The release of FIFA 18 is right around the corner and while soccer fans are salivating for the September 29th release date, EA Sports has been building hype around the game by revealing the top players in the game. Today, the company has revealed the Top 10 players with the highest player ranking.

While numbers 100 through 11 have been revealed in the past weeks, today EA Sports has announced who FIFA gamers think is their top soccer players.

Here are the Top 10 FIFA 18 Player Rankings:

10. Gonzalo Higuain

EA Sports

Juventus’ Gonzalo Higuain starts off the top ten as this foward boasts impressive 87 Shooting and 83 Dribbling ratings.

9. Toni Kroos

EA Sports

The first on many Real Madrid players on this list, Toni Kroos is one of the best passers in the game. With a passing rating of 88 and a rating of 81 in both shooting and dribbling make him one of the versatile players in the game.

8. Eden Hazard

EA Sports

Chelsea’s own Eden Hazard shows up to boast an impressive rating of 90 in Pace and 92 in dribbling proving to be a worthy player.

7. Sergio Ramos

EA Sports

Real Madrid’s famous center back, Sergio Ramos, comes to the game boasting an impressive physical rating of 83 and a defensive rating of 88.

6. Robert Lewandowski

EA Sports

Bayern Munchen’s striker, Robert Lewandowski, takes the number six spot with impressive ratings of 88 Shooting, 86 Dribbling, 81 Pace, and 82 Physical makes him an all around great player.

5. Manuel Neuer

Manuel Neuer starts the Top Five featuring the ratings of 91 Diving, 90 Handling, and 95 Kicking; there is a reason he is the world’s best goalkeeper!

4. Luis Suarez

FC Barcelona’s famous striker, Luis Suarez, shows up to the field with stellar ratings like: 90 Shooting, 82 Pace, 86, Dribbling, and 81 Physical.

3. Neymar

An estranged husband is the suspected gunman who shot and killed a Texas woman (his soon to be ex-wife), and seven of her friends Sunday night. Police responded by shooting the gunman dead at the scene of the rampage. Spencer Hight, 32, is accused of killing Meredith Lane Hight and seven unidentified victims at Lane’s home on on West Spring Creek Parkway in Plano, Texas. One victim survived the shooting spree.

At the time, Spencer and Meredith were going through a divorce, according to court records. The estranged pair both owned the house. However, Spencer had not been living there since March, according to the Dallas Morning News. Meredith’s mother, Debbie Lane, told the newspaper that her daughter hosted an NFL viewing party to watch her favorite team, the Atlanta Falcons, play Sunday afternoon. The party would extend into the evening to watch a Dallas Cowboys game.

According to KXAS-TV, the shooting occurred on the 1700 block of West Spring Creek Parkway, near Custer Road, at about 8 P.M. on Sunday.

What Happened Between Spencer and Meredith?

On July 17, Meredith Lane Spencer filed for divorce against her husband, according to Collin County court records. At the moment, the case is still pending in the 470th District Court, but will likely be closed as the 27-year-old was allegedly shot dead by her estranged husband. Logan Odeneal was to act as Lane’s attorney, while Spencer acted as his own attorney.

According to the Dallas Morning News, Meredith Hight cited “discord or conflict of personalities” in her divorce filing. The estranged couple didn’t have any children together.

By March 2017, Spencer had moved out. And by May, Meredith was already looking for a roommate to live with her. According to her social media posts, she worked both as a model and for an independent sales company. She was also looking for someone to help with her expenses, so she put up an ad to rent a room in her house.

“Who needs a place to live? (3bd/2ba house w yard and garage) I’m needing some help with the bills starting anywhere from 2 weeks from now to a month or so, but need a roommate by July,” she wrote. “Some things to remember: 2 large pitbulls live here, and they only do well with other large dogs. I would need our animals to meet before committing to any agreement. No kids (sorry not sorry, I love your kids but they would not love it here). I intend to fix this place up and rent or sell down the line so lease terms would be short term to six months at a time.”

It’s not clear whether or not that roommate was present during the time of the shooting.

Spencer and Meredith got married back in 2011. Their relationship ended in violence.

More About Spencer Hight

Only hours before the shooting, Spencer went on Facebook to give advice to people regarding Hurricane Irma. Spencer wrote, “How best to weather a hurricane: Don’t live near the coast.”

Spencer also had a page on on Deviant Art, but hasn’t used his account in several years. He has his own YouTube channel, where he posted videos of his dog, and another video of himself playing the game Hurtworld.

Recently, Spencer took to Facebook to complain of back pain.

“Lack of sleep due to chronic back pain made for a pretty shitty holiday weekend. Here’s hoping the doctor can sort me out,” he wrote on September 5.

On August 1 he wrote, “Aaaand my back is f*cked…this pain med/muscle relaxer garbage the doctor put me on makes me a damn zombie. Don’t try to move heavy furniture without help people.”

In June, Hight claimed to have been cast in an acting role for a new Netflix film. He said that he was cast for new Coen brothers Western TV series, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. The film is set to debut in 2018, and it’s not clear whether or not he was filmed for the role.

“It’s official. I have been cast in the Coen brothers new western tv series and we start filming July 25th. Not sure if more excited or nervous,” he wrote, later adding, “I knew I was on board weeks ago but I just got the actual dates for filming and sent in my measurements for wardrobe. … I think it’s a small part but all I know is there’s a saloon scene and another unspecified scene they want me for. It’s in new mexico.”

“Well. Someone is bitter lol ,” a friend replied.

Earlier that month, he complained on Facebook about having to pay more for car insurance. “And the hits just keep on coming. This has been my toughest year to date,” he wrote. “Because of all the hail damage claims in the area they jacked my insurance up by over 30% even though I haven’t submitted a claim. Christ I hate this sh*t”

In April, Spencer took to Facebook to vent about his ex-wife leaving him “stranded at the airport.” He wrote, “Wonderful ex wife left me stranded at the airport after swearing all week she would pick me up…And now she’s ignoring my calls. Typical. Welcome back to Dallas.”

When friends were surprised to hear the reference “ex-wife,” Spencer responded by stating that, “Things have gone completely tits up over the last few months.”

That month, he posted a status on Facebook, possibly referencing his ex-wife who has red hair. Very easy to believe gingers are completely soulless now.

In February, High shared a story about a domestic violence case because “Sharing this because apparently the family of this scumbag is actually threatening people on fb who post this.”

The Minnesota Vikings, a playoff team two seasons ago, host Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints in the first Monday Night Football game of the year. As for the Vikings, after starting 2016 at 5-0, they finished the season with 3-8 record, falling out of playoff position. Still led by quarterback Sam Bradford, who was brought in to replace an injured Teddy Bridgewater, the Vikings enter the 2017 season looking to ride their elite defense into the playoffs.

Drew Brees and the Saints are a far different team on the road than they are in New Orleans, so we expect the Vikings to ride their defensive line to a low-scoring victory.

A jaw-dropping photo surfaced on Instagram, showing Tampa International Airport completely submerged with partial portions of airplanes sticking out of the water. However, people in the area are now saying that this picture as an example of “fake news.” According to the TPA’s official Twitter account, the airport is not underwater and is expected to open its doors to the public this week. Tampa did experience some flooding on Monday. However, they didn’t receive flooding high enough to engulf entire airplanes.

Obviously no flights are scheduled for today. However, TPA says that flights will most likely resume Tuesday or Wednesday…

The airport saw minimal damage from the storm. TPA experienced sustained winds of 52 mph, with a peak gust of 66 mph.

Tampa was spared from much of Irma’s carnage. The storm first moved into the city as a Category 2 hurricane. However, Irma’s eye traveled further east than the National Hurricane Center had predicted. Polk County was at the center of the storm, and it’s largest city known as Lakeland received massive amounts of wind and rain.

Meanwhile, Hillsborough County endured sustained winds ranging from 50 to 60 mph, with gusts reaching 70 mph. This resulted in trees and power lines collapsing, with many people losing electricity. Although, this county now sees sunny skies after the hurricane passed over the land.

Numerous flights heading into Tampa have been grounded, essentially leaving many passengers stranded. The Tampa International Airport is expected to be reopened until Tuesday or Wednesday. If you’re planning on using TPA’s services this week, you’re encouraged to check the status of the flight with your airline. This also goes to people whose flights were cancelled as a result of Hurricane Irma. As a direct result of the storm, flights are expected to be rescheduled this week.

“Irma weakened Monday morning from hurricane to a tropical storm as it moved about 100 miles north of Tampa, according to the National Hurricane Center, which said it was still producing some wind gusts near hurricane force,” reports the Washington Post.

However, this doesn’t mean that Tampa wasn’t badly affected by the storm. Several areas were reportedly hit by high wind gusts and heavy rain for several hours. The areas which received the most destruction as a result of Irma are Davis Island and South Tampa. Much of the damage consisted of downed trees, while other damage includes the flooding of homes resulting from storm surges. Roughly 1.4 million people in the Tampa area were left without power, but that issue is already being worked upon by crews attempting to restore the power as soon as possible.

Irma hit Polk County, Orlando, Marco Island, and Miami very hard. The storm is still bringing down heavy rain towards northern Florida on Monday. Areas positioned to the east of the eye got the brunt of Irma’s wrath.

Phillip Rivers and the Chargers play their first game as a Los Angeles franchise as they head to Denver to take on the Broncos.

The Chargers and Broncos both missed the playoffs a season ago, finishing at the bottom half of the AFC West. The Chargers stumbled to finish in last with a 5-11 record, while the Broncos finished in 3rd at 9-7. The Chargers are hoping to return to the playoffs for the first time since 2013, while the Broncos are trying to make it back to the postseason for the first time since they won the Super Bowl over the Panthers.

Led by quarterback Trevor Siemian for the second straight the season, the Broncos hope to ride their elite defense back to the postseason, while the Chargers are hoping that a revamped offensive line and improving defense can return them to playoff contention.

Video has emerged of University of California-Berkeley police officer Sean Aranas taking money from a hot dog vendor’s wallet because he was operating without a permit.

The footage, posted to Twitter by Martin Flores, showed Officer Sean Aranas removing the money from the vendor’s wallet and folding it. The vendor, identified only as Juan, also received a citation.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Flores was buying a hot dog from the vendor cart for his kids after a football game when the officers approached. Aranas then allegedly asked for Juan’s identification. Officer Aranas then removed Juan’s wallet from his hand and took his money out. Police said that the vendor’s money was seized as “evidence”.

Los Angeles resident, and UC Berkeley alumnus, Martin Flores posted the video online just before 5:40 p.m. Saturday. He attended the football game that day with his children, according to his posts online. In the video, Flores questions University of California Police Officer Sean Aranas about why he has to take the hot dog vendor’s money. Flores was buying hot dogs from the vendor when police interrupted the transaction, he wrote.

The original video had, as of Monday morning, been viewed 11 million times — and attracted significant attention and comments online. Flores sought out the vendor, who has publicly been identified only as “Juan,” as interest in the story grew along with pledges of support. Flores posted on Facebook shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday that he had found “Juan,” and said they were preparing to be interviewed by Telemundo in San Francisco.

According to online records from UCPD, the vendor was ticketed at Piedmont Avenue and Bancroft Way, across from Memorial Stadium where the football game took place, just after 5:30 p.m. Saturday. The 34-year-old man got a ticket related to vending without a license, which is a violation of the Berkeley Municipal Code. It was the only such citation for the day, which was the first home game of the season. UCPD spokeswoman Sgt. Sabrina Reich said Monday that the $60 was “seized as suspected proceeds of the violation and booked into evidence.” Reich said three other people were detained on suspicion of vending without a license, but they were released with a warning.

While Aranas, was acting on orders from a supervisor to issue a citation, it’s unclear whether that order included seizing the cash.

UC Berkely police tweeted that they were aware of the incident and were investigating:

A GoFundMe created for Juan the hot dog vendor shattered its goal of $10,000, raising over $50,000 in less than two days. The money raised will go to cover Juan’s legal expenses and personal losses.

This event is the first of its kind to happen at Apple’s new campus, Apple Park, at the (beautifully named) Steve Jobs Theater. It’s hard to think of Apple keynotes without Steve Jobs so we’re glad to see his spirit live on in Apple’s keynotes! The theater itself has been generating a lot of hype itself as an artist’s rendering of the theater has received massive fan love online.

The conclusion of an intense opening week of football always brings about either exciting revelations or devastating discoveries depending on your rooting interests. In fantasy football, the end of every week allows dedicated owners to do their due diligence in order to ensure their respective rosters are up to snuff. While drafting a star studded line up is great, injuries and down years inevitably render once exciting talents either obsolete or inefficient when it comes to scoring coveted fantasy points. Even if your team is completely healthy and productive, it never hurts to consult the waiver wire to at least keep an eye on up and coming players that no one on your team knows about.

This week, hardly any unknown potential assets excelled more than second string running back Tarik Cohen. While Cohen went mostly undiscovered by fantasy owners because of his place on the depth chart behind top-tier running back Jordan Howard, his coming out party against the Atlanta Falcons in week one showed us a seriously underrated and versatile running back that could become a coveted asset in the coming weeks.

While Cohen had a solid day in terms of rushing yards (five rush attempts, 66 rushing yards, 13.2 yards per rush attempt), his impressive production in this regard came as mainly the result of a 46-yard rush in the second quarter. Even this notable scamper was the result of Cohen utilizing his diminutive size (5’6″, 179 pounds) and incredible speed to break away from defenders while running swiftly down the sideline (all rushing yards were accrued running wither wide left or wide right).

However, the notable facet of Cohen’s dynamic skill set that could make him an intriguing fantasy weapon are his pass catching capabilities. Unlike his limited running abilities, Cohen was much more dynamic as a receiver in every play direction except his immediate left and made a consistent impact on 1st down between 8-10 yards from the first down marker (6.7 yards per reception and one touchdown). The latter statistic is particularly notable as shaky quarterback Mike Glennon could come to rely on Cohen to lend an initial spark to start a drive while utilizing him to make big plays as the Bears move closer to the red zone.

While Cohen’s rushing numbers may regress somewhat in the coming weeks, his pass catching abilities will earn him ample playing time as the season progresses. Considering his reliability as a pass catching back on 1st down and in the red zone, I expect Cohen to become a check-down favorite for Glennon, particularly when a set play breaks down. The fact that Howard narrowly out touched Cohen 16-13 should tell you all you need to know about Cohen’s potential production going forward.

Aside from quarterbacks, the wide receiver position is arguably the most sought after in terms of big-play ability. In fantasy, this notion varies widely depending on what kind of league you are playing in, but generally speaking reliable receivers offer immense value regardless. While there are plenty of well-known star studded pass catchers in the league, there are several neglected receivers that displayed moments of being worthy fantasy waiver wire pick ups.

In particular, rookie wide receiver Cooper Kupp distinguished himself from a fairly lackluster pack in the Rams dominating victory over the Indianapolis Colts. Despite hauling in just four receptions, Kupp made the most of his select opportunities as he went off for 76 receiving yards and one touchdown (19 yards per reception). The latter overall numbers become even more intriguing when we break down the positioning of where Kupp was on the field.

His receiving yards distribution was almost evenly split between wide left (28 yards), wide right (24 yards) and middle (18 yards and one touchdown) play directions. While these numbers are fantastic to behold for a rookie receiver, Kupp’s ability to spread out a opposing defense takes quite a bit of pressure off of quarterback Jared Goff. Rather than simply stacking the box and overwhelming Goff with an aggressive pass rush, defenses now have to keep an eye on a big-play wideout that can line up nearly anywhere on the field. In fantasy terms, this means that Kupp will get an increasing share of targets as his reliability continues to improve.

Still, for every enticing attribute Kupp brings to the table, he is still limited by a Rams offense that is trying to find it’s legs. While head coach Sean McVey has been heralded as a offensive guru, the Rams week one match up against a Colts team that was without quarterback Andrew Luck while having a bad defense to begin with is hardly a strong indicator that the Rams have turned things around offensively. Yes, Goff made some impressive throws, but in order for any Rams receiver to be a reliable fantasy acquisition, Goff has to prove that he can string together several solid performances.

Still, it’s hard to ignore Kupp’s statistical output, particularly in third down situations (52 yards and one touchdown on third down and three to seven yards from the first down marker). If Sean McVey can continue to put Jared Goff in favorable situations, Kupp’s value could increase dramatically within the next couple of weeks.

ESPN reporter Julie Stewart-Binks has been hired as Barstool Sports first full-time female talent.

Stewart-Binks, born April 30, 1987, is a Canadian television anchor and sports reporter for ESPN and Fox Sports West before joining Barstool Sports.

Born in Toronto, Stewart-Binks attended Havergal College and graduated from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario with a couple of undergraduate degrees. She also graduated from City University in London where she received her master’s degree in international broadcast journalism.

In 2010, Stewart-Binks was hired as a program assistant at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and as a reporter for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Then in 2011, Stewart-Binks was hired to the anchor desk by FOX Soccer Channel’s flagship program. After two years on the FOX Soccer Channel, Stewart-Binks was hired by FOX Sports 1 in June 2013, eventually becoming Fox’s regular sideline reporter for their MLS matches.

In December 2016, Stewart-Binks was hired by ESPN as a sideline reporter for MLS and U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Team games. On September 12, 2017, the announcement that Stewart-Binks would be joining Barstool Sports was made.

A Champions League finalist a season ago, Juventus heads to Camp Nou to take on Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Barcelona as the 2017 Champions League group stage kicks off with a rematch of the 2015 final. Juventus knocked Barcelona out of the tournament last year in the quarterfinals, eventually losing to Real Madrid in the final.

Barcelona is coming off a resounding 5–0 victory over Espanyol, while Juventus defeated Chievo 3–0. Barca has won 13 of their last 16 Champions League group games, tying twice and losing once. However, unlike those previous 16 games, Barcelona is now without Neymar after they sold him to Paris Saint-Germain for $263 million.
