

It’s more than a bottle episode, it’s specifically a bottle episode of Breaking Bad where we get to see Walter White up against primal forces instead of watching him negotiate and bluff with street dealers and kingpins and using his access to cool chemicals and any equipment he wants to make any bombs and crystal meth and stuff. It was interesting to watch him trapped in a hot van, about to die, and having to fall back on his basic science knowledge to keep them alive, while also seeing what he was like under extreme stress in the hot desert heat. That was a big inspiration.”

The episode Harmon is referring to is “4 Days Out”, the ninth episode of the second season that finds Jesse and Walt trapped in the desert when the battery to their RV dies.

Andrea Flores, a 73-year-old Texas woman, was arrested Wednesday after law enforcement officials walked in on her weighing and packaging cocaine while conducting a drug raid.

Flores, 73, was charged with two counts of manufacturing and delivering a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.

The 73-year-old drug dealer was detained while Jim Wells Country Sheriff’s officers were serving a narcotics warrant at her home in Alice, Texas.

Deputies executed a narcotic warrant at the residence of Andrea Flores on the 1700 block of Carmen Street. To the surprise of deputies and investigators Flores was in her bedroom watching television as she packaged the narcotics.

“She was actually caught in processing and packaging the items,” said JWC Sheriff Daniel Bueno. “This goes to show that when it comes to a criminal element anyone can be called a suspect.”

Agents searched Flores’ residence and seized 40 grams of synthetic marijuana, approximately eight grams of cocaine, approximately 100 pills in a pillbox-like container, and drug paraphernalia. According to sheriff officials, Flores was arrested in the 1990s for narcotics.

Flores was taken to county jail and charged with two counts of manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance.

On Friday, September 15, Flores’ name was absent from the list of current inmates at the Jim Wells County jail.

Welcome back to another epic edition of Esports gaming news! Artificial intelligence is getting so intelligent that it’s being to compete against humans in tournaments. Meanwhile, the Overwatch League has just expanded. Blizzard just nabbed two more $20,000,000 spots for the league, with those spots going to Houston and Philadelphia respectively, increasingly the number of teams in the Overwatch League to 13.

Blizzard Is Getting Bigger, Baby

Yup, you heard it right. Blizzard Entertainment has picked up two big-time, big-money spots for their Overwatch League in Houston and Philadelphia. In Houston, gaming rights went to OpTic Gaming, which includes an investment with Texas Rangers co-owner Neal Leibman. While in Philly, Comcast Spectator has finalized their purchase, bringing the total of Overwatch teams in the league to 13. Comcast Spectator employs the Philadelphia Rangers as well as the sports branch of cable corporation Comcast, and now they have a spot in the crazy world of Esports.

However, the Overwatch League needs a total of 14 teams to start off season one of the series. This means Blizzard only needs to secure one more team to get the ball officially rolling. Once that’s settled, fans can expect to watch the Overwatch League series live from the new and massive Esports arena in Burbank, California.

Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) In Competitive Gaming

A.I. in video games is on the rise. Last month, at the Dota 2 International, OpenAI (a computer system) played and beat professional Dota 2 players. Traditionally, active gamers are known to be better than A.I. in video games, but now it appears as if computers are able to compete with flesh-and-blood gamers. Where have I seen this before? Oh, right…

Meanwhile, Heroes of the Storm appear to be the next game in line to step up their A.I. technology. They’re developing an improved artificial intelligence system with faster reaction time and better tactics. Instead of the A.I. running on several scripts, Blizzard will be using the game’s engine itself for the A.I.’s decision-making.

This smarter A.I. system may help noobs transition to competitive games online with other humans. But who knows…the machines just might take over!

A Maryland mother has been charged with double homicide for two of her own children who went missing three years ago. On Friday afternoon, the mother Catherine Hoggle appeared in court, where a judge ordered that she be held without bond and sent for further psychological evaluation. On Thursday night, Hoggle was indited for the alleged murder of her two children.

Hoggle didn’t appear in court in-person. But she did appear via closed-circuit TV to respond to her double murder indictment. She was sent back to Perkins Hospital in Jessup, Maryland. The judge ordered that the defendant be held without bail and be sent for further psychological evaluation despite the defense arguing that Hoggle had already been psychologically evaluated.

Catherine Hoggle’s two children disappeared on September 14, 2014. She had a two-year son named Jacob and a four-year daughter named Sarah. Hoggle is reportedly the last person to see her children alive.

The suspect has been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and has reportedly refuses to disclose the location of her two children. Doctors had previously ruled that she was incompetent to stand trial.

On Thursday, she was moved from a mental hospital to a jail cell, directly as a result of the indictment against her. However, the judge has shipped her back to the same hospital for further psychological evaluation.

David Felsen, the attorney of Catherine Hoggle, told FOX 5 on Thursday night that he had not been aware of new charges against his client, but was curious to see the outcome of Friday’s hearing.

Hoggle’s mother, Lauren DeMarco told FOX 5 on Friday Night that she also was not aware of her daughter’s pending murder charges. However, she was not surprised.

DeMarco said, “They had to charge her with something.”

Harry Potter is just one of those things that most millennials will always love. Harry Potter, American Pie, Spongebob — all those.

No matter how old we get, we will always turn on a Harry Potter movie when its airing on ABC Family.

Now, while I was far from a perfect college student (actually, far from a good one), I think that has less to do with my work ethic and more to do with my lack of Harry Potter-related classes. If I had more teachers like this one, who fuses Harry Potter lore with Aristotle, I would have probably had a 4.0 (doubtful).

St. Cloud State University professor Carolyn Hartz is applying for Aristotle’s work on friendship to character relationships in J.K. Rowling’s books about the boy wizard, the St. Cloud Times reported. The class discusses ethics, logic, love, the human soul and nature while examining the stories.

“These are fundamental human concerns,” Hartz said. “Philosophy is, in my view, critical thinking about fundamental areas of human concern.”

“This class really solidified how much I love thinking about hard problems and questions with hard answers,” said one student.

Even cooler yet, Hartz has considered teaching philosophy through other pieces of pop culture, such as video games or the HBO series Game Of Thrones.

A police standoff in West Windsor, Michigan, ended with one person dead. Authorities say that the standoff is related to a shooting in Amherstburg that left a 31-year-old man in a Detroit hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Just before noon on Friday, Windsor police surround a home on Betts Ave, just off Tecumseh Road. When officers enter the house, they discovered a dead man inside.

Neighbour Gerry Lemire shares his perspective on the police standoff. He said, “We were just sitting watching TV and all of sudden, all these vehicles started coming around so we just come out and started watching what is going on.”

Travis Reitsma is a resident in the area and said that cops just wanted to speak to the man inside the house. Reitsma said, “Cops every once in a while will put their sirens on and talk to the person inside and they say his name and tell him he is wanted for attempted murder and encourage him to come out with his hands up.”

After two weeks of college football, there is a weeknight contest between two extremely unequal teams. The South Florida Bulls are currently undefeated after defeating both San Jose State and Stony Brook while Illinois defeated both Ball State and Western Kentucky. However, where these teams differ is preseason expectations. South Florida started the season as a top 25 team while Illinois was projected to finish in the bottom of the Big Ten. Both teams will look to capitalize on their early success and maintain their winning ways.

Prior to this season, Illinois was expected to be one of the worst teams in the FBS. However, their initial success has turned some heads and some people believe that Illinois can potentially be decent by years end. The basis of Illinois’ success has been its defense. In two games, the Illini have only given up a total of 28 points. Illinois has had five sacks thus far this season and will need to generate the same amount of pressure if it hopes to pull off the upset.

The Illini offense is led by junior quarterback Chayce Crouch. Crouch has struggled this season and has thrown only one touchdown along with two interceptions. However, the running game has been the catalyst for this offense and the team has averaged over 120 yards per game on the ground this season. If Illinois looks to upset South Florida, Crouch will need to excel and successfully stretch the field in order to create extra holes for the running game.

South Florida’s season had been chaotic, to say the least. USF started the season as 24 point favorites against San Jose State. However, USF started the game down 16 points after the first quarter and had to rally in order to win. In the second game, USF was a 35 point favorite against Stony Brook and only won by 14. The third game for South Florida was supposed to be against UCONN but the game got canceled due to poor weather. This season has been especially nerve-racking for the Bulls due to the various hurricanes that Florida is dealing with. USF players had to deal with both Hurricane Irma and now have to deal with Hurricane Jose. These storms can be quite a distraction for the roster and I am sure that all of the USF players cannot wait for this ordeal to end.

The success of USF starts and ends with quarterback Quinton Flowers. The senior quarterback was sensational last year. He led the Bulls to an 11-2 record with over 4300 total yards and 42 touchdowns. This season, Flowers has picked up where he left off and currently has five total touchdowns with only one interception. Flowers is arguably the fastest quarterback in college football and his ability to generate huge plays with his legs could pose serious issues for Illinois. One area that the Bulls have to improve on is its wide receiver production. Currently, Marquez Valdes-Scantling leads the team with 10 receptions through two games with the next highest total is five. Other receivers are going to need to step up if USF hopes to remain undefeated moving forward.

As for my prediction, I have to side with the Bulls. Illinois has looked impressive so far but South Florida’s offense is something that this Illini unit has never seen before. I expect Flowers to throw and run for several touchdowns as South Florida puts this game away early.

I see South Florida winning this game by about two touchdowns or so before resting Flowers for the last half of the fourth quarter.
