Big news for all you Wizarding World of Harry Potter fans out there (which, let’s be honest, is most of us). The sequel to J.K. Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them has begun filming in the U.K. Principal photography of the as-of-yet untitled next installment began at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden outside London, where the Harry Potter films were shot. Huzzah!

More importantly, the studio let everyone in on a few new key plot details of the upcoming sequel, which will feature Eddie Redmayne’s return as Newt Scamander as he and others take on Gellert Grindelwal, the last-minute villain played by Johnny Depp.

It was previously announced that Jude Law would join the cast as a young Dumbledor, which is pretty cool. The sequel will take place in 1920s Paris, shortly after Scamander’s capture of Grindelwald at the end of the first movie.

But, you came for the new plot details, not a recap of the first movie. Per Warner Bros.:

“Grindelwald has made a dramatic escape and has been gathering more followers to his cause – elevating wizards above all non-magical beings. The only one who might be able to stop him is the wizard he once called his dearest friend, Albus Dumbledore. But Dumbledore will need help from the wizard who had thwarted Grindelwald once before, his former student Newt Scamander.”

Interesting. Dumbledore’s duel with Grindelwald is considered one of the most epic magical duels in the entire Wizarding world, so it will be pretty badass to (hopefully) see that on screen.

Other returning characters include: Tina (Katherine Waterston), Queenie (Alison Sudol) and Jacob (Dan Fogler). However, their attempt to stop Grindelwald will “test their loyalties as they face new perils in an increasingly dangerous and divided wizarding world.” Warner Bros. said. Callum Turner also comes back as Newt’s brother Theseus Scamander, and Credence, whose fate was unknown at the end of the first move, makes a return, played again by Ezra Miller.

Zoe Kravitz will be joining the cast as Leta Lestrange, who was seen briefly in the first film.

Though Fantastic Beasts received mixed reviews, it did pull in more than $800 million at the worldwide box office. The sequel, expected to drop in November 2018, will be the second film in a planned five-picture franchise.

Sophie Turner was just 12-years-old when she initially auditioned for HBO’s Game of Thrones. She was just 15 when her role as Sansa Stark finally hit the small screen. That’s young. Really, if you think about, her and some of the other younger actors on the show have grown up right before our eyes. That’s an interesting experience, going through adolescence on one of the most violent and sexually provocative TV series of all time.

According to Turner, this experience forced her to mature quicker and learn about some very adult-oriented life lessons early on.

Speaking with The Sunday Times, Turner said that Game of Thrones became her “sex education.”

“I’d be doing a read-through and we’d be talking about very graphic stuff. The first time I ever found out about oral sex was from reading the script. I was 13. I I was like … ‘Wow! People do that? That’s fascinating!’ I guess that was my sex education. Being on ‘Game of Thrones.’”

The now 21-year-old actress also took time in the interview to address the criticisms the show has received for its treatment of female characters and the controversial sexual assault scene from season 5.

“Sexual assault wasn’t something that had affected me or anybody I knew, so I was pretty blasé about the whole thing. Naively so. And then I shot the scene, and in the aftermath there was this huge uproar that we would depict something like that on television. My first response was like, ‘maybe we shouldn’t have put that on screen at all.’ The more we talk about sexual assault the better, and screw the people who are saying we shouldn’t be putting this on TV and screw the people who are saying they’re going to boycott the show because of it. This sort of thing used to happen and it continues to happen now, and if we treat it as such a taboo and precious subject, then how are people going to have the strength to come out and feel comfortable saying that this has happened to them?”

Say what you want about the show’s depiction of female characters, but there’s no denying that Sansa and many others (Daenerys, Cersei, Arya, etc.) represent some of the strongest characters on TV regardless of gender.

Nyadak “Duckie” Thot (yes, her last name really is thot) is a 21-year-old Australian model who literally looks like a human Barbie doll. It’s crazy.

Thot (lol, her last name is thot!) first started making a name for herself as a 17-year-old contestant on Australia’s Next Top Model. After sharing a Barbie-like photo of herself on Twitter last week, her name is once again in the news.

The striking young model has smooth features similar to that of a Barbie doll. Yes, Thot has a naturally gorgeous face. But sometimes at quick glance, she almost appears to be a real life doll.

“I won’t believe she’s real until I see her in person,” one Twitter user wrote in reply. Yeah, we need to Turing test this Thot ASAP!

None of the comments seemed to bother “Duckie,” though. She responded by posting a disheveled looking Barbie with the caption, “I’m not perfect. Sometimes, a girl slips.”

Well played.

Thot was on Australia’s Next Top Model cycle eight (what?). Since then, she has moved to New York where she is represented by the New York Models agency. She has spoken before of her hope to give black women more representation in the modeling industry.

“It wasn’t easy for me growing up and not having any type of role model out in Australia,” she told Teen Vogue last year.

“So, I was super persistent until I got my foot in the door and did work. Then, I came straight here because [in Australia], there’s a true lack of representation in the industry and I felt that personally as a child. It’s not fun to feel that.

“So my driving force is that hopefully—well, they don’t necessarily look to me—but that black women in general need to be out there the way that other women are. It needs to happen for ‘us’ already!”

South Park is the rare show that can effectively blend vulgar yet hilarious toilet humor with sharp satirical social commentary. Over the past few seasons, creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have leaned more heavily on the latter with increasing emphasis on political humor. While this often elevates the quality of the show’s content, it can leave some fans who are just looking for a little lighthearted escapism disappointed.

As a result, South Park may very well steer clear of Donald Trump and politics in general in its upcoming 21st season. Here’s what Parker told the Los Angeles Times: 

Yeah, and it’s also just gotten boring. We weren’t ever really that show. We would do an entire season and there would be one moment that played off something that had just happened and people would go, “ ‘South Park’ is the show that does that.” And that’s just not true. We’re not.

We did start to become that, though, especially the last season. We fell into the same trap that “Saturday Night Live” fell into, where it was like, “Dude, we’re just becoming CNN now. We’re becoming: ‘Tune in to see what we’re going to say about Trump.’ ” Matt and I hated it but we got stuck in it somehow.

This season I want to get back to Cartman dressing up like a robot and [screwing] with Butters, because to me that’s the bread and butter of “South Park”: kids being kids and being ridiculous and outrageous but not “did you see what Trump did last night?” Because I don’t give a … anymore.

We probably could put up billboards — “Look what we’re going to do to Trump next week!” — and get crazy ratings. But I just don’t care.

When something big happens in the country, it’s always nice to get the South Park guys’ take on it. “Snuke” and “About Last Night…” are some of the smartest and most hilarious political parodies in recent memory. But every now and then, fans just want a good ‘ol fashioned “Cartman Gets an Anal Probe.”

It’ll be refreshing to see Parker and Stone get back to their comedic roots.

A vehicle has crashed into a group of pedestrians in East Boston, authorities say. There are reportedly at least 9 injured as a result.

What Happened?

The Massachusetts State Police tweet around 2:00 P.M. EST on Monday that a vehicle had hit a group of pedestrians by Porter Street at Tomahawk Drive, located near the Logan Airport taxi pool.

There are several injuries of varying severity, according to Police. Recent reports suggest at least nine have been injured.

Via the Boston Globe:

A law enforcement official briefed on the incident said investigators are looking at possible operator error in the incident. The driver remained on the scene after the crash and is being interviewed by police.

UPDATE: Police have told CNBC that it appears as if a taxi driver lost control of his vehicle and that this incident is not terror-related. The vehicle is reportedly a white Metro Cab.

No other details were immediately available.

Enzo Amore kicks off tonight’s Raw

Enzo is still emotional about his break-up with Big Cass. Nothing can’t bring down the little guy. He’s climbed out of holes bigger than seven feet. And Cass is just a catchphrase that Enzo wrote (allegedly). Enzo says he’s a hard worker and he can make up his words. Enzo has a Tupac bandana on because it’s all eyes on him tonight. At Great Balls of Fire, it will be Big Cass vs. Enzo.

Big Cass is backstage and he’s not impressed with Enzo. He says he hasn’t met anyone who could talk so much and say nothing. Then outta nowhere, Enzo jumps on Cass’ back, taking down the big man. Cass counters, but officials run in to break everything up.

Sasha Banks & Bayley vs. Nia Jax & WWE Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss

Jax scoops up Bayley, but the former champion fights out. Nia quickly regains control and puts the boots to Bayley. But Ms. Hug Life fights back and has the bigger woman in trouble. Jax fights back, but Bayley makes the tag to Sasha. Banks comes in like a ball of lightning. Jax tries to use her strength to overpower Banks, but Sasha is way too quick and ring savvy.

Nia Jax is frustrated. Jax knocks Bayley off the apron and then charges into Ms. Hug Life, squashing her into the barricade.

We’re back from the commercial break, and Alexa has Sasha trapped in a headlock. Bayley was taken to the back during the commercial break, effectively making this contest a handicap match. Sasha fights out and takes down Alexa. Banks runs into Jax with a forearm, stunning the larger competitor on the apron. Sasha runs back and attacks Bliss.

The bad girls (Jax & Bliss) regain control and puts the hurtin’ on Sasha. But you can’t keep The Boss down too long. Sasha knocks Nia Jax out of the ring and out of the equation. Banks capitalizes on a prone Alexa Bliss with a Banks Statement. Bliss taps out.

Cedric Alexander vs. “The Scottish Supernova” Noam Dar

Alexander wants to shut up Dar for good tonight. Dar’s music hits and he introduces the returning Alicia Fox.

Cedric beats Dar into the corner to start the match. Alexander’s mind is too clouded by Fox and Dar’s relationship that he slips up and “The Scottish Supernova” takes control with a kick to the gut.

Fox distracts Cedric. Dar tries to capitalize on the distraction, but Alexander quickly turns the tide with a Lumbar Check. Cedric pins Dar, all while staring a hole through Alicia Fox at ringside.

The Miz talks trash about Dean Ambrose. Miz calls Ambrose the weak link and disappointment of The Shield. Dean just can’t handle the pressure, while The Miz thrives under the pressure. He made the IC title great again, not Dean Ambrose. “The Lunatic Fringe” is all about cracking jokes and staying out of the spotlight.

Ambrose’s music hits. All joking aside, The Lunatic Fringe wants to fight tonight.

Heath Slater comes out next, with Rhyno by his side. Listen, Heath got kids. He needs a title shot. Ambrose tells him to get to the back of the line. Miz says “when my hand goes up, your mouth goes shut!”

The Miz doesn’t want to give a title shot to anyone. He has a 4th of July party to celebrate at the stroke of midnight tonight.

Raw General Manager Kurt Angle’s music hits. He makes an announcement regarding the Intercontinental title. The Miz will defend his title against Heath Slater next! And the winner will face Dean Ambrose for the title at Great Balls of Fire.

WWE Intercontinental Championship match: The Miz (c) vs. Heath Slater

Miz takes control in the early going of the match. But The Hollywood A-Lister gets too cocky and gets caught by Heath. Slater is kicking ass, and The Miz is reeling outside the ring as we go to the commercial break.

The Hollywood A-Lister is back in control as we return from the break. Miz drops Slater with a DDT. Miz throws Slater outside the ring, but Rhyno protects him from The Miztourage.

Slater manages to regain control. He hits a big kick. Slater scoopslams Miz from the top rope to the ring. The Miztourage takes out Rhyno. Slater is distracted and Miz capitalizes with a Skull Crushing Finale.

The Miz defeats Heath Slater to retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship

Post-match: The Miztourage assault Heath Slater outside the ring. Dean Ambrose runs down to ringside to help out Slater. Ambrose takes out The Miztourages’ Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel. Ambrose rushes the ring and attempts a Dirty Deeds DDT on Miz, but can’t manage to hit the move. Axel charges the ring and takes out Ambrose. Dallas and Axel double-team Dean. The Miz and his Miztourage stand tall.

The screening of “The Shattered Truth”

Goldust is sitting on a director’s chair in the center of the ring. He says, “Let the games begin,” and attributes those words to the 2004 horror film Saw. Goldust has a masterpiece of his own to show the audience. The crowd watches a video entitled “The Shattered Truth.” We basically see last week’s beatdown on R-Truth, but in a fancy art film style.

After the film, R-Truth comes out of nowhere and attacks Goldust. Popcorn is everywhere. Apparently, Truth was having a snack during the screening of the short film. R-Truth kicks some golden ass tonight.

Seth Rollins vs. Curt Hawkins

Hawkins talks trash. He asks the crowd if he thinks that he’ll lose or… Rollins grabs the microphone, talks, and then fights. Hawkins wants the referee to ring the bell. Curt swings at Seth, but Rollins ducks and counters with a knee to Hawkins’ face.

Post-Match: Seth Rollins picks up a microphone and starts talking trash about “The Eater of Worlds” Bray Wyatt.

Samoa Joe/Brock Lesnar Interview

Both main event men are talking trash. Lesnar calls Joe a coward for targeting Heyman. Lesnar says this has nothing to do with his manager, and is all about Lesnar and Joe.

Samoa Joe wants to fight now. Lesnar laughs at him. Lesnar knows that he’s a target because of his championship. Both men run down big names that they’ve beat. Lesnar doesn’t look fazed and this pisses off Joe even more. Joe is angry and is done talking.

Joe walks backstage looking for Lesnar. WWE officials along with Raw GM Kurt Angle try to hold him back. Joe finds Lesnar’s room, but can’t get to Brock because he has over a dozen guys holding him back. Joe is furious. Lesnar remains unshaken. It’s almost as if this entire incident seems comical to The Beast.

WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville vs. Mustafa Ali

Mustafa Ali is using his high-flying action to keep control of the champion. Ali is jumping all over the place and throwing Neville around with him. Mustafa ascends the top rope, but takes way too long. Neville gets up and strikes Ali from behind. Now, Neville is ascending the top rope and is about to send Ali flying. Neville screws up the move, Ali lands on his feet and the champion lands on his neck.

Ali capitalizes on the injured Neville and hits a big move. Ali goes for the cover. 1…2…kick out!

Mustafa ascends the top rope again, but Neville gets up and knocks Ali off the ropes. Ali hits his face on the barricade. Neville is still clutching his neck. The champion is hurt. The referee starts the count on Ali.

Neville exits the ring and throws Ali back into the ring before the referee makes the 10 count. Neville is vicious, stomping Ali into the corner. The King of the Cruiserweights charges at Ali and slams his knee into Mustafa’s face.

While Ali tries to recover, Neville taunts the crowd. The champion turns around and continues the assault on Ali. Neville whips Ali into the ropes and then uses his momentum to throw Ali high into the air. Ali lands on his face. Neville slowly picks up his opponent, but Ali counters.

Mustafa is regaining ground. But then outta nowhere Neville hits a wicked clothesline. Neville quickly locks in The Rings of Saturn. Ali taps out. The look on Neville’s face is that of pure insanity, his eyes are wild and wide. The king is mad!

Bray Wyatt Desert Promo

Wyatt talks about the mythology of the sun; telling the story of a deity so cruel that it will blind you if you stare directly at it. Wyatt’s fire has been burning wild ever since his arrival on Monday Night Raw. This Sunday, he will take out Seth Rollins. And when Seth looks into the eyes of the “Eater of Worlds” he won’t go blind, but his eyes will burn.

Finn Balor vs. Cesaro

Finn gains control in the early going. Balor and Cesaro exchange big moves. Finn takes down Cesaro and stands tall as we go to the commercial break.

Cesaro is in control as we come back from the break. But Balor quickly regains control. Cesaro falls out of the ring. Finn runs the apron and kicks Cesaro in the face. Finn is dominant. But “The Swiss Superman” Cesaro turns the tide and hits a big uppercut.

Finn gains ground, but Elias Samson’s guitar riff interrupts things. But Balor still takes out Cesaro. Sheamus distracts the referee and Samson grabs Balor’s leg and pulls him down. The Hardy’s come down to ringside and assault Samson. Sheamus takes out Matt with a Brogue Kick. Jeff runs the apron and leaps onto Sheamus. Then Cesaro emerges and kicks Jeff into next week.

Balor decides to take out everyone with a suicide dive. Finn scoops up Cesaro and takes him out with a Coup de Grace in the ring.

Braun Strowman Open Challenge

Strowman is angry, hungry and wants competition. Titus O’Neil comes out with an answer to Strowman’s challenge. O’Neil has someone he thinks will defeat The Monster Among Men. Out comes Apollo Crews.

Braun Strowman vs. Apollo Crews

Braun dominates much of this match. Apollo looks to be in over his head with The Monster Among Men. Strowman beats Crews down like it’s nobody’s business. Braun throws Crews out of the ring like a ragdoll. “Get out of my ring,” yells Braun.

Apollo manages to crawl back into the ring before the count of 10. But Braun immediately traps Crews into a submission hold, locking down on Crews’ neck and shoulder blades. But Crews rallies back and is able to regain ground, taking the fight to the much bigger men and getting some big-time kicks in on his opponent. But Braun quickly counters and crushes Crews.

Strowman lands a sidewalk slam on Apollo and goes for the cover. 1…2…Braun picks up Crews. He’s not finished with Apollo yet. He hits two more sidewalk slams before he ends the match for good.

Post-Match: Strowman continues the assault on Apollo. Titus O’Neil comes in the ring to defend his client. Titus is nose-to-nose with The Monster Among Men. O’Neil hits the first punch. But Strowman immediately fires back and takes down Titus. Braun picks Titus up by his belt and levels him with a sidewalk slam. The Monster grabs Apollo, drags him out of the ring, and throws him over the barricade. Strowman climbs over the barrier and drags Crews to an ambulance and throws his victim inside. Strowman strikes the ambulance and a siren goes off. Strowman strikes the ambulance a couple more times. The Monster looks puzzle, wondering why the ambulance didn’t drive off yet. The siren goes off and Braun walks up to the driver’s door and looks inside the window. He open’s the door and Roman Reigns immediately pops up and hits him in the mouth. Reigns takes control and spears Braun off the entrance ramp into some studio equipment. But somehow, Strowman gets to his feet, as he leans up against the ambulance for support.

For those of you that don’t know (and, if you’re on this article, you already know), July 4th is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. Yeah, America is a MILF at 242 years old. On that date, the Continental Congress declared that the thirteen American colonies regarded themselves as a new nation and were no longer part of the British Empire.

Since we won that fight and have been kick ass Americans ever since, Independence Day is now closely associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, family reunions and more. Basically, it’s “F— Yeah, ‘Murica” personified. I love it.

John Adams wrote of the holiday to his wife Abigail:

“I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty, It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more.”

Talk about foresight. That Adams dude knew what he was talking about.

Happy July 4th, Independence Day, Fourth of July…However the f— you want to say it, I don’t care. All I know is that this wonderful, amazing, glorious day means beaches, fireworks, barbecues and turning up. Man, is this not the best holiday of the year?

Citizens in the good ‘ol U.S. of A. celebrate Independence Day on the Fourth of July every year.  Ever since July 4, 1776, when the Declaration of Independence was signed, we’ve used this day to celebrate the official birth of this great nation as a true blue country. Hooray (f— the Articles of Confederation, too!)…Goodbye British Empire, hello boobs, beer and Burger King. We definitely got the better end of this deal.

Oddly, America isn’t the only country that celebrates the Fourth of July. You still might see fireworks in Denmark, England, Norway, Portugal and Sweden. Why? Europeans celebrate this American holiday to attract U.S. tourists. Yeah, we roll deep around the world. No big deal.

But how old is America turning this year?

The land of the free and home of the brave will be a distinguished 241 years old this year. While that sounds mighty impressive, Egypt has about 5,000 years on us as a country, so we still got a little bit to go despite our all around youthful awesomeness.

Anyway, it’s time to drink American beer, fire up the grill, cook some burgers and talk in a Southern accent even if you’re from the North. Also, enjoy this hilarious collections of memes we put together. No one does funny like us Yankees.

Billy McFarland, the 25-year-old who teamed up with Ja Rule for the disastrous Fyre Festival, was arrested by federal agents on Friday on a charge of wire fraud. He was released Saturday on $300,000 following a lengthy examination of his overly lavish lifestyle.

According to the New York Times, McFarland is making payments on a Maserati with a retail price of $110,000 and renting a Manhattan penthouse apartment for $21,000 per month. At the time of his arrest, McFarland was found with $5,000 cash on him.

Previously, McFarland had notified all Fyre Festival employee that he did not have the funds to pay them their agreed upon wages.

However, at court on Sunday, McFarland came dressed in a light blue t-shirt and black jeans and was represented  by a public defender. Assistant US Attorney Kristy Greenberg questioned whether McFarland’s larger-than-life image met the requirements to be represented by a public defender.

The Times reported that McFarland hired a crisis public relations firm and a legal team to defend him following the deluge of lawsuits that came his way after the Fyre Festival fiasco. However, his lawyers had not been paid enough to continue representation.

“There are real questions about where his money is,” Greenberg told the judge at McFarland’s bail hearing.

The young entrepreneur is facing allegations that he lied on financial-disclosure forms and defrauded investors in Fyre Media by exaggerating the company’s income, according to Business Insider. He is said to have allegedly doctored a Scottrade account statement to say that he owned $2.5 million in a company’s stock, when his position was actually worth just $1,500.

Rumor has it that Cena is next in line for a feud against “The Modern Day Maharaja” and current WWE World Champion Jinder Mahal. I wonder how Jinder will feel about a returning John Cena. The 16-time world champion is currently a free agent, so Jinder is probably hoping that Kurt Angle picks up Cena’s contact over on Monday Night Raw.

The other star attraction of the night lies upon the women’s division. Naomi is set to defend her WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship against Lana for the third time. A beached Chris Christie has turned himself into the dankest memes for this 4th of July season. This “man of the people” was spotted lounging on the beach with his family. No big deal, right? Except Christie ordered state-owned beaches and parks to be closed down resulting from a budget statement. And someone took a snapshot of “tricky” Chris with his family on the state-owned Island Beach State Park less than a day after the mandate.

In all fairness, the beach was technically in the Christie family’s backyard. But it looks like he closed down the beach, just so his family could get some personal rest and relaxation on public property without the intrusive public being present. If you’re going to order the public to stay away from state-owned park and beaches, shouldn’t you be included? Or is Christie above his own laws?

Christie wouldn’t use public property for private gain, would he? I see no bridges, only this beach, folks!

When Christie was questioned about whether he got any sun on Sunday, he straight up said refused any sun-to-skin contact.

“I didn’t,” said Christie. “I didn’t get any sun today.”

But then when that photo surfaced, the governor’s spokesperson Brian Murray provided some damage control to the sunny situation. “Yes, the governor was on the beach briefly today talking to his wife and family before heading into the office.”

“He did not get any sun,” Murray added. “He had a baseball hat on.”

Meh, politicians have done worse. At least, #Beachgate inspired some really dank memes from the fine folks on the internet…

John Cena Returns!

Multiple-time world champion John Cena is back! He’s happy as hell to be back and he has a message to all the up-and-comers in the back. Cena isn’t a Hollywood sellout and he’ll let everyone know how dedicated he is to the business that made him what he is today. He’s proud to be apart of the WWE. But more importantly, he’s proud to be part of the United States of America.

Out comes the returning “Bulgarian Brute” Rusev.

Rusev is super jelly that WWE made a big deal about Cena coming back. Meanwhile, Rusev’s return hasn’t exactly been treated as a top priority. And Rusev wants to crush John Cena and show everyone why Rusev should be taken seriously. He mocks the hamburger-eating crowd.

Cena wants to fight Rusev. He offers the idea of a “flag on a pole” match between Cena’s America and Rusev’s Bulgaria. But Rusev wants to fight on his own terms and refuses the battle for tonight. Cena calls Rusev “a coward” and leads a U-S-A chant with the crowd.

Inside SmackDown GM’s Office Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan invites Chad Gable and AJ Styles into his office. Bryan is bothered by Kevin Owens who keeps complaining about Styles and Gable being in the battle royal. Styles suggests shoving fireworks down Owens’ throat since it’s the 4th of July. Bryan said he gave that some thought. But KO did have a point, Owens did beats both Styles and Gable.

Both men are worried about losing their spot in the battle royal. But Daniel Bryan gives them a bit of reassurance. AJ Styles will battle Chad Gable next and the winner will receive a spot in the Independence Day battle royal.

Win-And-You’re-In Match (winner qualifies for the Independence Day battle royal): AJ Styles vs. Chad Gable

Chad Gable takes Styles to school with suplexes to start off the match. AJ tries to battle back, but Chad overcomes the Phenomenal One. The Greco-Roman wrestler in Chad seems to be too much for Styles to hack. Gable wears down Styles with a headlock submission.

AJ fights out and nails some sick chops onto Gable. Chad strikes back and runs the ropes, but gets caught with a painful backbreaker from Styles.

Styles ascends the top rope, but gets caught by Gable. AJ is taken off the turnbuckle and Chad tries his own high-risk maneuver. But it’s high-risk, no reward for Chad who fails to connect with Styles. AJ capitalizes and hits Chad with a suplex right into the corner.

AJ seems to be in control. He attempts a Styles Clash, but Gable wiggles through. Chad performs a flawless suplex on Styles. But the Phenomenal One is able to rally back. He hits a pele kick and then a Phenomenal Forearm to end this match.

Carmella’s Money In The Bank Celebration

Ms. Money In The Bank Carmella comes out to the ring with her boo James Ellsworth to celebrate. She can cash in on Naomi anytime she wants. How bow dah?

After Carmella talks some serious trash about the WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion, Naomi is out and she looks amazing. Everything about Naomi is glowing. Her championship belt has been transformed and is now glowing blue at the edges.

Naomi gets up in Carmella’s face. The champ is ready for a fight at any time against any competitor.

SmackDown GM Daniel Bryan is out next. Ellsworth talks some trash about Bryan. But the GM laughs in Ellsworth’s face. James shouldn’t be expecting a paycheck for the next 30 days because he’s suspended, and if he doesn’t leave immediately then Carmella will be stripped of her briefcase.

Bryan leads a “YES” chant as Carmella and Elsworth flees the ring.

WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship: Naomi (c) vs. Lana

Naomi rolls up Lana and traps her into a submission right off the bat. Lana taps almost immediately.

Naomi defeats Lana to retain the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship

Post-Match: Tamina Snuka hits the ring following the match. She stands over Lana, protecting her from the champion. She offers Naomi an intimidating glare. Snuka orders Lana to get up and come with her. Lana seems hesitant, but gives in to Tamina’s commends and they both exit the ring together.

Shinsuke Nakamura Backstage Interview

Shinsuke Nakamura is in the middle of an interview when Baron Corbin hits him in the head from behind. Corbin talks trash and continues the assault. But Shinsuke fires back and WWE officials are needed to break these two up.

John Cena vs. Rusev in a Flag Match announced for Battleground

Rap Battle The New Day vs. The Usos, hosted by Wale

Both The Usos and The New Day come with a dress-coordinated entourage. The New Day are all decked out in 4th of July American attire. Big E basically says that The New Day is the reason why people care about the tag team division; The Usos were stuck in dark matches and on pre-shows before The New Day came along. Ya boy E says that The Usos were eating crumbs before ya boys came along.

The Usos diss Big E for his bulbous chest that resembles breasts, or they silicon or fake? The world will never know. Kofi fires back and tells the crowd that The Usos are weenie-do’s because their gut hangs out more than their weenie do. The Usos make fire of Kofi’s big forehead and his Jamaican gimmick he use to have, even though he’s not Jamaican. Xavier Woods kills it when he tells Jimmy that the only reason he’s relevant is because of his wife on Total Divas. He says that The Usos are bag-handlers for Roman Reigns and all hell breaks loose.

Aiden English vs. Randy Orton

Aiden English starts off this segment with a song in the center of the ring. Randy Orton’s theme music interrupts English’s song. Aiden is pissed and attacks Orton from behind before the match starts. English whips Orton into the steel steps, and returns to the ring to continue where he left out. Aiden picks up a microphone and begins singing.

English is picking Orton apart all throughout the commercial break. Aiden is manhandling a multi-time world champion. Aiden is simply kicking ass. Orton fires back with a scoopslam. Randy relentless assaults Aiden outside the ring. He drops English over the commentator’s table and hits a DDT onto the floor.

But Orton gets carried away. He picks up the steps and smacks English with solid steel. The referee calls for the bell.

Aiden English defeats Randy Orton via disqualification

Post-Match: Orton continues the assault. He drags Aiden into the ring and hits an RKO. Jinder Mahal’s music hits and The Modern Day Maharaja enters with his goons The Singh Brothers. Mahal says that Orton and the fans don’t like him because of the color of his skin. Orton disagrees, he says the reason no one likes Mahal is because he’s a jackass. The crowd cheers. Orton says he’ll kick Jinder’s ass back to India in Battleground’s Punjabi Prison match.

Independence Day Battle Royal: winner receives a shot at Kevin Owen’s WWE United States Championship at Battleground

Dolph Ziggler hits a big kick, but he didn’t see Luke Harper who clotheslines “The Showoff” right out of the ring. Ziggler is the first man eliminated from this match.

Erick Rowan eliminates Fandago. Rowan tries to take out Tyler Breeze but he gets caught by Fandango. Breeze is back in the ring, but quickly gets thrown out again by Rowan. Sin Cara battles it out with Rowan, but gets thrown out himself. Mojo attacks Rowan into the corner. Luke Harper battles with Mojo, but the Hype Bro takes out Luke. Mojo takes out Konnor from The Ascension. Ryder and Mojo have a stare-down, but Rowan takes them both down.

Zack Ryder takes out Rowan, but Mojo dumps out Ryder. Tye Dillinger takes out Mojo. Dillinger dominates both Sami and AJ, but gets taken out himself. Sami and Styles battle it out to the very end, but The Phenomenal One stands tall at this main event.

Post-Match: Kevin Owens assaults AJ Styles after the match. But AJ battles back with a Pele Kick. Styles stands tall once more.

John Blackwell Jr., a former drummer for musical legend Prince, died at age 43 in Florida.

John Blackwell Jr. Cause of Death

Last year, it was discovered that Blackwell had two brain tumors discovered during a trip in Japan.

His wife Yaritza announced his passing on Blackwell’s Instagram account.

The photo caption reads: “My husband incredible drummer John Blackwell Jr. passed the way peacefully in my company today. Thanks God for his life and thanks everyone for their support.”

Blackwell and his family chronicled his health in a separate Instagram post earlier this year when he was forced to go to a rehab facility.

Career

Blackwell performed with Prince for 15 years. During this time, he quickly earned a reputation as a master drummer with a original style all his own. Originally from Columbia, South Carolina, Blackwell performed with a handful of other iconic musicians including: Patti LaBelle, Justin Timberlake and Cameo.
