A Lake Worth High School principal finds himself in a bit of hot water that has cost him thousands of dollars.  George Lockhart allegedly asked teachers at his school to do his son’s algebra homework. Now, Lockhart will be receiving a $21,000 pay-cut from the school.

The Palm Beach Post reports that Lockhart allegedly asked three teachers to do his son’s math homework two years ago. He originally denied the allegations to investigators, but later changed his story, telling them he was looking for someone to better tutor his son. One teacher admitted to investigators that he did the boy’s homework out of respect for Lockhart.

Lorkhart will receive a $21,000 pay cut and a demotion.

A probe was conducted into the Lake Worth “homework scandal.” Schools Superintendent Robert Avossa said that that Lockhart “misused (his) position and authority” and “compromised the integrity of the district.”

“Mr. Lockhart made some real mistakes in decision-making and lapses of judgment with his leadership on campus,” Avossa said. “But I always have to take the totality of the matter and press the bad decisions against a 27-year run where he was contributing in a very positive way.”

Ultimately, Avossa believes that the good Lockhart has done outweighs his “bad decision.”

Lockhart’s attorney, Fred Schwartz, referred to Avossa as being “very fair.”

As a side note, this dude allegedly charged students $1 to attend pep rallies. He also allegedly pressured teachers to change the grades of students. Definitely not a good look for a principal if the allegations hold weight.

Lockhart earned $96,000 last year from the tax payers. He has been demoted from principal to a manager at school district’s charter school office.

Principal Lockhart allegedly got involved with the grades of several students. He’d allegedly question teachers about these grades, sometimes ordering the teacher to change a mark entirely.

Frederick Harlowe, a social studies teacher, was told to change a B grade to an A. The student had an all-A report card besides that one blemish, and Principal Lockhart allegedly wanted Harlowe to make the report card spotless.

“I was told to go into the principal’s office, where the report card was on the table,” Harlowe told investigators. “I changed the grade to an A.”

Justine Nelson, a former middle school teacher in Fresno, California, is headed to trial after she admitted to having sex a student.

Nelson, 30, initially blamed the student for instigating the relationship. The student, who she met in the hallway of Tenaya Middle School, later outed the married Nelson by posting her nude photographs line.

On Tuesday, July 18, a judge ruled that Nelson will stand trial for allegedly engaging in sex acts with a 13-year-old boy. Nelson, who was arrested back in September 2016, was charged with multiple sex crimes.

Police said nude photos of Nelson popped up on social media, which prompted an investigation. The eighth grader who allegedly posted them didn’t even have Nelson as a teacher at Tenaya, but he told investigators she initiated their relationship in the school hallway.

From there, the relationship progressed to kissing and then more. Investigators said the boy remembered being 13 years old when they had their first sexual contact, then turning 14 before they stopped.

Nelson admitted to two or three sex acts, but told investigators the boy actually initiated it and even coerced her to do it by threatening to ruin her career and have her baby taken away.

Authorities said that Nelson admitted to ‘lapses in judgment’, including sending the boy messages about how she loved him.

If convicted, Nelson faces up to 14 years in prison. However, if prosecutors cannot prove that the student was 13 when the sex acts began, she would face only nine years.

Well, it finally happened: the fame went to Kevin Hart’s head.

Multiple celebrity tabloids are reporting Hart allegedly cheated on his PREGNANT wife Eniko Parrish while down in Miami, and if it’s true, it may spell the beginning of the end of lil’ K-Hart.

According to Inquisitr, Hart was seen canoodling with another woman outside of his Miami Beach hotel in a Lexas sedan for about around 5 AM on July 3.

Hart, 38, was even seen climbing into the passenger seat with her at one point. A source told reporters that it seemed “obvious they were up to no good” because the woman “kept looking over her shoulder,” while “Kevin was pop-eyed when another guest walked by.”

Kevin Hart had been partying at the upscale hot spot, LIV, during the “All-Star Celebrity Birthday Bash” that was thrown for the comedian’s birthday. He turned 38 on July 6 and has been on a cross-country bar crawl, partying it up while his wife, Eniko Parrish, 32, posted selfies of her growing baby bump on social media.

A representative for Kevin Hart denied any wrong-doing; however, the pictures and video clips of the comedian say otherwise.

Real bad look, and stupid move, on Hart’s part. Not only did he and Parrish just get married last August, but she is now expecting their first child together.

Social media star Jake Paul is driving his neighbors flippin’ nuts. His music video “It’s Everyday Bro” has received over 60 millions views since May 30, and it is already the tenth most disliked video on YouTube. Now, more and more people are starting to hate on Jake. And it’s the people next door who have been mashing the dislike button to the local media.

What do they have to complain about? Well, the guy attracts so many followers that some even show up by his house. A hoard of fans show up on his block, looking to hang out with Jake and watch him do crazy stunts. How did they get his address? He gave out his address online, and the Jake Paulers flocked to his home like seagulls.

Paul does a lot of crazy sh*t that pisses off the neighbors. For example: the dude lit a mattress on fire in his empty pool. One neighbor claims that Paul has brought a “war zone” to the community. Meanwhile, Jake continues to go hard.

Jake Paul later took to Twitter to make an official response regarding the media’s coverage of him being a “bad neighbor.” He thinks it’s ridiculous that the focus is on his antics, while the media should be covering “all the innocent people” who are being shot everyday. More than 40 years after John Wayne Gacy brought terror to Cook County, Illinois, authorities have identified another victim. Gacy had murdered 33 young men and boys in the Chicago area between 1972 and 1978. Now, in 2017, another body has risen to the surface.

James Byron Haakenson has been identified as the previously unknown victim #24. His decayed corpse was discovered inside a crawlspace of Gacy’s suburban Chicago home.

Authorities identified the victim by using DNA analysis. Haakenson’s brother and sister contacted authorities earlier this year, providing a DNA sample.

Haakenson was only 16 years old when he left his home in St. Paul, Minnesota, in search of a new life under the bright lights of the city. Cook County Sheriff Thomas Dart said that the boy was “in search of a different life in the big city.”

It is not known how Gacy and Haakenson met. Gacy was known for searching Chicago for young men and boys who are either gay, alone or out of work. Gacy routinely raped, tortured and murdered his prey.

Haakenson’s corpse was discovered sandwiched between two other bodies. Authorities believe that the boy died in 1976.

John Wayne Gacy was convicted of 33 murders and sentenced to death in 1980. After a shade over 14 years sitting on death row, Gacy was finally executed by the state via lethal injection.

Baltimore Police are currently investigating body-camera footage, which appear to show officer planting drugs at a crime scene. Officer Richard Pinheiro, can be seen in the video, allegedly placing drugs in the alleyway and later going back to “discover” to drugs to make his arrest.

The video was released by the city public defender’s office. The body-cam footage was originally discovered by the assistant public defender representing the unnamed defendant in the criminal case. After the tape was sent to the state’s attorney’s office last week, all charges were dropped.

An internal investigation into the matter is underway, according to police. Pinheiro and the two unnamed officers in the videos are currently being investigated by authorities.

“We take allegations like this very seriously and that’s why we launched an internal investigation into the accusations,” Baltimore Police said in a statement. “We are fortunate to have Body Worn Cameras which provide a perspective of the events as reported.”

Baltimore Police Commissioner Kevin Davis said at a press conference that the “drug planting” allegation is “very serious … that’s as serious as it gets. I take it very seriously, our Office of Professional Responsibility is investigating this matter, they’re taking it very, very seriously.”

Davis added that, “This is a serious allegation of police misconduct. There’s nothing that deteriorates the trust of any community more than thinking for one second that uniformed police officers, that police officers in general would plant evidence of crimes on citizens.”

The CONCACAF Gold Cup is into its knockout stage, and the USA is poised to make a run at the championship. After advancing through the group stage, the USA will play their quarterfinal game against El Salvador on Wednesday, July 19.

The Gold Cup is a biennial soccer tournament featuring teams in the CONCACAF jurisdiction. This includes teams from North, Central and South America. The tournament is usually held in the US, and Mexico and the US have found the most success in the tournament.

The US team tied their first game in group play against Panama but defeated Martinique and Nicaragua to advance to the knockout round.

While the US has been successful in their first few games, they have been rather unspectacular. To try to put a jolt into the team, head coach Bruce Arena is making some roster changes.

Experienced players like Tim Howard, Jozy Altidore, Michael Bradley and Clint Dempsey are getting added to the team along with Jesse Gonzalez and Darlington Nagbe. The new players will be replacing Alejandro Bedoya, Brad Guzan, Sean Johnson, Kelyn Rowe, Cristian Roldan and Dom Dwyer.

While the departing players had their moments for the US, the influx of experience should be an added boost to the US team and propel them forward in the championship. It will be interesting to see how team chemistry develops during the quarterfinal game against El Salvador.

Senator John McCain has been diagnosed with brain cancer.

McCain, 80, was diagnosed with a primary glioblastoma, which is a type of brain tumor.

The Arizona Senator underwent surgery to remove a blood clot on Friday, July 14, at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona.

Lab results from that surgery confirmed the presence of brain cancer associated with the blood clot.

Glioblastoma is a particularly aggressive tumor that forms in the tissue of the brain and spinal cord, according to the American Brain Tumor Association.

A pathologist was in the operating room during the procedure, a minimally invasive craniotomy with an eyebrow incision, said his doctor, who added that the surgery lasted about three to four hours. Post-surgical brain scans show the tissue causing concern has been completely removed.

According to a statement from McCain’s office, the Senator and former Presidential candidate is recovering “amazingly well.”

Jorge Jove, a 64-year-old retired Miami-Dade firefighter took, shot out the trucks of a truck as he tried to get AT&T workers to remove their truck from his property.

According to Hialeah Police, the AT&T utility employees were working on lines near a home located near the corner of Southeast Fifth Place and Sixth Avenue when Jove approached them around 11 AM on Wednesday, July 19.

Police said the AT&T employees told Jove they would move the vehicle as soon as they were done with repairs. However, Jove seemed to be unsatisfied with that response, as he came back out a few moments later with a gun and started firing his weapon at both the AT&T trucks.

Cellphone video captures the gun-toting homeowner as he circled the trucks and opened fire. “There’s a guy shooting out my tires. There’s a guy shooting out my tires,” the employee is heard telling police in cellphone video of the incident, followed by audio of air hissing out of the tires.

The worker who recorded the video then called 911 asking for help as Jove continued reloading a second and third time. Meanwhile, a second AT&T employee was up in the air working on one of the poles.

The footage also shows Jove taking aim at one of the trucks’ engines. “He flattened their tires, he shot into the bodies of the trucks, he shot at one of the radiators of the trucks,” said Zogby. “We’re trying to determine now whether he was actually intentionally trying to shoot the workers or just shoot the vehicles.”

In total, police said that Jove fired 18 shots. Luckily, injuries were reported.

Jove was taken into custody and questioned, although no word on if he’s been officially charged. The investigation is ongoing at this time.

AT&T released a statement on the incident:

“We’re grateful nobody was hurt, and we’re working with law enforcement in their investigation. Because there’s an active investigation, I need to refer you to them for any questions.”

Marc Dione, a 22-year-old Lyft driver, was caught on camera grabbing a dog out of a car and throwing it into a street during a road-rage fight in New Jersey. Dione is now facing charges of animal cruelty.

Dione, 22, of Montclair, New Jersey, was identified as the man who seen on video allegedly grabbing the dog and throwing it out onto the sidewalk.

The New Jersey SPCA Humane Police have now filed criminal and civil animal cruelty charges against him.

Gary and Linda Kaey claim Dionne had been weaving in and out of traffic on Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair for a half-mile before getting stuck at a bus stop and getting out of his car in a rage.

“He was upset about the stopping bus in front of him, jumped out on our hood, stomped on the hood,” Linda said.

That’s when another driver started recording Kaey and Dionne out in the road throwing punches before Kaey headed back to his mini-van. Dionne can then be seen reaching into the passenger’s side of the van, grabbing Kaey’s 12-year-old dog Daphna, and flinging her nearly 30 ft in the air.

“Obviously he couldn’t get the best of me, so he chose to take an innocent animal and try to hurt me with that,” Kaey said.

After the video began to go viral, the NJSPCA began investigating the incident. In the clip, Dione could be seen reaching into the backseat of the Kaey’s car to pick up his 12-year-old miniature pinscher, Daphne.

‘Despite some bruises and stress resulting from this traumatic event, Daphne is recovering well,’ the NJSPCA said in a statement.

Lyft released a statement condemning Dione’s actions:

“We are shocked and horrified by what we saw in this video,” a Lyft spokeswoman said. “While this did not happen on the Lyft platform, we permanently deactivated the individual after learning of his truly cruel behavior; he will never again be able to use Lyft. We are relieved to hear that Daphne is recovering well.”

In light of the video, Lyft permanently deactivated the account Dione.

Alcohol culture is a little upside down these days.

Zima, the lightly carbonated alcoholic beverage introduced by the Coors Brewing Company in 1993 is back. Icing people with Smirnoff Ice is back. You can buy ‘to-go’ cups of wine.

Yet, despite all this, beer still reigns supreme, according to a new Gallup Poll.

After collecting data from a random sample of 1,021 American adults, Gallup found that Americans who drink alcohol continue most often choose beer, with 40% choosing beer, 30% choosing wine, and 26% choosing liquor (26%).

The latest results are from a July 5-9 update of Gallup’s annual Consumption Habits poll. Gallup has found that beer is most popular among men; this year, 62% of male drinkers say they prefer beer, compared with 19% of female drinkers. Less-educated and middle-incomeAmericans also tend to choose beer.

For the past two decades, at least three in 10 drinkers have said they prefer wine, peaking at 39% in 2005. Wine was slightly less popular in the early to mid-1990s. Women are significantly more likely than men to prefer wine, at 50% vs. 11%, respectively. This beverage is also preferred more among college-educated adults.

The 26% of drinkers who name liquor as their beverage of choice is the highest in Gallup’s 25-year trend, but similar to the 24% recorded in 2004. The percentage naming liquor has typically been closer to 20%. Future measurements will help determine whether the current figure marks the beginning of a trend toward an increased preference for liquor.

With over 5,000 breweries in the United States, it seems as though beer’s longtime stranglehold on American drinking culture is going nowhere fast.

We’re just about three months away from the long awaited release of Strangers Things 2, and yet fans have only been given glimpses here and there, as Netflix has yet to release a fully trailer for the sci-fi ‘sequel.’

With San Diego Comic Con beginning today, odds are that the first trailer for the highly anticipated second season drops sometime over the weekend.

Little is known about the plot of the second season, we do know that all five kids — Eleven included — will be returning. We also know that the stakes will be much, much higher in this second season.

Matt and Ross Duffer, the creators of Netflix’s smash hit series Stranger Things, recently sat down with Variety and had some interesting thins to say about the upcoming second season.

The duo have just returned from Atlanta, where they were filming season two, which they assure is “big in scope.” Both of them acknowledged the pressure in delivering a satisfying sophomore run after the first season emerged as last summer’s breakout series.

“There was pressure going into Season 1, too,” Ross said. “We were just worried no one was going to watch it. Now the pressure is we know people are going to watch it. Matt added, “A lot of the story for Season 2 was figured before the show had come out, so we had the big beats figured out already. It was almost scarier last year.”

It will be interesting to see exactly what changes the Duffers make going into seasons 2.

Cathy Naff, the wife of a Virginia police officer, took to Facebook to claim that her husband was denied service when he tried to buy a meal while in uniform.

According to Naff’s Facebook post, her husband, Scott, a 25-year law enforcement veteran, went to McDonald’s on Parham Road in Henrico, Virginia, at the end of his 13-hour shift on Thursday, July 13, and was allegedly denied service.

“He was in uniform and his police vehicle. He paid for his food and drove forward to the next window. The young man who was working that window looked at him and backed away from the window mouthing something to my husband,” Naff wrote on Facebook.

Naff said that the employee at the window said “I ain’t serving no police” and closed the window.

Freda Thornton, the franchise owner, said in a statement Tuesday that her restaurants are dedicated to serving all customers, “including all authority figures who protect our wildlife and natural resources.”

“We regret this situation as it goes against our standards of providing a welcoming experience to everyone, and we have taken the appropriate action to resolve this situation,” Thornton said in the statement. A spokeswoman declined to specify what actions were taken or provide further comment.

Cathy Naff said in her original Facebook post that her husband was on break about 7 p.m. Thursday when he pulled into the McDonald’s drive-thru at 8210 Brook Road. After ordering his food, Cathy Naff said, the employee told him, “I ain’t serving no police,” and closed the service window.

At the time of this writing, Naff’s post has been shared more than 3,600 times on Facebook, with more than 2,000 comments on it.

Justin Jackson, a conman, and his wife, Angel Lii Agarrat, have been arrested after Jackson posed as Adele’s manager to con NBA stars and celebrities out of expensive sneakers.

Jackson, 30, and Agarrat were arrested for multiple charges, including identity theft and organized a scheme to defraud. They were caught as the result of a police sting operation.

Jackson has a history of running cons. Last year, he pretended to be Adele’s manger Jonathan Dickins, asking athletes and celebrities to donate sneakers for a fake charity auction. Similarly, Jacksin impersonated Adele’s manager by creating a fake email account in his name. He then was able to convince the representatives for New York rapper Fabolous’s to give him two backstage passes.

Fabolous’s management eventually realized they had been defrauded, kickeding Jackson and Agarrat out of the venue.

Jackson and his wife, Angel Lii, were charged Tuesday with more than a dozen new felonies, including counts of identity theft and organized scheme to defraud. They were booked into jail on Tuesday afternoon, and their lawyers could not immediately be reached for comment.

The pair was originally arrested in May for allegedly posing as Adele’s manager, Jonathan Dickins. Miami-Dade police said the two tried to get comped tickets to see rapper Kendrick Lamar at Miami’s Rolling Loud hip-hop festival on May 6.

Miami-Dade cyber crimes detective Steven Kaufman, posing as a production manager, set up a sting, telling Jackson he could pick up the passes on Saturday at Bayfront Park, according to an arrest report.

According to police, Jackson also asked representatives for Chris Brown, Tory Lanez, Katy Perry and others if they could make birthday videos for a ‘dear friend.’ Furthermore, Jackson once created a fake email account pretending to be the manager of Lionel Messi. He also tried and failed to get free tickets for Carrie Underwood and Lauryn Hill concerts.
