Atlanta rapper Yung Mazi has been shot and killed on the night of Sunday, August 6 in Atlanta’s Kirkwood community.

According to reports from 11 Alive News:, Atlanta Police responded to the shooting near the intersection of Oakview Road and Hosea L. Williams Drive around 8:55 PM. Upon arriving, authorities found that Mazi, born Jibril Abdur-Rahman, had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

Police said it appears that Abdur-Rahman was targeted as he was shot multiple times in front of a pizza business called Urban Pie. Police said they responded to the incident when they heard gunshots from outside Zone 6 headquarters, which is located at 2025 Hosea L. Williams Drive.

Police have not released the name of the suspect. Social media was ablaze with unconfirmed reports and speculation that the victim was Yung Mazi, whose real name is Jibril A.

Yung Mazi was shot at a Buckhead Waffle House in the early morning hours of Dec. 27, 2016. He was shot three times during that particular incident and had even disclosed to police that he was shot 10 times prior to this shooting.

Atlanta police said they responded to a report of 10 to 25 gunshots. According to police, the suspect has dreadlocks and was wearing them pulled back in a bun. Furthermore, he was wearing a white T-shirt with dark jeans at the time of the deadly shooting.

This was not the first time that Mazi was a target of a shooting, as he claimed to have been shot 12 times before. According to Yung Mazi’s official website, Mazi was shot “five times—one bullet hitting him in the head and leaving him temporarily brain damaged, almost ending his life.” As a result of that shooting, Mazi said he had to learn how to “read, write, and speak all over again.”

Saul Alvarez, known as ‘Canelo,’ is a Mexican professional boxer.

He is a three-time world champion in two weight classes, having held the Ring magazine middleweight title since 2015. Previously he had two reigns as light middleweight world champion, holding the WBA (Unified), WBC, and Ring titles between 2011 and 2013, and the WBO title from 2016 to 2017. At middleweight, he also held the WBC and lineal titles between 2015 and 2017.

Fun fact: The nickname ‘Canelo’ which means cinnamon in Spanish was given to him in reference to his red hair.

Canelo Alvarez’s Net Worth 2017: $4.5 Million

Canelo Alvarez’s net worth is a huge amount: $4.5 million. With his successful career and exciting battle in Las Vegas in September, he is expected to go upwards from here. Interesting enough, although Alvarez is a high-profile boxer, his opponent, GGG is worth $6 million. This does not, however, predict who will win the bout. 2005-2010

Alvarez began his professional career at the young age of 15. Álvarez’ third official bout of his career was a win over future IBF Lightweight Champion, Miguel Vázquez on January 20, 2006, in his home town of Guadalajara, Jalisco. On June 28, 2008, Álvarez defeated Miguel Vázquez again in a rematch. He also made world history on that fight card when he and all of his six brothers fought on the same night, Canelo being the youngest. The only downside was that three of them failed to win their pro debuts.

On March 6, 2010, he got a crushing third-round knockout over Brian Camechis in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas. Álvarez defeated Jose Miguel Cotto on May 1, 2010, on the Floyd Mayweather vs. Shane Mosley undercard in the MGM Grand Garden Arena on HBO PPV to retain his NABF Welterweight title.

2011-2015

On March 5, 2011, Álvarez defeated EBU Welterweight Champion Matthew Hatton by unanimous decision, for the vacant WBC Light Middleweight belt.

On 17 September 2011, Álvarez successfully defended his title with a TKO in Round 6 over The Contender competitor Alfonso Gomez at the Staples Center, Los Angeles, winning by technical knockout victory in the sixth round.

Álvarez fought Alfredo Angulo on March 8, 2014. Álvarez came out strong, throwing combinations. In a fairly lopsided beating, Álvarez scored a tenth round stoppage over Angulo punctuated by a lead left uppercut.

On May 9, 2015, Álvarez defeated James Kirkland in a non-title super welterweight bout at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas via third-round knockout.

On November 21, 2015, Álvarez won the WBC, lineal and The Ring middleweight titles with a unanimous decision over Miguel Cotto in front of a sold-out crowd of 11,274 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. The fight took place at a catchweight of 155 lbs. Although Cotto gave a tremendous effort, moving nicely throughout the fight, the judges clearly went for Álvarez’s brute strength, with surprisingly wide scores of 119-109, 118-110 and 117-111. ESPN.com had the fight much closer, but still scored it in favor of Álvarez, 115-113.

2016-Present

In 2016, in front of a record breaking crowd of 51,240, Álvarez regained a world title at light-middleweight following a devastating left hook to the body in round 9. Smith was also knocked down once in round 7 and once in round 8, in a fight where Álvarez was in control from the opening bell. Álvarez landed 157 punches from 422 thrown with a connect rate of 37%, compared to Smith landing 115 from 403 thrown, a connect rate of 29%. The fight drew an estimate of 300,000 PPV buys.

Golovkin’s net worth is an astonishing amount. He is worth $6 million as of this year. No wonder he is worth this much; think about it, he won four major middleweight championships. Also, in his amateur career, Golovkin won a gold medal in the middleweight division at the 2003 World Championships. 2006-2009

2006 of May sparked the beginning of his professional career. After moving up the ranks from the amateur stage, Golovkin signed a professional deal with the Universum Box-Promotion (UBP) and made his professional debut in May 2006. By the end of 2008 Golovkin’s record stood at 14–0 (11 KO).

Golovkin was determined to become a worldwide name, dreaming of following in the Klitschko brothers’ footsteps by fighting in Madison Square Garden and Staples Center. He signed with K2 and went into training in Big Bear, California, with Abel Sanchez, the veteran trainer behind Hall of Famer Terry Norris and many other top talents.

In July 2009 Golovkin defeated John Anderson Carvalho to win the vacant WBO Inter-Continental Middleweight title.

2010-2014

In August 2010 he beat Milton Nunez to win the Interim WBA Middleweight title. In December 2011 he defeated Lajuan Simon to win the vacant IBO Middleweight title.

It was first reported on January 31, 2013 that a deal was close for Golovkin to defend his world titles against former WBA interim super welterweight champion Nobuhiro Ishida (24–8–2, 9 KO) in Monte Carlo on March 30. Ishida had lost his last two fights, but had never been stopped in his 13 year career. Golovkin became the first to knock out Ishida, in what was said to be a ‘stay busy fight’, finishing him in the third round with a vicious overhand right. The referee did not begin a count and immediately waved an end to the bout.

On June 3, 2014, after ten successful title defenses, the World Boxing Association officially elevated Golovkin from Middleweight champion to (Super) champion. Golovkin was also granted a special permission to defend his title against Daniel Geale.

2015-Present

His latest fight was a win over Willie Monroe, Jr. in May 2015 to bring his professional record to an undefeated 33 – 0 with 30 knockouts. In addition to being undefeated, he has never been knocked down or knocked out in almost 400 fights.

On May 18, 2016, Álvarez vacated the WBC middleweight title, which resulted in Golovkin being immediately awarded the title by the WBC who officially recognized him as their middleweight champion.

Immediately after the Chavez fight on May 6, Canelo Álvarez announced that he would next fight Golovkin on the weekend of September 16, 2017 at a location to be determined. So far Golovkin’s professional boxing record is 37 wins and 0 losses.

Chloe Ayling, a 20-year-old British model, was kidnapped, drugged, stuffed into a suitcase and held captive for six days. Furthermore, Ayling was auctioned on the dark web as a sex slave.

According to the Daily Mail, Ayling previously met her kidnapper, Polish man Lukasz Herba, during a business trip to Paris earlier in 2017. Herba, 30, paid Ayling’s agent cash to fly her out to Milan for a fake photo shoot. At the fake photo shoot, she was injected with horse-tranquilizer ketamine, forced into a suitcase and chained to furniture for six days.

When Ayling was finally released on July 15, Herba accompanied her to Milan’s British consulate after claiming the Black Death white slavery gang kidnapped her by mistake.

A close friend of Miss Ayling told MailOnline: ‘I can’t say too much because Chloe is being debriefed by British police and the Foreign Office, but she did know the man who kidnapped her.

He sent previous examples of his work and paid in advance. During the kidnapping Chloe lost her shoes. He took her to buy some new ones during her ordeal.”

Miss Ayling is said to have met Herba after she was caught up in a terrorist shooting of a policeman in Paris in April.

The young British model told how she was walking along the Champs-Elysee when the incident unfolded. She watched as police and ambulances rushed to the scene before she retreated to her hotel, her agent Phil Green said at the time. Miss Ayling’s mysterious shopping trip, her previous encounter with her abductor Herba and other strange details of the case led the Italian media to raise questions about the Briton’s testimony.

I’ve often heard the saying from middle-aged dudes, “I don’t smoke weed because there’s way too much chemicals in it, nowadays.” Then they’d puff a cigarette and finish their energy drink. Often, I’d laugh off their statements as another ironic baseless opinions from an older adult. But if we take a trip to California, and observe some of the practices of illegal marijuana farms, the millennial in me might just sing a different tune about unregulated ganja.

California has recently been responsible for ’90 percent of illegal U.S. marijuana,’ according to a new report from Reuters. The state has also shown a rapid increase in the usage of nationally restricted fertilizers such as carbofuran and zinc phosphide, according to ecologists.

“Increasingly, dangerous, unregistered pesticides are being encountered by law enforcement officers who investigate illegal marijuana grows,” said Special Agent-in-Charge of the Environmental Protection Agency criminal enforcement program, Jay M. Green. “Through their indiscriminate application, these unregistered pesticides pollute our lands and waters, create a significant safety risk to humans and animals, and present a mounting cleanup expense for taxpayers.”

The state of California has allegedly used ’41 times more solid fertilizers and 80 times more liquid pesticides’ than the amount that the state previously reported in 2013. It appears as if the state has been under-reporting the amount of fertilizers and pesticides released into the environment. So, it appears that full blame shouldn’t be reserved for illicit pot growers. The state, itself, appears to be writing off pollutants like someone cheating on their golf score.

These chemicals, that have been under-reported by California, carry deadly consequences. They can led to health defects in both human and animals. And if you consume enough of these chemicals, you can die.

The Environmental Agency said in their report, that “a single swallow can be fatal to a small child, and carbofuran to be ‘highly toxic to vertebrates and birds. In granular form, a single grain will kill a bird; for humans, one quarter of a teaspoon is a sufficient dose to be fatal.'”

In 2011, this agency announced that they would effectively prohibit the legal use of an inorganic chemical compound known as zinc phosphide.

Research from Reuters revealed that federal land in California currently has “731,000 pounds of solid fertilizer, 491,000 ounces of concentrated liquid fertilizer and 200,000 ounces of toxic pesticides.”

Marijuana officially became legalized for recreational use in California as a result of the November 2016 election. California citizens took part in a direct-democracy initiative, where 57 percent of voters chose “yes” on Proposition 64 compared to 43 percent who voted “no” on the Adult Use Of Marijuana Act (Prop. 64).

Supervisor of Trinity County Keith Groves wishes that the illegal marijuana growers would just get state licenses. According to Groves, there are roughly 4,000 illegal growers in the state. Groves said, “I’ll be happy if we can get 500 of them to become licensed.”

The Miz Is Pissed Off At Jason Jordan

The Miz opens up tonight’s episode of Raw. He’s extremely pissed off at Jason Jordan who went beast-mode on him and The Miztourage last week. Miz demands that Kurt Angle’s “illegitimate son” come down to the ring right now. The Miztourage start taking off their suit jackets in preparation for a fight.

Raw GM Kurt Angle’s music hits. Angle enters into the equation. He says Jason Jordan won’t be Miz’s guest for tonight. Jordan will be facing a member of The Miztourage later tonight. But Miz does have a beast of a guest….

Enter “The Beast” Incarnate Brock Lesnar! Miz seems unshaken. He runs his mouth, telling Brock and Paul that it’s virtually impossible that Lesnar will retain at SummerSlam. Miz puts his money on all three of Lesnar’s opponents. He’d bet on Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe, and Braun Strowman, but definitely not Lesnar.

Paul Heyman picks up the microphone and reintroduces himself. Heyman starts asking if Miz role-plays with his wife. Heyman says Miz is Roman Reigns, Bo Dallas is Samoa Joe, and Curtis Axel is Braun Strowman. Heyman says he’ll give everyone a prevent of what’s going to happen at SummerSlam. Heyman exits the ring, and Brock goes full beast mode.

Brock Lesnar absolutely decimates everyone in the ring. He first clotheslines both Axel and Dallas. Miz tries to fight off Lesnar, but gets taken to Suplex City. Lesnar sends all men packing to Suplex City actually. Brock gives an F-5 to everyone in The Miztoruage.

Seth Rollins vs. Sheamus

Sheamus and Rollins mix it up. Rollins gains the early advantage and dominates The Celtic Warrior. “The Celtic Warrior” is distracted by his tag team partner and Rollins capitalizes on the distracted Sheamus. Rollins launches himself onto “The Celtic Warrior, but pays for it when he gets caught. Sheamus turns the tide and drops Rollins crotch-first on the top rope. The Celtic Warrior knocks Seth out of the ring. Cesaro mocks Rollins at ringside. Sheamus walks over to Rollins, but gets hit in the face. Sheamus drops Rollins, and celebrates with Cesaro as go to the commercial break.

We’re back from the break, and Sheamus remains in control. He hits Rollins hard in the chest with a series of shots. Sheamus is about to take out Rollins with a Brogue Kick, but “The Architect” moves out of the way and hits The Celtic Warrior with an enziguri kick. Sheamus takes out Rollins and they both crumble to the floor. Rollins takes control, trying to suplex Sheamus from the top rope.

Rollins hits a hurricarana from the top rope. He follows up with a kick to the head. Seth goes for the cover. 1…2…kick out!

Seth hits Sheamus with a Sling Blade. Rollins ascends the top rope and Cesaro jumps up on the apron. Seth jumps towards Cesaro and misses. Sheamus rolls up The Architect for the win.

Sheamus defeats Seth Rollins

Post-Match: An aggravated and angry Seth Rollins launches himself onto Sheamus and Cesaro via suicide dive. But almost immediately, the tag team champions descend upon Rollins and pick him apart bit by bit. There is no Dean Ambrose to protect Seth Rollins now.

Jason Jordan vs. Jean-Pierre Goulet

Since Curtis Axel was taken out by Brock Lesnar, Angle needed a new guy to take on his son Jason Jordan. A jobber known as Jean-Pierre Goulet answers the call. The crowd chants “let’s go jobber!”

Jordan scoops Goulet’s leg and flips him on his head. Goulet tries to turn the tide. But Jason Jordan is way too intense. Jordan tackles Goulet into the corner. He sends this jobber to Suplex City. Jordan seals the deal with a devastating neck-break for the win.

Breaking News: Bayley Is Out Of SummerSlam

Bayley’s injured her shoulder last week in her match against Nia Jax. Jax ended up separating Bayley’s shoulder when she dropped her to the mat towards the end of the match. Bayley is joined in the ring by WWE interview Charly Caruso. We see a video of Nia Jax injuring. And Bayley can’t even look up and watch the video. Charly announces two triple threat matches will determine who goes onto face Alexa Bliss at SummerSlam. Bayley thinks “The Boss” Sasha Banks deserves the title shot the most out of everyone in the locke-room.

Sasha Banks vs. Alicia Fox vs. Emma

Sasha Banks controls the pace in the early going. She knocks Emma out of the ring and tangles with Fox. But then Emma emerges and takes out Sasha, knocking her to the outside. “Evil” Emma jumps up on the apron and kicks Fox right in the face.

Fox and Emma tangle, with Emma hitting the most wrestling moves. But then Sasha comes out of nowhere and knees Emma right in the face. Sasha and Fox mix it up, and Fox almost pins The Boss.

Emma regains control over Fox, but then Banks returns to the ring with force. She locks Emma in the Banks Statement. Emma taps the f*ck out!

Big Show says Big Cass has a “shawft jaw.” Out comes Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson who are looking for a fight. Gallows calls Big Show “a nerd!” Enzo says Gallows looks like Dr. Evil while Anderson looks like his Mini Me. ‘Zo challenges those boys to a fight.

Big Show & Enzo Amore vs. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson

Big Show dominates his opponents immediately. Gallows & Anderson are reeling outside the ring as we go to the commercial break. Show and Enzo remain in control. Gallows & Anderson try their best to turn the tide, but Show is too dominant and ‘Zo is one wild, slippery cat.

Big Cass enters the equation. He walks down to ringside, effectively distracting Big Show. Gallows capitalizes, kicking Show in the head. Gallows & Anderson return their attention to Enzo. They try to take out ‘Zo with The Magic Killer, but Enzo slips off.

The numbers game is too much for Enzo to handle. Karl Anderson ends the match with a big drive-by kick to Enzo.

Post-Match: Big Cass stalks a fallen Big Show. Cass pounces on Show, beating him into the mat with his fists. Cass then sets his focus on the little guy Enzo Amore. Big Cass tosses Enzo right into the barricade. Enzo manages to return to his feet, and tries to avoid the presence of the big man. Cass slowly stalks Enzo around the ring, but then walks right into Big Show’s fist.

Finn Balor Speaks!

Finn Balor calls Bray Wyatt “creepy.” No shit, Finn. Out comes Bray and he wants to fight Balor. Wyatt pounces from her perch on the top rope and lunges towards Balor. Finn ducks and runs across the ring. Wyatt goes on the attack again, and Finn kicks him in the face. Balor is about tot take out Wyatt, but the lights go out and Bray is gone.

Wyatt remains appears on the titan-tron screen. He’s laughing in the dark. His feud with Finn is far from over.

Cesaro vs. Dean Ambrose

Cesaro beat the living crap out of Ambrose for much of the match. But Dean loves punishment and exchanged some shots as well. Cesaro looks primed for victory, but Dean somehow turns things around. Sheamus tries to distract Ambrose, but it backfires. After a long grueling match, Ambrose somehow pulls out the victory with a quick and simple roll-up.

Post-Match: Cesaro & Sheamus assault Dean Ambrose immediately after the match. Seth Rollins runs out to even the odds. They fight off the champions. Dean wants to give Seth a fist bump, but Rollins walks out.

Akria Tozawa vs. Ariya Daivari

Both men exchange moves. Tozawa is dangerous with kicks. But Daivari knows how to take control with ground-and-pound action. Ariya locks Akira in a submission hold. Tozawa fights out and regains control. Akira hits a sick suicide dive outside the ring onto Daivari. Ariya attempts to turn the tide, but Akira is too much to handle. Tozawa ends the match with a Senton from the top rope.

Jax continues her path of carnage. Jax finally seals the deal with a leg-drop on Brooke.

Cass want to tangle with Show at SummerSlam, but he doesn’t want Enzo getting involved. Angle and Cass quickly brainstorm, and they both agree on having Enzo locked in a cage high above the ring during the match between Big Show and Big Cass at SummerSlam.

Last Man Standing Match: Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman

Reigns goes on the attack first, slapping Strowman in the first over and over. But this just gets Braun angry, who takes control, throwing Reigns into the barricade. Braun lifts Roman up and tosses him into the ring like a rag-doll. Strowman is absolutely decimating Reigns.

Strowman has been beating the sh*t out of Reigns for a while now. He tackles Roman into the steel steps during the break. Strowman tosses the steps into the ring. Roman turns the tide as he fires away on the big man with shot after shot. But Braun just won’t fall down. Reigns hits Strowman with the steps and knocks him down to a knee. Strowman gets up only to be knocked out his ass by some steel steps. Reigns goes beast-mode on Braun with the steps. He repeatedly hits Strowman with the steel. The referee begins the count, but Braun gets up at before the count of 10.

Roman is about to hit a Superman Punch, but Braun catches him. Reigns wiggles through only to be slammed to the mat by Strowman. Reigns gets to his feet at the count of 8. Braun tries picking up Roman, but Reigns counters with a Superman Punch from high up in the air. Both men make it to their feet, beating the count. Regns charges towards Strowman, but eats an insane dropkick. “That must be like receiving a dropkick from a T-Rex,” say Raw color commentator Corey Graves.

Braun charges towards Reigns, but goes shoulder-first into the steel post. Strowman struggles to get to his feet outside the ring. Reigns runs up to the big man and hits a Drive-By Kick. Reigns looks under the ring for a weapon. He pulls out a table and slides it in the ring. Reigns charges at Strowman, thinking about hitting another Drive-By Kick. But Braun knocks him down mid-air with a clothesline.

Strowman sets up the table. Reigns recuperates and fights off Braun. Roman takes out Braun with a Samoan Drop through the table. Strowman is able to return to his feet and exits the ring. Reigns charges towards Braun, but Strowman throws a black, rotating chair right in Reigns face.

Roman Reigns, somehow, returns to his feet. Strowman is still in control as he throws Reigns into the crowd. Roman fights back and punishes the bigger man. Reigns seems to be in control, but then Braun hits back with one big move. Strowman drives Reigns into the titan-tron screen. Reigns finds the strength to make it to his feet. Braun picks up Reigns and drives him into the screen once again.

Strowman looks frustrated as he sees Reigns recuperating. Braun pulls equipment off the announcer’s table. Strowman is about to send Reigns through the table, but Roman fights back. Reigns hits Superman Punch after Superman Punch. Roman charges towards Strowman, but runs right into a big boot. Reigns returns to his feet and runs at Braun full speed. Roman takes out Strowman with a spear.

Then out of nowhere, Samoa Joe comes out of the crowd and locks Reigns in the Coquina Clutch. Both Reigns and Strowman are lying down outside the ring. But Braun is the one to make it to his feet before the count of 10.

John Young and Tyler Minney, two former members of the University of Washington rowing team, have been charged after they allegedly filmed themselves having sex with an intoxicated freshman.

John Young, 19, of Brewster, New York, and Tyler Minney, also 19, of Folsom, California, have been charged on with a count of disclosing intimate objects. Furthermore, Minney faces a separate charge for sharing pictures of him having sex with another drunken student. Both students have since been kicked off the rowing team.

According to court documents, the first unidentified victim came forward in April after she learned that Minney and Young had been sharing a video of them having sex with her.

King County prosecutors allege in charging papers the two rowers had sex with a then-18-year-old student in December at McMahon Hall, a university dormitory, where they “filmed their sexual encounter without (the victim’s) knowledge or consent and distributed it to fellow classmates over the course of the next few months.”

Only months later did the victim learn from friends about the incident, the records say. She reported it to UW’s Title IX office, which in turn contacted university police. Prosecutors also contend Minney secretly took photographs as he had sex last October with a 19-year-old student who was drunk at the time. Minney allegedly shared the pictures with classmates over the next several months, prosecutors say.

The woman “had little to no memory of the … sex and did not learn it had been photographed until a friend showed her the picture,” according to the charging records.

A spokesman for the University of Washington’s athletic department gave a statement to The Seattle Times, saying:

“We are aware of charges filed against two former members of our men’s rowing program. Those individuals were immediately suspended from the team when we first learned of the investigation, and are now no longer part of the program.”

According to Dan Donohoe, a spokesman for the King County prosecutor’s office, Minney’s bail was set at $30,000 and Young’s was set at $20,00. Their arraignment hearing is set for August 17. The court has ordered both men to have no contact with the women.

Dr. Richard Watson, a professor at the University of Georgia professor, has enacted what he calls “stress reduction policy.” The purpose of Watson’s policy is to allow students to “choose their own grades in hopes of soothing those who feel unduly stressed by their earned ones. ”

Professor Watson, who is teaching two business courses in the fall, has introduced the policy because he believes that the emotional reactions to the stressful situations of college scan have consequences for all involved.

According to Watson’s syllabi, students can “email the instructor indicating what grade the student think is appropriate.”

If students feel “unduly stressed by a grade for any assessable material or the overall course,” they can “email the instructor indicating what grade [they] think is appropriate, and it will be so changed” with “no explanation” being required.

“If in a group meeting, you feel stressed by your group’s dynamics, you should leave the meeting immediately and need offer no explanation to the group members,” the policy adds, saying such students can “discontinue all further group work” with their remaining grade being “based totally on non-group work.”

Similarly, when it comes to “tests and exams” for Watson’s “Data Management” and “Energy Informatics” courses, all will be “open book and open notes” and “designed to assess low level mastery of the course material.”

Finally, for in-class presentations, Watson will allow “only positive comments” to be made, while “comments designed to improve future presentations will be communicated by email.

Watson is a Regents Professor at the University of Georgia. A Regents Professor is a title bestowed by the Board of Regents on “distinguished” faculty.

In the final frame of this weekend’s explosive Game Of Thrones, we see Jaime Lannister rapidly sinking to the bottom of a curiously deep river (stream? creek? what kind of body of water was that?)

But if you’ve been watching Thrones all this time then you know the eventual fate of a character as crucial as Jaime is going to be far more explicit than a fleeting image of him peacefully drowning. Ultimately, I believe Daenerys is going to give Jaime an ultimatum. Clearly not trying to be a “ruler of the ashes”, Dany wants to end this war as soon as possible and is going to attempt to use Jaime to bring an end to said war. The ultimatum is going to be as follows: march back to King’s Landing as an inside man and murder Cersei for me … or I’ll show up with my dragons and melt all of your faces off.

Jaime, who famously stabbed the Mad King in the back to avoid the melting of people’s faces, will realize that killing his sister (and lover) and becoming the Queen Slayer is the only way he’s going to be able to bring peace to the realm.

As I’ve long said, Jaime is the most complex person in a show known for its layered characters. Think about it, Game Of Thrones has successfully turned an obnoxiously rich and handsome sister-fucker who pushed a child out a window into one of the masses’ favorite remaining characters. With that logic, it’s only fitting that his story arc would meet a similarly complex end: with the murder of his sister-lover based on the order of the daughter of the Mad King he once slayed.

Lester “L.J.” Liston, a former linebacker for the Rutgers University football team, has been charged with murder and three other felonies in Michigan.

John Potbury, a spokesperson for the Genesee County Prosecutor’s Office said that Liston, 22, was arraigned on Friday, August 4 and will remain held without bail on first-degree murder, felony use of a firearm, possession of less than 50 grams of cocaine with intent distribute and careless discharge of a firearm causing injury or death.

According to MLive, Liston allegedly gunned down a man on July 30 in retaliation for another murder.  A woman was also injured in the shooting.

Lester Gene Liston Jr., 22, faces charges of first-degree murder, felony firearm, possession with intent to deliver cocaine less than 50 grams and careless discharge of a firearm causing injury or death.

Liston is accused of gunning down Larry James Dunn on July 30 in Flint. Dunn, 44, was found at 11:37 p.m. at Roselawn and Cloverlawn drives suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The killing appeared to be revenge in connection to another homicide, according to the Genesee County Prosecutor’s Office. No other details were released.

A 30-year-old woman also was also injured in the shooting, according to court documents. Liston was arraigned on the charges on Friday, Aug. 4 and is being held without bail.

Liston, who cited the birth of his son to move to a university closer to home, transferred to Northern Michigan University after he departed Rutgers.

Before college, Liston was a standout football player at Grand Blanc High School who graduated in 2012. He attended Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Virginia, before accepting a scholarship at Rutgers University.

James Damore, a former software engineer at Google, was fired on Monday, August 7, for violating the company’s code of conduct. Google fired Damore after he authored internal memo that claimed women were “biologically less likely to succeed at the company.”

Google CEO Sundar Pichai released a statement on Damore’s dismissal, saying that portions of the memo violated Google’s code of conduct. Furthermore, he said that the memo “crossed the line by advancing harmful gender stereotypes in our workplace.'”

Damore, who began working at Google in 2013, wrote a controversial 10-page document which was first published by technology website Motherboard on Saturday. Danmore, a 2013 Harvard graduate, stated that women could not get ahead at Google due to “biological differences.”

Damore’s 10-page memorandum accused Google of silencing conservative political opinions and argued that biological differences play a role in the shortage of women in tech and leadership positions. It circulated widely inside the company and became public over the weekend, causing a furor that amplified the pressure on Google executives to take a more definitive stand.

After the controversy swelled, Danielle Brown, Google’s new vice president for diversity, integrity and governance, sent a statement to staff condemning Damore’s views and reaffirmed the company’s stance on diversity. In internal discussion boards, multiple employees said they supported firing the author, and some said they would not choose to work with him, according to postings viewed by Bloomberg News.

“We are unequivocal in our belief that diversity and inclusion are critical to our success as a company,” Brown said in the statement. “We’ll continue to stand for that and be committed to it for the long haul.”

In his document, Damore detailed his belief that Google is “blind to” the differences between men and women. Furthermore, Damore said that Google staff are trained to believe that “a lack of diversity is down to discrimination when sometimes there are other factors to consider.”

I started just a couple of weeks ago, and I had hoped to take another week or so to get the lay of the land before introducing myself to you all. But given the heated debate we’ve seen over the past few days, I feel compelled to say a few words.

Many of you have read an internal document shared by someone in our engineering organization, expressing views on the natural abilities and characteristics of different genders, as well as whether one can speak freely of these things at Google. And like many of you, I found that it advanced incorrect assumptions about gender. I’m not going to link to it here as it’s not a viewpoint that I or this company endorses, promotes or encourages.

Diversity and inclusion are a fundamental part of our values and the culture we continue to cultivate. We are unequivocal in our belief that diversity and inclusion are critical to our success as a company, and we’ll continue to stand for that and be committed to it for the long haul. As Ari Balogh said in his internal G+ post, ‘Building an open, inclusive environment is core to who we are, and the right thing to do. ‘Nuff said.’

Google has taken a strong stand on this issue, by releasing its demographic data and creating a company wide OKR on diversity and inclusion. Strong stands elicit strong reactions. Changing a culture is hard, and it’s often uncomfortable. But I firmly believe Google is doing the right thing, and that’s why I took this job.

Part of building an open, inclusive environment means fostering a culture in which those with alternative views, including different political views, feel safe sharing their opinions. But that discourse needs to work alongside the principles of equal employment found in our Code of Conduct, policies, and anti-discrimination laws.

I’ve been in the industry for a long time, and I can tell you that I’ve never worked at a company that has so many platforms for employees to express themselves — TGIF, Memegen, internal G+, thousands of discussion groups. I know this conversation doesn’t end with my email today. I look forward to continuing to hear your thoughts as I settle in and meet with Googlers across the company.
