Is there any question that Marshawn Lynch is going to have the highest selling jersey in the league this year? The city of Oakland alone is going to be buying millions — that’s how much they love this dude.

But simultaneously, that’s how much he loves them.

During his first press conference as an Oakland Raider, Marshawn Lynch was in classic Lynch-mode, delivering hilarious, yet to the point, answers to whatever he was asked.

One of the most poignant insights was what caused Lynch to return to football, and in typically Lynch fashion, it’s actually pretty simple: Marshawn decided he wanted to come back to football when he found out the Raiders were leaving Oakland. If that isn’t love for your city, I don’t know what is.

“I got Oakland behind me, the way we feel about where we’re from and why represent where we’re from so hard is because we know what the struggle is and how we get down,” Lynch told reporters. “So every home game that I get to come to this [expletive] I’m probably gonna be riding with the whole town.”

Lynch, 31, was notorious for his odd interviews during the first nine years of his career.

“This actually born and raised and pissing in them hallways and running down them alley ways,” Lynch told reporters Tuesday. “I really did that right here and I get an opportunity to play here.”

And not only is Lynch giving us vintage Beast Mode behind the podium but on the gridiron as well.

Philadelphia-based TV reporter Colleen Campbell has been fired from PHL 17 and her profile has been erased by the station’s website after a video showing her abusing city police went viral.

On June 4, Campbell, 28, was removed from the Helium comedy club in Philly during a show featuring comedian Craig Robinson. Campbell’s “loud whispering” was disrupting the audience, according to comedian Wil Sylvince, who recorded her interaction with police. You can watch the video here.

Campbell Cursed At Officers

After Campbell was removed from the club, a police officer approached her. Campbell hurls a string of profane insults at him, saying he’s “a f—ing piece of s–t” and “You’re f—ing c–k suckers. I did not do s–t, I stood there and laughed like the rest of the audience like I should. I did not disrupt anybody.”

The man with Campbell tried to deescalate the situation but the officers says he just wants the two to go. Then Campbell responded, “Or what? Or what, motherf—er? Lick my a–hole. How about that? F–ing piece of s–t. That’s why nobody likes f–ing police…idiots in this f–king town.”

Campbell then makes as if she is going to spit in the face of a club employee at which point the cop handcuffs her. Campbell tells the cops that she works for a news organization and that “no wonder everyone wants to blow [cops’] f–king heads off.”

In his description of the incident, Wil Sylvince, said that Campbell was “very obnoxious” but he didn’t think she was drunk or high.

Campbell Claims She May Have Been Drugged

In a now-deleted Facebook post, Campbell says that she only had one drink and that she may have been drugged. According to Philadelphia Magazine, Campbell wrote:

I had one drink… and since have been fired from my job. I have never acted like this and asked to go to the hospital last night to find out if anything was slipped into my drink.

The reporter later told Philadelphia Magazine that she had a margarita and two shots prior to going to Helium and had two drinks there instead of just the one she claimed.

She said int he interview that no tests had been done to see if she had been drugged.

No. The police told me that it would slow the process. But at the police station, they had trouble taking my blood pressure. It was so high. I was worked up…

The nurse [at the police station] said if I send you to the hospital it will really delay everything. I just wanted to get out of there. I was really worried about my job. She gave me something similar to a Benadryl. Then later I woke up and had a panic attack. I never thought to get any test done.

One of the servers employed at the Helium club, Alexander Jusino, told the New York Post: “I’ve never seen anyone like that before and I’ve been watching people get kicked out of comedy clubs for five years.” Jusino added that he thought Campbell could have been on “some other level.”

Journalist/Bartender

According to her LinkedIn page, Campbell studied broadcast journalism at Temple University and graduated in 2016.

A bio that was written while Campbell was a student says that she is a native of the Philadelphia/South Jersey area. The profile reads, “Colleen developed a passion for telling stories about the city she knows so well… Colleen’s long term career goals include continuing a career in multimedia journalism and possibly earning a degree in Broadcast meteorology.”

Before studying at Temple, Campbell attended Rowan College at Gloucester County. Her bio read:

In her Philadelphia Magazine interview, Campbell said that her bartending job at the Devil’s Den bar in South Philly has taught her to “know her limits” regarding alcohol.

Social Media

Since the video hit the Internet it has racked up almost 1.5 million views on Facebook. In response, Campbell has deleted her Facebook and Twitter accounts, telling Philadelphia Magazine:

I feel awful. That’s not me or how I speak or how I talk or how I was raised. I had to delete all my social media, because I’m getting threats.

Campbell also took time in the interview to apologize to the officer.

Court Date

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that Campbell will appear in court on June 13 to answer to charges of resisting arrest, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.”

A spokeswoman for Campbell’s former employer, PHL 17, told the Inquirer, “Colleen Campbell is no longer employed by PHL17.”

Campbell broke down her firing in her interview, saying:

When I came home, I called my producer to talk about why I was absent. I didn’t realize a video was out. I found out about it later, because HR called me and said I was being terminated. They said there’s a video. I said, “What video?”

A nursery worker was dragged to the ground and stabbed by three women as they chanted ‘Allah will get you’ at Little Diamonds Nursery in Hermon Hill, London.

According to reports, the victim was walking down Wanstead High Street when she was attacked from behind and then stabbed in the arm as her assailants chanted ‘Allah’.

Police are not treating it as a terrorist incident.

Nursery manager Karrien Stevens said the woman told her she was slashed by three Asian women dressed in black. Counter-terrorism police have been informed but are not treating it as a terrorist incident.

Ms. Stevens, who runs Little Diamonds Nursery in Hermon Hill, said the woman was slashed while on her way to work from Wanstead High Street. The attackers slashed her arm from the wrist upwards before running off down the street, she said.

The victim’s injuries are not life-threatening but she was taken to an east London hospital as a precaution.

The Metropolitan Police released a statement on the incident, saying:

“The suspects fled the scene prior to police arrival in an unknown direction. No arrests have been made. Inquiries continue.

The Met’s Counter Terrorism Command has been made aware of the incident but is not investigating at this time.”

The three suspects have not been arrested at this time.

Orlando police, airport security and operations staff are currently responding to a security incident at Orlando International Airport.

According to the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, a suspicious vehicle was reported in the parking lot around 9:30 AM on Wednesday, June 7.

The vehicle was reported on the Level 1, A Side of the Main terminal. Airport canine teams and bomb squads are sweeping the area. The Orlando Fire Department says they have 13 units on the scene, including bomb squad and hazmat teams.

The airport is remaining open while authorities investigate, as the investigation is not interfering with airport operations. According to airport spokeswoman Carolyn Fennell, the vehicle was parked “outside of the public area.” She said the investigation was being conducted “out of an abundance of caution.”

The Orlando International Airport released a statement on the incident:

Orlando police, airport security and operations staff are responding to a security incident at Oralndo International Airport.

At approximately 9:30 AM, a suspicious vehicle was reported on Level 1, A Side of the Main Terminal. Airport canine teams are currently sweeping the area.

Mutual aid from local law enforcement agencies is in route to assist Orlando Police and airport personnel with assessing and resolbing the siutation.

An additional update will follow as soon as possible.

The suspicious vehicle comes just a week after Michael Pettigrew, 26, a suicidal man with a fake weapon forced a three-hour standoff at the airport with police.

Pettigrew was eventually arrested by Orlando SWAT members and released on bond last week.

President Donald Trump has tapped former U.S. Assistant Attorney General Christopher A. Wray as his nominee to replace James Comey as FBI Director. Wray worked with Comey at the Justice Department for two years before serving the last 12 years in private practice.

President George W. Bush selected Wray to lead the Department of Justice’s Criminal Division from 2003 to 2005. Since then, he has been a partner at King & Spalding and also acted as New Jersey Governor Chris Christie’s personal lawyer during the Bridgegate scandal.

Wray Offered to Resign With Comey Over Wiretapping

In a March 2004 conflict with the White House, then-FBI Director Robert Mueller and then-Deputy Attorney General Comey threatened to resign over wiretapping. Wray reportedly supported them in this standoff and told Comey, “Look, I don’t know what’s going on, but before you guys all pull the rip cords, please give me a heads‑up so I can jump with you.”

At the time, Comey would not approve of parts of the National Security Agency’s domestic wiretapping program.

Comey and others later withdrew their resignation threats after Bush agreed to alter the NSA programs.

Wray resigned in May 2005.

King & Spalding

Wray, 50, has been a litigation partner at the King & Spalding law firm since leaving the Justice Department in 2005.

Wray said in a statement:

According to the firm’s website:

“Mr. Wray chairs the King & Spalding Special Matters and Government Investigations Practice Group, which represents companies, audit and special committees, and individuals in a variety of white-collar criminal and regulatory enforcement matters, parallel civil litigation, and internal corporate investigations.”

Law360 named Wray’s group the “White-Collar Group of the Year” and the U.S. News & World Report said they are “the premier firm in this practice area.”

Chris Christie

Wray was the personal attorney to NJ Governor Chris Christie during the Bridgegate scandal. Three of Christie’s top aides were found guilty of federal crimes, though Christie himself was cleared of all criminal charges.

The Associated Press reports that during his representation of Christie, Wray was found in possession of a missing cell phone that the governor claimed he had handed over to the DoJ. The phone included dozens of text messages between Christie and a former staffer during legislative testimony by Port Authority officials in 2013. It is still not known what was featured in the exchanges.

Christie supported Trump’s nomination of Wray, saying:

“I have the utmost confidence in Chris. He’s an outstanding lawyer. He has absolute integrity and honesty, and I think that the president certainly would not be making a mistake if he asked Chris Wray to be FBI director.”

Other Candidates

Wray was one of many names on a shortlist to replace Comey as FBI Director.

Press Secretary Sean Spicer said May 30 that another former Bush administration official, John Pistole, was also being interviewed for the job on the same day as Wray. Others such as Joe Lieberman, Justice Department Criminal Division Chief Alice Fisher, Congressman Trey Gowdy and Senator John Cornyn withdrew themselves from consideration, according to CNN. Judge Michael Garcia and FBI ofifical Richard McFeely also dropped themselves from consideration.

Rachael Leahy, a 35-year-old Florida woman, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after she tried to hire someone to kill her ex-husband.

Leahy, 35, was sentenced Monday, June 5, after pleading no contest to criminal solicitation to commit murder.

In August 2016, Leahy spoke with an undercover sheriff’s detective whom she thought was a hit man, telling him that her ex-husband could be kidnapped and taken to another country and made into a sex slave. She also suggested that he could die in an apparent accident, like a fire or drowning.

Leahy told the undercover detective she could pay him $5,000 after collecting on her ex-husband’s life insurance policy.

Authorities said Leahy hatched her sinister plan because she wanted custody of their children. Leahy met with the undercover officer several times to give him information about her ex-husband and a photo of him. She also paid the fake hitman $2,500 with the intention to pay him more money later.

In one video from the meetings, Leahy allegedly said that she saw no other way to work out the custody battle with her ex than to have him killed.

“The only thing that matters is I don’t get to see my children,” she said, according to the Bradenton Herald. “There’s no other resolution to this other than him to be gone completely.”

According to police, Leahy planned to leave the country while the murder was taking place.

The terrorist who attacked police officers with a hammer outside Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris has been identified as 40-year-old Farid Ikken. The Algerian attacker yelled “this is for Syria” before he attacked an officer with a hammer and was shot by police.

Who Is He?

Farid Ikken is a 40-year-old Algerian jihadist who lived in Sweden and worked as a journalist. He even received an EU Commission’s National Journalist Prize Against Discrimination award for a report in which he discussed alleged racism towards migrants.

His article also touched on “asylum seekers who are not entitled to medical care and who are therefore forced to seek medical care, as well as healthcare staff and others who still provide healthcare to asylum seekers,” the European Commission wrote in a statement.

Ikken had earned a Masters degree while living in Sweden. According to unconfirmed reports, Ikken made a video swearing allegiance to ISIS before the attack.

Former MTV reality show contestant Danny Dias was found dead in his Brooklyn apartment on Monday. He was 33.

Danny Dias Cause of Death

Drugs are believed to have played a role in Dias’ death though the official cause of death is still under investigation.

The 33-year-old, who appeared on Season 13 of “Road Rules,” reportedly took LSD or mushrooms on Sunday when he freaked out and ran into his room, a friend who was at the apartment told TMZ.

The friend called him over the next two days but did not receive any response, prompting him to go Dias’ apartment to check on him. There he found him dead in his bedroom, TMZ reports.

Danny Dias

Dias was originally from Linden, New Jersey, but was currently living in Brooklyn. He attended Westminster Choir College of Rider University from 2001 to 2003 where he majored in music education.

He appeared on “Road Rules” in 2004 and later on “The Challenge” in 2005 before being eliminated after four episodes.

The music group Cypress Hill expressed their condolences via Facebook.

Nicholas Sherman is a Tim Man impersonator, who is also in the market for some brains. This past Sunday, the New Yorker was hired to work a gig as the worst main character in The Wizard of Oz. That’s right, I said it! The Wizard of Oz would’ve been a million times better if somebody dropped a house on that annoying slapdick.

When he was done portraying that squeaky ass dweeb, Sherman made the terrible decision to drink and drive. Here’s The Smoking Gun with all of the pertinent details.

Nicholas Sherman, 31, was collared after cops responded to a 911 call about an “intoxicated male on private property” in Sullivan, a town about 15 miles east of Syracuse. The homeowner told police that “Sherman had drove to the residence with another male and was asked to leave.”

Sherman, arrested for drunk driving, registered a blood alcohol content of .19, more than twice the legal limit. He is scheduled for a June 20 court appearance on the misdemeanor charge.

It’s safe to say that the Tin Man was a little too lubed up on that fateful night. All I’m picturing now is Sherman scrambling to try to scheme his way out of getting arrested. “Pay no attention to that drunk as a skunk driver, policemen!”

You know, other than the fact he’s a war-monger who invades sovereign nations, the dude is pretty hilarious.

Whether it be riding shirtless on the back of a horse, playing on a beer league hockey team, or waving at passing birds, if Putin is good for anything, he’s good for a relatively entertaining headline.

And if you know anything about Vladimir Putin, then you know the dude also doesn’t have much respect for women (also another thing that’s not so chill about him), so it should come as no surprise that he legitimately believes he never has bad days because he’s ‘not a woman.’

Russian President Vladimir Putin is always at his best, he tells director Oliver Stone in a new documentary called “The Putin Interviews” that will air on Showtime June 12-15. The politician attributes his stamina and stability in part to the fact that he’s a man.

As Bloomberg reports, “‘I am not a woman, so I don’t have bad days,’ he tells Stone while giving a tour of the Kremlin’s gilded throne room. ‘I am not trying to insult anyone. That’s just the nature of things. There are certain natural cycles.’”

Just so we’re clear, it’s not the sexism I find funny, but more the way it was packaged. It’s similar to how some stand-up comics are funnier because of their delivery than the actual context of the joke. I mean, the guy once said that Russian prostitutes are undoubtedly ‘the best in the world’, how do you not laugh at that?

The sheer notion of a world leader bragging about the quality of his nation’s hookers is inherently funny, just like Putin genuinely believing he doesn’t have because he’s not a woman is inherently funny.

It seems that critics are agreeing with me, as reviews for The Mummy have been brutal. The film currently holds a 27% approval rating on Rotten Tomoates, and IndieWire called it “the worst Tom Cruise movie ever.”

Metropolitan Police conducted a controlled explosion today in London.

They carried out the controlled explosion after being alerted to two unattended vehicles near the new US embassy in Wandsworth, London.

Police used a bomb disposal robot for the controlled explosion of a red van parked next to the new US Embassy building on Ponton Road at 5:37 PM on Wednesday.

The building is currently unopened.

Specialist officers were at the scene along with ambulance and fire service vehicles and cordons were in place.

The Metropolitan police said the vehicles were not suspicious and the roads would be reopened soon. Residents had been told to stay indoors and the car park of the nearby Waitrose supermarket was also closed.

Carrie Underwood was born on March 10, 1983, in Muskogee, Oklahoma. You may know her from American Idol, and if not, you know all the fame and success that followed shortly after.

Since then she has gone on to receive two more CMA Award Nominations while also hosting the second time around.

Oklahoma’s Bob Stoops is calling it a career after 18 seasons as head football coach, Berry Tramel of The Oklahoman reports.

Stoops, 56, will be succeeded by 33-year-old offensive coordinator Lincoln Riley. Stoops reportedly let his football players know of the decision earlier on Wednesday.

Stoops took charge of the program back in 1999 and subsequently posted an impressive 190-48 record with the school. The Sooners won the National Title in 200 and claimed nine Big 12 championships in his time.

Under Riley, Oklahoma posted the second-ranked offense in the nation last season. The team averaged 554.8 yards per game while scoring a total of 571 points (43.9 points per game).
