Brandon Zingale, former University of Missouri-Columbia freshman who was hospitalized in September 2016 due to alcohol poisoning, has sued the university’s Kappa Alpha fraternity, including three individual members, for hazing.

Zingale, who was an 18-year-old pledge at Kappa Alpha at the time of the incident, claims he was “coerced by active members ofo drink so much vodka that he nearly died” at the fraternity house in Columbia the night of September 27, 2016.

According to the lawsuit filed Thursday in Boone County Circuit Court, after Zingale passed out, members of the fraternity left him alone, putting him to bed and attaching a backpack in an effort to keep him from rolling over and suffocating. The following morning when paramedics arrived, Zingale was found unconscious, foaming at the mouth.

Zingale’s BAC, almost 10 hours after he stopped drinking, was 0.41 percent, which is over five times the legal limit for driving in Missouri. According to reports, Zingale experienced ‘acute respiratory failure, nerve compression, and metabolic dysfunction.’

Defendants in the suit include the fraternity’s national organization Kappa Alpha Order and its Alpha Kappa chapter at Mizzou. The fraternity knew of the risk of hazing traditions involving heavy drinking and did not do enough to prevent its members’ dangerous activities, according to the suit.

Jacob Lee, president of the fraternity chapter at the time, Max McGrath and Ryan Heuermann, fraternity members, are also named in the suit, which alleges that the three students participated in the hazing of Zingale and did not get him emergency medical care fast enough.

One month after the incident, the University of Missouri kicked the Kappa Alpha fraternity off campus for five years. At the time, the fraternity released a statement that read “misuse of alcohol, and hazing, are each contrary to our values and are strictly and expressly prohibited by Kappa Alpha Order.”

The Kappa Alpha national organization conducted their own investigation, concluding that the incident involving Zingale did not constitute hazing.

In a statement, Zingale’s parents said: “We are hopeful that Brandon’s lawsuit will bring attention to the danger of alcohol hazing at fraternities and universities across the country.”

The Emoji Movie just hit theaters this Friday, and it’s already in the toilet when it comes to the critics. Some have described this film as “unfunny,” a “waste of time,” and “brutally depressing.” Currently, this film has a 3% on the film review site Rotten Tomatoes. Sounds low, right? Well, this is actually an improvement considering the film originally received a zero percent on that web site.

T.J. Miller stars in this critically-panned feature. He plays the roles of “Meh” emoji character and Stewart the poop emoji. Miller even called The Emoji Movie a “great film” and that he was very excited working on this movie following his departure from the HBO series Silicon Valley.

However, some have disagreed with Miller’s assessment of the film. Screencrush’s Matt Singer says, “Between Poop and Gene Meh, the characters’ names provide a more succinct and effective Emoji Movie review than I ever could.”

Let’s just say that critics took a total sh*t all over Miller’s masterwork. This isn’t a good look for the former Erlich Bachman. I wonder how Miller will respond…

But then again, these negatives reviews may just inspire sympathy from some overly generous movie-goer…

Another huge criticism of the film, besides making some viewers depressed, is the fact that it’s also one big product placement advertisement. Sony teamed up with a bunch of apps and shamelessly promoted them throughout the movie as a means to generate more revenue.

A 19-year-old Sophomore claims to have had the “worst morning of his life” on Friday after his phone blew up with text messages asking for a cow. Someone apparently put this teen’s phone number on a Craigslist ad selling a “black heffer (heifer) who likes to go by boo boo.”

This teen’s phone exploded with cow-related text messages…

On Thursday night, right before bedtime, Old Dominion University student Shannon Barbour discovered an unusual message inquiring about a heifer from a person named Anita.

Barbour awoke this morning to a barrage of messages, all wanting to buy that black heifer from him. The price of the cow was set incredibly low at $50 for Boo Boo. And people responded to the offer by blowing up his phone so much that he stopped receiving notifications.

And this is the worst day of his life. Getting bothered with a mass amount of text messages equals the worst day ever? Really? Really?

Everyone seemed desperate to buy Boo Boo. Many people simply wanted that a piece of that “black heffer.”

As a side note, the author of that Craigslist post misspelled the word “heifer,” which is another name for female cow. Instead the author wrote “heffer,” which is actually the name of the yellow steer on the cult class Nickelodeon show Rocko’s Modern Life (which is actually making a big comeback soon).

I’ll get back at the task at hand, involving Barbour, a black heifer named Boo Boo, and the barrage of text messages that ultimately followed. Before we get to more messages, here’s a quick look at the Craigslist ad that started….

Barbour started responding to the texts in a humorous manner. The 19-year-old Virginia native even replied to one text stating that Boo Boo became his morning breakfast. Steak and eggs just got a whole lot more person. Barbour was surprised to find out that people didn’t give a f*ck that he put down the cow.

Ok thanks? WTF?

Some people brought the humor to Barbour first…

Shannon Barbour now thinks that the Craigslist ad may just be a prank from one of his friends. Barbour told Buzzfeed that, “Fifty dollars for a whole cow is kind of suspicious.”

One farmer even offered Barbour $200 for that black heifer. Maybe Shannon should get into the beef-raising business.

“I guess the farmers saw it and just went nuts for it,” said Shannon. “That’s how it is here.”

A 18-year-old woman from Claiborne Parish, Louisiana, was allegedly murdered by an escaped prison inmate on Thursday. Amanda Leigh Carney is the stepdaughter of an assistant prison warden, as well as a recent graduate of Summerfield High School.

Carney was allegedly abducted and held hostage by a 39-year-old prison escapee named Deltra Henderson. The convict escaped from David Wade Correctional Center, and later found the young lady in her car. He allegedly stole the car, took the lady hostage and later stabbed her to death. Henderson ditched her vechicles in the woods, and confronted another civilian and also stole that person’s vehicle.

Deidre Ball, the wife of Anthony Scaramucci, has filed for divorce.

According to the report from Page Six, Ball decided to file for divorce from Scaramucci because of his “naked political ambition.”

Ball is a vice president for SkyBridge Capital, an investor relation firm that Scaramucci founded in 2005 and then sold to take a job at White House.

Ball and Scaramucci, known as “The Mooch” were married for three years, after starting to date in 2011, and getting married in 2014. The report indicates that Ball was ‘fed up with his ruthless quest to get close to President Trump’ whom she despises.

The source said that the Wall Street financier, 52, had been “hell-bent” on claiming his position at the White House after he was originally pegged for a senior role and sold SkyBridge Capital in preparation in January. He was blocked by Reince Priebus, Trump’s chief of staff. But, after an aggressive campaign, Scaramucci was made communications director on July 21 by Trump, prompting Sean Spicer to quit.

A second source close to Scaramucci — who has alternately not been wearing his wedding ring, or has been sporting it on his right hand — said the former couple had fought over his loyalty to Trump. This was his second marriage and Ball was noticeably not present at his recent SALT conference in mid-May.

The source said, “Deidre is not a fan of Trump, and she hasn’t exactly been on board and supportive of Anthony and his push to get back into the White House.”

Furthermore, the report indicates that Ball, who graduated from the University Of Buffalo, donated $5,400 to the congressional campaign of anti-Trump Democrat Kathleen Rice in 2015.

Ball’s divorce filing comes as Scaramucci faces controversy over comments he made to The New Yorker.

One of the greatest youth league goalies to ever step in-between the pipes has found himself in some hot water. Shaun Weiss, who played the incomparable Greg Goldberg in all three movies in The Mighty Ducks franchise, was arrested for petty theft.

Here’s TMZ with the scoop.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … Shaun was at a Fry’s Electronics earlier this month and stole $151 in merchandise. Two days after his arrest, he pled no contest to petty theft, and was sentenced to 150 days in L.A. County Jail.

We’re told he got a stiff sentence because this was second petty theft bust.

His manager, Don Gibble, tells TMZ, “[Shaun] hopes jail will help him, and maybe while he is in jail he will write something.”

What a bummer. The 38-year-old actor must really be struggling to resort to pulling a small heist from a goddamn electronics store. You gotta wonder if he’s still upset from getting replaced at the Junior Goodwill Games by Julie “The Cat” Gaffney. Watching her be the hero after making a slick glove save on Iceland’s Gunnar Stahl had to be a tough pill to swallow. Time apparently doesn’t heal all wounds, so let’s take a trip back to Goldberg’s glory days.

The saga between LaVar Ball and Shaquille O’Neal continues. These two have been going back and forth at each other for months now, and yesterday, Shaq delivered the biggest blow yet. O’Neal dropped a ruthless diss track aimed at Ball over the instrumental from the Jay Z classic “Blueprint (Momma Loves Me)”.

Early Saturday morning, Da’Shawn Hand was arrested in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama on charges of driving under the influence. The senior defensive lineman for the University of Alabama is currently being held on a $1,000 bond.

Not many details about Hand’s arrest are currently known, but via CBS Sports, Nick Saban has released a statement on the incredibly stupid incident.

“This type of behavior is not acceptable and we are disappointed in Da’Shawn’s actions,” he said. “We are still gathering information and will evaluate what we need to do in terms of appropriate discipline as we move forward, so better choices and decisions can be made in the future.”

While there’s absolutely never a good time to drive drunk, Saban has to be extra pissed at Hand with fall camp scheduled to begin on Thursday. Alabama will open their season with a huge matchup against Florida State on September 2, so distractions are the last thing that Saban wants right now.

Hand was expected to be a big part of the Crimson Tide’s defense this upcoming season, as he was named a preseason All-SEC selection. The 21-year-old from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was a five-star recruit in 2014, and many people were expecting him to deliver on his enormous potential in his senior year. Over his first three years at Alabama, Hand recorded 44 total tackles, six sacks, and one forced fumble in 24 games.

Inter Milan was taking on Chelsea today in a friendly at the 2017 International Champions Cup. Inter was in control for pretty much the entire finals match, and with roughly 16 minutes left to play, they held a 2-0 lead over Chelsea. The fat lady was warming up when Inter’s Geoffrey Kondogbia gave Chelsea a lifeline.

The 24-year-old French midfielder tried to pass to his goalkeeper, but instead, he scored the most amazing own goal that you will ever see. Watch the spectacular highlight (lowlight?) in the videos below.

Thankfully for Kondogbia, Inter Milan kept Chelsea off of the board for the remainder of the game, holding on for a 2-1 victory at Singapore’s National Stadium. It was Inter Milan’s first time ever winning the International Champions Cup, and it was most definitely a victory that they will always remember.

An unnamed 45-year-old woman from Sheffield Lake, Ohio learned the hard way that no good deed goes unpunished. The snake enthusiast already owned nine ball pythons when she decided to rescue two boa constrictors on Wednesday. The very next day, a 5-foot-6-inch boa constrictor showed their appreciation for the new digs by attacking her face.

Via Fox News, she called 911 and a firefighter saved her in gruesome fashion.

“I have a boa constrictor stuck to my face,” the woman yelled.

“Ma’am you have what?” the 911 dispatcher asked.

“Boa constrictor,” the woman repeated. “Please hurry. He’s biting my nose.”

“I’ve never heard of this before,” the dispatcher was heard saying.

Rescuers arrived within minutes and found the woman lying in the bloodied driveway of her home, the snake holding tight just as she described. A firefighter had to cut the snake’s head with a pocket knife in order to release the woman from its grasp. The woman, who was not identified, was transported to the hospital for treatment. She suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

That sounds like the definition of hell. I can’t imagine how painful and terrifying that ordeal must have been. But hey, that’s what you get for bringing a goddamn killing machine into your home. It’s like inviting Michael Myers over for a sleepover, then being surprised that he stabbed your ass. You reap what you sow, and if she didn’t want to end up like that four-eyed scumbag from Road Trip, she shouldn’t have gotten involved in the snake rescue game in the first place.
