FX’s Fargo continues its third season tonight with episode No. 8, “Who Rules the Land of Denial?,” at 10:00 P.M. EST. Here’s everything you need to know from last week’s episode:

Gloria and Winnie find Ray dead at his apartment. Nikki is arrested at her motel room, as Meemo watches from a distance. At St. Cloud’s police headquarters, she is questioned by Chief Dammik, who suspects that she killed Ray in retaliation for his abuse. Nikki requests a lawyer. Winnie’s supervisor orders her to return to traffic duty and asks Gloria, out of her jurisdiction, to leave. She presents her facts before asking Winnie to tell Emmit about his brother and gauge his reaction. Emmit arrives late for and is clearly distracted at dinner with Ruby Goldfarb and Sy. Winnie finds Emmit, and, although she never initially mentioned how Ray died, Emmit suggests Nikki killed Ray. He and Sy leave, and a suspicious Winnie approaches Ruby. Emmit later asks Sy if he was working with Ray which he denies, dispelling any previous suspicions. Varga, inside Emmit’s home, asks how he feels; Emmit says “free”, now that Ray is dead. An attempt is made on Nikki’s life at her jail cell, but Gloria saves her. The uniformed assassin (DJ Qualls) makes a clean getaway. Nikki, thankful for Gloria saving her life, tells her and Chief Dammik to follow the money. Having violated parole, Nikki is put on a state prison bus and is seated next to a disheveled-looking Mr. Wrench (Russell Harvard). Yuri causes the bus to crash, and he enters the bus with two accomplices on the outside.

The NBA Finals continue tonight with game three from Cleveland at 9 pm on ABC. The Warriors have dominated the first two games of the series, and the Cavs need to make adjustments for game three, or this series will be over.

Pregame

With a 2-0 lead, the Warriors are in great shape to avenge last year’s defeat in the finals. As the series shifts to Cleveland, the Cavaliers will try to find some way to slow down the Warriors and get back in this series. Kevin Durant is showing his value and leading a Warriors offense that is nearly unstoppable. LeBron James has been no slouch either, but the Cavaliers are not shooting well enough to counteract their porous defense. As the Cavs head home, the hope is that the fans will be enough to get the role players involved. Cleveland desperately needs some contributions from their bench and secondary players if they are going to keep up with the Warriors multi-dimensional attack. Tune in tonight to see if the Cavaliers will make this a competitive series, or if the Warriors will continue their dominating run through the postseason.

First Quarter

11:40- Trapping Curry is a new strategy for the Cavs. Want to see him give the ball up

10:03- The Whole world wants to see a J.R. Smith vs. Draymond Green fight

9:16- Role players play better at home. J.R. should stay aggressive

Though Sesame Street is aimed at young kids, the show knows that tons of parents are watching too. That’s why every once in a while, they throw us grown ups a bone with smooth parodies of adult-skewing content like Game of Thrones and Mad Men.

Next up for Sesame Street is Netflix’s prison dramedy Orange if the New Black.

“Orange is the New Snack” centers around Morello (as played by Yael Stone on the series), Red (originated by Kate Mulgrew) and Crazy Eyes/Suzanne (Uzo Aduba) as they welcome newbie Piper Snackman (i.e. Piper Chapman, as played by Taylor Schilling…yeah, we know these puns are starting to lose steam).

Unlike other pop culture parodies from Sesame Street, “Snack” makes wholesale changes to the source material’s basic premises. Rather than being locked up in prison, the characters here are simply attending “Litchfield Academy” which explains the uniforms. I guess it’s understandable that the powers that be didn’t want to transplant Sesame Street to a maximum security prison.

Then again, the series did introduce the character of Alex, a Muppet whose father was in prison, a few years ago. Meanwhile, it’s not exactly a Shakespearean plot twist that the character of Pornstache (played in human form by Pablo Schreiber on the series) is renamed “Mr. Mustache” for the preschool set. We can support that change as well.

One similar strand of DNA between the two – Piper remains the most insufferable character of all.

As a kid, I was never much of a Full House fan. I mean, Danny Tanner was just such a miserable dude. The widower let his brother-in-law crash at his house rent free while he pursued a dead-end music career and banged every piece of tail under the sun until he met his wife and moved her ass into the home as well. We all know Joey Gladstone wasn’t paying rent either, that guy was a struggling comedian. Yeah, sure, Tanner may have swiped Kimmie Gibbler’s V-card when it became legal, but still. His life looked like it sucked.

Fortunately, Bob Saget does not share the same miserable fate as his on-screen persona. The 61-year-old comic and actor, who is divorced, told Closer Weekly that he’s finally in love again. Yeah, he’s just as shocked as you are.

“I didn’t think I’d have a relationship again. I was kind of in that ‘just work, make people happy and take care of your kids until they’re 90’ mindset.”

So which lucky lady has stolen the hear of one of the 90s’ most beloved sitcom dads? Well, that would be 38-year-old Chicago travel blogger Kelly Rizzo, who was introduced to Saget through a mutual friend.

“I don’t really see him as Danny Tanner,” she said of his famed TV dad character. “To me he’s just Bobby, my love.”

Smooth, Rizzo. Smooth.

“She’s just a remarkable person and she’s really talented,” Tanner, err, Saget said. Well done, buddy. I may not watch Netflix’s Fuller House, but at least I know Danny Tanner is getting laid.

One of the greatest strengths of America is that we can turn literally any event into a reason to day drink. Just look what happens to the country during the World Cup — no one watches soccer for four years, and then all of a sudden, everyone’s drunk for thirty straight days, chanting ‘I believe that we will win’ until their vocal cords bleed.

Americans stole St. Patricks Day from the Irish and turned the Super Bowl into a holiday. What about Cinco De Mayo? Can you tell me one thing about it, other than that you pre-game with tequila? Hell, even the day BEFORE the real holiday, Thanksgiving Eve, is considered a ‘drinking holiday’

My point is that, real Americans will find any excuse under the sun to get a good day drink on, so it should come as absolutely no surprise that bars across the union, from Washington D.C. to Texas to San Fransisco, opened early for the James Comey testimony.

 Texas Axelrad Beer Garden in Houston offering $1 off its political drinks, “impeachmint” and “bad hombre,” In San Francisco, some bars will be opening as early as 6 AM to let the people get a little sauced before the country tears itself apart. And of course, in Washington D.C., where the hearing is being referred to as ‘Washington’s Super Bowl’, bars across the city are going ALL in. One bar is even offering free drinks every time Donnie Freedom tweets (since he’s rumored to be live tweeting the hearing.)

Comey is expected to provide details on memos he wrote after each of the nine one-on-one conversations he had with President Trump. In one, notably, the president asked him to drop the FBI investigation of Michael Flynn just after Flynn had been forced to resign his position as national security adviser. Flynn had misled the vice president and others about what he had discussed in his contacts with Russian Envoy Sergey Kislyak.

As is everything with the Trump Presidency thus far, the Comey hearing is turning into a circus, both in it of itself, and in the civilian world as well.

Amber Turnage, a 39-year-old teacher from Mississippi, has been arrested on six counts of sexual battery for having intercourse with and performing other sexual acts on a 17-year-old student.

Turnage, 39, a former biology teacher at Provine High School in Jackson, Mississippi, was arrested on May 18 after videos of her having intercourse with an unidentified 17-year-old student emerged.

Turnage, who is married with children, allegedly carried on the relationship with the student from December 2016 until late April of this year. The last sexual encounter between the two occurred on April 27.

The teen’s lawyer, Warren Martin, said the affair was discovered after other students reported videos of Turnage and the 17-year-old was being shared across social media.

According to Martin, the teacher approached his client with the purpose of engaging in an inappropriate sexual relationship. She gave him credit cards and cash payments throughout the relationship in order to conceal the sexual exploits between the two.

“My client was entrapped by a sexual scam,” said Martin. “This teacher saw him, preyed upon him and when she realized he was close to revealing her criminality, she sought efforts to conceal it by offering my client cash payments.”

According to Martin, the teacher would tutor his client and then drop him off at his home in her car, where several of the sexual encounters occurred. He says several other instances happened on the campus of Provine, as well.

Martin also said that the experience has caused his client to become “distraught”.

The Jackson Public School District released a statement on Turnage:

“The District takes these allegations very seriously and is conducting a thorough investigation. The teacher involved has been placed on administrative leave pending the results of the investigation. Once the investigation is complete, JPS will take the appropriate action. We have reported this matter to our local law enforcement agency. The Department of Human Services and the Mississippi Department of Education has also been notified. The safety and well-being of our students is of utmost importance and a top priority.”

Turnage, a mother of five, was with the Jackson School District since 2015.

Comey was fired last month by President Trump, with some speculating that Comey was pushing too hard on the Russia investigation and Trump wanted to get rid of him.

On the other hand, Trump says Comey was simply not doing his job well. Deborah Ballard-Reisch, a communications professor at Wichita State University, has decided to resign due to a law allowing concealed weapons on campus.

Ballard-Reisch, a tenured professor in Wichita State’s Elliott School of Communication, submitted her resigination letter to WSU President John Bardo this week, detailing her plans to retire on July 1, the day the law is set to go into effect.

Under current Kansas law, public colleges in will have to open their campuses to concealed firearms starting this summer on July 1. Ballard-Reisch says the law is “in opposition to the values of higher education.”

Kansas passed a law in 2013 that enabled people to bring guns into public buildings. Public universities and community colleges were given a four-year extension to comply.

Two years ago, Kansas removed the requirement that anyone who carries a concealed handgun obtain a permit, acquired by paying a licensing fee and completing an eight-hour training course.

She says she chose to retire and to make her resignation letter public to send a message to state lawmakers and others who support the campus-carry measure.

Ballard-Reisch, 59, worked at Wichita State for a decade, teaching classes in crisis communication, research methods and health communication as the Kansas Health Foundation Distinguished Chair in Strategic Communication.

At the time of this writing, ten states in the union have decided to allow concealed weapons on public college campuses: Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Kansas, Mississippi, Oregon, Texas, Utah and Wisconsin.

All hell broke lose while XXXTENTACTION was performing in San Diego on Wednesday night (June 7). During his set, the rapper was jumped on stage and appeared to get knocked out. Videos of the incident show a lone assailant rushing the stage and slamming X in his face before several security guards and random other people jump in.

Considering his wild show Tuesday night (June 6) in Los Angeles, people actually aren’t that shocked something like this would happen. Rumors are circulating online that X’s rival Rob $tone, who happens to be from the California city, was behind the vicious suckerpunch.

The incident caused people to erupt (once again) into the chant, “Fuck Rob $tone,” a clear indication many people believe $tone is behind it. A fan who appeared to be at the show also claimed on Twitter that a person was stabbed. The footage that has surfaced online makes it difficult to identify the initial attacker. Whatever’s going on, X will likely continue his streak of crazy concert experiences when the Revenge Tour picks back up at The Observatory in nearby Santa Ana Thursday night (June 8).
