A naked man was accidentally set on fire by police after their taser hit his cigarette lighter while he was resisting arrest.

Travis L. Tingler, 32, was arrested in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, on Sunday, July 16 for allegedly standing in the street with no clothes on while also threatening people.

Police found Tingler on the 1100 block of South 25th Street near Hamilton Street, where he was reportedly threatening to kill the occupants of a house with a knife. However, when questioned by authorities, Tingler claimed he was innocent.

“I told him he couldn’t be out in the middle of the street with no clothes on,” the officer said in the report. “I asked him about his condition. I noticed he had a dazed appearance, blank stare and he sweated profusely.”

The officer suspected Tingler, who said other people were messing with him and he was calling them out, was impaired by drugs. He told the officer he could be out on the street with no clothes on, and that he didn’t have a weapon.

Tingler said he wanted to go to a home on 25th Street. Police instead handcuffed him and, finding a pair of pants on the front lawn, tried to put them on Tingler. Officers later found a pocket knife on the front porch of a nearby home in the 1100 block of 25th Street, along with coins and several cigarette butts.

Police spoke to a woman in the home, who said Tingler was dating her mother. The unidentified woman said Tingler tarted drinking alcohol three hours prior and began acting weird, saying things such as “Stay in the light and never come into the dark.”

The woman say Tingler eventually threw the glass he had been drinking from into the street and took off his clothes.

Tingler refused to get into a squad car and said he wanted to see his kids. The mother came home from work, and police used stun guns to get the man into the police car.

Police reported Tingler somehow picked up a lighter during the struggle, and when the stun gun probe hit the lighter, a combination of lighter fluid and electricity from the stun gun caused Tingler’s beard and chest hair to catch fire.

An officer tried to pat the fire off his body, and Tingler continued to fight even after the fire was put out. He then punched an officer in the face. An officer used a stun gun on him from about 6 feet away, and he then fell and hit his head hard on the pavement.

After being taken to the hospital, staff said Tingler tested positive for marijuana and had a BAC of 0.177.

Authorities are recommending charges of resisting a police officer, battery to an officer, disorderly conduct, and lewd and lascivious behavior.

And not only did our man right here, identified as Bradley Braxton, get wasted and stuff his face with a bunch of Entenmann’s, but he fell asleep in the house, too. Look, I smoked a couple of pots in my day, so I know what it’s like to gorge yourself in munchie snacks until you fall asleep. In fact, I’ve pulled that exact move. But never while I’m committing a crime. I always make sure to keep my crime and partying separate (kidding … or am I?).

The 40-year-old Oshkosh man is in the Outagamie County jail after a homeowner discovered a stranger had broken in and was sleeping naked in the bed.

According to WBAY-TV, Appleton Police were called to the 200 block of South Memorial Drive on Saturday for a report of a naked man sleeping in the victim’s bed.

Police also said the man, later identified as Bradley Braxton, had drank the homeowner’s whiskey and had eaten his muffins. Braxton also confessed to using meth.

Braxton, who already faced bail jumping charges as he was out on bond for a separate crime, is expected to be charged with burglary, damage to property, disorderly conduct, and possession of marijuana.

‘Thong Song’, which came out all the way back in 1999, has had staying power unlike most song from the era. In fact, I’d argue that literally 99% of millennials know the lyrics to the chorus of ‘Thong Song’. So, naturally,  it was only a matter of time before Sisqo and everyone else involved cashed in on a reboot/remix.

Sisqo says that while he’s been asked to do a ‘Thong Song’ remix for years, he hasn’t found the right opportunity — until now.

Saudi Arabian police have apprehended this woman who wore a mini skirt and crop top in public. She violated the kingdom’s strict conservative dress laws. Authorities were set off when a viral video of “the suspect” was released online, sparking outrage all throughout the kingdom. The video showed this young Saudi model walking around a historic site in Ushaiager, a village north of the capital city of Riyadh. This area is a hotbed of conservative tribal ideologies.

On Tuesday, Saudi Arabia’s state-run media released a statement on the arrest. The model had been arrested for “immodest clothes.”

Women in Saudi Arabia must wear long, loose robes (abayas) in public. Many also cover their face and hair with a black veil. Let’s just say, the woman in this video decided to go with a more liberal look…

Ibrahim al-Munayif, a Saudi writer who has more than 41,000 followers on Twitter, criticized the model’s viral video. He said that if people don’t obey the laws of the kingdom than society would turn to chaos. Ibrahim tweeted, “Just like we call on people to respect the laws of countries they travel to, people must also respect the laws of this country.”

Twitter user Isis Semaj-Hall had a positive take on the issue. He called for fashion equality for the masses.

Khulood has also posted a video of herself driving, as a protest towards the nation’s law that prohibits women from driving a car or any motor vehicle.

But back to the viral video at hand, local media outlets wouldn’t allow their audiences to see the model in her mini skirt and crop top. Instead, they threw a white cloth over the woman…

Abigail Bastien, a 19-year-old Johns Hopkins University student athlete, was found dead outside of her off-campus apartment building on Thursday, July 13. Authorities believe Bastien accidentally fell off the building.

According to Baltimore Police, the 19-year-old Bastien’s death appears to be the result of an accidental fall. After a preliminary investigation, police spokesman T.J. Smith said that ‘nothing in the case points towards homicide.’

‘Our early indications, based on all the evidence that we have, which includes video evidence and statements from people, is that this is an accidental death where it appears that she fell off of the building from quite a distance and died as a result of that,’ Smith said.

Bastien’s body was found on the morning of Thursday, July 13, around 8 AM outside her apartment building on the 3700 block of N. Charles Street.

At this time, Baltimore Police say they are not sure what caused Bastien to fall, or where she fell from. They are still awaiting the toxicology results from the medical examiner’s office to determine Bastien’s exact cause of death.

Smith said he did not know how Bastien is believed to have fallen, or from where in or on the building, though video surveillance and witness statements have allowed police to be “a little bit more conclusive as to what we know occurred during the period of time leading up to her death.”

Bastien’s family has not responded to requests for comment.

Johns Hopkins University released a statement mourning the death of Bastien, who was a sprinter on the university’s track and field team and a member of the Alpha Phi sorority. Bastien, who was from Sandusky, Ohio, was entering her sophomore year at Johns Hopkins, where she was majoring in molecular and cell biology. Bastien also worked in the cell biology department in the university’s School of Medicine and at THB Bagels & Deli over the summer.

Speaking to the Sandusky Register, Bastien’s coaches said the 19-year-old sprinter she ‘always had a smile on her face and loved being a student-athlete.’

Abigail is survived by her mothe, her father, her two sisters, Kaylee Bastien and Ashlyn Legando, and her two brothers, Brady and Kaden Legando.

A former middle school principal has found himself behind bars for allegedly assaulting a 12-year-old student. According to Fairfax County Police, Terrence Yarborough, 53, ordered a young girl to pick something off the floor in the cafeteria. After she said “no” twice, he allegedly responded by smack the girl on her backside. He has been charged with misdemeanor assault and battery for this incident that occurred on April 4, 2017.

Terrence Yarborough had been the principal of Carl Sandburg middle school up until the alleged”spanking incident.” He was placed on administrative leave resigned in early May (effective June 30). He provided no explanation for his resignation.

“I have been fortunate to have spent 20 years in public education, including the last seven years as your principal at Sandburg Middle School, and each day has been a truly rewarding experience,” Yarborough wrote in a letter in May. “I plan to relocate to North Carolina to be closer to my family and I am looking forward to taking some time off before exploring new career options.”

Fairfax County Public Schools did not make any comments regarding the “spanking” incident at the time of Yarborough’s resignation. But today, spokesman John Torre finally released a statement regarding the allegations against this former middle school principal:

“FCPS takes all allegations of staff misconduct very seriously. After these allegations were first referred to FCPS investigators, Mr. Yarborough was immediately placed on administrative leave on April 4, 2017. FCPS cooperated with police and child protective services during the course of the investigation. Mr. Yarborough did not return to the school and subsequently resigned from his position, effective June 30, 2017. Following due process, FCPS will pursue the revocation of his teaching and administrator licenses as appropriate, once the criminal case against him is adjudicated. FCPS is committed to ensuring that all students attend school in an environment that is respectful, safe, and where they feel a high degree of trust with the staff who serve them.”

The Dallas Cowboys are in the news again, but for all of the wrong reasons. Star running back Ezekiel Elliot was reportedly involved in an incident at a bar in Dallas last Sunday and was already in hot water over domestic violence allegations. He has not been suspended for either issue, but there are reports that a suspension could be on the way.

While no formal charges have been brought against Elliot in either case, he is putting himself in some bad situations.

These cases of poor judgment and run ins with the law are nothing new for “America’s team.” The Cowboys have had countless players arrested and suspended over the past few years and continue to have issues controlling their players. Elliot is just another Cowboy on a long list of players who may or who have faced consequences for their actions. This list extends back to 2012.

Dez Bryant (WR, Still with the team):

Bryant was arrested in July 2012 after he turned himself. His mother accused him of hitting her and he was sentenced to anger management counseling.

Josh Brent (DT, Not with the team):

Brent was charged with DUI and manslaughter in 2012 after he flipped his car and killed a teammate while driving. Brent’s BAC was .189 and he was sentenced to jail time. Brent was suspended 10 games as a result of his conviction

Jay Ratliff (DT, Not with the team):

Ratliff was arrested in 2013 for a DUI after he crashed into a truck.

Joseph Randle (RB, Not with the team):

Randle was arrested in 2014 and in 2015. In 2014 he pleaded guilty to shoplifting in which he tried to steal underwear and cologne. In 2015 he was accused of marijuana possession after a domestic disturbance, but charges were dropped. Randle received a four game suspension as a result.

Nolan Carroll (CB, With the team):

Carroll was arrested in May 2017 for a DUI.

Damien Wilson (LB, With the team):

Wilson was arrested on July 4,  2017, and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

David Irving (DE, With the team):

Irving was suspended for four games of the 2017 season for violating leagues substance abuse policies.

Greg Hardy (DL, Not with the team):

Hardy had been found guilty of assaulting his ex-girlfriend back in 2014, but the charges were eventually dropped. Hardy was picked up by the Cowboys in 2015 and served a four game suspension for the incident. He was released by the Cowboys in 2016 and arrested for cocaine possession in September 2016.

Rolando McClain (LB, Not with the team):

McClain has been suspended a number of times for substance abuse. He was suspended for four games during the 2015 season and another 10 during the 2016 season. He was then suspended indefinitely toward the end of his 2016 suspension.

Randy Gregory (DE, With the team):

Gregory is still on the Cowboys, but likely not for much longer. He was suspended during his rookie season in 2016 for all but two games for substance abuse. He was just recently suspended again for the entire 2017 season for substance abuse. In his two seasons, Gregory will have played two games. It will be a miracle if the Cowboys keep him around.

Google’s moonshot branch, Alphabet X, announced plans to continue some business applications of Google Glass’s Enterprise Edition. Only available through Google Glass partners, the Enterprise Edition promises stunning new ways to increase a business’s operational efficiency through a number of software solutions offered through the company’s partners.

Alphabet X has also quietly been working on a new device for this newest edition to give it a bigger display, a foldable design, a better processor and a more comfortable design.

This method of approaching applications for this clunky device seem much less creepy and awkward-looking than the consumer version. The consumer version has proven to be very useful for workers too, so Google’s new target audience shows promise in the future. The once popular, trendy accessory worn by fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg and Sergey Brin has reversed directions to a more practical application: blue-collar workers, doctors and managers.

The Enterprise Edition of Google Glass features a litany of new applications specially catered for three separate business industries: manufacturing, logistics and healthcare.

Companies like Ubimax and Upskill are creating productivity applications for frontline workers to improve their business operations and job performance for factories and manufacturing plants. Purchased by Boeing and GE, these software applications can be attributed to a higher work output and worker satisfaction.

Healthcare software partners, including Augmedix, allows healthcare professionals to increase their productivity by aggregating patient medical records and displaying them in easy-to-understand displays. Thanks to Google Glass, the company claims to have increased average physician productivity by 30%.

Partners:

Several large corporations have already pledged their support to the new resurgence in Glass technology, including AGCO, DHL, General Electric, and Sutter Health.

AGCO, an agricultural manufacturer and distributor, reported a 25% reduction in production time on low volume, complex assemblies. DHL, a supply chain industry leader, used Google Glass to increase operational efficiency by 15%.

A DHL associate told Google that “Glass allows us to pick faster than normal and reduces the amount of errors that can happen. It’s quite easy to learn to use. Every piece of information you need is available on one screen.”

General Electric partnered with Upskill to increase productivity and efficiency, reporting outstanding numbers across the board, including a 34% increase in the top box wiring process, according to recent company reports.

As for healthcare, Sutter Health partnered with Augmedix to help doctors collect and organize patient histories and documents so they can spend more time with the patients instead of reviewing medical records.

Dr. Teresa Nauenberg, M.D. presented a testimony about the product:

“In the past, almost a third of my day was spent with my computer; now I spend maybe just two or three minutes per patient using it.”

In the video, Khulood is seen walking around the historic village Ushaiager; an area ripe with conservative viewpoints. This village is in the Najd province, which is the birthplace of Wahhabism; a puritanical and fundamentalist branch of Sunni Islam.

Women in Saudi Arabia are required by law to wear long, loose robes (abayas) in public. Many also wear black veils over their face and hair. Khulood is an activist for women’s rights in her home country. Her video demonstrates the belief that it should be a woman’s choice to decide what she wears.

Khulood has also fought back against the Saudi law which prohibits women from driving a motor vehicle. She previously posted a video of herself driving a car on her Snapchat.

When faced with natural disaster, the internet respond with comedy (naturally). The good people on Twitter couldn’t help, but poke fun at President Donald Trump, who is now a tropical storm, apparently. Looks like someone didn’t drink their covfefe this morning.

Some are even accusing this storm of treason and ties with the Russian Government. But that’s probably just more horsesh*t, right? Right???

Maybe Tropical Storm Don is just a bit misunderstood. Maybe, we should just open up our hearts to the winds of change…

WWE World Champion Jinder Mahal kicks off SmackDown with the Punjabi Prison

Mahal’s music hits to start off tonight’s show. The WWE Champion walks down to the ring, along with the Singh Brothers. They enter cage one of the Punjabi Prison. The second bamboo cage of the prison descends down to the ring.

One of the Singh Brothers talks about the dangerous Punjabi Prison. Mahal tells everyone that they are no rules in this match. Jinder talks trash about Orton and this “hateful” country of America. Mahal starts speaking in his native language of Punjab to address “his people.”

Orton’s music hits. Here comes The Viper…

Randy thinks Mahal is either incredibly stupid or incredibly brave to want to step into a Punjabi Prison with The Viper. Orton walks down the aisle and scales the cage, with microphone in hand. Orton asks Mahal, “What are you going to do when he disgraces all 1.5 billion people of India this Sunday?”

Orton says he’ll leave Mahal’s jacked-up ass in the ring. Orton suggests that he’ll be high on top of the Punjabi Prison at Battleground, while Jinder will be looking up at a victorious viper. Randy’s music hits. He performs his signature arm pose as the audience cheers.

Jimmy Uso vs. Kofi Kingston

Both men lock it up. Kingston gains the upperhand and stomps Jimmy into the corner. Kofi sends Uso out of the ring. Kingston runs the ropes and looks like he’s about to perform a suicide dive. Kofi fakes the move, makes Uso flinch and then jumps out and takes him out. Kingston celebrates with his men, and then throws Jimmy back in the ring.

Kofi controls Uso during the commercial break. Kingston knocks Jimmy back out of the ring. Uso gives Xavier Woods a dirty look. Kofi jumps out of the ring, taking out Jimmy. Kingston jumps up on the ring apron and tries to kick Jimmy’s head off. But Uso pulls his leg, knocking Kofi to the floor.

Jimmy takes control, as he picks apart Kington in the ring. Uso traps Kofi in a headlock. Kingston fights out, but Jimmy kills his momentum. Uso reapplies the headlock, but Kingston fights out again. A kick to the face put Kofi back in his place in the Usos Penitentiary.

Uso charges towards Kingston, but gets caught with two feet to the chest. Kofi got a whole new burst of energy, taking Jimmy out with dropkicks. Kingston hits a Boom Drop. Kofi attempts a Trouble in Paradise, but gets caught. Jimmy rams Kofi into the top turnbuckle and goes for the pin. 1…2…kick out!

Kofi tries to turn the tide, but gets kicked in the jaw. Jimmy props Kingston on the turnbuckle for a suplex. Kofi drops Uso off the top rope. Meanwhile, Jimmy’s brother Jey tries to distract Kofi. But Kingston jumps anyways and hits Jey with a cross-body. Jey uses Kofi’s momentum to flip over his opponent for the final pin.

Gable is absolutely shocked about Monday’s news. Who knew that Jason Jordan is the son of Kurt Angle? Chad Gable didn’t and he was his tag team partner for two years. Gable’s world has been turned upside down. There’s no more American Alpha. What does he do now?

Michael Kanellis vs. Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn controls the opening moments of this match-up. He fights Kanellis into the corner, throwing punch after punch into the head of Michael. Kanellis is dazed and rolls out of the ring. Zayn doesn’t give Michael a moment to breath. He kicks Kanellis in the face and sends him back in the ring.

Kanellis kicks Sami in the gut and attempts to turn the tide. But Sami quickly counters and hurls Kanellis out of the ring. Zayn sends Mike into the barricade.

Both men reenter the ring. But Michael pounces first. Kanellis is hitting a grounded Sami with a series of shots. Sami fights his way back to his feets and regains control. Zayn throws Kanellis into the turnbuckle.

Maria enters the ring and stands between her husband and Zayn. Maria leaves the ring. Mike capitalizes off of a distracted Sami with a hard right hand. Kanellis hits his finishing move. Zayn is done.

Cena makes a patriotic speech. No matter all the hardships this nation has went through, the American flag was still standing. After the destruction of Pearl Harbor and 9/11, the American soldiers responded in a strong way, kicked ass, and the American Flag stood tall. Those colors don’t run because those colors kick ass.

But then out of nowhere, Rusev attacks Cena from behind. Rusev locks John in the Accolade submission hold until Cena passes out. Rusev retrieves the Bulgarian flag from the top turnbuckle and waves it proudly.

Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch

Becky surprises Charlotte, and takes control during the early moments of this match-up. Lynch takes the fight to The Queen. But Charlotte turns the tide during the break and stretches Becky’s arms in a submission hold. Becky manages to fight out, but The Queen kills her momentum.

Charlotte looks strong, but Becky has the luck of the Irish on her side. Becky turns the tide, striking Charlotte and taking The Queen down outside the ring.

Both women returns to the ring, and Charlotte gains higher ground first. Charlotte takes the fight to Becky, hitting her in the head with a hard knee. Charlotte goes for the Figure Eight, bu Becky escapes.

Becky goes after Charlotte like a bolt of lightning. Lynch hits the Becksploder on Charlotte. Becky is really hyped. She charges toward Charlotte, knocking her down with the Fire Arm. Becky goes for the cover. 1…2…kick out!

Lynch attempts a DisArmHer on Charlotte, but The Queen reverses. Charlotte attempts a Natural Selection, but Lynch tries to trap in a DisArmHer. Charlotte counters and hits a big boot. The Queen goes for the cover. 1..2…kick out.

Charlotte ascends the top rope and attempts a moonsault. Becky moves out of the way. Lynch traps Charlotte in the DisArmHer. The Queen tries everything she can to escape, but Becky has her trapped. Charlotte taps.

Becky Lynch defeats Charlotte Flair via submission

Post-Match: Charlotte shakes Becky’s hand. Tamina’s theme song hits. Lana and Tamina enter the arena. Natalya attacks Becky and Charlotte from behind. The Queen fights Nattie. But Tamina and Lana enter the ring to take out Charlotte and Becky. But tensions get high and Nattie and Tamina fight. There also appears to be a rift between Tamina and Lana. Each lady is tensely anticipating Sunday’s #1 contender fatal-five way match at Battleground.

Shinsuke Nakamura & AJ Styles vs. Kevin Owens & Baron Corbin

Baron Corbin attacks Shinsuke Nakamura during his entrance. Nakamura and Corbin brawls. Kevin Owens emerges from the back and attacks Shinsuke. AJ Styles runs up the ramp and attacks Owens. Nakamura and Styles gain the upper-hand as we go to the commercial break.

I remember when the ice cream truck would drive up on my block in Flushing, Queens. Children would circle the vehicle, longing for various treats, from Super Mario ice cream to extra sour Warheads. It was the late ’90s. Bill Clinton was president, and my tongue wasn’t yet accumulated to sucking on sour candy. A lot of the kids on my block loved Warheads. They’d get you more twisted than Monica Lewinsky going to the media…

Happy National Hotdog Day! Break out those weenies (not for Harambe this time) and put those bad boys on a grill or in a hot pot. Today is a time dedicated to the hotdog in all of us. On Wednesday, July 19, 2017, America gives thanks to this floppy meat-based product.

Nathan’s Famous hotdogs has always been a hit or miss with me. Some are tastier than a motherf*cker. Other times, it’s very much meh. And then there are days when the dog is a sad, charred mess.

My dad loves to make hotdogs. He’d boil close to a dozen of them of the stove. Within the hour, at least half the hotdogs have been consumed. And over the next few hours, the rest of the dogs stew in the stinky water. The hotdogs remain floating in the pot until someone decides to fork them out and wrap ’em in foil. They’re then tossed in the refrigerator with all the other wayward food items.

And hotdog buns don’t come cheap either. Many times my family would stick to wonder-bread to wrap around our weenies. I know that doesn’t sound right. But the struggle is real and uncensored. But anyway, it actually tastes pretty good if you toast the bread.

Try it sometime. You might like it, kid.
