Arguably one of the most underrated and tenacious point guards in the NBA, Kyle Lowry is particularly well known for being a great leader for the Toronto Raptors. Throughout his career, Lowry has had to persevere through injuries and demotions. However, Lowry’s insatiable competitive nature has allowed the versatile point guard to excel where he was once overlooked, particularly on the defensive end of the court. Given his well earned relevance as of now, the question becomes how much is this hard working athlete actually worth?

Kyle Lowry’s Net Worth as of 2017: $38 Million

How did Lowry get there? And how has Lowry’s developed skill set earned him this type of financial security? Let’s take a closer look.

2006 – 2009

Lowry was selected by the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2006 NBA Draft with the 24th overall pick. While Lowry’s career got off to an impressive start when he played against the New York Knicks on opening night (six points, 10 rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block), he broke his wrist against the Cleveland Cavaliers just 10 games later.

Despite having successful surgery in the offseason, the Grizzlies surprisingly took another promising point guard in the 2007 NBA Draft in Mike Conley Jr. Although Lowry and Conley were close friends, it seemed inevitable that the Grizzlies wanted to go in a different direction from Lowry, considering they used the 4th overall pick on Conley.

Half way though the 2008-2009 regular season, the Grizzlies named their new head coach as Lionel Hollins. Shortly after the coaching change, Lowry was officially notified that the Grizzlies were committed to Conley as the starting point guard.

Lowry reportedly earned $1.6 million in 2009.

2009 – 2012

While Lowry’s demotion by the Grizzlies was disappointing, he did not have to wait long to get a second chance. On February 19, 2009, Lowry was involved in a three team deal that ultimately sent him to the Houston Rockets. The move was promising for both Lowry and the Rockets as the organization viewed Lowry as a upgrade at the point guard position.

Despite coming off the bench during the 2009-2010 regular season, Lowry still put up solid numbers (9.1 PPG, 4.5 APG, 3.6 RPG). As a restricted free agent in the off season, Lowry was sought after by the Cleveland Cavaliers who signed him to an offer sheet for four years and $23 million. Not wanting to lose their versatile ball facilitator, the Rockets quickly matched the offer.

Finally, after being marred by injuries and being a back up point guard the previous season, Lowry officially became the Rockets every day starter. His abilities as a scorer improved dramatically (13.5 PPG compared to 9.1 PPG the previous season) and his vigilance as a committed defender was finally recognized (1.4 steals per game). For the first time, Lowry was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week from March 14 to March 20, 2011. During that week, Lowry averaged an impressive 19.3 points, 7.5 assists and 7.3 rebounds per game.

Just when it seemed that Lowry was finally established as a respected point guard in the NBA, he hit an unexpected speed bump with new head coach Kevin McHale during the 2011-2012 regular season. On top of this internal strife, Lowry was once again sidelined with another lingering ailment, this time a bacterial infection. Back up point guard Goran Dragic asserted himself in his new role as the starter, which prompted the Rockets to trade Lowry to clear cap space while acquiring draft picks

Lowry reportedly earned $4.6 million in 2012

2012 – 2015

During the off season, Lowry was traded to the Toronto Raptors in exchange for small forward Gary Forbes and a future first round pick. Lowry had moderate success in his inaugural season with the Raptors, which was somewhat derailed by an injury early in the 2012-2013 season. While Lowry was on bench duty upon his return, he regained the starting point guard role when Jose Calderon was traded in exchange for small forward Rudy Gay from the Memphis Grizzlies. This was a critical cross roads season for Lowry as new general manager Masai Ujiri believed that Lowry had the talent to be a star point guard. However, Ujiri wanted to see Lowry establish a more amicable relationship with his coaches. Lowry appeared to be receptive to Ujiri’s advice and vowed to be a renewed athlete and leader the following season.

With leading scorer Rudy Gay being traded after the Raptors started the 2013-2014 season 6-12, Lowry and shooting guard DeMar DeRozan decided to be the new distinguished leaders of the team. This established camaraderie was essential in the Raptors ushering in a new era of prolific success. The Raptors compiled an impressive 48-34 record, good for third in the Eastern Conference. Although the Raptors would go on to lose in the first round to the Brooklyn Nets, Lowry had one of his best seasons to date (17.9 PPG, 7.4 APG, 4.7 RPG). Lowry’s stellar statistical output and newly developed leadership intangibles made him one of the most coveted free agents in the off season. He ultimately re-signed with the Raptors to a four year, $48 million contract.

After getting his financial dues, Lowry didn’t waste anytime in ensuring that the Raptors would once again be one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference. His versatility shined through more than ever and he was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Month for December (only the second Raptor since Chris Bosh to receive this type of recognition). However, Lowry’s best achievement for the year came when he was voted into his first All-Star game as a starter. As a result of Lowry’s perfect health and contributions on the court, the Raptors achieved a franchise best 49 wins. Yet, the Raptors playoff woes continued as they were swept in the first round by the Washington Wizards.

Lowry reportedly earned $12 million in 2015.

2015 – Present

With the abysmal playoff performance of the previous season still weighing heavily on Lowry, the ever determined point guard got himself into the best physical shape of his career. Lowry’s offseason training paid off noticeably as he helped the Raptors get off to their best start in franchise history at 4-0. Lowry reached his peak as a scorer, particularly as a three point shooter (shot a career high 38.8% from beyond the arch). His flashy playing style earned him a spot on the All-Star roster for the second year in a row. Once again, the Raptors exceeded their win total from the previous season, this time with 50. Despite suffering from bursitis in his shooting elbow, Lowry and the Raptors were able to defeat the Indiana Pacers in seven games in the first round. However, Lowry overcame his initial shooting slump in the second round of the playoffs against the Miami Heat. Combined with his tenacity on defense, the Raptors defeated the Heat in seven games to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in franchise history. Lowry maintained his shooting prowess against the Cleveland Cavaliers, scoring 35 points on two separate occasions. While the Raptors eventually lost to the Cavaliers in six games, Lowry proved that he could be a star player in both the postseason and regular season.

During the 2016-2017 season, Lowry established career highs in scoring (22.4 PPG), rebounds (4.8 RPG) and three point shooting percentage (41.2%). The Raptors finished the season as the three seed in the Eastern Conference and matched the Milwaukee Bucks physicality in the first round (won the series in six games). Unfortunately, Lowry and the Raptors were unable to build off the success they had against the Cavaliers in the playoffs last season. The Raptors were unable to stifle the Cavaliers on defense, which ended the Raptors season with a 4-0 sweep.

Lowry has been an intriguing athlete to watch over his career. Despite his tremendous lows due to injuries and demotions, he used those unfavorable moments to become a more disciplined and respected player. While the Raptors once again succumbed to being inconsistent in the playoffs, Lowry will be a highly coveted free agent and could potentially get a max contract. Whether Lowry stays with or leaves the Raptors, his underdog story should not be overlooked as he proved that adversity can bring out the best in a professional athlete.

Early Tuesday morning, an emergency was declared at The Plutonium Uranium Extraction Plant at Hanford in Washington State after a tunnel containing radioactive material reportedly collapsed. The facility’s 3,000 employees on site have been told to shelter in place and avoid eating or drinking anything as the plant remains on lockdown.

What Happened?

The tunnel was connected to a plutonium uranium extraction (PUREX) complex, which handles about 65% of the plutonium processed from irradiated fuel rods at Hanford. It is unclear how much radioactive material was present in the tunnel at the time of the emergency.

Officials are still trying to determine what exactly what went wrong.

“There is no confirmation of a tunnel collapse,” a Hanford Site spokesperson told Motherboard. “What we saw that caused us to declare the emergency was a small area of sunken soil that covered the tunnel in question. There is no evidence of a radioactive release or contamination. All staff are accounted for and right now we have the Hanford Fire Department on standby.”

The incident may have resulted from nearby construction work.

The Plutonium Uranium Extraction Plant at Hanford

Hanford was established in 1943 to process nuclear materials for the top-secret Manhattan Project. The plutonium manufactured at the site was used in the first nuclear bomb tested at Trinity in New Mexico, as well as in Fat Man, the atomic bomb detonated over Nagasaki in 1945.

The production of plutonium at Hanford ended in the 1980s, and in 1989, an agreement was struck between the DOE and the Environmental Protection Agency to totally demolish the site. As the DOE writes on its website, “nowhere in the DOE complex is cleanup more challenging than at the Hanford Site,” which partly has to do with the “hundreds of billions of gallons of liquid waste…generated during the plutonium production days.”

Hanford has a long history of poor disposal efforts that led to unintentional spills. Today, the plant has been tagged with the informal monkiers as the “most toxic place in America” and “America’s Chernobyl.”

Piazza, 19, passed away on February 4, 2017, after suffering major internal injuries from a fall during pledge night activities at the Beta Theta Pi house at Penn State.

Piazza’s death spurred a multitude of changes in the Penn State Greek life community. On March 30, Penn State levied hard sanctions against Greek life focused on hazing. These changes altered the rules for how fraternities and sororities can recruit members and host social events with alcohol. Beta Theta Pi was also permanently banned from Penn State.

This week, the Beta Theta Pi corporation was charged with involuntary manslaughter, as well as eight other former members of the fraternity. Nine brothers face arraignment at 2:00 P.M. Friday at the Centre County Court House.

The list of fraternity members charged includes President Brendan Young, Daniel Casey, Jonah Neuman, Nick Kubera, Michael Bonatucci, Gary Dibileo, Luke Visser, and Joe Sala. Michael Angelo Schiavone, Craig Heimer, Lars Kenyon Parker Jax Yochim, Ed Gilmartin, Ryan McCan, Lucas Rockwell, Braxton Becker, Ryan Foster, and Joseph Ems were also charged.

Today, audio of the 911 call placed by a member of Beta Theta Pi after Piazza suffered fatal injuries from a night of drinking has been released.

In the recording, Beta Theta Pi brother Ryan McCann can be heard calmly informing the operator that Timothy Piazza has been unconscious, however, he does not mention the fact that the 19-year-old pledge had been in a near-vegetative state for close to 12 hours.

McCann, along with 17 others, is now one of the brothers facing charges in the case. Two of the men, Brendan Young and Daniel Casey, were indicted on 200 counts by a grand jury.

Furthermore, grand jury testimony from Detective David Scicchitano which has been released in the case revealed that in the eight days before Piazza’s death, Craig Heimer purchased $1,179.30 worth of alcohol for the fraternity.

Those purchases consisted of ‘numerous cases of Crown Rouse vodka and Natural Light Beer, 15 cases of Four Loko and multiple boxes of wine’ according receipts inspected by Detective Scicchitano. Authorities claim that part of that massive liquor haul was later consumed by pledges in the hours before Piazza fell approximately 15 feet down a stairwell and sustained an injury that led to his death after the young men present refused to call 911 for 12 hours.

In text messages obtained by authorities which were sent in the days prior to the pledge event, one of the brother’s can be seen asking Heimer to make large alcohol runs. Heimer was one of the few members of the fraternity who was old enough to legally purchase liquor. In one text exchange, Michael Schiavone, who was also 21, asks Heimer if he could purchase ‘175 [Four] Lokos, seven cases of Natty [Natural Light], on crate of [Crown] Rouse.’

Heimer then asked how much money he should get, how many bottles were in a crate of the vodka and where he could get that many Lokos. Schiavone responded by texting that it would be $800 case, the crate contained ‘six handles’ and gave him the name of a local store that had close to 200 cans of Four Loko in stock.

Ten of the defendants were arraigned Friday and were released on bail and the remaining defendants will be arraigned next week. The ten brothers who were not charged with involuntary manslaughter are facing charges including reckless endangerment and tampering with evidence.

Chelsea Manning, born Bradley Manning, is the former Army intelligence analyst who was convicted by court-martial in July 2013 of violations of the Espionage Act and other offenses after disclosing hundreds of thousands of classified or unclassified but sensitive military and diplomatic documents. She is set to be released from prison next week after serving nearly seven years.

“I can see a future for myself as Chelsea,”‘ Manning, a transgender woman who began her transition while in custody, said in a statement. “I can imagine surviving and living as the person who I am and can finally be in the outside world. Freedom used to be something that I dreamed of, but never allowed myself to fully imagine.”

It is unclear when exactly Manning will be released.

Just before former President Barack Obama left office in January, he commuted all but four months of Manning’s remaining sentence. Before Obama cut 28 years from her sentence, she was going to serve 35 years in a men’s military prison.

Manning also faced new charges in July 2016: three administrative prison offenses related to her first two suicide attempts last year. After being placed in solitary confinement as punishment for the first suicide attempt, Manning again tried to take her own life in October.

“I am forever grateful to the people who kept me alive, President Obama, my legal team, and countless supporters,” said Manning on Tuesday, citing struggles over “nearly seven years of bars and cement, of periods of solitary confinement, and of my health care and autonomy restricted, including through routinely forced haircuts.”

Manning gave credit to the support she’s received through letters for keeping her going.

“I watched the world change from inside prison walls and through the letters that I have received from veterans, trans young people, parents, politicians, and artists,” Manning said. “My spirits were lifted in dark times, reading of their support, sharing in their triumphs, and helping them through challenges of their own.”

“Phaeacia” Preview/Trailer

AMC’s The Walking Dead will return for its eighth season in October, but that’s not soon enough for some fans. Devoted viewers are so hungry for new details that they’ll rabidly devour any morsel of information like a starving Walker. Fortunately for them, actor Daniel Newman (who plays Kingdom soldier Daniel) just provided them with some.

Warning: The following contains possible spoilers for The Walking Dead season eight.

Newman posted then deleted an Instagram photo that showed him, Rick and Andy from the Hilltop at The Sanctuary where Negan and his followers reside. But what does this mean?

TV Guide suggests that since “Rick Grimes hasn’t been to the Sanctuary on The Walking Dead to date, and filming on season eight started last week,” the photo “heavily suggests that Grimes’ army will bring the fight to Negan’s front yard early on in season eight. Specifically, fans are speculating that a major battle from Robert Kirkman’s comic books… will go down during or close to the season eight premiere.”

Piggybacking off that, Andrew Lincoln did describe the season eight premiere as “one of the greatest episodes we’ve ever attempted.”

Rick taking it to the Saviors on their home turf isn’t a major spoiler since fans assumed it would go down at some point. But Newman’s Instagram post let fans know exactly when it will happen and proved that showrunner Scott M. Gimple wasn’t messing around when he promised that season eight would be “a bit more kinetic, a bit more breakneck.” It sounds like the premiere will feature a pretty intense battle that should set the stage for the remaining season.

Would The Walking Dead have the balls to kill off Negan in the first new episode? Almost assuredly not, but it’s fun to think about.

It’s do or die tonight, as the Rangers are looking to stave off elimination from the Senators. After coughing up a lead and losing in overtime, the Rangers gave the series lead back to the Senators. This second round matchup could potentially wrap up at Madison Square Garden as game six carries a lot of weight for both teams.

The Rangers were my favorites to appear in the eastern conference finals after they were able to knock out the Montreal Canadiens. New York seemed to prove they can move the puck up and down the ice, as they just seemed to have Montreal number for a majority of their series. But game five had shades of game two, as the Rangers had the lead, lost the lead, gained the lead back, lost it again, and then the eventual loss in overtime. If only the Rangers were able to win one of those two overtimes, they would be heading back to New York with a chance to win the series. However, the Rangers are looking down the barrel of the gun, as they have to throw everything they have at the Senators if they want to keep their postseason alive.

The Senators seem to be a completely different team in the second round compared to the first. While I love the Bruins, I did not think they were a strong team going into the playoffs, yet they were able to play on par with the Senators. After comparing the Rangers’ play against the Canadiens to the Senators’ play against the Bruins, I thought for sure the Rangers would dominate. Ottawa seems to have taken the time off between rounds to really analyze and correct their mistakes and shortfalls and they are on the brink of heading to the third round. Two overtime wins helped to seal their series win over the Bruins and the same case could happen here. If the Senators can lay the pressure on the Rangers, Ottawa has a chance of knocking out New York and making it back to their first eastern conference finals in exactly ten years.

“Cop-Con” Preview

Kevin Olsen, the younger brother of Carolina Panthers Hall of Fame (probably) tight end, Greg Olsen, has been indicted by a North Carolina Grand Jury on charges of rape.

Olsen, who was a quarterback for the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Towson University, and the University of Miami, remains free on $103,000 bail.

In February, he was charged with felony second-degree forcible rape, cyberstalking, assault on a female and second-degree forced sex.

A woman who dated Olsen told investigators the athlete struck her with a pillow, then his fist before sexually assaulting her three times.

Olsen was arrested Feb. 19 and suspended from the Charlotte 49ers. The team represents the NCAA Division I sports teams of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Both Greg and Kevin Olsen are graduates of Wayne Hills high school, where their father coached. I also graduated from Wayne Hills high school and spent two years at school with Kevin. Similarly, most of my friends were on the football team (I was not, as I a foot fairy back then, or so they called it), so I would always hear about the inner workings of the team, Kevin included.

My two sense? I think what happened to Kevin is a result of what I call the ‘Todd Marinovich Syndrome.’ For those unfamiliar, Marinovich was a former quarterback who played for the Los Angeles Raiders. Marinovich is known for the well-documented, intense focus of his training as a young athlete, and for his brief career upon reaching the professional leagues that was cut short primarily because of his addiction to drugs.

From my point of view, that’s essentially what happened to Olsen.

Growing up, whether it be through my personal exchanges with him, or what my buddies on the football team would say about him, he was by all accounts a good kid. Spoiled, cocky, little off, sure? But he was a kind kid. If you’ve ever heard Greg Olsen speak, it isn’t hard to imagine, either. Dude seems like he’s the nicest guy in the NFL. Hell, even their father, the stereotypical ‘hard ass football coach’ was actually a super, super friendly, polite, kind dude.

Olsen’s life was built around football, practice, and family, never giving him a chance to properly mature. From what I remember, he barely drank in high school, and certainly never smoked. In fact, he never did anything wrong because he was under his dad’s thumb. However, once the reigns were adjusted, and Olsen was given more control of his own life, I think the wheels fell off, and his missed opportunity at a chance to properly mature really showed.

I think that kind kid that Kevin was, was worked so hard throughout adolescence that by the time he was given a taste of freedom, it all unraveled, and then snowballed from there.

It’s just, back in 2013, when Olsen’s troubles began, I never thought it would snowball to this point.

But again, this is just my opinion, so please take it with a grain of salt.

FX’s The Americans continues its fifth season tonight with episode No. 10, “Darkroom,” at 10:00 P.M.

Richard Henry Patterson, 60, admitted to having choked his girlfriend Francisca Marquinez, 60, on Oct. 28, 2015, but didn’t reveal how…until now (maybe). Almost two years after the fatal encounter, Patterson is now saying that he accidentally choked his girlfriend to death as she preformed oral sex. And he’s requested to reveal his member to the jury to prove his story.

Patterson’s lawyer, Ken Padowitz, claims that the jury must take into account his client’s penis as an accidental murder weapon.

““Dr. [Ronald] Wright, an expert witness and former Broward County medical examiner, will testify that … her death is consistent with being accidentally sexually asphyxiated during oral sex,” Padowitz wrote in the motion. “It is material and relevant. The view by the jury is essential for them to fully understand Dr. Wright’s testimony and the defense in this case.”

My heavens! Is that man really going to take out his thing in court? If the jury says no to this unusual request than there’s another option. A possible way to accomplish this task, without Patterson whipping out his willy in front in the courtroom, is by creating a mold of the suspect’s member. Alright, that sounds a bit more reasonable.

What’s the other side of the story?

The “big willy” defense sounds plausible. The junior high school kid in all of us may find this proposition to be f*cking hilarious. But there may be some motives on the table, which suggest more foul play than fatal oral sex.

Marquinez’s neighbors claims that the deceased was unhappy with their relationship. The neighbors also claim that two days before she passed away, the couple was arguing and shouting at each other. They allege that she was trying to break up with Patterson.

According to police records, the suspect called his lawyer before police discovered the victim’s body. She had already been dead between 8 and 24 hours.

Patterson texted his daughter, informing her that he had “did something bad.” He also told his friend, “I choked her. I choked Francisca.”

“He said he choked her,” said the suspect’s defense attorney Ken Padowitz. “He never said he strangled her.”

Trump wrote in a letter, that Comey’s firing was necessary to restore “public trust and confidence.” Comey has recently come under scrutiny for his role in Hillary Clinton’s e-mail practices, including a pair of letters he sent to congress regarding these practices only a couple days before November’s presidential election. The President did not indicate whether these factors led to Comedy’s dismissal on Tuesday.

The White House is currently looking for a new FBI Director to fill Comey’s role.

Today’s yuge firing of the nation’s FBI Director came right after the FBI corrected a sentence in Comey’s testimony on Capitol Hill last week. Comey had said to lawmakers that Huma Abedin, a top aide to Hillary Clinton, was responsible for sending “hundreds and hundreds” of e-mails to her estranged husband’s laptop, including classified information. Huma had separated from her husband back in August, as more sexting scandals began to mount.

On Tuesday, the FBI released a two-page letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee. This document reveals that only “a small number” of the thousands of e-mails discovered on the laptop were forwards to there, while most of the e-mails had only been backed up by electronic devices. The FBI says that most of the classified e-mail chains were not the result of forwarding.

Hillary Clinton blames James Comey for her loss in November. She names Comey as one of the key reasons why she lost the election against Donald Trump. “I was on the way to winning until the combination of Jim Comey’s letter on Oct. 28 and Russian Wikileaks raised doubts in the minds of people who were inclined to vote for me but got scared off,” she said. “And the evidence for that intervening event is compelling, persuasive.”

Who is James Comey?

Former FBI Director James Comey was hired back in Barry O’s administration. President Barack Obama nominated Comey for the FBI post in 2013 to a 10-year term. Comey had spent three decades working in law enforcement.

Comey was against former President George W. Bush’s federal domestic surveillance program. At the time, he was deputy attorney general. He rushed to the hospital bed of Attorney General John Ashcroft in an attempt to stop White House officials from convincing his sickly boss to reauthorize a secret no-warrant wiretapping program. He believed this spy program to be “legally questionable.”

The then-acting Deputy Attorney General described the incident in a 2007 testimony to Congress. Ashcroft’s wife had requested “no visitors,” but Andrew Card, the president’s chief of staff, and Alberto Gonzales, the White House counsel, were heading to Ashcroft’s hospital room anyway. But Comey beat them there and was present when Ashcroft denied their proposition.

“That night was probably the most difficult night of my professional life,” Comey said.

I was never much of an outdoors kid.

Well, that isn’t true. I loved playing sports, riding my bike, f*cking around with friends, etc, etc. What I didn’t enjoy was playing in, uh, nature. The woods made my itchy. Snow made my cold. Why bother with either? Call me a grump, but during snow days, when all the kids were running outside to roll around in the snow, I was wrapped up cozy on the couch, drinking hot chocolate, watching movies, and by the time I was old enough, cranking multiple out.

Does any of that have anything to do with this video? I don’t know, kind of. I guess my point is this: stay the f*ck out of nature. Man has evolved out of nature and into shelter and technology for a reason. Just imagine this dude was on foot, going for a hike or what have you? Night night. Iced. KO’d. Body-bagged.

Breezango’s Fashion Files: London Edition

They’ll have the short hairs standing on the back of their neck in anticipation of The Usos. Or at least that’s what the tag team champs think. Main Event: Randy Orton, Sami Zayn & AJ Styles vs. Jinder Mahal, Baron Corbin & Kevin Owens

Corbin and Styles fight to kickoff the main event of the evening. After back-and-forth action between AJ and Baron, Sami Zayn gets the tag, and so does Jinder Mahal. The fans chant “ole!” Sami locks in the head-scissors and sends Mahal flying. Orton gets the tag, but Jinder wants nothing of The Viper. Owens get the tag as the fans “boo.” Orton assaults KO and goes in for the kill. Randy attempts an RKO, but Owens exits the ring.

We’re back from the break, and now AJ Styles and Baron Corbin are going at it. Jinder gets the tag, but eats a dropkick from AJ for his troubles. Zayn gets the tag, but Jinder beats him into a corner. Owens gets tagged in, and now we see another epic exchange in the storied rivalry between KO and Sami Zayn.

KO and Zayn duel shots. Owens fights his former best friend into the corner as the crowd counts along with each blow. Sami runs the ropes, but gets caught by KO. Owens put the stompin’ on Sami, that’s for damn sure.

Corbin gets the tag and knocks Zayn out of the ring. Jinder hits a cheap shot on Sami, as Orton and AJ come over to keep better watch of their partner and their opponents. Corbin brings “The Underdog of the Underground” back into the ring. Baron pins Sami, but the little guy with the big heart kicks out at the count of 2.

Corbin is in complete control. Sami tries to rally back, but the big man swats the underdog out of the air like a fly. Corbin goes for the cover again…1…2…kick out! Baron tags in Jinder who immediately goes on the assault. Jinder brings Sami to the corner and makes him crumble with a dropkick to the back. Mahal goes for the cover, but the resilient Sami kicks out once more.

Owens receives the tag and continues torturing Sami Zayn. Owens slaps a headlock on the underdog and later lays the smackdown on Sami with a senton splash. Ouch!

We’re back from the break, and Sami Zayn is regaining ground (and air). He runs the ropes and dives onto his opponents. AJ and Corbin duke it out next. They exchange hard shots, but Baron gains the upper-hand and lands a backdrop on Styles. Corbin goes for the cover, but AJ kicks out at 2.

“Hard Body” Mahal gets the tag and lays his knees into Styles. He then applies his own headlock onto “The Phenomenal One.” AJ fights out of the hold, but almost immediately eats a sick running knee from Mahal. Jinder goes for the cover, but AJ kicks out once more at the count of 2. Now, Owens gets the tag and puts the boots to AJ. KO screams at “The Face That Runs The Place,” and applies a headlock.

AJ breaks free and tags in Randy Orton who enters the ring like a lightning bolt. He finally gets his hands on Mahal and sends him flying with a powerslam. Corbin tries to intervene, but gets laid out with a powerslam as well. Owens comes in, but gets dropped with a DDT.

Orton is right about to hit Jinder with an RKO, but the Singh Brothers intervene and climb up onto the apron. Orton turns around and gets taken out by Mahal. But then the quick Sami Zayn smacks the #1 contender (Mahal) with a Blue Thunderbomb. Baron enters the ring and takes out Sami with a backbreaker. Then AJ smacks Corbin with a pele kick. Owens knocks AJ out of the ring. Complete carnage, folks! A true slobber knocker!

Randy hits an RKO on Owens. But then “Hard Body” Mahal sneaks up from behind and hits a Cobra Clutch slam onto Orton.

Rob & Big star Christopher “Big Black” Boykin has passed away at the age of 45.

Boykin, born January 13, 1972, in Raleigh, Mississippi, was an American entertainer and musician best known for his role on MTV’s Rob & Big, which followed Boykin and his co-star, skateboarder Rob Dyrdek.

Boykin, who previously served in the U.S. Navy, was Dyrdek’s best friend and bodyguard on Rob & Big, which ran from 2006 to 2008. Boykin also appeared on Dyrdek’s show Fantasy Factory.

Boykin also appeared in the skateboarding video games Skate and Skate 2. Boykin eventually had to leave Rob & Big due to some family matters, however, he made his comeback appearance on Fantasy Factory. He has also appeared on shows such as MTV Snack Off and Guy Code.

He is survived by his nine-year-old daughter.

Christopher ‘Big Black’ Boykin, who was the other half of Rob Dyrdek’s hit MTV show “Rob & Big” — has died … TMZ has learned.

His rep tells us Chris died Tuesday morning. No word on cause of death yet.

He was Rob’s best friend and bodyguard on their reality show, which ran from 2006 to 2008 — and also appeared on ‘Fantasy Factory.’

20th Century Fox‘s upcoming film Alien: Covenant won’t arrive intheaters until next weekend, meaning we still have no idea how the film will be received by fans and critics or how it will perform at the box office. 2012’s Prometheus under-delivered ($403 million off a $130 million budget) and was met with mixed reaction. So despite all of the unknowns, director Ridley Scott is already boldly talking up a sequel.

Scott told IGN UK, “we’re writing [a sequel] now, as we speak. I’ll be filming that within 14 months.” He also gave gave an update on Neill Blomkamp’s (District 9) now defunct Alien film, calling it Awakening, a title that Scott has used in reference to the possible upcoming films in the series.

Scott said, “They wanted to do Alien, er, Awakening – Neill Blomkamp. I said fine. I was going to be the producer. If I could have, I would have. Except I do question – why have both [Blomkamp’s Alien and Scott’s Alien] out there? It seems like shooting your big toe off – it doesn’t make sense.

“But they didn’t go forward with it, Fox, so I just kind of kept out of it. I mean, I’d literally ignited this thing to bring it off the ground again, because it was lying there dormant on a shelf. I had this thing to bring it back up – but here we are.”

In other words, Scott decided he wanted to do yet another Alien film and he didn’t want Blomkamp stealing any of his thunder so he told Fox to shut that s— down.

Scott returns to the universe he created with 1979’s Alien with Alien: Covenant. The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.

Alien: Covenant stars Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Jussie Smollett, Callie Hernandez, Nathaniel Dean, Alexander England, Benjamin Rigby, and James Franco.

John Logan (Spectre) and Dante Harper penned the Alien: Covenant screenplay. Alien: Covenant will open in theaters on May 19.

Reports are coming in that legendary producer and DJ Roberto Concina, also known as Robert Miles, has passed away at the age of 47 in Ibiza.

His death is being reported as a result of an undisclosed disease he was suffering from.

Miles helped pioneer dream trance into the mainstream through his release of “Children” (1995), which ended up selling more than 5 million copies and spent thirteen consecutive weeks at the Euro Top 100 chart number 1 spot. The single also topped the charts in 12 different countries and earned Miles the Brit Award for best international breakthrough act in 1997.

Miles’ friend and colleague, Joe T Vannelli, said the following: “The tragic news of the death of a very talented artist of our time, makes me incredulous and upset. With him also it is a part of my life as an artist manufacturer. I will miss the fights, brawls, criticism, judgments but especially your talent in finding sounds and melodies unparalleled.”

Miles was born to Italian immigrants in Switzerland before the family moved to Italy. As a child, Miles excelled at piano. As he grew up, he began working as a DJ in Italian clubs and private radio networks.

His big break came in 1995 when he dream trans piano song “Children” sold 350,000 copies in two weeks. In 1996, Miles dropped his debut album Dreamland, which earned platinum and gold honors and helped birth the progressive sound genre.

Overall, Miles released five official albums: Dreamland (1996), 23am (1997), Organik (2001), Miles_Gurtu (2004) and Th1rt3en (2011). In recent years, Miles launched a Balearic radio station called Open Lab, which played experimental music.
