Weld County Sheriff’s Office

Jerica Enriquez, a 24-year-old former Colorado teacher’s aide, has been accused of having sex with and sending explicit pictures to a 14-year-old boy. Furthermore, Enriquez is also accused of having intimate contact with a sixth-grade student.

According to court documents, Enriquez waived her right to a preliminary hearing Monday as negotiations continued with the Weld County District Attorney’s Office.

Enriquez, a former teacher’s aide at Jefferson Junior High School in Greeley, Colorado, was arrested on Sunday July 16, and charged with sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust, obscenity to a minor and enticement of a child.

Both cases originated during the time Enriquez worked as a teacher’s aide in 2015 and 2016. In 2015, according to the affidavit for her arrest, she kissed a student at Prairie Heights Middle School, and later offered to have sex with him. The boy later told police they did not actually have sex.

According to police reports, though, she did have sex with a 14-year-old Jefferson Junior High student in the fall semester of 2016, leading prosecutors to charge her with sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust. Police also say she sent a picture of herself naked to the student, as well as a picture of a negative pregnancy test.

Enriquez has yet to enter a plea in either case. Jim Merson, her attorney, said in court Monday she agreed to waive her right to a preliminary hearing so she could continue to negotiate a possible plea agreement with prosecutors. The preliminary hearing would have determined whether there was enough evidence for the case to go to trial.

Back in 2016, Ryan Reynold’s Deadpool took the world by storm.

A superhero film unlike anything that had come before it, Deadpool breathed new life into the comic book film industry with it’s comedy, self-awareness, and R rating. In fact, the original Deadpool was so hilarious, that some people consider it more of a comedy than an action film.

But despite the fact that Deadpool was one of the funniest movies of the year, the stars of it’s sequel seem to believe thatthe upcoming Deadpool 2 is actually funnier.

While appearing on Good Morning America, Josh Brolin, who stars as Cable in the upcoming sequel, said he thought the script for Deadpool 2 was funnier than the original:

“It’s not that I don’t break the fourth wall. There’s a lot of stuff going on in [Deadpool 2] that’s very surprising and that will be very satisfying when you see it. To me it’s even funnier than the first one, to me. […] I read it and I laughed harder than I’ve laughed in a very long time.”

Similarly, TJ Miller, who starred as Weasel in the first film, shared a similar sentiment, telling Screen Rant that he laughed so hard he dropped his iPad while reading the script:

“I was crying so hard laughing that I dropped an iPad in a public restaurant when I was reading the script. […] I think it might actually be funnier than the first one. I’m really, really excited.”

However, Miller was keen to insist that it’s not going to be a Hangover 2 scenario, where they do the same thing with the same people in a different location:

“It’s not going to be like Hangover 2; it’s not going to be the same movie in a different location, for instance. It’s got different stakes. Different things happen. Some pretty tragic, dark sh*t happens in the first part of the film, in the beginning, and the rest of the film is kind of dealing with that, so that’s interesting. But Weasel remains just absolutely the most selfish individual on the face of the planet.”

Deadpool 2 will be released in theaters on June 1, 2018.

Tamir Raanan and Mandy Ifrah Raanan, a New York family, are claiming that JetBlue removed them and their three small children from a flight because a fellow passenger became upset when their 1-year-old after she kicked the back of the seat.

According to the family’s attorney, David Templer, his clients, who live in Brooklyn, were heading home after attending a wedding when their 1-year-old daughter, Eden, began kicking a passenger’s seat. Templer said it was at this point that Ifrah said she apologized to the passenger, and they exchanged words before the passenger changed seats.

At this point, a flight attendant came over to Ifrah’s family and asked them to get off the plane.

In the video, the Raanan family repeatedly asks for an explanation, and the flight attendant tells them they need to call the airline for further information. This is when AaBroward Sheriff’s Office deputy stepped in to defuse the situation.

“The plane, at that point, just turns back around, goes back to the gate and security from JetBlue gets onto the flight and tells me and my family and I to grab our things and get off the plane,” Ifrah said in an interview with Local 10 News.

JetBlue said that the adults in the family were making threats, and it was their actions that caused them to be taken off the plane.

“After a verbal altercation that included physical threats and profanities against a nearby customer, the aircraft door was reopened and our airports team politely asked the customers to step off to discuss the situation,” JetBlue said in a statement. “The customers refused repeated requests and our crew members deplaned the entire aircraft. Law enforcement escorted them out of the gate area and we provided a refund.”

JetBlue said in a statement that the Raanan was “not removed due to the actions of their children.” Ifrah Raanan says she simply wants an apology from JetBlue.

JetBlue released a statement on the incident:

“After a verbal altercation that included physical threats and profanities against a nearby customer, the aircraft door was reopened and our airports team politely asked the customers to step off to discuss the situation. The customers refused repeated requests and our crewmembers deplaned the entire aircraft. Law enforcement escorted them out of the gate area and we provided a refund,” JetBlue said in a statement. “The customers were not removed due to the actions of their children. We are investigating whether the customers’ behavior warrants restrictions on JetBlue travel and we thank our crewmembers for their professional handling of this unfortunate incident.”

There has been no better case of someone transitioning from famous to infamy than what O.J. Simpson has managed to accomplish. From the star of the hit hidden camera television show Juiced to now a convicted kidnapper, the term “fall from grace” could never be more appropriate.

With Simpson’s upcoming parole hearing this July 20th, the country is wondering if we will ever see our clean cut criminal crusader ride again into another commercial for Hertz rental car company, because their future prospects for advertisements has been looking bleak since Simpson left them. If you’re as invested as I am, then ESPN has you covered as they will be airing the parole hearing for a 90-minute Outside the Lines special — this is all true — because baseball isn’t enough for them during the NBA and NFL drought.

This isn’t ESPN’s first time dabbling with Simpson as they worked closely with him during the compelling television drama “Made in America” where Simpson plays a fictionalized version of himself where he is a former NFL MVP who was then tried for the murder of his wife and her boyfriend but ended up being acquitted. America can be disgusted at the idea of giving this man anymore attention, but the ratings will still be satisfying for ESPN because we’re all just a little too nosey.

We’re going to take a trip through the gap and see how much O.J. Simpson is worth now after what Edleman would call a public relations holocaust.

1969-1978

Simpson was already heavily decorated from his time at USC so it was already a given that he was going to be the first selection by the AFL’s Buffalo Bills, back when the NFL had to learn to share players. Simpson was threatening to leave football to be the acting juggernaut he’s known for today if he didn’t receive a lucrative 5-year, $650,000 contract, which adjusted for inflation was extremely lucrative as it clocks in at $4,330,000. He eventually settled for around $350,000, which was still more than any rookie made at the time.

Simpson was not successful during his first four years of his contract and as a result, neither was his team. After two coaching changes, Simpson went on to rush for 1,000 yards in 1971, followed by breaking the 2,000-yard mark the season after during a time when the NFL only played 14 games averaging 6 yards per carry. Simpson would have three more seasons rushing for 1,000 yards and flirted with 2,000 until injuries slowed him down.

During his free time tearing up the league, Simpson was also preparing himself for life post-football. He made guest appearances in shows like Ironside, Cade’s Country, among a few others, a role in Roots, and roles in movies films like The Towering Inferno and The Klansman. Not only that but Simpson also earned his endorsement with Hertz who were reportedly paying him up to $550,000 a year, most likely because Hertz knew it’d be a bad idea to divorce O.J. Simpson.

Simpson was traded to the 49ers where he accumulated only 1,000 yards and four touchdowns. Simpson went on to leave the game of football behind for more fruitful fortunes…

1979-1993

Simpson started a new film production company, Orenthal Productions, which created four television films in the late 70’s and early 80’s all starring O.J. Simpson. Simpson’s charisma carried him through the Naked Gun trilogy and a slot as one of the hosts of Saturday Night Live.

Not only did he own a television production company, by Simpson also heavily endorsed Pioneer Chicken, even owning two franchises, which at the time was west coast Chick-Fil-A. Simpson’s second wife, Nicole-Brown Simpson, divorced O.J. Simpson.

1994-2006

Simpson ended up losing a lot in his well-documented divorce to Nicole Brown-Simpson but ended up losing more in her again, well-documented, murder. Simpson lost every avenue of income from his conviction in Brown’s murder trial, his endorsements, his pilot for NBC, and his reputation.

In order to generate enough income in order to put together what would be justified as the All Star Team of legal representation, Simpson spent most of his time in prison signing memorabilia generating up to $3 million.  Although Simpson was able to escape with his freedom, he would go on to have to pay $33 million for the death of his ex-wife and her lover, Ron Goldman in a civil suit leaving him in financial ruin.

Simpson’s Los Angeles estate went into foreclosure in 1997, was bought and immediately demolished. You would think Simpson would accept the public consensus and move forward into a quiet, secluded life. Trying to profit off of his murder trial, Simpson attempted to become New York Times best-selling author O.J. Simpson with his book “If I Did It”. The controversy was aplenty and Simpson was planning his comeback with a companion interview with FOX planned as well. The roll-out was DOA and the publishing rights were sold to the Goldman family.

One last attempt at winning over the public back, Simpson starred in a faux pay-per-view reality series where he told common civilians that they “Got Juiced” with pranks that involved selling a white Bronco with a signed bullet hole in it.

2007-2016

Sports memorabilia was always going to be Simpson backup plan for the money, so it made sense when he justifiably robbed someone at gunpoint in a Las Vegas hotel. The jury was unable to see where Simpson was coming from, finding him guilty of all twelve charges. Simpson was sentenced to 33 years in prison with a possibility of parole in nine years. A bid for a new trial was attempted but rebuked due to a lack of merit. He is currently being held at Lovelock Correctional Center in Nevada.

2017

Nine years it already has been and Simpson’s parole hearing will be July 20th exclusively on ESPN, which by the way is still a real thing. Also, a real thing is that the Sports Book has Simpson heavily favored to be granted parole with odds at -300.

With the abundance of documentaries and mini-series surrounding Simpson’s life, Jay-Z song alike. People have been making money off of Simpson, the man hasn’t seen a dime of it and it’s warranted. The man could have done a lot of good in the world with his fame and charm. The only charity this man has contributed to us is the Dave Chappelle chronicles.

Ruthie Robertson, a 22-year-old professor at Brigham Young University-Idaho, faced an unfortunate event. One’s entrance to the work world isn’t always the brightest spot in one’s life.

The Mormon-affiliated university recently fired the professor from her job after she refused to take down a Facebook post detailing her support for the LGBT community.

Robertson wrote her controversial post on her social media page on June 5 in honor of Pride Week.

In addition to her aid to the vulnerable yet growing community, she also expressed her distaste for the strict and segregated practices of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she is currently a member.

‘In honor of LGBT Pride Month, I thought I would reveal some things in the name of authenticity.

This organization has openly and forcefully opposed same-sex relationships and legalized same-sex marriage. They pushed members in California to fight against Prop 8, and had a policy claiming that same-sex relationships were a sin and discouraged individuals from participating in them,’ the post read.

Xiyue Wang, a 37-year-old graduate student studying in Iran, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for spying for U.S. and British intelligence agencies.

Wang, a 37-year-old Princeton University graduate student, was pursuing a Ph.D. in Eurasian history, studying local government in predominantly Muslim regions during the late 19th and early 20th centuries when he was arrested.

According to a statement from Princeton spokesman Daniel Day, Wang was arrested in Iran in the summer of 2016 while doing ‘scholarly research on the administrative and cultural history of the late Qajar dynasty in connection with his Ph.D. dissertation.’

Under Iranian law, a convicted person has 20 days to appeal their sentence.

Sunday, the semi-official news agency Fars News, citing a video statement from Iranian judicial spokesman Gholamhossein Mohseni-Ejheie, initially identified the convicted man’s nationality as Iranian-American. Later, Fars News, again citing Mohseni-Ejheie, said he was a citizen of the United States and a country other than Iran.

The dates of Wang’s trial have not been disclosed. He was arrested and put on trial for “gathering information,” and the sentence can be appealed, said Mohseni-Ejheie, speaking in the Fars News video statement.

Reports indicate that Wang was accused of ‘gathering confidential articles with the intention of delivering them to the State Department and Western academic institutions.’

In a statement, Princeton officials said they have been working with Wang’s family, private counsel and others to aid his release.

“We were very distressed by the charges brought against him in connection with his scholarly activities, and by his subsequent conviction and sentence,” Day said. “His family and the university are … hopeful that he will be released after his case is heard by the appellate authorities in Tehran.”

The United States State Departmreleasedsted a statement, calling for the release of Wang and all American citizens being held unjustly in Iran.

“The Iranian regime continues to detain US citizens and other foreigners on fabricated national-security-related changes,” the official said. “The safety and security of US citizens remains a top priority. All US citizens, especially dual nationals considering travel to Iran, should carefully read our latest travel warning.”

The sentencing of Wang comes nearly a year after San Diego resident Reza “Robin” Shahini was sentenced to 18 years in prison for spying in October 2016. Iran also ran sentenced Iranian-Americans Baquer Namazi and his son Siamik to 10 years in prison for “collaborating with a foreign government” in 2016.

The first episode of Game of Thrones, “Dragonstone,” opened up a lot on how the rest of the season will unfurl, providing a lot of context as to what’s going on and where people stand in their political power.

Cersei Lannister sees herself bumped to the top of the list. The death of her children is driving her mad, but we can see that she’s slowly embracing this insanity. We saw proof of that when Cersei was speaking with Jaime Lannister, who still has a good moral compass. I question if her maniacal and destructive new attitude will lay waste to any opponents who try to oppose her on her ascension upwards as she fixates on maintaining power. She made a strong presence that puts her at the top of the food chain. It’ll take a shocking turn of events for her to get knocked lower than this.

Daenerys ended last season starting a huge navy and recruiting several dragons. She looks set to engage with Cersei’s forces at some time in the near future. Her actions are speaking louder than words, and it’s clear that this upcoming battle will be one of the main focal points of this whole season. We’re looking forward to seeing the action of this season to kick off rather quickly.

We also saw Jon Snow take a commanding position in the polls after his situation with the White Walkers and some new drama between him and Sansa. We’ll have to see how this drama unfolds in future episodes to see just how important that is to the story. While not as notable as Daenerys or Cersei, he deserves a top spot at the table.

A Variety poll discovered that people who weren’t betting fans leaned towards Daenerys taking the throne; additionally, the cast of Game of Thrones are convinced that Daenerys or Tyrion will find a themselves at the height of their power. Can you tell if this is just trickery though? Is this their way of playing a game with the viewers?

Philipp Budeikin, the creator and ‘ringleader’ of the Blue Whale suicide game has been jailed in Russia for three years for inciting young people to kill themselves.

Budeikin, 22, was imprisoned by a Siberian court in the country’s first conviction of an ‘administrator’ social media death groups that prey on vulnerable teenagers.

Budeikin had previously been investigated for alleged ties to 16 different suicides in Russia.

Despite being investigated for 16 deaths, confessing to provoking 17, and having another 20 linked to the challenge itself, Budeikin was only sentenced for two attempted suicides of one 15-year-old and one 16-year-old who failed to carry out or survived their attempts. Budeikin denied reports that as many as 130 teens had followed through with the challenge, but alleged that another 28 teens were “ready” to do so.

News of Budeikin’s sentence comes just more than a week after two teen suicides in the United States were linked to the challenge. The teens, a 15-year-old from Texas and a 16-year-old from Atlanta, are believed to be two of the first-known cases of the challenge reaching the U.S.

“There are people, and there is biological waste. Those who do not represent any value for society. Who cause or will cause only harm to society,” Budeikin said. “I was cleaning our society of such people… It was necessary to distinguish normal [people] from biological rubbish.”

The online challenge began in February 2017, when the game played a role in the death of two teenagers in Russia. Yulia Konstantinova, 15, and Veronika Volkova, 16, fell to their deaths from the roof of an apartment building.

In other cases, Anna K, from Karsun, Russia, was found hanged to death, and Vilena Piven, 15, jumped from the 13th floor of a building in Mariupol, Ukraine.

The Blue Whale Challenge is a game that encourages young people to take their own lives. Administrators send instructions to players online to complete a daily task for 50 straight days up until the end of the game. To provide proof that the player completed the task, the players usually must send a photo to a “curator” or a “whale,” which is usually a much older person manipulating the player. Some of these tasks require self-mutilation.

This game originated in Russia in 2013. F57 was a name of one of these alleged cyber death groups of the VKontakte social network. In 2015, this group allegedly caused its first suicide.

Lehigh University has suspended the Kappa Sigma fraternity through July 2019 following multiple alcohol-related code of conduct violations at its frat house. The fraternity was written up for three separate incidents this spring. During one of those incidents, more than 40 students received citations for underage drinking.

On February 15, a student with a BAC level of 0.22 walked into another student’s room and vomited on the floor. When he arrived at St. Luke’s hospital, he said he drank beer and grain alcohol at the fraternity house.

The following month, on March 1, Kappa Sigma had new members carry “pledge packs.” When university police arrived, active members of the fraternity lied about the identity of a member. During this instance, police detected an odor of alcohol on an underage brother.

On April 22, more than 40 students received citations for underage drinking, with another student requiring emergency medical assistance, after an off-campus party hosted by Kappa Sigma.

The decision means the fraternity can’t use its frat house, school facilities or equipment. If students continue as an underground group, they could jeopardize or delay the fraternity’s return to campus, according to a blog run by Office of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs. The chapter can appeal the decision, and can seek approval to have its recognition restored at the end of the suspension.

Kappa Sigma’s suspension comes three months after the university issued a campus-wide message warning about excessive student drinking and increased police patrols. The university said four students nearly died after drinking excessively.

Christopher Mulvihill, an interim associate dean at Lehigh, said the dissolution was based on the fraternity’s disciplinary record and actions. The fraternity had been on deferred dissolution for the majority of the previous 18 months

The Lehigh University disciplinary committee said that fraternity members admitted to underage drinking occurred at a party and that there was also hard alcohol present.

A small helicopter carrying Shane McMahon, the son of WWE CEO Vince McMahon, made an emergency crash landing just off a New York beach.

According to the FAA says,  the Robinson R-44 helicopter with two aboard–including McMahon–landed on its pontoon skids just before 10:30 AM on Wednesday near Gilgo Beach, New York.

Neither McMahon or the pilot, Mario Regtien, was injured.

“We heard some noise, and it became very clear to me that I could no longer continue flying the helicopter,” Regtien said. “So I decided to do an auto-rotation landing in the water.”

Emergency responders, including two lifeguards, picked up the two and ferried them safety to shore. Both were wearing life jackets. NYPD Aviation and SCUBA units also responded and assisted in the rescue.

“It’s very unsettling when all the sudden you have something happen,” McMahon said. “You hear a bang, and then you start saying, ‘We’re going to do an emergency landing in the water.’ So yes, it was very unnerving. But again, Mario was super calm, which made me super calm. And we landed perfectly.”

McMahon had chartered the flight from New York City to Westhampton to visit his family, and they had taken off from the West Side Heliport. The trouble began just south of Republic Airport, while they were cruising at 1,400 feet.

The crashed helicopter was registered to “Awesome Flight LLC” of White Plains, New York.

McMahon is an American businessman and part-time professional wrestler who is a minority owner of WWE and the vice-chairman of Wecast Holdings Inc.

He is currently the on-screen commissioner of WWE’s weekly television show SmackDown Live.

The famed Swoosh logo franchise, Nike’s, eight-year partnership with the NBA starts this coming pre-season.

The unveiling of the newest and stylish jerseys stood under the spotlight on Tuesday.

The brand says its new uniform designs draw on 3D body maps of players. After analyzing these models, researchers changed the weight, fit, and construction of the jerseys. The uniforms incorporate recycled polyester, and each uses approximately 20 recycled bottles.

Elite stars took the risk of trying the harmless attire. Let’s listen to what one All-Star felt.

“The mental advantage of a quality uniform is priceless,” said Kyrie Irving via press release. “The fact that Nike listened to all of our feedback while developing the new NBA uniforms speaks volumes, I’m excited about the new fit and feel.”

Compared to the past “Home” and “Away” Adidas jerseys, Nike created four unique jerseys to be utilized alternately. Instead of the aforementioned “Home” jerseys, they will be called “Association Editions.” For the “Away” jerseys, they will instead be called “Icon Editions.” The last two are player-oriented and community-styled editions. In the beginning of the 2017-2018 season, the teams will be able to choose which jerseys to wear for home games.

Additionally, eight teams will have what Nike is calling “Classic Edition” jerseys available in the fall.

While Nike is the official outfitter of the NBA for the 2017-18 season, its Jordan Brand will provide the jerseys for the Michael Jordan-owned Charlotte Hornets.

Nike is taking over the NBA apparel deal from Adidas, which outfitted the league from 2006 until this past season. Notably, the Nike deal puts the brand’s logo on game jerseys, a first for the NBA.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is a highly-anticipated sequel to the blockbuster open-world, Western RPG Red Dead Redemption that follows a nameless gang of cowboys in a rural, aged setting of saloons and shootouts. Developed by Rockstar, the game’s release date for its platforms, PS4 and Xbox One, was delayed until Spring of 2018.

Little official information about the game has been disclosed, but we’ve collected together what we know so far.

What We Know:

The developers have also released a number of in-game screenshots to help fans cope with the delay of the release. We’ve also learned that the visually-stunning graphics of this new RPG dwarf that of the original 2010 release.

The first game was set between 1911 and 1915, and even then the modern world was still slowly breaching into the desert wastelands of the Wild West. The trailer features rickety old horse-drawn carriage and aged local stores, implying that the game could be set years or even decades before the first, like around when the Gold Rush of the 1850s took America by storm.

We also noticed that, at the very end of the trailer, the hero shot showed a gang of thugs. This could be Dutch van Der Lin’s crew, who could be at the center of the storyline. Similar to how GTA 5 played out parallel stories for each of the main characters, we may see each of these misfits playing their own role to influence the story. Now that’s detailed.

A screenshot of the map leaked on NeoGaf early last year shows some of the important locations in the game’s environment too.

This screenshot reveals caravan sites and less-populated areas in the Old West than in the original game, more evidence pointing towards the idea that this title is set before the first one was, when people were just beginning to settle in the area.

We also learned at the Take-Two telecom conference that the game will not offer VR support, according to Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnik.

Release Date:

Red Dead Redemption 2 will be coming out in Q2 of 2018 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC after Rockstar announced a delay in their development. The original release date was set to be in late 2017.

CFO Alain Martinez commented on the delay, saying “Clearly the fact that there is no Red Dead Redemption [2] is a positive for our fiscal year 2018,” he said. “This is something that we had taken into our [financial] assumptions. So the absence of that game is of course giving us a better window for the launch of some of our games.”

The fiscal Q2 sales on Ubisoft’s earning report increased 34%, largely due to the Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, the third DLC of For Honor, and the release of Rainbow Six: Siege in Hong Kong. To keep growth sustainable and steady, the game releasing in Q2 2018 allows Ubisoft to space out important announcements and game releases to prevent a lull in growth and keep investors happy.

Kevin Bradley, the sports book manager of Bovada.lv, said betting on Mayweather-McGregor has been massive already.

“We knew this fight would be big, potentially even bigger than the Super Bowl, but now we are almost certain it will be,” Bradley said. “The recent trash talking and promotional tour is only encouraging bets and at this rate we cannot even imagine how much we will take on it. One thing is for sure though, we will need Mayweather huge. A McGregor early round KO as he promised would be a potential disaster and is partly a reason we are giving a great price on Mayweather at the moment.”

Bovada released a slew of wagering possibilities, but the odds on McGregor have dropped significantly. Mayweather is down to minus-500, while McGregor is now at plus-350.

Still, odds are that McGregor loses this fight, but he’s even got Vegas believing that he’s got a real punchers chance. Enough to make the sportsbooks sweat, at least.

After The Invasion story faded out, Shane’s role on television dissipated. He returned in 2003 to feud with Kane. In 2006, he rejoined forces with his father to take on a reformed, middle-age version of D-Generation X.

In 2007, Shane assisted his father in his feud against ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley. McMahon even helped his father win the ECW Championship. Two years later, Shane O’Mac returned as a good guy. McMahon feuded with Randy Orton and his legacy stable.
