Despite the fact that it’s now into its seventh season, most of the Game Of Thrones main characters have yet to even hear of each other, let alone meet each other.

But with only eleven episodes left, some of these long-anticipated meetings are inching closer and closer to becoming a reality.

One of those meetings is the long-awaited introduction between Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow.

The long-lost relatives have only just learned of each other’s existence, yet if the next episode’s preview is to be believed, are already going to come face to face.

Barbara Sinatra, the fourth and final wife of the late Frank Sinatra, died on Tuesday, July 25, at her Rancho Mirage home in California after months of declining health. She was 90-years-old.

Al Gore has been an integral part of politics and environmental advocacy for the past few decades. He was vice president under Bill Clinton, almost president in 2000 and now he is a leader in the fight against global warming. 1976-1992- Early Years in Government

Al Gore was born into a political family, and followed the path of his father to the United States Congress. Gore was elected to the House of Representatives as a Democrat from Tennessee in 1976. He would serve in the House until 1984 when he was elected as a Senator. He attempted to run for president in 1988, but did not receive the Democratic nomination. Gore was re-elected to the senate in 1990, but resigned his position in 1993 to serve as the Vice President to Bill Clinton.

1992-2000- Vice Presidential Years

Al Gore served as vice president from 1992-2000. As vice president, Gore took up a mission of environmental activism and advocacy. He was a lead delegate in the “Earth Summit,” in 1992 and a major force in the Kyoto Protocol in 1997. Also while in office, Gore promoted the development of low-emission vehicles, began the GLOBE program which focused on education and set the groundwork for the DSCOVR satellite. Following his time in Congress and as the Vice President, Gore’s net worth was only around $1.7 million. 

2000-2017- Environmental Advocacy and Entrepreneurship

Gore ran for president in 2000 and was defeated by George W. Bush despite winning the popular vote. Following the defeat, Gore began his career in the private sector and as an entrepreneur. He has participated in various climate conferences and was a big part of the Paris Climate Accords in 2015. He received a Nobel Prize in 2007 for his work, and he continues to serve as the chairman of the Climate Reality Fund.

Most of Gore’s money does not come from his speaking appearances or work on climate arrangements. Gore was a co-founder of Current TV, and received a hefty payout when the company was purchased by Al Jazeera in 2013. Gore also serves on the board of director for Apple, and sold off thousands of shares in February 2017, netting him millions of dollars. He continues to hold stock in Apple and is invested in other companies and firms. His first movie made $24 million domestically, and his speaking tours are worth over $100,000 per appearance . Al Gore has continued to stay relevant and make money long after his political days have ended.

Conor McGregor’s documentary Notorious is getting more bad-ass by the minute. On Monday, the very first trailer of McGregor’s documentary was released to the public, and it’s bad as f*ck.

McGregor has left us in the dark regarding the film’s details. However, judging by this video, it’ll probably be about Conor’s ascension to the top of the UFC mountain. Universal Entertainment released a kick-ass teaser on their Twitter, giving fans a sneak peek look into Notorious…

Conor might not talk too much about the film, as he has Floyd Mayweather to deal with. But on the film website, it states that the documentary was filmed over the course of four years and is an “exclusive, all-access account of Conor’s meteoric rise from claiming benefits and living in his parent’s [sic] spare room in Dublin to claiming multiple championship UFC belts and seven figure pay-packets in Las Vegas.”

McGregor is focused on his fight against Mayweather on August 26. Those guys have been taking shots at each for a while now. They’ll settle the score this summer in Las Vegas.

But cheese is suspected to be even older than that. Experts have proposed that cheese-making goes all the way back to 8000 BC, when sheep was first domesticated.

Charles Barkley is a legendary former NBA superstar, an Olympic gold medalist and, now, he appears to be acting as a life coach for ex-conman OJ Simpson. The Juice just got out of jail, and Mr. Barkley has taken full notice to OJ’s release. TMZ caught up with big baller Charles and asked him “if (he) thinks OJ is going to keep out of trouble?”

Ummmm … is that bad? That’s definitely bad. I’ve seen that movie Concussion with Will Smith, so I’m definitely going to assume that, yes, finding a degenerative brain disease in 99% of deceased NFL players is not a good thing.

According to a new study published on Tuesday in the medical journal JAMA, chronic traumatic encephalopathy, known as CTE, was found in 99% of deceased NFL players’ brains that were donated to scientific research.

The neurodegenerative brain disease can be found in individuals who have been exposed to repeated head trauma. The disease is pathologically marked by an buildup of abnormal tau protein in the brain that can disable neuropathways and lead to a variety of clinical symptoms. These include memory loss, confusion, impaired judgment, aggression, depression, anxiety, impulse control issues and sometimes suicidal behavior.

It can only be formally diagnosed with an autopsy, and most cases, although not all, have been seen in either veterans or people who played contact sports, particularly American football.

Dr. Ann McKee, director of Boston University’s CTE Center and coauthor of the new study, said:

“There’s no question that there’s a problem in football. That people who play football are at risk for this disease. And we urgently need to find answers for not just football players, but veterans and other individuals exposed to head trauma.”

The NFL also released a statement on the new study published in the JAMA, via CNN:

“The medical and scientific communities will benefit from this publication and the NFL will continue to work with a wide range of experts to improve the health of current and former NFL athletes….there are still many unanswered questions relating to the cause, incidence and prevalence of long-term effects of head trauma such as CTE.”

This guy got scared sh*tless by a little girl while playing a horror game, and he nearly blew up Twitch with his video. A user by the name of JurassicJunkieLive went from only having 100 followers to having the most viewed clip in the history of the web site.

JurassicJunkieLive is known for playing scary video games and screaming like a little girl. But then again, the little girl who frightened him in the viral video seemed much more brave than this grown gamer. He popped in Outlast 2, a first-person survival horror experience. And let’s just say he was more afraid of his environment outside the game than inside the confines of Outlast 2…

A cawing crow startled the gamer. But when he turned around he witnessed something even more terrifying His two-year-old daughter nearly scared him into next Tuesday. Seriously, the guy almost shat himself. He described the entire experienced on Reddit:

“So I’ve been streaming around 2 months, got to about 100 followers (well 150, but 50 of those are by one troll). And have been really enjoying streaming to my small audience.

I don’t really play many scary games, and one night some one bought me Five nights at freddy’s and I screamed like a little girl. From then on I learned my followers enjoyed how much I hate horror games so every Friday I’ve done “Frightday” and played scary games. I stream Mon/Wed/Fri but Fridays are always when I pull in most people. So I’ve made sure I’ve always got a good scary game ready.

I then started to play outlast 2, and had many jump scares that was clipped but one of them was perfect.

My partner went to the shop and got me a Jack Daniels (in a can) and sent me 2 year old daughter up the stairs to give it to me (My office is in the loft). Due to my headphones I never heard her enter the room. At this point a crow jumped up in the game and made me scream, I then looked down to see a devil child looking back at me and screamed blue murder.”

Let’s just say that screaming like a wimp got this guy over 1.5 million views for the clip. This is a new record, according to Clips.GG) and with his follower count jumped up to over 3,000 people. But really the guy can’t handle the fame. He wants to keep it low-key and doesn’t want anymore followers.

“At the moment I’m so overwhelmed by the response and happy to see people enjoying me being a pussy ;).

At this point I don’t think I want my channel to grow much larger as I’ve always enjoyed talking to my viewers and I think if I got any more, the chat would move to fast for both me and them to enjoy.

But anyway, thats my story of going from zero to number 1 spot in 24 hours.”

AJ Styles comes out and demands a title shot for tonight. Owens declines AJ’s request, and then out comes…Y-2-f*cking-J Chris Jericho.

The crowd goes bananas when Jericho’s music hits. “It’s the return of Jericho,” says Y2J. “Welcome back, maaannnnnnn.”

Owens says what Jericho is doing here. Y2J screams “quiet” at him a bunch of times. Jericho has rehabbed from his injuries, and now he’s back to get his U.S. title back! Styles interrupts Y2J and disregards his statements. Jericho thinks Styles is trying to cut in front of him for his U.S. title match, and you know what happens when someone cuts in front of Jericho for a U.S. Championship match? ……………You just made the list!”

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Baron Corbin

Both men trade shots. Nakamura gains the early advantage with a flurry of shots, with devastating elbows and kicks. Corbin rolls towards the ring apron. Shinsuke capitalizes, as he runs outside the ring and kicks Corbin in the head. Nakamura charges towards Corbin, but runs right into a huge clothesline. Corbin continues the punishment inside the ring. Corbin goes for the cover, and Nakamura kicks out at 2. Baron tosses Nakamura out of the ring and then rams his body into the barricade. Corbin picks up Nakamura and hits him in the gut with a knee. Corbin rolls back in the ring to break the referee’s 10 count. Corbin grabs Nakamura by the head and throws him into the barrier. Nakamura fights back, but Corbin kills his momentum with a spear into the barrier.

Corbin brings the action back into the ring. He continues the punishment with a hard punch to the head. Corbin claps and taunts the crowd. But Baron is too cocky and let’s Nakamura recover. Shinsuke fights back and locks Baron into a crazy-looking submission hold. Corbin picks up Nakamura in attempt to counter the hold. But Shinsuke remains locked around Corbin’s head. Baron slams Nakamura to the mat and breaks free. Corbin locks Nakamura into a stretching submission.

Shinsuke fights out of the submission, but Corbin quickly crushes his momentum. Baron is picking apart Nakamura piece by piece. He mocks and mimics Nakamura’s signature taunt. Nakamura tries to turn the tide, but ends up eating a Deep Six slam by Baron Corbin. Baron goes for the cover. 1…2…kick out!

Baron looks like he can’t believe Nakamura kicked out. Corbin tries to put away Nakamura with an End of Days. But Shinsuke counters, takes out Nakmaura’s knee and then kicks him in the back of the head. Shinsuke finishes the job with a Kinshasa kick.

Charlotte gets the tag and she kicks ass. Tamina hits a superkick on Flair and that only knocks her down to one knee. Lana gets the tag, but eats a big boot from Charlotte. The Queen for the win.

We see footage from Sunday’s Battleground pay-per-view. Former World Heavyweight Champion The Great Khali interferes by choking Orton through the cage. This allows Mahal to scale the cage to victory.

Mahal’s music hits. He comes out with The Singh Brothers to boast about his win. Jinder speaks in his native language of Punjab, but is interrupted by John Cena!

Jinder thinks Cena is out to devalue his win and talk about the interference of Khali and the Singh Brothers in his matches. But no, Cena wasn’t thinking that at all. John wants to congratulate Mahal. Jinder looks pleased. But there’s one catch…Cena wants a match at SummerSlam. Super Cena wants to become a 16-time World Champion. Cena is hyped, bro.

Next week, it will John Cena vs. Shinsuke Nakamura and the winner will face Jinder Mahal for the WWE World Champion at SummerSlam.

Aiden English & Michael Kanellis vs. Sami Zayn & Tye Dillinger

Aiden starts off this segment with a song. Tye begins this match by fighting off English. During the break, English capitalizes off of a Maria Kanellis distraction by kicking Sami Zayn in the head. Mike gets the tag and takes out Zayn with a big boot. Both English and Kanellis take turns stomping on Zayn.

Sami turns the tide and takes out English. Aiden is sent sailing through the ropes. English storms the ring, but Dillinger gets the tag and goes on the attack. Tye hits a back-drop on Aiden. Kanellis gets the tag, but Dillinger knocks him to the ground. Tye sends Michael into the corner and then hits him with a flurry of ring hands as the audience counts along. English turns to mount a comeback, but Dillinger takes him to the mat.

Zayn gets tagged back into the match. He hits a Helluva Kick on English for the win.

The New Day are the new WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions are they’re out to celebrate, bae-beeeee. But they get jumped by The Usos before making their entrance. Jimmy & Jey mop the floor with Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston. Big E fights back like a bolt of lightning, but The Usos didn’t get shocked. They dropped the big man. This is The Usos Penitentiary!

Triple threat match for the WWE United States Championship: Kevin Owens (c) vs. AJ Styles vs. Chris Jericho

Styles and Jericho attacks Owens at the start of this match. They toss KO out of the ring and then brawl with one another. Styles and Jericho trade pin-fall attempts. Owens storms back in the ring to kick some serious ass. KO gets rid of Styles and then stares down his arch nemesis/frienemey “Y2J” Chris Jericho. KO blocks both a Codebreaker and a Walls of Jericho. Y2J hits a dropkick and goes for the pin. Owens quickly kicks out, but Styles kicks KO in return.

Highlights of the match include Jericho breaking up a Calf Crusher on KO by performing a Lionsault on both Styles and Owens. Another highlight includes Styles performing a flawless 450 splash on Y2J, who kicks out at the count of 2.

Towards the end of the match, KO tosses Styles out of the ring and returns his attention to Jericho. KO hits Y2J with a superkick, but amazing Jericho is still standing. Next, Owens hits a pop-up powerbomb on Jericho and goes for the pin. 1…2…kick out!

Owens looks stunned. He can’t believe Jericho had it in him to kick out of a pop-up powerbomb. KO ascends the top rope and hits a frog splash on Y2J. Styles runs in, throws Owens out of the ring, and goes for the cover on Jericho.

According to Kennesaw State University police, a student with a gun was robbed at gunpoint early Tuesday morning outside the campus residence halls.

Kennesaw State University police say the student was in the parking area loading his car when the robbers got the drop on him. The crime has students on both sides of the campus carry law expressing concern.

Calyse Callaway, a student at Kennesaw State University student, said that if it had happened to her, the result would have been the same.

“I don’t have a gun. So, if someone came up to me, I wouldn’t have a way to get away. Most I could hope for is someone comes out to help me,” Callaway told WSBTV.

“I don’t think it’ll do you much good if you don’t have your weapon out already if you’re being attacked or being assaulted,” KSU student Antwan Ward said. Ward told Petersen he isn’t a fan of the new campus carry law but admits criminals will be packing either way.

The holdup happened at the Austin Residential Complex, outside building 300. Within a couple of hours, campus police sent out an email to alert students and faculty. Police say around 3:40 a.m. Tuesday, two men pulled guns on a student who was packing up his car. The victim had a gun too, but was forced to hand it over.

Luckily, the victim wasn’t hurt, however, police say he didn’t give them a description of the robbers.

John Wick was one of the biggest cinematic surprises I’ve ever experienced. What I thought would be a totally awful B-movie starring Keanu Reeves turned out to be one of the most kickass action movies I’d seen in some time. It also took place in my home state of New Jersey, which carries some serious brownie points.

Then the sequel came out earlier this year, and while it didn’t have the shock value of the original, it was as good as any recent action movie, continuing the strong trajectory of the John Wick movies.

Well, it looks as though the undoubted success of the first two films has caused the studio that makes them, Lionsgate, to consider turning John Wick into a full blown movie universe.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lionsgate won a bidding war to pick up a female-centric script titled Ballerina which they see as a platform for a possible John Wick spin-off.

Basil Iwanyk, whose Thunder Road banner is behind the hit Wick action franchise starring Keanu Reeves, will produce Ballerina. While Lionsgate is relishing the idea of a franchise expansion, the screenwriter behind Ballerina is living out a Hollywood dream.

The deal marks the first sale for Shay Hatten, a 23-year-old scribe who idolizes Shane Black (Lethal Weapon) and is currently working as a writer’s assistant for Robert Downey Jr.’s production company, Team Downey. Hatten has been on an upward Hollywood trajectory since graduating from Loyola Marymount’s School of Film and Television in 2016. He snagged an internship at Team Downey while writing a black comedy script, Maximum King!, in his spare time, and that script led to representation at CAA and ended up on last year’s Black List and Blood List. Hatten was then upped by Downey to writer’s assistant, providing script notes and coverage on the company’s many projects while tackling what would become Ballerina on nights and weekends.

According to the report, Ballerina has been described as being in ‘the vein of La Femme Nikita, the 1990 female-centric assassin movie’ but with a more ‘pulpy, hyper-stylized bent a la Quentin Tarantino or Matthew Vaughn.’

Despite the fact that there are only eleven episodes left of Game Of Thrones, the show is currently spending a curious amount of time with Jorah Mormont, a generally minor character in the grand scheme of the show.

Mormont, of course, is the loyal friendzoned servant of Daenerys Targaryen who contracted the deadly greyscale disease as a result of being banished by Khaleesi.

However, after helping save Daenerys’ life from both the Sons of the Harpy and the Dothraki, she accepts him back to her service and orders him to go find the cure for greyscale. So off Jorah went to the Citadel, which leads us to where we are now.

In this week’s episode, right before Samwell enters Jorah’s cell to try one last desperation cure, Jorah can be seen writing a letter to his beloved Khaleesi. In the episode, the contents of his letter are obscured by shadows, but HBO has since released an HD version of the final words Jorah was ever going to say to Daenerys.

The letter reads:

“Khaleesi,

I came to the Citadel in the last hope that the maesters could treat me, as you ordered. Even with all their arts, I am beyond any cure but the grave.

I have had a longer life than I deserved, and I only wish I could’ve lived to see the world you’re going to build, standing by your side. I have loved you since the moment I met you.”

As a hopeless romantic myself, the reveal of this letter makes the scene all that more emotional, knowing that even in his final moments (or what he thought was his final moments) Jorah was thinking of Daenerys.

However, despite how endearing I find Jorah Mormont, I’m ultimately curious as to why he’s still in the show. Given that he isn’t dead yet, Jorah’s story can only go one of two ways.

The first option is that this entire subplot with Jorah and Samwell is just a misdirection and Jorah ultimately succumbs to the greyscale, which, would be a CLASSIC Thrones move.

Or, Jorah somehow survives, makes his way back to Daenerys, and dies heroically in an effort to save the life of the woman he loves. I’m leaning towards this option.

Either way, Jorah isn’t surviving until the end, I can promise you that.

President Donald Trump, the 45th President of the United States of America, has announced that he will not allow transgender people to serve in the US military.

In a series of tweets on Wednesday morning, President Donald Trump announced that the United States military has banned transgender people from serving ‘in any capacity.’

The reason is that because the military must be ‘focused on decisive and overwhelming victory ‘, they cannot be ‘burdened with the tremendous cost and disruption’ of transgender peoples.

“After consultation with my Generals and military experts, please be advised that the United States Government will not accept or allow transgender indiviuals to serve in any capacity in the US military.

Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous cost and disruption that transgender in the military would entail. Thank you.”

According to Politico, the Trump’s decision is a reversal of an Obama-era policy established in June 2016 by former Defense Secretary Ash Carter, who shifted Pentagon policy to allow transgender troops to serve openly.

Last month, Defense Secretary James Mattis announced that the Pentagon would delay his predecessor’s order through the remainder of 2017 in order to review the impact of the shift.

Ash Carter, the Defense secretary under Obama, ended the ban on transgender people serving openly in the military in 2016, but allowed for a year-long review process to allow the Pentagon to determine how it would accept new transgender recruits into the military.

On the eve of that one-year deadline, Mattis announced that he was delaying the implementation of the new policy, saying he needed more time.

“Since becoming the Secretary of Defense, I have emphasized that the Department of Defense must measure each policy decision against one critical standard: will the decision affect the readiness and lethality of the force?” Mattis said in a memo late last month. “Put another way, how will the decision affect the ability of America’s military to defend the nation? It is against this standard that I provide the following guidance on the way forward in accessing transgender individuals into the military Services.”

This ban comes after a 2016 presidential race where Trump called himself a “real friend” of the LGBT community. He also accused Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton of prioritizing “immigration policies that bring Islamic extremists” into the United States.

How Many Transgender People Serve In The US Military?

According to a 2016 study commissioned by the Defense Department, about 2,450 of the estimated 1.3 active military members are transgender, making up about just 0.1-0.5 percent.

About ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’

“Don’t ask, don’t tell” was the United States policy on military service by gays, bisexuals, and lesbians, instituted by the Clinton Administration on February 28, 1994. The controversial policy prohibited military personnel from discriminating against or harassing closeted homosexual or bisexual service members or applicants while barring openly gay, lesbian, or bisexual persons from military service.

A July 6, 2011, ruling from a federal appeals court barred further enforcement of the U.S. military’s ban on openly gay service members. President Barack Obama, Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen sent that certification to Congress on July 22, 2011, which set the end of DADT to September 20, 2011.

According to CNN, a 2016 study commissioned by the Defense Department concluded that letting transgender people serve openly would have a “minimal impact” on readiness and health care costs, largely because there are so few in the military’s 1.3 million-member force.

I’m not a big action movie guy. I cannot stand the Fast franchise (or is it the Furious franchise? And I hear they’re going to space soon?). I’m a HUGE comic book guy, and even the Marvel movies are a little too bright and poppy for me. So whenever a new attempted action franchise springs up, my expectations are low, and my desire to see it is even lower.

Then there was Kingsman: The Secret Service. I saw the trailer with the English Tom Hanks (Collin Firth), Samuel L. Jackson, and some British kid, and thought, ‘Eh, another average action movie that I’ll roast a bowl to when it’s out on HBO.’ You know what I mean? Kind of like John Wick — when trailers for that dropped, people were all like ‘f*ck Keanu Reeves’, and now here we are a couple years later, and the John Wick franchise is one of the most enjoyable in Hollywood.

But then reviews started rolling out, one thing lead to the next, and me and my fraternity brothers at Rutgers went down to the school’s theater to see what all the hype was about. Spoiler alert: it was great.

It was perfectly paced, genre-norm eschewing, consistently funny, ironic, unorthodox, action-packed, and most surprisingly, it had characters worth investing in. I know you were bummed when Harry Hart got clipped, and I know you were pumped when you heard he was coming back for the sequel (because he was that great of a character that the franchise couldn’t afford to keep him dead).

Plus, it had this scene, which pound-for-pound, can go toe-to-toe with any action scene from the past decade, whether that be a preposterous chase scene in a Fast movie, or the fantastically brutal reality of The Raid.

Well, it was only a matter of time until this soon to be legendary film moment permeated to the rest of the pop cultural zeitgeist, and the result is Family Guy, of all things, remaking the fight.
