Sorsor controls much of the next two rounds. Bailey Sugden fought back hard, but this fight definitely goes to Arthur Sorsor.

This has been a very, very close fight. Both men exchange plenty of shots throughout the fight. Cavalari clearly won the first two rounds. But round three clearly goes for Zhuravlev. Wimbledon 2017 Live Stream: How To Watch the Wimbledon Men’s Singles Final Online

On July 16, Roger Federer will look to win his eighth Wimbledon title and his 19th career Grand Slam title. Standing in his way is Croatian powerhouse Marin Cilic. Federer has won six of the seven previous meetings against Cilic including a phenomenal five set match in the quarterfinals of last year’s Wimbledon.

At age 35, Federer has turned back the clock on the competition and has dominated the ATP competition. To put it into perspective, Federer has won 30 of the 32 matches that he has played this year. Federer started the year with a bang and won his first Australian Open title since 2010 by defeating rival Rafael Nadal in a five set thriller. However, Federer decided to skip the clay court season entirely this season as he hoped to gain extra rest and preparation for the grass courts which is clearly his most dominant surface. Federer’s success has been due to his consistent serving and improved movement. His service is practically unbreakable while his movement and shot variety provide him with tons of break point opportunities. So far, Federer has not dropped a single set at Wimbledon and looked vastly superior over top 15 players Milos Raonic and Tomas Berdych. Overall, he looks unbeatable and is reasserting himself as the greatest tennis player of all time in the minds of tennis fans all over the world.

Federer’s opponent, Marin Cilic, should be his toughest test in Wimbledon. Cilic has looked extremely solid this season and will look to use his powerful play style to overpower Federer to pull off the upset. Cilic’s journey to the Wimbledon final has been impressive but also relatively lucky. Cilic was supposed to play Rafael Nadal in the quarterfinals and then Andy Murray in the semifinals. However, both players were upset and Cilic had the luxury of playing Gilles Muller and Sam Querrey instead. In his four set match against Querrey in the semifinals, Cilic had a ridiculous 70 winners, including 25 aces, and only 21 unforced errors. Cilic is known all over the ATP tour for his insane shot power and has used it to overpower every opponent within his path. This power resulted in a 2014 U.S. Open title where he defeated Kei Nishikori in the final. Cilic’s power can cause some serious problems for Federer and has done so in the past. If Cilic limits the amount of unforced errors and keeps his winners total high, this upset will be more likely to occur than people think.

Overall, I have to side with Federer in the contest. Federer was my pre-tournament pick to win the whole thing and I have no reason to change my pick. I think Federer will be too crafty and too quick for Cilic to handle. However, I do expect a few tiebreakers in this match and I can definitely see Cilic winning one set. My prediction is a very tight four set victory for Federer as he wins yet another Grand Slam tournament.

Honolulu High-Rise Fire: Full Story & Must-See Details

Dozens of firefighters are battling a giant blaze in a Honolulu high-rise apartment building. So far, three people have been confirmed dead in a fire that has rippled through the high-rise.

The blaze began on the 26th floor of the Marco Polo apartments, but the fire has spread far and wide. The fire has already spread to the 27th floor and beyond.

They’re reports of people trapped inside their apartments, while the building still burns.

Paramedics have already tended to several victims of the fire. Two burn victims were sent to the hospital, where they are in serious, yet stable condition.

Troy Yasuda, a man who lives across the street, said that “They were choking from the smoke,” and that people have evacuated through dark stairwells in order to escape the burning building. Yasuda reportedly handed out water to the victims escaping the fire.

Police picked up megaphones and yelled for people still in the building to come out immediately.

“It’s been an orderly evacuation,” said security guard Leonard Rosa. He reported police and firefighters going door to door to evacuate people from the 31-story building.

The Marco Polo high-rise has 568 apartments and four commercial spaces. But on Friday, this building was under siege with fire enveloping its upper portion.

Two hours into the blaze, and the flames are already reaching the 28th floor. The fire was growing by the second. “People are getting kind of nervous now,” said Marco Polo resident Aaron Dengler. “It’s worrisome.”

Fourth-floor resident Aaron Dengler and his wife reportedly showed their good Samaritan side during the fire. They assisted their elderly neighbor by helping her get to an aid station the American Red Cross has positioned in a nearby park. Dengler said, “It doesn’t help to just stand and watch.”

Maryam Mirzakhani passed away today at 40-years-old. The Stanford University math professor was the first woman to ever win the prestigious Fields Medal, and we’ve got the latest report on the sad news.

Cause of Death

Mirzakhani was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013, and after fiercely batting this horrible disease for four years, she died on July 15, 2017. She is survived by her husband Jan Vondrák and their daughter Anahita.

Career

Mirzakhani was born in Tehran, Iran on May 3, 1977, and she quickly displayed an amazing talent for math. She won two gold medals at the International Mathematical Olympiad, bringing home the top honors in 1994 and 1995.

In 1999, Mirzakhani earned a bachelor of science degree in mathematics from the Sharif University of Technology in Tehran. She would then head to the United States for her graduate studies, completing her PhD at Harvard University in 2004.

Mirzakhani’s biggest acclomplishment came in 2014, as she became the first woman to ever win the Fields Medal for her work on complex geometry and dynamical systems. The award is only given out every four years to between two and four mathematicians under 40.

Rest in peace, Maryam.

Golf Pong Is Apparently A Thing, And Unsurprisingly, Justin Timberlake Is Amazing At It

SB Nation

Justin Timberlake is currently playing in the American Century Championship, as the celebrity golf tournament is running from July 14 through July 16 at the Edgewood Golf Club in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.

On Friday, Timberlake took a little breather from the competition to play a friendly game of golf pong. Watch the 36-year-old put on a chipping clinic in the video below.

Surprise, surprise, it looks like we found another thing that Justin Timberlake is good at. Golf pong, singing, dancing, acting, having a smoking hot wife, etc. The list goes on and on. Timberlake makes dual-threat superstars seem like lazy, no-talent chumps.

Golf pong also looks like a blast for the record. I’ve never seen it before today, but I’m dying to get in on the action. It reminds me of a more intense version of Chippo, so if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to start grabbing the necessary gear and practicing the very applicable Gus Johnson call.

Garbine Muguruza bested Venus Williams in the finals at Wimbledon today, winning 7-5, 6-0 in front of a packed crowd. It was her first ever Wimbledon championship and her second Grand Slam title, as she had previously won the 2016 French Open.

Garbine was the underdog coming into today’s match, as she was the 14-seed and Venus was the 10-seed. Williams was going for her seventh Wimbledon victory and her eighth Grand Slam title, but Garbine would not be denied. The 23-year-old from Spain made some impressive history today, becoming the first person to ever beat both Venus and Serena in a Grand Slam final.

As per usual, Venus was all class in her post-match interview. Watch her handle herself like a consummate professional in the video below.

Be sure to watch the men’s finals between Roger Federer and Marin Cilic on Sunday. And because Garbine is insanely attractive in addition to being the newest Wimbledon champion, here are some of her hottest photos.

Venus Williams is a professional tennis player from Lynwood, California. Venus was born on June 17, 1980, and she is the older sister of Serena Williams. These two sisters have dominated the courts since bursting onto the scene, winning tons of Grand Slams and Olympic medals in both singles and doubles events.

Venus made her pro debut at just 14-years-old, playing her first match on October 31, 1994. It wasn’t long until she started having success, as she ended the 1997 season ranked as the 22nd player in the world. Venus won her first Grand Slam titles in 1998, taking down both the Australian Open and French Open in mixed doubles.

In 1999, Venus won two Grand Slam titles with Serena as her doubles partner, as the dynamic duo crushed the competition at the French Open and US Open. Venus had arguably the most successful year of her illustrious career in 2000, winning singles titles at Wimbledon and the US Open, a gold medal in singles, a gold medal in doubles, and a doubles title at Wimbledon.

As of this writing, Venus has won seven Grand Slam singles titles, with five of her victories coming at Wimbledon (2000, 2001, 2005, 2007, and 2008) and two at the US Open (2000 and 2001). Venus and Serena have also combined to win a whopping 14 Grand Slam titles and three Olympic gold medals in doubles.

Venus has been ranked the number one player in the world by the World Tennis Association on three separate occasions, and she is truly one of the all-time greats to ever pick up a racket.

Robert Farmer Sentenced To 16 Years In Jail For Torturing & Killing 18 Cats

Newsweek

On Friday, 26-year-old Robert Farmer of San Jose, California was sentenced to 16 years in county jail for committing absolutely horrific crimes. Farmer was charged with 21 counts of felony animal cruelty for stealing, torturing, and killing 18 cats and injuring three others.

Via Newsweek, here are more details on the sickening acts of violence that Farmer carried out in 2015.

Several blood stains were found in Farmer’s car, as well as the remains of one of the cats, when he was arrested in October, 2015. Police subsequently determined that he had killed 18 animals in the gruesome two-month spree.

A necropsy showed that at least one of the cats died of blunt force trauma and may have been sexually abused.

Farmer will not have to register as a sex offender as Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Sharon A. Chatman concluded that there was not sufficient evidence that Farmer had sexually abused the animal, reported the Mercury.

He pleaded guilty to 21 counts of felony animal cruelty in October, 2016, reported SFGate.

Farmer’s lawyer tried to blame Farmer’s inexcusable behavior on him being high as a kite on meth, but thankfully, the judge didn’t buy it. 16 years was the maximum sentence that she could have handed out, and I think we can all agree that Farmer deserves every single day of it.

Vito “Babe” Parilli passed away today at 87-years-old. The former NFL, AFL, and CFL quarterback was a member of the 1960s All-Decade Team, and we’ve got the latest report on the sad news.

Cause of Death

Presently, not much is known about Parilli’s death. It’s presumed that he simply passed away of old age.

Career

Babe was born and raised in Rochester, Pennsylvania, and he played his college ball at the University of Kentucky under Bear Bryant. In both 1950 and 1951, Parilli was named an All-American and a Heisman Trophy finalist.

Parilli was taken fourth overall in the 1952 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers, but he didn’t find much success in the league. After two underwhelming seasons with the Packers, Babe left to play for the Ottawa Rough Riders in the CFL. He bounced around Ottawa, Green Bay, and Cleveland throughout the 1950s before ultimately settling in the AFL.

Babe had an uneventful first season in the AFL as a member of Oakland Raiders, but he really hit his stride when he was traded to the Boston Patriots. He played with the Patriots from 1961-1967, making three All-Star teams along the way. In 1964, Babe threw 31 touchdown passes, which was the franchise record until Tom Brady threw 50 in 2007.

Via NFL.com, here’s more accolades from Parilli’s remarkable career.

Parilli currently sits fourth on New England’s all-time career passing list with 16,747 yards and fourth with 132 touchdown passes on 2,413 attempts. He was voted into the Patriots Hall of Fame in 1993.

As a member of the New York Jets in 1968, Parilli backed up Joe Namath during Gang Green’s Super Bowl run, throwing for 401 yards and five touchdowns during the campaign.

Rest in peace, Babe.

Disney Movie Trailers’ YouTube

At the D23 Expo today, Disney debuted the first official teaser trailer for their upcoming film A Wrinkle in Time. Some of the big-time actors that will appear in the film are Storm Reid, Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, Chris Pine, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Michael Peña, and Zach Galifianakis.

A Wrinkle in Time was directed by Ava DuVernay, who previously wowed critics and fans alike with her 2014 film Selma. And in case you somehow haven’t already been sold on this movie, its screenplay was written by Jennifer Lee of Wreck-It Ralph, Frozen, and Zootopia fame.

Now that the stage has been set, check out the first trailer for A Wrinkle in Time in the video below.

Shut up and take my money! A Wrinkle in Time looks absolutely incredible, and I’m already counting down the days until March 9, 2018. The only thing faster than light is the darkness, and there is nothing doper than a “Sweet Dreams” remix.

Will Smith To Play Genie In Live-Action Remake Of ‘Aladdin’

All sorts of bombshells are being dropped left and right at the D23 Expo today, and I’m failing to keep up with all of the latest news like Lucy trying to work at the chocolate factory. Disney has revealed new information about their Marvel Cinematic Universe, Star Wars, The Lion King, Mary Poppins, Dumbo, Jungle Cruise, A Wrinkle in Time, and everything in-between. For movie buffs, it’s been a great day to monitor the trending topics on Twitter like a hawk.

If there’s been one development worthy of a blog post, though, it’s the report that Will Smith will play the Genie in the upcoming live-action remake of Aladdin. That’s right, folks. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air himself will be cracking jokes and granting wishes in this new spin on the 1992 classic.

Smith obviously has some gigantic shoes to fill, as the late, great Robin Williams was nothing short of transcendent in his portrayal of the Genie. I’m not sure that Smith will be able to pull it off, but I’m still excited to see what he’ll do with this amazing opportunity.

Besides Smith as the Genie, Mena Massaud will play Aladdin, Naomi Scott will take on the role of Princess Jasmine, and Guy Ritchie will direct. It’s a whole new world, indeed.

Aaron’s party got a little out of hand on Saturday, as the 29-year-old pop singer was arrested in Georgia. Carter was driving to his concert in Kansas City, Missouri when he was pulled over by Habersham County police. According to Entertainment Tonight, Carter was arrested on charges of DUI refusal, possession of marijuana less than one ounce, and possession of drug-related objects.

Carter’s girlfriend Madison Parker was riding in the car with Aaron, and she was also arrested by police. ABC News has reported that she’s been charged with possession of marijuana less than one ounce, obstruction of law enforcement officers, and possession of drug-related objects. Talk about a ride or die chick.

Carter was supposed to play a gig with Flo Rida at Kansas City Live!, which sounds like the worst live music experience of all-time. Carter was obviously unable to make the concert, so his Twitter account relayed the following message to his fans.

I love how Carter’s reps called him getting getting plastered and driving a vehicle “transportation issues.” What a crock of shit. Beating Shaq in a game of one-on-one and having a social media team to spin a DUI arrest. Is there anything this man can’t do???

Madison Parker is unfortunately in the news for all the wrong reasons today. She is the girlfriend of pop singer Aaron Carter, and the couple got into some trouble with the law on Saturday, July 15. With Parker riding in the passenger seat, Carter was driving to his concert in Kansas City, Missouri when their vehicle was pulled over by Habersham County police in Georgia.

Carter was arrested on charges of DUI refusal, possession of marijuana less than one ounce, and possession of drug-related objects, while Parker was booked for possession of marijuana less than one ounce, obstruction of law enforcement officers, and possession of drug-related objects.

According to Heavy, Madison and Aaron started dating in late 2016. Parker is also an artist, but unlike Carter, her medium is photography. She is a professional freelance beauty photographer, and she has a website entitled Madpics. Via Madison’s website, here’s more information on her passion for photography.

Madison Parker AKA Madpics, is based in Los Angeles. She graduated from the Academy Of Art University with a BFA in Photography. She has mentored under photographers such as Art Streiber, Mark Leibowitz and David LaChapelle. Currently seeking representation.

Roger Federer Defeats Marin Cilic To Win Wimbledon For 8th Time

Roger Federer made history today, beating Marin Cilic 6-3, 6-1, 6-4 in the finals to win Wimbledon for the eighth time. He now holds the record for most men’s singles titles at Wimbledon, as he broke his tie with seven-time winners Pete Sampras (Open Era) and William Renshaw (Amateur Era). According to ESPN, he also became the oldest player to ever win Wimbledon.

Federer was absolutely dominant throughout the whole tournament, as he didn’t lose a single set. He became the first man to pull off this amazing feat at Wimbledon since Bjorn Borg in 1976.

At 35-years-old, Federer continues to defy conventional expectations with his unreal play. In 2017, he’s now won both Wimbledon and the Australian Open, giving him a whopping 19 Grand Slam singles titles for his career. That insane number is the all-time record for a male tennis player, and it’s extremely hard to imagine somebody being able to top it.

BBC’s Twitter

After tons of secrecy and lots of speculation, it’s finally been reported that Jodie Whittaker is the new Doctor Who. She will be the Thirteenth Doctor in the beloved British science-fiction television series, and more importantly, Jodie will be the first woman to ever take on the lead role.

Watch BBC announce the big news in the video below.

Whittaker is replacing Peter Capaldi, who played the Twelfth Doctor from Christmas 2013 to Christmas 2017. Doctor Who premiered all the way back in 1963, making it pretty damn amazing that the show is still so popular.

Jodie is from Skelmanthorpe, West Yorkshire, England, and she is 35-years-old. Some of her most notable roles up to this point in her career have been as Jessie in Venus (2006), Beverly in St Trinian’s (2007), Louise Evans in Wired (2008), Samantha Adams in Attack the Block (2011), Ruth Bowen in Marchlands (2011), Ffion in Black Mirror (2011), Beth Latimer in Broadchurch (2013-2017), Sandra Grimes in The Assets (2014), and Trish Tooley in The Smoke (2014).

Cody Latimer’s Facebook

Video has emerged of Denver Broncos wide receiver Cody Latimer getting into a fight outside of Diamonds Cabaret in Dayton, Ohio. The incident took place back in February, but for whatever reason, the footage hasn’t appeared on the internet until now. The police were never called, and there is currently no investigation taking place.

According to TMZ Sports, the 24-year-old got into an argument with a bouncer over the strip club’s dress code and cooler heads did not prevail. Watch Latimer get pepper sprayed and his uncle get absolutely dropped in the video below.

Goddamn, the Broncos need to cut Latimer and pick up that bouncer! Despite being selected in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft, Cody has caught a grand total of 16 passes for 158 yards and one touchdown over the first three years of his career.

While Latimer royally sucks, that bouncer is a bonafide playmaker. He lit up Latimer with pepper spray AND drilled his uncle with a huge haymaker in a matter of seconds. Talk about keeping your head on a swivel.

O.J. Simpson has been incarcerated since 2008, and many legal pundits think that he will be granted parole at his upcoming hearing. Luckily for people that are still fascinated by this scumbag, you will be able to watch all of the action live on television.

Simpson’s parole hearing is scheduled for Thursday, July 20 at 1:00 p.m. ET, and the proceedings will be broadcast live by several networks including ESPN. Via Yahoo, here are more details on the hearing.

Understandably, the Nevada Board of Parole Commissioners stated that there has been “overwhelming media and public interest” in Simpson’s possible parole.

ESPN’s Jeremy Schaap will anchor a special 90 minute “Outside the Lines” on Thursday about the events surrounding the hearing. Earlier this year, the network won its first Oscar for the highly-accalimed “30 for 30” event series, “O.J.: Made in America,” directed by Ezra Edelman.

The hearing will be streamed from the Lovelock Correction Center, where Simpson has been a resident since 2008. The former football star was sentenced to nine to 33 years for armed robbery and kidnapping following a scheme to break into a room at the Palace Station hotel in Las Vegas to steal sports memorabilia.

The earliest Simpson can be released is October of 2017, which is obviously right in the heart of football season. With all the money they’re making off of O.J., ESPN is probably thinking about giving him his own fantasy football show. I can already hear the promo now, “The Juice is loose, and he’s got the sleepers for you to murder the opposition!!!”
