On Friday night’s edition of Live PD, a man was arrested after police responded to a trespassing call. He didn’t appreciate being filmed and his face was bleeding, so it’s safe to say that he wasn’t having the best time. But instead of moping, he decided to make lemonade out of lemons by belting out some Pearl Jam.

Watch him do his best Eddie Vedder impression of the band’s smash hit “Even Flow”.

That was actually pretty damn good. It’s a stone cold lock that he’s had some electric karaoke performances in his day. It was also a savvy move by him to not sing “Yellow Ledbetter”. Trying to perform that gibberish would be a surefire way to get an additional charge of public intoxication.

He may have been in the wrong for trespassing, but he was 100% correct when he said that Eddie Vedder is the baddest motherf*cker. I’ve seen Pearl Jam twice myself, so if this dude needs me as a character witness at his trial, I’ve got his back all the way.

While All Access is nowhere near as good as HBO’s 24/7 series, that was still pretty damn entertaining. The narrator couldn’t hold Liev Schreiber’s jock, but I’ll give him a break considering Liev could read the phone book and I’d be absolutely captivated.

The next three episodes in the four-part series will only be available to Showtime subscribers, and the remaining episodes will air at 10:00 ET/PT over the next three Friday nights. Let’s just keep our fingers crossed that All Access: Mayweather vs. McGregor doesn’t end up being more entertaining than the actual fight.

On July 29, UFC fans all over the world should be glued to their television screens to watch what appears to be the best fight card of the year. UFC 214 possesses two championship fights that UFC fans have been wanting to see for a long time. Fans have the opportunity to watch Lightweight powerhouse Tyron Woodley defend his title against submission specialist Demian Maia as well as the most anticipated fight of the year: Jones vs. Cornier 2. However, UFC 214 also has several fights between high-quality opponents that have flown completely under the radar. The PPV main card also features former UFC Welterweight champion Robbie Lawler who will be fighting against UFC legend Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone. Any of these three fights could easily have been the main event on any UFC fight card. In my opinion, the fact that all three of these fights are on one fight card makes the $49.99 price tag completely worth it.

The main event of UFC 214 is the long-awaited rematch of Jon Jones and current Light Heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier. The first installment of this rivalry took place on January 3, 2015 where Jones defended his Light Heavyweight belt successfully against Cormier in a five round decision at UFC 182. However, a lot has changed since that fight which helps explain how Cormier currently has the belt despite losing to Jones.

In April of 2015, Jones turned himself in to police after a hit-and-run incident that he was allegedly involved in the previous day in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Later that month, the UFC stripped Jones of his championship belt and Jones was suspended indefinitely. Jones, eventually, was reinstated by the UFC and was given an opportunity to regain his championship belt at UFC 197 against Ovince Saint Preux where he won in a unanimous decision. All appeared back to normal and Jones was poised to be the face of the UFC again. Jones was expected to defend his belt at UFC 200 in a rematch against Cormier on July 9, 2016. However, prior to the fight, Jones failed a USADA drug test and was suspended for a year by the United States Anti-Doping Agency.

At long last, it appears that Jones and Cormier 2 is finally going to happen. Jones, when healthy, has won 22 of his 23 career fights and could potentially be the greatest UFC fighter of all-time. However, Jones has not fought in over a year and one has to question how rusty he will be against a world class opponent in Daniel Cormier.

While Jones was suspended by the UFC, Cormier remained focused on capturing the UFC Light Heavyweight belt. In order to receive another title shot, Cormier had to defeat knockout specialist Anthony “Rumble” Johnson twice as well as Light Heavyweight contender Alexander Gustafsson. Cormier, the 2001 Runner-up in NCAA Division I wrestling, has won 19 of his 20 MMA fights and has used his wrestling expertise to submit six of his opponents.

After defeating Gustafsson, Cormier was given a shot at the title before Dana White, the President of the UFC, told him about Jones’ failed drug test. Instead, Cormier decided to remain on the UFC 200 fight card voluntarily and defeated UFC legend Anderson Silva instead. Cormier has been waiting a long time for this opportunity to fight Jones again and I expect him to make the most of it.

It is very rare that two fighters actually despise each other when they are about to fight. Unlike Mayweather and McGregor, these fighters actually cannot stand each other and have even exchanged blows in pre-fight press conferences in the past. Jones believes that Cormier has no right to be considered champion because Cormier lost to him in the past and Cormier hates Jones for consistently getting into legal trouble which prevented this rematch from occurring over a year ago.

Regardless of who wins this fight, expect a bloodbath. This fight has “Fight of the Year” written all over it and I expect this fight to be a nail-biter all the way to the judges’ scorecards. Personally, this fight has me extremely torn. Jones used to be my favorite fighter but after all the legal drama, I simply dislike him as a person and cannot see myself rooting for him. On the other hand, I used to think Cormier was a boring fighter but he has done everything possible to regain the championship belt and I respect him for that. For those reasons, I guess I am rooting for Cormier.

As for my fight prediction, I gotta side with Jones. Jones looks ready for the contest and has handled Cormier’s elite wrestling before. I think Jones wins in a split decision due to his takedown defense and elite striking.

Late Saturday night, all 22,000 people in attendance were evacuated from the Tomorrowland music festival in Barcelona, Spain after the stage caught on fire. Thankfully, no injures were reported, as everyone was able to make it out safely.

According to NPR, the fire was caused by a technical malfunction. Via Tomorrowland’s Facebook, here’s their statement on the incident.

Tonight, July 29th 2017, the UNITE Barcelona stage caught fire due to a technical malfunction. Thanks to the professional intervention of the authorities all 22.000 visitors were evacuated safely and without reports of injuries. Authorities will follow up and continue the investigation with the local Spanish organizer of UNITE.

There’s awful news coming out of Konstanz, Germany, as it’s being reported that a gunman opened fire at the Grey nightclub early Sunday morning. As of this writing, one person has died and three people are seriously injured.

When police promptly arrived on the scene, the 34-year-old gunman refused to surrender. He was fatally wounded in the ensuing gunfight and would later die in a hospital.

Here’s The Guardian with the latest report in Konstanz.

The motive for the shooting was unclear. One police officer was also injured in the exchange of fire.

The gunman was an Iraqi citizen who had lived in the country for a long time and was not an asylum seeker, a German police spokesman told broadcaster N-TV.

Fritz Bezikofer said police had ruled out terrorism, adding: “The motives of the man who acted alone are unclear. We are still investigating but the circumstances surrounding the events at the disco in the evening before the shooting are a bit clearer and this led us to rule out a terrorism background.”

A witness told local media he saw an attacker with a machine gun, adding: “The club was packed. I would guess there were more than 100 people inside.”

It currently sounds like the gunman was strictly a total monster and psychopath without any political motives. We’ll continue to monitor this story and update our post if any new information comes to light.

With the 2017 Hungarian Grand Prix officially in the books, now seems like the perfect time to get familiar with Spanish Formula One driver Fernando Alonso’s lovely girlfriend Linda Morselli. Justin Roiland, co-creator of the insanely popular animated series Rick and Morty, was blessed with one of the most coveted dipping sauces on the planet. That’s right, I’m talking about the beloved Szechuan Sauce from McDonald’s. The sauce debuted in the summer of 1998 to help promote the Disney movie Mulan, but unfortunately, it disappeared from menus shortly afterwards.

In the season three premiere of Rick and Morty, it was revealed that Rick was a fiend for this elusive sauce. You can check out the bizarre clip in the video below.

McDonald’s must have heard Rick loud and clear because Roiland just received the culinary gift of a lifetime. He posted photos of his Szechuan Sauce bounty on Twitter, and via Nerdist, I’ve included text of the letter in case you can’t make it out.

Malik McDowell’s Instagram

It was reported today that Seattle Seahawks rookie Malik McDowell is not at training camp due to an injury he suffered in an ATV accident. Here are the latest details on McDowell, courtesy of NFL.com.

Coach Pete Carroll told reporters Sunday that the accident happened a couple of weeks ago. McDowell was placed on the reserve/did not report list. The Michigan State product remains in Michigan recovering from the injury.

Carroll did not specify the type of injury, but NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo and James Palmer reported McDowell suffered a concussion and facial injuries. Carroll said “we’ll see” when asked if the rookie could miss the entire season.

The 21-year-old defensive lineman is from Southfield, Michigan, and he was a force at Michigan State University. He made second-team All-Big Ten in both 2015 and 2016, and after three years as a Spartan, he declared for the 2017 NFL Draft. McDowell was selected by the Seahawks with the 35th overall pick in the second round, as many pundits considered him to be one of top defensive tackles in the entire country.

The Seahawks have released a statement on McDowell, and let’s hope that he’ll make a speedy recovery.

Game Of Thrones’ epic seventh season continues tonight with episode 3 “The Queen’s Justice.”

Written by D.B. Weiss and David Benioff, the show’s creators, and directed by Mark Mylod who also directed episode two of the season, tonight’s episode marks the first meeting of the show’s two most important characters, Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen.

The synopsis for “The Queen’s Justice”:

In last week’s episode, “Stormborn”, Daenerys had Tyrion summon Jon Snow south to Dragonstone to ‘bend the knee’, however, Tyrion did not disclose that in his invitation. Meanwhile, Euron Greyjoy returns to King’s Landing after his successful attack and capturing of Yara Greyjoy and the Sand Snakes. It also appears that Greyworm and the Unsullied army will be heading to Casterly Rock, the home of the Lannisters, in order to take control of it.

Arguably one of the most whimsical and darkest adventures on television is about to get more whimsical and darker. The surprise drop on April 1st of the season premiere left people in the dark on when we were going to see our favorite mad scientist and whipping boy.

For those who haven’t watched before, Rick and Morty follows a brilliant but sociopathic grandfather and his half-witted grandson as they explore the multiverse where they explore themes like religion, slavery, family, and Squanching. If you’ve never watched before it’s something recommended to watch from the start since there is an overarching story through the series.

This season looks to be tackling parodies of Mad Max and attack of the 50 Foot Woman which is no surprise since the show has no hesitation to parody movies in the past like Inception and The Purge. From the trailer Rick can’t stop reiterating that this will be the darkest season yet. Coming from a show that’s main characters have destroyed the earth once already, it begs the question how much worse does it get from here?

Co-creator, Justin Roiland couldn’t stop himself revealing that they’re already working on an inevitable fourth season already. Season 3 will be 10 episodes including the April season premiere. Don’t worry guys, Pickle Rick is almost here.

Walker County Sheriff’s Office

A massive manhunt broke out on Sunday night after 12 inmates broke out and escaped from the from Walker County Jail in Jasper, Alabama at about 6:30 PM on Sunday evening.

At the time of this writing, eleven of the escaped prisoners have been recaptured, however, two remain on the run. As a result, the local police department is urging people ‘to stay indoors and turn on their lights.’

According to reports, two of the escaped convicts were serving jail sentences for attempted murder.

The escaped prisoners include Christopher Micheal Smith, Brady Andrew Kilpatrick, Larry Inman Jr., Ethan Howard Pearl, Steven Blake Lamb, Michael Adam McGuff, Johnny Richard Hunter, Christopher Cole Spain, Kristopher Keith Secrest, Quadrekas Latoddrick Key, Timothy Chaz Cooper, and Steven Sanford Hartley.

Christopher Micheal Smith, 19, and Brady Andrew Kilpatrick, were still on the run as of early Monday. They were among the 12 who made a brazen escape from Walker County Jail.

Larry Inman Jr., 29, and Ethan Howard Pearl, 24, were both recaptured by authorities from the Walker County Sheriff’s Office and the Birmingham police at a gas station off Interstate 65 a little more than 10 minutes apart from each other Monday.

Among the inmates who were recaptured are Steven Blake Lamb, 28, Michael Adam McGuff, 30, Johnny Richard Hunter, 26, Christopher Cole Spain, 18, Kristopher Keith Secrest, 20, Quadrekas Latoddrick Key, 21, Timothy Chaz Cooper, 28, and Steven Sanford Hartley, 27.

While it is not immediately clear how the prisoners escape, officials said an investigation is underway.

The Walker County Sheriff’s Office is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the capture of the last escaped inmate.

Ever since being introduced in the fourth season of Game Of Thrones, Ellaria Sand and the Sand Snakes has been some of the more polarizing characters on the show. However, since the start of the seventh season, the Sand Snakes from Dorne have had quite a rough go, with only two of the four still alive. And given the fact that the two remaining are currently locked in a dungeon, it’s safe to assume that by the end of this season, there will be no Sand Snakes left.

So we figured it would be a good idea to take this time to appreciate Indira Varma, the actress who plays Ellaria Sand, the only bearable Sand Snake.

Varma is a British actress who made her film debut in Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love. She has gone on to appear in the television series The Canterbury Tales, Rome, Luther, Human Target, and of course, Game of Thrones. In September 2016, she began starring in the ITV/Netflix series Paranoid, as DS Nina Suresh.

Ellaria Sand is a bastard from Dorne and is the paramour of Oberyn Martell’s. She is the mother of the youngest four Sand Snakes, who are Oberyn’s bastard daughters. She is a vengeful woman, and like Oberyn, bisexual.

And now that she’s in Cersei’s hands, she’s as good as dead.

Newly released footage shows Damian Herrera, a former New Mexico college student accused of killing five people in a shooting spree, trying to escape prison by locking a security guard in his cell.

The security camera footage shows Herrera attempting to escape prison for the second time after he allegedly shot five people in Rio Arriba, New Mexico.

Herrera, the 21-year-old former college student, can be seen on camera locking one guard in his cell and then using a flashlight to attack another.

“He told one of the guards that was on duty that his toilet wasn’t working. So the guard went ahead to open the door to check the toilet. When he went in to check the toilet, Mr. Herrera locked him into the cell,” Rio Arriba County Sheriff James Lujan said.

Herrera then immediately goes to the guard station and grabs a large flashlight from under the desk. He hears another guard coming and hides behind a wall.

“As the guard passed the corner of the wall, he struck him with a flashlight, and then a fight ensued. So they had a wrestling match going on in the booking area,” Lujan said.

The guard tried to stun Herrera with a Taser, but it didn’t work. More guards sprinted in to help and eventually got control of him. They strapped Herrera’s ankles and wrists into a chair but he still tried to break free of the straps.

According to Sheriff Lujan, jail employees did their jobs by keeping Herrera in the jail, but also believes a different facility would suit him better:

“I think it would be better for all of our detention facility personnel for the public up in Tierra Amarilla, and the county of Rio Arriba if we went ahead and had him transferred out,” Lujan said.

Furthermore, Lujan says Herrera could be moved to the Santa Fe-based state prison this week.

Herrera has been charged with the five murders, however, it has been determined that he’s unfit to stand trial.

It finally happened. After seven long, winding, brutal and beautiful seasons of Game Of Thrones, Jon Snow, the King in the North, finally met Daenerys Targaryen, the Mother of Dragons.

By far the two biggest and most important characters in the show, “The Queen’s Justice” marked the first time the two had shared a scene together, and it didn’t start as smoothly as everyone hoped.

Unbeknownst to Jon, Daenerys invited him south to Dragonstone with the expectation that he bend the knee and pledge his allegiance. However, not only was Jon unaware of her expectations, but he defied that when he found out anyway.

Now, while Daenerys ultimately met Jon half way by allowing him to mine for dragon glass, her attitude is what’s most concerning. Daenerys seems hell bent on becoming Queen just for the sake of becoming Queen, which sure sounds a lot like her Mad King of a father.

Whether or not this is just a misdirection is yet to be seen, but make no mistake of it, the Game Of Thrones writers are undoubtedly hitting at a Mad Queen turn from Daenerys.

John Francis Kelly has been officially been sworn in by President Donald Trump has his second Chief of Staff. Kelly had previously served as United States Secretary of Homeland Security for the Trump administration.

Kelly, born May 11, 1950, is a retired United States Marine Corps general who was first drafted to fight in Vietnam. Kelly, who was born and raised in Boston, hitchhiked to Washington State and rode the trains back, including a freight-hop from Seattle to Chicago, before the age of 16.

Kelly is the former commander of United States Southern Command, the Unified Combatant Command responsible for American military operations in Central America, South America, and the Caribbean.

In addition to his military career, Kelly has served as a board member, advisor, and/or independent contractor for defense lobbying firms, including DynCorp, Flatter and Associates, and Beacon Global Strategies. Records indicate that Kelly has received nearly $200,000 from DynCorp.

On July 31, 2017, Kelly was sworn in as President Donald Trump’s second Chief of Staff, following the dismissal of Reince Priebus.

2000-2015

In 2002, Kelly served with the 1st Marine Division as the assistant division commander.

In March 2003, while in Iraq, Kelly was promoted to brigadier general, which was the first known promotion of a Marine Corps colonel in an active combat zone since January 1951.

In April 2003, Kelly took command of the newly formed Task Force Tripoli and drove it north from Baghdad into Samarra and Tikrit.

In January 2007 Kelly was nominated for major general and was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on September 11, 2007.

On February 9, 2008 Kelly assumed command of the Multi-National Force–West in Iraq, replacing Major General Walter E. Gaskin, and returned to the United States in February 2009.

Kelly took over as commander of U.S. Southern Command on November 19, 2012.

2016-Present

On December 7, 2016, then President-elect Donald Trump nominated Kelly to head the Department of Homeland Security.

4:00- The deadline comes to a close with Gray being the biggest move of the day. This will update further as more deals come through.

3:00- The Yankees and the A’s have reached an agreement to trade Sonny Gray to New York. More details on the trade forthcoming. It will be interesting to see which prospects will move.

2:30- With just under 90-minutes left before the trade deadline, a few small deals are getting done, but nothing that will drastically change the landscape of the league. Still time for a big move…
